Anyway, here's the guy who's not always that easy to digest. Eric the Texas! Hey there, folks. Welcome back. In case you didn't know, there's a film, it's called The Hill, and it's starring Dennis

Quaid. I don't know what more you need to know. It's starring Dennis Quaid's in 1,500 screens across the country. That's a lot. we have the director of this film of the Hill with us, Jeff Chalendano. Did I pronounce it close? Celentano. Celentano.

Hey, Chelendano. You grew up in New Jersey, correct? I did. Okay. So that's why you got a name like Chelendano. You know, that's just, it's an Italian name. But you... I want to ask you, this is a film about...

You grew up in a small town, in a small rural town. in New Jersey. A lot of people don't know that those exist, but they certainly do, if you know, the state of New Jersey. But this is a film about someone who grew up in a rural town, small town in Texas, and his name is Ricky Hill. That's why the film is called The Hill. And again, it's starring Dennis Quaid as the father of this athlete, Ricky Hill. But I just kind of ask you right out of the gate, Jeff, how did you find your way to directing this story? Because this is a story that I had not heard until I heard about this film. Yeah.

Well, none of us heard about this story. Ricky was an obscure guy who had never really told many people about his story. Dennis Quaid, when I hired him to play Ricky's father, said, I just read the script. Is this true? Did this kid really do this? This is like a miracle. I said, yeah, he did the impossible. And he said, how come I've never heard of this story?

And I said, well, there's so many stories out there nobody's ever heard of. And so that's why we're telling this one. It needs to be on the big screen. So my brother was in a hotel room, sorry, in a hotel lobby, and he was talking to somebody in a meeting, and he overheard Ricky next to him, the real Ricky Hill, talking about his life story and how he couldn't find a director that he liked. He had been through like 40 directors, and he never felt they had the right honesty and heart for the film. And my brother leaned over and said, excuse me, sir, once he was off the phone. This is my brother on the phone. He's your director. Talk to him. And Ricky was like, my brother's very aggressive. And Ricky talked to me and we just bonded and he said, you have to read my story. I'm going to send you the script tonight. I read the script. I cried my eyes out through the whole thing. I was so touched that I've said this so many times, but it's the same every time. It got in my heart and it's not left even today that I had to tell this story. It was like I was on a mission. I just never gave up. And so that's how it ended up getting made. But it took 17 years to get it funded. I had been funded four times. The money fell through every day. time. And the last time it fell through was six years ago. Dennis had already been hired. And I thought we were going to lose Dennis. And he called me and said, listen, I love this story. It's the best story I've read in 20 years. I'm on for life. As long as you can find a time span on my schedule, I will do the

film. Well, now, for people who are, you know, tuning in and saying, what is the story? Tell us what is the story? The story is about a little boy, eight years old, who was very poor. His father decided to be a minister and a preacher and travel around the country, and they got kicked out of a couple churches because his father was very adamant about no smoking in the church and treating the church badly. Ricky would be very poor and go out on a railroad track and hit stones all day, but he wore egg braces because he was crippled from the hip down.

So he just got so good at hitting rocks because he was so poor. poor. He had nothing else to do. He hit 2,000 rocks a day. And of course, that transferred into baseball. He wanted to play baseball. He was addicted to it. And his father would not allow him to play baseball. He was like, you're going to be a preacher? Because when Ricky was eight, he started preaching to the family, imitating his father. And he got so good at it that he could recite the Bible back to front. And this is not a faith movie, but it's got so much faith in it because of the father. It just translates into that. So Ricky, behind his dad's back, ended up, becoming an all-star player in high school.

And right when the scouts were about to look at him, they came to the stadium to look at him, he trips over a sprinkler head and breaks his ankle. Now, wait a minute. This is unbelievable. I just want to go back. So here you have a kid wearing braces who knows he can hit a ball. How does he play baseball with, you know, with leg braces?

