Welcome to the Eric Metaxus show.
It's the show featuring Go Go Go the Chimp.
Nothing like a chimp to liven up the radio show.
Easy there.
Go, go, go, go, go.
No, go, go, go.
Welcome back, folks.
I want to bring Megan Basham back on to talk about the Jimmy Kimmel-debical.
I, you know, Megan, first of all, welcome back.
I have to say that sometimes people just don't spell these things out clearly enough.
What Jimmy Kimmel said about the death of Charlie Kirk, he acted like it was, hey, like, we got something funny in the news and let's just comment on it.
And I thought, he was the father and husband.
He did not have anything approaching the respect for this subject.
he just thought that he would kind of score political point.
It's almost like he did not understand that you're talking about the murder of a young man.
Be careful what you say.
He didn't get that.
And then he's astonished when people are upset and people start talking about free speech.
I thought, free speech, what are you talking about?
He's got all the free speech he wants.
He's just not guaranteed a zillion dollar gig on a major network.
you know, and by the way, it looks like Disney's giving it back to him.
But what are your thoughts on this bizarre, bizarre tone deafness of Jimmy Kimmel and the other
cultural elites?
Yeah, you know, for one thing, you look at who the two separate free speech martyrs are.
And you've got a left who are trying to act like Jimmy Kimmel's being benched for a few
days.
And that's really all it was for market reasons is a parallel to Charlie Kirk's being assassinated.
So, I mean, you want to talk.
talk about which side is committed to free speech. You've got conservatives, Christians who will go out
there and speak knowing that their lives might be taken from them. And in the meantime, you saw a Hollywood
apparatus and a business apparatus that was much more energized about Jimmy Kimmel being benched for
saying something really disgusting. And let's be clear about what he said. He said that the killer
was MAGA. So it's a lie. So he just put out a total falsehood that he certainly at the time he said
it should have known was a falsehood because Utah Governor Spencer Cox, the FBI, all of them
had at that point released information about the ideology that was driving this young man.
So when Jimmy Kimmel said that, what he was doing, when he called that killer Maga,
what he was doing was signaling that if you are a crazed leftist who is going to go out
and kill conservatives, we'll cover for you. We will ensure that we don't get to,
to the bottom of what's driving this murder and this rage because we're going to facilitate a way
for it to continue happening by covering up with the true story was. So that's really what he's done
here. And that is so significant for Disney to just go, hey, a little timeout is acceptable.
That's enough for you. That is, yeah. No, no, I was just going to say, I have said,
And again, I just want to be clear with my fellow Americans, fellow Christians who are listening,
people say, what can I do?
What can I do?
You know, we're in this war.
It's a spiritual war.
What can I do?
Well, what you can do or will you do it?
You should boycott Disney into the dust.
But people like, well, you know, my seven-year-old wants to go where I want to take the grandchildren.
You know what?
You're part of the problem, folks.
you're part of the problem. People sacrifice their lives.
The people, I'm writing about the revolution right now, they sacrificed everything.
And you say, well, I don't want to boycott Disney or I don't want to boycott Target or I don't want to do it.
I don't want to, you know, that's a sacrifice.
If you're not willing to make that sacrifice, I mean, the civil rights movement, you know, the Montgomery Bus boycott, people, poor people with crummy jobs walked miles to work every day for a year because they thought we're doing the right thing.
if we don't have that attitude that, you know, I'm going to give up Disney or Disney Plus or whatever,
we deserve to be in the misery that we've been in for these decades.
But that's what amazes me, Megan, is that there are people who don't, they just don't care enough.
And I think that that's, that's been a big part of the problem.
People say, well, I just, I just want my convenient life.
But you're not putting your shoulder to the wheel with the rest of us.
But we now have somebody murdered for talking.
and if that doesn't move people to boycott Disney,
I mean, Disney honestly should no longer exist.
They have been wicked.
This is one example.
This is nothing.
