Welcome to the Eric Mataxis show. Did you like your gravy thick and rich and loaded with creamy mushrooms?
If no one was looking, would you chug the whole gravy boat?
Chug, Chug, Chug, Chug, Chug. Stay tuned. Here comes Mr. Chug-a-Lug himself, Eric Ma, Texas.
There are very few times that I'm like crazy, happy, praise Jesus, praise Jesus, praise Jesus, praise Jesus. This is one of those times. I have the great joy of having, as my guest, our friend, Bevelin Beatty Williams, who was pardoned by President Trump, praise the Lord.
Bevelin, I don't know what to say.
I am so happy.
I've looked forward to this day for a long, long time to have you on this program to say you're out.
You've been pardoned.
And I get to talk to you.
God bless you.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
It's amazing.
My audience doesn't know.
I haven't like, you know, tip them off too much here in hour one.
Tell me, tell my audience your story.
because some people know your story, but a lot of people tuning in right now, they don't know your story.
So you just got out of prison?
Yeah.
How long was your sentence supposed to be for?
Three and a half years, 41 months in federal prison.
And I did three months in a couple of days, thank God.
I was indicted back in 2022 for my Jesus Matters rally where I was preaching in front of an abortion clinic.
He's preaching in front of an abortion clinic.
Yes.
Pro-life.
You're a Christian.
And you, as a black woman, dared to say, Jesus matters.
Yeah.
Is that the rally?
That's pretty much it.
I mean.
But you're also the woman who painted over the Black Lives Matter whatever.
That was in New York City.
I mean, when we were together in New York City.
Right.
You're a radical activist.
You love God.
You're public about it in a way that way more people should be.
But this whole story that we're talking about now is because you were protesting.
It was a Jesus Matters.
What do you call it?
Just a Jesus Matters rally.
It was really an opportunity for Christians from all backgrounds to come together in time to stand together against abortion.
I mean, you have to understand it was so many facets to that situation.
situation. Governor Cuomo had legalized abortion up to birth around this time. And on top of that, COVID hit. And so a lot of people were not able to run their businesses, were not able to go to work, but you can kill babies. And you could kill them at full term. You could kill them at birth. So it was a really challenging season. Like 2020 was a summer of just ideologies and culture clash. And it really was, I feel like, a revolutionary time for our nation because so much.
was going on. Like so many constitutional freedoms were being challenged at that time. And so I decided,
you know, with all of this going on, I feel like the Christians need to come together and we
at least need to give the children a voice. And so that was the whole point of the rally.
And did the rally take place? This took place in June of 2020.
It's that long ago. I did not realize that this was that long ago. Correct. So,
which is interesting because at the rally,
there were police present.
I never got a ticket. I never got arrested.
I never got a citation for those two-day rallies
that they claimed I was violent at.
Those things, I never got arrested for those.
So for them to come in 2022 and indict me
after Roe versus Wade was overturned and to call me violent,
it was a stretch. If I was so violent and so dangerous,
why two years?
You know, I didn't hear you.
hear that part of your story because you came on this program before your sentencing. So this is
some months ago. But the idea, just to get the chronology in these details, that you hold a Jesus
Matters rally in 2020, June of 2020. Yes. Stopps there. Nobody bothers you. Why? Because you're
not doing anything wrong, which we know. Okay. And I know you well enough to know, no, you didn't do
anything wrong. You're an amazing Christian woman. So they come after you two years later. Now,
let me ask you, where was the rally we're talking about? What city? It was in Manhattan, right,
in front of the Margaret Sanger Square, on Beaker Street. Okay. So it was in Manhattan where I live
in front of Margaret Sanger Square. That's like David's Deep Square, Adolf Hitler Square,
Margaret Sanger Square, and there's an abortion clinic there. Correct. Okay.
And so, you know, when we had did the rally, they had, had, they invited counter protesters to our event.
Counter protesters now with faith.
It doesn't matter whether you're for abortion or against abortion.
If you or are by any means obstructing the door, you're supposed to be indicted, I guess, or in a sense if you're blocking the door, physically blocking the door.
the counter-protesters were the ones blocking the door.
There is video of them there with umbrellas blocking the door and they were not indicted.
Me and my best friend Edmay, who was later found not guilty, were indicted.
Those are only two people out of all the people at the rally that got indicted.
And there was this woman who claimed a hand injury that I crushed her hand in the door.