So at eight, about nine years old, he was in a sandlot game, and they were calling him robot boy and making fun of them. so he knocked his brace off with his bat and he drug it across the field and then the other one he took off and he could actually walk because he had worn them for so many years and his father couldn't believe it

because they wanted him to stay in the braces. You know how parents are, they're very worried, you know? So he ended up, his dad finally gave in and let him not have the braces on so he started to learn how to run and he got really good at it. But he could run, he could play just like a normal kid, he became an all-star player.

But what happened, what I'm about to tell you is the story. So he breaks his ankle, he goes to the hospital, the doctors look at him, you know, examine him for the broken leg, and they find out that he has degenerative spinal disease. He has discs missing in his back, and he has the spine of a 70-year-old man. How old is he at this point?

17. And the tryouts were coming in two months. So he didn't have money to operate on the ankle to get him in shape for the, for the event, you know, for the tryouts. So a man who like Shepard his life played by Randy Houser, the country singer, wrote a check and paid for his surgery

and the rest of the money they raised in the town. And Ricky got the surgery and then cut his cast off because he still wasn't ready for tryouts. And when you see the end, what he did, it's a miracle, like what he achieved. I mean, he got cut at the tryouts and he still came back and went up to the famous scout,

Red Murph had discovered Nolan Ryan and was crying and he said, you have to give me a chance, sir. I'm hitting balls out of the park one after the other. I think I hit 16 home runs and you won't even see me because of my bad leg. So what was his career then? So because I'm not clear on that. So he ends up getting a career. Well, I'm trying to tell you a little bit at the end of the movie, but he does get signed to the Montreal Expos for four, five seasons. And he played on farm teams because the way he ran and because he became a designated hitter, he wore the Montreal Expo's jersey, and he played pro baseball, but it wasn't major league.

So the story really is what he achieved up to that point. And after five seasons, they discovered his degenerative spinal disease. He hit it from everybody, because back then we didn't have computers and we couldn't Internet. We couldn't follow every little detail, you know. And so what decade are we talking about? 172 was the time when he got signed, but he started out as a kid in 60. So it goes from 1960 to 72.

Yeah, 60 to 75, sorry. So this is obviously an inspiring story. So anybody who wants a family film that's inspiring and happens to be true. It's amazing. I'm also amazed to hear how you got to direct this film. You mean to tell me that Ricky Hill knew that this news. that this needed to be a film. I mean, I find that part interesting,

that he knew that he's working for years to get his story told because he knew that it was inspiring and that somebody needed to tell it. Yeah, at first he didn't want to tell the story. His brother wrote the story 50 pages and read it to the family, and Ricky didn't want anything to do with it

because his dad had just died two years after his career was over. And then his mother died not long after that. So he didn't want the story really to be told. When we screened the movie now, most of the screenings, Ricky just breaks down every time and I have to console him. It's just he's seeing his whole life flash before his eyes and he wasn't ready for that. So he was not really super strong about getting his story told.

He had to shepherd it around with people telling him, you've got to tell your story, Ricky. And I'll tell you a great thing. He told me that only until a week ago, he never knew why his career was cut, why God took his special ability away that he had to play in baseball. He said when the first baseball came at him because he hit so many rocks, it looked like a beach ball. It was so big. He could just hit the balls straight out of the park. And I researched all this.

I have it all documented. It's all true. And so he said that he lost his faith. He was so upset. He never knew why his whole life, why this was taken away. And he just realized it last week when we screened it for some people and it said they'd changed their lives and their kids now know what they want to do in life. He said the whole reason that's happened to me, I was put on earth to tell this story to give it back to other people.

