Oh, wait, not yet. Not yet. So, so Merry Christmas. and a happy new year in advance to those of you who are planning to be alive in a few days when 2024 dawns, which is really, it's going to be one of the craziest years. Let me say in American history, no exaggeration. Yeah, that's a lot. That we cannot even talk about, like madness, lunacy.

But I want to be clear, I believe God's will will prevail. I believe that it's like being. in a war and you fight and you pray and you trust God with the outcome. And I believe things are happening. As I've spoken around the country this past year, I've been profoundly encouraged meeting amazing people going to amazing churches. One thing people ask me is, hey, what can I do, Eric? Number one thing you can do. If you're going to a church that is not taking this battle for liberty seriously, taking this battle against evil seriously, oh yeah, evil exists. like cutting parts off of children and young people, you know, I think if you don't understand that that's evil,

if you don't understand that strangers flooding across our border, Chinese nationals of, you know, young men in their 20s, radical Muslims who are potentially sleeper cells for Hamas, people kind of act like, oh, yeah, that's just conservative talking points. Boy, do I wish that were true. But it's not. It's evil. and we have an administration in bed with evil. And so if you're going to a church that is not dealing with this,

and there are many churches, otherwise good churches, that are not dealing with this, that think politics is out of the realm of the church, if slavery were on the ballot, would you say that? If Jim Crow laws were on the ballot, would you say that? Do you think the civil rights movement born in the churches? Do you think that that was out of line, that the churches got political and tried,

to get legislation against Jim Crow laws. You think that's out of line? Many American pastors, that's what they seem to think. So here's my action point. If you're going to a church like that, please, for the sake of your own soul, get out. Don't ever give a dime to a church

that is not in this battle. I mean that very seriously. In hindsight, I think you'll realize I was right when I said this. I think a couple of years from now, you're going to say, you know what? Yeah, yeah. We were part of a church like going to a German church in the 30s that says, we're not going to get political.

We're not going to be part of those taking a stand against Hitler. No, no, we don't want any trouble. We don't want any trouble. We just want to do church. Folks, that's the devil's church. Pretty harsh, right? Except, unfortunately, if you look at what happened in Germany, it's true. I'm telling you, if you read my book letter to the American church,

the parallels are not deniable. So you want to pretend that they're deniable. You want to ignore the facts. God is going to judge us for what we do and what we don't do. And if you're going to a church that doesn't take this seriously, I want to tell you that that is scary to me. We all need to link arms in this battle. So that's my message to you.

If you're going to one of those churches, the time is over. Like, oh, I think we can convince the, pastor to be a little bit more bold. No, it's over. Jesus cursed the fig tree. Over. Done. You need to find a church or find a group of people who are willing to pray and willing to take this seriously and to be active in whatever way you can be active. We're all active in different ways. Everybody can't do the same thing. Everybody's not called to do the same thing. Everybody doesn't have time to do the same thing. But we can all do a little something. and the one thing you can do is not go to a church that's just playing church.

I'm sitting here in the studio here in New York City with John Dislin rhymes with Sisland. John Disland is the author of a pretty extraordinary book called Nehemiah Strong, Life Sustaining Essentials for Season of Trial. John Dislin, welcome the program. Thanks, Eric. So good to be here. Well, first of all, how tall are you?

I am seven feet tall, but I look smaller on the screen. Are you actually seven feet tall? Yes. Because when you walked in, I thought, you know, I don't normally feel short. I feel average. until somebody who's seven feet tall walks in, and then suddenly I feel much smaller than I was led to believe. So thank you for being seven feet tall. Because I don't feel so bad about being shorter than you when I realize you're seven feet tall. Okay, you have written a book that has been praised.

