Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Metaxus show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit legacy p.m.investments.com. That's legacy p.m. Investments.com. Welcome to the Eric Metaxas show. I shouldn't tell you this, but Eric hired someone who sounds just like him to host today's show. But since I'm the announcer, they told me, so I'm telling you, don't be fooled. The real Eric's in jail. Hey there, folks. Welcome to the program. My name's Eric Metaxis. I'll be the host of the Eric Mataxis show today. And it's really basically miraculous that they were able to find a guy named Eric Metaxus, which is my real name, to host the Eric Metaxus show. I mean, what are the odds of that? It's just hard to figure mathematically. I have with me, my producer, Chris Heimes, although when I say with me, Chris Heimes, you're with me, but you're not with me. You're in a car. like in the Smoky Mountains of, is it Virginia someplace?
Starting point is 00:01:13 Yeah, I'm in the Smoky Mountains. I'm outside of a budget inn and something called the Pink Cadillac Diner. So you got this thing called a family and you travel around with them and you kind of got stuck down there. So you're not with me in the studio today. But you're just as real in some ways as you are when you're here. I just want you to know that you seem real. You seem very real to me. Well, every day for me is like Noah's Ark.
Starting point is 00:01:39 You know, I'm in a vehicle with a lot of children and animals, and there's a lot of yelling. There's a lot of yelling. Right. Send out a dove, and maybe it's time to land. But I want to mention two things. First of all, people write to us, and I am really blessed by some of these emails that we get. Sometimes you send it to Ericmetaxis.com. Some people go to metaxistalk.com.
Starting point is 00:02:05 I want to read one of those in just a moment. but before I read this very, very sweet email from a grounds maintenance worker, okay? His name is Buzz. I'm not going to give you his last name. But it really touched my heart. I said, I have to read it. But before I do that, I want to remind you that we are doing a fundraiser with food for the poor. Now, everywhere we turn, there's disaster, right?
Starting point is 00:02:32 I think most of us know that President Biden or the people who are ministering, manipulating his puppet strings, are trying and succeeding in destroying the United States of America. Now, they can only do that if we help them, if we let them. And I talk wherever I go about how we all have a job to do. It's not up to us to sit back and watch things, you know, be destroyed. We all have a job to do. One of the things that we need to do is to step up and help those who can't help themselves. and this is separate but related.
Starting point is 00:03:11 We do a campaign with food for the poor every year. They help people who are struggling in countries that have no government assistance to help them if there's some kind of disaster. And no, I'm not talking about Hawaii. I'm talking about other parts of the world. We really need your help. When we do a fundraiser with Food for the Poor,
Starting point is 00:03:31 if you don't step up, these people don't get the help. Food for the Poor needs people on this program to be generous. So I want to ask you today to go to metaxis talk.com, metaxistalks talk.com. Most of you give through metaxis talk.com. Give what you can. I know some of you can give $100. Some of you can give less. Some of you can give more.
Starting point is 00:03:57 But we need everybody to participate, which is one of the reasons why I say, if you can't go to metaxistock.com, on your phone, just text the word Eric, my first name. to 911-99. If you text Eric to 911-99-9-9-9-9, something will pop up, and you can give that way. I want to reiterate, we need your help because people in these countries are suffering. And when the hurricanes hit, because as you know, we're approaching that season right now, they get devastated. And so food for the poor wants to be prepared before they are totally devastated. Food for the poor wants to be ready.
Starting point is 00:04:36 We need you. to step up. So I'm going to keep reminding you over and over and over again. Some of you prefer to call. It's 844-863 Hope, 844-863 Hope. But we need those of you who enjoy this program to step up and to help, because we need your help. There's no other way to put it. So before we get to my first guest, in the studio, my friend Frank Gaffney, who's the president and CEO of something called Save the Persecuted Christians, also in the studio, D.D. Logason. I got to read this letter that I got. And this was really, you know, sometimes I just can't believe what I'm reading. Somebody named Buzz writes, Hello, Mr. Metaxus. I'm excited to attend the October 25th banquet at which I'm told you'll be the keynote speaker. You see, I'm just a grounds maintenance worker, and I do the maintenance at
Starting point is 00:05:37 the West Augusta Care Pregnancy Center. This past year, there was a need for some major repairs at the facility, and I saw God answer prayers to get the work done in an astonishing way. That was in September of last year. I certainly have a story to tell. It excited me so much that I went to my pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Augusta to talk about it. There's some miraculous stuff. And First Presbyterian Church did become more involved in supporting the work of the pregnancy care center.