And I've been telling my audience, a lot of times I bump into friends who they clearly aren't getting the memo. They clearly aren't listening to you or to me or to a handful of people. And they don't see why I have hope, why you have hope, why we're in a battle. but we have hope amidst the battle. And I tell people part of the way that I keep my head on straight is I go to the app that

what is give him 15? Well, that's a podcast I do every day in which I write a devotional dash slash teaching, but one that moves us toward prayer and one that moves us toward hope and faith for the nation. I try to make them somewhat prophetic in nation. It's not a prophecy for 15 minutes. It's what I'm sensing and feeling from Holy Spirit for the nation. And I weave it into a teaching on prayer and just try to encourage people that God's not finished with America. And then we, of course, end with prayer. And we are having literally, Eric, hundreds of thousands of people that view this and that's encouraging to know on a daily basis that many people are agreeing in prayer together for revival and for the nation and the nations and the nations well first of all i got to

ask you a question has nothing to do with anything why do you say holy spirit and not the holy spirit you know i've heard that many times you know i don't know just something i started doing a while back because it's his name sometimes scripture you know calls him the holy spirit but sometimes he's referred to as Holy Spirit. And to me, I don't say that, Eric, I say Eric. So I started making it more personal. It was a thing for me to try to make it more personal when I talked to Holy Spirit. But I have no problem with people saying the Holy Spirit.

Well, I just, you know, those are the kinds of things that, those are the deep questions that I wanted to ask you. No, seriously, Dutch, what's interesting to me is I talked to a lot of people who are conservatives, many of them are conservatives. and Christians, but they don't have the hope that I have and that you have. They don't, they seem to be just troubled. You have for a long time talked about how God has spoken to you about we need to fight for this nation. And when you shared this, it was, I don't know, like last year when we were with Hank Cooneman and company in Omaha, Nebraska. And I,

I heard you share that story. You've shared it many times, but how God spoke to you at a certain point that you need to battle in prayer for this nation. In other words, God was saying, I need you to fight and to pray and to hope, not to give up, not to say it's over and let's just go back to our caves or let's just, you know, a hope we're raptured before it gets bad. When did the Lord speak to you in that way? That was in 2000, September of 2000.

And I didn't expect it. I mean, I had been in a place with the Lord where he was really dealing with me about the nation in my prayer times. But the Holy Spirit came over me in a powerful way at a Wednesday night's service. And I began to weep and didn't know why. It was strange. I mean, you should be sad or something, but I just felt something come on me. I began to weep. I can barely talk about it without it happening.

And instantly, it intensified into these sobs. And for three and a half hours, I couldn't stop it. And it went, Eric, the only way I know to describe this, it went from my emotions down into my heart. And I thought at one point I was going to die. I finally realized why we have the phrase, a broken heart, because mine was breaking inside of me. And I, and but the Lord through that, and it lasts a long time.

I mean, I could say a lot about it. But what he said to me at one point was, I must have this nation. And it wasn't that he loves America more than any other people or country. It wasn't some nationalistic pride. It was what I intend to do, and I knew he was referencing harvest, the end gathering of, I believe, a billion or more souls. He said, I must have this nation. when you think about it, that's why he raised up America.

No one, no honest person can study the history of America and what our founders said and not believe that God was in the raising up of America for the purpose of the gospel being sent around the world. And he said, I must have this nation. And I didn't feel anger, although I can imagine God's pretty angry of America at times. I felt his broken heart as a father, and he said, I must have America for what I wanted, what I'm going to do around the world. And since then, I've realized, it's true. If America goes, if America is taken over, if America doesn't survive, it's over for all of us. I'm going to change my theology and believe in a rapture any minute now because there's no other hope for the world if America's taken out right now. but God is not going to allow that, Eric.

Well, that's the thing is that you, my friend Mike Thompson, just a handful of others have been very clear on this. And that's why I listen to you and I listen to Mike Thompson because not only do I believe that what you're saying and what Mike Thompson is saying is true, but both of you are deeply seasoned sober figures. You're not just, you know, because some people, the flesh gets in and you're not sure what are they saying and what is echo chamber and what.

