Welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show.
We'll get you from point A to point B.
But if you're looking for point C, well, buddy, you're on your own.
But if you'll wait right here in just about two minutes,
the bus to point C will be coming right by.
And now here's your Ralph Cramden of the airways,
Eric Mattaxas.
Hey there, folks.
Welcome to Monday, August 25th, 2025.
And I don't know where to start.
Where in the world do we start?
Number one, cracker barrel.
Number two, John Bolton, aka the Shaggy DA.
Number three, no murders in Washington, D.C.
That's the insane headline.
That's the man lands on moon headline.
No murders in Washington, D.C. for over a week.
Zoran Mamdani running for mayor, a communist Jew-hating, smiling lunatic running for mayor.
Cannot bench press 135 pounds.
That's the headline, not the communist Jew-hating part.
We just shrug at that.
We also have to talk about the passing of the legend, the hero, Jim Dobson, James,
James, Dr. James Dobson.
We're going to talk about all of these things today.
And we're going to talk about, well, we have a great week.
This week we're bringing back some of you know L.A. Marzuli.
He has written many books on unidentified flying objects.
Nephilim, Nephilim, Nephilim.
We're going to be talking to him this week.
Obviously, going to be talking to John's Mirror,
because we talk to him every week because it's in our contract.
Later today, I'm going to bring on Rod Martin or Roger Kimball.
We haven't really figured it out yet.
Actually, no, I think we have to talk to Rod Martin is today.
Rod Martin is an amazing man.
I was following him on X.
And I don't know, if you have X, if you're on Twitter,
I always say to people,
one of the main reasons to be on Twitter
is to get like a news service
because I don't know what you do
in the morning I wake up and I read the papers
except I no longer read the papers
I cancel the New York Times
I canceled the Wall Street Journal even
what do I read
well we get the Epic Times which is great
but for news
where do I go
well more than anything now
I go to X. Why? Because when I'm on
X, I can follow those I want to follow. And whom do I follow on X? Well, you name it, all the good guys,
all the heroes. And I can read what they say is going on as opposed to what, you know,
the leftist New York Times or Washington Post or NBC or ABC or whatever. So in the process of
being on X, I bumped into Rod Martin. He was kind of suggested for me, because
Some of you know on X, you can either click on the people you follow directly or you can let X suggest stuff for you based on, you know, whatever.
And so I look at both.
And Rod Martin, and I don't want to say this when he's on the program, so I'm saying it now and he'll be on this program later.
He is one of the heroes.
He's amazing.
His insight into what's going on, absolutely brilliant, Rod Martin.
So you can look him up.
But it's one of the joys that I have in doing this program is to promote people that I think are worth promoting, people that you might not know about.
Obviously, John Smirak at the top of the list, Jim Kuntler, the folks that we tend to have on regularly, really just delightful people.
And in that list is my friend, Keech, is my friend, Keelew.
Keith Jinta. Keith, welcome to today's program. Good morning. You're on that list and you're the
humblest of the mall. You're kind of like, ah, who? Me? I'm an idiot. Right. Well, the humility pushes
you even higher on the list, my friend. So we have you, Keith Jinta. And of course, Chris Himes here
to talk with us about the news of the day. So I mentioned all these things. I guess let me,
let me throw out the first one. I did a post. I, because
I'm so busy writing my book in the American Revolution, I'm not doing much on social media,
but the other day I kind of had to do a post about the cracker barrel controversy.
And that post on my Instagram account has gone pretty crazy.
I compare, well, I make the larger observation that now there are people, I know that there
are people listening to this program.
And I know Keith and Chris and many of the listeners.
listeners to the show probably can't believe this is true, but that there are people listening
to this program right now who don't know what happened with Cracker Barrel. They don't follow the
news the way we do. So I guess it's our job to tell them. So I don't know, Chris, do you, do you
Yeah, I was a marketing major. Good, bad news? Yeah, I was a marketing major. You know, I got this
thing with brands and logos and slogans. Sometimes corporations want to shake things up and kind of
take what they think is the old brand and give it a relaunch, give it a, you know, a glow up or
makeover. And that's what happened with Cracker Barrow. They got some, you know, some smart,
some smart lady with glasses who's running the show over there, or at least she thinks she's smart.
