Okay, so we, we've got some big news coming up here. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to talk about Joe Biden's despicable speech last night. Despicable, despicable. But before that, I want to say that in the next segment, we've got, it's a big deal. We have the country Western phenomenon known as John Rich. Have you heard of him? It's a very simple name. John Rich.

He was on Tucker Carlson. Kind of a big deal. He's a big deal. And he's coming on in a couple seconds after I rant about Joe Biden. He's going to be coming on this program to talk to me about his new song, Revelation, which, Chris, what's the deal? It's like it's blowing up. Yeah, he just has a PR agent. He's an independent musician at this point.

and he put this song out on his own, and it hit number one or two on the Apple chart. So he's got a music video with it, and it's kind of blowing up. And it's really interesting when a song goes up the charts that is actually anti-Satan. That's a rare thing. Usually they're pro-Satain. Yeah. Well, I'm good and good evil. Strangely enough, John Rich didn't get the memo, and he is on the side of the good

and on the side of God, not on the side of Satan, which is really weird. I don't get it. But seriously, it's not cool. On Tucker, he was kind of just saying he was tired of, you know, the modern music industry, the pop music industry, it's very demonized. And he really felt like God gave him these lyrics and gave them the idea for the music video. And so he put it out there. And it seems to be anointed to use a spiritual word.

Yeah. Well, so we're going to talk to him at just a little. a couple of minutes. Okay, so as most people know, I was in Greece and then I was in Oxford, England, and then I was back in Greece in Cephalonia. And I'm going to be talking, I'm going to be talking about that forever. We have a Greek tour, a cruise that I'm going to be leading in June, sorry, June of 2025. I'm very excited about this. We can't get the details out until, I don't know in about a month we'll have it details but June 2025 it's like a 10-day Greek islands cruise very very exciting um at least for me I'm flipped out excited I'm thrilled about it and uh I think

it'll be it'll be fun but but I was just in Greece in Cephalonia and I mentioned I think I mentioned on this program that uh I met the man who put forward the theory that Paul the apostle was not shipwrecked in Malta, as most Bibles wrongly say, but in cephalonia. And maybe tomorrow I did an hour where I explain this in detail, but you can read the article, which is written in 1988. It's on my website. You can find it there, but I just want to mention that. But I get back from Greece, and of course I go up to Danbury, Connecticut,

to hang out with my mom, my dad's pass, so we're spending a lot of time with her. And yesterday, last night, I thought, oh, I got to drive back to the city because today I'm flying to Florida, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I'm going to be on the road at the same time that Joe Biden is appearing in the White House Oval Office to give his speech.

So I'm in the car. I'm basically back in Manhattan. And here comes the speech on the radio. And all I can tell you, And I don't know. Greg Kelly on Newsmax, I watched him after I got home. He had the same response as I did. The only word that can be used, if you know what's going on, is despicable.

It is despicable. Let me just, in case anybody's, you know, people, even on Fox News and whatever they talk about, Biden is working on his legacy about, you know what his legacy is? His legacy is he's a bum. He's a political hack. For 50 years, he has been corrupt. He has taken gigantic money. He's used his position as senator from age 29.

He was senator. He's used his position to amass wealth. Tremendous corruption. His son, Hunter, is a victim of that, basically. And then a few years ago, he stole the election. Now, people say, oh, really? Yeah, yeah. Unfortunately, he stole the election. So to me, he's a bum. He doesn't deserve to be in the White House. If you steal the election, who did you steal it from? You didn't steal it from Donald Trump. You stole it from we the people.

So Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have utter contempt, contempt for we the people, for the suckers that believe in America, for the suckers that believe in this great nation, that we believe in American exceptionalism. And so the idea of him, you know, giving this speech last night, and he has the nerve. I mean, whoever wrote this for him, obviously, we know this is no Abraham Lincoln. He didn't write the speech. But he is quoting Jefferson. He dares to quote Benjamin Franklin, the title of my book, if you can keep it. He talks about that. So they wanted to him to have this kind of historical context and whatever.

And I thought, you know, this is all great. Here's the problem. This is a bum. This is a corrupt hack career politician. And in the course of the speech, he said... I was going to say, Eric, I'm sorry. I thought it was very touching when he did an homage to Lincoln and opened with four score and seven years ago.

