Oh, thank you. Yes, Eric. Yeah, no, it's exciting because this is a unified effort. There is real power when people come together for something so incredibly important as this moment in joining together in prayer and fasting to know that other people. To know that leaders are going to be doing it. To know that influencers, everybody should be involved in this. Everybody, whether it's going to this website and signing up or on their own, everybody should be anybody who cares about America and is out there talking and is out there hitting the streets, they need to really do this. because here's the thing, you can do all the other things,

but if we do not bring in the power of God in the center of this, there is no guarantee of anything. It doesn't matter how good the polls look or don't look. If we get back in our heels and we become spectators, watching the election as opposed to spiritually changing the election, we're going to be in trouble. We're going to leave it to chance. And right now, if you look at the election,

This is really our first post-election presidential election, meaning it used to be in America that you'd say, okay, all we have to do is get more votes than the other person. This is different. Nobody knows what's going to happen on November 5th from a natural standpoint, right? Nobody knows, see, now we're gauging it not just on who gets the most votes, but we're gauging on how well will we stop any potential fraud. That was never America growing up. Isn't that amazing? Jay, no. It is.

It's a two-front war. We've never seen that before. We've never seen that before. You're quite right. That even though I'm thinking about, oh, are we going to win the election? I'm also asking, are we going to win the election, even if we win the election? We could win the election, and there could be fraud. There could be, listen, I've said this before.

We're dealing with evil. We're dealing with people that they will do literally anything to. to stop Donald Trump. They don't even know why they want to stop Donald Trump. They're animated by a demonic delusion that he's Hitler and that they've got to stop him. They will do literally anything to stop him. They will lie. They will gaslight. They will project their evil onto us. This is so funny. I've mentioned it before. Bonhofer's like distant relatives and a bunch of Bonhofer scholars put out a statement worried that I am using Bonhofer's name to incite political violence.

They're saying this, right? So they've got some crazy idea in the head that, oh, there's going to be a J6 thing and all these MAGA people are not going to allow the election. Meanwhile, that is precisely what they would do if they could. They did it on J6. They'll do anything to cling to power. they'll lie about it. We have never faced this before. And I really think it's good because it forces us to see like, hey, hey, this is demonic, folks. If you don't pray, if you don't understand what you're dealing with, you can't win in the natural. You're dealing with demonic forces. They do not respect truth. They have contempt for truth. They have contempt for our form of government. We've never dealt with this in America before. So you're exactly right. Right. And I go through all of this in my letter to America first leaders, Republican leaders, Democrat leaders. that that whole idea right now, that that's where we are right now.

And when you're dealing with such evil, you just study evil in history, the spirit of hearing what worked throughout, what was working in the leaders and in those movements throughout history is exactly what's working in America and the West right now. It's very, very clear. So there is no winning this in the natural. We can forget that. There is no, hey, hopefully at the election, it'll go fine. and it'll go on. There's none of that. What there is is empowering people to do their job.

So if people are spiritually prepared for the battle and they're strong, it'll turn the evil back at the gate. If they're not, we're going to have a repeat of 2020. It will be disastrous. And even if Trump will win, I mentioned this last week, the entire America First Movement and every honest Democrat, every independent, everybody who's come on board has to be full engaged for a long period of time. And I wanted to mention some of you were talking about before, and that is the Democrats are not our enemies. The rank and file Democrat, our neighbors, our friends, they are not our enemies. They're fellow Americans who have been caught up in something that they haven't fully realized. And I think that's just so important because, again,

I'm like you. Had Joe Biden won a totally fair election, nobody would have been happier than made, not because I'm supporting Joe Biden, but because of America. If he did a great job, if this administration right now is doing an amazing job, I'd be thrilled. It really goes back to about our country. And we have let evil get so deeply rooted into the fabric of every aspect of our society that we don't even know what this country looks like. We cannot predict what things will be like on December 1st. We don't know what will be things will be like a year from now. And that's why praying and fasting and bringing the power of God into it is the only thing that is going to really break this evil trap that we're in.

