Welcome to the Eric Metaxus show.
I shouldn't tell you this, but Eric hired someone who sounds just like him to host today's show.
But since I'm the announcer, they told me, so I'm telling you, don't be fooled.
The real Eric's in jail.
Do you suffer from eczema, severia, psoriasis?
Tegren-medicated shampoo.
I, you know, Albin, I keep, I feel like I'm in, I mean, we don't advertise Tegren
Medicaid shampoo.
Do they even exist anymore?
Why do I say that?
We kick them to the car.
Why am I saying that?
It's kind of like the Manchurian candidate.
Like something happens and I just kind of go into this routine.
Let's talk about who's coming up on the program today.
Today, folks, it's been a long time.
It has.
General Mike Flynn is my guest on the program today.
I am, to say I'm excited would be an understatement because it's more than merely being excited.
This is important.
He is a very, very central figure in the nightmare that has been unfolding since Trump came down the escalator.
The attempt by Deep State.
anti-American anti-wee the people activists in our own government to take the government away
from we the people. We get to talk to Mike Flynn today.
Last time he was on, he was a corporal.
Oh, that's ha-ha-ha. He was never on. That was a joke. That was a joke.
No, we've, I've known him for some time, but I've got to tell you, this is a big deal.
We've not had it on the program, and I feel thrilled.
Okay, there's a lot to cover before that.
I want to tell people what I've been doing the last few days
because it's been loony, ladies and gentlemen, first of all, yesterday,
I flew home from San Diego because the trains weren't running.
No, but we flew home and we had to get.
It's like one of these weird things where I was in California, I'll tell you about it,
but we had to do a connection in Dallas.
You know, the people who helped me with this,
I always want to say that don't ever make a connection less than an hour because you never know what will happen.
Well, yesterday we made our connection with three minutes to spare and we hustled.
And that level of stress is unacceptable.
But I mean, the idea like you're in Dallas and you have to get up on that air, you know, when you're at the Dallas airport, you've got to get on that, what do they call it?
It's like an air train or whatever it is.
Because the Dallas airport is actually.
45% bigger than Dallas itself.
And so you get on this air tran, and the air tran takes you miles from one terminal to the next.
Like the terminal could be right there, but it goes all the way right.
Anyway, so yes, today we were flying all day.
But, oh, my goodness, we were in San Diego for, you know, kind of like a family vacation,
a working vacation.
But I got to tell you guys, should I just go down the list?
I got the highlights.
Old Town, San Diego Zoo, Tori Pong.
Good Friday, Easter Sunday.
Where do I start?
How about this?
I'll start with Thursday.
Can I start with Thursday?
Please do.
Okay, Thursday, we flew to San Diego.
And our only plan really was to get together with Sarah and Stephanie who are on our staff and who live in California.
And we thought we never get to see them, so we'll get together with them.
Let's go to a Mexican restaurant because Antaro's is all excited about Mexican food.
So we met in a place called Old Town.
And Old Town, it really wasn't what we had in mind.
It was kind of like, it's kind of like when you think of Times Square, Mexican version.
Like it was very, it was so touristy that it was confusing.
Like it took a while to dawn on me.
Like I thought, no, this is a Mexican restaurant.
But then I realized it's a Mexican restaurant in quotation marks.
Like everything was great good.
So if you're not interested in like a day of the dead t-shirt, it's probably not the place for you.
But of course, the meal was delightful.
And so our introduction to the San Diego area was Old Town, which we don't really recommend.
But I got to tell you, just seeing like the friends that we connected with, obviously I mentioned Sarah and Stephanie on our staff.
Now, Friday was obviously Good Friday, and we were there to, because I was booked to speak at a church on Sunday, which I did, Horizon Church in Rancho, Santa Fe.
But I've become friends with Pastor Greg Denham of Rise Church in San Marcos, which I recommend. Wonderful.
Greg and I, we've become friends, and he had me speak on Good Friday. Actually, no, he interviewed me.
and I posted, it's going out on my newsletter today.
If you sign it for my newsletter, you'll get it.
But I really recommend that you watch it if you're inclined.
Because usually when I speak in a church or any place, it's on one of my books, and probably
you've heard some version of it before.
But this was really new material, so to speak.