And as soon as that happens, it becomes polluted. You don't know what to believe. When I hear you, when I hear Mike Thompson, I know that you're alone with God. I know you wouldn't say something just to say it because it feels good. It's not your emotion. And that's very important, Dutch. You know that because we're going through a tough time and people are looking for reality. people were living in a world of lunacy and people are looking around who do I listen to whom can I trust in this time.

And so I've heard you say just what you said a number of times that God spoke to you clearly. And I say the same thing every time with Mike Thompson. If you say something or Mike Thompson says something, I know it's real. I don't have to filter it. When you say that God spoke to you and said, I must have this nation, I have no doubt. that the Lord who created this world and who sent Jesus and says that he spoke that. We know he speaks, but I know that he spoke that to you. And I think it's important for people who are just despairing right now. I don't know what they're doing. Maybe they're just watching Fox News and they're just

freaking out to understand, no, no, no. Do not give in to the negativity and the hopelessness. that's the that is the voice of the devil the voice of god says fight pray stand for what is right rejoice in me in the midst of these things and so that is the message of give him 15 every day and and you know before we go to a break i i just wanted my audience to understand that if you're not getting that uh give him 15 um i don't i don't know you know if you want to live in despair or whatever. But do you have a sense, Dutch, of what's going to happen in this next year? Any sense of any details?

Well, I do. I feel like there's coming some kind of shaking to this nation that is beyond what we've been experiencing. People talk about judgment. America's been, judgment is reaping. That's what judgment is. And we've been reaping negative, horrible things for a long time. And, but I think a phase is coming that will be sort of what I would maybe call the final wake-up call.

I don't know what it is, but I believe a very difficult season is coming. I've been saying for a long time it's going to get a little worse before it gets better. And I believe God in his mercy, I call it a merciful shake, because God is not coming to destroy America. He's coming to awaken this nation to our true condition and what needs to happen. And it's all right, people are already waking up. There are a whole lot more people that get it now that did in 2016, 2020. But not enough. We are moving towards something.

And I do not know what it is. But something is coming that will, will awaken this nation, not destroy this nation, but awaken this nation. And I believe it's going to be the push we need for two things. Eric, it's going to be the push we need for a spiritual awakening to awaken people to the fact that we need, hey, we're in trouble, we need God. We have rebelled. We've left God. We've resisted God. We need God. But also, then to the true condition of our nation in general, we've got to get rid of the

I have the privilege of speaking with Dutch Sheets, a man of God, a prophetic voice in America, to whom I go almost on a daily basis for hope and truth. That's not a small thing. Dutch, you were just sharing about, and I guess part of the reason I get excited when I read what you write on Give Him 15 every morning, which I have on my phone, is that I am tracking with you. I go, Yes, yes, that's what God is saying to me. That's what I know the Holy Spirit is saying right now,

trying to wake people up, trying to give us hope amidst the battle. And you just said that, you know, something a lot of people don't want to hear, that we are, it seems due for a shaking. And I think a lot of people like me would say, well, what do you mean? We've been through a shaking. It's been pure hell. but most people in the church, that's why I wrote my book letter to the American Church, most people in the church are still not awake to the moment.

They are still not understanding that they've got to get involved. They've got to do things. So you were just talking about what are God's purposes. One is to wake up his church to a relationship with him that we haven't had. And secondly, it concerns the nation. So talk about that, because I cut you off just before we went to the break, because I'm sensing exactly the same thing, that God is trying to get us back to our Christian roots, back to the founder's vision. We've drifted so far from that. And to get back there is going to require, it seems,

more of a shaking even than we've had. Well, America, we in America, we have been the proverbial frog in the cattle. We are the frog. We have very slowly been lulled into a slow. lumber, a passivity, and we've allowed this to happen. And sometimes human nature is such, as you know, that when that happens, it does take something strong or radical to bring people out of that stupor and awaken them. And that's unfortunate, but it's the case. And so God is going to do that. Something is coming to this nation, and I don't know what it is. I don't know if it's an attack from elsewhere. I don't know if it's something another nation does. I don't know if it's turmoil within, but it will be more enough to shock the American people into a sense of,

