Greg Locke. He is a pastor in the Nashville area. who specializes in, at this point, deliverance, casting out demons.

Ken Fish has been doing this for many, many years. In fact, Christians have been doing this for, oh, I don't know, 2,000 years. But there are a lot of people that don't believe it. So we're going to be talking to Pastor Greg Locke. He is a firebrand. I just love him. And the film has come out in Jesus' name. It's not out yet, right? No, no, it's a week from this money. When I was a kid growing up with them, when they said, eat all your food. It wasn't just like, hey, eat all your food. It was we remember a few decades ago. literally not having food. I've shared the story on this program that my grandmother, whom I write about in my book Fish out of Water, my mother says that she remembers coming home one day from school, and my grandmother was at the kitchen table weeping

because she had no food for them, nothing. It's unbelievable what people go through. And I think part of what God is doing in the world today is he is waking up the Western Church to the plight of people around the world. We have to get out of our heads and out of our luxury and understand that what you have is a blessing, and there are many people around the world who don't have it. And they are suffering. There's real evil and brokenness in the world, but God blesses us by allowing us to do something

about it. So we've got to do something about it. So one of the few things we do is every year around this, time, we appeal to you to donate to Food for the Poor. And when they come back, they usually go to the other homes, asking for beans, for tortillas, in order to have something to eat at night. So if we can have this, please do it. All right, well, we can help them. I want to say again, you know, in my book Fish Out of Water, I write about how my mother remembered a man, an old man gathering nettles.

Some of you know what those are. They grow usually by water. And she told me the story that she remembered an old man gathering nettles, wild nettles, just to have something to eat that night. That's when my mom was a kid. This is happening today. The clip we just heard, that's happening today.

People are just scrounging to have something. So instead of eating leaves, you can make it possible for kids and families to get good nutritious food for an entire year. He has run 145 marathons. That's 26.2 miles. One each day consecutively for 140, I guess today is 147, 146, 147, every single day.

Wow. He must not have an office job then. Oh, let me tell you. I ask him, how are you doing this, Malachi? He's pretty young, but he's not that young. He's not a kid. He's got four or five kids of his own. He's just an amazing person.

So next week, so I'm going to be in St. Louis this weekend. I'm going to meet him at LaGuardia Airport when I fly back. He's flying in from Kansas City where he lives. On Monday, he and I are going to run together. So he's going to run his marathon. I'm going to run with him. I don't know how far I'm going to go, certainly nowhere near that length. I'll be lucky if I did half of that.

In fact, I don't even think I'll try. Can I do a quarter mile with you guys? Sure. Yeah, thanks. But no kidding. We're going to do this on Monday, okay? So he's going to run his 151st marathon on Monday in New York City. He will run his 152nd marathon on Tuesday in New York City,

after which he will come on this program. to tell us about it. That night he flies home, and by God's grace, if he is able to do this, the next day, which is next Wednesday, at home in Kansas City with his family, he will run the last marathon, 153. That's a biblical number. That's a number of fish that Jesus caught. He's got an Irish first name and an Irish second name. Yes. Malachi O'Brien. Malachi O'Brien. Oh, man, Lachai. Yeah, exactly.

Top of the morning to you. And he is, but I can't, I just can't believe, anybody who's run a marathon. I've never run a marathon. I'm a runner. Oh, my gosh. One a day. That's amazing. So if it all works out, next week on this program, I am going, now I'll put some of this stuff on my social media if you follow me on Instagram or whatever.

But he's going to be in the studio with us after having run his home. 152nd marathon. I've known you for some time. And the fact that you made this film, that's what we're talking about, is a documentary that you have made. I have watched. The title of it has come out in Jesus' name. And it is a documentary about you. your experience as a Baptist cessationist pastor who didn't want anything to do with this stuff to somebody whom God has grabbed and pulled into the middle of this.

