Ladies and gentlemen, are you excited? I might just be pretending to be excited, but you can't tell. Actually, you know, if you know who my guest is, if you know my relationship with Billy Hollowell, you know I really am excited. I'm not faking it. I'm excited. Billy, love to have you back. Welcome. I always love being here.

Thanks for having me. Well, it's exciting because we like the same things or where we have similar interests. And you, in case people don't know who you are. among other things, you're a journalist, a broadcaster, but you are a man of faith, and you have created a new film. That's what we're going to talk about right now, called investigating the supernatural angels and demons.

Now, you don't believe, surely you don't believe in that kind of medieval stuff like angels and demons. You know, we're men of science. Well, you know, I do, actually, and I'll tell you, you know what's crazy to me about this topic that's so interesting, and you know this already, but the majority of Americans believe in angels and demons,

which is so fascinating to me, because I feel like the materialists, a lot of scientists, a lot of people out there, and there are plenty of scientists who do believe, but a lot of those people in the academic world, the secularists, they will act as though you're a weirdo

if you believe in these things, that you're somehow strange, but the majority of the country believes these things exist. Well, I just have to say, this is my life, this is the story of my life, that we've been gaslit, by the cultural elites.

And most of us have been guilty of going along with it in some ways. I don't want to talk about that because, I mean, I wrote a book on miracles. By the way, folks, I recommend my own book on miracles. It's good. One miracle after the other. I know almost every single person in the book

who tells the stories. I know them personally. These are true stories. But the reason I'm bringing it up is not just because I hope people will read it, but because I noticed I would ask friends, have you ever had a miracle? I'd say I want to put my friends miracle stories if you have a good miracle story.

Many of them said to me, no, I feel funny sharing it. And I thought, what is wrong with you? Like, are you making it up? Are you afraid you lost your mind? Like, no, no, no. Oh, it's real. Oh, it's real. Well, then why don't you share it?

Well, oh, I don't know. And I thought, shame on you. I had a couple of friends. Honestly, I was really angry at them. I thought, shame on you. You have an amazing story of God. and you are keeping your mouth shut about it. And this gets to the heart of what we're talking about

that most people know there's something beyond this world, but we live in a culture where TV or whatever it is, they don't get into this, which is why I'm thrilled you've made this film. Yeah. Well, you know what, I got to say this too, and then I obviously want to talk about the film, but what you just said is so important

because it's what the devil wants. He wants us to not talk about this, because obviously if we're talking about it, it means that we're getting it out to people and we're living at a time where all these young people are coming forward and they want to accept Jesus or they're at least interested in accepting Jesus. And it's been since 2023, this amazing time of watching all the young people who have been lied to by culture, right, realizing they've been lied to and they're looking for the answer. They're looking for the truth.

And we're seeing examples of how the supernatural miracles, angels and demons, heaven and hell, how these topics are actually apologetic topics. So when we withhold the story that we know we have evidence for and is true, we're actually withholding an opportunity to reach people for the gospel. And that is something I've been so convicted on as I've been journeying through these projects, because I'm like, wait a minute, this is actually a proof. For people who have been hyper secularized, this becomes a proof for them. And so we need to be sharing these stories and talking about it. I really, again, this is why I love you because you care about this stuff. And because you understand that this is a spiritual battle. We have an enemy who doesn't want us to talk

about this, who wants us to talk about to pretend, well, oh, who's to say or a lot of those people are making it up or they're just emotional? Ladies and gentlemen, there are emotional people making stuff up, but I'm not one of them. Billy's not one of them. And I know an infinite number of people who have had outrageous miracles. And when you dig down, you ask details, details, details, there's no doubt that it's real. I mean, I've had a number in my own lifetime. And as some of them, I've written about, some of them I've talked about on this program, but it's totally real. And this doesn't mean, you know, you just say, God, give me a miracle and he gives you a miracle, but you should be open to it. And when you hear these stories, it builds your fate. So how is it

that you, Billy, were led to make this film. Yeah. You know, we, so we are in the middle of a series of films. It's a trilogy. And you know how it is a filmmaking. You make one and you hope you can make the next one. So we made our first film, which was investigating the supernatural miracles. It just won at the Movie Guy Awards for Best Documentary a couple of weeks ago, which is incredible. This new one, investigating the supernatural angels and demons, it was always part of a plan

initially to do a TV show. We were going to do a TV series, three 30-minute episodes. Jared Anderson, who is the heart and soul behind these projects. He's the director. He's brilliant. Emmy-nominated, very smart guy.

