Welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show.
It's a nutritious smoothie of creamy, fresh yogurt, vanilla, protein powder, and a mushy banana.
For your mind, drink it all down.
It's nummy.
I wub, vanilla.
Here comes Eric Metaxus.
Welcome back, folks.
In this hour, in a few minutes, I'm talking to our friend Abby Robertson.
but right now I continue my conversation with Papa Tom Clark.
So we were just talking about George Washington and God's Hand on America.
I will be interviewing some of the folks affiliate with the film you were just referencing.
It was based on a book by Michael Medved.
I interviewed him for Socrates in the city in about a year and a half, two years ago, in Seattle.
And he wrote a book called The American Miracle.
And it is a great book, a great book.
So if you want to see my interview with him, go to Socrates in the city on YouTube,
it's absolutely fascinating conversation.
But that gets to the heart of what we're talking about,
that God's hand has been on this country.
And I always say it's for God's purposes.
This is not about, you know, conquering.
This is not about an empire.
This is for God's purposes in history.
We want to be real clear.
So it is about spreading liberty and love and freedom.
It's not about, you know, conquering.
We just have to be very clear about that because some people get the wrong idea.
Yes, that's true.
I mean, why was God want America to be free?
Because it's leading the world to having people around the world to be free.
They always look to America.
That's why everybody wants to come here.
Why would that be so?
Why would it be so?
Because if you look at the history of the world, the greatest time of peace was the Pax Romana.
What happened to the Pax Romana?
the first coming.
I haven't thought of that.
That's pretty interesting.
Then when you find what's how it's going to happen in the second coming?
They need peace.
You need peace in order to establish an environment which the Lord's going to come.
There'll be a time, I believe, when the restraints,
in those when the church will be taken from the earth.
And when the church is taken from the earth,
all hell is going to break loose.
but while the church is on the earth, we are responsible.
Just like back in the old days when the Caesars sent out the apostles,
you know, that's a very technical term apostle.
It means the governing rulers in Rome used to send out these engineers and architects
and they would go to the conquered lands
and they would establish what would make those cities in those conquered lands look like Rome
before Caesar returned.
We've got to make the earth look like.
the kingdom of God before the king of kings returns.
And that's the idea.
I think that America is God's idea, and it is for his purposes in history, and it's
so that everyone can be free.
We've never had this in the history of the world, and I do believe it's the Lord's will
that this would spread.
Just as God sends his Messiah to, or he prepares a nation, Israel, so that his Messiah can
come out of the nation.
Why?
so the whole world through Messiah can worship the God of the Jews.
The God of the Jews is not just for the Jews.
It's for the whole world.
So God prepares Israel so that the whole world eventually can, through the Messiah,
worship the God of the Jews.
Similarly, I believe in a different way, he's created America to spread the gospel around the world
and to spread the ideas of the gospel around the world because these beautiful ideas of self-government
and liberty are for the whole world.
They come out of the scripture.
God prepares a nation to be like a shining city on a hill so that the whole world says,
what you have, we would like that.
We would like self, we would like to govern ourselves.
We would like to have representative government where somebody's not in a tyrannous way
lauding it over us, telling us how to live, but that we would get to choose how we live.
People around the world long for that, but they don't know how to do it.
And God has created this country as a model, but we have to get back.
to actually living that ourselves before the rest of the world will want it in the way that they used to.
Exactly. And the pattern somehow has a deal with the return to the fathers. Because in God's
cosmology of things, the fathers are very, very important. They're like a phenomenon that God uses.
He uses them in the family, but he also uses them the seven mountains of influence. He's got to bring the fathers back.
That's where the evil, successfully actually take the fathers out of all the seven mountains of freedom.
That's why the feminist movement tried to emasculate men so that young boys would not become mature men and men would not become fathers.
What happens when that process happens on the good side?
When boys become men, men becomes fathers, fathers' hearts in men are people who want to protect, provide, and mentor the next generation in life.
That has to happen.
And America has to happen around the world.
Okay.
And so that's, that brings us back to Donald Trump, that Donald Trump really is that.
that kind of a father. He has an appeal to young men. They look at him and they say he's strong.
He's funny. He's a good father to his kids. There's something really appealing. And it is as
countercultural as it gets because we have been living for the last 50 years with feminism,
with the denigration of fathers, the denigration of fatherhood. You only need to think of Homer Simpson.
