Starting point is 00:00:10 Welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show. Did you like your gravy thick and rich and loaded with creamy mushrooms? If no one was looking, would you chug the whole gravy boat? Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug. Stay tuned. Here comes Mr. Chugg-a-lug-lug himself, Eric Mataxas. Hey, the folks, welcome back. Right now I get to talk to John Zmirak, and you get to listen in, which is fun.
Starting point is 00:00:38 John, we can talk about anything, but where do we start? This is going to be the problem today. Well, I wrote a column yesterday talking about President Trump was mulling. He put up a trial balloon. He was mulling. Yeah. He put up a trial balloon about offering amnesty to illegal immigrants who work in hospitality, the hotel industry, and agriculture.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Okay, now hang on. President Trump was mulling. I just like that phrase because I don't think of him as a muller. Do you think of him as a muller? No, he seems like somebody who shoots from the hip, but I think what he's like the decider, right? He just makes stuff happen. So the idea that he was mulling this, you said he threw up a trial balloon, put up a trial balloon. Put up a trial balloon.
Starting point is 00:01:30 He does that, though. I've noticed him doing this. He's done this even at rallies. We'll say, should we do this or this? What do I say? How many people want to do this? How many people want to do this? And I find it interesting because even when he's doing that, it's not necessarily what it seems.
Starting point is 00:01:45 In other words, he's kind of doing something besides just doing that. Here's what I think happened. People around him connected to big money donors in big agriculture, in big hospitality, were pressuring him to do an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens working. in those industries, who help those sweatshop industries make more profit and shift the burden of the cost to the taxpayer. Because when you have illegal immigrants working in a meatpacking factory or on a farm, if they get injured, they go to the public emergency room and they are cared for at the taxpayer's expense. So it looks like cheap labor, but in fact, all you're doing is
Starting point is 00:02:37 using Medicaid and emergency rooms as your benefits package. So it's basically those employers stealing from the taxpayer. Trump, I think, was under pressure from some on his team and some people who may be donors to do this. He put up the trial balloon, I think intentionally, to see his base shoot it down like the Hindenburg. My call- Like the Hindenburg, which, ladies and gentlemen, just to be clear, it was not shot down, but John's just making a point. Oh, no, Lee R.V. Oswald did shoot it down, acting. Also killed Jeffrey Epstein that we now learned from the FBI.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Yes, Lee Harvey Oswald did it all. Did it all. That's right. Thank you. So, um, his base, Trump's base went nuts. Uh, rightly so. Charlie Kirk, Steve Bannon, Jack Bozovich. Um, I think I was the most,
Starting point is 00:03:36 effective because Trump had to reverse course before my column even appeared. Just the rumor that my column. Just the rumor that Zmirich was coming after him. That's right. He scared him. There's no doubt that he was scared and he said, I better, I got to fix this because there's Merec is on me. It's over. It's over. Or he fixed it just to make me look stupid. So now my column will come out and it'll be obviously out of date. But ha ha, ha, I've tricked the president. I put a little postcript at the end. Yeah. explaining that the Trump administration has reverse course and taking full credit for it. Well, John, let me ask you because I do, I rely on you to help me think, think things through.
Starting point is 00:04:16 And let's suppose that there are 20 million illegals in the country, right? There are a lot more, but that's a low estimate. A lot more. All right. Well, I guess the point is we know we can't deport them all today or tomorrow or this week or this month or even this year. So we've got to start somewhere. So I guess there has to be some kind of a calculus that the president and his, the people who make these decisions are thinking this through.
Starting point is 00:04:47 So for example, politically, the best thing to do is to deport the violent criminals. That should be easy. And of course, even that hasn't been easy. But clearly we don't have the ability to deport everyone immediately. So there has to be some kind of a calculation. and maybe, let me just say this, maybe the idea is that people who have been here the longest are deported last. Well, here's the real calculus.
