Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit legacy p.m.investments.com. That's legacy p.m.investments.com. The Texas show with your host, Eric Mettaxas. Hey there, happy Thursday. Albin is not here, so I'm lost. But I'm lost even when Albin is here.
Starting point is 00:00:36 So we're going to call it even. I got to tell you, I have so much to share. that I'm just going to go in order. There's so many things happening. First of all, my guest today, my main guest in a couple of minutes, is Brandon Tatum. Some of you know him as the officer, Tatum. He is part of a film that's coming out called Uncle Tom 2. Some of you know our friend Larry Elder made a film called Uncle Tom.
Starting point is 00:01:06 The sequel is Uncle Tom, too. and it's important. Let me tell you a tiny bit about it before he comes on the program. It offers Uncle Tom 2. Now you can find it at SalemNow.com, SalemNow.com, but it offers unbelievable evidence on the extraordinary strides of black Americans in the 20th century because we're being fed kind of the victim narrative.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Tremendous strides of black Americans in the 20th century. The deliberate Marxist strategy to create racial tension and replace God with government. Horrifying, but we need to understand it. The NAACP's sinister agenda used to be a good organization. What happened? The truth behind Black Lives Matter. I've touched on these things many times on this program, but when black Americans like Larry Elder and Brandon Tatum talk about this,
Starting point is 00:02:08 I don't know about you, but I'm a little bit interested. So we've got him, Brandon Tatum, coming up. I'm thrilled. I'm thrilled. I'm thrilled. I'll share most of that. You can pre-order the film, Uncle Tom 2, at SalemNow.com. You can watch it on demand. You can get the DVD, August 26.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Anyway, SalemNow.com. So that's the first thing. Okay. Second thing, in our two today, we're doing Ask Matak. We do it every Thursday in the first segment of Hour 2. So that is coming up. Tomorrow we have Kurt Schlictor. If you know who Kurt Schlichter is, you're already drooling.
Starting point is 00:02:55 That's very exciting for tomorrow. But on Monday, we're doing a special Miracle Monday. As you know, we often do these things called Miracle Mondays. Just stories that they're true. you need to hear them. They're amazing stories. And we have Jim Doman. I'm trying to remember the title of his book.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Jim Doman, I met him when I was in San Jose, California, speaking at the church of Pastor Mike McClure. And sometimes you just meet people and you think, how have I not heard this story? The title of his book, you can look it up, it's not a mistake. Parents, a parents hope for their gay, son, Jim Domen, incredible story of redemption, totally miraculous. We need to know that there's hope
Starting point is 00:03:48 that God is real. It is just, when I met him, I said, I've got to tell your story. Have you written a book? Yeah, he's written a book. It's called Not a Mistake. Parents hope for their gay son. It's amazing. So that's Monday. Monday, Albin will be back. So much going on. We're still doing a, actually two more things. Oh my gosh. Okay. Socrates, the Socrates fall series. If you're signed up for the Socrates emails or if you just signed up for my email list, Eric Mataxis.com, you will have heard that today, today, registration is opening for our first event in our, what we're calling our fall series. Why are we calling it the fall series? Well, number one, it's in the fall.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Number two, it's a series. We start September 27th. That registration opens up today. Now, let me tell you, the early bird registration, the prices are very low. It's at cost for us. If you've attended these events, when you get there, you realize, well, this is really special. This is a glorious club. The Union League Club is just a heavenly experience.
Starting point is 00:05:03 And so I want to encourage you. you to sign up ASAP for those. The early bird price obviously is there temporarily. So if you want to go and you want to get the early bird price, jump on it. Eric Mataxis.com, if you're signed up for that, you will get the email today. Maybe you've already gotten it. Maybe you're not signed up in which case you didn't get it. Or you can sign up for the, if you just want to get the Socrates in the city emails,
Starting point is 00:05:32 you can go to Socrates in the city.com. But the fall series is very exciting. We have Andrew Claven is September 27th. I know I've mentioned that a bunch of times. But we also have an event in Houston, October 12th, the 13th, I forget, with James Tour, who is prominently featured in my book, Is Atheism Dead? The question is, how did life begin? Kind of a big question.