And as you and are saying, a lot of people are dealing on a surface level, oh, we've got to win the election. Well, how about dealing with the fact that you can't win an election if the other side is committed to stealing the election? How about dealing with that? We've got to deal with that. We've got to deal with the lies. We've got to deal with the lies that came out, the COVID lies, the vaccine lies, the members of the intelligence community that said the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. These are despicable lies. And they are absolutely showing contempt for the American people. Like, you're so stupid. We're going to,

we've got to deal with that because we the people are supposed to be the leaders of this country. And if we allow them to get away with that, then it's on us. Yeah, it's a mockery. It's, And it's an affront to God. It's a lot of these things, the level of evil is so, it's such a high level that it's actually, they're literally lying to God's face, almost daring God. I remember when President Biden said, well, the only way I'm not going to run is if the Almighty comes down and he's not going to do that. Well, like two weeks later, he was ousted, right?

So this is a real challenge. And I think a lot of the people, there's a lot of leaders out there in the Democratic Party, they don't know the level they're caught up. And if you look at, you know, if you understand scripture, and I put this in the letter, they themselves are being used by higher levels of wickedness. They're just pawns in a much higher spiritual game because Paul talks about principalities and powers and wickedness in high places, rulers in high places. And that's really where the battle is. That's just true. And I have never found it more easy to talk to people about good versus evil than now. I got to say we're out of time, but folks, many people I know in 2016 voted for Hillary,

Jay, welcome back. You're on this program, I don't know, a couple of years ago. Your website is Strengthen the Nation.com.

I was telling my audience that you and I've known each other for like 34 years. You're somebody that you know the importance of America and you know the importance of praying and fasting for the country. And so this is something you've just kind of taken on. Yeah. This really began years ago when I saw the direction that we were going in, and now the situation is acute. But years ago, I said, I was looking around,

and the country that we grew up in was slipping away from us 20, 25 years ago. And I saw it, you saw it, a lot of people saw it, and I thought, you know, if we don't get the right leadership in place across every spectrum, we're going to end up in a situation exactly as we are today. And so it's, you know, thinking back, I couldn't imagine that this was even possible that we would allow it to be lost to this degree. So the idea in the beginning was, let's pray, let's let everybody increase our intensity,

otherwise we're going to lose the country. And that has been slowly happening, as you know, over the years. And over the last four to five years, what we've seen is it just daggers the imagination. Well, you and I both understand the importance of America. And I want to be real clear, folks. I mean, most people listen to this program know this already, but we're not just chest beating like, hey, America is great. No, no, no, America is unique in world history. Biblical principles made it possible for human beings to govern themselves for the first time in

history. And we have had that glorious privilege for two and a half centuries almost, but it's based on people being virtuous. It's based on people having faith. And so at the heart of it all is that. It's inescapable. And as we've drifted away from that, we now are at a place where we're sliding into godless socialism and communism where the state tells you what to do, where you no longer govern yourself. You're governed by an all-powerful state. And if we don't win this election, that's where we are. Now, that's no exaggeration. If you listen to the program, I've made the case. This is not an exaggeration. This is not just, oh, this is an important election. No, this is an election that's going to determine everything. I'm sorry to say that, but that's a fact. And so, Jay,

what can people, what can people do? I mean, in your view? Well, I think the most important thing is people have to approach this. You know, let me just say, it's not just November 5th. Things have gotten so far out of control. The American people are not in control of their government anymore. And the leading proof, well, there's many proofs, but just look at the border. In a same country where we, the people were actually running things, would we allow millions of illegal immigrants just to come flowing in? No. So there has been this law. So we're at a point right now that generally in our lives, we should be spiritually empowered.

We should be closer to God. That would be the normal routine for any Christian, any believer of any kind. Now it's imperative that we approach this period of the next election period and then over the next year or two from a spiritual standpoint. And that means to recognize the desperate situation where it, because it's not hyperboate, right? There's no exaggeration. This is critical. We're going to lose it all. And it's going to be misery and brutality.