Wherever you look, fathers and men have been denigrated. And of course, what happens when you
denigrate men, women get hurt, children get hurt because a good father is supposed to protect
and love and serve. And so Donald Trump, in way, has been raised up by God to be a picture of
fatherhood, of the good father whose kids love him. Every single mom I've ever talked to who had
children would always come to me and says, I wish I had a father for my children. Every mother would
know that without the father there, she cannot raise those.
children properly. It's nature. It's just the way it is. It's not making it up. It's not trying to
put something on people like a patriarchy or something like that. God designed it to be that way.
Let me skip back to a second about Anson County, North Carolina. You mentioned Donald Trump
being a father. That's why the black vote, the black male vote, and the black male vote
under age 30 went over the top in the last election for Donald Trump because they saw him as a father.
That's why since 1870, they went 155 years.
They voted Republic for the first time since 1870.
You see, it's like when you change the culture, you're also going to change the voting patterns.
Evil understands that, but God's bringing it back the other way.
This whole wokeism thing was trying to continue to destroy it in the wrong way.
God's brought back.
When Obama said, he elected, he says, we're going to do change.
But he never told us what change was?
we're going to have change, but the change is going to be God's way this time, not the other way.
By the way, the three fathers, George Washington, Abraham, Lincoln, right, and Donald Trump,
they're correlated to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
God changed Abram's name, Abraham to Abraham, right, by covenanting with him and making him a father of many nations.
And he specifically said to him, your progeny, your legacy will be as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore.
Now think about that for a second.
Why the difference?
Because the stars in the sky are celestial, spiritual children.
The sand and the sea is natural.
So he'll both have natural and spiritual children.
He's the father of many nations.
God changed his name.
And he changed his name from Abraham to Abraham, God added the sound of heart.
sound of Yahweh onto Abram's name to consummate that covenant that he said in Genesis.
Isaac similarly and the third one was Jacob, right? He changed names of Jacob from
Are you saying that Jacob is it, that Trump is a type of Jacob specifically, that the correlation?
Listen to our last show. I told you that was the first dream that God gave me.
He changed it from Jake. Donald Trump is as Jacob and he would wrestle his angel.
Remember the last show we talked about, July 13th.
of 2024 with one thing, right?
That was a change that God made in Donald Trump's life,
that he seemed life from a completely different perspective,
God's hand on his life.
He was thinking he was doing before.
He was a much more of arrogant and proud man before July 13th.
Yes.
He thought all the stuff he was doing it.
He's doing on his own.
Yeah.
Answer.
God's doing it for her.
Yeah.
Yeah.
God created you to do this.
and make no mistake. God invented you, Donald Trump. God created you and God wants to use you,
but he won't force you. You have to submit to him because he loves you and he knows best. God the
father knows best. We're out of time. Just a joy, Papa Tom Clark, thanks for coming on. Folks,
it's the Father's Heart podcast. Check it out. Tom, thank you.

Hey, the folks, welcome back.
You know, because I've,
been away. We didn't get to do Miracle Monday on Miracle Monday, or we didn't get to do
today's program on Monday. That's very, I'm already confused. I've confused myself in the first
sentence of the program. But I guess that's all the long way of saying. My guest is Abby
Robertson, who co-hosts a podcast on CBN called Heaven Meets Earth with our friend Ryan Bithay.
and we're going to talk about the miraculous. Abby, welcome.
Welcome.
Thank you so much for having me.
This is so funny because I'm used to interviewing you.
So this is the first time it's been turned around.
I was just going to say you interviewed me in London a few months ago.
We were at the Ark Conference together and you interviewed me.
And in the interest of full disclosure, I may have already said it in the previous segment.
But I know you.
I know your father.
I knew your grandfather.
You're part of the great Robertson clan,
and it's just great to see you doing what you're doing to some extent
following the footsteps of your great, your forebears, your family.
And this podcast, I want to be clear, it is on CBN.
That's correct.
Yes.
Heaven meets earth.
And we're really, it's focused on miracles and telling stories of divine encounters.
And I just, it's been a long time product of prayer
and really feel like it's kind of taking the mantle of what my grandfather started with the 700 Club
and sharing stories of miracles and divine encounters on cable TV.
He was really kind of breaking into new ground when that started.
And, you know, we're not the first podcasts on miracles.
I know that.
But I do really feel like this show, we're kind of bringing it to a new audience,
bringing stories of just the ways that God is moving each and every day in all.
sorts of situations if we're really looking for him and asking for help.