Starting point is 00:05:59 We ask the big questions at Socrates in the city. That's Houston. Then November 1st, we have David. Berlinski, who answers the question, what is human nature? That's back here in New York, again, November 1st. We may do an event in Denver, and we'll probably do another New York event in December. Those aren't confirmed yet, but the three confirmed events, registration opens up for the first one, as I said, today, and pretty soon we'll have, we'll open up the registration for the October event in Houston, and the November 1st event with David
Starting point is 00:06:34 Berlinski back here at the Union League Club. The Union League Club is gorgeous. If you want to come and, you know, spend a couple of days in New York, we could probably get rooms for you at the Union League Club way better and cheaper and infinitely more luxurious than any of the hotels that you can find in New York. So that's the Soxie's and City Fall series. You'll get that information today. Finally, before I go to our first guest, Brandon Tatum,
Starting point is 00:07:04 I want to remind you that we're doing a fundraiser with food for the poor, and this is kind of, how do I say it? The Salem Radio, you know all the Salem Radio hosts were competitive with each other. So we've got Sebastian Gorka, we've got Hugh Hewitt, we've got Dinesh DeSouza, Charlie Kirk, and Mike Gallagher, and a number of others. but we're kind of competitive because food for the poor comes to us and says, we want you to reach out to your audiences on behalf of these people who are suffering. And so every day we kind of get an update of how the different shows are doing. And I think I'm pretty sure my audience is a little smaller than Mike Gallagher's and Hugh Hewitts and whatever. You know, those are giant shows, Dennis Prager.
Starting point is 00:08:00 but I still feel competitive with them. Now, we kind of make a fun game of something that's deadly serious. People are suffering. People can't feed their kids. That's why food for the poor steps up. That's why they come to us and say, Eric, please reach out to your listeners. We need your help. So all gifts are tax deductible.
Starting point is 00:08:26 The easiest way to do it is go to metaxis talk. Metaxistalk.com. You'll see the banner there. That's our radio website, metaxisotalkis.com. I'm Metaxus. I talk. My guests talk. Metaxistalk.com. If you go there, you'll see the banner. It says, help Ukraine. Now, earlier this week, my Salem colleague and friend Mike Gallagher, raised, I can't believe this, over $32,000 in donations by asking people listening to this program who could afford it to make a gift of $100, knowing each $100 gift. will pay for 400 meals for kids and families who are refugees in Ukraine. $100 will pay for 400 meals. That's how efficient food for the poor is. So I realize not everybody can afford $100, but if you can, I need your help. I would like to challenge Mike Gallagher's astonishing accomplishment. You have to go to metaxis talk.com.
Starting point is 00:09:29 you will see the banner. I will also give you the phone number if in case you prefer it, but anybody can give $100. I'm just telling you, let's do it today. Please. 844-863 Hope. 844-863 Hope. 844-863 Hope.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Or make it easy on yourself. Go to metaxis talk.com. Anything you can give. But if you can give $100 today is the day, please help. God bless you. In case you haven't been paying attention, the Biden administration has caused a financial crisis and they have no clue how to fix it. Oil prices have skyrocketed. And when oil prices go up, the cost of transportation and shipping spikes leading the prices of goods to rise. And when we're already seeing record inflation, that's the last thing we need. Our economy is in trouble and you need to take steps to protect yourself.
Starting point is 00:10:35 If all your money is tied up in stocks, bonds and traditional markets, you are vulnerable. Gold is one of the best ways to protect your retirement. Starting point is 00:12:29 He's a former Tucson police officer. He's the founder of the TatumReport.com, CEO of three companies, co-founder of Blexit. What? Brandon Tatum, welcome the program. Thanks for having me, Eric. It's always a joy.
