Welcome to the Eric Metaxas show.
I shouldn't tell you this, but Eric hired someone who sounds just like him to host today's show.
But since I'm the announcer, they told me, so I'm telling you, don't be fooled.
The real Eric's in jail.
Hey folks, it's time to interrupt a regularly scheduled program to do a regularly scheduled programming, which is called Ask Mataxis.
Albin, yes, sir.
You're going to ask me some questions.
I will.
I believe people have sent us these questions.
They have.
And I believe I will try to answer them.
In fact, I will try.
Question number one.
Would you, Eric Mataxis, support a quickly ratified amendment to the U.S. Constitution that reads,
No person shall be eligible to the office of president of the United States who shall attain to the age of 75 years during a full or partial term of service if it resulted in neither Joe Biden or Donald Trump being reelected in 2024.
Absolutely not. I don't think age has anything to do with anything.
I think, first of all, I believe Donald Trump will be our next president.
if the election isn't stolen as it was in 2020 by the guy pretending to be president.
I won't mention his name.
But listen, if you're a bumbling idiot at age 40 or age 76, it's really not relevant what age you are.
If you are an anti-American, corrupt, treasonous hack at 40 or at 76, that's to me the issue.
The issue of age is such a non-issue.
This is where I disagree with our friend Steve Dase.
He's just wrong.
It's got nothing to do with anything.
I know people who are 90 who are sharper and brighter than any 50-year-old I know.
This is completely irrelevant.
If you're a buffoon and a hack and corrupt and shouldn't be president, that's got nothing to do with age.
So the answer to that is a simple, Ixnay.
No, I would not.
Question number two. Here's the topic. Nefarious. It's a movie, right? What if it were a play, a traveling play? Eric, let's combine your idea and mine. Yes, the movie Nefarious should be a play. Only I have a different actor in mind for the play. That person would be Max McLean. This would be a perfect production for the Center for Performing Arts as a traveling show. Max could pull it off as he was screw tape, if you remember. I could try to pass this idea onto him, but he'd be more likely to listen to you, Eric.
Pataxus, thank you. Yes. Well, I have mentioned that I thought that the Steve Dase's film Nefarious should be put on as a stage play. I mean, it almost reads like a stage play. Even the film, it has that feeling. So I think it should be a stage play. I would not see my friend Max McClain in the role of the demonically possessed criminal murderer just because screw tape
is a very
urbane
C.S. Lewis kind of demonic
compared to the raw
horror
of the character
played in nefarious.
So maybe Max
would want to do that
and could do that, but I wouldn't see that.
I would see
my friend Brad Stein. I actually
mentioned this on the air, I think, the other day.
Yeah, you did, yeah.
Brad Stein or someone who can really, really play a dark, twisted, disturbed character, because that's who Brad really is.
I've had lunch with him.
That's who he is 24-7.
Bradstein, the comedian, is a genius who I think could pull that off.
And I would say they ought to make it a stage play.
The film, by the way, if you haven't seen it, you got to go see it, folks.
nefarious. So I will say that. No, Max, there's so much that Max McLean has done.
Yeah, he's terrific. I don't, I just don't see him doing this. Anyway, that's me.
Okay, I'm thinking Charlie Callis, but that's just...
Charlie Callis, if he were alive, he is the man.
Hi, Eric, this is question number three. I am listening to your interview with Michael Wilkerson
on my iPhone using the Apple app. Using the Apple app. That's your first mistake.
Okay. I have heard two PSAs for COVID.
boosters during this interview. I am positive that this was not your idea. Just giving you a heads
up, love your show, and your stance for the truth. A woman named Joy wrote that. Well,
that, I find some of this stuff, I guess I have to find it funny. Yeah. Like you're listening
to my show as a podcast and you're just going to get whatever. Everybody knows my stance on the
vaccines. I've lost friends over this. I said early on, not early enough, I wouldn't get
this, I wouldn't get these vaccines. The information that I was getting
on them was just not good. Plus, they overplayed COVID. I mean,
they would not give you the things that could make you better. So people initially were
dying. They were like, look, people are dying. We need the vaccine. Anyway, you know the whole
story. But if you're listening to this as a podcast on Apple podcast or wherever you're
listening, I don't know what they're going to play for ads, but you can, you can bet your
bottom dollar that I'm not in favor of getting the booster, God forbid.