Starting point is 00:06:06 God bless this man buzz tool. Amazing. He says, I also discussed some things with my past that have been troubling me that they didn't seem to want to talk about. Then right after that, God basically threw your book Letter to the American Church at me. See, this lawn care man doesn't read much lately, but somehow God brought that book to my attention last September when it was hot off the press and I read it, and I realized it was talking about the same topics I'd just been meeting with my pastor about. So I gave, so I bought several copies of Letter to the American Church and gave them out, to several of my preacher friends thinking maybe they'll finally get fired up about things. I'll have to say sadly that doesn't seem to be a case yet.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Anyway, this lawn care man has seen a lot happen in the past couple years, especially around the Augustic Care Pregnancy Center, and I can hardly wait to hear you speak at the fundraiser banquet this October. So this guy named Buzz, you know, this is my dream come true, that someone who claims he doesn't read much is concerned. He's talking to his pastor about how his pastor needs to speak up about the evil in the world. about the myriad things falling apart. And he actually goes and talks to his pastor.
Starting point is 00:07:12 That's amazing, folks. That needs to be you. And by the way, if you're at a church where they really don't want to hear this stuff, they're not interested, you need to find another church. I say this over and over again. There are churches that get it. You need to be a part of one of those churches.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Every single one of us needs to step up. But I want to say, God bless you, Buzz, for writing to us and letting us know that God put this on your heart and that you actually, out of your own pocket, are giving copies of my book to preach your friends. It's just amazing. Okay, folks, before we go to the guest, remember metaxis talk.com,
Starting point is 00:07:45 we need your help. Hurricane season is coming. We know that there are people in the Caribbean and Latin American countries that are suffering right now, and that hurricane season, which is almost upon us, makes things much, much, much tougher. And that's why we're asking you to go to metaxis talk.com. Please, please go to MetaxusTalk.com and give what you can.
Starting point is 00:08:09 We've got a clip. This is hurricane expert and forecaster John Morales, because we've heard, we know things are bad every year during hurricane season in this neck of the woods, and that's why we're asking you to help. But he is giving us an update on what he sees. So he's a meteorologist. John Morales, let's play that clip right now. The warmth of the Atlantic Ocean, it's just so remarkably hot.
Starting point is 00:08:34 and you've seen the headlines of 100 degree water in the Florida Keys. Well, I mean, listen, it is record hot. And again, the warmer the water is, the easier it is to evaporate that the moisture off the surface of the ocean. And that moisture gives the tropical storms the energy to become hurricanes and potentially major hurricanes. That is the big concern. All right, folks. So that is why I'm urging you to go right now to metaxus talk.com. make a donation to help rebuild lives of the poorest of the poor once disaster strikes,
Starting point is 00:09:10 which obviously it will. Please head over to metaxis talk.com, click on the Emergency Relief Supplies banner. Or you can text Eric to 911999. We need you to do this. Text Eric to 911-99. Or if you prefer to call, you can phone your most generous gift to 844-863 hope. That's 844-863. 633-4-6-7-3, 844-863-4-6-7-3.
Starting point is 00:09:41 That's 844-8-63, Hope, or you can text Eric to 9-1-999, or just go to metaxistalk.com. We do need your help. This is urgent. We need your help with food for the poor. These people need your help. Metaxistalk.com. God bless you. For 10 years, Patriot Mobile has been America's only Christian conservative wireless provider.

Logason, who are with Save the persecuted Christians.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Frank, I've known you for years. You're the founder and president of the Center for Security Policy. You actually were in the Reagan administration as a very young man. And you have seen this through the decades, that there are always, some that are brave and willing to stand up. Ronald Reagan was one of them. And to some extent, since Reagan,
Starting point is 00:13:01 we've had very few, I don't think we've had anybody in the White House who's been willing to stand up for this stuff, until Donald Trump, who is not a Bible-believing, you know, reading Oswald Chambers every morning as George W. Bush claimed to,
Starting point is 00:13:19 And yet he understands this stuff. Because to my mind, ultimately, these are American values. In other words, one of the ways we know America is a Christian nation is not because we're officially Christian, which we're not, but because inherently you can't have America as America without these fundamental Christian values. These are basic things that anybody who really understands America just understands this stuff innately.