They have pushed transgender mutilation and that ideology.
They have pushed it hard.
They're the enemies of you and your kids.
And I just think that this is what amazes me is that there's still people that they don't get that or boycott ABC.
We've got to be serious about this.
I mean, what he did, what Jimmy Kimball did, he's been doing this for a lot, for two, for 20 years.
And now finally, it takes something like this for people to catch, you know, even to take notice of it.
That's to me, that is dismaying that there's so many people that they just don't care.
Yeah.
And here's what I would encourage people to do.
Because the interesting thing about how this story is developing is that, you know, there was the left push this lie, that the reason that Disney put Jimmy Kimmel on ice was because of something that FCC commissioner Brendan Carr said.
that was not true i mean look i think it would have been better if brendan car had not gone out and talked
about abc's license and all that but that's not why disney did what they did it's not why a bc said
we're going to pull him the reason a bc pulled him was because sinclair and next star which
own and operate a great number of abc affiliates said we are not going to carry jimmy kimmel's
show because of his offensive comments and frankly lies about charlie kirk and his
death. So right now, ABC is saying, we're putting Jimmy Kimmel back on the air now. They said they've
come to some agreement. But Sinclair, at least, I'm not sure where Next Star is at, but Sinclair is saying,
we are not going to put him back on the air on our affiliates. So the first thing you need to do is go find
a way to express your support for Sinclair. You know, go send a note to, you know, their station
management, send a note to, you know, their social media accounts and let them know that you support their
decision not to carry Jimmy Kimmel's show on their station affiliates. And I think Nextstar is making the
same choice. So go ahead and do that and let them know because there's going to be a standoff.
ABC cannot afford to have its affiliates not carry its programming. So there's going to be a real
face off here and make sure that your voice is heard in it. And by the way, folks, I want to do a
late night show. So if Sinclair is interested in trying me out as a host, I'm up for it. I also think
I would watch that show.
Well, no, I mean, we've, you know, we've done pilots and stuff,
and I've talked about this for years.
But I think we're at that moment in the culture where people are just,
they've had enough.
And I also, but I think that we have to see who advertises on Jimmy Kimmel's show.
And we have to boycott them and we have to boycott them hard.
And folks, if you're not willing to do that, I'll say it again, you're part of the problem.
Please don't listen to this program.
Because if you're not willing to do that, you know, again,
And people die for what they believe in.
There are people all around the world right now,
imprisoned for their Christian faith, for their beliefs.
We have to stand up.
We have to live out what we claim to believe.
Otherwise, I think God knows we don't really believe it.
So this is a moment in the culture.
And these networks are very guilty, very, very guilty.
We have allowed them to get away with this for decades and decades.
And I think we have to say, no, we're not going to anymore.
You have to at least show respect, you know, when somebody that we admire is murdered,
please take that seriously and they have not.
And again, Disney has so many sins that this is just one more example.
But ABC and Disney, we have to, we have to boycott them.
And that means everything.
If you're getting Disney Plus or whatever, or if you're thinking about going to the theme parks or whatever, please, folks, please take this seriously.
Megan, just a minute left.
Yeah.
To piggyback on what you just said, I also kind of want your audience to feel their power here in this,
because we have had some cultural successes in the corporate world.
We have seen target shift gears.
We have seen them back off from their heavy pride promotion.
We have, look at what Donald Trump managed to achieve with Cracker Barrel.
We saw Cracker Barrel going that route, and they have completely reversed course.
So look, I get that Disney is this behemoth corporation.
and they had the entire celebrity class in their ears.
The entire celebrity class was acting like Jimmy Kimmel being not able to be on his show
for a few nights was the equivalent of Charlie Kirk's murder.
So one, you need to think about how insanely morally blinkered that is, but at the same time
realize that we are in a moment where we have the power and the influence to affect some change.
So if we miss it at this moment, it might not come back again.
Right.
And so we need to take every opportunity.
to influence the culture for good that we have right now because look, these moments don't last.