This was talking about the significance of Jesus' death on the cross.
A lot of details, a lot of stuff I won't want to go into now.
But I put it on my social media, at least I put on Twitter, and I put it on, it's in our newsletter.
But it was really different than anything I've ever shared.
And I just want to recommend it to people.
I talked about kind of the sadness, the deep wound at the heart of the world,
and how God's answer to that is going to be.
Friday. And, but I really went into it in some ways, and Greg Denham is amazing. I should mention,
you know, since one of the, one of the sponsors on this program is the Israel Ministry of Tourism,
Greg Denham is a super expert on Israel, on, on Jerusalem. He probably goes once a year at least
or whatever, but he, I want to go at some point with, with him, because he is such a genius.
when it comes to that stuff. But if you're interested in going, visit holyland.
Israel.travel, holyland.israel.travel.
Holyland.israel.org. But anyway, Greg brings a Jewish perspective to the Christian faith,
which is part of why our conversation on Good Friday, which, as I said, I put out in my newsletter,
and I put it on Twitter. I'll try to put on the other social media.
but I really recommend it because he brings some stuff that is just new and beautiful and interesting.
Anyway, okay, this brings us to Saturday.
This is the part that makes me mad.
This is the part that makes me, okay.
The good part was my daughter planned to hike at Torrey Pines, and we did this beautiful hike.
It's just beautiful.
You're at the shore, and then you climb up the cliff.
And, I mean, it was just a wonderful.
The air was, the weather was heaven.
And everybody kept saying, yeah, the weather's been horrible here.
We're finally getting this beautiful spring.
So the weather was heavenly.
And after that, we hit In-N-Out Burger for the second time.
Okay.
And then, here's the punchline, we went to the San Diego Zoo.
Now, I've got a bone to pick with the San Diego Zoo, because it's my understanding.
Maybe this is just me.
But it's my understanding that the point of going to a zoo, that the point of the existence,
of zoos is so that people, that would be us, could see animals.
That was just an idea planted in my head as a kid, and I can't get it out of my head,
that the whole point of a zoo is that people who pay money get to go to the zoo and see animals.
I just got that crazy idea in my head, and I can't get rid of it.
So when I go to a place like the San Diego Zoo, and I don't see animals, I have a problem with that.
Okay.
And it seems to me that this is my memory of most zoos, except the Berlin Zoo, which was fantastic in Germany was great.
But most zoos, like, you go there and you go to the cage and you see what's supposed to be in the cage by the little sign,
and then you look and you don't see that thing.
Or you see that things rear end going like into the place where they feed it.
So it's kind of like you see it leaving.
or you find out from someone why the animal's not there.
Or if you're really lucky, this is big.
Sometimes you'll see the back of the animal like in a corner.
You could say, oh, I guess technically he's present.
Because you see that patch of fur 40 yards away in the enclosure.
Yes, I think that's the animal sleeping.
Anyway, it was my impression, really, that the animals should cavort
and kind of like that was the point of the zoo.
So I have more to say about that.
I've got more to say about a lot of stuff.
Oh, boy.
So, but I just have to say we had a wonderful time.
The whole thing, what, I mean, really, it was just a monumental blessing.
We'll be right back.

Hey folks, welcome back in a couple seconds
It's a big deal
We got General Flynn coming on the program
I cannot wait
Honestly, it's nuts
That it's taking us so long
Because I know him
But we're finally getting him on the program
And it's going to get exciting
I'm going to play revelry
It's a big deal
It's a big deal
I mean anybody who knows him
We've got a lot of other exciting guests
Coming up on the show
We have this week
Victor Davis Hanson
And actually next week
Next week, sorry.
This week, Yonmi Park, who we had at Socrates and the city,
she'll be in the studio with us right here.
We have Dick Morris in the studio.
Yes, next week too.
And Brandon Strock.
Yeah.
Okay, we got a lot of, and at some point in next couple of weeks,
George Foreman, I'm not joking.
Not in the studio, but I'm not kidding.
George For, I don't believe it.
I don't see it happening.
No, it's true, George Foreman.
Okay.
So, but we have to, but before I leap into a few more excited,
things. I want to mention the film Nefarious opening April 14th in theaters.