Starting point is 00:05:15 You want people to deport themselves. Got it. You want people to leave voluntarily rather than be deported. So I think what you do is you deport strategically the kind of people where it will result in four other people. self-deporting. Give us an example. Whom would you first deport who would fall into this category? People in big cities, people in big cities because they know lots of people, and if there
Starting point is 00:05:46 are raids happening at the factories where they're working illegally, if one guy gets deported, three other people will leave. Another thing you have to do is cut off all their benefits. Stop treating them at hospitals except for life or death emergencies. Cut off medical treats. Don't let their kids attend the local schools. Start doing things. Take away all the benefits that they're illegally collecting, and a lot of them will go home. And what we need is a mass self-deportation of illegals. Now, I've not heard anyone really talk about this. besides you, but you're assuring us that this is part of the calculus. It should be part of the calculus.
Starting point is 00:06:35 The calculus should be to maximize the number of people who leave, whether we deport them or they deport themselves. But wouldn't common sense tell you that your average person who's here illegally would think, you know what, they're just not going to deport me. I just don't see it happening. if you take away all the benefits, if they can't get treated in hospitals unless they were mortally wounded, if they can't go get free medical care, if their kids can't go to school, if they can't rent apartments, you, well, John, again, that's theory. Do you see that happening in places like New York and Dallas? It is happening. Self-deportation is a real thing. And in fact, it's the only. It's the only strategy that could work is you deport enough people and you get rid of enough benefits that people start leaving voluntarily.
Starting point is 00:07:33 But even if you make an effort to get rid of, just playing devil's advocate because I want to get to the truth here, even if you take away benefits, where are these people going? Are these people going to places where there are benefits? I mean, if I go back to Mexico or Ecuador, where do I go? They go home where they have social. There are benefits in those countries. These are not Victorian hellholes. They have hospitals in El Salvador. They have hospitals in Honduras.
Starting point is 00:08:00 They're not going back to the Stone Age. They're going back to a... Again, these countries are democracies. These are not people fleeing from dictatorship. They may claim to be fleeing. They may claim asylum, but we all know that's BS. It's a script that Catholic Charities has for them, and they tell them words to tell the judge
Starting point is 00:08:20 so they can't be deported. These are, we're not sending people back to their deaths. One of the most appalling things I ever heard, this is he, when I say dumb bishop, I mean, dumb even for a bishop, this bishop cites in South Texas, he said that if you want to send people, if you want to deport illegals, you're not really pro-life. That deporting deporting people is like aborting babies. That's only true if you think of Mexico and Honduras. as a medical waste dumpster.
Starting point is 00:08:53 I don't think of those countries as medical waste dumpsters with a fate equal to death, a fate equal to being torn apart in the womb. The whole idea that sending someone back to his own country, which again is not a dictatorship, is not a totalitarian hellhole, sending someone back to the country where he was born, is equivalent to aborting a baby and throwing it in the dumpster. That's the kind of hysterical, dishonest rhetoric. that you hear from churchmen, especially those like many of our Catholic bishops who made billions with a B, billions of dollars from the taxpayer, resettling immigrants through USAID,
Starting point is 00:09:34 which thankfully now has been dismantled. Well, when we come back, there's a lot more to talk about. Before I return to my conversation with John Zmirak, let me ask you, folks, are you rethinking your child's educational path? Are you wondering if their current school truly supports your family's values? Well, you are not alone.
Starting point is 00:12:24 and the Herzog Foundation is here to help. With the Trump administration working hard to abolish the Federal Department of Education, hooray, and to return control back to the states, there's never been a better time to explore Christian education. For too long, federal overreach has dictated how children learn or don't learn, but now parents have a greater say in their kids' futures. This shift could make Christian education more attainable than ever. The Herzog Foundation is your trusted guide to navigating these changes,
Starting point is 00:12:53 whether families are considering a Christian school, a hybrid model, or homeschooling. The Herzog Foundation provides the resources families need to make informed decisions. I am a big fan of the Herzog Foundation. Please check them out. Herzog Foundation.com. Herzog Foundation.com. John Smirak, welcome back. We're talking about a lot of stuff.
