Here now is the handsome, attractive, striking, gorgeous, and quite frankly, breathtaking, Eric Mott, Texas.
Starting point is 00:00:50 We're joined now by one of our friends from the Job Creators Network. You can find them at Job Creators Network.com. And today we're joined by Mary. Thomas, Mary, welcome. Thank you. Thank you for having me. I want to talk to you in the time we have about how Donald Trump in this election, November 5th, so astonishingly won Hispanics to vote for him. This was historic stuff, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Historic, not just because of how many percent, the percentage of Hispanics that voted for Donald Trump, but how this signals at least. in my mind, a sea change in American politics. This is not a one-time thing. You know, like maybe, oh, they voted for him because he's Hispanic. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. This goes way deeper. And this is a, I think it's a big change. What do you know what the actual stats are in terms of previous performance of,
Starting point is 00:01:58 of Republican candidates and the last election? Yeah. So Trump increased its report by 14 points. So he was 32 points last election. He got up to 46 points this election with Hispanic voters. And that is, as you indeed said, is historic. It is the most votes that any Republican presidential nominee has gotten of the Hispanic vote. And what you're saying, I think the sea change is there, but we've got to make sure.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Critical point, we have to continue the efforts that he, really begun by speaking to people, you know, where they are. That's what we've been doing. Well, I mean, I want to say again that, you know, when I say it's historic, anybody who follows politics, a 14-point jump with a demographic like the Hispanics, that's outrageous. That's absolutely outrageous. And we're talking not from eight years ago. We're talking from four years ago. That's just monumental. I mean, it's earth-shaking. So to me, it's good news. But so what is behind it?
Starting point is 00:03:10 I mean, is the idea that, you know, I guess this is my theory is that like in this country, blacks and Hispanics typically have been taken for granted by the Democratic Party. They just sort of assume, oh, it's this tribalist group that they're just, they're part of our tribe. They have to vote for us. There's no choice. Something has changed where most people in this country, in this case we're talking about Hispanics, have said, no, we're going to vote based on. common sense based on our interests and we don't see our interests being served by the Democrats.
Starting point is 00:03:43 So on some level, this is a sign of health in the body politic to my mind. Oh, absolutely. I mean, I think you're right. People saw that they were being taken for granted, honestly, by both sides prior to President Trump coming forward. And he met people. He went out to their communities. He went to the bodegas. He met people where they are, and he talked to them about the issues that impact all Americans. So I think that's critical that he was kind of the impetus for a lot of the things that occurred. And, you know, I think, you know, to the Republican side in my 20 plus years in the conservative movement, you know, we have a hard time reaching out to different ethnic groups. But we are at a very unique moment in time.
Starting point is 00:04:32 thanks to President Trump and his leadership and his policies and his willingness to talk to everyday Americans. So we have to continue to build upon that, you know, the Hispanic population, 1.5 new Hispanic voters every single year. So they will continue to increase and grow in their impact. And so we've got to, you know, continue making genuine relationships with them. What is some of the work that you guys at the job creators network did? I mean, what is it that you guys do and in this case did with regard to Hispanic voters? Yeah, so we believe that, you know, we have to talk to people, just as President Trump did, where they are. So we traveled nationwide throughout the communities.