Four different pastors have said that they want to face the storm that we're facing with the Bible in one hand. In this book, Nehemiah Strong. in the other. What is this book? Who are you? What is your story? What led you to write this book? Well, first of all, thanks for having me. Of course. It's pleasure to be here. I was a regular walking around, Joe. I had a finance career and started an internet company for a while, and I was coming out of that, and God, you know, long, long story short, God got a hold of me by showing me the evil in the world. And it started with 9-11, and it went on from there. And I

spent a year and a half basically walking through the valley of the shadow of death and sort of having a firsthand tour. And that's how I got saved because I'd always grown up going to church, but I had had knowledge but not heart knowledge. And at that point, I was at a crossroads and I knew, you know, God was going to have me or not have me and it was my choice. And so, you know, but I knew enough about Jesus. I knew what the truth was. And so I broke right, thankfully, and ran to the cross, laid it down. And then I had an Isaiah moment, and I said, here I am, Lord, send me. And then I had sort of a walk of Gideon, you know how Gideon started with an altar and a little cake, and then he slew his father's bowl, and then he tore down the altar,

and then he was ready to take on the Midianites. Well, my first task was going against abortion, and so I spent several years in counter-abortion work. And then God, said, okay, well, let's do this next chapter. And so I spent several years in counter human trafficking, satanic ritual abuse. And running... Hold on. Say that again. You spent, how long? Several years combating human trafficking and satanic ritual abuse. Okay. There are people who don't believe that that stuff is real, and I want to be very clear, those people are wrong. I think the reason a lot of people have shallow faith as Christians is because they're unaware of the evil. When you're aware of the satanic evil, or any evil, when you're aware of evil, you want to run to God.

But if you think everything's sort of okay, God seems like a, you know, just a nice thing to kind of help me feel that peace or something. An accessory. You stared into the abyss. So talk about that for a moment. Yeah, it was, well, talk about staring to the abyss in 20. 2014 or of fighting counterhuman trafficking, which is, I'm just saying, what year did you come to faith? 2014. Okay, 2014.

So fairly recently. Yes. And so you're seven feet tall now. How tall were you then? I was still seven feet tall. Oh, so God did not increase your height. No. All right, but he did some other stuff.

That's even better. But kind of like with the grand, she increased the size of my heart. Yeah. It sounds like it. So how did that lead you to, to, to, to. to this. I mean, the book Nehemiah Strong, it says, life-sustaining essentials for a season of trial. When you were talking about dealing with victims of ritual, satanic ritual abuse, I mean, most people, myself included, don't want to believe that that's real. It's so horrible.

How did you stumble onto that? Well, so as I was engaged in counter-abortion ministry, I was going to all these different Christian conferences prior to, COVID and that kind of shut him down. They're coming back. But I went to several conferences where there was this lovely, strong man of faith named Rustizdar. And he had this ministry of deliverance and counter human trafficking, satanic ritual abuse. And I just was so enamored with him as a picture of a strong believer standing in the gap

and standing in the breach and combating it. and walking it out in faith and in love, you know, shoeshod in the preparation of peace, which is the gospel, but facing toe to toe with some of the wickedest people on earth. And I just was stirred up in my spirit, and I said, I want to do that. I want to be there. And so I started running with Russ and his SIAIU team for several years combating satanic ritual abuse. And so what led you ultimately to write the book, Nehemi, and tell my audience and me, what is the book Nehemiah Strong, Life Sustaining Essentials for a Season of Trial?

And by the way, you're seven feet tall. This book would be appropriate for someone of your size. For somebody like me, it just makes me look like a hobbit. It's the biggest book I've ever seen in my life. I don't know what this is. It's like a phone book. So what is in this book? What led you to say, I need to write a book about this?