But it turns out he was just confused about the date. And he was stealing from Lincoln. Well, I just want to say, this man is a... He's a serious liar. Now, I don't say this lightly. I'm not talking about politicians. They kind of, you know, bend the truth or whatever. It is really ugly, and he told a number of lies.

They always accused Trump of telling lies. I don't see Trump telling lies. I think they disagree with him, and then they call it a lie. In this case, Biden is actually saying he had the nerve. This is like mind-blowing. Heads explode where he said border crossings on the southern border are down in my administration compared to the previous administration. He actually said that.

He might as well have said, you know, my head is, the size of the moon. How do you say something like this with a straight face and Americans are supposed to go, oh, wow, interesting. He saved the economy. A level of lying that is so brazen that you have to characterize it as despicable, but painful to watch or to listen to. Painful because this is a man who essentially, he's sitting in the Oval Office.

He's supposed to represent the country, even though he stole the election. Maybe he's not even aware of that. Maybe they kept him in the dark, whoever actually stole the election. But it's so amazing. And then, of course, he also uses this historical moment to cast Donald Trump, who almost died as the enemy of democracy, as the enemy of America. Again, the reason that we use the term gaslighting is because if you watch the fifth, film gaslight, which I recommend with Ingrid Bergman and I forget who else is in it.

Joseph Cotton, I forget. But it's a great film because it's a level. It's like when you're playing with somebody's head, you're lying so brazenly that you're making them think they're insane. That's what the Democrats are doing now. They're saying things that are literally the opposite of what is true. And so it was an absolutely horrifying, genuinely. despicable speech that just showcases the contempt that somebody like Joe Biden and the Democrats

have for truth, for reality, they don't care, they've got the power, they're going to use the power to gaslight as many Americans as possible. Anyway, it just was truly horrifying. Skip it. Brother, thank you for having me on. I appreciate it. And I am your brother, praise the Lord. It's great to talk to you. It's great to know you're out there doing what you're doing. Now, for people who don't know what you're doing, How do you put it? I mean, if somebody says, you know, if they're not aware of you, maybe they're not country music fans or whatever.

I mean, you've been in the business for a long time. Yeah, I started in country music right out of high school. So I was basically, I was 19, freshly 19 when I took off on the road and started playing music around the country with a band called Lone Star way back in the day. And from there came along Big and Rich, which we still tour today. We actually have a show this weekend in South Carolina, so we play all over the country. And that's been my professional adult career since I was a kid. And before that, I spent many years just as a kid studying country music. You know, I was the kid that had the jam box with the cassette recorder inside of it where you could record songs off the radio.

You know, and then listen back to them and play them 100, you know, before you had a way to download something. That was the analog way of doing it, I guess, and learned those songs. Yeah. And then, you know, the songwriting side of what I do, really, I think, is probably what I'd like to be known for the most, more than singing or playing or anything like that, would be writing songs because to me that that's the biggest, that's the biggest mover shaker you can have is to take blank paper and turn it into something that affects millions of people. I also want to be known principally as a songwriter. The only problem, John, is I've never written any songs, and you have. So I think it could work out for you, but I don't think it's going to work out for me. I am a writer, and I know what you're talking about.

There's something, I've written all these books, and I take great pride and that there was nothing, and now there's something, and it exists forever, basically. So it's kind of a cool thing. So you've written a lot of songs, but the reason I have you on today, specifically, is because of this new song that, when did it come out, Revelation, when did that come out? I released Revelation about two weeks ago. Actually, it was two weeks ago today, two weeks ago today. Yeah.

That song came out. You know, I separated from the music industry about five years ago, going on six years now. So meaning no record label, no publishing company, none of that, none of the apparatus that most artists have. Separated from all of that because I knew that the kind of songs I wanted to write and the kind of conversations I wanted to have, like the one we're having right now, was not something that the industry was going to allow to happen. If they have you under a contract, they can say,

nice song, nobody's ever going to hear it. They'll just stick it on a shelf. You'll never hear it. Or, yeah, we know you'd like to talk to him, but, eh,

no, too controversial, you can't go on there. I mean, it's a total stranglehold from the liberal music industry. So I left. And songs like Revelation is a great example of something that, had I had a record deal when I wrote that song, you would have never heard it.