Starting point is 00:05:17 We worked with community leaders and gained their support. You know, we worked with Hispanic pastors, a network of 42,000 Hispanic pastors. throughout the nation. We talked to them and gave them the resources that they needed to, you know, inform their church members and get them out to vote. They were very, very enthusiastic. They said, no one from our side has really been out to see them before. So they were very happy with what we provided them. And we also worked with Job Creators Network. We're an advocate for small business owners everywhere. And so we worked with small business owners as well to deliver messages into their community, messages that would resonate with everyone, but we're using these trusted messengers,
Starting point is 00:06:04 which is really, really key to being able to get to these communities and to be able to, you know, have them listen to what we're actually saying. I know that you guys published a column, a real clear column. I'm not sure what the website is for that, but in the column, it says basically what I just said about two minutes ago, Trump recognized that Hispanics aren't an identity group that can be pitted against others in tribal political warfare. That's to me the old democratic playbook. It's like, we got this group, we got that group.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Something happened. Something's been happening. People have been waking up. But Donald Trump, somehow he understood that. Also, I think he's uniquely gifted in a way to, just to speak to people where they are. Absolutely. I mean, and I think everyone has been feeling the impacts.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Every American has felt the impacts of what's going on, right? In your, when you go to the grocery store, I mean, it's a lot more expensive that it used to be. Hopefully, with President Trump, that will be changing. We're very much looking forward to that. But, you know, people felt they saw their children being indoctrinated in schools, the Hispanic community, particularly. And this is nothing that they were. This is all the things that the Democrats were for, but we had to go out and affirmatively make our case.
Starting point is 00:07:27 So we talked to people and we talk to the pastors about how the values of the Republican Party align the most with biblical values and frankly with economic freedom and entrepreneurship as well. Most people listen to this program on radio. Some listen on podcasts. But what is the radio strategy? I understand that for some reason Hispanics are big radio listeners. Is that why George Soros just bought up like 200 radio stations? You are exactly right. So the Hispanic community in the U.S., there's a lot of manual laborers.
Starting point is 00:08:07 97% of Hispanic voters are listening to radio, and they're listening for 13 plus hours a week. So this is really a great medium, to reach them while they're working with their hands. You know, it's very connected to their culture. They get a lot of news from radio. So it's a very, very powerful medium. So maybe some Hispanics are listening right now.
Starting point is 00:08:32 And I'd like to say, I'm invitarte a my fiesta of their company. That's not true, but it's the only sentence that I can speak effectively. Actually, all right. So, and what are you guys doing now? Because obviously, it's kind of crazy. We haven't even had the inauguration, but we have to think forward about the midterms.
Starting point is 00:08:52 What are you guys at Job Creators Network? What are you doing now, you know, since this election, of course, was a resounding success for the efforts that you made. But what do you do from here on end? So we need to continue building out. As I said, you know, 1.5 million new Hispanic voters every single year. we are working on building a conservative grassroots army of Hispanic voters. Their numbers are going to continue to increase, continue to be important at the state level, federal government level, local government level.
Starting point is 00:09:27 And so we have to continue to build upon, you know, the great foundation that we created and expand that, really reach out to more Hispanics and be able to help them, treat them like ordinary people, like every other American, and help address their needs and really listen to them and get out to their community. So that's our plan. We have to keep this infrastructure growing on our side. We can't just drop the ball because if we do, we're losing out on a huge opportunity. Well, Mary Thomas, thanks for coming on the program today.

As you know, every now and again, I want to give you some encouragement because I get encouraged and inspired by our friends at Inspire Investing. Robert Netsley, who's the head of that, is my guest right now. Robert, welcome back. To be here, Eric, as always.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Thanks for having me. Every time I have you on, I get excited about what you guys are doing, and I want to tell my audience, because most of us, we're living our lives, we kind of wonder, is anybody on this stuff? Is anybody holding these gigantic corporations to account for their woke lunacy? Is there anybody out there? You are out there, and I'm amazed and forgive me for gushing, but this is so important because we always talk about politics.