Starting point is 00:13:46 And it's been going out of the culture through the decades as the Marxist, secularist, atheist left has been pushing it out with the complicity of the church and the complicity of many Republicans who don't have the guts to stand up against this. So what gives you hope that we do stand a chance? And others, where do you see signs of hope? That's such an important question, Eric.
Starting point is 00:14:07 I guess I would put it this way. I've spent most of my professional life going back to even before when I went to work for run. Reagan and the Pentagon, working against totalitarianism of various stripes. It was the Soviet communism back in that day, of course, in the interval, there was a jihadist threat. I call it sharia supremacist.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Today we're dealing with that, of course, but mostly ignoring it in favor of to the extent anybody's focused on totalitarianism at all. It's the Chinese Communist Party in its brain. end of communism. Each of them had one thing in common. Utter intolerance for religious freedom. Right. And for the human individual, for that matter. But especially as a manifestation of God on earth, you know, human. Well, look, let's just, you know, to show the math on the blackboard, if you're an authoritarian, the biggest threat to your authority is God's authority. And so anybody who looks to God as the ultimate authority is your enemy.
Starting point is 00:15:22 And so you, whether you're Stalin or you're Adolf Hitler, or whether you're the communist leaders in China today, it really doesn't matter. That is always the case. It's very basic. It's not really complicated. And you see it over and over and over again. And in this country, as we have increasingly drifted toward this Marxist, socialist, secularist model, who are the enemies? Bible believe in Christians. What gives me hope is that historically, God has been on our side and helping us triumph over these
Starting point is 00:16:02 various totalitarian threats. What I fear is that we continue to give him reason not to feel that we are on his side. And that may cost us his grace. which puts all of this into a very, very dangerous vortex. So where I come back to this and in hope as in belief is that we must appeal to the American people, particularly people of faith, particularly the church, to stand for those values, as you say, Eric, that were part of the founding of this great name. and war it once again, God's grace.
Starting point is 00:16:52 And I think in part that requires us to stand for his people who are being persecuted to help them wherever they are in resisting, usually the predations of these totalitarians, and in so doing, I think be once again deserving of the victory that he alone can probably assure us. Well, America was always the leader in this kind of thing. That's what's so interesting. So it's fascinating to see us having fallen so far down that we are no longer leading in this around the world, and we are guilty of it here. I mean, that's an extraordinary thing.
Starting point is 00:17:33 And to my mind, it's the ultimate wake-up call. Either we will wake up as a result of where we find ourselves, or it's over. I mean, there is no America 2.0 waiting in the wings. There's just more totalitarianism waiting in the wings. Well, and, you know, the people of America are really challenged at this point. This, the forces that are coming against Christians in America are legion. And we were told by Pope John Paul to be not afraid, you know. And I think that's the message right now.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Be brave. Our children's future depends on us being brave, on us being faithful. re-engaging and claiming the faith that we have known that was taught to us by our own mothers and fathers and that we hope to pass on to our children, we have to give that to them whether we're able to remain in society or not. Jesus said, if you want to be my disciple, pick up your cross daily and follow after me. And that is truly what we're being called to do in America is to where, the cross of persecution because it's very much upon us. We have a, you know, I can tell you a few instances in North Carolina,
Starting point is 00:18:55 there was a 12-year-old who was punished in school for having a conversation with another student about Jesus. In Des Moines, just last year, in Des Moines, an American Center for Law and Justice came against the school, North Hill Elementary School for, hauling a second grader into the principal's office on 10 different occasions because she had used the word Jesus in her classroom. And not only that, they stop her at the front door every single day and search her backpack for tracks, Christian tracks. They will not allow her to have this conversation. Now, why is this community allowing this? Why aren't these parents?