And she led this rebrand of Cracker Barrow where basically the insides are now like a chip and
Joanna nightmare where there's shiplap everywhere. Everything's white instead of the, you know,
instead of the dark wood.
And then the logo, which had sort of the, you know,
the nice neighbor from next door,
the old-timey guy on the barrel.
He's been, I don't know where he is,
but he's been sent away.
He's been removed, he's been scrubbed.
He might be in a nursing home.
Look, look, let's, let me, let me,
you're being almost too generous in this description.
So I'm going to cut to the chase.
It's been an uproar.
I want to, yeah, but I want to cut to the chase.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Cracker Barrel has been wokeified.
This woman, a progressive young woman, of course, of course.
Like, who else would they get?
Like, oh, she's young and hip.
She'll know how to take our stock to zero.
So they give her the reins.
And this woman very foolishly basically says the traditional, wonderful Americana brand of Cracker Barrel.
Oh, I don't know.
maybe that's a little racist.
Let's get rid of the old man on their logo.
Because we don't like old men.
You know, and let's replace, it's like replacing Colonel Sanders with Dylan Mulvaney.
It's like that'll work for the young people.
Let's get rid of Colonel Sanders.
He's old and white.
And let's replace him with Dylan Mulvaney or I don't know, like anybody who we think
his hip or even better, how about no person? Because people can be offensive and why get yourself
attached to a person. So we're just going to swap him. We're going to swab him out of the picture
and the barrel, as in cracker barrel, let's get rid of the barrel because barrels really point
to another era. And a lot of people of color were, you know, lifting those barrels. And it's just, it's
just not what we want to live in a world that's like digital and progressive and positive. And so we're
going to get rid of the barrel. We'll get rid of the old guy. So they did a rebrand, but it wasn't just
the rebrand of the logo because it's not like the logo was anything special, but it was like this
traditional looking logo that evokes something of an older time. Well, if you hate American history,
you don't like the past. You don't like tradition. You're like Michelle Obama or whatever. So if you
If you really think about it, cracker barrel in their logo got rid of the barrel and the cracker.
That's the joke, right?
So, but what's interesting is, as Chris was just saying, they also refurbished the interior
so that it used to have, look, it doesn't mean that it couldn't have been refurbished.
It doesn't mean that it couldn't have been, you know, updated in a positive way, not updated in terms of chronological time,
just like refreshed or whatever.
But what they did was just, they kind of made it look like, you know, we don't like
our hokey past and we want a more progressive, clean future.
And so basically the uproar has been unbelievable.
I recommended do not go to crack or barrel.
Let their stock go to zero.
Let them learn from their mistake before we go back.
All right.
We'll be right back with more on these and other glorious countries.

only while supplies last.
Welcome back, folks.
We're talking about the Cracker Barrel Debacle.
No one has used that phrase until just now.
I just did.
You feel free to use it.
The Cracker Barrel Debacle.
The Cracker Barrel Debacle of the so-called rebranding of Cracker Barrel,
which basically says, we're ashamed of our past.
The past of America is probably racist, so we're just going to get rid of it and move on.
Most Americans are offended by that.
I don't think of like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and Orville Redenbocker as racist.
Okay.
Don't you think the Cracker Barrel guy is probably off somewhere, like in a little cabin with like the Antimima dude and Mrs.
Mr. Potato Head.
Yeah.
No, sorry, the Antiamima woman and the Uncle Ben's guy.
Right.
Right.
There's like a nursing home of canceled mascot.
It's problematic.
We're going to do a sketch comedy based on that.
In fact, probably, yes, and I'll probably doing one already.
But anyway, the point is that the backlash, here's the good news.