we better react and do something and shift before it's too late. That is coming to this nation. I'm confident of it. And when you think about it, when God talks about, there are numerous references in scripture, but when he talks about the shaking, the most prevalent or known passage is Hebrews 12, where he talks about the mountains and the kingdom that can be shaken kingdoms and his can't be. But that begins with him speaking about how a father disciplines children he loves. He's not coming to shake. He's not doing things that are somewhat difficult or alarming because he doesn't like us. He didn't bring discipline to Israel because he hated Israel.

It's because he loved Israel. And this is what I have to do to save them. That's what he's going to do with America. It is for our good and it is coming. I believe it will be laced with mercy and redemption, but it's going to wake up this nation. And God is not finished with America because he's not finished reaping the great harvest in the earth.

What would you say to the idea that we have been shaken? In other words, that what we've been going through, because I do sense that people are waking up, that it seems like there's a daily or a weekly something that you just think, I cannot believe this. What happened with Donald Trump being indicted yesterday on the January 6th, I just thought, I didn't think it could get worse or more insane that the deep state, the forces of evil, people that just hate we the people, that hate the American voter, continue to do absolutely anything to take out Donald Trump,

which I think makes people that are on the fence like him or love him because they say, I've never seen anything like this in my life. I cannot imagine the way they have gone after him and his family. It looks like two-tier justicism. In other words, I see people seeing this and waking up. But you're saying that in a sense, or I guess are you hearing from God that there is a new level of shaking that's coming? Yes. But I don't believe that that is just more corruption and people seeing the government do this or that.

I believe there is something coming that is either an event or a series of events that will bring discomfort to the. the American people. I don't know what that is, but I just don't know. But I believe it's something that will scare America and make them realize we better wake up fast. I don't know if China's going to do something or Russia's going to do something. There's some terrorist attack that's worse than 9-11, but something is coming to this nation that is very difficult. Now, I'm not prophesying that, Eric. I prophesied at times. I'm not afraid to do that. But I'm not saying I know what it is and that I know that I know it's going to be at that level. That's just what I sense in my heart. I believe something that difficult is coming because I believe we need something.

It's almost like put the pads on and shock this guy and get this heart beating again. That's what I feel is coming. But it will be to awaken us. It's interesting. Today's post I wrote about Pharaoh. And because God had been talking to me, or I say that, casually. God had been prompting me in my heart. That's what I mean when I say God speaks to me. Thoughts had been coming to me for days about Pharaoh hardening his heart. And so I began to think about it, pray about it. And I went to the passages, of course, in Exodus 19 times from Exodus 4 to 14. Go ahead. Hang on one second. We're going to go to another break. This is a key point. I read it myself this morning. Don't go away. With the overturn of Roe v. Wade, lots of companies.

Talking to Dutch Sheets, Dutch, you were just talking about what you have on Give Him 15. That's your app that I read this morning about this kind of difficult thing for us to process that God would harden the heart of Pharaoh because we know that it's like God doesn't cause us to sin. So what is that when God hardens the heart of Pharaoh? And you explain it in your Give Him 15 this morning.

But say it now because you were just making this point. Well, 19 times from Exodus 4 through 14, it says Pharaoh's heart, Pharaoh's heart was hardened. But sometimes it says he hardened his heart, as in Pharaoh himself. Sometimes it clearly says God hardened Pharaoh's heart, or I will do this, he said to Moses. So the point is clear. We know from the book of James, God tempts no one to sin. He cannot do that. And he never forced anyone to do that.