Starting point is 00:19:37 But I mean, I guess the thing is that why aren't the parents fighting back? why isn't the community fighting back? Why aren't the churches in the community fighting back? How is it that it falls to this little kid and her parents to be dealing with this? This is just madness. I mean, if you're not standing up for people like this, you are their persecutors. You know, you might be a little bit more passive than active, but you are their persecutors. And when I hear stories like this, I think this is preposterous that this is even happening,
Starting point is 00:20:07 that we could even have this conversation. Yeah, and another instance in high schooler is in the, in the, hallway texting a friend of his and having a personal conversation and he was suspended for for saying that that homosexuals need to repent and follow Jesus for that personal private conversation that text that happened on school grounds he was suspended I mean these things are happening to our children and if we're going to be good parents in America we have to stand for children not only of our own belief but of others to to express those beliefs in they're in the school where we should learn
Starting point is 00:20:45 and have these conversations. It's the debate, the conversation that's important and that's what's being shut down. But the key point is these seem like very small things, but it is on those small things that the momentum builds
Starting point is 00:21:01 and suddenly you find yourself I don't know, in camps or otherwise being barbarically mistreated as they are Christians all over this world. And everything we're saying by the way, let's be clear folks today in America
Starting point is 00:21:15 you have the ability to speak about your faith wherever you go you have the ability to exercise your faith to live out your faith many Christians self-sensor and they basically say well we don't want to bring that up or we don't want to bring that up
Starting point is 00:21:32 well if you don't bring it up you're giving the impression that well we don't talk about those things we shouldn't talk about those things and then when somebody like a kid or whoever brings it up and you let them be person We need to stand up for our rights. I mean, listen, Paul, the Apostle Paul, stood up for his rights as a Roman citizen.
Starting point is 00:21:49 I think a lot of Christians, they've internalized this ridiculous idea that, you know, being a dormant, that's what Jesus would do. No, no, that's not quite right. There's a time that you turn the other cheek, you're making a point, but there's also a time when you fight for what is right and good and true, because that's the right thing to do, and not to have the discernment,
Starting point is 00:22:11 to know which is which. And so a lot of these folks that act like, well, I'm just going to go along with things. Romans 13, you know, it says obey the governing authorities, whatever wicked thing they tell you to do, no, ladies and gentlemen, that is wrong. And if you don't understand that, well, you could read my book letter to the American church. I talk about that because that's what the Germans used as an excuse and they open the doors to hell on earth. that's the German church enabled hell on earth because of they were, because they were doing, in a sense, what the American church is doing today. So we got to take this seriously. I'm talking to Frank Gaffney and Didi DeLogason, Save the Persecuted Christians.org.
Starting point is 00:22:54 We'll be right back. I've seen fire and I've seen rain. I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end. Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain. I'm often asked that question just the other night. I was asked that question, well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal. That's right, designed to heal, and I agree with them. And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, and each one of them helps your body
Starting point is 00:23:36 deal with inflammation. Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway. That's the point. So approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such wonderful relief. If you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain from exercise or just getting older, you should order the three-week quick start discounted to only 1995 to see if it'll work for you. Use promo code Eric or my pillow.com. Make like Mr. Milk Toast. Welcome back. I'm talking to D.D. Loggison and Frank Gaffney with Save the Persecuted Christians.org. And we need to be clear here that when we're talking about Christians,
Starting point is 00:25:31 what are we talking about? I mean, there has been a fracturing or division in the evangelical church. For example, a magazine like Christianity Today, which once was a bastion of genuine Christian values, has gone over to the dark side. They basically, you know, are liberals in Christian clothing. They, you know, they're more anti-Trump than they are pro-Jesus.
Starting point is 00:26:00 They really are just confused. And they are big-time enablers of what we're talking about. We've had articles written by Megan Basham, wrote a bunch of articles in last year, but about how a lot of Christian leaders, whether we're talking about Rick Warren or Francis Collins or whatever, they were mobilized by Big Pharma to push the vaccines, to push all kinds of stuff in ways that are utterly contrary to religious liberty. And so we have this strange division in the Christian church in this day and age.