Folks, please do it. Megan Basham. Thank you. Thanks, Eric.

John, how are you? I'm doing well. I mean, it's a strange world we live in and it's getting
stranger by the day. But, you know, I'm a strange person, so I'm finally starting to feel at home.
Okay. So yesterday, some stuff happened yesterday. We didn't comment on yesterday. But Trump,
first of all, in hour two today, I'm talking to Megan Basham for a minute about the Jimmy Kimmel thing.
And in fact, yesterday, we didn't know this when we spoke, but Next Star, so there's Sinclair Group,
which owns a lot of ABC affiliates. And then Next Star, both of them has said they,
will not run the Jimmy Kimmel show, which is great news for America.
And in other news, President Trump at the U.N. was mocking the UN, which is the, actually,
it's the most presidential thing you could possibly do is to mock the U.N. because they're a joke.
But he said something like, I've ended seven wars and I didn't even have a phone call from the U.N.,
which shows us that the purpose of the U.N. is not what it was when it was founded.
and I don't even know why we have a UN.
I think Trump should kick the UN off of U.S. soil.
Maybe, you know, they could meet in Belgium or something like that, and we'll just skip it.
That would be perfect.
And we could turn.
Or they could meet in Gaza.
They could have it, you know, the Palestinians could take it over officially.
Yeah, yeah.
I want to see the U.N. building turned to something useful, like maybe a mental asylum for all the lunatics
wandering the streets of New York.
You can just house them all humanely in the U.N.
UN headquarters and make it. A lot of them are already, I hate to disappoint you, but a lot of them
are already there, John. So. That's right. Representing Arab countries and European countries.
That's a great. No, it's, it's unbelievable. I want to say something about the founding of the UN,
okay? People like to think the UN was a noble cause that got perverted. The UN was an idiotic
idea from the beginning. The UN was something that Franklin Delano Roosevelt's inner circle of
advisors, several of whom were communist agents working for Stalin, the UN was created on the illusion
that the U.S. and the Soviet Union shared fundamental values, and that after defeating Hitler,
we would be able to work with the Soviet Union, which was running the Gulag, which had
committed holocausts against the Ukrainians and other ethnic groups before Hitler even came
to power, that we and the UN would work.
We and the Soviets would work on our shared values to reconstruct a peaceful world.
So it was always kind of a delusion.
It was useful once, once the UN was useful, because the Soviets were boycotting.
They were boycotting the UN.
They were not at their seat on the UN Security Council.
So we were able to get the UN to back us in the Korean War, to stop a communist invasion of South Korea.
Every other occasion, the UN has been simply a device.
for the third world to Mao, Mao and blackmail the developed world.
And I loved what Trump said at the UN that the open borders that have been encouraged by the UN
and encouraged by the EU are destroying all our old partners in Europe.
Right.
I mean, right now in Italy, the latest headlines from Italy, Italy did not decide to recognize
the fictitious imaginary Palestinian state.
And so thousands of radical Muslims are rioting in the streets of Rome and other cities in Italy right now, rioting to demand that the government of Italy recognized the fantasy nation of Palestine, whereas Britain and France have already caved.
And this is the best part. Great Britain recognized the Palestinian state. The next day, the leader of the Palestinian Authority, demanded reparations from Great Britain for all the mean things that Britain did.
to Palestine over the decades, and the amount of the reprimations they're demanding is two trillion
pounds, the equivalent of the entire British economy. This is what we call justice. I call this
Camoupons. That's how I like to pronounce the word comeuppance based on the original French.
The cumuppance, the cummuppance, you recognize the Palestinian state the next day they demand
your entire economy as reparations. God has a sense of humor. Well, look,
That's the way it works when you're dealing with the devil, you know, you're like, oh, we'll make a deal.
I'll give you this.
And, you know, he's really not interested in anything than your eternal soul, the whole thing forever and ever and ever.