Starting point is 00:13:14 we talk about all this different stuff. This is as important as anything going on in America right now. So today I want to talk to you about Apple. Everybody. Our lives are touched by Apple. We've spent most of us thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars buying Apple computers, phones, whatever. And they have been ridiculously woke, horribly woke. So what do you, guys at inspire investing doing about it. I know the answer to this, but I want you to tell my audience because this is amazing. Yeah, well, there's many things, but the one thing in particular that is just on the front burner right now is a shareholder resolution that we have with Apple, and it's pushing for transparency
Starting point is 00:14:06 in their corporate giving, their philanthropy. You know, they've got gobs of money that they give away every year. and a lot of that is going to places that, you know, most of their customers, most of their employees probably would be uncomfortable with because, you know, they're really fringe, kind of extremist groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center, Center for American Progress, quote-unquote, you know, on down the list. And yet, they forbid donations to faith-based organizations. figure, right? So it's not really a fair, just equitable, tolerant, inclusive giving program, and, you know, they're entitled to have their giving program set up however they want, their company, but they need to be transparent to their shareholders. And so that's what we're asking for is transparency on where their money is going. In fact, where our money as
Starting point is 00:15:06 shareholders are going. These executives make these decisions, it's not really their money. It's it's the shareholders and money. So we want to know where it's going and we can decide whether we want to continue to be shareholders or not. And if they don't like that, the limelight shined on where they're giving money, then maybe they should change where they're giving their money. Well, I mean, which brings us to another aspect of what you guys do. You try to help, you know, listeners to this program, for example, figure out, am I, do I have a, you know, a 401k or do something out there that is investing in these companies that are pushing dramatic, woke agendas. And a lot of people listening right now, folks, your money is helping, whether it's Apple or whoever else, do things that are
Starting point is 00:15:55 absolutely against American values, your values. And so you need to know about that. So I want to say, before we continue the conversation about what you guys are doing with Apple, if you're interested, folks, in whether your money is like serving the devil's purposes, if I can cut to the chase. Go to the website, inspireadvisors.com slash Eric, and they will help you figure out
Starting point is 00:16:21 whether your money is funding things, companies that are woke, whether your money is invested there. You don't want it to be invested there, so you want to know. So go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric, they will give you a free
Starting point is 00:16:38 report to let you know. This is very much. important. How we spend our money, where we invest our money, is gigantically important. And so, I mean, it's funny, Robert, because I was just thinking about this the other day, Starbucks, Amazon, like they do a great job of providing services, but they are often super woke. And so they're using these profits to undermine what most of us believe in. We've got to hold them accountable. So you guys do that. And so you filed a resolution at Apple. So I'm applauding you.
Starting point is 00:17:13 It's amazing. So talk about this. You filed a resolution. I'm just amazed that you did this. It's wonderful. Yeah, one of many. And it's, you know, it's inspiring to know that we can actually have a difference. Sometimes we think, you know, that our faith-based voices or conservative voices are sort of not heard or not able to be heard
Starting point is 00:17:38 the corporate boardrooms, but it's not true. So we filed this resolution to push for transparency around corporate giving. And so last fall, we filed the resolution about a month later, the legal executives of Apple reached out and said, hey, we'd like to talk about this. You know, they don't like resolutions showing up on the ballot, particularly around thorny issues like, you know, where they're giving away shareholders money to, you know, ideological causes. And so they they told us that they're in, you know, listening mode. And I think, I believe they are. They're actually listening, especially when you look around and see all the, all the hubb
Starting point is 00:18:19 let's say regarded, really regarding DEI and ESG and the rollbacks that major, other major companies are having in those areas. They're feeling the heat. This is not popular for an increasing number of people. And just common sense that they would be transported. parent around their giving. So I'm, you know, optimistic that we'll be able to get some traction with them. There's, you know, one organization in particular, human rights campaign that they've been giving, they've given money to their, I think, a platinum sponsor of the human rights campaign. That's
Starting point is 00:18:55 been in the direct bullseye of a lot of the DEI rollbacks at companies like Walmart and other, you know, very large companies. And one of the most outspoken activists for the LGBT T woke sort of causes, and Apple's been a major supporter. So they need to, you know, be forthcoming about those things. And anyway, they're in listening mode. They're having constructive dialogue with us. And we'll see where it goes. But it's a good time to be doing what we're doing.