He sort of crackeded the TV idea. We went out, we started filming, and we immediately knew these cannot be 30-minute episodes. There was far too much of a story to tell. And so that was sort of the baseline. And then we got out there and you start talking to people and you start digging in. And it just becomes this incredible roller coaster ride of stories that are undeniable.

Right. And so when we moved into the angels and demon subject matter, it's a heavier subject matter. But I think it's so important and it's so incredible. And a lot of times when you're dealing with the angels and the demon stories, you're still dealing with the miracle stories. You're still dealing with experiences that people have that are, far more than just, oh, I think I encountered something beyond myself, something supernatural. So it's been an amazing journey.

One of the stories in my Miracles book is about a friend of mine who saw an angel. And some of these stories are so weird. He saw the angel at St. Thomas's Episcopal Church on Fifth Avenue in New York City. And if you know my friend Peter, you know, he's a sincere Christian. and the details of what he saw are so breathtaking that I would say most of the people who said their favorite thing in my miracles book is the story about this angel. And so, you know, I would argue that if we're saying what's a miracle, anytime you see anything from another world, that's the miraculous, right? So we don't just think about, oh, I had a miracle. I got miraculously healed of this or this.

but anything like this. And Angels, to me, falls into that category, seeing the demonic, you know, we don't think of that as miraculous. But the point is, this is real. This is something that a lot of the world is uncomfortable talking about. But folks like you, Billy and me and a lot of people listening to this, they absolutely know this is real. This is not, there's nothing new under the sun, but there are things that have happened that we have seen and watched and there's so much deception and chaos. And I think the outside world, there are a lot of people right now asking questions. When I say outside world, I mean outside of the Christian church, who are asking those questions

And you've got a lot of churches, a number of churches out there not talking about these topics, not equipping people, you're not going to win it if you don't know you're in it. I've completely, anybody who knows me or who watches this show, knows that over the years I have totally lost patience.

with Christians, especially Christian leaders who are afraid to talk about this stuff, I don't know what the heck they're thinking. They're wrong on a number of levels because I think that they think, well, if I don't go in that direction, I will attract more people to the message. And I think, I don't even think that that's true. I think there are tons of people that if they hear somebody credible talk about this, they're all ears. They're thinking, well, he's clearly not making it up.

He's clearly not nuts. Well, I'd like to know more. Maybe I'll disagree, but I'm interested. This is something we ought to be talking about more. And again, I've experienced so many clearly miraculous things, not as many as I would like, frankly, because it's an amazing thing. But it is very, very important. And so, well, when people watch this now, your film,

the new film, investigating the supernatural angels and demons. So what are they going to see? Are you, you're interviewing people who've had experiences? So here's the thing. Yes, we interview people who have had these experiences. We keep these films to three to four stories. So it's a very limit. You get to go very in-depth in these stories.

And we pick very credible stories that we have vetted, we have gone through before we even get out into the field to do the interviews and we travel the country doing it, we know that we have something that is interesting. Something has happened here that we probably can't explain, but we're going to try to figure it out. We're going to try to poke holes and see and give them a chance to explain. But not just telling people what to think or telling them the story, we show them.

So there's reenactments. There's acting. We wanted people to see what these things looked like. And we have incredible stories. Bruce Vanatta is one of the stories. He was crushed under a semi-truck and literally died and had an NDE. And I can talk more about that story. And so there's a near-death experience.

