I continue my conversation with my pastor and friend David Englehart, the pastor of King's Church here in New York City. So you had a prophetic dream eight years ago.

someone in your congregation had a prophetic dream recently. And you made that a part of this film, Beauty, and the Beast. So in the dream, you just said that this woman in your church says, and she's in the film, that in the dream, Kamala won the election, immigration sky rockets. Like, it's already insane. So this is really sick. And you said, then Russia declares war on the United States. Now, I want to say I read yesterday, yesterday, Sunday, I read that this could actually happen.

In other words, if Israel, I think the evil people in the Kamala Biden administration leaked the information from Israel about Israel wanting to attack Iran's nuclear capabilities, Russia is ready to step in. this, I mean, ladies and gentlemen, imagine that what I'm saying is no exaggeration. We could be on the verge of World War III, no exaggeration. So in this dream, and now a prophetic dream doesn't mean it's going to happen. This is sort of like God speaking. That's right. So in the dream, this actually happens. Because I saw some comments on some of our past stuff.

Oh, you're wrong. This is not going to happen. Yeah. God gives warnings. God tells people things that he doesn't want to happen so people will engage. age. There's a story where Paul goes, he's on a, he's a prisoner or he's going to Rome and he says, I perceive that the ship is going to go down and we're all going to die. And then later, they don't all die. The ship does go down and they get sent to the, and they make it to the island.

And so. Okay, parentheses, do you know what island we're talking about? Troyes? No. Everybody thinks it's Malta. It's not. It's Cephalonia. It's the island where my family's from. I spoke about it a few months ago on the program. I've written about it or I'm going to write about it. That's neither here nor there. But I just want to say parenthetically, we're talking about cephalonia, where the tomb of Odysseus is, all that stuff. But you're making a point. Was Paul a false prophet? Right. So Paul hears from God that you're going to lose the whole ship, but then it turns out no. That's right. You're going to lose all the lives and the ship, and it turns out no. It turns out they lose zero lives. But the Lord spoke to him again and said,

you're not going to lose a single soul. That's right. So this first dream, is a warning from God. That's what I believe it is a warning from God. It's not for sure Russians are going to invade. But if Christians don't engage, it's possible. If 32 million Christians say, listen, I don't want to get my hands dirty here. You know, it's not, we're not talking about, listen, Zambia is going to attack us. We're not talking outside of the realm of political possibility of the things that are on the table right now. And so Rosa's dream ends the film in part because I'm speaking, the film is speaking directly to the church. I say it in the film. I'm speaking to the church. I want people that are on the fence to be persuaded. Perhaps God is

doing something beautiful here. And if we don't respond to God's kindness and goodness, perhaps chaos and terror will be our portion. And then there's the second part of the dream, which is I sing to the nation, joy to the world, the Lord has come. Now obviously I'm not referring to Trump as the Lord, but I'm referring to a leader that can make a place for God to again come back to a nation. Absolutely can do that. A bully pulpit can do that. Opportunities for the right kinds of Christian leaders, not just people that are playing politics to be lifted up. I've heard Trump say many times when I get back of the nation, when I get back into the White House, religion is coming back into America. God is coming back into America. And you say, oh my gosh, that's brash. That's crazy.

that's who the guy is. The point is he's going to try to implement policies that help open up space not to coerce people because Christianity is not about coercion, but it's about the opportunity to offer our message, the gospel of our Lord and David. And listen, I just want to make clear

because I keep hearing, like, people are upset, you know, that Trump isn't pro-life enough. And I want to say, ladies and gentlemen, if you want a bloodbath of murdered infants in the womb, if Kamala Harris gets in, you have no idea. You have no idea. I mean, I'm astonished that people don't understand that this is the most bloodthirsty administration.

She, I don't know if I said this on the air recently. She prosecuted somebody who's been on this program sitting in the seat where you are right now, David Delighton. She tried to put him in jail. He's a pro-life activist. Kamala Harris tried to put him in jail because he did journalism exposing Planned Parenthood as trading in murdered baby parts, selling.