Okay. Well, so I came out of that season of Counter-Saintain. anti-critial abuse work. And it was amazing, Eric, because I really got stirred up to write. And I'd never been a writer before. And suddenly I'm looking for things to ride. I wrote a D-Chinglish, Americanized English guide for a complicated VHF, UHF Radio. I wrote a summary of weapons training from John Lovell training, Warrior Poet Society. I even wrote a 70-page novella for my daughter for her birthday. And I've never done these things before, and suddenly I'm stirred up to write, and I'm convinced it was for this purpose. And so I was listening to a brief video from a lovely

woman, Celeste Solon, lovely believer, and she knows how the cow ate the cabbage, as they say. And in the midst of this video about another subject, nobody says that. Go ahead. So in the midst of this video, Celeste suddenly pivots, and she says, oh, by the way, when they come and knocking your door, self-describe public servants, and they want you to do things you ought not do. Here's a couple of things you can do to push back against that form of the storm. And when she said that, just like with counter-abortion, just like with Russ and satanic ritual abuse, the Holy Spirit just spool up in me and said, go right about that. And so. Okay, so public servants, that's a that's in quotes because they're creepy FBI agents,

whoever it is coming to your door, whatever it is. This was not a thing in America until suddenly boom, now it is. And it is evil, and we need to stand against it or know what we can do. We talk about this in many different ways on this program. So it was encountering this woman that kind of drew you into this idea. So in a nutshell, what does that mean? You know, you see that we're in a season of trial. You see this is an ongoing thing, I guess.

And so what can people do? I mean, in a nutshell, what do you mean by that? Well, so what's interesting is I started with that as the focus of the book. I didn't realize, Eric, I was going to write what sits before you. It's a good thing I didn't know because if I'd known, I might not have started. right yeah but so as i wrote about this knock on the door proverbially speaking in literal i came to realize there was so much more and and what i wanted to create was a conversation with the reader if i'm only going to get a chance at one conversation with the reader i wanted to give them

everything i had to give them yeah and so it started with the knock on the door but it but it goes to so much more so for example it goes to the spiritual and so so you know, in my years of running. And as I look back, I see how God prepared me to write the book I wrote because of years running against satanic ritual abuse and because of counter-abortion work. And so because, like you said earlier, because I'd seen the evil and the blackness of the darkness, I was better prepared in all the training I did. I did so much training for counter-satentic ritual abuse work. I had so much information to share with people. So I started to talk about spiritual warfare. I started to talk about our spiritual authority, which is astounding. And nobody

talks about. There are so many. There's so many. It's kind of funny because it must be the Holy Spirit, because this has been more and more. What I'm talking about is that we are called to be disciples of Jesus, not just to be converts, I'm a Christian, but to live on every level. with the authority that he's given us. Most Christians don't have the beginning of a clue about that. We've had my friend Pastor Mike Thompson on here talking about third heaven authority. We have this amazing authority as Christians. Many Christians that are confused, they don't even know what that is.

But the idea of living out your faith the way God wants you to live it out is, first of all, it's beautiful. It's an adventure. It's why he died on the cross and rose from the dead, not just so that you could go to heaven, but so that you could live your faith out. So this is exciting. We're going to get into it. I have in the studio my tallest guest ever by at least four or five inches, the seven foot tall, John Dizzlin. John, at what age did you hit seven feet tall? I'm just fascinated. I don't know. I hit 6.11 when I was 16. And then because if you stand on the scale of the doctor's office and they pull it up, it actually pulls out of the frame. And so they just took my word for it. Many years later, I found out. Now, are your parents gigantically tall? My mom was 6.2. My dad,

6.3, but my great grandfather was 6.9, and that was 1900. So there's height in those genes. Holy cow. You might trace yourself back to Paul Bunyan or to the Nephilim. We're not going to get that. We don't have time to talk about this. But I just want to say

that you're officially the tallest person I've ever interviewed. And I'd like to leave it there. You don't need to go beyond seven feet. That's enough. Did you play sports growing up? I actually played basketball.

I was going to say, how did you not play basketball? Yeah, they made me. And growing up, where in East Tennessee? East Tennessee, and then I went to the University of Virginia, so I played some basketball there. Okay. Well, we're talking about your book, Nehemiah Strong, Life Sustaining Essentials for a Season of Trial. So in this book, you go into a lot of different kinds of things. and I don't know what we should start about on because it really is a big book.