I take this stuff very seriously. I think this is just a work of God in our generation. So I want to get your story. But before we get to the story, what made you to see? decide to make a film about this subject? Because there's a lot of people experiencing stuff, but to make a film that's coming out March 13th in theaters, Monday, March 13th called Come Out, in Jesus Name, Documentary. What made you decide to make a film? You know, I wanted to take the spooky level out of deliverance ministry because it's been

done in a cave and under a blanket in the dark for so long. I wanted pastors to understand this is a theologically well-made movie from start to finish. It takes out the hokeyness, But then it allows people, because people are going to go see this movie, even if their pastor suggests that they don't. And they're going to come back and start asking questions and be like, why is it that Jesus did this a third of his ministry? And we have nothing to do with this. And so I wanted it to start a conversation, not just from the pulpit, but accentuating the pulpit all over the world saying, look, why aren't we doing the ministry of Jesus? If it was important to him, why is it not important to the church? And that's really the reason I came to Wayne and the guys here at Lock Media and I said, if we're going to do a documentary, let's not just do.

Let's see if we can get it in theaters and the fact that God put it in 2000 theaters and it's selling out all over America is indicative of the fact people want to know about spiritual warfare. Well, I mean, listen, I talk about this stuff on this program all the time, even though this is not a religious program or a Christian program. I just talk about everything. But the idea that there are people, and you were one of them who had a theological reason. They have a theological reason that they give for why. this stuff is not happening today. Why people are not casting demons out today.

Oh, yeah, yeah, Jesus did it, but we don't do it today. Oh, there were healings back then. There were miracles. But that ended, you know, when we had the canon of scripture, which is just a load of nonsense. It's just amazing. But that's the theological reason people give. But I believe it's about respectability.

And you talk about this in the film, come out in Jesus' name, that there are people they want to have a respectable Christianity. They don't want to get in with the weirdos who they get into that stuff. And you point this out in the film. I mean, when you see someone suffering and you think it might be that,

how can you, if you love God and your fellow man, how can you not want to find out how to help that person? I mean, you talk about that in the film. Why would we leave them that way? Yeah. And I mean, and I left people that way for 20, 30 years. And I knew they were in torment. I knew something was wrong with them.

And so now I'm to a place where I tell them, look, kind of like what Derek Prince said, you know, one of the generals of deliverance ministry years ago, let me approach this as a supernatural problem. I'm not going to approach this from medication. I'm not going to approach this from a scientific standpoint. Let me approach this as if it is a tormenting evil spirit and let's see what happens. And 99% of the time you're going to be able to free that person

because there's power in the name of Jesus. There's no real methodology to it. It's a message. And the message is, come out in Jesus name. And so it's interesting because, you know, you say I had a theological proclivity to not want to go in that. Really, I had a denominational reason I didn't go into that because denomination taught me to view the Bible through a specific lens. And it wasn't just Baptist.

I mean, I'm shocked at how many Pentecostal charismatic churches think we're crazy and think that stirring up demons and getting people freedom and deliverance ministry to them is nothing more than a 1970-something Burt Reynolds movie, right? I'm telling you, deliverance is the children's bread, and it is a shame that so many pastors want to be dignified and don't want people to be delivered. They care more about the color of the carpet than they do the cleansing of people's hearts. And so once I saw it one time, that's all it took, Eric, one time I knew I can never put this back in the box, and I'm going to be biblically responsible for what happens in our church moving forward. All right, now you say one time, because I saw the film come out in Jesus.

name, which again, it opens in theaters Monday, March 13th. Are you referring to the girl in the bathtub with her grandmother that you are, you're doing your baptism. It's on live stream. Is that what you're talking about? Yeah, that was the time that it became surreal to us in that moment. That was two kingdoms colliding. I'd never see anybody manifest a cat, you know, in a baptismal celebration.

So talk about, talk about that, because that was really, you know, very compelling when I saw it. Yeah. You know, I had seen, you know, even talk about the movie in third world countries and Africa in various places, you know, demonic manifestations, but I just fluffed it off. And I knew voodoo was real, witchcraft and magic was real. But we had been talking, my wife and I just privately in our bedroom every night praying, Lord, is this deliverance thing? Is this real? What about demons? Where did they go when Jesus cast them out? Are they still here? And then all of a sudden, we're doing all these baptisms, I mean, which is nothing new to us. We've baptized 7,500 converts in the last, you know, three years during the whole COVID debacle. And so, So I'm like, you know, this is just normal. I turn around. Here's a grandmother with an eight or nine-year-old granddaughter in her arms, already in the baptistry. In my baptistic mind, I'm like, oh, my goodness, we got a two-for-one deal, you know. But I didn't want to embarrass her on a live stream.