This is true. This is not made up. He didn't accuse them of it. He had the goods. He had the film. He filmed it undercover. Kamala Harris went after him to put him in jail. He's still fighting, as far as I know.

So you're dealing with this administration that could not conceivably be more pro-abortion. Donald Trump said, I'm going to appoint justices to overturn Roe v. Wade, and he did. And Roe v. Wade was overturned. And I was in Texas yesterday. You cannot have one abortion in Texas. There's no abortions in Texas.

Can you imagine in the state of Texas? The Houston Planned Parenthood facility was one of the most gigantic baby murdering facilities in the world. That's shut down because of Donald Trump keeping his word. And there are people who say, like, well, I don't think I'm going to vote for him because he's not, you know, I'm thinking, oh my gosh, oh my goodness, what world are we living in? I mean, I'm just amazed. Yeah.

And so that's why we need to persuade people. So maybe you're watching this program or listening to this program. You're saying, man, I would really like to persuade people. How can I do that? You know, Jesus has two primary approaches in the Gospels that I see. One is to incredibly extravagantly heal, be gracious with, forgive, love, sit with the sinners, eat with them. And the other one he has is to smash viciously the Pharisees. Destroy them with

absolute... Mike Pence would never do that. That's right. That's right. He's too nice. And so if you're watching this and you're saying, I have people that don't know what to do, perhaps you should say maybe I'll bring them this artistic thing that says, yes, Trump is a beast. That's correct. And yes, America is still beautiful. here's something that may persuade you. Well, it is like a parable.

I mean, it is a parable. It's a story. It's a mythic version of the events. But often art can do that. It can help people. So if you know people that aren't persuaded, that's one of the reasons I was excited about the film because it helps people maybe who don't,

about it. Because, you know, it's kind of like when I had my prophetic dream that brought me to Jesus. I didn't make it up. It's like God speaks. in this amazing way that it really brings tears to your eyes. It's so beautiful. Yeah. So it's kind of amazing that the Lord gave you this dream on the eve of Trump's inaugural.

Wow. And I haven't had any other following that. I haven't had any other dreams. I just felt like in part it was an assignment from God to say, if you share this with my people, it may change their hearts. there may be a transformation like the, you know, the core of the story is that the perception is transformed and you say, oh, I can see now. And that's what Jesus said over and over and over, that, you know, that they have eyes but cannot see. They have ears but cannot hear. And so we're hoping, hey, maybe this picture will help you to see what's going on. It's different.

It's more than politics. It's God trying to preserve a nation that was rooted in Christian. principles that was rooted in godly ideas, that the Puritans were stern and were walking this land through the wilderness to pave away for us to live in a place where it wasn't going to be a perfect place, but it was a place where God would mend thine every flaw. And you and I were on this program, I don't know, over a month ago, talking about fasting and praying for the nation. And I've been sending out emails.

There are churches all over this country that are fasting and praying for this nation. And I am convinced that we have more of a holy remnant of fasting, praying people in this country than we have ever had. That we've been awakened by the nightmare of the last four years. by authoritarian governments, state governments, city governments, the Biden-Harris administration, and that people have been awakened and driven to their knees to pray. And that's what gives me hope for America and for this election in a couple of weeks. So the last part of the beauty and the beast dream is, in my dream, I sing this song, Joy to the World. And this song to the church, hey, it's possible.

that if this plays out rightly, there'll be a place for a revival across America again, a turning back to the God of our fathers, that we would turn back to the God of our forefathers who founded this nation. And in the dream, there was only a small portion that responded, and God only needs a small portion of people that are highly committed to him to fast and pray and turn to him.

The point of the story is not to say, especially Rose's dream and Russian invasion, is not to say we're all going to die. It's to say to the believer, fast and pray, and believe God and call upon God that we would turn from our wicked ways and repent and turn to him. I know, Eric, you've been promoting fasting and prayer. Our church is fasting and praying. We have people throughout the nation fasting and praying. And fasting and prayer has been profound in my own life. Can I tell a couple of professing and prayer stories? They're so wild.