It's like a definitive book. Where do we start? I mean, you know, people want to say, why would I buy that book? What is in it? There's a lot in this book. You know, I'd like to start with a couple of scriptures, if I could, that I think frame the entirety of the contents. Don't get religious on me, bro. Okay.

No, obviously, I would love you to start with some scriptures. All right, then. Yeah. So, so, and what's funny is I didn't really. have the frame of the book till after I wrote it. And I took a step back and said, okay, God, what is this thing that I've done here? And I was reminded of Isaiah 5919, where it says, when the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him. And most people don't know. Standard means battle flag. Yes. Right? So the enemy comes in like a flood,

and your side lifts up a standard, you know, because in the old days you would follow that flag, follow the flag, lift up a battle standard. And so that's part of what is happening here. The enemy has come in like a flood and you're trying to raise up a standard. God is raising up a standard through you. Well, through all of us. And let me just note too, because then I had the question, okay, God, well, what is the standard? And if you read in Isaiah 1110, it says the Messiah is our ensign. And so as is often the case when the question is, you know, what's the answer to this? And the answer is Jesus when it comes to the Bible, right? Well, Jesus is the standard. He's risen up. He's the example for us to follow and to march in. But there's so much more to unpack there because, first of all, we do have an enemy, right? The Spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him, not the flood against him.

Right. We have an enemy. He's a self-aware being. He hates our guts. He wants to rip our throats up. He's coming in like a flood. And I would challenge anyone living. in this hour to question whether we're living in a flood of evil because it's absolutely.

No, there's no doubt about it. And I keep saying, you know, Romans 828, that God has, is blessing us by allowing this evil in because it is waking people up who have been sleeping, who would never have woken up unless it had come in. And you just suddenly say, what is happening on every level? And I talk about this in speeches all around the country, that most normal people just look around and say, what is happening? This doesn't seem like normal politics or normal trouble. This just seems like a next level lunacy, evil, you know, no matter where you look. And so ultimately, God in his mercy is allowing these things to wake up those who might wake up to fight. Amen. Amen. And I was so stirred up in the last few days hearing about different believers who

were saying, oh, well, Jesus is coming back soon. I'm just going to sit at the bus stop until the bus comes. Yeah, go into the, go into your root cellar with the slim jims and the water purification tablets, and he'll be back any second. Don't do anything. Just sit there. That's the voice of the devil, that voice of fatalism. Don't do anything. It's over. It's not over until God says it's over. And we're called to fight, to pray, to be all in. And we were, by the way, created for this moment, for this hour. This is not like a coincidence that we're, oh, what a bummer. That we're here now. God brought us into this world for this time. He knew, Eric, that you and I would be sitting here today. That's for sure. He knew that we would be born into this season. And so I would,

I'm just, so one way to look at Nehemiah Strong is it's an exhortation. Get up, wake up, stand up, charge to the line, because that that battle cry, you know, that standard being raised by the spirit of the Lord, that spirit lives in us too. And so we should resonate with that standard being raised for us to charge to the front line and get busy with his business in this hour because the hour is short. And he's looking to us as his ambassadors in the world to be strong and to overcome in this season. Well, there's no doubt about it. And, you know, people often say to me, Eric, what can I do? What can I do? Well, it seems like one of the things you might do is get a copy of Nehemiah Strong because it's loaded with the kind of stuff that

you can do, that you can, because that's the point is like we're talking about an end-time church, a remnant, that it's not going to look like, you know, the dead religious church of years past. We're talking about people who understand we're in a battle. It is God's battle. He has called us

to the battle, and we have all kinds of weapons of warfare that we're not, we're not even, you don't hear about this from your pulpit. John Dislin, you talk about spiritual authority. I've had on my friend Pastor Mike Thompson.