Starting point is 00:26:40 And so people are being forced to think through, where do I stand? but many, many, many Christians have, they've gotten this memo that I'm just supposed to go along. That's the thing, you know, just get the shot. Doesn't matter that it was made as a result of babies being aborted, which that should be kind of a deal breaker, if you believe in the sanctity of human life, create an image of God. But basically they were told, no, shut up, that's not true, or even if it is true, it doesn't matter. There's a greater good here or something like that. I mean, Francis Collins, who was once the darling of evangelicals in America,
Starting point is 00:27:14 has clearly gone over to the dark side on all of this kind of stuff and taken many people with him. And that's really scandalous. And I think people have to wake up to the fact that you don't want to be reading Christianity today or listening to any of those voices. You know, but just to be clear, this is not an accident.
Starting point is 00:27:34 This is following a playbook. Our friend and colleague, I think you know, Trevor Loudon, has done a marvelous documentary film about enemies within the church. And it goes through chapter and verse how the church has been targeted. Infiltrated. Infiltrated, suborned, sabotage, whatever you want to use by people who understand that in its coherence is a strength.
Starting point is 00:28:03 You talked about this for the totalitarians elsewhere, but it's true too. If you wish to transform this country, taking out the church as a, you're not a, you're not. bastion, a bulwark against that kind of transformation is critical. So you're seeing pastors, you're seeing seminaries, you're seeing, you know, denominations, making their separate peace, I think is one way to think of it. And in the process, they're setting up all of us for the inevitable grinding down. Right. That is what is ultimately in school.
Starting point is 00:28:40 And again, we have to be clear. You know, when I write in my book, Letar to the American Church about what happened in Germany, it's a whole smorgas board, okay? You have some people that are openly wicked. Then you have other people that are kind of just going along. They agree with some of the wicked stuff, but they're just kind of going along.
Starting point is 00:28:58 They don't want to lose their job. Then you have other people that are just confused, and they think, well, I don't want any trouble, so I'll just say nothing and do nothing, and I will drift along or allow the culture to drift along, but it all ends up in the same place. And so the question is, You know, where is your pastor?
Starting point is 00:29:15 Where are you? Do you understand what is going on? And do you understand that unless you're aware of what's going on and you're part of the solution and you're living self-sacrificially to be part of the solution, you're part of the problem? You might not be one of the leaders, but you're helping these leaders in taking down all of our freedoms, particularly religious liberty, and in attacking Christians and somehow thinking, well, they have their points. They have their points. Well, that's, to me, is the issue. It's this kind of this
Starting point is 00:29:47 loss of real faith, self-sacrificial faith. And obviously we see it in the Catholic Church, we see it in the evangelical church. You see it across the board. I've been totally disgusted with the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Greek Orthodox Church. You know, you find examples of heroes in every denomination, and you find examples of cowards and bums in every denomination. They're the ones that tend to lead, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:30:09 But it's very interesting to me that that's what we're talking about. It's no different than what happened in Germany. And as you just said, Frank, it is planned. The Hitler knew that he had to take out the church. He understood this is my biggest enemy. And I'm not going to be stupid. I'm not going to claim to be against the church. I'll pretend to be, you know, just as Biden talks about being a Catholic
Starting point is 00:30:33 and Francis Collins talks about being a big evangelical, they're doing, I mean, if they were worshipping the devil, their behavior would be the same. So it doesn't really matter to me what they call themselves. Good point. Well, and, you know, if it's essential to take down the church, and it is, that's why we all heard that the church was non-essential all through the lockdowns,
Starting point is 00:30:59 because that was the real beginning of starting to pull out the basis. If you could shut down the churches, if you could keep people from coming together on a week, weekly basis and listening to the Word of God and reconnecting with one another, you could do that. That goes back to where we started. It's breaking the change. It's that fundamental freedom. Who'd have thought that in America you could tell people you can't go to church when church was foundational.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Well, listen, it's the same thing. It's fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. So a lot of people, myself included, in the beginning, you're kind of like, oh, it's like a global pandemic. People are dying. Okay, whatever. What to tell us what to do? Tell us what to do. And then at some point, you go, uh-uh, wait a minute, something's not right, something's not right, something's not right, and then you begin to shift and see what is happening. That's the question. We'll be right back talking to my friends at save the persecuted Christians.org.