Starting point is 00:12:47 to talk to you, I saw you on a plane with your family when we were all headed down to Mara Lago for the premiere of 2000 mules. So you and I are crazy enough to actually care about elections. It's good to know that I'm not the only one. Great to see you. And I want to talk to you about the film that our friend Larry Elder has made. what can you tell us about the film? I mean, I told my audience a little bit about it, but how did you get to be involved in it?
Starting point is 00:13:25 Well, Justin Malone, before, I guess I could say, he's the genesis of this idea of exposing what really happened in the black community, the history of black people in America, the untold history. And I would argue that it's the true history, because we've been told for way too long, way too often, that black people have been just set in a plight every since the day that we landed here in America and that we have been hated and we don't belong in this country all the way up until now. And that's not true whatsoever.
Starting point is 00:14:00 And so Justin Malone had this idea. He partnered with Larry Elder. And they created one of the most incredible films that I've ever seen. And I was blessed enough to be in it. And that was the first version of Uncle Tom. And then there was a lot more to unpack and more details. I think that was, you know, to put all that in the first movie would be too much for people to stomach because it is a lot of information, a lot of shocking information. And so they came up with Uncle Tom, too, to expand on the ideas and show how Marxism has infiltrated the black community.
Starting point is 00:14:31 And we went from prospering and having hope and loving God to hating this country and to putting the government over God. Not all of us, but a good number of black people. And so the movie dives into that. Vody Bakum, who is a tremendous pastor, is in the movie. I'm in the movie. And we go through all of the history, the true history, and lay it right out for everybody to see. So Uncle Tongue, too, is coming out in a few days. And it's available on Salem now for pre-order.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Well, I was going to say, but what we're going through as a nation right now, and you know this as well as I do, it's tremendous. because over the last, let's say, five or so years, many of us, it's kind of, it's been developing, are waking up to the idea that things that we have been told all our lives are not true or are mostly not true. It's a painful thing. You know, it's like discovering that your spouse or your parent is a criminal or it has been cheating. or you cannot really process it instantly. It takes time because you say,
Starting point is 00:15:44 I've been living with this lie all this time, and you start looking at yourself, and you're thinking, how have I participated in living with this lie? Why didn't I see this? And some people refuse to see it. I mean, there are people that will never see this film, they don't want to see this film.
Starting point is 00:16:00 They have to demonize the people involved in the film because it's just too painful, because they have so much invested in this false, narrative. But you and I know if you watch these films or if you're a student of history that part of what the film talks about is that the unbelievable
Starting point is 00:16:20 prosperity of black Americans following the civil war in the latter part of the 19th century and the early part of the 20th century it is that history has been buried. The unbelievable success of black
Starting point is 00:16:35 Americans and the family, the cohesiveness of black families during that time. We are now living with the new narrative, which was pushed basically after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. That is, it's the victimology, it's the Marxist view, it's the negative view. So part of the reason I'm excited that Larry Elder and you all have made this film is we need. We need to. We need to need to re-educate ourselves about the truth. This is truth. We're not making this up. I mean, it's just, I mean, Jackie Robinson, for example, right, was a Republican. Jackie Robinson was a devout Christian. I've only heard the negative stuff that Jackie Robinson
Starting point is 00:17:30 said about the country or whatever. All the positive stuff, all that you simply never hear it. So in a sense, you guys are writing some wrongs, but we need to get the message out. So it's one of the reasons that I want to have you on. And I want to tell people again, salem now.com is where you can watch Uncle Tom and Uncle Tom, too. So what is some of the stuff, Brandon, that is in the film that most of us just don't know? Right, Eric. I want to go back just one second about the people who are ready and people who are not ready. There's two types of people in the world.
Starting point is 00:18:05 There's people who want to live in the past, and there's people who are embracing are ready for the future. So people who are going to watch this movie and who want to embrace the future and figure out what actually happens so they can improve moving forward are going to embrace this film and going to love it and share with everybody
Starting point is 00:18:21 that they see, they know, and there are going to be people who cannot accept what they see in this film and they're going to reject it and they're going to live in the past until one day they're going to wake up and they're going to want to embrace the truth because the truth will set you free.