Next night, if they drop in Bud Light, let us know, okay?
Yeah.
Okay, question number four, what do you think of the article in the New York Times that said
U.S. history scores for eighth graders plunge?
Is this a result of the pandemic?
What do you think can be changed in our school system?
Well, most American school systems are not worth dealing with at this point.
I would say most people, my strong urging to people, would be homeschooling or if there's a good classical Christian school in your area.
Those are my first, strong first, and weak second choices.
There are very few public schools today that have not been infected by the woke virus that have not effectively been destroyed.
And so the idea that U.S. history scores for eighth graders plunge, I mean, certainly the pandemic would have something to do that. Look, the pandemic thing, masking kids up in class. I said it at the time. This is going to be something for generations for decades. We're going to look back on these kids are going to be talking about this for the rest of their lives. That's stupid, ignorant, usually well-meaning parents allowed their kids to go through the trauma.
of whatever weirdness for nothing.
And I'm just here to say,
I'm sort of glad that this score is plunged
because it's a metric that says,
hey, maybe we need to change something.
It is interesting if the question is U.S. history scores.
I mean, do they teach U.S. history?
You know what?
I was thinking exactly the same thing.
Like U.S. history, what are they teaching about?
That's right.
Maybe we don't want them to learn.
The only positive thing that they could mention
would be Sakajuwea,
and then they kind of move on to China.
Let's go on.
Question number five, are you scared of the future of artificial intelligence?
Do you think it has the capability to change the world as we know it?
First of all, most people, and I'm going to include myself in this group,
don't even know what is artificial intelligence.
It's a kind of, it's a term we throw around.
There's really no such thing as artificial intelligence.
It's all created by human beings.
It's kind of like, you know, the magic of a computer.
Like a computer could, you know, calculate blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah in a millisecond,
and it would take me, you know, 20 years on paper.
So what?
Human beings invented the machine to do that.
It didn't invent itself.
The idea that a machine, which is just a glorified computer, you know, a high-tech, higher-level computer, has, you know, when we talk about artificial intelligence, it's kind of implying that it has, you know,
it has consciousness, like a human being, we are conscious. We have minds, not just brains. Now,
that's a big philosophical debate out there. It's a debate in the science world. What's the difference
between mind and brain? A pure materialist doesn't believe in mind. He only believes in brain.
You've got this computer in your skull. That's not right. We have minds. The mind goes beyond.
Consciousness is something that a computer, by definition, can never achieve.
So what I'm worried about is human beings using high-tech artificial intelligence for evil ends,
just like I'm worried about human beings using any kind of science, medicine, technology for evil ends.
So it is evil human beings that are capable of using these things for evil ends.
Virtuous human beings can use these things for virtuous ends.
It's kind of like the free market can give us better drugs and pornography,
or it can give us wonderful things.
It's up to the people behind it.
Lucky for you, we're at a time.
We'll be back with more of the Airquintaxis show.

Legacy pm. Investments.com. Check it out. Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering
or eliminating pain. I'm often asked that question just the other night. I was asked that question.
while the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal.
That's right, designed to heal, and I agree with them.
And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients,
yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, and each one of them helps your body deal with inflammation.
Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway.
That's the point.
So approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such wonderful relief.
If you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain from exercise or just getting older,

I am back with Brandon Strach of the walkaway campaign.
And Brandon, I want to announce that in the brief,
break. In the break, in seconds, I got the app on my phone. The walkaway app, it was easy to do. I only made one mistake, quickly corrected it. And for me, that's really, that's extraordinary. So I have it on here. And I want to make a testimonial on this app of how I walked away. In my case, it's a little complicated. But you can go to walk away.
or walkaway social walkaway social.com okay the app store what are the yes no the I did it on the app
store on my phone um and I have a bell and howl dial phone and I was able to use that so okay uh
you you um you and I are talking about your story now I don't know where to start because you kind
told your story about, you know, waking up and you create this movement, this walkaway movement.
Now, part of this culminates, and we have talked about that in depth on this program,
of how you went to the Capitol on January 6th, as was your right as a citizen under the former
United States of America.
And the powers that be, who are working for Satan, since we don't have time to break it down,
put you through hell.
Yeah.
So you told that story on this program in depth.
Where are we now?
Sure.
Yeah.