So this came out two weeks ago and went absolutely bonkers with no machine behind it other than no physical machine, big spiritual machine, I think, was behind it. And then people heard it, heard the message of it, and they just ran with it. Well, now I know you're the son of a preacher man. So you grew up in the faith. Have you been in the faith your whole life? Do you drift away and come back? Because you are clearly now very serious about your.

faith, but what is that story for you? Yeah, so first of all, my dad has been preaching since he was 19. He's now 72, almost 73, still preaching, but he didn't preach in big churches. He was a street preacher, priest in prisons. He preached at 34 Marty Graz in a row without missing one, standing on the street corner of the French quarter with a guitar hanging around his neck and a little speaker next to him on an appliance cart and would stand there as the parades went by a singing. and preaching to those crowds, 34 years in a row. Just imagine that. And got a lot of ridicule,

as you can imagine, not treated very well by the 99%, but he said, the reason I kept going is because about one out of 100 of those people would stop and ask me what I was talking about. And that's when I got to have my impact. He said, but why not just preaching big churches? Dad, he's a great orator. He's an extremely charismatic guy and preacher. He said, because the people I'm preaching to are never going to walk into a church building. I have to go to where they are. So that's where he went. Prisons, Mardi Gras, places like that.

That is so beautiful. So he's a maniac in the best sense of the word. Like this is a hero who's going to go into the to the boozy, half-naked crowds of Mardi Gras. Preach the truth of Jesus. That is utterly heroic. What an amazing legacy. What an amazing, amazing legacy. There's not a lot of pastors.

behind pulpits that would dare to do a thing like that. But so you were raised by somebody who has real courage. And to me, it's part of why we're having this conversation. What you're doing, going out there on your own, is a very brave thing. Now, the song, I just want to be clear, Revelation, it's about the book of Revelation. Talk about the song before we get into other stuff because this is, it's kind of, I laughed when I saw the video because Nick Searcy. I've interviewed him on the program a few times. He's playing the devil.

But talk about the song, the origin of the song. How did you decide to write it? And what's it about? Well, the first thing is I did not decide to write it, which is opposite of almost every song I've ever written. It's back in November of 23. Just minding my own business. And all of a sudden, I had this overwhelming feeling that this song needed to be written.

And all of a sudden, I had a melody in my head. I had lyrics rolling through my head. I mean, like somebody just hit me in the back of the head with a hammer. And I knew who it was because I had a physical reaction to that. You know, people say, well, how do you know the Holy Spirit's real? How do you know Jesus Christ is real? I go, well, I got to tell you, when he puts his hands on you, you know it. I mean, there's no debate.

You can't Jordan Peterson yourself out of that conversation. You can't intellectualize yourself out of that. when it happens, it's the real deal. Well, that's what happened with this song. I sat down, grabbed a pencil, a notebook, pulled a guitar off the wall in about 60 minutes. This song had been written. Then the question was, well, what do you want me to do with this? I mean, because this is not what you'd call a popular topic to sing about.

This is not how a hit song gets written. Yeah. And he said, yeah, that's not the point. And the feeling I had back the phrase that he hit me back with was take it all. the way to the mat, meaning make the best possible recording you can of it, make the best video you can, and then go out and tell the entire world as loudly as you possibly can what I just, what I just gave you with this song. It was, it was really a mission. It was a task. And so I took a lot of time working on how to roll this thing out, how to make that video represent what it needed

to represent. And what it does represent is spiritual warfare. Millions and millions of people in our country, I'd say maybe the whole country, even the unaware zombie members of our culture, know that something is not right. They just can't quite put their finger on it, but you can feel it in the air, you can feel it in your gut, you know, something is not right. There's a disturbance in the atmosphere. And people don't know what that is. They think it's, well, it's, it's the left and the right, or it's culture war, or it's whatever they think it is physically, but in reality, it's what's going on behind the scenes that's just on the other side of the very side of the veil as the Bible talks about the spiritual warfare that's going on that manifests itself into the

physical. And so this video is calling out that scenario. And when you see Nick Searcy riding up as the devil and you see Hollywood Yates coming down from heaven as an archangel to battle him, and I'm standing in between the two representing basically humanity, which is what they're both fighting for, I don't think there's ever been a piece of content like this that's ever come out. And I think it struck a chord with people because they know it on in their spirit. That is exactly what's going on. Well, it's funny. I mean, you don't really know me, but I've been saying this for a long time. And in fact, my new book, which is called Religinalist Christianity, the first line is, we are in a war. And I think this is what people are sensing. Even people like, I know you were in