Starting point is 00:18:36 You know, the film goes into a few elements about Martin Luther King. You know, a lot of people remember Martin Luther King's speech. I have a dream speech. They know nothing else about Martin Luther King. And I think that people will be shocked. And the film, I believe there may be a sequel to this film, but people are going to be shocked at some of the things that Martin Luther King actually said about the United States of America
Starting point is 00:19:01 and what he actually believed in some cases, not to discredit Martin Luther King at all, but there were people who were around Martin Luther King who were Marxists. Some of the things that happened with the civil rights movement and some of the actions that were taken in Birmingham, Alabama, some of those things are very consistent with some of the things that we see from Black Lives Matter today.
Starting point is 00:19:22 So there's some level of parallel that shows or are introduced us to how these things begin to go south, past the civil rights movement and after Martin Luther King died. Like you said before, people do not understand the prosperity of black people in this country.
Starting point is 00:19:40 They don't understand how Harlem was built. They don't understand what Oklahoma, they call it the Black Wall Street, what that was and what it entails and how it was reinvigorated even after the Oklahoma bombing,
Starting point is 00:19:54 which a lot of black people want to hold that and say that that was the end of the economy of black people. That was not in no way true. You know, you look at people like Madam C.J. Walker, she was the first female millionaire out of anybody. And if you look for, if you, you know, adjust for inflation, she would have been a billionaire. She was the first woman out of any woman, whether black white or otherwise, Madam C.J. Walker in the early 1900s was extremely wealthy. Black wealth was going across the country like nobody's business and a lot of black people own businesses. Let me give you another example. People probably didn't know that when Rosa Parks, made her claim to sit in the front of the bus. She didn't want to sit in the back of the bus anymore.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Black people actually owned bus companies during that period of time. And so there's a lot of information and a lot of history that has been revisionist history that have been taught to us so we can hate America instead of understanding that, hey, we went from point A and through the left, we ended up at point B. It's time for us to go back to point A. Well, I also want to ask you, Brandon, your story, for people who don't know you at all, I'm just interviewing you as somebody who's in this film at Salem Now.com. Uncle Tom, too.
Starting point is 00:21:07 What is your story? How did you come to be who you are today? Yeah, I have to say one of the most important parts of my upbringing and how I ended up where I'm at now is my father. I had a strong father that had been in my life ever since the day I was born, and that helped me gain confidence to get to me to the point that I'm at now. I wasn't always like this, though. You know, I started out believing the leftist lies. I started out infiltrated by the hip-hop culture, gold teeth.
Starting point is 00:21:34 I got tattoos all over my stomach and my arms. But then I got saved in 2008, and that was the changing point for me. I got saved, turned my life around, and then I started to open my understanding to a lot of these nuances of Uncle Tom 2. For so many people, Jesus is what turns their lives around. Not everybody, but you hear it over and over and over again. It happened to me, okay? when I, around my 25th birthday, Jesus came into my life, blew my mind, and suddenly everything began to shift in my political views, in my, in all kinds of things. So how was it that that happened to you in
Starting point is 00:22:15 2008? What led you? Can you say what led you to this conversion to Jesus? Yeah. And I say this. I think that Jesus is the true awakening and true conversion. Everything else is, you know, it's probably pretty mature. When you get Jesus, that's when everything really changed, truly, spiritually and naturally. But it was just like most people. You know, I was playing football at college. I was an All-American coming into college. Things were just going down the drain for me. And I was looking for hope. I was looking for, you know, it's God real. Let me, let me get in space. Hang on a second. We're going to go to a break. And I got a hundred follow-up questions talking to Brandon Tatum, the film, Uncle Tom 2, SalemNow.com. We'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Thank you. Tell me, Eric, why is relief factor so successful at lowering or eliminating pain? I'm often asked that question. The owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal. That's right, designed to heal. And I agree with them. So the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, each helps your body deal with inflammation.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway. and that right there, approaching from four different angles, may be why so many people find such wonderful relief. So if you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain from exercise or just getting older, you should order the three-week quick start discounted to only 1995 to see if it will work for you. It works for me.