They're hard to believe. The first one, when I first moved to New York City, I started my law practice. We were planning on starting our church right away, but we were broke, and I thought you probably shouldn't start a church completely broke. You should probably kind of get yourself set up so you don't manipulate people and you're not weird. So I was trying to start my law practice. I was having a really hard time getting clients, and I'm reading all the books. I read 50 books on starting your own business. I just did everything I could do.

And then I felt inspired by God. I felt like he impressed upon me. Listen, you can work really hard and you can also call upon me. Let's try that side, right? Throw your net to the other side of the boat. And so I fasted and prayed for seven days. And on the seventh day, I really felt like God said, I've heard your prayer.

It's answered. The next morning, it was a Saturday morning. I'll never forget it. I got a call from, a fellow lawyer, Guy in law school with me. We were one year out. His dad had a case that he wanted to refer to me. He said, Englehart, can you take this case?

I said, sure, what is it? He said, it's a $50 million case in the appellate division courts in New York State on oil and gas investment. The client's already spent $1.2 million in litigation. Can you take this case? And I said, yes, absolutely, I can take the case. The client called me, or I called the client, and said, hey, I'd like to take this case. He said, have you ever had a case before? And I said, no, sir.

He said, have you ever been to the courthouse before? I said, no, sir. And he said, how do I know you can win this case? And I told him why I thought I could win it. And he gave me the case. And I won the case against one of the biggest firms in New York City and a couple of other huge lawyers, a case with $50 million in controversy. What's the point here?

The point is we can do all of the stumping that we can do, right? We can do all of the door knocking, which we need to do, right? We have to do all of those things. But we also have to call upon the Lord God of the universe that can change a nation in a day. Another time I was fasting and praying in that same season. After I got that case, I was hoping for another break in my law practice. It was my own accord. I started fasting.

Again, seven days fast in prayer. No food, only water. Praying, seeking God. And then the next day, I got a call from a friend that was an atheist. He'd been an atheist for years. He called me and he started weeping and saying, my life is falling apart. I said, I have nothing to give you except Jesus. And he said, that's why I'm calling.

Weeping gave his life back to Christ. It's like breakthrough comes by fasting and prayer. I tell you, the church obviously needs to hear this. I need to hear this. We need to be encouraged. It's like the Lord is egging us on. Like, come on, church. I want to do this.

Come on. I want to do this. Help me, help you. Help. It's like Jerry McGre. Help me help you. This is so beautiful. It's like the Lord is cheering us on.

Come on, church. Fast and pray. I want you to have breakthrough. I want to give you the answers. But I want it to be this way. This is how I want to do it. And listen, I want to say, too, there are a lot of Christians, very religious Christians, because my book's called Religion Less Christianity.

So Bonhofer, you know, he's talking about religion as being this kind of negative, fussy thing, right? Like the Pharisees, you know, the worst of the Pharisees. And they're almost happy. It's like, America's under judgment. There's no hope. Don't vote. Don't vote.

Don't bother. We're under judgment. That's the voice of the devil. God says that anything is possible if you pray, if you believe. And the idea that this country could come back to God, a lot of people, that's beyond. their faith. And I'm here to tell you that God is calling us to have that kind of faith. And I've been preaching in different churches and stuff. And I feel God's saying, I say it in the book religionless Christianity, that I believe it's Lord's will that we have a new birth of freedom

and that things could happen in this country that we almost couldn't dream about. That we could have, we could wipe out the corruption in our government, that we could wipe out the corruption in the medical establishment, in Big Pharma, RFK Jr. coming on the team, Elon Musk. coming on the team. Like, this is stuff that we couldn't even dream about a few years ago. We're thinking about voting for Jeb Bush. And we are now at a place where I think this is possible, but things had to get so bad for us to get desperate, that we have to have the specter of Kamala Harris and millions and millions and millions of unvetted illegal immigrants, some of them, hostile Chinese nationals, military age coming across the border. We have to see that.