From my back, she said I crushed her hand in the door using my back.
This woman did not go to an urgent career until five days later.
You know, you just hear the facts.
You don't need to say much.
They speak for themselves.
You're a heroic figure.
You get out there and you say things and protest in a way that I wish many, many more Americans
and many, many more Christians in particular would do.
And I just want to kind of go through this with you.
So you believe in the sanctity of the unborn.
They shouldn't be killed.
You are doing a peaceful legal protest because in America we get to do that.
Right.
Now, who sent, who do you, I mean, when you say they're counter-protesters,
when you mention they've got umbrellas, sounds like Antifa.
Right.
So these are not nice people.
These are nasty, nasty, nasty people.
And as we know, the left lets them be nasty, lets them burn stuff.
and trash stuff does not bother them.
Right.
Protects them.
Right.
I'm going to be honest with you.
The protesters in front of Planned Parenthood are rougher than the girls in prison.
I'm just going to be honest with you.
antagonizing just mean.
So what I will say is Planned Parenthood admitted during trial that they had invited those
protesters to come.
They also admitted that they violated their own non-engagement policy.
and then the woman who claimed that I slammed her hand in the door.
Usually, you know this, Eric.
Most of the girls that wear like the pink vests and escort the women in for abortions,
they're usually like your college students, your girls working to get a credit, things like that.
This woman was the marketing vice president for Planned Parenthood and just happened to be the one escorting that day for two days with her camera in my face,
which is shown on trial that she had violated their own non-engagement.
policy. She had raised her fist
to me. She admitted it in
the transcripts. You can see that.
She had a camera in my face.
She had many, many times
antagonized me.
And yet, I never responded.
I ignored her. And it showed
in the trial.
So what I didn't understand was
how could I have been found guilty?
And then on top of that, I was singled out.
My co-defendant, Edmay was found
not guilty, but I was found guilty.
And unfortunately, I was the one that they wanted.
And during sentencing, they made it sound like I was her ringleader that I coerced Edmay into, you know, going to the rally with me.
They also, I was found not guilty on conspiracy.
They still gave me time as if I was found guilty on conspiracy.
The judge retried me basically at sentencing and basically made me pay for my charges, even though I was sound not guilty on one of them.
The picture that's painted, I mean, I've figured this out already, but as I hear you give these details, these are nasty activists. They're vindictive. They hate you because you love God and you serve God. They hate you. And so there's a target on your back that came after you in a way that is not normal. We come back. We're going to get more of these details. We're going to talk about President Trump's pardon. How many woke Christians?
didn't vote for President Trump.
And yet, how pro-life is he being?
Oh, my goodness.
We'll be right back.

Welcome back, folks.
Talking to Bevelin, Beatty Williams, Bevelin, again, just to see your face,
to know that you're out of prison, you've been pardoned.
It's just so wonderful.
I just want to celebrate.
It just makes me so happy because, you know what, in life,
we don't get to see a lot of this kind of justice where something really wrong is done
and then the wrong is righted.
God bless President Trump and the people around him who understand.
what's at issue. Anybody that doesn't understand how much of a force for good he is, ladies and
gentlemen, pro-life activists who are being persecuted and imprisoned under Biden are pardoned under
Donald Trump. What are you missing there? What part of pardon do you not get? I have to ask you,
Bevelin, just to talk about the Biden administration. And whenever you say Biden administration,
you've got to imagine the quotes, because the brain dead Joe Biden was not.
running things. We know that. Evil people around him were running things. For them to come after you
two years after this incident to single you out, to go after you, would you have any sense of who
these people are that would single you out and say we need to make an example of this troublemaker
who is so pro-life? You know, do you have some sense of? Yeah. So what I will say is this. When I was in prison
and Biden was on his way out.
I feel like a lot of things came into perspective for me
a lot more than I had ever really saw in my life.
Okay, so this is how I'll say it.
I know this may sound blanketed and it may sound vague,
but it's so on point.
The powers that be, which are communists,
is exactly what came after me.
Let me, let me break that down.
When Biden got out of office, now you got to imagine,
I'm sitting in prison.
watching this happen. I'm watching this man give
awards of freedom, a badge of freedom
to people like Hillary Clinton and George Soros.
Okay? I'm watching this man pardon his family
before he leaves the White House. And as I'm sitting in prison
and I'm screaming and the prisoners are like, what are you? What's the big deal? Why are you?