It's you're dealing with evil.
But there are people.
It's also when you appease Islam.
Islam is a global domination.
What do you mean also?
I'm just being more specific.
I'm just being more specific.
Yeah.
You're dealing with evil.
When you're dealing with evil, if you don't know you're dealing with evil, you're in trouble.
And a lot of people on the left have no clue.
They think that, oh, we can, we're going to be nice to you.
We're going to give you a, you know, we're going to give you a state and we're going to do this and we're going to do that.
And clearly, we've seen over and over that, you know, when we offered like everything to yes or Arafat, he didn't take the deal.
Why?
Because he would rather be able to just complain to the world.
He'd rather that his people suffer.
He prefers that to, you know, anything the sane person would prefer.
Eric, it's actually worse than that.
What's going on in Gaza, what the Palestinians have been doing is this.
They reject any reasonable deal.
They commit acts of horror against Israel, knowing Israel will retaliate.
And then they can paint themselves as victims in the eyes of the world.
And they know that our residual Christian conscience will make us feel guilty about
the fact that we need to bomb Gaza.
We need to inflict civilian casualties as a side effect of combat.
And our sentimental post-Christian humanitarianism will lead us to finally, finally say,
okay, you're using your kids as a human shield.
You win.
You win.
You can use your civilians as casualties as cannon fodder.
And because we still have this leftover version of debased Christianity, we will give up,
we will surrender. It doesn't work with the Israelis because they were never Christian, so they're not
post-Christian. They don't care. They care about their national survival. It works in Europe. Every day,
boatloads of so-called refugees arrive in Great Britain and go on welfare, and then they fill the streets,
praying to Mecca, blocking the roads, and they demand Sharia law. And the Brits just don't know what to do.
They can't summon the will to survive. They would rather die than be seen as rude. And what happens to
people like that is they die and their civilizations die and they disappear and they're replaced by
Islamic conquerors. John, do you have any sense that there's hope for Europe? We've seen this
outpouring for Charlie Kirk. It really does seem to me that there is some hope, that there's
something going on in Europe, that the people in Europe are finally waking up. I hesitate to offer a
hopeful scenario for Europe because the only hopeful scenario will be very ugly indeed. There are two
alternatives for Europe. Surrender to Islam or a massive civil war that will make World War to
look like a Tea Party. And there are too many Muslims in Europe and they're too aggressive and
too devoted to conquest. They're going to have to remove. They're going to have to expel millions of
people. It's going to be like Serbia in the 90s. Or they will surrender to Islam. Either alternative
is ugly. Obviously, surrender is worse than fighting. But there need to be some Churchill's in
Europe. And the problem with being a Churchill is you're going to have Dunkerks. You're going to have
blitzes. It's going to be really ugly. These people are not going to leave peacefully. They're not
going to leave voluntarily. You're not going to be able to give them a check and send them back to Syria.
They think they have the right to every square inch of planet Earth because that's what Islam teaches.
Islam teaches that every non-Muslim is a rebel against God who must be defeated, forcibly converted, or subject to Jim Crow style humiliation, what they call dimitude, where you are a third-class citizen, the way Christians are in Egypt.
So it's going to, I mean, if there is going to be a civil war in Europe, the sooner it happens, the better.
our odds. I don't like to, I don't like to fantasize about bloody horrible conflicts,
but it's better than Europe being conquered by Islam. And those are the alternatives.
There is no peaceful coexistence with Muslims who believe in Sharia law who want to impose.
So you don't think that the, that the ADF party in Germany or that the Reform Party in England,
if they come, I want them to come to power. But if they do come to power,
They're going to eventually have to kick out millions of people.
And those people won't go peacefully.
This is going to be ugly.
Do they have the stomach for it?
I don't know.
But these Muslims who arrived are not going to leave peacefully.
They're not going to honor the deportation papers.
They're going to want to stay.
They're going to riot in the streets.
It's going to be ugly or it's going to be a surrender.