I've always a big part of my life is this idea that we live in a world.
And this is, you know, when I had my dramatic born-again experience around my 25th birthday,
I suddenly realized I now live in a world where most people don't know what's real.
In other words, we live in a world that pretends that there's no God that pretends that
miracles don't happen today. And everybody knows the miracles don't happen today, except we know they
actually do. But we live in a world where you'd never know it, turn on the TV. It's a completely
secular world. So I always felt, I've always felt a particular burden to get this stuff out there.
And I'm always thrilled when there are folks like you and Ryan doing exactly the same thing saying,
this is normal, folks. This is real. And we want to, we want to inspire you. So how did this start?
How do you even know Ryan? Because I know Ryan. And I,
knowing him pretty well, I try to avoid him. So what is it that brought together with
Bryant? So we were, it was a couple years ago, I happened upon Ryan, he was doing an
interview on another podcast talking about the Exorcist Files. And I'd never listened to the
Exorcist Files because it felt a little dark. And honestly, I think a lot of people have this
concern that if they listen to it, they're going to open themselves up to some kind of demonic
experience just by listening to the podcast. I will just say side note that is not the case. The
Holy Spirit shows up in almost every one of those episodes and demonic encounters that they
portray on that show. But I was listening to him talk about the start of the Exorcist files and how
his original plan was to do a podcast on miracles. And in that process, God opened up a very
different door and let him down to do the show on dramatic reenactments of Exorcists.
Well, about two or three weeks later, I was going to a conference in Arizona, and I saw that Ryan was leading one of the sessions on, you know, how to start a podcast.
And so I meet him at this conference and I tell him, I'm like, look, you know, Exorcist Files.
I started listening to it at that point.
It was like, it's a great show, but you really should still do a podcast on miracles.
It would be amazing.
CBN has been sharing stories of miracles, doctor verified, divine.
encounter supernatural healings for about 60 years. And we would be happy to partner with you and really
make an awesome show, just showing people what's happening in the world and how God is showing up
in these incredible situations. So a week later, Ryan and I were on the phone. And that's when
we started praying over doing a podcast on miracles. And about a year and a half later is when we
finally started recording Heaven Meads Earth. And it's been just amazing. We are bringing on guests
who are from a very diverse backgrounds.
I mean, I'm not even just talking,
like we're bringing on all kinds of denominations.
We have Catholics, we have Charismatics,
Pentecostals, Protestants,
just a whole range of people just within the body of Christ.
But they also are from very different jobs.
I mean, we had a police officer,
former police officer,
who partnered with the Holy Spirit
and was inexplicably solving crimes.
And that just led to him climbing up and up law enforcement.
and eventually, you know, doing work for the CIA, going overseas,
and the whole time asking God for divine insight that was leading him to find terrorists
and just doing truly insane things.
We have stories of one of just a mother who had an experience where she was reading her Bible one day
while her son was napping.
Her son was eight weeks old.
And she felt the Holy Spirit say, go check on Leo,
and do not believe what you see when you,
when you get into his room.
And sure enough, she found her eight-week-old baby not breathing in his crib.
And she just starts screaming and shrieking.
Obviously, any reaction you would have when you find essentially a dead baby.
And her husband is actually one of the singers of for King and Country.
And he comes in, he's calling 911.
And 911, the operators are basically telling him that there's really not much they can do when they get there
and that they need to just be preparing for,
to just basically pick up the child who they believed was already dead.
And Courtney just starts praying, crying out to the Lord,
and remembering what God had just told her,
do not believe what you see when you get in that room.
And sure enough, her child starts breathing again.
He's now an eight-year-old boy.
And this boy remembers going to heaven.
And when he was old enough to tell him,
Wait a minute.
It gets better.
We didn't just save a kid for that.
I mean, first miracle, God speaks to this woman.
That's the first miracle.
She hears from God.
She runs in.
Sure enough, God spoke to her because her kid's not breathing.
He says, don't believe it.
In other words, pray.
She prays.
He comes back to life.
And then you're telling me now he's eight years old and he has a memory.
Yes.
Of going to heaven.
Yes.
And she says that he will, he tells everyone.
one that he came back to life, that he went to see Jesus, that he met Jesus.
And he also met his grandfather Pop Pop.
He obviously had never met before, was already dead before, had already died before he ever was born.