Starting point is 00:13:17 You said that President Trump was, he floated a trial balloon so that his base would freak out as we predictively did and said, no, no, no, we voted for you to do the right thing. And I think I want to say this. There is a human level here, folks. We're not saying, you know, we don't care about those people. We don't care. But the idea that we're in a world where it is our job as taxpayers, or not even mine and Johns, but there are all kinds of people in this country struggling, working class people.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Like my mom and dad and John's mom and dad, people that work really, really hard and paid their taxes, they do not have, you know, endless income to pump into taxes to help everybody in the world. And you know what? If they did, they would, but they don't. And so there are people in this country suffering. And we always make this binary choice between not caring for those people or caring for those people. But we never mention the Americans who are struggling right now. has to be the priority of the president.
Starting point is 00:14:23 My piece that's coming out in a few hours at stream.org, I talk about America as being like the prodigal son. We have been, the way we treated immigration for the last two generations, we just looked at the benefits, cheap labor. Somebody will clean my house so I don't have to do it. Somebody will mow my lawn for cheap. Somebody will babysit my kids. the food will be cheaper at the supermarket.
Starting point is 00:14:56 We looked at the short-term benefits of having lots of cheap labor roaming around the country. We basically outsourced key areas of life. For instance, until Biden threw open the borders to 20 million invaders before that, it was a literal one-for-one correspondence for every baby we aborted, we, imported one immigrant. It's as if the country knew it needed those people. We couldn't stop ourselves from killing babies for sexual convenience, but we still needed the people, so we brought them in from overseas. Hillary Clinton actually said, our birth rate is so low. We need immigration to keep our economy going. Think about that. Outsource the sweaty grunt work of reproducing
Starting point is 00:15:47 the human species to the third world. Let them do the, the, the grunt. the grunting and the baby changing, outsource our population to other countries, kill our own kids, contracept our own kids out of existence, and bring in foreigners to replace them. That is sick. That is what the prodigal son did.
Starting point is 00:16:11 The prodigal son took his inheritance prematurely, spent it on riotous living, and ended up in a pig style, eating the corn cobs meant for the pigs. That's America right now. We are the prodigal son laying in the muck eating corn cops meant for pigs. And will we get up, clean ourselves off and go back to the father? Will we mow our own lawns, have our own kids, raise our own kids, pick our own food, man our own factories?
Starting point is 00:16:43 Or are we going to rely on people coming in working without any legal protection, working in, working in, working basically in the conditions that Americans worked in in the 1880s, no labor laws, no health insurance, they can go to the emergency ward. But basically, we have set up. We've become addicted to cheap labor. And the arguments that we're being offered to Trump, we can't pick our own food. We can't man our own factories. You can't find Americans to do those jobs.
Starting point is 00:17:16 You can't at the low wages that these companies want to offer. But the thing is, you're actually paying for those people's health care anyway through the emergency ward. Why is it $10 for a band-aid at the hospital? Why, if you go to the emergency ward, is it $10,000? I mean, I don't know anybody who goes to an emergency ward. We go to urgent cares because they're not full of foreigners getting treated for free that will be billed for. This is a messed up system. It's a corrupt system.
Starting point is 00:17:48 set up to benefit a few stockholders, the people in big agriculture companies, big hospitality companies. Mark Corcoran over at the Center for Immigration Studies has documented it. Immigration, low-skill immigration, which is virtually all we get, is basically a tax on the working class to benefit the investor class. The only people who benefit from mass, low-skill immigration are people who own stock in large corporations. Everybody else gets screwed. What's more? The birth rate is suppressed by immigration. Think about this.
Starting point is 00:18:29 The public schools here in Dallas are like 60% foreign-born. 60%. English is not even the first language in most of those schools. You have kids whose dads are in foreign gangs. They can't teach in English. The standards are low. Basically, public schools are unusable in large parts of this country. So if you can't afford private school and you can't manage homeschooling, you're not going to have as many kids.
Starting point is 00:19:02 Immigration suppresses the birth rate. But then we say, oh, we need people. So we need more immigration. It's literally like getting, it's like drinking to deal with your hands. Oh, I got a hangover. I need the hair of the dog that bit me. And then you have more of a hangover. Immigration has become like a drug addiction,
Starting point is 00:19:21 and it is a sign of decadence that we don't want to mow our own lawns. George W. Bush just did a pro-immigration book, reminiscing about how great it was to be raised by a Mexican nanny instead of his mother. That's his basic argument is, well, who will change the diapers? Who will feed the children? The children will die. The children will starve to death in dirty diapers if there are no Mexicans here to take care of them because our lost wives don't want to touch them. That's not how a country lives.