What's the big deal? I'm like, oh my God, Biden's coming out.
He's telling you all who he was. He's telling you,
he was a communist from the beginning.
He's sitting here telling everybody he's coming out of the closet.
There's nothing else to hide.
So for me, it was the powers that be that represent anti-Christ, anti-family, anti-American values
that were like, no, we're going to go after every single person whose voice comes against
what we want, and we're going to make them shut up and we're going to make them pay
and we don't care who gets hurt.
And that's just the reality.
Yeah. And listen, I, it's because of what you just said being true that I got radicalized over.
I mean, it started in 2016, but 2020, big time.
When you begin to see what is actually happening, you realize that this is fascism.
This is Nazi.
This is cultural Marxism.
They are monsters.
They do not believe in.
anything having to do with Christian faith.
They will use that as a lie to mask what they're doing.
They don't believe in anything about American democracy.
They're the enemies of American democracy.
When you really get that, you realize you're at war with the devil.
These people, the devil, they're not, it's not like, well, they've got a point of view.
We differ.
No.
It became nakedly evil.
Right.
The way they went after you, and you're just one example, but they went after, how many friends have I had on this show who were treated like
scum by the FBI for doing nothing wrong. And you, when you get that, because, you know,
we've lived for decades with a lot of bad stuff, but it hasn't been out in the open. It hasn't
been naked where everybody can see. Look, look, look, look. So this is, this is what we're talking
about. And so it's not exaggeration to say it's forces of Antichrist. Now look, under Hitler,
you saw the same thing. The Nazis, when they had the power, they said, we're going to go after our
enemies. No one can stop us now because we've got all that we got the media, we got the whatever.
So what are you going to do? They didn't do it until they could because they're not stupid.
But once they could, they did it. That's what happened under Biden. They basically said,
we're going to come after you. We're going to throw you in jail. We're going to send a chilling
effect. Everybody's going to be like, oh, I don't want any trouble. I don't want any trouble.
And so they came after Roger Stone. They came after Brandon Strach. They came after my friend John Strand.
they came after you and many others that I'm not mentioning in a way that if you don't know what to
think, like you're kind of open-minded, you're kind of looking at the scene, you'd say, wait a minute, wait a minute.
This is no black, I mean, this is no, these are not people that are evil people that need the
government to go after them. These are good people. I'm getting the picture that the government is
evil, that the government is using the power that it has to crush dissent. That is what I'm
happens when that's the end of democracy, that's the end of America.
That's right.
We've seen that.
And you are one of the victims of that because they say, we've got to make an example
of this pro-life activist.
We can't have this.
So we're going to go after her.
And if not for Donald Trump getting into office, we would still be there.
And that's an amazing thing, Bevelin, to think that you got worse.
I'm going to be honest to you.
It would have been.
I believe in.
my heart, had Trump and I have one, I feel like I would have been re-indicted.
I feel like they would have pulled something else out of their hat and got a new indictment
on me to make me stay longer.
Did you understand?
I believe that families would have been, more people would have been thrown in jail,
more regular American citizens would have been in prison.
More parents would have been separated from their children.
And that just would have been life.
You know what I mean?
I really feel like it was going to, and I mean, obviously, if Trump didn't win, they were going to kill him.
I know what I'm saying sounds so strong, but I genuinely feel like this is life of death for him, too.
This can't, and a lot of, and to what you said earlier, you said a lot of what Christians didn't vote for him.
Some of you may have used the fact that when it came to life, he decided, you know, exceptions to be at rape, things like that, which I believe those were campaign employees.
because he is showing everything but that.
Right now, he is displaying such a value for life in his office and in what he's pushing.
I feel like he said a lot of things to just to get in, but he's leaving this office with a hammer,
a representation for Christian values, you know?
But again, a lot of people don't understand.
It was life and death for him.
It was life and death for you, Eric.
It was life and death for us.
We're the voices.
And they were going to come after us.
And God forbid Kamala had won.
They would have done everything and empower to bleed us drive financially,
if not put us in cages, jail, prison,
and would have pushed forward with their agenda.
And if he didn't get that power back,
we wouldn't have never got that power back.
Well, listen, this is why, you know,
when I just think of the stupid Christians out there,
I won't name anybody,
but there are pro-life activists that were so foolish
that they were speaking very strongly, like,
oh, I don't know if I'm going to vote
because Trump is not pro-life enough for me.