And he said, you know, Pop Pop said, I couldn't stay with him, but we'll meet again when Jesus comes back.
Unbelievable.
Wow.
Wow.
Now, there's something tantalizing in that.
I don't know if you're sensing what I'm sensing, but we'll meet again.
when Jesus comes back, implies that Jesus will return before this eight-year-old dies a natural death.
Mm-hmm.
Yes.
Right?
Yes.
It would lead us to believe that Jesus is coming back, you know, not in 5,000 years, but sooner.
That's so, oh, my gosh, my gosh.
How long has a podcast been going on?
Did it just start?
It's so we launched April 21st, and it's been incredible.
it truly has felt like the wind of the Holy Spirit is at our backs.
We've consistently been in the top 25 of Apple podcast,
Religion and Spirituality List.
And it's just,
it's been amazing.
The testimonies we're hearing,
you know,
Ryan and I are both in our 30s.
So we were sort of expecting that would be kind of the age group of our audience.
But our audience is really just spanning just a very broad spectrum
because the CBN 700 Club audience,
you know,
a lot older. And so it's that audience, our friends. And then we're getting emails from 14-year-old
people, 14-year-olds who are listening saying, I learned to hear from the Holy Spirit. I had a call
from my eight-year-old niece who heard one of our episodes with Riley Kehoe. She's a woman,
remarkable woman. She survived the tsunami in Thailand. I believe it was the most catastrophic
natural disaster ever. It killed about 130,000 people around that range. And she was 10 years old.
And this series of miracles occurred where her family travels to Thailand. They check into their hotel.
And right out the gate, they find out that the hotel was overbooked. They couldn't have their beach
bungalow. They were instead moved to a different room that was higher up in the mountains. And on the
podcast, she just describes these series of miracles that happened that day where her entire family
survived this tsunami and she was three feet from it as a 10 year old girl watching hundreds of
people just wiped away by this massive wave. And then she was a, her family was a very strong
believer. So after that traumatic incident, you know, her parents really helped her with through faith
come to conquer her fear and not be afraid. And her whole ministry now is, is just having courage.
But since the Lord rescued her or saved her from that moment, the Lord has, she hears the voice
of God. She said that she can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit as clear as the sound of her talking to
Ryan and I at that table. And she has since followed the voice of the Holy Spirit.
to save two other people's lives in completely unrelated incidents.
Okay, I want to hear about this.
We're going to go to a break.
We'll be right back, folks talking to Abby Robertson.
The podcast on CBN is called Heaven Meets Earth.
Welcome back, folks.
We're talking about miracles with Abby Robertson,
who's the daughter of my friend Tim Robertson,
who's the son of Pat Robertson,
and who's the father of Gordon Robertson, who's your uncle.
Now, Gordon Robertson, your uncle, who I've known for many years, is he has always talked about the miraculous.
And CBN has always talked about the miraculous.
But to get back to what I was saying in the beginning, you don't see much of the miraculous on TV.
And it drives me nuts because we know that it's real.
And we know that everybody is interested in knowing if this is real, what can I know?
How can I?
And so I just want to applaud you.
and my friend Ryan Bethay for doing this for the podcast, Heaven Meets Earth.
You were just talking about this young woman who survived the tsunami, which is, I don't know
how many, it's almost 20 years ago.
I can't remember when it happened.
I believe it was 2011.
Okay.
So, wow.
And you said that as a result of this, somehow she is able to hear the voice of God.
And it has helped her to save two people's lives.
Do you say that when we were going to the break?
Correct.
In unrelated incidents, one was a man drowning, which was that, that's a whole thing in itself,
given that she had a fear of water that she had to conquer that then led her to save a man.
And then another was a man who was about to commit suicide on a bridge.
And her stepping out to save him risked her own life.
So it's just truly remarkable these encounters.
So my eight-year-old niece listens to this podcast episode.
and then calls me and she was about to go to summer camp for the first time and tells me that
she learned to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and she was not going to go to camp.
She was scared and was ready to conquer her fear.
So it's been incredible.
And that's our goal with the podcast is to really demystify hearing the voice of God.
And we're bringing on these guests who have a wide range of stories.
And our hope and prayer is that you hear this.
You hear the ways that these people.
have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit to interpret the ways God is speaking to them.
And no matter, you know, some of these, a lot of the stories, they might seem crazy.
They might seem like things that will never happen to you in your own life.