Starting point is 00:23:56 It has for about 70% of the half a million people who've tried it and have ordered more. Go to Relieffactor.com or call 800 for relief to find out about this offer. Feel the difference. your mind. I'm the first in line. Honey, I'm still free. Take a chance on me.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Hey there, folks. I'm talking to Brandon Tatum. And Brandon, you just said, I want to ask you again, you said, Jesus came into your life around 2008, and it began to turn around everything for you. And I said, how did that happen? Jesus came into your life. And you said you were an all-American college football player? Well, I was an All-American going into college football.
Starting point is 00:24:40 So I was one of the top players in the nation coming out of high school, U.S. Army All-American. Okay. I heard you say something positive along those lines, and you said, but everything went downhill, whatever. What do you mean? Were you full of pride? Were you just thinking so full of yourself and success that it made you lose track of what's important? And that's what led you to fall apart? Or how did that, what happened?
Starting point is 00:25:02 It was mostly maturity. You know, I was very humble, but I wasn't mature enough to handle the rigors. of college football. You know, the coaches will cuss you out and yell at you and get in your face. And my attitude was so bad at the time that that turned into me wanting to fight the coaches and be upset and things like that. And they kind of took me out of my game and I got injured in my second year. I was out for the entire season. So then things begin to go south for me. However, I grew up in the church. When you, I'll say this, I grew up in the church, but the church wasn't in me. And so when you live in Texas, you play football and you go to church no matter what. I don't care
Starting point is 00:25:35 if you're atheists, you're at church if you live in Texas. So I had it retained in my consciousness, but, you know, I had to give it, I wanted to give it a try as an adult. And so I went to church. I went to an apostolic church where they believe in speaking in tongues and all of that stuff. And I got saved. I got baptized in Jesus' name. I got filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit. And my life changed instantaneously. The gift to the Holy Spirit, you believe that's for today? Oh, 100%. I do too. Because here's a little secret.
Starting point is 00:26:09 It is. Not everybody knows that, but it is. And when you go to one of those churches, it's real and it's wonderful and it's exciting. And so that's what happened to you. And this was in Texas while you were in college. No, no, this is in Tucson because I went to Tucson. I left Texas.
Starting point is 00:26:30 I'm sorry. You grew up Texas. You went to Tucson. But so this all happened in Tucson while you're in college. while I'm in college, while I was playing college football, and the great thing about that is the entire football team saw my transformation. One day I was one way, and the next day I quit cursing. I threw away all of my rap music, and I started living for Jesus, and I was on fire. I think like six or seven athletes got saved right after me just for me witnessing and them seeing, you know, what Brandon Tatum became.
Starting point is 00:27:00 And that led me down the path of understanding that life was bigger than just football. that I had to listen to God's direction, and God ended up directing me away from football into being a police officer. And then that led me to where I'm at now. So I think that the path of success came not only for having a strong foundation of having my father in my life, but also when I got saved and I allowed Jesus in my life, that completely was the game changer for me. It's just important to get you on the record saying this so that people understand that
Starting point is 00:27:34 If you want to take the shortcut to reality, it's Jesus. And I just have to say that I know innumerable people that have had similar stories. And it's like suddenly you're open to see things that you could not see before because the culture is just so foolish and so ignorant and is promoting this kind of, well, this kind of this false narrative that you hear over and over. You hear it so much. it's in the drinking water, it's almost impossible to avoid the negativity, the victim culture, you know, what you were talking about with regard to, you know, black America is that the loudest voices in black America became the voices sometimes explicitly, sometimes implicitly, of Marxism, of atheist, Marxism, of division, of stoking division between the races, between the classes and so on and so forth,
Starting point is 00:28:37 and you get sucked into that. And it's only by a miracle, by God's grace, that somehow you get pulled out of that and you're able to see what you see. And now you have been a voice for the truth, not just in this film Uncle Tom too, but you have been loud and proud about this stuff. How did you get involved in doing your radio show,
Starting point is 00:29:02 your podcast, what led you into all that? Because most police officers, I mean, it's interesting enough that you become a police officer. But then how do you get, you know, activated in that way? What happened to make you say, I want my voice out there? Well, it happened when I was policing and a lot of the guys that I was around, all of the guys that I was cool with, patrolling with, they were all conservatives. And so they were completely reiterate to me, informed me that, hey, man, you're not a Democrat, dude.