I'm not bloodthirsty enough to look forward with glee to what will be necessary
to expel the Muslims from.
Europe, but that is what will have to happen. They will have to expel the Muslims from Europe.
I don't know that I see that. In other words, I think that it's possible that if you do the right
things, some of them would self-deport or they would learn to live, you know, along the lines of
British law or French law. I don't know. We're going to a break. Folks, I'm talking to John Smirak.
That's the good news. And there's more good.
good news, because when we come back, we continue talking to John Smirak.
Please stick around.
I know you will.
Welcome back.
We're talking to John Smirak.
John, you know that for many years I've wanted to host a late-night show, and it has
been giving, it has given me great hope to see Colbert get canceled and to see Jimmy Kimmel
kicked to the curb by Sinclair and Next Star, not just because he's not funny, but because
he is deeply disrespectful of, you know, your average American, basically.
He's just a fire-breathing leftist nut.
And I don't understand why people like that even have a show.
But they're propped up by Disney, ABC.
These are all institutions that care about the left more than they care about the middle.
So, yeah, what thoughts do you have on what's going on there?
Well, it's appalling that our elites united behind Jimmy Kimmel for lying about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, for going on TV and spreading what they would call misinformation, saying that he was shot by a MAGA conservative, when in fact he was shot by a furry with a trans boyfriend who hated Trump, hated Christianity, hated America.
The fact that our elites would unite behind Jimmy Kimmel and get him put back on the air tells us they are our enemies and we are in a sort of a cold civil war.
The fact that Sinclair Broadcasting was going to run a tribute to Charlie Kirk instead of Jimmy Kimmel, I think tonight or tomorrow night, they were forced to cancel it because of terrorist threats against their affiliates.
And there was an attack on an ABC affiliate in California with at least one shooter and apparently a second shooter has been arrested.
So when terrorists can dictate what goes on TV and the left doesn't mind, but when Trump's FCC commissioner said something negative about Jimmy Kimmel, all these losers on the right said, oh, this is censorship, this is fascism. Ted Cruz, political numsculled that he is. Ted Cruz came out in defense of Jimmy Kimmel. We need a primary Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz almost loses every six years to a socialist in Texas. That's how unpopular he is. Just personal.
He's just like somebody from the Adams family, but not funny.
Anyway, imagine the Adams family were a drama.
Ted Cruz would be there, looking at you creepily, putting you into the uncanny valley.
Every time he smiles, your blood runs cold.
We do not need this.
The Adams family were a drama.
I didn't expect to hear that today, John.
You're killing me.
Stop it.
But I have a solicit.
But I have a solution for Trump.
What Trump needs to do to strike back at ABC and at all the networks ban pharmaceutical advertising on television.
That is the artificial blood that keeps the vampire industry of the mainstream media alive.
Big Pharma run these ads that nobody buys, nobody goes to their doctor after watching one of these big pharma ads and says, oh, could I get up check?
Obchakniks. They say it will help me. I saw it on TV during the Jimmy Kimmel show. No, it's not there to sell the medicine. First of all, they have to read all these side effects that make you scared. These pharmaceutical ads are not designed to sell drugs. They are bribes to the networks. And that's why the networks won't report on the link between autism and vaccines. That's why the networks trash RFK Jr. Why the networks talk about, oh, science deniers, anti-vaxxers, because they are being paid.
The only, John, I don't want people to miss the point you're making you. This is very important. I don't know who I heard this from recently. I don't know if it was you or somebody else who said, you made the same point. Maybe it was you. But, okay, folks, what John is saying, so just so you're perfectly clear, all of Big Pharma, they pour millions and millions and millions of dollars into these, you know, they're paying networks. Okay, why? Do we run out and buy these things? Obviously not.
They do this so that these networks, ABC, CBS, NBC, whatever it is, CNN, so that they do not
publicly go against Big Pharma's interest.
This is a bribe.