to finally drive a story and he say, Lord, we need you to intervene. We need you to intervene. Will you please intervene? Have mercy on this nation. Shed your grace on America, America, the beautiful, because we're in a very dark place. One of the things you said was that God is saying, I want to, but will you partner with me? And that's a problem. People think, no, God does what he wants and we don't really have anything to do with it. It's this kind of. kind of Gnostic. It's really a materialistic way to see the world. This is us. It's the material down here. God's on a cloud. He's far away. There's no engagement except the smattering of random miracles. In the book of Daniel, when Daniel turns his face to fast and pray, the angel

immediately responds. The first day, it says the first day you turned your face to fasting and prayer. And there was this 21-day battle between that first day and when he received the final message from God that was the answer, that was the solution. And I think that's what God wants to do. He wants to partner with us. It's his desire to partner with us. And the first day that we turn our face to him, he says, yeah, I want to partner with you. Some Christians will never do this, but they're Christians listening right now who they're going to do this. And I believe it's going to make the difference in this election and in the future of the nation. And that's how God works. It is amazing. It is beautiful.

We only have a minute left, David. What else should we say? Yeah, I think my final appeal is if you're on the team, will you please tell your friends about this story? Whether you show the documentary or not, the people that are on the fence, will you tell this story that, yes, there are beauties and there are beasts. There is Churchill. and there is England, there is Trump, and there is America, but there are times in nations. It's not all the time. It's not every time, but there are punctuated times in the history of mankind where God needs to use people to break through the syrupy deception of political correctness to bring forth truth. And that's what Jesus did to the Pharisees.

That's why he used a baseball bat at the Pharisees, because he was breaking through the political correctness and the guise of righteousness. that they held. Hey there, folks. Welcome back. I now have the fun of speaking with my friend and fellow warrior for the nation and for freedom. Dinesh, DeSouza. Dinesh, welcome back. Eric, it's always a pleasure. Thank you, sir. Congratulations on the film Vindicating Trump.

I know you also have a book out with the same title, Vindicating Trump. For those who didn't hear our previous segment a couple of weeks ago, what is the film and what is the book about? Well, I build the theme around a prophecy that was made by, of all people, Abraham Lincoln, who said that if the country were ever to be distrable, it would not happen from abroad. It wouldn't happen from the outside. It would happen from the inside. And Lincoln predicted that you'd see a rising tide of lawlessness that he said would be manipulated or exploited by an individual or a regime that would use it to subvert our constitutional

republic. Now, there are a lot of people on the left, some Democrats who go, yeah, of course, Lincoln was very prophetic. He was obviously warning us about Donald Trump. And so the question I examine in the book and the film is, yes, the threat of tyranny or dictatorship is real, but is it in fact coming from Trump or is it coming from the left and from the Democrats? It's so funny because that you're speaking about Lincoln's Lyceum speech given to the young men's Lyceum in Springfield. In 1838, I think, or 39, he was a very, very young man. And when I realized, I wrote about it in my book, if you can keep it,

this is when I realized, my goodness, Lincoln was a genius. I mean, he was a very young man. I think he was 28 or something. And he is giving a speech. You think he would, the mature Lincoln would give this, you know, in his 50s. But he's a young man and he is speaking about something that is relevant right now. It's kind of amazing when you think how long ago this is. and this is what, 180 years ago,

and he's speaking about where we are right now. The profanity of Lincoln's speech can be gleaned in a single phrase. He says that this dictatorial power can be used in order to enslave people or to free them. Think about that for a minute. Lincoln is basically saying that it is wrong to use dictatorial power even to do a good thing, even to free slaves. And so in a sense, Lincoln is contemplating in advance

that when the threat of dictatorship comes, he says, it's possible that people could say this about me. He's considering the possibility that he will be accused one day of being a dictator, as indeed he was. You remember Lincoln suspended habeas corpus

at the beginning of the Civil War. What was the charge that was made against him? You're a dictator. When John Wilkes Booth put bullets into Lincoln's head, He jumped on the stage and he shouted, I'm now translating from the Latin, this is what happens to tyrants. So Lincoln was eerily prophetic about his own time, and I think eerily prophetic about our time. You know, it's interesting. I've always thought of Lincoln as a genuinely prophetic figure.