Starting point is 00:19:53 That's a debt spiral. Well, so do you have any sense whether Trump and his administration can succeed in this? Because this is as tall an order as it gets. This is a big deal. But this is what we elected him to do. Well, I mean, just yesterday, I think it was yesterday, 10 members of Antifa did an armed attack on ICEA. Here in Texas, we have a terrorist network dedicated to attacking federal officers. We have state governments like California that will not cooperate with the federal government in enforcing our just democratically enacted immigration laws.
Starting point is 00:20:36 That's a tall order. That's a tall order. California is acting like South Carolina in 1861. Trump needs to reign in all those people, rain in those local governments, use federal power, punish the states that will not cooperate with him, and we need to crack down on the extremists, but it tells you just how high the stakes are. There are people willing to shoot ICE officers
Starting point is 00:21:02 for enforcing our immigration laws. That tells you how serious this is, how high the stakes are. And how is that not an insurrection when you have a violent, I mean, really? I mean, I'm not joking at all. But I mean, 10 people involved in a plot to kill, to murder ICE officers who were put in there by someone that we elected. How is that not an actual insurrection? Right.
Starting point is 00:21:28 And the judges, of course, are engaged in their own insurrection. We just had a federal judge say that Congress cannot defund Planned Parenthood. Congress doesn't have the power to write its own budgets because a federal judge doesn't approve of what they decided to do. I've been saying for a long time that Trump needs to defy these federal judges. I'm now leaning towards the idea that he needs to send them to that Salvador's supermax. One or two of those judges need to go to El Salvador's... Or at least Alligator Alcatraz. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:04 I mean, I think it might be time. Certainly Trump has to just defy these judicial orders. He has to just defy them. I mean, they have no, a federal judge has no more authority to rewrite the federal budget than I do to rewrite the Constitution. I'm going to rewrite the Constitution. I'm going to dress up in a black robe. I'm going to issue new amendments to the Constitution. I have as much authority as that judge does.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Back on my doing, I have some free time this afternoon. Okay, folks, to read, John, you have to go to stream. stream.org. Let me say it again. Stream.org. We'll be right back. Welcome back talking to John Samirak. John, can I ask your opinion of Elon Musk's American Party? Yeah, it's got to be the dumbest idea I've heard in a long time.
Starting point is 00:23:21 He's taking the most unpopular issues and gathering them all together. He's not saying anything about immigration. He's not saying anything on the social issues, but he does want to cut federal entitlement program. the one sacred cow in American politics. But think of the cracker check team he's assembling. That's right.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Anthony Scaramucci, Mike Pence, Mark Cuban. Wow, what a team, what a team. If only Jeffrey Epstein hadn't been killed by Lee Harvey Oswald, he could also be part of the team. Maybe Gisley Maxwell's alive. Maybe she can be part of it. But I mean, actually, I said this in the first hour before you came on, that, you know, listen, I have to give Elon,
Starting point is 00:24:03 credit. He actually cares about America. There's no doubt about that. He's real. He's real. He cares about America. But he doesn't understand how to govern. He doesn't understand politics. So the idea that he would petulantly say, I'm going to start a third party, it is childish. It is very, very stupid. But then when the names popped up of who wants to help him, Mark Cuban, Anthony Scaramucci, Mike Pence, hey, what about Mitt Romney? It's just, I mean, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's Comedic. Is it not comedic? Howard Stern. Chris Christie, there's got to be a place. No, there's got to be two places for Chris Christie. He needs two seats at the table. One for each haunch.