The good news is that the backlash has been extraordinary.
People have been up in arms.
Now, you guys remember, the two of you are close enough to my age to remember the New Coke
controversy.
This is what, like 30 years ago more?
35 years ago, when Coke decided, you know what, we want to like refresh our brand and we're
going to do something else. We're going to develop something called New Coke, which is just
unbelievably stupid. It's like saying, you know, the numbers 1 through 10? We've been using them for a
long time. Can we get another set of numbers? Like, what do you think? Like, yeah, they've been working,
but maybe we could do something better. Well, New Coke, whatever they did, the backlash was gigantic.
and it was like one of these humiliating corporate misadventures.
That's what you have here.
But it reflects the larger trend.
That's why we're talking about it.
The larger trend is to say past bad, American tradition bad.
Everybody in America, you know, with a brain, says that's wrong.
We love our history.
If there's bad stuff in our history, what we love about our history is that we tried to make it right.
Like remember slavery in our history?
Yeah, we fought a war.
700,000 white guys died in a war to eradicate slavery. Slavery was eradicated. So we have a positive view of our progress through history. We like our history. So most of America, the reason they went to Cracker Barrel was specifically because it reminded them of an America that they feel is going away. And it was part of keeping that America alive.
So I have to say, well, my final observation, what I say in my ex post is that this fits along the lines.
And most of you already know this.
The story of America, really, or we've seen this over and over, is experts, so-called experts saying, we know better and we're going to decide for you.
that's not the way representative democracy works.
That's not the way the free market is supposed to work.
The way the free market is supposed to work is we get to choose what we like
and that those products get made more and quality increases.
That's the way it's supposed to work if we choose correctly.
If we choose our representatives correctly, they represent what we want.
If you don't believe in that, if you don't believe in representative democracy,
and the republic that we have, you believe in the kind of European globalist model where
unelected, usually childless experts, they choose for us. They decide what our future and the future
of our children and grandchildren will be. And they say, we are going to do these things and we
don't care what you think. And so they bring about typically a leftist, culturally Marxist,
atheistic, globalist
set of values
to replace
the old-fashioned values
which ought to be based
on the Bible and on and on and on.
And that's exactly what happened to crack a barrel.
Apparently, there's a guy on the board
who has a DEI background
where he's a consultant for other companies
becoming DEI compliance.
So there's some speculation
that he may be behind the sanitization
and the desecration.
I don't know, maybe that's too strong a word.
I mean, that's definitely too strong a word.
Go ahead and use it.
Who cares?
Yeah, I mean, it's like, you know, part of the thing, too,
it's like, did they ask anybody their opinion on the brand?
Like, I know they're also talking about maybe trying to scale back the front part of the
house with the kind of the old-timey general store.
They probably asked five drag queens.
And the drag queens were like from different parts.
of the country, and some of them were drag queens of color.
So that's their idea of diversity.
And so they asked them what they thought.
Apparently this guy, DeVia, who they're calling out,
he, from 2003 to 2010, he was the vice president for global diversity
and multicultural market development at the Walt Disney Company.
Oh, oh, dag.
Yeah, and I saw a fake resume online of a guy who was pretending to be behind the Cracker Barrel
branding thing. And he's like formerly worked on Bud Light. And before that, he worked at, you know,
Disney and all these other places. It was very funny. That's funny. Now, are they still going to be
the home of the 4,000 calorie breakfast? Are they worried about the health of Americans or no one is
no one is going to eat there anymore. They're going to go bankrupt. They have been cursed. Like when
Jesus cursed the fig tree, you're dead. And when I come back tomorrow, we'll see proof. No, listen, when you,
I think the good news here, this is the good news, is that there's enough life in America for pushback.
And so when Target went full on satanic pro, you know, transition your kids behind your back,
there was a backlash against Target.
When Disney did that, there has been a huge backlash against Disney.
Even Snoop Dog.
This is how you know we're in a golden era.