But we hope that you can at least take the lessons and the little ways that they're,
they're teaching each one of us to learn to decipher the voice of God and apply that to your
own life.
There are some incredible books, one ruined for the ordinary, that I love reading.
and Catherine Marshall, the helper of just learning how to make every day extraordinary when we invite God in and we say, Lord, what do you have for me today?
Even if that is just going to work seemingly mundane, when you are looking for the ways God's trying to get your attention, when you are looking and asking God, is there anyone I'm going to see today that I'm supposed to be praying for, that I'm supposed to be helping, just do that and see what happens.
And I guarantee you will see big and little miracles in your life.
I love this, Abby, and it's just, it's music to my ears because this is something, again,
I've, since I found the Lord or the Lord found me, I have met so many people that have had
absolutely miraculous experiences that have heard from God.
And of course, it can be frustrating because you say, well, I want that.
I'm not getting that.
I'm not hearing from the Lord in the way that they are.
But the point is that God speaks to each of us differently.
Some people are going to have a particular gift, an outrageous gift, some people not so much.
But the more you hear about this, the more you expect it.
And I find that that's what's important because I think there's some people that don't even believe this is possible.
And people need to know that it is possible, that God wants us to walk with him.
He wants us to hear from him one way or the other.
I want to talk to you at some of the other stories.
But one thing I think always has to be said, when you hear about some tragedy, like this horrible tsunami,
I mean, thousands of people die.
And then you hear this miracle.
The same thing happened to me.
I wrote a book called Miracles, and there's a story of my friend Lolita Jackson,
who was miraculously saved in the World Trade Center.
Totally miraculous.
But then the question, of course, most people would say was, wait a minute,
what about all the other people?
And I think we have to be honest and say, we don't know.
These things are in God's hands.
And we really don't know.
You know, why does one person hear from God and other people don't?
I assume that we have to trust God with God's timing that some people, you know, are, the Lord takes
them. It's their time. But we don't know. And I think we just have to be honest about that.
Yeah, I completely agree. And I was a reporter for 10 years before I moved over to doing this
podcast. And my prayer for each, I covered a lot of those breaking news events that were awful.
And honestly, as a reporter, to be interviewing the people on the front lines, the ones who lost their
loved ones. It was really, really hard. And I would pray, Lord, give me a way to bring hope to the headlines.
And we were searching for those miracle stories. But it was hard because you hear them and they're so
inspiring. But you can't ignore that, yes, the Lord spared Riley Kehoe and her entire family when
almost no families who traveled to Thailand together left with their entire families intact
after that event. So how does that happen? Why did he pick their families?
we will never know.
And why did thousands of other people die?
And she was spared.
We don't know.
But we do know that God redeemed that tragedy for her.
That he's redeemed that trauma.
And he's given her just this beautiful, powerful testimony to encourage others to
follow his voice and cling to him.
But yeah, as you said, it will be a great mystery that I don't think we will ever know
until we're able to ask God ourselves.
Yeah, I think when we get to when we get to heaven.
And then at some point, I imagine when we get to heaven, it won't matter.
Somehow we'll understand the bigger picture and we won't be ringing our hands for answers in the way that
we are now.
But just to be honest about it, because I think I can imagine somebody who doesn't believe in God
hearing this and going like, this is ridiculous.
You believe in this God, save this one person, but like 130,000 people die.
Why do I, you know, that's a real question I think that people have.
And I think we just have to be honest about it.
We're going to another break talking to Abby Robertson, the podcast.
on CBN is called Heaven Meets Earth.
We'll be right back.
Welcome back, folks talking to Abby Robertson.
Abby co-hosts with my friend Ryan Bethay,
a podcast on CBN called Heaven Meets Earth,
which talks about miracles and the miraculous.
So, Abby, you grew up in a family.
Obviously, your grandfather,
the late great Pat Robertson,
that has walked in this stuff for decades and decades
that knows this is real and that has really been putting it out there beautifully.
And again, that's something I've tried to do.
Any opportunity I have, I wrote a whole book about miracles because I thought,
I want people to know, look, this is real.
But growing up in your family, what was that like?
I mean, because as a very young girl, you're hanging around with people who know this
stuff is real.
Was there at any point that you doubted it or is this something that's just been a part of your
life?
I don't think I've ever doubted it because I grew up hearing stories from my mom where I was 11 months old.
I was born.
I had a horrible kidney infection.