We have such a massive audience watching us. So I just went through my little deal, and I started to baptize him. And that girl's eyes just changed. She began to hiss and whine like a cat when she came up out of the water, which she barely even went into, although her grandmother did. She stood up and she had her fingers out like they were claws. Hang on, we're going to come right back to this, folks. This is important stuff.

So, Greg, you were just talking about one of the central scenes, a moment that, a moment that changed your life because you are baptizing. You have this big ministry. People are getting baptized. And so that night we just laid in the bed and we we we wept. I mean, just I still get emotional when I think about this, wept before the Lord. And that was our watershed moment. And I was like, there's no way that is the love of God for that little girl. we know that was a demon. Why can we go on in the ministry denying that? And so from there, it was just step by step by step. And within probably four or five months, I got up, preached on deliverance from demons. It broke out in our church and thousands and thousands of people

come to our church on a very regular basis for one service, for a deliberate service. And that's the evening service on Sundays. Evening service every Sunday night. And what part of Nashville is your church in? Mount Juliet, or seven miles straight east of the airport. Mount Juliet, okay. Now, I just want to say when I came to faith seriously in 1988, miraculously, I knew immediately all this stuff was real, but I had not seen it until more recently.

I've got a friend Ken Fish, who's been on this program many times. In fact, I try to connect you with him at some point about a year ago. Ken Fish has been in the deliverance ministry for years and years, and I have seen this doing ministry with him. And when you see it with your own eyes, there's zero doubt that something's making this up or that this is what. It is, you know exactly what it is. I was even ministering with him. This happened in New York City that I saw this, the demons manifesting.

This happened in Greece. We were in Athens, Greece together, ministering. And it was unbelievable. When you see this happen. But what I find interesting, and that's why I like the title come out in Jesus' name, is that the demons are scared to death of the name of Jesus and the power of Jesus. So a lot of times people portray it like, oh, I'm scared. I don't want to get near the demonic.

It's like, no, no, no, no. If Jesus lives inside of you and you know your authority in him, the demons want to hide from you, they are scared of you. So when people say, oh, I don't want to get near this stuff, God wants you to get near it to free these people. So this little girl you're talking about, it breaks my heart as a dad, you know, you're thinking that this girl, something happened in her life. We don't know what it was, but that she is dealing with a demon.

It's obvious you say in the film that that's why she was there. The grandmother was trying to get this kid something. She didn't know what, but that's why she was there. And we had no idea at that moment what we were doing. But again, it was the impetus to get us to where we are to this day. And so now God's allowing us to kind of be global tip of the spear when it comes to deliverance ministry and bring a massive awareness to it. That's why we're putting out the movie because people are going to have to answer the question. Are we going to get back to the ministry of Jesus in the New Testament church or are we going to ignore it?

Well, and I know, listen, I know plenty Christians that are, because you deal with this in the film, come out in Jesus name. By the way, folks, you can go to come out in Jesus name.com, come out in Jesus' name.com. But you talk about this in the film that a standard reaction that Christians also have. They say, well, wait a minute. When I accepted Jesus, the Holy Spirit came to live inside me. Done. I'm done. There can't be any demonic whatever, whatever the terms we use. That's just flat out not true.

That there are people, tons of people in the church who have accepted Jesus into their hearts, who are nonetheless oppressed by some demonic entity that you make clear in the film. has a legal right to be there, whether it's unforgiveness or whatever it is, a family curse, whatever. So we need to get away from that idea that, well, if you're Christian, that can't happen. We're not talking about possession, folks. We're talking about oppression, whatever it is. It's real. And again, it's pure compassion as Christians, how can you not want to heal these people?