Yeah. Okay. Now I say it's not for the little kiddies, but it other than that, it is for
everybody. You've got to see it. Nefarious opening up in theaters April 14th. It's kind of the
screw tape letters meets Silence of the Lambs. It is. And it is really well done. Theologically,
it's very sophisticated, very well acted. Like you'll, yeah, it's a psychological. It's a
A psychological thriller, I think that's the best.
That's probably a good way to put it.
It's a psychological.
Because it's a psychiatrist and it's thrilling.
No, no, no, no, no.
It's amazing.
It's amazing.
Nefarious April 14th.
Okay.
So got to mention, right?
So did I mention that we went to the zoo?
You did.
Oh, I did?
Did I mention we didn't see that many animals and how angry I was?
You were angry.
They have an elephant enclosure that could fit maybe, I don't know, 170 elephants.
But there was one.
in the distance.
Okay.
It wasn't a huge Indian elephant.
It was a kind of a smaller African elephant.
But it was there.
It was a stuffed animal.
It was there.
There was some flamingos whoop-de-do.
Actually, I took pictures of the flamingos.
They are, the colors are almost unbelievable.
I think I put that on my Instagram.
That we did see flamingos.
but I'm looking normally to see kind of, you know, bigger, scarier animals than flamingos.
But the flamingos necks are so long that they're kind of like serpentine and a little creepy at points.
Oh, yeah.
A little creepy, yeah.
But the feathers are so beautiful that it takes your mind off the creepiness.
But we also saw no monkeys.
All we wanted to see was a gorilla.
Yeah.
All we wanted to see was a gorilla.
Is that asking too much?
Hey, San Diego Zoo.
Maybe he didn't realize people go to a zoo expecting to see animals.
In fact, you know what?
Crazy, but that's the whole point of the zoo that people would see animals.
So, no, we didn't see a gorilla.
But I did when I was working out in the gym.
I listened to a new George Jones song.
Actually, it's an old George Jones song called Old King Kong.
And it says, old King Kong was a hell of a gorilla, stood about
four stories tall. That's as close as I got to seeing a gorilla in the San Diego area.
But that George Jones song is so awesome. Maybe we should play it on the break. I don't know if
James can play it. Old King Kong was a hell of a gorilla. He stood about four feet tall.
But he's just a little monkey compared to my love for you, George Jones. Okay. So I also quote
George Jones in my Good Friday conversation with Greg Denham. So stay tuned for that. And I quote
and I talk about George Harrison.
I'm not making this up.
But anyway, so Saturday we went to the zoo,
and I don't know if I've mentioned it,
but we didn't see a lot of animals.
Did I mention that?
Yeah, you kind of alluded to it.
Yeah, because I got this crazy idea as a child
that the whole point of a zoo was for people to see animals.
Animals.
Other than other people who were themselves looking to see animals.
Animals.
There was a couple of hippos sleeping in the sun.
They were utterly inert.
But we did see them.
But did I mention we didn't see no gorillas?
Yeah, we didn't see.
Or is it any guerrillas?
I always get that mixed up.
All right, look.
Is it too late to get your money back?
That's all I'm going to ask.
Yeah, probably.
But here, on the positive side, it was at least exhausting.
Now seriously?
Yes.
The main reason I was in San Diego was to preach on Easter Sunday at Horizon Church in Rancho Santa Fe.
That was a really wonderful experience.
And again, I posted it on a social media because I spoke on the resurrection.
I don't normally speak on that.
So this was kind of like fresh material, so to speak.
And I thought it went very well.
I was very grateful to God because I always pray before I speak that God would anoint my word.
So it's not just me speaking that it's actually God saying something to his people.
Easter Sunday and Resurrection Sunday combined this year.
They finally came together.
They came in the same calendar.
That's right.
So that was kind of amazing.
So I posted that.
But my favorite part was when Pastor Bob asked Suzanne to stand and wave to the crowd
and asked my daughter to stand and wave to the crowd,
embarrassing them profoundly.
Oh, I was so happy that he did that without asking their permission.
Ha ha. So, but anyway, it was such, it was wonderful. It was outside. It was an outdoor thing. Okay, got to tell you this. This is crazy, Albin. Before we get to General Flynn, I am working right now, well, two things, two things I've got to mention. Two days ago was a 78th anniversary of the death of Dietrich Bonhofer. And I'm seeing things in the news. I write about this a little bit on my website and we'll be talking about this.