That's all it is.
It is a bribe to these networks.
Now, that should be illegal.
It should not, this is common sense.
This is common sense that they are buying the silence of these networks, which are supposed to represent
we the people, these are airwaves, they have some kind of a commitment to speak in truth.
They are not interested in that. They are getting paid tons of money. So people have talked about
this, that RFK Jr. and Trump have been interested in this idea. Do you think that this is something
that may happen? This would be a very big deal. It would be a very big deal. It would kill the mainstream
media. It would just cripple them. It would just devastate them. It would be like saying you can't sell
beer at football games.
It'd be like saying you can't take Xanax before watching the WNBA.
I mean, it's just not possible.
Yeah, that's not, that's a non-starter right there.
So, John, but seriously, this, I mean, look, I remember when these laws were made.
I guess it was like in the late 90s that suddenly Big Pharma like finagled it so that they
could advertise on TV.
I remember thinking that's really strange.
But we've been living with this.
for 25 plus years.
And as you just said,
that is what keeps the mainstream media alive
is all that money from Big Pharma,
which we now know is mostly wicked.
But do you think Trump could do this?
Yes, I think he could.
I think he could do it by executive order.
It's certainly worth the try.
Why hasn't it?
I'm surprised.
Well, there are a lot of things we wish Trump would do.
You know, Trump is basically,
he's like one man,
riding a giant elephant
trying to control this
berserk elephant that is the federal
government that is running rampant and trampling
people and he's up there trying to pull one
string, pull another string. I don't
blame Trump for all the things he
hasn't gotten around to do yet. I
certainly hope he does this one.
This should be, the Jimmy
Kimmel thing is such a middle finger
in the face of America that
Donald Trump could harness it,
use this moment to say, I'm
shutting down the big pharma ad.
They don't sell anything. They're just bribes.
Look, they are just bribes. That's real. We'll be right back talking to John Smirak.
Welcome back talking to John Smehran. John, you know a few days ago, I was at the Charlie Kirkmorel in Phoenix.
And I was like running to get a water or something. And so I missed Tucker Carlson's comments.
But he said something. And it was not clear to me when it was reported to me what he said.
I was confused. What did he actually? Did he? I thought he actually said,
that, you know, it's like the idea of people plotting to kill Jesus.
That's not going to go well for you.
You know, if you're a demon and you think, oh, we've got them now.
No, crucifying Jesus is going to lead to the resurrection,
which is going to lead to an outpouring of faith around the world.
It's going to change the world.
It's going to be the greatest thing ever.
Similarly, you know, when people decided we want to kill Charlie Kirk,
that's going to lead to an outpouring of faith and freedom like you have never seen.
but what did Tucker say actually?
So I just so we get it right.
Okay. Tucker, your recap was correct, but he also said he also, the way he put it,
and you can interpret this as just a way of putting some color in his comments,
or you can interpret it differently.
He said a bunch of people eating hummus planning to silence Jesus to kill him so he can't tell
the truth about them.
That's what he said.
He meant he sort of humorously.
suggested that the Sanhedron, the people who plotted to kill Jesus, were eating hummus,
just give some color detail, right? Hummus hadn't been invented back then. A number of people,
such as Laura Lumer, Mark Levin, have said that this was an anti-Semitic dog whistle,
that Tucker Carlson was trying to whip up anti-Semitism by reviving the
idea that we should blame the whole Jewish people for the death of Jesus when, in fact, it was just a few leaders of the religious community who were envious of him.
But there was massive mistreatment of Jews by Christians for 2,000 years because of the idea that all the Jewish people were somehow to blame for Jesus' death.
People are saying that Tucker Carlson was using a dog whistle.
Now, just on the face of his comments, they struck me as perfectly.
innocent. I do think Tucker Carlson has been having guests on his show who are anti-Semitic,
who are excessively critical of Israel and apply a double standard. I worry that Tucker is
dabbling with some dangerous people. I think we need to earnestly pray and advise Tucker
to stay away from crank fringe figures
who are trying to divide the conservative movement.