Sorry, near-death experience. I think it's a near-death experience. death experience. Although you're making it sound like he had a death experience. He had a death experience, which I think it's interesting. And there are some people who don't like the near-death experience term because if you code and you die, you've essentially died and had a death experience, right? There's nothing near about it. Right, right. I mean, and here's, I mean, here's the thing, too, what you just said about people not being afraid, pastors and others being afraid that this will be too weird. There was recently, I'm going to be careful because I don't want to

get either of us in trouble. There was a young person, the son of a prominent person, person who was being witnessed to by an apologist. They were on the phone. They were talking. And this guy is 19 or 20 years old. He was listening and the apologist was trying to get him to believe in Jesus and believe in the Bible. And he was trying every apologetics trick. Nothing was working until he started telling this young guy, hey, you know what? There are Muslims in the Middle East who wake up after having dreams of Jesus. He supernaturally appears to them or in dreams he appears to them and they become Christians. It was that story that caught. the attention of this young of this young person. And that is why it's so important we tell these

stories. And by the way, Hollywood is talking about Christian subject matter, not in a theologically correct way, more than some churches are every Halloween when they make these movies. And so that should be convicting to us. Yeah, I know the folks you're talking about, and I want to say, I was that young man many years ago. I was intellectually gumbed up. I remember the guy who led me to faith, my dearest friend, Ed Tuttle, he was giving me a copy of mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and this and that. And none of it, I couldn't care less. I read it.

And something inside me just did not receive. I was, you know, because we have to understand, folks, there's spiritual mysteries here. If you're dumb enough to think that you've got some formula that you can convince somebody, I mean, nobody believes in apologetics more than I do. I've written several books that deal with apologetics. My book is atheism dead. But at the end of the day, the Holy Spirit has to be involved. Otherwise, it's like thrown BBs against a brick wall.

Nothing's happening. And for me, it was a dream. The Lord spoke to me in a dream. It completely changed my life. I became a Christian overnight because God spoke to me in a dream. So I experienced a miracle that I needed, and God knew I needed a miracle. And so I would encourage people pray for miracles, pray for miracles in the lives of your friends or your loved ones or your children. It's just, it's important. But so can you,

can you share with us one or two of the storylines in this film investigating the supernatural? Yeah, absolutely. There's two that I'd like to highlight. One is Dr. Richard Gallagher, who is a very interesting guy. He's a psychiatrist in New York City. And he, you know, he's Ivy educated, Ivy League educated. He's taught at prominent schools like Columbia and continues to. And this is a guy who, the Catholic Church came to years ago and said, hey, we really want you to come in and investigate some of the cases we're dealing with to make sure that these people are not experiencing mental health challenges. You know, they're telling us that they're possessed or that it's evil. We want to have you come in and be the differentiator on that. And his initial reaction was,

I'm a skeptic. I don't believe in this stuff. I am the wrong person for you to bring in. And what they said to him was, no, you're actually the right person for us to have do this. So they bring him in. And he very quickly became a believer. as soon as he started seeing some of these stories. He dealt with one woman who we feature in the film. Her name is Julia. And it was a wild, wild journey, lots of elements to it. But one facet I could tell you as the day before the priest brought this woman to Dr. Gallagher's house that night,

his cats woke up in the middle of the night and they were having this insane fight. And the cats never did that, right? And he and his wife thought it was- Excuse me. I know you're trying to be serious, but like for some reason, strikes me as very funny. It is funny. It is. Like, folks, stay with us on this.

The cats are having a crazy fight. Not normal for these cats. Not normal for these two cats. Right. So the cat, it is funny. It's a funny story. The cats are having a fight and they're attacking each other. They separate the cats out.

And his doorbell rings the next morning. And it's the priest with this woman he has never met named Julia. And she starts telling him a bunch of things. And one of the things she says to him is, how did you like what the cats did last night? he's never met this woman. She was able to tell, so whatever, now this is a woman he believed, he said it was a once-in-a-century case.

You'll hear him say this in the film. She was fully possessed. She had been worshipping Satan, literally, in a cult. And she had come to him for help, though. She wanted release from this. And I won't spoil the story to find out what happens to her. It's kind of a sad story. But she comes to the door.