Starting point is 00:29:35 I mean, look at the policies and look at the way you stand. What do you stand with God? Look how strong you are as a Christian. They don't embody any of the Christian values that you hold dear to your heart. And then Barack Obama came out and started bashing police, and I said, I'd never vote for another politician ever in my life that won't stand up for the men and women that wear the uniform. And so that led me to looking over on the other side, looking at the Republicans,
Starting point is 00:29:57 because I was, I believed that Republicans are racist white people when I was growing up. But then I said, you know what? You know, when I got saved, I said, you know, look, we're all children of God. Let me give people a fair shake. Treat people the way I want to be treated. And let me give the Republicans a, let me get the police a trial. Let me give Republicans a trial. And I love Ben Carson.
Starting point is 00:30:14 He dropped out and endorsed Trump. I went to a Trump rally and I was blown away. I could not believe that they had lied as much as they did about Trump and saying he's racist and all his followers are racist. I had a tremendously incredible time at his rally. And I made a video about it. I never made a video a day in my life. I normally just text things that I want to talk about mostly God. I said, let me make a video because I'm too lazy to text all the stuff that I experienced.
Starting point is 00:30:36 It went viral. Donald Trump shared it, a bunch of people shared it. And I realized at that point that maybe I have a voice. Maybe it's time for me to actually say things out loud. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe you have a voice. Folks, we'll be right back plenty more with Brandon Tatum. The film is Uncle Tom 2. Go to SalemNow.com.

That's MyPillow.com promo code, Eric. Our love is a lie. And so we think. Folks, welcome back. I am talking to Brandon Tatum, and I'm loving every second of it.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Brandon, you're a blessing to many people. You're an encouragement to many people. You're courageous. And you're leading people out of intellectual bondage into the truth. And I just want to say thank God for you. Because we. as I said two segments ago, we have been through hell as a nation in the last number of years. We have seen how we've been lied to and people have doubled down on the lives.
Starting point is 00:32:58 And nobody wants to believe that. I just want to believe, like, whatever the news says, they might be a little biased, but whatever the medical establishment says, well, when you begin to see the level of deception and confusion, it is difficult to process it. But by God's grace, a lot of people are processing it, and they're coming out to where you are and I am in different ways. And I really believe America's best days are ahead. But that is only because the amazing grace of God.
Starting point is 00:33:34 It's because he has allowed us to go through the season of difficulty where a lot of people who've been sleepwalking have been waking up. At least that's my sense. Well, I agree with you, Eric. I mean, you know, God is in control of everything that occurs. You know, I think that we are going through this period of time is because we need this to grow. We need to, we need to wake up and realize, okay, this is what we have. This is what our opportunities are.