And I'm thinking, you want to talk about
not pro-life enough for you.
You wait until Kamal Harris gets in there.
And you're going to have babies on bayonets, okay?
We're not talking about, we're not talking.
I mean, but, I mean, the fact that there are Christians
that didn't understand he needs to get elected,
if he doesn't get elected,
you're going to see what anti-life looks like.
You're going to see what pro-abortion.
You haven't even seen anything.
But there are people that they're so myopic,
that they're so focused on that, oh, if he doesn't say this,
ladies and gentlemen, he needed to get elected.
And I just have to say, like, that was an existential crisis.
If he had not been elected, you can't even begin to imagine what they don't get it.
They don't get it.
and what they would do if they got the chance.
It's unbelievable.
So you, I mean, I want to get a little bit of your story, Bevelin.
Remind me, where did you grow up?
Well, I grew up, and I was born in New York, but I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I was there from 3 to 18, and then I moved back to New York, and I've been in New York since.
Now I'm in Tennessee, so yeah.
And you got married when?
I got married in 2021.
So I met my husband, February 5th.
We were married by June 25th.
We were pregnant by August.
That's the way to do it, in my opinion.
Right, right.
Short engagements, have a family.
Obviously, you didn't expect all this would happen.
When did you get, you know, the first inklings?
Because, you know, this rally is June 2020.
When did you get the first inkling that, like,
they're coming after you about this thing from, you know,
two years ago or whatever it was.
Well, I didn't really know.
Okay.
So my daughter just was trying to make an introduction,
but my husband got her.
I didn't really know that they were going to come after me,
but I sent something my husband did too
because they were going after pro-lifers that are my friends,
picking in their doors, arresting them,
my friends from Tennessee, friends from Michigan.
And so I'm like, wait a minute,
these are people that I, you know, stand for life
with, you know, I've been to rallies with them.
So something's up.
But I really didn't expect them to do it.
And this is why I'm going to be honest with you.
I didn't, I didn't think that they wanted to heat because I was black.
And so I figured they were trying to round up the white Christians because they are white supremacist.
That's what Biden says all the time.
And so I felt like, and that's why really, to be honest with you, they indicted me last.
They indicted me in December, the end of 2022, December.
I was the last one on.
roster to go.
Okay, hang on.

Talking to Bevelin, baby Williams. So Bevelin, you're telling us this story. And again,
I just, I want to underscore for my audience, the evilness of evil, the Biden administration,
the level of evil. It's one thing for somebody to say, I'm pro-choice. It's another thing
to go after pro-lifers like Bevelin.
And so many others, like they're the devil, that's what the devil does.
He goes after the good guys.
He says, we've got to make an example of them.
We've got to put them in jail.
We've got to have a chilling effect because we want to win.
We want to crush the opposition.
That's what Hitler did.
That's what the totalitarians do.
They just crush the opposition.
We've never had that in America until Obama and company got more and more power.
Right.
pro-life people, good people started to be targeted.
And again, what happened to you, it's kind of unbelievable.
Like, what did you do?
You led a rally.
Like, this is free speech America.
I get to express myself.
They said, oh, no, no, no, no.
We're going to come after you.
And so what was your sense of that, that they wanted to make an example of you?
What is your sense of that?
Well, honestly, up until the day that I was sentenced, I felt like that this just couldn't be real.
Like, this was really hard for me to register as real.
I couldn't believe that they were serious.
I'll be honest with you on my day of trial.
When I sat at the desk facing trial and I saw all this oat, the old walls, the old paneling, the U.S.
a United States of America seal on the back of the wall.
And I'm just sitting here.
And there's a judge coming in.
There's a clerk.
I started to have an anxiety attack because I couldn't believe, like, this was real.
Like my body started to get hot.
My head started to hurt.
I almost started to freak out because it hit me like, wait, they're going through with this.
Like this, they're really following through with this.
You know, it wasn't enough.
I surrendered my passport, that didn't do it for me.
It wasn't enough that I had to fly back and forth for arraignments
and that I needed permission to go here and there.
It hit me when I sat in that room full of oak.
And I just knew God would deliver me because I did not go to these rallies in the name of Bevelin.
I did not go in representation of myself.
I went because God put it on my heart to do so.
I obeyed God.