She tells him that, and she was also able to tell him things about his mother, how his mother died years ago, what she suffered from. So these are the sorts of situations that are documented, very real, and as funny as it is about the cats, how creepy is it that this woman was able to come? And I don't want people to be scared, by the way. That's something else just to note here.

We are not trying to terrify people with these stories. What we're trying to do is show this is real, and we show both the angelic side and the demonic side, and that we need to be aware of it. Well, it's interesting you bring that up. There's so much here. I want to talk to you for days about this, because when people say there's something,

scared of the demonic, right? Or they're scared of whatever. I want to say to them, first of all, you should be, but there's a solution, an easy solution. Jesus wants to come into your life and protect you from evil and wants to be with you. And, but there are people who are so scared of evil. They don't even want to, they don't even, they, it's almost like they would rather deal with, I mean, it'd be, it be no different than a woman who's being beat up by her boyfriend. And somebody says, like, you know, he's going to kill you. You need to get help. And she's like, no, no, no, I'll be okay.

I'll be okay. And you realize she doesn't want, there is actual help. There may be real help. But she's kind of, people are kind of like that with the demonic. Like you hear people that I hear voices or I hear this or that. And you say, well, there's a simple solution. These demons are scared of Jesus. if you bring Jesus into your life,

if you can deal with this. This is a real world, but there's no reason for you to be subject to this harassment or whatever. And there's some people that they just don't understand how powerful God is. So I just wanted to say, God is so powerful, folks, that if you walk around with him living inside you, if you accept him,

the demons are afraid of you. Oh, yeah. They don't want to mess with somebody who, knows who they are in Christ, and that's important. And so there's a lot of films out there, Billy, that, you know, I remember I tell people, don't ever watch The Exorcist if you can help it. Like, that's a really, I really say that very seriously, because it kind of glorifies evil, and it makes it seem like, you know, evil could win, and you realize, well, no, God wins,

but I think there are people, they have that view, like, I don't know who's going to win. I just don't want any trouble. So they basically avoid the whole thing. They're terrified, and there's no reason to be. I mean, look, going back to Ephesion 6, when it talks about taking up the shield of faith, the breastplate of righteousness, what does that mean? It means for those of us who aren't, look, all of us face spiritual oppression at some point. We all can face that, right?

Possession is a different story. And that's a full takeover. It's a little rarer. But when that happens, no matter what, all of it, you can be healed. And for Christians, if you're living as Christians, that's what it means to take up the shield of faith. Have a good prayer life. A solid prayer life.

Be reading scripture. Living as a Christian and taking a stand against. the devil's schemes by being a Christian. So we overcomplicate it. We don't have to be fearful. I mean, I think, yes, have a reverence and a fear and understand that this is very real. But when you're living the right way, you're protected and don't tell people who need help that they're just crazy and don't need it. Of course, you want to be discerning. But there are people who are struggling with very real spiritual issues and people are not churches and Christians are not only not treating it. They're encouraging them to ignore that and pretending it's only

a mental health issue. Yes, there are mental health issues, of course, but there are people who also are struggling spiritually, and we show that in the film. There are tons of churches where if you are being harassed by something demonic or whatever, and you go there to that church, they can do nothing for you.

I mean, it's so pathetic, because every church should be a hospital for this. They should know exactly what, you know, we'll get so and so to pray for you, or we know someone will call him. I always talk about my friend Ken Fish. He specializes in this. Deliverance.

But so many churches have no clue about deliverance, about any of this stuff, they just don't have a clue. And folks, we need to have a clue. It's kind of basic. I also want to say, Billy, what you were just talking about, you know, folks,

how you live your life, you can open doors to evil. So I say this to people. I hope I'll scare a few people by saying, like, if you're having sex outside of marriage, you're opening a door to the demonic. And you should be scared.

You should close every door. You should close every door, every known sin, you need to understand that, you know, God won't force you, but he asks you in love, close these doors, shut these doors, trust me, walk with me, walk in obedience to me, I've got something better for you, I love you, because people do have open doors. They open doors through sin, and this stuff is real. I guess that's the main point. This is real.