But what happens is when a person crosses that line that only God has the right and the ability to decide when it is. But when they cross that line, that hardness and evil becomes something that's irredeemable. Then God, then that's what happened with Pharaoh. God will use that or God will deal with them differently. There was no saving him at that point. There was no repentance for him. He had reached a point where that wasn't going to happen. So God said, now I'm going to use his hardness.

and I'm going to harden his heart further because God wanted to do more than deliver Israel. God wanted to expose the false gods of Egypt. And he wanted, and there are two verses I mentioned in the post where it talks about God revealing to the Egyptians. This is a mercy from God. Yahweh wanted to show the Egyptian people, these gods are not gods. I'm the true and living God. So he said, I'm not only going to deliver Israel. I'm going to use his arrogance, his pride, his heart.

of heart, and I'm going to expose these false gods, and I'm going to judge them. That's what he did. And the correlation I made was that I see this happening in America. And this is why I feel like God began to speak to me in this way. I believe leaders in America are reaching that point. And I did not say they have and that God can no longer save them. I just, I don't go there because only God knows that. But I did say, I believe my conviction is some leaders in America have reached a point of evil. Eric, when you allow a baby to be born and say, kill it on the table, that is evil. That is, that is a highest level of evil. I can't conceive of mutilating a confused kid child that's 12, 13, 14 years old, mutilating his or her body

because of my political beliefs or my, you know, whatever or money. And so there are some that have reached a point of evil and hardness of heart in this nation. And I believe what we're seeing now is God is using that. He's using it to show America how ridiculous, what fools we have in positions of power. And he's making a mockery of them just like he said he would do to Pharaoh and he did it. And I make the statement in the post and I believe it, God is using the hardness of their hearts now and the pride and the arrogance because they believe they won. And they believe it's irreversible. They own America now, the left.

They believe there's no reversing it. And I said, and I believe it's they are running pale-mell toward the Red Sea. God is going to show them that I can do this. So that's where we're going. That's, you know, I resonate with everything you're right, but this struck me so hard this morning. Just, you know, two hours ago as I was looking at this, I thought, wow, this is exactly right. This is what God is saying. And to clarify again for my audience, folks, you know, the Germans in the 1930s, in my book

The American Church, I keep making this comparison. The Germans in the 1930s had no clue of the evil, most of the evil of what the Nazis were doing. They had no clue. They had hints. They looked the other way. They're guilty. But we have infinitely more evidence. It is a chilling thing.

when we know, we know that young people are being mutilated by greedy doctors, by people that are ideologically insane, that is happening. We know it. If you don't speak up or you go to a church that's looking the other way, God's going to judge you for looking the other way. God's going to judge you for giving your money to a pastor that seems indifferent to this because these young people are having their lives destroyed. Babies are being murdered in the womb. We have leading political figures. Dutch, you just said this,

advocating for killing children in the womb to the ninth month. Now, let's think about that. Does anybody in the world think that's not a human being in the ninth month? And then they go this step farther, even potentially after the baby is born. There's a level of wickedness here that I guarantee you, the Germans did not know what Joseph Mingola was doing. There was propaganda.

There was a media blackout. In this country, we can see what these folks are doing. And God will hold us responsible. So, you know, Dutch, when you said this, I thought, I haven't thought of it this way, but there does seem to be a lot of our political leaders and cultural leaders. They're in bed with evil in a way that we've never, ever seen this before. It has, and you talk about this, that when God,

gives them over in a sense to to say the things that they used to not say it used to be hidden they are now saying it there's a brazenness we had target uh openly glorifying satan on shirts for kids this is like you'd make that up no that was real we we have disney doing things out of the pit of hell we have the LA Dodgers doing stuff out of the pit of hell. We have Anheiser Bush. I mean, we have never, ever seen anything like this. And it's exactly what you say in today's post and I've said other times that they have somehow been allowed to feel that they're in power and they can just let it all hang out.