So just to kind of refresh anyone's memory who doesn't know, one, I never entered the Capitol
on January 6th.
So it's true.
I was in D.C.
I was a scheduled speaker on January 6th because there was supposed to be.
a second permitted event on lot eight of the Capitol grounds.
A march from the ellipse to the Capitol where I'd be speaking.
And as I was arriving on Capitol grounds,
I started hearing that people were going inside the building,
which sounded curious to me.
So I walked up to the east side steps,
stood outside for eight minutes, and shot a video.
And then I uploaded that video to Twitter.
Never went inside.
And during the course of that eight minutes,
a man came out of the Capitol,
got on a bullhorn and said,
they've cleared Congress,
everyone left the building,
move out, and I immediately turned around and moved out.
Right.
Somebody told me they decapitated Nancy Pelosi, and I thought she doesn't have a head anyway.
But seriously, the more you hear about what happened on January 6th, the more you feel you've been lied to,
and the powers that be in D.C., not just the Democrats, a lot of the Rhino Republicans,
which is most of them, they either push the lie or themselves,
earnestly believe these lies of an insurrection, and some of them still do, and they decided
to go nuts. This is, if you've read my Bonhofer book, you're familiar with the Reichstag
fire. Hitler used this event to demonize and crush his political enemies. That's effectively
what happened, and you were caught up in that. Well, let's also acknowledge that it's
speculated that the Nazis may have created that event.
Well, correct.
That reason.
Yes.
And EPS was involved.
Yeah.
So, but the thing is, you know, I was on the east side of the building.
And people are, you're talking about, you know, they want to believe this.
Every day of my life, people come after me and talk about how I was a part of an
insurrection.
I was part of the reason why 140 police officers were injured.
I was part of the, none of that was happening where I was.
None.
I mean, literally, I was standing there in a crowd of people.
Some were trying to walk into the east side open doors.
Some of them were not.
So I uploaded my video to Twitter.
Two and a half weeks later, the FBI stormed my apartment at dawn, got me out of bed,
put me in handcuffs, took me to jail, presented me with a search warrant,
and began stripping my apartment of my phones, computers, hard drives, thumb drives,
camera equipment, clothing, etc.
I spent a couple of days in jail, got out and found out they were charging me with two felonies
and a misdemeanor and threatening me with,
a third felony that they're applying to some people called obstruction of an official proceeding or obstruction of Congress.
You've told the story so many times you tell it calmly. My blood boils. My blood boils that our quote-unquote government would dare to do this to a law-abiding citizen like you. It makes me sick.
And we're in a war with people that are against what is called America, we the people. And you were so abused in this.
that it just deeply upsets me.
Because even if you had done anything wrong,
but when we know what you did and didn't do
and the fact that FBI people treated you like this
and put you in jail,
I just want to say, ladies and gentlemen,
again, if you're not aware of this
and if you're not doing something your part
in helping us get through this,
you're part of the problem
because this is as, this is as,
horrifying as anything has ever happened in my lifetime for sure.
Yeah.
Well, and the thing is, I was never even accused of committing any violence or vandalism.
It's not even like they thought I did that.
They knew from the beginning that I was never involved in any violence, vandalism, theft, or destruction.
At no point did anyone come to my apartment, knock on my door, and say,
could we ask you some questions?
This was a storming of agents and tactical gear, putting me in handcuffs and taking me to jail,
and charging me with felonies, with no.
no questions asked whatsoever.
And so what I found out was...
Welcome to Cuba.
Right.
So what I found out was that one of the felonies they were charging me with is called impeding an officer in the line of duty.
And I said to my attorney, what is this?
And he said to me, in your video, and it's important for people to understand, there were hundreds of people between me and the open doors, which were about 35 feet away.
So I took my camera and pointed down so that it could see what my eyes could not.
And there's a moment that lasts about six seconds.
Or about six seconds.
One capital police officer comes out of the building in the open doorway.
And when he gets there, somebody grabs his plastic shield out of his hand.
Now, mind you, they return it to him 30 seconds later.
But they grab the shield out of his hand, and then you can hear several people in the crowd
hollering things like, take it, take it, take the shield, take the shield.
Well, the FBI says, you're one of those people who is shouting that.
And so they charged me with a felony for, you.
allegedly saying those words.