He wrote a book called Third Heaven Authority. My friend Ken Fish has been on the program many times. He has a ministry and healing and healing. deliverance. Greg Locke has been on talking about deliverance. There's so many people who think of themselves as Christians who either don't know anything about this world or pretend like that's kind of a little nutty. It's not. And I used to be a little bit like that. You know, you kind of go, eh, you know. Me too. But God calls us to this. And if God calls us, we're fools to ignore it. Yeah. And, and, And let's take a step back and think about the non-scary, non-demonic nature of the spirituality of what we do.

You know, the Bible talks about angels. Jesus was born to a virgin. He was resurrected from the dead. He reigns in the third heaven at the right hand of God. This is all about spirituality. It's all about other realms. And unfortunately, well, fortunately or unfortunately, we're living in a season when that veil between the heavenly realm where the heavenly realm where this battle has been raging for untold eons is thinning and thinning and thinning and it's cascading,

it's flowing like a flood into the physical realm. And so when we see the demonic on our televisions, on our phones, in social media, down the street, in the news, we shouldn't be so surprised because it's simply the hour that this battle is, to me, it appears like it's going to be joined for real. I want to be real clear that one of the reasons most people get uncomfortable with the demonic or they kind of shy away from it is because they're scared. And I'm here to tell you, folks, that is Satan's goal, is to make you think you should be scared. Let me tell you, he should be scared if you know who you are in Jesus and the authority Jesus has given you.

And when you know that the Holy Spirit lives in me, so the demons are actually, scared of me if I'm aware of what is in me and the power God has given me. But the problem is when you don't know that, and you just go, I don't want any trouble. And that's part of the problem is that there are many, many, many in the church that they have no teaching on this, they have no awareness of it. They just want to be like nice Christians. And here's the bad news. The devil also wants you to be a nice Christian. That's exactly what he wants. God wants you to be aware of the authority that he has given us. And so we need to be mature. We need to step in its maturity. So it sounds like that's what happened to you and that's what you put in the book, Nehemiah Strong.

Yeah. And I really feel like I was blessed with that. Eric, when I got that tour of the abyss and it shook me down to my core, I almost lost my mind. This is back in 2014. But it utterly convinced me of the authenticity of evil. But not only that it's true, but the depth of the depth of it, the blackness of it, the wickedness of it, the perverseness of it. It is so despicable and so much our enemy that it awoke me to the good, to the light, and I ran to it. But once you've seen it, you can't unsee it. And that's one of the things that really gives me hope about this season, is as people wake up, and I would exhort the listeners today, if what we're talking about sounds like nonsense to you.

I just exhort you to wake up to the fact that there is the demonic. There is wickedness. And it is utterly depraved. You're not going to read about it in the pages of Christianity today, ladies and gentlemen. In case you're aware that that magazine still exists. This is actual Christianity. God calls us to this. But there are a lot of people.

They want kind of some, I don't know, some respectable version of the Christian faith, which, again, bad news. That's the devil's version of the Christian faith. Christian faith, very useful to the devil. This is real, and God calls us to joyfully enter the battle with him. And sometimes he lets us see these horrible things specifically to say, okay, now do you get it? Now are you going to turn to me more wholeheartedly and stop holding back? And maybe, Eric, we'll grow to hate evil more like God does. You know, he doesn't hate evil doers. He doesn't hate we sinners because otherwise we'd all be damned, right? He sent his son for us.

That's how much he loves us. But he does hate the wickedness. There are irredeemable agents. You know, demons, fallen angels, Satan, they are irredeemable. They are our sworn enemies forever until they get dealt with. And if God, if God didn't want us to be active and vital and proactive and charging into the fight, then why did he say, and the God of Peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly, our feet. Why don't we go ahead and get started with that and be active on the battlefield with the gospel, with love for our enemies, but standing up against the wickedness because the hour is short and Satan is counting on our passivity for him to advance his agenda and his kingdom.