The parallels to Germany in the 30s, that's what I write about in my book, Letter to the American Church.
Every day I'm seeing some despicable overreach by this fake government from those who stole the election.
They seem to be more and more obviously every day at war with the founder's vision of the United States of America and with the people who are the citizens of this country.
Obviously, I'm disgusted.
There's an incredible review of my book letter to the American Church written in the Western Journal, which I think I also put in my newsletter.
But the parallels are astonishing, absolutely sickening.
The fact that the FBI is sending people into conservative Roman Catholic parishes, this is so despicable.
If you're going to a church that doesn't care about this or doesn't talk about it, or if you're reading David French or Russell Moore, folks, you've become part of the problem.
This is just, it's mind bending how bad it's gotten this quickly.
Okay, on a positive note, Socrates in the city, we're doing one in Seattle, April 28th, coming up in a few weeks.
Now, listen, folks, we are pulling together a compilation.
It's going to come out.
It should come out by November, December, a compilation of some of the best Socrates in the city conversations as a book.
Yeah.
And I have been editing the conversations.
So I have the transcript of the conversations and I'm editing them.
I have no words to tell you how thrilled I am about what I'm doing.
I cannot tell you.
I was annoyed this morning that I had to come into the studio because I was editing one of these conversations.
I said, this is such a joy.
These are conversations with people, three of the four so far that I'm editing, have passed on.
They are no longer with us.
These people were friends.
And these are the most brilliant, extraordinary human beings I've ever had the privilege to be friends with, much less have deep conversations with publicly.
You can watch them at SocratesintheCity.com.
John Lennox, Alice von Hildebrand, Tom Howard, and then Walter Hooper, who was C.S. Lewis Lewis's secretary.
But editing these transcripts, I'm just telling you, I'm telling you.
practically drooling.
It is so, some of it is so great because I had forgotten.
Like I do these interviews and then I move on.
Yeah.
But some of these are, I don't know, 12 years old, 10 years old, 8 years old.
Some of them, this is from a little while ago, but they are, I mean, what these geniuses say,
Dame Alice von Hil de Brent, Walter Hooper, Tom Howard, and John Lernerner.
and by the way, we're only scratching the surface.
We've got many more to go.
But they are so amazing.
I'll be talking about this more in the future,
and the book will come out.
The book will come out in the fall.
I hope November, December.
But I just cannot tell you,
reading it is even more exciting than watching the video.
So watch the video, but you get a different thing when it was.
So if you want to see these, trust me, these are just,
oh, no, no, no, I'm beside myself.
enjoying, it's like reliving this
and realizing they said something so brilliant.
And by the way, Dame Alice von Hildebrandt.
You can watch it.
Go right now.
Socratescity.com, Dame Alice von Hildabrandt.
I had a conversation with her.
That woman, she was 90 years old, almost 91.
She was intense, brilliant,
and at times unbelievably hilarious,
so funny that on the plane I'm like hitting Suzanne.
Suzanne, I got it.
Unbelievable.
Socrates in the city.com.
All right, we're at a time.
When we come back, folks, no joke.
We're talking to the big man himself, General Michael Flynn.
This is a big deal.
It's also very important.
It's very important.
We'll be right back.
Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain.
I'm often asked that question just the other night.
I was asked that question.
Well, the owners of Relief Factor tell.
me, they believe our bodies were designed to heal. That's right, designed to heal, and I agree with
them. And the doctors who formulated relief factor for them selected the four best ingredients,
yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, and each one of them helps your body deal with inflammation.
Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway. That's
the point. So approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such
wonderful relief. If you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain from
exercise, they're just getting older. You should order the three-week quick start discounted to only

Folks, welcome back.
I promise you I'd have it as my guest today, General Michael Flynn, promises made.
promises kept. General Flynn, what a great honor finally to have you on this program. God bless you for all
you have done. And again, thank you for being with us today. I want to talk to you about everything.