I also think some people like Mark Levin
are too aggressive on the Middle East.
They think the U.S. has to back every decision
that every Israeli government makes.
And I think that's not America first,
and it's not really in the best interest of Israel either
to always back the most ultra-nationalist,
radically aggressive factions in Israel.
That's not probably a good idea
for the state of Israel,
much less for America.
It's a complicated issue,
but I think fundamentally,
Satan, Satan is trying to divide the right.
Satan is trying to neutralize
all the powerful energy,
all the revival
that's coming about
in the wake of Charlie Kirk's murder.
The devil is trying to shunt it off
and get the Christians and the Jews
at each other's throats.
And we can't fall.
into the devil's trap.
I want to be clear, folks.
The case is anybody listening to this program
and you don't understand who killed Jesus,
you killed Jesus.
Do you understand that?
If you don't get that,
you are not a Christian
or you don't understand
the most basic Christian doctrine.
It was your sins and my sins
that put Jesus on the cross.
That some Roman soldiers did it,
that some Jewish religious leaders
were involved, that some Roman officials were involved.
That's really not the point.
And so anybody...
Jesus would have died on the cross if only one person had sinned.
He would have died for that one person.
And that one person is you and me.
Well, so, but just to be clear, so when anybody says things like, well, the Jews
killed Jesus, first of all, Jesus was a Jew.
All of his followers were Jews.
So shame on you if your understanding of history and scripture is so sloppy that you would say something like that.
But there are people, listen, there are such wicked anti-Semites among us.
I was astonished the other day.
I believe Candice Owens had Nick Fuentes on her podcast.
Did I dream this?
I don't think that that.
I don't know because I think they hate each other now because they're rivals.
Okay.
But I mean, a while ago she had him on.
And I saw it recently and I thought he is an utter.
racist. He is a genuine
fire-breathing,
racist Jew-hater,
and we have to reject this.
And a federal agent, too, by the way,
just, you know. Whatever.
But we have to reject this. We really
strongly, strongly have to reject
it. I want to
say what I think is really going on, okay?
Yeah. Yeah. Satan hates
the whole human race, okay?
But he hates the Jewish people
in a special way. Because
God chose the Jewish people to
be sort of the microcosm of the human race.
He chose the Jewish nation as like the stage where the drama of salvation would take
place.
The prophets denounce the demons of the Canaanites, which entailed human sacrifice.
The prophets denounce these demons that went under the names of pagan gods.
Satan has hated the Jewish people in particular for 6,000 years.
if he can get the new Israel, the church, hating the old Israel, the Jewish people,
well, that's a huge win for Satan.
And some of the most scandalous things that have driven people away from Christianity
have poisoned the gospel, have been the mistreatment of Jews by Christians.
And in fact, many Jewish people are attracted to the teachings of Jesus,
to the person of Jesus, but they can't make the leap to accept the gospel
because they remember how their grandparents were persecuted in Russia or Poland.
So that's on us.
That's us keeping God's own people from their Savior because of our sins, our ancestor's sins.
So many people think they think they're Christian, but what they mean by Christian is,
I'm not a Jew.
They're Gentiles.
Gentiles.
I've said about the Bonn-Hopper book is that all these people that claim to be Christians,
they're not Christians.
They're Gentiles.
and don't be confused.
Gentile nationalism,
Gentile tribalism,
where you feel more kinship
with your pagan ancestors
than you do with Abraham
and Isaac and Joseph
and the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph
and the Apostles.
And that's just from hell,
straight from the pin of hell.
That's exactly right.
Naomi Wolf has been saying
some wonderful things on Twitter.
Just my admiration for Naomi grows by the day.
And she's such a benevolent.
benevolent, gracious figure in the public square. She's trying to reason with these...
We have to get her back on the program. Forgive me. We're going to a break. We'll be right back
more with John Smirak.