When he, I think it's in his second inaugural, he talks about a new birth of freedom. I think he's speaking prophetically. I think that sometimes God speaks through the mouths of presidents in that way. Jonathan Kahn has written about this, that even if they don't know it, that God is speaking through them prophetically. And it is astonishing that this man, I mean, who would dream in the late 1830s that he would become one of the greatest figures in American history and that he would be speaking in this way? And then, of course, that all these years later we're talking about it.

it because it concerns us now. Somehow we have averted the nightmare that he is worried about in the 1830s. And for people who need the context in the speech, he talks about, you know, he sees the founding generation, the revolution is going away. Those people are no longer around. And that spirit that was there in 1776 and in the people who remembered it and had lived through it, that's going away. And he's basically saying, now what? Will we be able to keep the republic? And it's amazing to me, Dinesh, that we have in effect been able to keep it. But in the last 50 years, it's been drifting away slowly, slowly, slowly. And now we are on this precipice. We're on the verge of losing the republic. I keep saying we're in an existential crisis. It's not just another

election. And that's why it is so important to see who Trump is, to my mind, in God's eyes, in history. He's not just some presidential candidate that he has a role in history. I agree. I think that the deep parallel between Trump and Lincoln is that Lincoln realized in the in the Lyceum speech, as early as the Lyceum speech, that he had the larger than life dimensions to be a dictator, but of course he never wanted to be a dictator. He was very careful even to get rid of slavery by constitutional means. And I think the same can be said of Trump. The reason that the left likes to call him a dictator is not because he is, but because he could be.

He has that kind of power. I said to Trump in a moment while I was interviewing him for the film, I said, you know, they keep saying that you called for an insurrection. And I said, as far as I can see, you didn't do that on January 6th. You don't tell people go in the capital or take over the place or shut down the count or any of that. I said, but guess what? Had you called for an insurrection, there would have been one. and a real one. And there would be one if you called for one now. Do you recognize that you have that kind of power and how do you intend to use it? And you can see Trump, the surprise registers

on his face. You can see the tumblers of his mind working. And the point I want to make is that this is why they use that charge against him, a charge they never used against McCain or Romney, not even Reagan. Trump has the ability to be a dictator, but he doesn't have the desire. That is an amazing observation. I've never heard anyone say that before. When we come back, I want to explore that further. who could pull it off, won't pull it off because he actually believes in America. He actually believes in the Constitution. He actually loves America too much to do a thing like that. That is absolutely fascinating. It's so obvious that the tyrannical threat is coming from the Democrats and not from Trump. Trump has been in office. He didn't do anything dictatorial. In fact, my wife jokes that if he was a dictator, he was the worst dictator in the history of the world because dictators normally control the police agencies of government. Trump didn't. Dictators never voluntarily vacate office, even though Trump thought he won in 2020 when the lawsuits didn't work, he was out of there. Now, if you look at the characteristic sort of tyrannical traits of unfree societies from the old Soviet Union to China to Cuba,

what do they have? Well, they have mass surveillance of citizens. They have systematic censorship. They have criminalization of political differences. They go after dissidents. They have political prisoners. They try to lock up the leader of the opposition party or perhaps even assassinate him. Well, gee, go down the checklist and you see that those tyrannical elements are here in our society, but they're all coming from the left and from the Democrats. Well, this is what's so fascinating. They project, I mean, we've seen this. over and over and over again. They project their own inclinations, their own behavior onto the other side.

And they still, listen, let's be clear, they earnestly believe that January 6th was an insurrection. They earnestly believe that Trump supporters, like you or me or all the grandmothers taking selfies, that in a second we would take up arms if Trump told us to and we would try to take over the government and, you know, cut off Nancy Pelosi. head and put it on a pike and march around the mall.

You know, they really, they act as though this almost happened. And Dinesh, their fury comes from the fact that they genuinely believe this. I mean, they've whipped themselves up into believing that that's who we are, that's who Trump is. You and I would be the first ones to denounce that kind of behavior. So we're living in such a divided country because they really believe that's who he is. You're quite right that if you start with a false premise, then even a lot of the things that the Democrats do would be justified if the premise were true. So let's take the premise that Trump is Hitler, circa 1933. Well, in that case, for the other side to do all measures that they could, from lying to manipulating the system, unleveling the playing field, digital censorship, perhaps even assassination attempts, would be warranted.

because, of course, they'd be stopping Hitler before he could do far, far worse. The problem is that their premise is not only wrong but delusional, and they have lulled themselves into accepting the premise, and so all kinds of not just bad but horrific behavior is now being condoned on their part. I mean, think about it this way. Think of all the assassinations and assassination attempts in U.S. history, right? Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.