Starting point is 00:32:04 With the overturn of Roe v. Wade, lots of companies are coming out saying, They'll pay for employee abortion travel and expenses. Most of you've heard about some of these companies. There was Save the Persecuted Christians.org. Frank, I want to talk about the issue of abortion and how it's being used as a way to persecute and demonize Christians in America.
Starting point is 00:33:44 But before that, or after that, up to you. But I want to talk about you mentioned holding the persecutors accountable. I guess you mean in other countries. Well, it's here too. Okay. So what do you? Maybe we come to that second. The first point is important because, you know, you said something earlier in the program about elections have consequences. And the election that produced Donald Trump's victory and his presidency and therefore his ability to appoint, you know, Supreme Court justices led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Yeah. And it gave states the responsibility to determine for their states what their own. arrangements would be for abortions. This has now become a major instrument of political warfare. We've seen it now in four or five different states, I think, to this point where the left has mobilized to try to overturn laws or change constitutions or have referendum that will do that in due course. And the point of this is simply to say that in the process, I think it is, in dispute, that people who support life, people who are pro, you know, the sanctity of the human conception, are now being vilified as part of the other, a part of the people who are to be opposed, people who must be, you know, defeated in this electoral process.
Starting point is 00:35:24 They're crazy enough to believe that children shouldn't be killed in their mother's wombs. crazy idea. But you're right. It's being used by people, including Republicans who have, you know, no soul or no guts, and they will just go along with anything. And they think, well, that's a divisive issue. So let's just dump that. On the contrary, it's a winning issue. It can be. It can be. But the point is, it's an issue that has to be fought on the basis of the merits and not on the basis that people have certain beliefs that are somehow, you know, beyond the pale. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Especially because they believe in the sanctity of life and God's creation. Right. Well, how does the belief, you know, that, you know, the same-sex couples should be able to be married and adopt children and all of that, how should that be elevated above a, Christians' belief that marriage is between a man and a woman and that life matters,
Starting point is 00:36:27 why should one belief be elevated over the other and governed as such, most specifically governed as such? And that's what we're being told here in America is that if you believe in life and you believe in these traditional principles that homosexuality is a sin and pornography should not be school and children shouldn't be groomed at an early age in their kindergartners to know, you know, what sex even is. These things, you know, we are being told that we have to set all of that aside for the beliefs of other and expressions of those beliefs in the lives of these other people. But in order to do that, we have to give up our principles, our values. And that's what makes a person's life worth living, you know,
Starting point is 00:37:26 as the principles that you believe and the values that you hold. We're being told to put our lives aside so that somebody else, in a very small minority of Americans, can have a much better life instead. Well, and look, let's face it, when it came to the same-sex marriage debate, there was no debate because they were scared to death of having a debate. If you have an actual debate on same-sex marriage,
Starting point is 00:37:50 most Americans are going to go, you know what, that doesn't, doesn't make sense to me. A man marrying a man and wanting to have kids, that seems to be all about them, not about the kids, because kids would like a mother and a father. That's kind of basic stuff. We couldn't have that conversation because they were afraid to have that conversation. Whenever somebody's afraid to have a conversation, that tells me everything I need to know. Especially when what that is manifested as is censoring the opposite point of view. And that's we knew what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:38:21 And people were talking about that at the time and saying, okay, so if it's just live and let live, will you let us have our beliefs that that is not God's plan? Or once you make this the law of the land, quote, unquote, are you going to persecute those who don't agree with you? And of course, that's what they have done. And that's only the beginning. I mean, the transgender madness is another iteration of that. And it goes on and on and on. But I think the good news is that people see the lunacy. finally and are waking up. The question is, will enough wake up, will enough be activated to do something?