And when it came time to take a plea deal, which I did,
I took a misdemeanor plea deal that was included in the language in my plea deal
that I witnessed the crowd chanting about taking a shield from an officer
and that I chimed in with the crowd saying the words,
take it, take it.
Crucify him, crucify him.
Right.
Yeah, okay.
So this is where we are in America.
Well, but that's what led then to the next part of this.
And the next thing that happened was a Soros-funded nonprofit out of D.C. called Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights under law, went out and found eight Capitol Police Officers who are black and brown people and concocted this lawsuit called Smith versus Trump, including me, Donald Trump, and about three dozen other people. I'm being sued under the KKK Act. So what they're saying is essentially you engaged in a white supremacist conspiratorial attack on black and brown capital police officers on.
January 6th and what they're trying to tie that to is well you confessed to saying the words
take it take it while a shield was being taken from a white police officer who's not in the lawsuit
now these officers who are ledging injuries that I'm somehow responsible for were working on
the other side of the building that I was on at a time when I wasn't there but somehow I
apparently owe money to these people so somehow I just want to be clear uh
If Soros is alive, I don't know if it's just his head in a tank of liquid,
if he's an actual human being, he and those who work for him,
I don't know if they're in bed with China or with Davos or whoever is behind this.
But the point is they are gaming our legal system.
They're using money to gain the legal system
to make people like you and me, and I can't talk about my case,
suffer and pay money for completely concocted stuff.
It's grotesque.
It's a grotesque, well, it's really antithetical to who we are as Americans
and to our justice system,
but people who have a lot of money have figured out ways,
and Soros is funding this.
So anybody who hears the details knows it's preposterous,
and yet somehow our legal system is allowing this.
Well, it depends on where you are.
Certainly if it's Washington, D.C., certainly if it's perhaps New York City,
there are certain districts which have been absolutely corrupted
by Soros money and some of these, you know,
DAs and people that are being injected into our legal system
that are being funded by Soros.
and that's exactly what's happening.
And all of this is designed to basically instill fear
and to create paralysis.
They don't want people like you or me
to feel like we have the right to speak out or show up
or anything else because this is what will happen to us.
I saw Soros on a park bench in New York City.
I was finishing my run, because sometimes I run in Central Park.
His nurse was adjusting his catheter, so I looked away.
But I just want to say that he's a real person.
just like, oh, I don't know, there are a few people out there doing really, really wicked things,
and we have to fight against what they're doing.
They're created in God's image, but they're doing evil things.
We'll continue the conversation with Brandon Stroke.
You can go, you must go, to Walk Away Social.
We'll be right back.
Folks, welcome back.
I'm talking to Brandon Stroke.
Walk Away Social.
I already got the app.
on my phone. Brandon, you know, I'm just so proud of you, this journey you've been on. It's
magnificent and inspiring. I want to talk to you about what you just mentioned a moment ago.
I mean, you continue to be attacked. And this is tough. This is tough. And that's why I say to
people, folks, if you're not in the fight, you're letting people like Brandon take all the heat,
which is wrong. It's immoral. So what is a...
what else are you going through right now?
Well, so here's what I would like to say.
This is my hypothesis, my theory, and the whole thing.
I believe that I was set up since day one,
and I think that many people who got ensnared in this January 6th thing were set up.
But if you're a normal person with a normal heart and a normal soul,
you don't have the ability to predict what these people are doing
in the ways in which they pervert and twist and contort the law
the system to work against you. Now, in the case of the January 6th, plea deals, which the majority
of defendants are taking plea deals because they're getting charged with four, five, six, seven
felonies. Tomorrow on the program, we have our friend Simone Gold. Right. She took a plea deal,
went to prison. Again, this is wicked, wicked stuff. Ladies and gentlemen, if you don't care
about this, you are totally part of the problem. That's why I want everybody to understand. You need
to do something. You need to do your part. If you're going to a church that
doesn't care about this, get the heck out of that church.
We are in a battle for truth, justice, and the American way.
And you are having to deal with this every single day.
Right.
So, you know, when contemplating the options in front of me, which were potentially going
before a D.C. judge and a D.C. jury on 30 years' worth of charges for the eight
minutes I spent outside the Capitol filming, I decided to take a misdemeanor plea deal.
Now, a condition of any of the January 6 plea deals is that you have to sit down and have an interview with the DOJ and with the FBI.