And so I had trusted God.
even in prison that he would deliver me.
I never, I never touched an degree with the 41 months.
I never felt like, no, yeah, I'm really going to do three years in here,
and I'm not going to be with my daughter until she's five years old.
I never accepted it.
In the same sense, did I have to accept being in prison at the time?
Did I have to learn to make do with, you know, doors being locked on me,
stainless steel gates, being locked in a cell with people of all types of backgrounds,
and just having a face being treated like a prisoner
when I know I was innocent?
Yeah, I had to.
I had to accept it, but I knew God was coming through.
You're one of those Christians who actually believes all that stuff.
Yeah.
Why we love you because it's beautiful to see.
What was the courtroom, what part of the country was it in?
I don't remember the...
It was in the Southern District of New York City,
the same one that Trump had...
Right after my trial, Trump was a trial.
So it was right in 500 Pearl Street
My judge was Jennifer L. Rochon
who was a Biden appointee
And man, she was something
When I say Mr. Eric and the listeners listening
Y'all, she was mean
And she wasn't, this the thing
She wasn't mean during the trial
She kind of let
She kind of was, but she wasn't
She would not let me let my lawyer argue
The Freedom of Speech
She said no
now people have you have to understand something.
People think that when you go to a trial,
it's just like, oh, you have your evidence,
they have their evidence, you present it,
and let the jury decide.
No, the judge, if a judge is biased,
it can really hurt you because the judge can decide
what's permitted, what's not permitted,
what could be expressed to the jury,
what can't be expressed to the jury.
So the judge can tailor your arguments.
The judge can decide what you can use
as an argument versus what you can't.
So that makes fighting your trial harder for the jury to even understand why they are there,
what's against the law, what's not against the law.
So if the prosecution and the judge are in cahoots together, you can work to sway the jury to think something's against the law when technically it's not.
You know, we have what we call in American law.
We have intent.
Things that we get convicted off of intent.
You understand what I'm saying?
Even if, God forbid, I had hurt that woman's hand in the door,
the question would have been that I intend to go there that day
to get her hand in the door and crush her hand.
My intent was never that.
So I should have been found not guilty off intent alone.
You can't just throw someone in prison for an accident.
It just doesn't work that way.
But if the judge and the prosecution work together,
and they don't express that to the jury,
The jury can then think, oh, well, yeah, it's a law and she's breaking it.
And I mean, these are your regular people that don't want to be here.
They're living in New York City for God's sakes.
Everything's expensive.
One day of miswork is everything for them.
So now they already don't want to be there for a two-week trial,
let alone for something about me preaching and just being loud
and looking like I'm just annoying people at an abortion clinic
that just want to go and get their abortions.
Guilty and let's go home.
That's pretty much what happened to me.
Now, this judge, you know, the idea of corrupt judges, of biased judges, this is again a nightmare in the United States of America.
Oh, God.
It's going to be the proverbial bad apple.
But there's a lot of this going on.
And you wonder, how do these people wake up in the morning?
No, I'm supposed to be a judge.
I'm supposed to be fair because we believe in the law.
And it's actually an activist.
When we come back, we'll talk more about that.
Talking to Beville and Beatty, we'll be right back.
Welcome back, folks.
I'm talking to Bevelin B.D. Williams, who is out?
Thank God.
Yes.
Via Donald Trump.
Thank God for Donald Trump.
Thank God for a president who cares about justice.
Who, I mean, again, we've been living through some really dark times.
And when we're talking about this judge, the idea that somebody like this is a judge is chilling.
Yeah.
I mean, God forbid something.
happens to me, and I have to go in front of a judge like this, I feel like, okay, I want justice.
Doesn't sound like I'm going to get justice. Doesn't sound like you got justice. That's a scary
thing in America that we have judges like this. Right. You want to know the trippy part?
She apprenticed under Donald Trump's older sister, who was a judge. She apprenticed under her.
I think her name was, I don't know what her name was, but Trump. We looked around.
up. And on top of that, she was ahead of the Girl Scouts for some years.
What do you think her bias came from? Do you just think that she's sort of a pro-abortion
feminist who's angry at anybody like you who would have these views? I mean, is that
what you think is coming from? You always try to figure it out. I think the love of money and
power is the root of all evil. She was a newly appointed attorney by Biden administration.
And I guarantee you she got a phone call.
I guarantee you.
You got to understand.