They don't even have to be careful about what they say or how they. say it. We frankly never see anything like it. No, and what could cause them to come out of their closet and be so vocal and no longer try to be covert other than an arrogance, just like Pharaoh had. I'm going to go now and I'm going to take them out. They're trapped at the Red Sea and I'm going to do this. These people have reached a point of arrogance and that's God further hardening their heart as far as I'm concerned, where they believe nothing can stop them. They believe they can mock God. They believe they can take his words and change them and do anything they want.

They believe they can laugh in his face. They believe they can say what Pharaoh said. I don't know who this God is. You're talking about Moses. And I'm not going to do this that you're telling me to do. That's where they have come to in America, Eric. Okay. You got to go to give him 15.

I hope this email will get to you. It's been 20 years now this fall when I first came to Socrates in the city. That's amazing. I just moved to New York City, started attending a little Episcopal Church. In the program one Sunday was a notice for Socrates in the city. I thanked the Lord for that every day. That was 2003. I became a regular attender and supporter of Socrates in the city.

Lots has happened in between, but I still regularly listen to your podcast. And seven years ago, my husband and I got to visit you in your studio at the Empire State Building. All these years, you've been a mentor to me and an inspiration. When my company almost fired me at the end of 2021 as a 25-year employee because I would not get vaccinated and was pregnant and then nursing, I listened to you and Naomi Wolf, and I stood strong. They turned off my ID and I couldn't get into the office, but I kept praying. Thankfully, I was not fired, but my company had to accept an exemption at the last minute because of Governor DeSantis passing a law. Unbelievable.

In addition, because of hearing the David Deliden recording on your show, I found the best local pregnancy clinics where I live now in Miami to support and eventually got on the board of directors. After Rovi Wade was overturned, v. Vandals came to the clinics and to our gala. We were approached by Liberty First, and they asked to represent us in a lawsuit against Antifa. and Jane's revenge. Because I'd heard about Liberty First on your show, we felt comfortable moving forward. We were the first pregnancy clinic in the country to file a lawsuit and the state of Florida filed along with us.

Thank you for encouraging us not to be silent in the face of evil. You've been a light to me in this dark world. Thank you for everything you do. My husband, four kids, and I pray for you daily. to say thank you Joni for writing that you know sometimes I just can't believe what I'm reading somebody named Buzz writes hello Mr. Metaxus I'm excited to attend the October 25th banquet at which I'm told you'll be the keynote speaker. You see, I'm just a grounds maintenance worker, and I do the maintenance at the West Augustica Care Pregnancy Center. This past year, there was a need for some major repairs at the facility, and I saw God answer prayers to get the work done in an astonishing way. I certainly have a story to tell.

It excited me so much that I went to my pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Augusta to talk about it, and First Presbyterian Church did become more involved in supporting the work of the pregnancy care center. God bless this man Buzz Tool. Amazing. He says, I also discussed some things with my past that have been troubling me that they didn't seem to want to talk about. Then right after that, God basically threw your book Letter to the American Church at me. See, this lawn care man doesn't read much lately, but somehow God brought that book to my attention last September when it was out off the press,

and I read it, and I realized it was talking about the same topics. I'd just been meeting with my pastor about. So I bought several copies of Lettersen American Church and gave them out to several of my preacher friends thinking maybe they'll finally get fired up about things. I'll have to say sadly, that doesn't seem to be a case yet. Anyway, this lawn care man has seen a lot happen in the past couple years, especially around the Augustic Care Pregnancy Center,

and I can hardly wait to hear you speak at the fundraiser banquet this October. So this guy named Buzz, you know, this is my dream come true that someone who claims he doesn't read much is concerned. He's talking to his pastor about how his pastor needs to speak up about the evil in the world, about the myriad things falling apart. And he actually goes and talks to his pastor. That's amazing, folks. That needs to be you.

And by the way, if you're at a church where they really don't want to hear this stuff, they're not interested, you need to find another church. I say this over and over again. There are churches that get it. you need to be a part of one of those churches.