Snoop Dog came on some show the other day and said he brought his grandchild, who calls him Papa Snoop,
brought him to see a Disney film which basically said two women had a baby.
And Snoop's grandchild said, Papa Snoop, I don't get it.
Two women cannot have a baby.
well, the kid has not been properly educated.
Of course, to women somehow, yes, right?
So we're at a point where the pushback is from everywhere.
Everyone has had enough.
Praise the Lord.
And so Cracker Barrel needs to learn its lesson.
And anytime anybody tries to push anything like this on us, we're going to push
very, very hard.
So, again, my advice is if you can avoid Cracker Barrel,
barrel, definitely avoid cracker barrel, because they have proved on a corporate level,
they have contempt for you.
They have contempt for your values.
They think you're on the way out and they want to reach into the future.
They want to be modern.
Yeah.
They want to be modern.
And the whole point is that it was vintage and nostalgic.
It's like it's like footlockter deciding to sell just gloves and get rid of the shoes.
You know, it's like, what?
Yeah.
Nobody's going to go to footlocker to buy gloves.
What's wrong with you?
You guys, you know, did you hit your head?
Well, again, we have to understand that they have contempt.
Corporate America, which is basically woke, globalist, anti-Christian, anti-America.
They really believe that's the future.
They're dumb enough to think that's the future.
And they have contempt for you.
Yes.
And your values.
And what they're doing is they're saying, we can use our power to steer you away from
those values.
And that's what they try to do over and over and over again.
And if you don't push back, they get away with it.
In Europe, they've been getting away with it because they don't have the rebellious spirit that we have in America that says, wait a minute.
Well, we the people get to decide this kind of stuff.
So it's woke experts.
They're always experts.
It's like the experts that have taken over public education in America.
We know better than the parents.
We're going to indoctrinate your kids with all kinds of values and crazy stuff that you wouldn't want to teach them.
But we don't care what you want just because your taxpayers are paying for the school.
We don't care.
We're going to do what we want.
If you don't push back at the school board level and everywhere, these so-called experts,
the sophisticated experts and elites, they want to take over.
And so the Cracker Barrel debacle is the latest example of this.
The pushback really has been.
But I don't want to over-analyze it, but we're doing a fantastic job.
But I am thinking a little bit of our friend Andrew Claven, who always rightly says,
the globalists and the leftists and the Marxists and the progressives have no sense of beauty.
They have no sense of architecture.
They have no sense of ingenuity.
And so, Chris, you just said Americana was embodied in that logo.
They despise that.
They don't want to have anything that communicates other than this sterile, sanitized.
That logo, the new logo looks like AI probably did it in a half nanosecond.
And there's nothing, it communicates nothing.
And I think the more we don't push back, Eric, like you're saying, that's their goal.
They want to make America look like Europe, look like Australia.
We don't want any distinctions.
And it's horrible.
And look, we've effectively let them get away with it for, you know, like 100 years, basically.
It's like we're finally pushing back.
We'll be right back, folks.
Don't go.
We're going to talk about John Bolton and his mustache.
Yes, he now has a mustache.
It's Monday.
We're talking about the news, the hot news.
We're going to bring on our friend Rod Martin in a few minutes.
But we have to go to Jim, James.
I'm sorry, James.
John Bolton.
All right.
As a segue, Eric, I'd like to say we were talking about the Cracker Barrel logo
and the Cracker Barrel guy.
It is indeed true.
I've never seen John Bolton and the Cracker Barrel guy in the same location.
nor Wilford Brimley.
Correct.
Yeah, Wilford Brimley and John Bolton could be the same guy.
So John Bolton, let's sum up.
He is a neocon, sort of conservative who despises Donald Trump.
In 2020, he wrote a book basically trashing Donald Trump.
Now, Bolton was in the first Trump administration.
So he in 2020 writes a book filled with, you know, nasty anti-Trump stuff, hoping to get Joe Biden elected.
In the book that John Bolton wrote, there was a lot of stuff, and Mark Levine spoke about this last night.