Starting point is 00:24:46 One for each haunch. I was hoping the word haunch would be used on the program this week. And already we've used the word haunch. Thank you very much, John Smir. It's a beautiful word. H-A-U-N-C-H-H-H-H-H-l. Look it up. Okay, so John, the, the, The question is whether maybe he'll come to his senses and realize that he's got this power. And maybe he can use his money and his instinct to help, you know, get MAGA people elected. People care about the same stuff that we care about. I mean, what would be great would be if he started targeting rhinos in the primaries. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Because rhinos are the biggest problem in America right now. I've said this before, but rhino is worse than a Democrat. the way a squatter is worse than a noisy neighbor. A squatter is in your house, eating out of your fridge, sleeping with your spouse. You want the squatter out. Rhinos are trying to take away our only political party. We will have no representation.
Starting point is 00:25:48 If America comes down to Camille Harris or Mike Pence, then the country's over. In that equation, Mike Pence squatting in the Republican spot is the real problem. We have people like John Cornyn in the Senate, people like John Thune, Tom Tillis, Kennedy, Cassidy, Louisiana, pretending to be Republicans, larping as Republicans, when in fact, they're just there. They are going to give us the same chaos the Democrats offer, but they're going to give it to us more slow. John, what is the word larping? I know I should know what that means. Live action role playing.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Live action role playing. Like people go to the Renaissance fair dressed as a knight and have a tin sword and, you know, convince they're the Knights Templar. I'm fighting for Western civilization by going to the Renaissance Fair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:53 So. Well, we haven't, I think I want to just mention the character of Elon Musk, it is genuinely shocking to think that some, I mean, it brings up the larger issue. And you've talked about this. I've talked about this. The idea that intelligence, it's like a computer that has intelligence. Like, it's nice to have intelligence, but then the question is, what do you do with it? It's very different from a conscience. And intelligence has nothing to do with morality or character. So here you have somebody who's incredibly brilliant,
Starting point is 00:27:27 but his character is obviously flawed. I don't know. He's not going to say that a state. He has like eight children, all artificial, all in vitro with eight different women. I mean, that alone tells you this man doesn't understand human relations. He doesn't understand how people work. He is almost like an AI himself. And it's poignant.
Starting point is 00:27:50 It's tragic. People should be praying for Elon Musk. This man has enormous power and enormous influence. And sometimes it has been used for good. But obviously, it can be harnessed for evil. Pray, pray for Elon Musk, pray for his conversion to Jesus Christ. That would be the most productive thing anybody can do. Rather than making fun of him, rather than snickering about him being autistic or mocking his social awkwardness,
Starting point is 00:28:22 we should be praying for him because he's someone who's not beyond. redemption. He's not like Bill Gates, who just hates the human race. Right. No, no, I really like Elon Musk. And I have to say there are a number of things about him. You know, when he talked about going against the woke mind virus that stole his son, who's, you know, a trans lunatic. This is a man who obviously cares about this kind of stuff. The fact that he cares about free speech and spent billions of his money, of his money. So, you know, he's worried about the birth rate, about demographic winter. He wants us to have more kids. This guy thinks the human race is a good idea, which Peter Thiel doesn't necessarily think so. I don't know if you saw Ross Duth.