Tucker Carlson recently, he's somebody in the last few years has picked up on this. There are other people that they would not be part of the evangelical Christian world, but they look around. This is just what you're saying. They think something is wrong. And it's not normal wrong. It's not political wrong. It feels deeper. It feels like evil. Evil. Feels like we're dealing with evil. And the good news is most people's response, if they smell real evil, is to turn to God, even if they wouldn't have done that in the past when they recognize evil. And I think that's exactly what you're saying. There are tons and tons of people saying, this is new. It's a new level of ugly. So what is happening? So I think that tons of people are turning to God, whether it's Russell Brand or other, they just sense that whatever is happening, the normal response to it is not sufficient. I have to turn to God. And so I think that that is, you're right, that is part of the response to this song. Folks, again, the song is Revelation. I'm talking to John Rich. You can go online. You can watch the video. Politics is very important, but we can't just rely on politics and politicians. We have to speak God's truth into the culture, sometimes literally and overtly, sometimes a little bit more, not on the nose, but that's what you're doing with this song.

I mean, this couldn't any, nothing could be more on the nose than a song called Revelation, which is literally about the battle between good and evil. I want to go back because I have had, I've had mystical experiences with the Lord visions and when it happens, you know it happened. It's not like, well, maybe it was something I ate or maybe it was in my mind. I mean, I have a lot of thoughts on my mind, but when God speaks or whatever, it's a whole different thing. And when you said about this song, it was like getting hit in the back of the head, you made it real clear. I just want to underscore this, that this is different from your normal songwriting process.

Because you've done a lot of, you've lived a life, you've written all these songs. You're saying this was different, that this really was God gets a hold of you in a different way. Yeah, because why would you write a song? about the book of revelation. That's not a fun thing to sing about. It's hard to make it rhyme. And then, God forbid, you did write a song like that. Then you have to go out and press that into the public and take all the incoming.

I mean, there's a whole process of that that flies right against conventional thinking about popular music. So this was a totally different exercise. And again, I was confounded as to, well, what do you want me to do with this now that it's written? And he just basically said, I want you to blast this thing as hard as you can. It's interesting that, you know, he'll,

the Lord will put you in positions in your whole life to get really sharp at whatever it is you're sharp at. You know, everybody's a different tool in the toolbox. And for me, what I'm best at is to take a thought, put that on paper, put music to it, and then project that out to everybody.

That's what I do. And I think if you're going to, to combat what the evil side of, let's call it, entertainment is doing, then you better come at a high level. You know, when we see Super Bowl halftime shows or the Grammy Awards and we see blatant satanic symbolism on the stage in front of our faces, we see witchcraft, we see seances and on and on, all this devilish stuff going on on mainstream television. And they've got these massive budgets to make it sound great, make it look great.

done at this really high level. If you're going to show the other side of that conversation and the truth of it, which is what Revelation is about, you better come at a high level. So I don't think I would have been even capable of putting this whole thing together, even just a handful of years ago. I think being able to figure out how to maneuver in the media without a record label, without a publishing company over the past several years, I've learned the routes and how to get through that situation and still get to millions of people.

with a song. So I think I think I was built to do it. And I'm happy to be the one to deliver it. You can imagine the responses I've had. It's been lots of positive responses and a lot of people just hate it, which is perfect because if nobody hates you in this world, you're not saying it correctly. I look at the hatred of wicked people as validation that I really hit the mark. They really don't like being exposed. They don't like what they're doing being discussed out in the open. Well, when you when you talked about the openly satanic stuff we're seeing now, this is, this is a, again, it's a big deal because there's been a lot of wickedness. There's been a lot of, okay, yeah, but something has changed. You're talking about it before.

It's like there's a disturbance. What changed? Suddenly, it's out in the open. Suddenly, the satanic is out in the open as satanic. It's not hiding. That's freaky. That's freaky. It's kind of like, you know, I was referring to presidents. I was referring to Joe Biden lying brazenly. We always expect politicians to kind of spin stuff. But when it's brazen, you go, whoa, what is happening? I've never seen this before. We're seeing brazen satanic imagery in the music business.

Talk about that a little bit more. Because what do you think that's coming from? Why would they do that? Because I think it's cool. It's edgy. I think because the devil. is the most arrogant creature that was ever created. I mean, he was so arrogant in the beginning.

He thought he could take God down. You know, he started a war in heaven and tried to become God, tried to replace him. And we all know what happened. He lost. And a third of the angels, including him, their leader got kicked out and have never been allowed their sense. And they've been defeated multiple times on the cross. When Jesus died, they thought they beat him there.