There was a lot of stuff in the book that our government under the Trump administration said,
was classified material and could not appear in the book.
And so they attempted to have the book, you know, publication slowed until they got that out.
John Bolton basically said, I don't care.
What are you going to do?
Sue me.
Biden's going to get elected.
He publishes the book.
So now the other day, the FBI came to his home.
It was not really a raid, but they came to his home with a warrant.
they came in and they took, it looks like boxes of documents and stuff. So of course, the left
and the never-Trump pseudo-Republicans are out of their minds upset. How can we do this? How can
this happen in America? This is clearly retribution. And you think, were you, were you not alive
when 40 FBI folks and a SWAT team and I don't know, what was it like?
It was literally like 12 vehicles pulled up at my friend Roger Stone's house.
You missed that?
Did you miss that?
Did you miss it when all kinds of other people were treated poorly?
How about when they made the president of the United States Donald Trump get his mugshot taken?
remember that? I mean, the idea that they're now like saying, oh, this is retribution. Now, I got to say,
like I, Eric Metaxis, and I've said this, I'm not for retribution. I am for justice.
But if you hate justice, justice will look to you like retribution. But if we do not deal fairly
with what has happened in our country, we have no country. So I think many of us are happy that
finally the FBI said, okay, now we can begin.
this process of justice. And it is about justice. But again, there are people on the left.
They don't even believe in the concept of justice. They just believe in like, we're right and we need
to get power back so we can enforce what we think is right. They don't believe in some objective
standard of justice. But John Bolton, you know, may well be in trouble. And it's my guess,
and I don't know what you guys think, but it's my guess that the FBI would not do anything like this.
This is under Cash Patel and Dan Bongino.
unless they had the goods.
And I think that they have, by doing this now,
by beginning this actual process,
I said in my ex post,
they pulled the pin on the grenade.
It's like now it's happening.
And other people will be arrested.
Other people will have a process has been initiated.
And I think that it's,
it's just glorious that we get to see we pay the FBI folks in case you were unaware you pay when you
work and make money when you sweat your money goes to pay via taxes the FBI to do their job
they hadn't been doing their job under their corrupt leadership but by God's grace they're doing
their job and so what happened to both in the other day again we don't even know the details
it's going to be coming out, we hope.
But I just think, what a wonderful thing,
finally to see something like this.
Yeah, he did a book about his time,
kind of a, you know,
aering of grievances,
sort of bagging on Trump, you know, in his time there.
And there was some questions about, I guess,
I don't know, I mean,
I know the Biden administration had brought up charges
against him while they were in office,
and it sort of went away.
So there's questions about what was, you know,
what was in the book, what was maybe top secret?
Well, the point is that there was a criminal investigation.
Yeah.
And when Biden got into office, they shut it down without an explanation.
So not providing an explanation for shutting down a criminal investigation into something
that concerns national security, that's a big thing right there.
Why did they shut it down? Can you give us an explanation? They did not. So that looks like corruption.
That looks like retribution on the Biden administration's part against Donald Trump. It's like,
okay, there was this thing going on which might exonerate you. We don't like that. So we're just
going to shut that down. So that is an abrogation of our system of justice. And so that's just a big deal.
Anyway, so stay tuned on that.
When we come back, folks, we're going to talk about Dr. James Dobson.
We're going to talk about the communist Jew-hating Democrat running for mayor in New York City.
And we're going to talk about the fact that there are no murders in New York City.
That's the big news.
That's the crazy news.
We'll be right back.
Hey, there, folks.
Welcome back.
At the end of the last segment, I misspoke.
I said there had been no murders in New York City.
I meant, of course, Washington, D.C.
And what's the difference between New York City and Washington, D.C.?
Oh, I don't know.
Maybe it's the fact that Donald Trump said, we are going to send in the National Guard,
because we think murder is a bad thing.
And people who are murdered and their families, they would love it if we somehow legally
could help them out.