Where do we begin? Wow. Well, first of all, Eric, thanks so much for your patience and to your audience,
your great audience, and your team for getting me back on here. It's a really, this is an incredibly important
time for this country. And I think for me, what I've been dealing with the last couple of days
with various conversations with people from Washington, D.C. to some folks that I know overseas,
is what's happening specifically what's happening in Israel, but more generally what's happening
around the globe as it relates to the real serious potential of a World War III.
with everything happening in Eastern Europe and between Ukraine and Russia, what we now see
with the Chinese and their operations over in the Pacific, as well as what the Chinese are doing
in sort of economic and political alliances and dalliances.
And then, of course, you know, specifically back in Israel, I think that what's happening
in the Middle East is a indicator.
and I think about indicators and warnings as a as a long time intelligence professional,
you know, looking at the world and looking at the kinds of things that I was responsible for
to, to at least, you know, provide information on to, up to and including presidents, you know.
I want to be clear with my audience in case anybody's not tracking, they're new to this or they're new to you.
Your career culminated, you were the director.
of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the nation's highest-serving military intelligence officer.
If anyone knows what they're talking about on these issues, I'm sorry to say it's you.
I'm sorry to say it's you because you're telling us things that are disturbing.
I know that you're a man of faith.
I met you.
I don't expect you remember this, but it was a few hours before President Trump was inaugurated in 2016,
we were in the church. There's the traditional church service immediately before the inauguration,
where the president comes. President Carter was in the room. Many others were in the room.
I had the privilege during that extraordinary service of sitting next to you during that time.
Obviously, neither of us had any idea of what lay ahead for the country, particularly for you.
if you don't mind, for those unfamiliar with your story, because this, your story is so seminal.
It's not just your story.
It's the story of what happened to America.
Tell us, if you don't mind, refresh my audience in terms of what happened to you.
Because as I see it, at least the short version, is that you were effectively deputized by God and by the President of the United States to do the right thing with regard to.
to what we now call the deep state.
You knew where the bodies were buried.
They came after you like crazy.
My guess is Trump didn't see it coming.
And before it was, well, what happened was you were ousted in a way that was the beginning of sorrows,
the beginning of how we get to where we are today.
Yeah.
You know, and if you think about, you know, to put in sort of biblical
terms, because I lived in the valley of the shadow of death, right? I mean, Psalm 23. And I think when you say
at the beginning of sorrows, you know, that moment, which is a very historic moment for the country,
I firmly believe, Eric, that my departure, and I don't say this loosely at all or without great
humility, but my departure from the White House changed the course of history for the United
States of America. And to me, personally, that is that is the moment that I entered, you know,
Psalm 23 to be, to be, you know, faith-based about this because I lived in that, in that valley
of the shadow of death, you know, and the other part of that phrase that, that sort of idea is,
you know, but, you know, I will fear no evil because thou art with me, you know. And that took me a while
to come to grips with that because I was really, you know, I was questioning everything after
my departure. But prior to my departure, yeah, there was, I mean, up to and including the former
president or the president of the United States at that time, Barack Obama, actually told President
Trump in the transition for the entirety of the United States of America, told President Trump,
you know, not to hire me. And yet Barack Obama twice.
Eric hired me to be not only the assistant director of national intelligence in one role,
but also to be the head of the defense intelligence agency.
So he hired me twice to do that.
Okay.
He hired you twice because he thought you could be flipped or you could be kept on their side of things.
And when they saw who you were, they decided you needed to be gotten rid of quickly.
Exactly. And then, you know, and then sort of the insurance policy kicked in. And for those people that really want to follow, you know, on my various social media or they can go to generalflin.com, I have it posted. You know, I filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice recently, Eric, about a month ago. And it's a story. That lawsuit, it's not just a lawsuit. And it's really, you know, there's the money side of it and all that. But that's less important.
What I want.
Let's just hit pause there because this is a lot more here, folks,
talking to Lieutenant General Michael Flynn.
Don't go away.
Folks, I'm talking to General Michael Flynn, my privilege.
General Flynn, let's just keep going.
You were in the course of making a point.
What I was talking about was that, you know, I filed a lawsuit that tells a story about all of this.
And it really goes into not just the,
you know, the specifics, but it goes into the strategic overview of why.
What it was that they were so afraid of.