Now, mind you, I would have appreciated it if that had happened before they had arrested me because it might have resulted in me not being arrested whatsoever.
Nonetheless, yes, I agreed to the plea deal sat down with the FBI.
Now, keep in mind, they had already seized my phone, so they had my emails, my text messages, all of these different things.
So my lawyer tells me, you know, they're going to ask you a lot of questions.
Some of them are going to be real questions.
Some of them are going to be fake questions.
They're going to want to see if you're an honest person or not.
They might ask you about, they might make up a name and ask you if you know this person to see if you say, you know, whatever.
So we're sitting there and they had a list of about 30 names that they're asking me about.
Some of them I recognized.
Some of them I did not.
Now, the majority of them were high profile activists.
And so they started asking me questions like, who is this person?
Who is this person?
And the questions were actually really innocuous.
I mean, they were asking me things like, do you know this person?
How do you know this person?
Is this person a friend of yours, or is it just an acquaintance of yours?
Have you ever done events together?
And when I got done answering all of these questions, I sort of looked at my attorney and I was like, what was the point of any of that?
I mean, it wasn't like they said, did you see that person there and did that person go in the capital?
They weren't asking me questions like that.
And so when I got done, I was like, well, that was pretty easy, you know, no big deal.
Well, what I didn't realize was that I was being completely set up because what happened was last summer in the month of August, the D.C. courts leaked all of that information. Oh, I'm sorry.
Accidentally unsealed all of that information for 28 minutes and it went directly into the hands of the media.
Okay, the D.C. courts, again, ladies and gentlemen, we're dealing with evil, with immorality, with corruption, with criminal activity.
the D.C. courts deliberately leaked all of this information and then said, oh, it was a mistake.
Yeah.
They knew what they were doing. They are cynical.
This is evil stuff. So because of that, what happened?
Well, it created an absolute hell for several weeks because it literally within minutes, it became international headlines that Brandon Strach went in and turned all these people over to the FBI to secure a plea deal so that,
that he wouldn't have to go to prison.
It's like literally everybody lost their minds for a second
because I was going,
I stood outside of the Capitol for eight minutes,
never accused of violent charges or anything.
And they're acting like I was potentially facing the electric chair,
but thank God I went in and turned all these people over to the FBI
to save my own hide.
Now, what's interesting is that none of the people
that I was asked about were ever arrested,
were never charged, were never accused of anything.
I mean, but they released this list to the media.
and said that I provided information on all of these various people.
Now, interestingly, the only person on that list who did end up facing charges was Simone Gold,
who was arrested weeks before I ever sat down and talked to them.
And the information was that they had taken my phone.
She called me that day from inside the Capitol.
She left me a voice message and told me that she was inside the Capitol.
The cat was out of the bag.
She was on video inside the Capitol giving a speech.
She had already been arrested.
Giving a speech in America?
Right.
Wow.
But the narrative then became,
I turned Simone Gold over to the FBI.
Simone Gold's going to prison because of me,
and then I turned all of these people over to the FBI.
But the entire thing was a setup, and I now realized that.
Who is behind this, Brandon?
Who is behind this? Who's doing this?
Like one person? I have to figure this out?
Well, I'm just kind of wondering, like, who do we think is pulling these levers?
We know it's not the brain-dead pseudo-president.
And who, it's just fascinating to me that we have people doing this, setting you up, playing these games with our tax dollars.
Well, and it's happening to hundreds and hundreds of people. I mean, I'm not the only one. I'm probably just the most high profile person that this happened to in this particular situation.
But plans like this have been in, I think, have been in the ready for a long time. This didn't just spontaneously accidentally happen because of January 6th. I mean, they,
They were ready with the plan from day one.
They were ready to call it an insurrection.
They were ready to basically deploy the plan of how they were going to round people up.
Yes.
And by the way, it didn't escape from a wet market in Wuhan.
We'll be right back.
Folks, welcome back.
In case I haven't told you, it's your obligation to share this video.
on your social media, please.
More and more and more, I'm asking people to do things like this
because we've got to get the word out.
We are operating against dark forces.
We understand that it's thrones and dominions and principalities,
but they work through the Department of Justice, the news media,
and we have to do our part.
So, Brandon, you and I wouldn't be doing everything we're doing individually,
if we didn't have hope.
Right.
You have really just bravely resurfaced.
You've created this new walkaway social app.