Starting point is 00:19:29 And more companies day by day are listening. And as we, you know, our movement grows, we're managing, you know, $3.2 billion at this point. were growing like weed. You know, nobody 10 years ago, and we started out with this, thought we were going to manage any sort of money, you know, from the Manhattan Wall Street crowd. Because who believes in biblical values anymore was the mock. And yet there are trillions dollars controlled by people who professed to believe the Bible, profess to have, you know, conservative values. and the more we move our money in line with what we state our values are, the more impact we can have in these corporations.
Starting point is 00:20:10 And so I encourage you guys, yeah, definitely go get that free report we're offering aspiredvisors.com slash Eric just to be educated about what we own and know what you can do about it. Starting point is 00:23:33 My guest right now is our friend Joe Pellegrino, who's down someplace in Florida. everybody's down in Florida. I'm not. I'm in the bitter cold of New York City. Okay, Joe Pellegrino, you're the head of legacy-minded ministries. Tell my audience, if they forgot, what is legacy-minded ministries? Legacy-minded ministries is an umbrella organization that's over primarily legacy-minded men, which has been around for 15 years and touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of men all around the world.
Starting point is 00:24:02 But legacy-minded ministry basically works off the concept of legacy-minded. So we are now doing legacy-minded men, legacy-minded men. legacy-minded youth, legacy-minded leaders, legacy-minded women, legacy-minded whatever. Everything's about being Christ-centered, legacy-minded. And whatever that is, we're going to work with. You promise? I do. I really do. And what is the thing, the not just an average Joe that you mentioned to me before we came on the air?
Starting point is 00:24:30 Not just an average Joe is my speaking consulting business. And we really focus on the idea of training up young leaders, specifically, youth middle school high school and teach them about four core principles that we think are deficient today in society, which is the lack of critical thinking, lost identity, therefore they have no purpose, and they don't understand what real relationships are. So I call that the bedrock four, which leads to five and a half questions that everyone must answer, which is the book that I'm using to now train up leaders all over the country, specifically former professional athletes, to go into schools and churches and teach on those tools.
Starting point is 00:25:07 So what's the title of the book? The five and a half questions, everyone must answer. The five and a half questions? Yes, sir. I love that. See, because that's clever, because it sucks people in, including me. What do you mean five and a half questions? What are you talking about, Joe?
Starting point is 00:25:27 So the five and a half questions are very, very simple questions, Eric, but rarely do we ever really think about them deeply? And they are very simple. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? what are you passionate about? What's your brand? And what do you believe? And the half question is the most important.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Why? Why do you have those strengths? Why do you have those weaknesses? Why are you passionate about what you're passionate about? Why do people think the way they do about you? And most importantly, why do you believe what you believe? You see, it's that question, the fifth one, that's the most important to us because we believe that most people's belief system
Starting point is 00:26:01 is built on somebody else's belief system, whether it's a parent, whether it's a friend, whether it's a teacher, whether it's social media. And we believe that's bedrock to who we are. So we better know what we believe and why we believe it and be willing to die for that. Well, listen, of course, I agree with all of that. And it's kind of what we try to do with Socrates in the city. The idea is to get people to think.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Because if you can get people to think, to be introspective, to think about the meaning of life, does life have meaning? If so, what does that mean to me? Just to get people to think, especially to get young people to think about this kind of stuff, rather than just to go with the flow like the idiots that most of us are. No, no, no. Stop, think. Maybe you shouldn't go with the flow.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Maybe there's a reason for you to not hang out with those people and not do that. Maybe you've missed it. So obviously, this is very, very important work. You, I wanted to talk to you about this blessing. day thing. I wasn't really clear on that. Tell my audience what that is. Sure. So we've partnered with a gentleman named Dr. John Trent of strong families. John wrote a book about 35 years ago called The Blessing. It truly impacted my life in a powerful way. As a matter of fact, I'll share that story real quick. I was in a Sunday school class and we were going through his video training. And in the