Usually, usually, we wouldn't say stuff like this because people would be like,
no, it's just too up in the air.
But I'm going to prove it to you.
I'm going to use New York's mayor.
When New York's mayor got in,
and the New York mayor was in line and intact to let those immigrants come to America.
You're talking about Mayor Eric Adams.
Eric Adams.
Yes, go ahead.
It was a sanctuary city, and he did what he was supposed to do.
everything was all good.
The moment he got frustrated about the money
and the moment he felt like
it's too much for the city,
the city can't handle it, and he started to make
complaints to Biden. Don't forget
on his way to Biden,
on the plane, his
campaign manager got their
house raided by the FBI, and
then he ended up was later indicted.
So while he's on a meeting,
he's scheduled to meet with Biden,
they got the FBI on their way,
hitting him. Because,
what he was getting too out of line he was getting too out of order if and this is why i say the
democrat party is so racist in a sense because if i was one of those people who were half naked
rapping and singing twirling my butt or dribbling a basketball i would be honored and held for their
cause but because i am speaking against their agenda their narrative okay uh that alone makes me
an enemy. They like house
Negroes. They like anybody
who's in partner or cahoots with them to
be intact, fitting what they
want them to do, period.
If you step out of line,
they're going to show you who's boss.
So I absolutely believe
all my heart. She got a phone call.
No question. So this is interesting.
You still got to wonder why
the Biden administration
would be this vicious
against pro-lifers. It's just interesting
because you know they're bad people,
But it's so interesting that they would be making a point of to try to reach this.
You need to perform.
We've got you in there for a reason.
This is the reason you better do it.
Right.
And she's like, oh, okay.
I mean, I guess I got to go along with it.
Whatever her excuse is, she's guilty.
But the point is, you got to wonder about who in the Biden administration is this viciously pro-abortion?
Right.
Unfortunately, I will say this.
I don't know.
I know that money plays
the humongous part in it.
You have to understand, plan parenthood alone
was clearing 40 billion
after expenses
a year.
Planned parenthood was clearing
$40 billion, whether the funding
was from government or individuals.
After expenses, Eric,
that's after they don't pay their CEOs.
They're everybody. They're still sitting
on $40 billion a year.
This is a Goliath.
okay so that's just that alone but you have to understand that Biden had and I saw this
long before I went in Biden had donors like special donors who had talked to him about life
and he had designated a task force against people against abortion why because it's the same
thing let's talk about how corrupt this thing is how is it that you could win primary
and then because you're deemed incompetent for the next
election, you can just be removed
and someone else put in.
I've never seen that before my life.
Last time I checked,
any time you have two primary candidates up,
one steps down, it's a forfeit.
You automatically
that individual who's up is the president.
You don't get to just put in
someone else to run the campaign, unless
you got over $150 million
that are not answered for, and you ain't trying to
get that money that.
And so you break the rules to keep the money.
I want to tell, because
we don't have a lot of time left. I want to focus on you. And you're, you said you now have a civil
suit you're dealing with. Right. So right now, I'm actually, during my indictment, I had got sued
by Caraphim. And they've been suing me for a rally that I had did, I went to in November,
in Nashville back in 2022. And so we've been fighting this lawsuit for a minute now. So yeah.
Okay. And so you need legal expenses.
is covered. So I want people to know you have a give, send, go page. Ladies and gentlemen,
you want to do something good today? Listen carefully. Give send go.com. Bevelin B-D-Williams,
Williams. Yes. You spell it. It's not easy, but Bevelin, Beatty, B-E-A-T-T-Y, Bevalon-B-D-D-Wyms,
give-Sendgo.com. It's important that people would step up to help you. You. You
have been a warrior for Jesus, a warrior for life. And the fact that you, my sweet sister in Christ,
had to go to prison for nothing, that's the kind of world we're living in at this point,
folks. And we're just a war. I want to be real clear. We're in a war. Right. I'll be right now.
You've got to spend time and money. And so this is important. And so we can't
let our foot off the gas pedal here. We have to support those that are in the fight. We've got to
fight ourselves. We've got to do what we can do. So I want to be real clear that the website is givsendgo.com.
Givesendgo.com slash bevelin Bevlin Beattie Williams. Bevelin Beady or Beatty Williams.
Give send go.com. This is real. And so I want people to beavelin Biddy Williams. I want people
be aware of you, Bevelin, and your story, and anybody who can help, something you can do today, folks.