Starting point is 00:33:58 And this is what the other side has to offer. And some people won't accept that until they get exposed to it. You know, it's just like, you know, living a drug life. You know, some people use drugs and they hit rock bottom and they realize there's a, they have to hit rock bottom before they can come out of, the ashes. And it's only going to be God. And I hope that the nation understands that. It's not going to be hocus, pocus, or something that's going to get us out of this. We're going to have to return back to God. And that's what the film Uncle Tom talks about for sure is that in a black community, the fail of the black community of failures that occurred
Starting point is 00:34:30 were because we left God and went to the government. And the Marxist theology is that the government is going to replace our God. And I argue that the government will replace our fathers and everything else that makes us successful. They want the government to be in that position. And, you know, I just want the nation to understand that we are going to have to return to Judeo-Christian values. We're going to have to return back to prayer. I said a prayer on my, on my live radio show just the other day. One of the callers calling and said, we need to pray. I said, let's pray right now. We go right on air and we'll pray. And that's what we did. And I do it on my YouTube channel with over 20 million page views a month. And I pray on there as well, because
Starting point is 00:35:10 I understand that the only way we're going to figure this thing out is if true leaders that are inspired by God stand up and tell the truth to the masses and we'll see a huge change in our culture. And it is happening. And, you know, it's kind of funny because I recently spoke at a conservative event, a bunch of young people, young America's foundation. and a young woman, a black American woman, came up and asked me about how do you talk to people who don't believe in Jesus or what? How do you, you know, she was kind of asking me how do you convert them? And I said, you realize I'm not interested in religion. I'm not interested in truth. I'm interested in reality.
Starting point is 00:35:56 I want to convert people to reality because Jesus is truth. and he points, he created reality. So sometimes even Christians get very involved in like, we make things religious. And he realizes there's nothing religious about truth. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. And if people turn to him, he will lead them into all truth. And anytime you can lead anybody to anything that's true,
Starting point is 00:36:26 you are whether you know what or not leading them toward Jesus. So in a sense, we have to be less and less apologizing. about our faith because it's either real or it's not. It's not some weird philosophy we have adopted that helps us. It's called reality. And so what we're doing, we're in the business of converting people to reality. And if I'm wrong, show me where I'm wrong, because I'm interested in reality and truth. I'm not interested in following some religious line, you know. So it's just fascinating to me that this is happening around America because things have gotten so bad that plenty people are suddenly, you know, tuning into somebody like you and saying, you know, I haven't heard this stuff before.
Starting point is 00:37:08 They're kind of like they're privately, they're quietly coming along to see what you see. Right. And I think that, you know, with the conversion idea, I think a lot of people, like you said, get caught up in religion. It's not for us to go and beat over your head. You need to be with Jesus. No, you live the lifestyle. You live it before people. And then your example radiates.
Starting point is 00:37:31 And then people wonder, what's so different about this guy? And then they begin to understand Christ more. When you go out to people and you better be a Christian and not, you don't have to do all that. You expose them to the truth. The truth will set them free. I mean, it's just, it's almost as if it radiates. In the Bible, it talks about how the apostles were to go to the door, knock and present the gospel. And if people didn't want it, they move on because some people, they're not ready yet.
Starting point is 00:37:55 But you have to present. And when I say present, I mean live the life. lifestyle. I don't, I in no way, I'm trying to convince anybody about Jesus. I'm not trying to convince you about politics. I just tell the truth and I allow the truth to set you free. And I don't have to be anybody. I have to recreate myself to be nobody, somebody that I'm not. I only tell the truth. I'm authentic to myself. I know who I am. And I present that every single day when I go on the radio or I go to speeches or whatever the case may be. And I allow God to use the things that I say in my actions to infiltrate the hearts of people because only God knows how to do that.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Some people are in different positions. So part of what's happening in America right now is revival. There are people coming to faith. And then there's reformation. In other words, what you present in this film, Uncle Tom, too, people's minds are being blown. Heads are exploding, especially among black Americans who have completely bought into this. And then they think, what? why has this been kept from me? Why have I never heard this? So it's one of the reasons I have this passion to get the word out about this film, folks.
Starting point is 00:39:08 This is reality, okay? Larry Elder is somebody that he's been black most of his life. He has lived this, right? He has lived this. Brandon, you have lived this. And when you discover this truth, you think, I have been living for decades in a world that refuses to talk about these things that only says you have to buy into this narrative. If you don't buy into this narrative, you're not being black.