And then he came back from the dead, which was the ultimate defeat. And then they think they're going to beat him again right now. And that's where Revelation comes in. And he's going to let him go for a while. And then he's going to show back up. And it's game over. The song actually talks about that in the second verse. It says, brimstone upon their heads and millstones around their necks.

They'll feel the shaken when the trumpet sounds. And no matter where they hide, there'll be nowhere to run when Jesus puts his mighty foot on the ground. Meaning it's game over for you people when this happens. The very first time I posted the song on my ex account at John Rich, I said, this is the song called Revelation. I think it's the most important song I've ever written. I hope it brings courage to the saved, conviction to the lost, and absolute fear to the truly wicked. See, Christians are not supposed to run away from the devil. We're not supposed to be afraid of his people or what he is because us by ourselves, sure.

if it's just you yeah you should probably watch out with that but if you've got if you've got the lord in you in a real way he's not afraid of them at all that's where the verse resist the devil and he will flee from you meaning if jesus is in you and you tell the devil hey get out of here uh you you better get out of my face he will he'll he'll run out the door screaming he's but a lot of christians don't know that they have that authority they do not walk in that authority that's what we're talking about when we come back we'll talk more about that and other things talking to John Rich. John, you know, when you said that this song was given to you from God, you know, I mean, as a writer, I know that God has directed my career and all the books that I've written. But in the case of my second or last books called Letter to the American Church, I knew God said, write this message. It was different from all the other books that I had ever written. I just, I'd never experienced anything like it before. I just felt God said, do this.

You're saying that's what happened to you with this song. Because you have a career of writing songs. You know God is with you as you're writing them. But this song, Revelation, was different in that way. Yeah, I mean, it was, I mean, it was a direct download to use modern language. Wow. Direct download. Something's being downloaded into my head.

It's like if you open up your laptop and you see something downloading, you're like, wait, I didn't try to, I didn't. download that what is this downloading that's how it felt and it was as real as a heart attack and when you write something like this in under an hour uh that's also not possible there was no co-writers involved i didn't have other people to bounce ideas off of there were no ideas i mean this it's not even lyrics i mean all this is is what what john wrote about in revelation and i just made it rhyme i just put it together in such a way that it would rhyme all right so um i want to end this segment with playing the whole song because I want my audience to hear the song revelation.

And the number of people that have already, you know, watched the video and heard the song, it gives me hope that there's a hunger out there and that people are finding God through figures like you, through country music, which is the way it ought to be, is that people ought to be finding God through the culture. Again, it's why I do most of what I do. But where do you see this going from here? We just got a minute left before we play the song. It's just exciting. Well, I hope that Christians find a lot of courage out of this.

I would remind you of a verse, Second Chronicle 714, which is quoted all the time, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and turn from their evil ways, I will come and heal their land. And the part Christians have to focus on in that verse, he's not saying if the devil's people will stop it. If the devil's people will repent, I'll come and heal your land. He's saying, if my people. if the people that have my name that belong to me will turn around.

And so the onus is on Christians right now. We are the ones that have been standing around allowing this to happen without calling it out and without going to battle with it. So it's time for us to stand up and turn around. If you really want your country to be healed, stand up and do what the boss told you to do. All right. I like asking a cheeky question like that because you know that I don't believe the Bible can be wrong. it's the inspired word of God, but translations can mess stuff up. And I think I've mentioned it on this program.

I will go in depth into this, I think, next week. But in the passage in the book of Acts, where it talks about Paul being shipwrecked on Malta, Malta, right? That's the Italian island of Malta. That is wrong. The Bible say Malta. But the original New Testament documents, the Greek, does not say Malta. It says Meliti.

and a lot of people just assumed it was Malta. For a while, they assumed it was an island way up in the Adriatic just off of Croatia, but about 100 years ago they settled on Malta. So now all the Bible say Malta. But it's not Malta. It's actually Kefalonia or Cephalonia. That's the island where my father grew up, where I was just last week. And it's absolutely fascinating.

So I published, I translated the article. There's an article that was written about it. There's a whole book that's written about it. but there was an article that was written about the book, which was written in German. The book's written in German. The article's written in German. his name is Werner. I'm sorry, his name is Heinz Varneke. Heinz Varneke, this German scholar, figured this out. He wrote a book about it, 1987. an article was written about in 1988.