So was JFK. There was an assassination attempt against Teddy Roosevelt. that almost worked. John Hinkley tried to kill Reagan. But in none of those cases, not one, was there eight years of uninterrupted vilification by the opposition party that in a sense was creating

the logical justification for assassination by saying, this guy's a mortal threat to the country, he's an existential danger to the republic, he will subvert democracy, i.e., it would be good if someone tried to take this guy out. Well, look, you made the film a few years ago, 2000 Mules. I'm in the film. Do you have a sense that the left will succeed on any level in stealing this election? Because it does seem that Kamala Harris has performed so extremely poorly, so shockingly badly, that it would seem that common sense would dictate that Trump would win in a landslide. What is your sense of what we're going to see in two weeks?

The left cannot do 2,000 mules anymore. If mules started showing up at 3 a.m. With backpacks full of ballots, there'll be patriots watching for them. They'll be Republican lawyers ready for that. They're going to have to figure out a new way to cheat. In the new film and book, I have a section called the ballot makers,

which looks at a new type of vulnerability in our election system. And there might be others as well. So I don't put anything past these guys. I think as they get more desperate, they will try anything. But on the other hand, I'm much more optimistic than I was in 2020. I think that the level of awareness is very high. You might have seen there have been a few anomalous episodes around the country already,

and Republicans have pounced on them immediately, demanded accountability. That's the kind of vigilance that our side is not used to, but is exercising now, and I think it's all to the good. And what is your hope for the film? We just have a minute left, but what's your hope for the film and the book Vindicating Trump? I want at this point patriots and conservatives to see it. Of course, if you have a Democratic relative, I'd suggest buying their ticket and taking them out to dinner afterward. And I'm going to figure out a way to get this film to tens of millions of people, because I think it is a defense,

not just of Trump's policies, which I think most people recognize are better than the ones we've been having lately, but also of Trump's character. It's the character attack on Trump that I think really needs to be pushed back, particularly by the way, a character attack from some Christians, who sometimes think they have a character that is somehow superior to Trump's. I assure them that's not the case, and I make the argument both in the book and in the film. Well, yeah, that's the worst of it, and that's where, as I speak around the country, I am just so horrified to see Christians who somehow, they really, their understanding of the Christian faith is deeply flawed, there's heresy in it,

and they think it would be fine not to vote, and to allow the evil of a Harris-Walls administration to come on board. They have no idea how they will lose their freedoms. They have no idea how they will see all the things that the left project that Trump would do. That will happen with Blitzkrieg speed. And there are many Christians who still don't understand. They have a duty before God to vote. Dinesh, great to see you.

So, yeah, so today and then we just talked to Dinesh D'Souza. I don't know if I, I don't think I mentioned this. So on my trip, yesterday, I was in Frisco, Texas at Elevate Church. You did not mention this and I'm excited. If this is going more, I think it's going. The pastor. You know, I got to tell you, there are times, when you know God is in something, when I was there yesterday to elevate church, I knew God is in this church.

And, you know, not every church is for everybody. Everybody has a different style. Like I like this kind of worship. I like this kind of da-da-da-da-da. But this church, honestly, at the end of my sermon, he says to me, no, don't leave the stage. And he gives me, I mean, I can't do it justice.

He gives me a gigantic, gorgeous sword. An actual metal, brave heart type sword. No kidding. Yeah. And we're having a chip because I don't think TSA would be too pleased. Yeah. But I got to tell you, it was a very moving experience. He really was speaking prophetically over me.

And this is Pastor Keith Kraft at Elevate Church in Frisco. And I understand, I think I said earlier, that there's an Elevate Church in Wallingford, Connecticut. I can't wait to check that out. We need those kind of churches in Connecticut. All right. So, coming up on the program.