That's, no, that is really where I have come to stand. And even my new book that's coming out in April, very different from this one. But it's the same kind of message that, you know, God is challenging us, like to wake up. Now is the hour of the American church. And it's a joyful thing. It's a beautiful thing that he would allow us to participate with him in this adventure for which he created us. It's an amazing thing. I don't know if we just have like a minute or so in this segment, but what is some of the like the darkest stuff that you saw so we can understand what it was that woke you up? There are a couple of things I'm just not going to speak to because what you perceive

them in your minds eye, you can't unsee them. I get it. I saw a picture of a young man in a cage who was sacrificed shortly after that. And he was a young teenager. He basically grew up in a cage. He grew up in a barn. And he was sacrificed on a satanic high holy day, which, by the way, coincides with the Halloween season.

And so we ought not be doing Halloween, but he lost his life. See, now there are plenty people. I know listening thinking, like, I just don't believe that. It had to be something else. It's hard for us to process that there is that level of evil. It's hard for us. But God and His mercy is helping us process it by showing us what Hamas just did, you know, just kind of coming in and murdering babies, women, children, old people.

evil is real. And if you, first of all, if you know God, then you're not afraid of that. You can deal with it. But there are a lot of people that they just want to bat that away. They want to have a nice religious life. And folks, you're missing it if that's what you want. You're missing it. God calls you to something beautiful and noble and true. It's a reference guide that we as believers might stand and occupy and overcome as the enemy comes in like a flood. And let me just give a response verse to what we talked about earlier with.

the flood coming in and God raising a standard against it. And it's actually on that bookmark in the book I gave you. In Daniel chapter 11, Daniel is prophesying about the last days. He's actually describing the Antichrist. And then there's one of those remarkable commas in scripture and a pivot, a big pivot. And then suddenly Daniel says, but they that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits, which in the Hebrew is Kazakh Asa.

And so we are to be in ourselves strong, duneous, power. And then we are to do exploits. Some translations say great exploits. So if a listener is listening and saying, well, what do I do? Well, we all are different parts of the body of Christ, right? We all have different chores, different tasks, different ministries, if you will, works laid up from before the laying of the foundation of the world. So we all have different tasks and different gifts.

But if you're asking what do I do, go see God's face. Go see God's face and say, Lord, I want to be in this fight. Show me what to do because ultimately we're all born onto a battlefield. And the sooner we wake up and recognize that, the better off will be. And we need to be clear that God calls everybody to different things. I don't want anybody to think like, oh, I got to do this, but I'm not made for that. Whatever God calls you to do, he made you to do. He created you and gifted you.

And so there's just nothing worse than missing that. Okay, so real quick, what are the number of the things that you, some of the chapters in here, the warrior mindset, know your weapons, know your authority, spiritual warfare toolbox, know your legal authority, know your adversary, public servant visit, strategy and tactics. So somebody knocks on your door, how do you deal with that? man there's a lot there's a lot in here flash rally procedures we've just got a minute or so

left what is your sense of where we're going from here i mean you've written this book for now i have and you know it's it's funny looking back i was worried i wrote it too late a year ago and then of course the timing seems to be just right now but what are birthpangs like i suspect you've seen a woman give birth like I have. And, you know, the thing about giving birth is it's sharper, it's shorter, and there's no going back. We're not going backwards. We're only going forward, right? And so I'm expecting these pains that these pangs that we're going through, right, to get sharper, to get closer.

And we have to be ready, both provisionally and in the physical realm. And there's content like that in the book. but first in the spiritual. We've got to be right with Jesus. We've got to recognize this fight and that we are the overcomers. We are more than conquerors, and we're supposed to act like it. Well, I listen to a lot of, not a lot, a handful of prophetic voices that believe God will, in a sense, bring America back to greatness, that there will be revival. So it sounds like both.

It sounds like we're going into trial, that good things are coming out. of this if the body of Christ steps up and behaves like the body of Christ. Well, you quoted Romans 828. God will use all things. All things work for the good of those who love him called according to its purpose. Let's participate in that good. There you go.