So everyone's got to just up their game. And this is the approach, let's just say the election period, has got to be, instead of being a spectator saying, well, I wonder who's going to win and look, Trump's up in a couple of polls. It's time to pray. It's time to get very, very spiritually strong. and not sit back, watch hours of Fox News. I'm not saying don't watch Fox News or News Max and see what's happening, but that'll put you flat with it. So it's got to be, how do I increase my intensity?

How do I get closer to God in this period? Because nobody, from what I can see, looking around, looking at the ordinary American, even very good people, they're watching baseball, they're watching football, which is fine. Nobody is prepared for what's going to happen on November 5th if things don't go the right way. Well, I want to say this because you're a health, you're a coach to people. emotional health, physical health. And this to me is kind of like if somebody says, you know what, you're not doing really healthy, you need to exercise, you probably should lose some weight, you should probably eat different. And the person goes, yeah, yeah, yeah. And they don't really do it. And then 10 years later, the doctor says, you're going to die. You're going to have a heart attack and die. If you do not quit smoking and lose 50 pounds, and if you do not do this and you're going to die.

So it's your choice. But I'm telling you, you've let things slide to a point where you are going to die. I'm a doctor. I can see your health. You need to get serious yesterday. And I've had friends that until it gets to that point, they don't get serious. They go, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, I'm fine, I'm fine. And then the doctor says, no, you don't understand.

You're going to die. You need to take care of this. That's how I feel the spiritual health of the nation is right now. Yeah. That we have let this slide. We've let it slide. We're now at the precipice of losing all of our liberties. Folks, I mean this, folks, losing your liberties.

You don't believe it. Read my Bonhofer book. You see, the Germans did not believe that things could go the way they went. And guess what? they did. Exactly. That's exactly correct. It has gotten to the point. And we are run, it's a lawless country right now. And you ask, why has that happened? Because you go back all over the years of allowing one crisis to go without being addressed, one lie by the media.

Just look what happened under, you know, President Trump, starting with the surveilling, going to the Russia collusion and the impeachment. Every single one of those set the precedent for the next attack all the way, and I predicted this all the way up to assassination attempts. But you're so right about the spiritual health of the country. It's a great analogy. And so right now we're at, we're pretty much at the end of the road. We're not finished.

The really, really good news is we can still win this. We can turn it around. But as you indicated earlier as we were talking about, it's a spiritual battle, so it's not going to be won on natural terms. And that's one of the greatest mistakes that we see a lot of leaders. We see a lot of our conservative media leaders making is that they're not addressing the spiritual issue. And we're at the point now where that is the first thing that should be mentioned. And so let's be clear, ladies and gentlemen, if we do not have revival in America, we're done.

So, yeah, we better win this election. If we don't win the election, we're done. but Donald Trump is not enough. He just makes it possible for us to do what needs to be done. He buys us the time. So number one, we need to fast and pray for this election. This is demonic attacks on our nation. There are literally witches trying to cast spells.

And you're right about when you said, going back to what you said about, this really is not about Donald Trump. It's, he's part of the solution. It's about every leader.

It's about every American. And every single person needs to step up. And in fact, every person who is hearing this and considers that all these great warriors out there, they all need to be fasting and praying for this election, including, including President Trump. You know, everybody needs to be doing it. Well, I was at an event literally. yesterday. So today is what? Today's Thursday. So last yesterday, I can't believe Wednesday, I was at an event pastors. It was Charlie Kirk's organization, T.P. USA Faith. It was all these pastors. There is a praying remnant in this country. And at the end of the day, all of these folks that were there, I came home to, you know, be with my mom and my brother. But all the folks who stayed,

they prayed for President Trump. The idea even that he would allow that. This is not a photo op, folks. Believe me, all those people over there, these are prayer warriors, praying for him, praying for the nation. When we come back, I'll continue my conversation with Jay Etzel. Folks, welcome back. in hour two today I have Sean Foyt and after Sean Foyt, John Bevere, very exciting. But right now I'm talking to my friend of many years, Jay Etzel. Jay, you're a prayer warrior. You fast, you pray, you counsel people on fasting and praying.