And I'm excited to see the film just based on what you've shared. How in the world did you find this case that you're talking about? Because I know there's three or four stories, but how did you find the one you just mentioned? We dug deep. You know, Richard Gallagher was somebody I had actually talked about in my playing with Firebook years ago. And so he was on my mind.

And I hadn't seen him really featured in any documentaries. He'd been featured in books. And so he was somebody who we, you know, we kind of went to look for the most, the people we felt we could trust, most, right? They had good credentials. They were solid people. And he just, he topped that list. And so we were able to dig into that. And the rest of the stories, you know, we really, we wanted a good balance between angels and demons. Because here's the interesting thing. Demons stick around.

So they're easy to find. Those stories are a lot easier to find angels. When you look at scripture, angels show up, they deliver a message and they kind of, they go away, but not really, because they're around us still. But they're not trying to bring glory to themselves. And so it's a very different dynamic. And so it was actually hard to find angel stories that we felt were credible and solid. We landed on some really good ones, but it took a lot longer. Unfortunately, it's a lot easier to find the demonic stories for obvious reason. They want to be seen and heard and to bring glory to themselves. So really just an interesting process.

But I also believe God just guided us through to all the people that we were supposed to include in this. I know I have a story in my Miracles book about an angel as a couple, but one of them is the rescue of an angel, of an angel of somebody saving their life. And I'm not at liberty to tell the story on the air right now, but Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and I had a conversation about this once probably about five or six years ago. And at some point, I need to ask his permission because it was such a fascinating conversation.

So many people have experienced this reality. so many people and it's real and God wants us to know more about it to have conversations about it which is why I just applaud all the work that you're doing

Billy. Now you mentioned Richard Gallagher is in New York can I contact? Is he still in New York? I'm amazed when you said that. I will connect you with Richard Gallagher. Absolutely.

He's still in Westchester. Yep, he's still here. Yeah. Well, again, this stuff is real. We just got a few minutes left. Do you go into Bigfoot in this book? in this film. We don't go into Bigfoot,

but I'll tell you what we do go into. We go into UFOs and aliens and extra, we spend a little bit of time on it. And when we were, you know how it is with the film, you're working on a film a year before it comes out. And we just felt that was before all the talk of releasing files.

That was before, you know, it was when this conversation was starting. And our feeling was that Christians need to have a response and an answer. And there's some debate among Christians on UFOs and aliens, right? We have, we had Hugh Ross in this, film. I'm just going to say, I just interviewed Hugh Ross for Socrates in the city, and I asked him

about this question. And he's where I learned about this. I mean, it was 1991. I think I read a book he wrote. And it's clearly demonic. But I am so thrilled you interviewed Hugh. He is the best of the best. And he has some crazy stories in the film. I mean, he is the best of the best. He has some wild stories in the film that we tell. And yes, I mean, the idea, you have a couple of days. You have a couple of different camps. You have some people who do believe, even in the Christian world, that aliens are a specific species. I don't know what you would even call it, created by God. That's not the camp that I'm in. Then you really have this demonic manifestation camp where UFOs and aliens are, they're demons. And the idea is to try to trick people into thinking there's something else. And think about it. I mean,

it's a brilliant plan. And we see this, look, angels can appear as people, right? Angels can appear in different forms. We see different descriptions of them in the Bible, and there's no reason to believe demons can't do the same exact thing. And so Hugh goes through, and I don't want to spoil it all, but, and you obviously know this because you interviewed him, he goes through different elements of the fact that, look, there's not physical evidence. Are you really seeing a physical UFO, or are these spiritual manifestations? And so really important questions. Look, people might think this is weird. They might not want to talk about it. The secular world is talking about this, and you have to have answers to it. And so that's why we decided to dive into it. And I can tell you one thing,

ladies and gentlemen, it is not extraterrestrials from another galaxy. That is a great deception. It's absolutely untrue. And we've been kind of falsely catechized our whole lives through the decades watching Star Trek, watching whatever that like, oh, of course there's of course. Absolutely not. There's not.