It's slowly go by and feel.
Welcome back talking to John Smirak. John, what else?
Well, one thing I need to address, and I'm going to write a column about this for the stream,
since Charlie Kirk's savage political murder, a number of
online Catholics have been running around saying, well, Charlie was on the brink of becoming Catholic.
His wife's Catholic. He went to mass with her. Charlie was really going to be a Catholic. He really
was. He was this close. He was this close. And it's not true. Okay. There's video of him saying
that a lot of things appealed to him about the Catholic Church, but he can't accept the doctrine
that Mary was without sin. But more importantly, he said that Pope Francis had been the single
biggest thing to drive him away from even looking into becoming a Catholic, because if the leader of
the church can teach heresy, can promote globalism, open borders, can be friendly to Marxism,
well, then, you know, how much credence can you put in this institution of the papacy?
Pope Francis was indeed a real challenge to the faith of a lot of Catholics like me.
And my idea of what the papacy means has certainly shrunk down to size. Pope Francis shrank it down to
size. But why? I want to ask why it is that all these fellow Catholics are trying to claim
Charlie Kirk, are trying to drag him across the tiber after his passing. And I think it's a very
sad reason. We don't have leaders. We had a terrible Pope for more than 10 years who was an enemy
of America. I've said on this program before, I thought he was an atheist who joined the seminary
on the orders of his local Communist Party.
But we don't have, our bishops are not leaders.
Right now, the Cardinal Archbishop of Chicago,
Blaise Coupage, is trying to give a lifetime achievement award
to center to Dick Durbin, who supports partial birth abortion,
gay marriage, transgenderism.
He's going to get an award from the Archdiocese of Chicago.
This is what are bishops, the heirs of the apostles.
This is the kind of nonsense they're doing.
So we don't have leaders.
Our Pope, Pope, Pope Leo,
had a real long private meeting with James Martin,
and then he made comments where he said,
I don't think the Catholic Church is going to change its teaching
to approve of homosexuality because the world isn't ready.
Cultural attitudes have to change before a doctrine like that could change.
Wait a minute. What? Yes. The Pope said this?
Yes. I'm thinking of becoming Protestant. Are you serious?
The Pope basically said, look, be patient. We have to change.
attitudes before we can change doctrine. He essentially said that. And if you hang in there,
we'll give adulterers a pass too, because you know what? We're all flawed. So hang in there.
It's all going to be permissible. Just give us a few more years. That's right. So with bishops and
popes like this, no wonder people are like, Charlie Kirk was almost Catholic. You know who's almost
Catholic? Pope Leo is almost Catholic. He's just about this far away from being actually Catholic.
But that's a big deal if you're actually the Pope.
It's like, oh, come on, the guy flying the airplane only took a loop, only to one hit of LSD.
I'm sure we're going to land fine.
You know, here's bad news for my Catholic friends, but Philanari O'Connor on her deathbed became a Pentecostal.
A lot of people don't know that.
A lot of people don't know that.
A little known fact.
So I would like to apologize.
I would like to apologize to the Kirk family and all Kirk's friends.
half of my fellow Catholics who are trying to body snatch Charlie Kirk and drag him across the tiber.
I'm sorry. It's been very bad taste.
Well, I have to say that I am, you know, like Charlie, I am a very pro-Catholic, non-Catholic.
And I am tremendously dismayed by this Pope hanging out with Father James Martin.
And, I mean, not far where we live here in Manhattan, there's a church.
and they've got a little rainbow banner, Jubilee thing going on.
And I thought, this is bad.
This is the Catholic Church.
And I'm going to bring it up with Cardinal Egan when I see him next week.
Dolan, I'm sorry, Egan.
Cardinal Dolan, I'll see him next week.
I'm going to have to bring it up with Cardinal Dolan.
Got to ask him about this.
We're out of time.
John Smirak, thank you so much, my friend.
Thank you.