And right now we're in a crisis in America. So what do you say to people? I mean, you and I have talked about this, how clearly this is a special. spiritual battle. It's not a political, it's a political battle, but it's first a spiritual battle. And we have many people in this country out of line. They're not leading holy lives. They're not leading lives surrendered to Jesus. And they think we could have, you know, a great country anyway. But you know and I know that without a holy remnant of people praying, we lose America. Well, absolutely. And to me, it's just ordinary. I mean, I'm the least,

I'm the least candidate that would be, you know, involved in fasting. Anybody can fast. It's actually very simple. You don't have to do some long marathon fast, but anybody can do this and anybody can become strong in prayer. It's just a matter, are you a passionate person? Because if you're passionate and you love the country and you love your friends and you actually love your life and enjoy,

you said it so well earlier, I mean, America was, we grew up in a time when it was amazing, when you had the opportunity through the things, system to do anything that you want to do without interference. And we're losing that. So the point is, if you love life and you've got passion, then that's the key to praying. That's the key to living. That's the key to being spiritually empowered. That's the key to being close to God. It's almost a selfish motivation. If you love what's good, then it's easy to pray. And yeah, the fasting could be a of a challenge. But so what? All fasting is basically is that you are allowing one hunger to be

submitted to a much greater hunger. A temporary hunger, a normal desire for food is submitted to a higher desire for love, for life, for breakthroughs or whatever. So that's why we, that's the only reason I would ever even spend one day fasting is that there's something better on the other side of it. You know, it's funny. I want to tell my audience, they probably don't know, but I'm fasting right now. I fast between meals. Traditionally, I fast between meals, but real fasting. Real fasting is fasting during meals, not eating when you would eat a meal. But what you're bringing up a very important spiritual principle is that I think a lot of times people, you know, would see fasting as a bummer.

But the point is, ladies and gentlemen, you're trading something. Jay just said it. You're saying like, okay, I'm going to give this up, but I'm giving it up for something greater, for something more wonderful. And, you know, when in John 1010, I've come to give you life and to give you it more abundantly. God wants us to live fully. And so what this is, that's what this is. This is not about living less fully. It's about living fully. And so I have to say that this should be a part of all of our lives, but somehow, I don't know, we just get busy and we forget that God wants us, he wants all of us, and this is part of that. It's kind of like saying, like, I don't want to do exercise because, I don't know, I don't know, and you think, wait a minute, all of us should have

a lifetime of doing exercise. Some people are going to do more than others, but like this is pretty basic. If you want to live a good life, that's a basic thing, even if it's just walking every day or something like that. This is basic stuff. And so this really speaks to the spiritual health of the nation that we've kind of neglected this stuff. We've allowed ourselves, you know, to get into in a bad place. Right. And that's the larger point. It's the spiritual help of the nation and of the individual. So when you talk about fasting, that's a very small part of it. You know, people can fast a meal. They can fast a day. But the spiritual health is a lifestyle, right? It's a lifestyle. And even in this, I tell people, you know, even people that may not be inclined to really

normally pray. I mean, you've got a whole spectrum. of people that are believers out there. You really don't. And I tell everybody, just, you know what, during this whole election cycle and beyond, just walk every day and just do some praying, get encouraged, get fired up. It's about the abundant life. And that's really the tie-in to why we're even trying to save the nation, because a great America gives us the ability to live great lives. Now, that's up to us personally. But if they create enough lawlessness in this country, even the very best of us with the tightest game plan is going to suffer and be, I mean, poor leadership, just poor leadership really undermines a creative person's ability to be creative.

Corrupt leadership can outright destroy it. So again, we are. It's the abundant life. It's tied to the country. This is a very exciting time because even though it's extremely, and I want to make this point, right now things are extremely intense. number one because of all the insanity that we've gone through for the last number of years. And if we ever really step back to look at all the different elements of it,

the human brain cannot even hold all of those things at once. But we have lived through a lot of insanity. And the second part of why it's so intense and so dark is because this election is an acute moment. It represents the culmination. Will this usurping of our country, this tyranny, this lawlessness continue, or will it be stopped in its tracks? Now, one important aspect of that, it's not enough for America First Leaders to win office, whether the Democrat or Republican. It's not enough for President Trump to win. They have to follow through to the end to grade.