GivesendGo.com, Bevelin, Beatty Williams, B-E-A-T-T-Y. We'll be right back.
I'm a lot like you.
Look at my life.
I'm a lot like you.
Welcome back talking to Bevelin Bady Williams.
And I've got to say, you were in prison.
We haven't talked about that.
That was one of my first questions that we got past it.
I'm sorry you had to go there.
Now, you're a tough girl in the sense that, you know, you know, I mean, you're a very real person.
You're an activist.
You love God.
What was this like for you?
You know, the thing is, I'm tough, right?
But in prison, there's a thousand more girls tougher than me.
First of all, there's men in prison, women in prison that look just like you, Eric, okay?
Shake like you, haircut, everything, look.
just like you and ready for war with a bunch of tattoos down their neck.
So, I mean, prison, prison was prison.
The reason why I survived the way I did in prison is number one,
what you are on the streets is what you're going to be in prison
and you're going to experience it, the fullness of it.
So let me give you an example.
Prison is a world within a world, okay?
If you're dealing with homosexuality on the street,
streets here and there. If you dabble, you're going to be full-blown in it in prison. If you're
dealing with drug addiction on the streets, you're going to be full-blown on drug addiction
strung out because there's more drugs in prison than there is on the streets. Okay? If you are
known to swindle, if you have a bad, bad representation for being a liar, a thief, and a swindler,
you're going to live like that and be treated like that in prison. And so for me coming into
prison, I came with the approach of being a Christian and being just a solid woman, like
Like my word, I kept my word.
I wasn't messy.
I wasn't in drama and people's drama, gossip in here and there,
mixie to and fro in people's business.
I was the girl you came to when you wanted to pray.
I'm the girl you come to.
Sorry, I'm the girl that you're going to come to.
Can we run that back?
Let me fix that.
Okay, we're good.
So I'm the girl that you're going to come to when you want to pray.
I'm the girl that you're going to come to when you need a Bible
or you want to understand something from the word.
or if you want to go to church.
I went to church every Sunday.
They had a service.
I went.
I was at the wreck most of the time.
And for the most part, I was a great listener to both of my bunkeys.
Both of my bunkeys.
I had two bunkeys since I was there.
They both were in there for a child molestation.
One was doing 25 years.
Another was doing 12.
And I was in prison with people who were doing bids.
I'm talking about 50 years sentences,
25 years sentences, a couple of lifers.
Actually, one of the lifers that was in prison,
Lifetime Movie Network got a segment on her.
She's the one who bid me farewell.
I remember she talked to me, she said, you know, Bevelin,
you don't deserve to be here.
You know, you're a really nice girl.
You really don't deserve to be here.
And she said, you know, you keep your head up.
God's going to see you through.
A lot of the prisoners are very spiritually inclined.
You know, in prison, any little thing you can get,
it's got to be from God.
And people know that.
Any little opportunity you can get in prison.
it's got to be from God because nothing's given to you.
You're literally stripped up everything in prison.
And whatever you get, it's got to be.
It's a blessing.
There's no way around it.
And everything is black and white in prison.
There's no gray.
Like what it is is what it is in prison.
It's just straight up.
Truth is truth.
What it is what it is.
There's no way around it.
So for me, I had to be a daughter of Christ in prison.
I had to make sure that I represented myself with my walk because they didn't want to hear my talk.
They don't want to hear your talk in prison.
They don't want to see your walk.
You know, if you said you're going to buy that book, buy the book.
If you said you're going to pay that bill on a commissary day, pay the bill.
You know, at this time, I've seen girls hungry, and I would give them soups and give them things like, here, take this.
But, you know, if they're on drug, if they're in drug addiction, then I'd be like, you know what, I can't keep giving you stuff because it seems like I'm giving to you so that you can take what you get from other people and enjoy your drugs.
So it was a culture of just broken women who needed motherly love.
It needed that Christian guidance, and I had that.
So I was good in prison.
I just, we're out of time.
Bevlin, what a blessing.
Praise the Lord that I get to talk to you, that you're out of prison.
We're at a time, but I want to tell people, folks, if you can help, give sendgo.com,
Bevelin, Beatty, Williams, givesendgo.
com, Bevelin, Beatty Williams, Bevelin, thank you.
Thank you.
God bless you, brother.