How can they walk in victory if we don't have a place for them to go? So I know that's one of the reasons you made this film. Yes, absolutely. Without a doubt, we want to see people set free. That's it. We don't care about the income. We care about the outcome. And the outcome is we want to see people set free through the power and authority of the name of Jesus. And if preachers don't want to see that, they need to question their motives. What do you want? Do you want dignity or do you want deliverance? Do you want to see your people set free? Stop preaching these cute motivational pop psychology sermons and start preaching the gospel. And a result of preaching the gospel is they shall cast out devils in my name. They shall lay hands on the sick. And they shall cover. It's an evidence. It's a powerful evidence of the fact that the gospel is real. I mean, I just want to challenge people. First of all, drag your Baptist friends. Drag your friends to see this film. Because my question is always, once you see it, I'm going to say, okay, what did you see? What do you think that was? There are people just getting emotional? Could be. Sometimes people get emotional and weird, but not in all the cases. Some of this stuff is

clear as a bell. And again, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I have seen this. And I have ministered in deliverance a little bit. And it is, it is as real as, you know, when we're talking about the invisible world of atoms, you know, people say, well, I don't think there's any atoms. I don't believe I. I can't see them. Well, you know, if you do a little research, you'd realize, well, they're there. It's just, you got to, you got to deal with that. We're going to go to a break. When you start asking the difficult, uncomfortable questions, pastors don't want to answer them, you're asked to leave. and I'm telling you the beautiful thing about the ministry of Jesus to answer that question in Mark Chapter 1 that was a man that flared up in the synagogue. Here's what Jesus did. Jesus left the man in the church service and took the demon out of the man. But in modern day evangelical Christianity,

we'd have left the demon in the man and kicked him out of the church service. Well, it's an unbelievable thing. I mean, I know people in leadership in big deal churches in New York that have had all kinds of demonic oppression. there are wonderful people walking around. They don't know where to turn. They're hearing voices. There's this, there's that, there's different, all kinds of manifestations. And it's funny because we accept it, you know, when you're watching, you know,

some kind of a reality show about ghosts or whatever. You know, most people know there's something real, but to present it biblically, as you do in the film, and I keep mentioning my friend Ken Fish, I mean, there is. no doubt that this is real and that there are tons and tons and tons of people aching to be delivered, but they don't know where to turn. In whatever dead, respectable church they go to, they don't talk about this stuff. Folks, that's not okay. It's one of the reasons I'm so excited about this film. You've got a lot of people in the film. We're going to have you on, again, to discuss this for Friday. But you have a lot of people in the film, including a guy from

the Bronx. I'm in New York City, and I just thought, holy cow, there's a church in the Bronx that deals with this. Tell us about that man before we go to the end here. Yeah, Alexander Pagani. He's one of the main people in the movie. He helped us get involved in Deliverance Ministry long before I even knew him. And he's right there, amazing church. Also, Mike Signorelli, V1 Church. He's up there in New York. So you have two neighbors that are actively, actively involved in, I mean, global experience when it comes to deliverance ministry. Do you know where Mike Signorelli's church is? He's got a couple of campuses right there in the area.

I know they've bought out a number of theaters. I honestly, I can't believe this. I mean, I live in New York City, and I'm not even aware of this. But, I mean, that's amazing to me, because I want to know about this. I want to say, again, this is real. And you and your wife, you obviously have compassion. And so you've kind of taken this to the so-called next level where you're doing this every weekend in your church in Mount

Juliet near Nashville. Yes. And there's no slowing of it. You would think after doing this for so long, people would quit coming. People show up just for that one service and they're set free. And we still have weekly, daily appointments on top of all that. It's life-changing.

I mean, when you see somebody set free from something like that, it just brings tears to your eyes because the thought that they've been walking around with this for so long and they don't know where to go. I mean, I think of how many people go to church every week. and they are ashamed or afraid to bring this up. Because of this bad theology, we've been talking about the cessationist theology. It's respectable, and we're a respectable church. We don't do that.

That is just, that right there is out of the pit of hell, because that's exactly what the enemy wants us to do.