Starting point is 00:27:27 middle of the class, I turned to my wife and I said, today's the day. My father's going to tell me he loves me. My dad lived in South Jersey. I lived in Jersey at the time. And we were going to to visit my parents. And when we went down there, I determined that he was going to tell me he loved me that day, and I was going to receive a blessing from him. And I recognized after a nice day when I'm getting ready to leave, I never told him I love to me either. And I got to tell you, Eric, the first time I told him, that was really hard. It was awkward. So I said, Dad, I love you. And he shook his head. And I said, I love you too, Joe. And my mother said, Joey, you know he loves you. I said, just once I want to hear it. And my father turned to me and he said, I love you. And that was the only time in my life
Starting point is 00:28:06 I ever heard it. But that really set in motion and understanding of the power of words, the powerful, not only affirming words, but biblical blessing words, blessings that we read in scripture, the Esau and Jacob's story and the power of that, that we are not communicating effectively to our children. So what John and I did is a couple years ago, we partnered up, and we formed the National Blessing Day, which is going to be launching this year, Sunday before Thanksgiving and Lord willing every year the Sunday before Thanksgiving. And we actually hope to have a proclamation on the desk of President Trump in March or April of this year and get it signed so that we can make this happen. But of course, every day is Blessing Day. Every day we should be
Starting point is 00:28:48 taking the time to bless our children. And what we did, Eric, is we built an app into the legacy minded men or tool inside the Legacy Mind and Men app, which is the Blessing Day tool. And what that does is it teaches men and women how to bless their children, but not only do it face to face, but also do it in a memorialized fashion on video where they can record a video blessing to their child, send it to them if they're anywhere around the country, and enable those kids to keep that as a tool for them.
Starting point is 00:29:20 So if I share that with them before they go to college, if they go down a bad path, they can always come back to my words. They can always look at my eyes. If I'm no longer in the picture, if I'm gone, they can always look into my eyes and hear those words. If I'm not there and they have children of their own, they can share their father's words with their child.
Starting point is 00:29:40 So it's a powerful legacy piece that's extremely important. And getting this done every year and updating it every year. Like I record fresh blessings for my children and grandchildren every year so that they always have my words. And I think it's extraordinarily important. I was going to say some people I think will just intuitively understand this is important others may not
Starting point is 00:30:04 so when we come back I want to talk a little bit about that because we need to understand why this is important it's not just some corny thing it's actually important we'll be right back both welcome back talking to Joe Pellegrino we're talking about this idea of blessing I want to lay this out for the audience
Starting point is 00:30:33 Joe because I don't think a lot of people necessarily get this there's this biblical idea that of the father's blessing to speak a blessing there is power in the words it's not enough that i love you if i say i love you it's not enough that i wish you well if i am vocal and i publicly or vocally bless you there's power in that and that's a biblical concept people often hear words have power. Words have tremendous power. There's a whole Bible study you could do on it. There's books on it. The power of a blessing. I bless you. I think there are many Christians who are not walking in the authority that God has given them. I have a friend Mike Thompson. He wrote a book called Third Heaven Authority. And he has taught extensively on this idea.
Starting point is 00:31:31 you get Dutch Sheets talks about to decree the power that we have, because it's not we who have the power. It is God who has the power, but he has deputized us and he wants us to use his power. In the name of the king, in the name of Jesus, I declare, according to the will of God, I declare there is power. And there are many Christians that are utterly unaware of this dimension that God wants us to get that and to,
Starting point is 00:32:01 to speak powerful words and in this case powerful words of blessing this is real folks this is not it's not quote unquote just words it is power the words are powerful just like if I say I curse you just words are powerful because we're spiritual beings we're not nothing so it's I think it's important that we lay that groundwork as we're talking about the blessing otherwise it just sounds like a lot of religious hoo-ha. Yeah, I mean, let's just categorize this very simply. When we talk about words of endearment, words of encouragement, those are words coming from a human being to another human being. When we are calling a blessing onto someone, we are reigning God's words and God's blessing down on them. It's a big difference. It's a big difference. And when you do that,
Starting point is 00:32:50 when you lay hands on someone and you physically, we just did a test run at our church here in Vero Beach. And the pastor allowed us. to do it and it was we didn't know what to expect. Well, the service wouldn't end. People coming forward, 70-year-old people crying because they've never received that blessing when somebody lays hands on them and rains down a blessing. It is incredibly powerful. As a matter of fact, I'll share the story with you, Eric. We broadcast that particular event. And the pastor shared with me two days after that is 86-year-old uncle who had refused Jesus all the these years was watching, called him up and said, I just want to let you know, I accepted Jesus.