And she would tell me this story of she was nursing me one night and she was actually watching the rerun of the 700 Club where there's always a prayer section where we called the Word of Knowledge section where my grandfather and his co-host, often Teramusen, will pray.
and they just ask the Lord to reveal anyone they're supposed to be praying over,
and it's unexplainable, only God,
but they will get very specific words of knowledge for,
they will say different medical conditions,
they will say maybe it's reconciliation between a marriage,
all sorts of things,
and they will give specific names, never last names,
but ways where people who they're talking about know it's them,
and it has been,
there's been insane,
testimony said the 700 club has then later shared from what happens during this prayer time.
So my mom's watching the 700 club.
And I have a, I think she said, 104 degree fever at the time.
She was taking me to the doctor the next day.
And they were going to start talking about surgical options for whatever this kidney thing I was struggling with was.
And my grandfather starts praying.
And he names the exact condition.
And at the time, she didn't even think he was talking about me.
And she just was like, oh, praise the Lord, somebody with that is being killed now.
It's funny.
So your mom is watching her father-in-law on TV praying and it happens to be for his,
for his grandchild.
But initially that was not clear.
Right.
Yeah.
And he wasn't even aware.
And sure enough, the next day my fever was gone.
The doctor looks at me and they do a series of tests, but I was healed.
And whatever it was, was gone.
And she then also would tell me this story about a few months later.
was the youngest of five kids. My mom had her hands full. And one day, my mom was practicing the piano
with my sister. And she looks out the window and she sees that I'm maybe 18 months old. And I was
walking out the house and was walking in the street. So she runs after me. And I am walking up a hill
as she sees a car coming that she knows can't see me because I'm yay high. And she just has her eyes on me
and is ready to watch her baby be hit by this car.
And she says a hand came out and swooped me off the street.
And she finds me in the grass unscathed.
And she literally can't find any human being around.
There's no explanation.
And I, as you know, my mom recently passed.
So she would tell me this story of the time that she believes an angel rescued me
as a very young child.
and I've been going through my mom's journals,
and I actually found her writing in her journal,
praise the Lord for God's protective guardian angels over Abby,
writing the notes of that incident that she always told me
that just really, you know, planted this flag of faith in my life
where I never, I didn't need to, you know, see video footage of what happened.
My mom would just tell me these things and I would know, okay, miracles are real.
I had my first prophetic dream when I was four years old.
And it was so vivid.
And it was just something that then ended up happening the next day.
Can you share what that is or is it too private?
So I know, no, it's not.
I was, I had a dream that there were raccoons in our playroom in our house.
And the next day, my dad, he was trying to get me to go get something out of the
playroom.
And I said, no, I'm not going to go there.
There's raccoons.
And my dad started to get annoyed.
He's like, there's no raccoons in there.
And then I was being disobedient because I,
wouldn't go. I was adamant. I wasn't going in the playroom. And he was like, I will walk you there and I will
show you. And so sure enough, I walked with my dad to the playroom. He opened the door and he, we see
four raccoons running around. And he just looks at me and was like, how did you know that? Did you come up here
earlier? And I was like, no, I had a dream that there were raccoons in the playroom. And I didn't, as a four
year old, didn't realize the significance, but I just knew that I knew there were raccoons there. And,
and, you know, I was no, it's not that I was some anointed, amazing child.
I, you know, had my years of, you know, I went to college, kind of was a crazy one,
but I just always, the Lord kept speaking to me.
And he definitely, you know, I might not have always been making the right decision,
but I kept having these dreams.
I kept having these experiences where I never doubted if God was real, even if I wasn't
always, you know, walking on the straight and arrow or doing what I was, knew I should be doing.
But God kept speaking to me and there was nowhere that I was running that he wasn't going to
protect me. And I had a radical encounter in my early 20s where I really started to hear and
discern the voice of the Holy Spirit, all these other incidents in my life just seemed like coincidences.
But it was really when I learned how to hear from God in my early 20s.
And I realized it wasn't an accident. These weren't just random. And, um, and that,
completely changed my life. And I want to say to people listening, folks, this is for everybody.
So wherever you are, I don't know where people listen to this program on a podcast or on the radio.
But if you want this, I would say, just pray. Lord, speak to me. Lord, show me how I can hear your voice.
It's something that I, honestly, Eric Metaxus, I long for much more of it.
I've had some of it, but I long for more of it.