Remember, in 2016, Republicans won all three branches. A few years later, we were worse than ever in our history, not because they made us worse, but because, Because on the aggregate, because there wasn't enough intensity of recognizing the moment they were in. They had no idea. That's correct. Correct. They had no idea. And they're going to have to go scorched earth on the deep state, on the corruption. When we come back, I want to talk about this. But one of the things that you deal with is that you say we have to go, if Trump, by the grace of God is elected, we're going to have to go back and deal with the stuff we have not dealt with, allowing a deep state to get such control of the country that they could pretty much hobble a sitting president and lie, which is what they did when he was elected

in 2016. The idea that we have a deep state committed to stealing an election if it doesn't go the way they want, which is what they did in 2020. There are a lot of people on Fox News, for example, on Fox News, folks, not CNN, not MSNBC. They don't deal with this. They kind of act like, oh, well, we lost 2020. No, no. If we lost 2020, I would say, okay, we lost. We didn't lose it. stolen. There was a lot of corruption, a lot of evil. We have seen it in the last four years. It keeps coming out more and more and more and more. We need to get on the same page and find out what happened. So, Jay, what do you say about that? Well, you know, you're 100% correct. We've got to look at the fact that every single major problem we're having right now, even up to

potential nuclear conflict, could have been averted had our leadership done the really hard thing in 2020. And that would have been to say that election, the one fundamental fact that anybody looking at it would agree with is that that election failed to meet the standards of election integrity that an enlightened country would have and that the people would expect. So if nothing else, there is no way in the world that we can pretend now looking at it going from where we are now that the 2020 president election was a legitimate election according to what Americans expect. So having failed to do the most important thing, which would have been to have said, wait a minute, we have significant problems here, and we are going to get to the truth.

Even if Joe Biden, as he was, he went through the system legitimately, the system legitimately passed him along. So in that sense, I don't say he's an illegitimate president. I say the election was illegitimate. and the system then allowed that illegitimate election to pass. So every leader, pretty much from top to bottom, there was a systemic failure in protecting our country from handing over leadership to those who did not rightfully get it. And actually, I want to say, like, folks, you know, as a Christian,

this is about truth. You can't look the other way when truth is ignored. When there were discrepancies in the election, even if you're not convinced, oh, we was stolen. The fact of the matter is enough people, myself included, said, wait a minute, this doesn't look right. Now, if there are people saying it doesn't look right, you have to take that seriously. You have to find out, are they mistaken?

Do they have a point? Was there corruption? Were there people messing around, you know, producing ballots out of nowhere? In other words, facing it honestly and determining what happened. But what did they say, shut up, you're an election denier. let's move it along let's move it along and the establishment including mike pence went along with that narrative that's unacceptable in a country like ours it's simply unacceptable we have to actually have take truth seriously enough that we're willing to deal with this and and jay that's part of what

you're talking about is that didn't want to do that and they just said shut up shut up like we don't we don't want to talk about this and you think well wait a minute why wouldn't you want to talk about this this is legitimate and if it's not legitimate show me it's not legitimate show me it's not rather than telling me to shut up. Right. And that strategy, I mean, first of all, we got to look at the reality of everything. The entire pattern of corruption leading up to the election told us the election was going to be stolen. It's not like, hey, out of nowhere, they just did something uncharacteristic. They undermined our country by, I'll say, rigging the election, right? No, the patterns were

clear, and we could talk for hours about that. So who would think that that election, knowing that when the pandemic came, at a certain point the tides turn, when the response to the pandemic was there was a split between red and blue states, that's when I knew all roads lead to the 2020 presidential election. Months before, once the lockdowns went down to, you know, once 15 days to flatten the curve turned into two months and so far, they said, this is going to end up undermining the presidential election. And once the laws were changed, illegally, and unconstitutionally in those swing states. And I said it right from the beginning, there is 0% chance that President Trump is going to be reelected when the laws now favor chaos. So the set of lies that helped perpetrate the lockdowns,

obviously there was truth in there, there was mistakes made, but there was outright lies involved with the COVID response. That set of lies created the condition for the chaos of the 2020 presidential election. So one set of lies opened up the door for the greatest lie, probably in American history, which was that the 2020 president election was fair and free according to our standards. It was transparent.