And so Donald Trump has done this in D.C.
and of course the left, the pro-crime anti-Trump left, has been going crazy and saying what?
This is tyranny.
This is fascism.
This is Donald Trump being an authoritarian.
Now, folks, you got to understand there's a good side of what looks like authoritarianism but actually isn't authoritarianism.
In other words, when a president uses his power legally,
that can be a good thing.
That's not always authoritarian,
but they think anything Trump does for good or for ill,
whether it's killing people or preventing people from being killed,
it's authoritarian, it's out of line, we have to stop it.
But actually what it is,
it's an embarrassment to the mayor of D.C.
who, like all of the blue state or blue city mayors,
has overseen a horror of crime and misery,
quality of life going down into the tank.
It's an embarrassment to them.
And so they have to kind of beat their chest and say,
hey, we're in charge here and we don't need you,
big bad Donald Trump, to come in and to wreck a good,
that we had a good thing going.
Or maybe it was a terrible thing going,
but it was our thing and we don't like you coming in and fixing it,
where the people in D.C., you actually live there, the people who are being murdered,
they love it.
So the question is only whether Donald Trump has overstepped his bounds.
And I haven't seen any evidence.
And I don't know if you, Keith or you, Chris, have seen any evidence that he's doing anything
that he is not legally obliged or legally allowed to do.
No, absolutely.
Absolutely. This is what the president not only is tasked to do. It's what we elected him to do.
And the question, Eric, I always ask myself, why does the left seem to love chaos, crime, sin, lying, deception? Why? It doesn't make any sense.
So you'll hear the big pushback right now is that, oh, crime is at its lowest point in 10 years, indeed.
DC. There's no reason for the president to do this. But if you just pull back one layer, one page in that book, they've stopped tracking many of the violent crimes. They don't show up in the statistics. For example, felony assault was no longer included with the crime statistics in DC. Why would why would anyone do that? Is that really for political gain? Or do they just hate
God. They hate an ordered civilization. They are so, they are so intent on holding on to their own
sin that they want sin to reign all around them. It's really quite a question to ask why anyone
would object to this. Well, I think, let's put it this way. Let's say they weren't doctoring the
numbers. Let's say crime had been going down. What they don't
tell you is crime was so high that even if it was going down, it was still terrible. It's kind of like
saying, like, in my neighborhood, 10 people used to be raped and murdered every year, but this
year it is nine. So leave us alone. We're trending downward. And somebody who come in and say,
like, so you think nine rapes and murders a year is okay, and we should leave you alone. We believe
we could get it down to one or zero. And you have a problem with that? And not,
Not only that, but Trump is doing it legally.
And this is what I find so fascinating is that they pretend, they don't give you facts on how he's overstepping his bounds because he's not.
And they can't.
But they just, by innuendo, they call him a fascist.
They say he's authoritarian.
They say he's, you know.
And you think, look, if John Gotti or some cartel leader were doing this and reducing murders,
Yeah, I would have a problem with that.
I would like the results, but I would have a problem with who's doing it because he doesn't have the authority to do it.
And so, yes, the process matters, legality matters.
These things matter.
So it's not enough that he's doing a good thing.
But show me how he doesn't have the right to do this.
It's one thing to say we don't like, I mean, what is their big argument?
Their big argument is we don't like the federal, we don't like the federal government getting involved in our local, in our, in our, they don't like the federal government getting involved in the city's business.
Okay, that's legitimate.
You don't like it.
So tell me, does the federal government have a right to do this?
They don't seem to be able to show that Trump has done anything wrong.
They just don't like it.
And again, they don't like it because it's very, very, very embarrassing to them.
Imagine, think of all of the black residents of Washington, D.C., who are cheering,
cheering that their families are being protected.
What a bad look that is for Mayor Bowser.
You know, these mayors are horrible.
Yeah, those citizens, Eric, though, they did not get the memo that violence is a social construct.
You know, it's just violence is just a social construct.
construct as our new or about to be new mayor, God forbid, would suggest.