You're working hard to help this country find its feet again.
And I just want to say thanks for that
because some people just kind of wither away
and say I've had enough.
And you and I are hoping that what we do,
do will make the other side say we've had enough.
Well, I'm hoping to at least, you know, do everything I can possibly do to push back
against the forces that are working against us.
You made a comment earlier about Tucker Carlson and that, you know, this is a time that
people need to, you know, find God or lean into God.
And certainly I don't have any opposition to that.
But what concerns me is that particularly with conservatives, there tends to be this sort
of like, well, I'll put.
my trust in God and then I don't have to do anything.
Aha. Thank you for saying that.
Yeah. I wrote a whole book.
My most recent book is called Letter to the American Church, where I basically deal with
that. And I talk about that on this program all the time.
If your faith is just faith without works, without action, it is dead.
God is not blessed by your fake faith, by your cheap grace.
The devil laughs in your face.
we are to put our faith into action, or it kind of proves we don't have faith.
Right.
So thank you for saying that.
No, it's fine.
I mean, but it's really a problem, honestly, because it's, look, if you're a person who lives a biblically principled life, then I would ask you to lean into, you know, the passages that talk about God helping those who help themselves.
There are no passages like that, but we get the message.
What you just said, I'm not kidding.
No, it's not.
That's for me. Actually, in one of my books I write about this, well, the principle is there, right? The principle, of course, is there. But in one of my books, I clarify this. But the fact of the matter is, and I mean, I'm not kidding. I talk about this wherever I go. I just spoke about this in Anchorage, Alaska. I speak about this all around the country and on this program almost every day, that part of the horror of the church in America, and this is exactly what happened to the church in Germany,
in the 30s, it's how the Nazis rose to power, is that the church bought into a bad theology.
Now, that's a really nice way of saying ideas from the pit of hell, Satan's version of Christianity,
to say, like, we don't need to do anything. We're just going to stay in our theological lane,
and we're just going to pray. And it's like, folks, if you can walk and chew gum at the same time,
you can pray and you can act. And if you're doing nothing,
you're helping evil to succeed.
So that's to me as central as it gets, what you just said.
Right.
Well, so what I decided to do was to take action to rebuild my movement
that had been damaged and taken down when we built on Facebook.
Built my own app, walkaway social.
It is available in the Google Play Store, the Apple App Store,
or on the web at walkwaysocial.com.
I want to make clear this is a movement for everybody,
even if you're a lifelong conservative or Republican.
You're kind of what we call the walk-withs,
meaning you walk with people who walk away and support them.
but, you know, I want to encourage people to get involved
and to help support, especially things like this,
because it's interesting when we're on Facebook,
we were thriving on Facebook, you know, during the Trump years,
and people would say to me all the time, you know,
I love walk away, but God, can we get off Facebook?
Can we get off Facebook?
So I build this app, and now people are like,
oh, it's a new app.
I don't know.
Can't you do it on Facebook?
No, no, we're going to start doing our own thing now.
We're going to take control of our own destiny.
Thank you.
Yeah.
need people to get behind it and support it. I know it takes
effort to, you know, get in the habit of
opening a new app and making videos. It's funny
you say this. The same thing happens to me. I'll go someplace
and people say, like, you're not in YouTube anymore, so
I don't listen to your program. I'm like, well,
I have an app. It's called the Eric Mataxis show.
You can get the app and you can listen to
this show 24-7
on your phone.
Honestly, what we're
dealing with Brandon, and
it's the reason you take the heat
you do, and I take, whatever
heat I take, we have
become lazy and complacent as Americans, we haven't been forced to fight. There were other
generations, whether they lived through the civil war or the civil rights battle. People used to
fight, but we've been so blessed that we've let our muscles atrophy. And doing something like
getting an app or sharing something on social media is too much trouble. And I want to say,
ladies and gentlemen, you've got to build those muscles back up. You've got to be civically engaged,
and you've got to do these things. And I just, I see it happening. I mean, just like you see people
waking up every day. I see hope. When I speak around the country, I'm meeting people. And so I do,
I do get excited about the future, but we've got to fight. We have to fight. And I think that,
sadly a lot of people I think have not become uncomfortable enough yet.
I certainly have. No, no, no, no. That's right. You're right.
Yeah. I think that I don't want what happened to me to have to happen to other people.