And I've learned this phrase, Eric, that, you know, when you're talking about good versus evil,
because that's really what this is all about in what's going on in our country today,
evil fears what they cannot control.
And I wasn't somebody who was, you know, bought and paid for.
wasn't a compromised military officer. I was an officer that rarely, actually, rarely served in
Washington, D.C. I'd spent five years of my life in various combat operations from Central America,
the Caribbean, and places like Haiti. And then, of course, in the Middle East and Central Asia,
I've been, you know, in environments over in Europe. I've been environments over in the Pacific,
in Korea, in Japan. So my wealth of experience,
It was military. It was certainly the intelligence community all the way up to the highest levels of the intelligence community.
And we can go into some detail if you think your audience would like to hear some of that because it's important, I think.
But now I'm going into the political battle, the political warfare, right?
And political warfare in our country has completely changed.
This is no longer about Republicans wanting little government and Democrats wanting big government.
Now we're talking about a complete shift of our ideology from essentially a constitutional republic with capitalism as part of our essence to an American form of socialism, you know, with a happy face, right?
Where that's that's one of the biggest lies.
And that's putting it nicely, frankly.
It's really going more toward a Chinese form of authoritarian state control with not such a happy.
face. It's become dramatically dark very quickly.
Exactly. That they were pretending as long as they could pretend that it was kind of a happy
socialism like Sweden or something like that. But we pretty quickly seen where it actually
goes because let's put it clear, let's make it clear. Trump inadvertently, as far as I'm concerned,
showed them for who they are.
His simple presence, his bringing in people like you,
scared them to death, caused them to behave dramatically, desperately,
and to out themselves as fundamentally anti-American,
atheistic, pro-China, communistic, whatever you want to call it,
in a way that they'd never done before, let's be honest.
You know, Obama was not advertising that side of things.
I think that's right.
I think what happened was they,
They, you know, the Democratic Party, the Democratic machine, the left, they firmly believe that Hillary Clinton was going to be hands down the winner of the 2016 election.
And, you know, lo and behold, Donald Trump wins.
So when that happened, the entire, their entire methodology and plan, their strategic plan to basically move the country down a different path, which is down this path towards communism, changed.
And it changed because Donald Trump got in the way.
And I think your word is precisely chosen and wise, which is inadvertent.
So in an inadvertent way, he got in the way.
And so now all of a sudden, you know, the drain the swamp, right?
Drain the swamp.
That really wasn't something that Donald Trump came up with.
That actually came from the campaign, and it came from the audiences that he was talking to
because people looked at Washington, D.C. as this, you know, as this very crucial.
corrupt bastion of what I, you know, what we now call the Uniparty. And it's just, it really is corrupt.
And I think that, you know, for Donald Trump, he was not as savvy about the ways of Washington,
D.C. I mean, the guy had only been there probably less than nine or ten times in his life.
I mean, look, let's be honest, no one was particularly savvy about this. I mean, I was completely
deluded or thought, well, there's some truth to it. It wasn't until the advent of Trump.
that this blew up and that we basically flushed the birds from the bushes and we kind of saw,
oh, we didn't know what we had. Now we see it and it's now it's open warfare effectively.
Yeah, it is open warfare and it's open ideological warfare. And, you know, I call it,
I call it fifth generation warfare. It's a war of narratives. You know, it's a combination of hybrid,
unrestricted, you know, irregular, if you want to use those types of words for people,
that want to go look those up, and I've written a book about that, you know, the Citizens' Guide to
Fifth Generation Warfare. And that's kind of what we're at right here at home. So that's the
fifth generation warfare component of it, because it's a mix of this war of narratives that is a,
that is a complete shift. These are tectonic shifts domestically about the direction that our country,
that people in our country want to take us ideologically, politically, right? Sociologically,
culturally, in order to change, you know, if you're, you know, I've led big organizations up to and
including organizations with as many as 20,000 people, you know, from a platoon of 45 to to the
Defense Intelligence Agency of 20,000. And whenever you want to affect an organization, you have to
understand its culture, and then you have to try to change its culture. Well, the left has really
been working hard on this cultural shift of America.
for a long time. And, you know, one of those areas is in the education system, right? I mean, you know, we can, we can have an entire series of shows on the education system, Eric.