Starting point is 00:38:58 In time. In time. Right. That is the question. Well, so when you talk about holding people accountable, who are we talking about holding accountable for this kind of persecution? How do we hold them accountable? Well, first of all, I think we have to have this kind of conversation where you even identify that there is this kind of separate. with some being considered the others who are therefore beyond the pale and therefore are worthy. Deney's got a wonderful litany
Starting point is 00:39:32 about how this evolves, but it basically moves inexorably through from differentiation to oppression. And sometimes outright murder. And if you don't recognize it at the outset, and you don't resist it at the very beginning. You find inevitably the tendency is to make accommodations, compromises,
Starting point is 00:39:59 pretend it's not a problem, pretend it's just a problem for them, pretend it won't be a problem for you, and ultimately you're done. So holding people accountable, particularly at the beginning, when they are engaged in this kind of persecution, is vital. And creating penalties so that it's not all upside for the person. perpetrators. Well, I mean, I, again, I talk about this stuff all the time, that we have to fight back wherever we can fight back. And folks, if the only thing you can think of doing today is telling your pastor, I will no longer go to this church because you are not fighting on this, that's one thing you can do. That's the free market. You can leave the places that are useless and find a place that is good. You can spend your money in places that are on the right side of these things and not spend your money in places that are on the wrong side of the things. Target, for example, anybody who spends a diamond target is part of the problem. Same goes for Disney.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Same goes for Anheiser-Busch. These are just, you know, a few things that we can do. We'll be right back. We're talking to my friends at save-the-persecuted Christians.org. Welcome back. Folks, in my book, Letter to the American Church, I talk about the parallels with what happened in Germany, the persecution of the Jews, particularly to what's happening today, which ends up being the demonization and the persecution of people with biblical views who tend to be
Starting point is 00:41:36 Christians. And these two always go together because ultimately all of this is an attack on God. And attack on God is going to be an attack on God's people. But you, Dedi, are saying that we are actually seeing a rise of anti-Semitism, something that was unthinkable to me in my lifetime until recently. We have people like Ilhan Omar and others who are just vile anti-Semites. Yeah, absolutely. You know, the skyrocketing number of persecuted Christians and the meteoric rise of anti-Semitism, it goes hand in hand because what we're seeing is a move around the world against people of biblical values. And that really is a convergence. You used to have that it was the church that was persecuting the Jews. And they had a head. heavy hand in the persecution of Jews in Germany, but and across Europe. What you have now is a rise of anti-Semitism coming from the progressive left. The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs in Israel just this year came out with a report that said 65% of those involved in
Starting point is 00:42:52 anti-Semitic behavior and attacks that is driven by the left. It's driven by the progressive of left. So the forces that are coming against Christians are the same forces that are coming against Jews right now in this moment in history, because it is a worldwide move against biblical values. And it's because of a rise of communism, Marxism, we have the World Economic Forum. That's a very Marxist organization. The UN and the Who, they're right in there with it. They want world-controlled. These tyrants have no place for biblical view, that God is a power above them, a supreme force outside of the state or the party. They can't imagine that. So we just really have a convergence here of this amazing historical persecution of Christians at the same time
Starting point is 00:43:50 as you have, you are seeing anti-Semitism rising all around the world. And it has a lot to do. with what's going on in Israel right now. How can people, how can people, it is diabolical, there's no question. And how can people help you at save the persecuted Christians.org? I mean, what, what is a, if people are interested as they're listening to this? What can they do? Save the persecuted Christians, we put on a webinar every month that focuses on an area of persecution just earlier this month.
Starting point is 00:44:22 And in August, we did one on yearning for the sound of freedom. Christian persecution really is that supply chain for the trafficking of children around the world. It's insane. We just did a webinar on Armenia where Azerbaijan has 120,000 Christian Armenians blockaded off in Nagorno-Karabakh. There's 30,000 children among them, and they are starving to death. They've been blockaded for eight months. So come to save the persecuted Christians, see the webinars, learn about persecution and then act. We give opportunities for people to to act. Also support the program
Starting point is 00:45:02 if you can, please. Save the persecuted Christians.org. This is very important, but the joy is, in the United States of America, we get to have this conversation. People get to listen to this. Folks, you can share this conversation with anyone you like. Why don't
Starting point is 00:45:20 you do that? Why don't you share this and other programs that I've done here? Share them with people you think that would be interesting. that's something you can do. We all need to do what we can do. You can't do more than you can do, but you need to do what you can do. And we still have tremendous freedoms and abilities. So take advantage of them. You've heard enough here. Ask God to lead you. But Dede and Frank, I just want to say thank you so much for everything you do and for your time today. God bless you.