Starting point is 00:29:06 I interviewed Peter Thiel, and he asked Peter Thiel, you know, do you want the human race to continue, right? And Peter Thiel stopped. And it took a long time before he offered a, in some form, I think it would be good if the human race continued, I guess. Well, I was wondering if as a Christian he was thinking about the end times, and it's not about the human race. race continuing forever. You know, I don't, I mean, I give him a little bit more credit. But, um, in any case, I think, uh, that Donald, sorry, that Donald, that Elon Musk is a good guy, uh, who has, um, some very bad judgment. We'll be right back. Welcome back talking to John Samirak. John, my gut is that there, there are people, I mean, if, if you're on X, I always notice
Starting point is 00:30:17 there, there, there are these EOR figures that no matter what happens, they're like, oh yeah, it'll never get fixed. And they're just insanely negative. They don't have any faith or any hope. They're like, oh, yeah, we'll get screwed. But trust me, we're going to get screwed. Nothing's going to happen. And anytime anybody doesn't do things the way they think they should be done, they're like they need to be fired or whatever. So when people go after Dan Bongino and Cash Patel, I feel like saying, ladies and gentlemen, it's like going after Donald Trump. It's like, wait a minute. Wait a minute. I think they've earned our trust so that we don't need to freak out if they're not moving precisely the way we should. Now, maybe they're not doing
Starting point is 00:30:58 everything right. But I don't think Dan Bongino or Cash Patel are the kinds of figures who are suddenly going to get rolled or bought or something crazy like that. So I think they have a communication problem. I don't think that they're very good. They ought to get in front of the American people and reassure us, but they're not, they don't do that. And so that to me seems to be the real issue, but I don't think that there are people that don't care about what they've spent years talking about. I'm afraid that they have hit institutional resistance so powerful that they actually can't fix it. I think the deep state is a lot darker and a lot stronger than they realized or then we realize. And the fact that none of the Epstein files are going to come forward, the fact that
Starting point is 00:31:49 that people, we have every reason to trust, seem powerless to fix things, is profoundly alarming. And rather than demonize the people like Patel and Bongino and Pam Bondi, we should be sobered by the fact that we, against all odds, got President Trump in office, he survived, literally dodged bullets. and he can't get to the bottom of the assassination attempts against him. We're not seeing the people who persecuted the January 6 defendants. None of them are going to prison where they belong. The deep state is not getting cleaned out. I wish someone like General Flynn, Mike Flynn, were in place.
Starting point is 00:32:41 But I wonder, I wonder just, what it is they said to these people, why they can't release the Epstein information. I mean, let's be clear. Jeffrey Epstein was a creature of the CIA. He was recruited by Bill Barr's father, who was a CIA agent, recruited to teach at an elite high school, Dalton School in Manhattan, without a bachelor's degree. Doesn't have a BA recruited to teach at this elite school in Manhattan.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Right. Within a couple of years, suddenly, with no qualifications, he's running hedge funds for billionaires, and then running a sex island to cater to perverts who like underage girls. Gisland Maxwell, his partner, is the daughter of a Mossad agent, Robert Maxwell. It stinks of being what they call a honeypot or honey trap operation, where you lure people in with sexual, favors so that you can blackmail them. That seems to be what Epstein Island was. And what I think happened is people in the deep state said to the Trump people, look, here are all the people who would be compromats. Here are all the national security threats you're going to create. You're going to give
Starting point is 00:34:03 leverage to Russia, leverage to China, leverage to Iran. It's not in America's national interest for this material to be exposed. I think that's a lie. I think the greatest threat to America right now is our own deep state. They stole the 2020 election. They persecuted Trump supporters, pro-lifers, PTA moms, Latin mass Catholics. Our deep state is our greatest enemy. If the FBI came to my door, I would call a drug cartel to protect me from it. Wow. That's a great statement, John. I think I'd call the mafia, but either way, the point is made. That's where we are. Wow. Emerald Robinson put this on to it. It's basically what you just said, but this was the best explanation I heard. She says, it's just what you said. The Epstein files have been disappeared by the
Starting point is 00:35:05 Trump administration because Epstein was a honeypot operation. for Israel with help from the CIA and MI6. That means our intelligence services have blackmail on our politicians and elites. That's why we live in a banana republic. Again, trying to make sense of this, that sounds like the best explanation. It does. It does. But who makes this decision? I mean, does Pam Bondi make the decision?
Starting point is 00:35:30 Does Cash Patel make the decision? Who says, okay, we're going along with it? I think ultimately it's Trump, and I think that they must have spooked to Trump. They must have given him information. So give us an example. Who we've got dirt on so-and-so. We don't want it to come out. What kind of a so-and-so are we talking about?
Starting point is 00:35:49 What are the kind of names that we've got dirt on them? And again, what's the dirt? Again, I think probably I would differ a little bit with Emerald, who is a brilliant, courageous reporter. but my take on it is rather that they probably told Trump this would damage national security. This would help Russia. This will help China. And it's not good for the country. I think that's the only kind of argument.