Right. But this isn't going to get better and that's the unfortunate reality.
I think that people like me and other people who got embroiled in J6. Look, I'm not talking about
people who smashed out windows or punched a police officer in the face. But if you walked
into the Capitol through an open door and you have now been FBI raided, jailed, and had
your life torn apart.
As far as I'm concerned,
these are the people
who are kind of on the front lines
of what's coming for everybody else.
Yeah.
Because they have begun the process
of normalizing,
debanking people,
cutting people off on social media,
banning people from PayPal,
Venmo, Stripe, email services.
I've been banned from all of these things.
And people might say,
well, yeah, but you went to the Capitol.
It's not going to be long
before you don't have to go to the Capitol
before these things start happening to you.
So you better wake up
and you better start getting involved right now.
And I think one of the first steps you can take,
support my app,
get on walkaway social,
support your app, and stop giving big tech so much power.
When people like you and I take initiative and do these kind of things, support it, get behind it,
encourage other people to get on it and use it.
I simply couldn't agree more, and many people who know my book, Letter to the American Church,
know silence in the face of evil is itself evil.
Not to speak is to speak, not to act is to act.
If you're doing nothing, you are helping evil to succeed.
Brandon, I'm just so grateful for you.
You are inspiring many, many people to wake up.
I hope people will get the Walk Away Social app, which I just did.
Thank you.
Ice cream castles in the air and feathered canyons everywhere.
Make like a Mr. Milk Toast, you'll get...
Hey there, folks.
I hope you have heard that on this program we are doing an appellate.
appeal to you, my listeners, the audience for the show, to raise funds for Christian Solidarity International
to free slaves. That is exactly what I said. Literally to free slaves. Christian Solidarity International
since the 1990s has been doing this. They have freed 100,000 slaves, but there are many more
who are enslaved now, real people, just like you and your family.
and I'm talking to Todd Chavin.
He's a spokesperson for CSI.
Todd, you said that this is like an operation that happens a few times a year.
So there's kind of an urgency to this.
So how is that?
How does that work?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you've got North Sudan, South Sudan.
We're basing out of South Sudan and going up into North Sudan and negotiating the freedom of these slaves that have been held captive,
many of them for decades now, most of their lives.
And so, but then what we do, the second that we negotiate their freedom, we get them out of that slave master's home off of his property.
But then we gather them together.
And three times a year, typically, we, it's a pretty great distance to get back down to the, you know, kind of the home base where these, we need to get these slaves taken to.
So we get them in a group together, and we call it a slave liberation, and we transport them together down into South Sudan and begin to hopefully reunite them with their family.
and get them started on our new life.
And so it's a really exciting time for us, as you can imagine,
because it's like the culmination of all this prayer and work and your donations.
We've had one of those already this year.
We've got another one coming up here in the next month or so,
and then another one in the fall.
So I guess the point of this is there's a real urgency to what we're asking you to do today
in giving your gift, whether it's $250 or maybe you could give $1,000,
because the more money that you give to us now,
that will allow us to know what.
our capacity is to negotiate the freedom and set even more slaves up and get them started
on their new lives yet this year.
And every year we try to save and free more slaves than we did the year before.
Sometimes we can do it.
Sometimes we can't.
But, you know, we can't release a single human being except for people like you.
And I have to tell you, Eric, your listeners over the years have been so incredibly generous,
not just in the size of the gifts, but the fact that many of these people that have come in
and partnered with CSI because of your program.
They continue to give year after year after year.
And so thank you for being so invested in this important life-saving work that CSI has never to do.
I say it all the time.
We've got to live out our faith.
If your faith is just some intellectual construct, I got bad news for you.
It's nothing.
It's dead.
You don't have faith.
If you don't live your faith out, the scripture says faith without works is dead.
So you're not saved by your works.
But if you believe you will live out your faith in works, in doing good things.
And it's vital that we understand.
That's a privilege, folks.
That is a privilege that we get to do things according to God's will for his purposes.
You want to bless God.
You do these kinds of things.
So there's other things you can do.
But I just want to tell you, I can't think of anything that is clearer than the idea that I give a certain amount of money
and it will free people from slavery.
I tremble.
I tremble when I think of God and his heart and are indifferent sometimes.
And so this is an opportunity for each of us to take seriously what we claim, we believe, to do something,
to do whatever you can do.