I look, I want to, I already want to have you back. This is what happens. Like, I'm thinking to myself, there's so much I want to talk to you about that you're uniquely positioned to speak on. And so, I mean, I want to respect your time today. But this is very, very, very important, everything we're talking about. What you just said, I mean, we're talking about background.
but what you just said about where we are today, many people have said this.
But it seems that if a group of people had gotten control of the country, whether by stealing an election or by fooling people into voting, it doesn't matter.
Although just, you know, if you're keeping score at home, it was stolen.
But the point is, if they got the control and then said, okay, our goal is to destroy the nation as quickly as possible.
possible. Nothing could really compare to what has happened in the short term of the Biden administration.
We could go chapter and verse ultra disaster after disaster, things that we could never dream of
happening or happening. When we come back, I'm talking to General Michael Flynn. Don't go away.
Folks, I'm talking to General Michael Flynn. All right, you said you wanted to talk about where we are
domestically, go ahead.
Yeah, so domestically, you know, there's a, there is a, so for people to understand the critical
components of the U.S. government, and we think about the House of Representatives and the
Senate and all these other things, there's actually other institutions of the bureaucracy that
control much of the levers of real power.
One of them, you know, Eisenhower warned about the military industrial complex.
JFK, only a few years later, started to tell, you know, he started to tell, you know, he started to
to really warn us about the, you know, this intelligence system that was, that was rearing
its ugly head. And, of course, we know what happened to JFK. But what has happened in it.
I mean, look, we're not joking. This is the deep, what we call the deep state today.
Deeply nefarious, which is to say. These are two presidents that warned us. That's right.
So I mean, I have such deep knowledge of the history of some of this. So let's fast forward to
the last couple of years when we talk about the deep state and what's happening domestically.
What we have, we have the entirety of the intelligence community, which has really grown in such an extraordinary way, frankly since 9-11, and there's a lot there.
But it's grown and it's over, it's overreaching now into the lives of everyday citizens.
Well, look, and I want to be clear.
And a lot of stupid conservatives like Eric Metaxus cheered this on, utterly oblivious to what was happening.
And of course, now by God's grace, repenting of that foolishness.
But that's exactly what happened.
I saw some of this as I was leaving the military.
As I was coming into the last couple of years of my career, I'm now at those levels.
And I'm like going, wait a second, folks.
This is not how we're supposed to function.
And, you know, as a military guy, I'm answering to the commander-in-chief, you know,
and I'm pushing back.
But they didn't always like that.
But, you know, I ended up leaving the military.
That's okay.
But now we have the.
intelligence community. We have the Department of Justice, right? And the Department of Justice
is another massive lever of power because a lot of people don't know the FBI is not some
independent organization. The director of the FBI works for the Attorney General, who works for
the President of the United States. So the FBI is actually a subordinate organization
to the Department of Justice. So that lever of power is the rule of law in this country.
Yes. That is a big deal. So if they decide to come and knock on your door, Eric, or come and
of my door, for any reason under God's green earth, they can. And then they can say, you know,
we're going to come in and search your home, and we're going to take you in for questioning.
And they can do it. And they can do it now for national security reasons, right? They don't even
have to tell you what the reasons are. They just bring you in. That's the second part.
So intelligence community, the rule of law institutions, the Department of Justice, the FBI.
And then the third part is the White House itself. So the White House, and one of the places where
I was going to change was I was going to change the structure of the national security system,
right? The National Security Council, to start with, had close to 500 people. At the height of the
war against Russia, when Russia was the Soviet Union and it was a Warsaw Pact versus the West,
at the height, the National Security Council had about 45 people. When I took over, we had close to 500.
it's totally unnecessary. So the White House is also consumed by elements of this deep state,
particularly those two two that I mentioned, those two components that I mentioned. And that's a
very dangerous thing because really what you don't want to do is you don't want to limit the
information going to the President of the United States. So if you have a big structure
inside the White House, which we do, and frankly, to name a name, Susan Rice is still back
in the White House. She's still running the
she's sort of the engineer running the trains every day.
I mean, that's...
I don't remember.
Did the American people, did they elect Susan Rice?
We'll put a pin in it.
And when we come back at the beginning of hour two, we'll answer that question, parentheses, no.
We'll be right back.