Starting point is 00:39:39 They're telling you what it means to be black. They're giving you this Marxist ideology. And people are waking up. So I am really, really obviously excited. We'll keep you around for another short segment. And folks, the film is Uncle Tom 2. You can go to SalemNow.com. We'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Folks, welcome back. I'm talking to Brandon Tatum about the brand new film. It is called Uncle Tom 2 Electric Bugaloo. Just kidding. It's just called Uncle Tom 2. You can find it at Salem now.com. So what else is in the film? I mean, for example, let's talk about the truth behind Black Lives Matter.
Starting point is 00:40:44 You are wearing a shirt right now that says police lives matter. You're triggering a lot of people by wearing that shirt. What is the story behind Black Lives Matter? Because I drive down in New York City, all these, like, you know, ultra-white churches have a big Black Lives Matter sign out front, which I don't know what they're trying to communicate. Like, we're not racist bigots. Please join our congregation. Like, I just, it's so pathetic to me. What is the story behind Black Lives Matter from your point of view?
Starting point is 00:41:20 Well, Eric, just while we're on the subject of God, it's the devil. The devil is the master of deception. And these words are being used to portray something that it has no involvement with. I mean, we can go to Planned Parenthood. You're not planning any parenthood showing up at Planned Parenthood. And the same thing with Black Lives Matter. It has nothing to do with Black Lives Matter. It's only if black lives are taken by police officers, whether the black person was justifiably shot or not, they only care about that.
Starting point is 00:41:48 When 99% of black lives that are taken in other forms of fashions, mostly by other black people, they don't get any coverage. No T-shirts, no love, no nothing. And Black Lives Matter is simply a Marxist organization. They admitted that they were. They want to destroy the nuclear family. In their terms, they said, reimagined. We know what reimagining is. Reimagining it means destroy.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Same thing they want to reimagine. in America. They want to destroy policing in America. It is a Marxist organization that used the death and a dead bodies of black people to push an agenda and raise money. We don't know where the money is going. It's not going to black people. It didn't go to Michael Brown's family, didn't go to Brianna Taylor's family, didn't go to George Floyd's family. Where's the money going? Patrice Cullors, who was the head of one of the co-founders, she had to step down. She's buying houses in the white neighborhood, mansions in the white neighborhood, taking the money that people donate for black lives to invest in an environment that.
Starting point is 00:42:41 They don't involve any black people. These people are fraudulent. They use it for political leverage. It's similar to things that we've seen consistently in the past. And there's a difference between, and let me say this. Let me say this, Eric, because I want to get this one in. The idea of when transformation happens, how zealous we become. And I know I'm changing gears just a little bit.
Starting point is 00:43:05 But when I found out that Black Lives Matter and all these other organizations were complete frauds, it's the same time I found out that Jesus was the way, or at least the same, it had the same feeling. And I had this vigor and this, in this passion inside of me to say, I need to tell everybody I know about the fact that we grew up with a lie. And the same thing when I got saved. I can't believe that this Jesus thing is real. I need to tell everybody I can or at least live the lifestyle before people so that they can see the truth. And that's kind of what we've gotten to at this point. But Black Lives Matter is a completely fraudulent organization, and there's nobody else that can tell me anything different.
Starting point is 00:43:45 And the problem is that some people feel what we call white guilt. And they feel this white guilt, and they try to do anything they can to show, hey, I actually love black people. And then the sad part is is they put the Black Lives Matter flag up, but they don't do nothing for black people anyway. They'll never go to the inner city. We are commanded to love our neighbors. and I am commanded to speak out for the poor, for the urban poor, for black poor. I'm commanded by God to stand up for them. And when I know that Black Lives Matter is an atheist organization,
Starting point is 00:44:20 which is destroying black families, is destroying black lives, I have an obligation before God to denounce the organization called Black Lives Matter. I know I will lose points in some circles, but I have to worry, what does God think of what I'm doing? And you've been a brave voice. We're out of time. Brandon Tatum, we've got to have you back. We have to continue this conversation as soon as possible.
Starting point is 00:44:46 A film is Uncle Tom 2. Check it out at SalemNow.com. Brandon, God bless you. God bless you, Eric.