We just got a minute left here. I don't want to forget. Mayor, a mayor, Dr. James Dobson,
whom I had the great privilege of knowing in the last 10 or so years, I was on his program many,
many times. He passed away. I think it was last Friday or Thursday. It was surprising. I was expecting
no joke to see him in a week and a half. He has an event every year in Colorado Springs. I am one of
the speakers. I was really looking forward to seeing Dr. Dobson. And so it was a big surprise to hear
that he had gone to glory.
But he, when we come back, I'll give you more details.
He was one of the heroes.
One of the heroes.
Dr. James Dobson, one of the great heroes, my privilege to know him.
I praise God for him, for his legacy.
Many, many, many lives.
Millions of lives were touched in a positive way because of Dr.
Dobson.
So when we come back, we'll talk more about him and other things.
Welcome back, folks.
before we go to our guest finally, just to finish up on Dr. Dobson, Jim Dobson was a great hero. Now, why was he a
hero? He was a hero because he took his Christian faith into the public sphere, and he was not
afraid to take his Christian faith into the realm of politics, if necessary. He got a lot of
criticism for that. I think there are many people on the board of,
of focus on the family, which he created, of course, who said, oh, you know, you're being too
political and we just want to, you know, preach the gospel or something like that. There were all
kinds of people who didn't like that, but he understood correctly that our Christian faith
needs to be lived out in every sphere. And of course, this is something which has become the center
of my life in my book letter to the American Church. I make the case for that in the sequel,
religiousist Christianity. I expand on that. I've talked about it all over the country because it's true.
And because the Christian church has gotten off and has gotten confused and said, well, we don't want
that kind of culture war stuff. You know, Pat Robertson and Jim Dobson and, you know, they're too
political and Jerry Falwell. We just want to, you know, we just want to get rid of that old Cracker Barrel logo.
move into the clean future with no people and no barrels and none of that traditional family stuff.
And guess what? Most people know, no, that's not good. The family is the most important thing.
And sometimes you have to advocate for the family and the public square and physical values and family values.
Yeah, and also advocate for, I don't know, having children, which that's going to be a problem, too,
when we sort of breed ourselves out of existence on this planet because that's also now frowned upon.
Yeah, we're going to have a, you know, population of, of, of cat ladies with, you know, with rainbow hair.
It's not, it's not good.
It's not good.
So the family is central, you know, to everything.
And Dr. Dobson was an advocate of the family and of family values.
But it's interesting to me how just like this Cracker Barrel contract,
He got criticism from people who said, oh, we don't like that look.
We don't like the look of old white guys telling us how to live or that we should discipline
our children or that a gay marriage can't exist because marriage is between a man and a woman
fundamentally.
We don't like that.
And we want to stay out of those icky controversies.
And Dobson was right and they were wrong.
and that's simply going to be proved over and over again because you can't bet against the house, folks.
Reality created by God, male and female created by God in his image, families, which are the blessing God gives us.
You can't bet against that.
And if you bet against that, eventually you lose.
And so Dr. Dobson was just one of the great heroes of the 20th century and the 21st century.
And so we praise God for him.
He ran the race and he is in glory.
And we are just, I'm just so grateful for him.
And I feel so honored that I knew him and that he knew me.
And I just think, my goodness, what a huge gift from God that was for me.
What is the event you're going to speak at that was a private event?
I can't talk about it.
It's a private event.
Okay.
If I was not invited, I couldn't even go.
So, yeah, it's one of those things.
But yeah, he does an annual.
It's like a fundraising event.
So it's every year in Colorado where he lived.
But it's just, you know, his legacy, Jim Dobson, one of the greats, one of the absolute
greats.
And so I feel just tremendously honored.
All right.
When we come back, folks, I'll be talking to Rod Martin about everything.
Rod Martin is just one of the great voices we have today.
And so in hour two for the entirety of hour two, we're talking to Rod Martin.
Don't go away.