It was strict. It was guarded. It was anything but that on every single level. Then the strategy to say, okay, we got overwhelmed. We got overwhelmed with COVID. We got overwhelmed with the riots during the summer. And we got overwhelmed on November 5th or whatever it was. So this is too much for us.

Let's just pass it on and we'll get them in the next election. That will go down in history as the greatest dereliction of duty ever in our country. And why is that? Because the results of that, the consequences have been not only devastating to America in ways that we may never recover, but hopefully with what's going to happen, the revival, and so forth it will. but also to the world, the misery, pain, and suffering that has been inflicted on the world, it's exponential.

It's so incredible that you and I, you know, we've known each other for a long time. Things have not been good in America, but it's kind of like you let things slide and slide and slide and slide. You don't deal with it. And it just gets worse and worse. I mean, it's a spiritual principle. It's a principle in everything with health, physical health, emotional health.

If you don't deal with something, it gets worse. That's why we're at this place right now. Yeah, I mean, if you look at great, great nations that collapse, they do so in stages. And I've studied this for 30 years. We're in the middle to late stages of a collapse or being driven into irrelevancy to where we will be submitted to global governing forces. And that's really the end goal, isn't it? I mean, we know that.

But it happens in stages. And one stage of lawlessness sets the next stage. We are further away at this point, we're further away from the shore. than we are closer to it. The goal, the challenge for all of us right now, that's what we're talking about everybody, everybody's got to step up now. Everybody's got, I don't care who they are. They've all got to step up. They all got to increase their intensity, their prayer, their abundance. You know, the way you beat evil is to be joyful, to be abundant. But that's where we're at right now. That's the only way to regain it because we're going to suddenly enough people right now are still asleep.

And by the time those people wake up, it's going to be too late. You know, it's exactly, I mean, I've been saying the same thing in a different way, because in letter to the American Church and in religionless Christianity, my two latest books, I talk about the concept that we're supposed to live our faith out in every sphere of our lives. So in what we eat, in what we do, in how we live our lives in the workplace, in politics, we're supposed to live out our faith everywhere. And we have had this. kind of hyper-truncated view of faith, like, well, faith is just, you know, I live my life normally, but then I go to church on Sunday. Maybe there's a Bible study, but that's really the enemy kind of pushing our faith into a corner, and we're complicit with him. We're supposed to live our life in every sphere. And, you know, because we're friends, I know that this is what you're saying as well. And it's like we're inviting people to live life abundantly, as you put it, in the In every part, this is not like you've got to, you've got to work harder or you've got to, in a way, you've just got to, you've got to rejoice more. You've got to live your faith more. And if you know Jesus, when you live your faith more, it is more joyful. It is more peaceful. It is more, this is not privation. You know, so it's kind of like saying somebody, you have to exercise. They go, oh, what a bummer. It's like, no, no, you don't understand. You're going to feel better. You're going to have more energy. You're going to have more. And that's really what we're saying about the faith issue. And we've kind of, we've let this slide.

in America for so long. I mean, it also goes along with civics that you've got to care more about your country. You've got to care about liberty. You're going to get it back tenfold. It's not like, oh, what a bummer. I've got to, you know, care about my country. No, you're going to give a better country.

You're going to live better. So we got 30 seconds left, Jay. Just final thoughts. Yeah, no, that was excellent. That whole concept of the only way life is, you know, where's the life right now? The life is instigating the country. People who are trying to avoid contact with this are not going to be where the action is.

Where is the action? It's in saving America. It's in stepping up. All these other things that we used to enjoy, they're not really enjoyable anymore because, look, I mean, Hollywood's gone woke. And I love sports, but professional sports. Look at, all the professional leagues have portrayed America. I mean, they've come back a little bit. So where you're going to really enjoy is get in the fire, get fired up.