Starting point is 00:33:35 He's in North Carolina. The pastor drove that week to North Carolina, baptized him in his bathtub. And then the pastor's 84-year-old father who comes to church all the time said, you know, I've never been baptized. I want to do it. It's set in motion a chain of reaction because the reaction is the truth of the matter is the blessing is power. It is power. And as parents, I urge you. I urge you to use it as mentors. I urge you to use it. As grandparents, I urge you to use it as teachers. I urge you to use it because it is life-changing. Yeah, I think a lot of people, some people don't have this problem, but a lot of people have the problem that they're just shy or they're embarrassed or whatever. And I think what you're saying,
Starting point is 00:34:24 Joe is important. We need to exercise our authority and speak blessing. There is power, folks. You're releasing the power of God. God has deputized us to be his hands and feet in this world. So it's not enough that, oh yeah, God will do it. Nah, no, no, no, no, no. He created you to be his vessel. He created us for this. And we have to be serious about this and intentional and speak blessing over this nation, this president, over our families, there's something, there's a very, very powerful spiritual principle at work. You know, you just touched on something really important. You know, we allow the spirit of God to flow into us. We call that salvation. It's the Holy Spirit living and dwelling within us. But I believe the greatest challenge of church and most Christians face today
Starting point is 00:35:17 is not allowing the spirit to come in them, but it's allowing the spirit to come out of them. all those things, you know, we have to check that at the door and say, you know what, I am a vessel. But in order for that vessel to be used, it has to be open. So we need to have that flow of the power of the spirit not only through us in us to change us, but through us to change others. And that is extraordinarily powerful. I want to get in this idea again about Blessing Day. What would that consist of?
Starting point is 00:35:48 So you guys want to put you and my friend Joe Batagli and others, you want to put something on the president's desk to sign. So it's Blessing Day. What is what is that meant to be? What is that? So again, every day is a blessing day. But National Blessing Day, we are set up as a Sunday before Thanksgiving. And our goal is to get pastors all over this country, all over this world, actually, to recognize the power of teaching on the blessing.
Starting point is 00:36:11 So speaking to their congregation and even having it set up so that they can have leaders in the front who are trained on giving a blessing and having people come forward. I promise you, it'll be the most powerful day of your church. When you allow people to get out of those pews, walk forward and receive a blessing, even if the person blessing them doesn't know them, watch what God does. It's transformational. And that particular day, we're asking not only pastors to do it, but also parents, grandparents, and mentors to do it. But again, you could say that that Sunday, I'm busy.
Starting point is 00:36:47 I'm doing something. That's okay. Don't wait. Do it tomorrow. Do it next week. It's your blessing day. every day's your blessing day. We're simply trying to pick out one particular day
Starting point is 00:36:57 where we can get a little publicity, quite frankly. Is there a website where people can look this up? Nationalblessingday.com. National blessingday.com. National blessingday.com. National blessingday. Dot com. I obviously think this is an important concept.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Otherwise, I wouldn't have you on the program, Joe. I think that this gets to, what I have been talking about is that this is God's idea, that we are to walk in the authority that he's given us as believers. If you're a believer, if you're not a believer, you need to accept Jesus and ask him to show you. But to speak the will of God over our families, over our nation, to speak blessing, there is power, and this is a biblical idea. And many Christians are simply not walking in this. I believe it's God's will that we would. We're out of time. Joe Pellegrino, thank you, folks. The website is National Blessingday.com. Thank you, Joe. Thank you, Eric.