And I think it's the Lord's will that we long for it and we ask him for it and ask him to speak to you just today and say,
lead me and guide me in a conversation to or speak to me as you want to speak to me.
Because sometimes the Lord wants to speak to us through circumstances as well.
But there's so many different ways.
And I think that whoever you are out there listening to this program, just ask God, say,
Lord, if you're real, if you want this for me, show me, guide me.
I want to hear your voice.
I want to be led by you.
Speak to me somehow.
I think that the Lord wants us to do that.
And I rarely say that on this program.
But I want to exhort folks who are listening to do that.
We're going to go to a break here.
We'll be right back.
Welcome back talking to Abby Johnson.
The new podcast on CBN is Heaven meets Earth with my friend Ryan Biffay as co-host.
You know, Abby, I've only got a Rima word of knowledge once in my life where, because a
ream a word of knowledge for folks who don't know.
It's just where God will speak to you about something that you couldn't possibly know yourself.
And I was going to the dentist probably 10 years ago to get a checkup.
And I thought that the woman who was going to do the cleaning and the cleaning or whatever, the dental assistant, I just got the thought, clear thought that she is from where I grew up in Queens, New York.
Like just this clear thought in my brain.
So at some point I said, so where are you from?
She's like New York.
Where?
Queens, where?
she was from a block away from where I grew up in Queens and Jackson Heights.
And I thought, that's just mind-blowing.
The Lord speaks this to me.
How did I know this?
And then I said to her, I said, listen, you're not going to believe this.
But when I walked in here, God told me this.
So we got in a conversation.
And the next time I came in, I brought a copy of my Miracles book and gave it to her.
And I just believe that God wants to speak miraculously to us.
And I think it's what you said earlier.
It's an adventure.
It's fun.
It's beautiful because you want God to use you in these ways.
And when he does, there's just nothing better.
So I just thought I should share that because I don't think I've ever shared that before.
I love that.
And for listeners thinking, you know, how do I learn how to hear the voice of God?
I would recommend our episode with Carlos Whitaker.
He really talks about just the baby steps when you're starting out, how to start discerning
when God is giving you those words.
words of knowledge. And it's really exciting. I have a kind of cool story. Some of you might know
Kaylee McInney. The first time I met Kaylee, I think it might have been 2015, 2016. She was at CBN doing
an interview, not with me. I'd never met her before, sitting in our green room. I walked by the
green room and I felt the Holy Spirit say, go in there and be her friend. So I went in there,
I introduced myself. I invited her to get lunch with me and we end up forming this friendship.
And I had no idea, you know, that one day would be a household name.
So that kind of was the beginning of God bringing me alongside of her to really be praying for her as the Lord just kept kind of moving her up to different roles.
So when she was in the White House as the press secretary, you know, I would send her prayers mornings that I felt like the Lord was giving me specific things to send her.
And there was one day my grandmother actually passed away and she had sent me a text message saying how sorry she was.
And I went to just text back, thank you.
And every time I went to do that, the Holy Spirit would say she's pregnant.
tell her you're praying for your baby.
And I was like, whoa, I don't know what, what's going on in life.
That's very personal.
And so I didn't respond.
I put my phone away.
And three hours later, I was driving the Bible study.
And I felt this nudge from the Holy Spirit, text Kaylee and tell her that you are praying for her.
So I didn't know how to handle it.
And I just sent her a voice message and was like, I don't know if you're trying to expand your family, what's happening.
But I just feel this sense from the Holy Spirit that you might be pregnant.
Maybe you're going to get pregnant soon.
and I'm just praying for your child and for what it's worth.
I really feel like it's going to be a boy.
And sure enough, she responded that she had just found out she was about maybe six
and a half, seven weeks along.
And that day she started buying boy clothes and now she has her beautiful son Nash.
So you never know, but it's just when you feel those nudges and it was one of those things
where I just knew I was hearing from God.
And it was a beautiful story that ensued.
I mean, I love these stories.
And there are a million of them, folks.
And so if you want to hear more of them, obviously, we try to do it every Monday on Miracle Mondays.
But the podcast, Heaven Meets Earth.
It's on CBN.
Obviously, Abby is doing it with Ryan Bethay, who's her co-host.
I think people can't get enough of this stuff.
It's inspiring.
If you need to be inspired, check out Heaven Meets Earth.
And Abby Robertson, thanks for coming on and talking about it.
Thanks for having me.