Starting point is 00:36:14 But how so? I mean, I just, I don't know the details that, you know. But make it up. You're good at this stuff. Let's make up a possible scenario. Okay. This could bring down two Western European governments and pro-Russian elements would take advantage to that. Or this
Starting point is 00:36:33 would expose our agents operating underground in China. I don't know what lie they would come up with. I don't know the trade craft, but I think Trump is an honest and good man. I think Patel and Benjino, these are good men. So
Starting point is 00:36:48 I don't think something as crass as blackmail is behind it. I think the deep state operators who are behind this cover up probably came up with a really scary scenario of how this would hurt American security. And unfortunately, I think the president listened. And why does the deep state care about this list? Because they were the ones running it. Think about it. The CIA was running a sex trafficking
Starting point is 00:37:18 operation in order to get blackmail on people. There are a lot of CIA agents still working there who were involved in doing that. They should be in prison. They don't want to go to prison. So they're going to come up with some scary story to spook the president into not exposing them and sending them to the prison cells where they belong. Ladies and gentlemen, this is why I bring John Zmirach onto the program. We'll be right back. For so long now, oh, you're a hard one. But I know that you've got your reasons. Folks, before we leave for the day, I just want, this is breaking news, John. I put
Starting point is 00:38:16 this, I have my Twitter is in front of me here. And when I saw this, I said, I have to comment on this. Global updates. Breaking. Breaking news. Pope Leo says marriage is only possible between a man and a woman. Ladies and gentlemen, the Pope, this is breaking news. The Pope has said something, it's as crazy as it gets. but he said it. Marriage is only possible between a man and a woman. John, what do you make of the fact that we live in a world where things are so pathetic that our standards are so low that we're excited when the Pope comes out? And it says, ladies and gentlemen, one plus one equals two.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Breaking news. Like, really? It's a big improvement on the last Pope who was constantly saying things like, open borders are a moral imperative. Communism is good. Christianity is stupid. Give up. Two plus two is five. It is good to have a pulp
Starting point is 00:39:21 who is not a low- IQ communist sociopath. I just got to say. You know, that's good. That's good. Again, this is why I have you on here. I need you to help me process this because that's correct. What you're saying, it's exactly correct. It is helpful that it was, but I just wish you'd keep going, you know? Yeah. That's a good start, right?
Starting point is 00:39:39 I'm worried that this pope will be more conservative on moral issues, but will continue to push open borders, which is what the globalists really want. They want to destroy the West. They want to destroy America. Open borders are the way to do it. And the nonsense that unless you want endless immigration of low-skill people coming in and going on welfare, you can't oppose killing babies for sexual convenience. That is so stupid. It is so dumb. But this so-called seamless garment, the people who say, unless you want endless welfare programs, no death penalty, pacifism, you can't oppose abortion. They tried to destroy the pro-life movement by making it into this idiotic utopian worldview that no human being could actually support. and Cardinal Joseph Bernardine, who was very close to communist agitators, Saul Linsky people, he created this seamless garment thing as like a fig leaf for Democrat politicians with Italian or Irish last names like Cuomo and Pelosi and Biden. It was just an excuse for being pro-abortion a lot.
Starting point is 00:40:58 You know, I differ with a church on abortion, but, you know, you don't agree. with the church about Medicaid funding and gun control, the Catholic left is the stupidest left. It's like the Special Olympics of the left. It's the short bus. I guess you don't have the skills to operate in secular liberalism. They go into the church where, you know, you don't need the same IQ. Well, again, in the world of the obvious, like the Pope saying marriage is between men and
Starting point is 00:41:26 woman, the New York Times just said that, you know, it's like breaking. the IRS tells us that churches actually can endorse candidates from the pulpit. And you think, I mean, what I said on Twitter is that every pastor with a spine already knew this and was doing it. So the idea that, oh, now it's official, I just think if you're going to a church now where the pastor is not incredibly clear on this kind of stuff, now that the New York Times is reporting the IRS says that they can do this, you need to find another church. That's basically where I am. John. Well, I choose my church is based on the validity of the sacraments offered, but, you know, we can agree to differ. That's good. That's good, John. I can't argue with that. I mean, I could, but I won't because that's, but I'm just saying that it's amazing to me that, you know, the IRS now says this. And you think,
Starting point is 00:42:20 well, I always believed in free speech on the Constitution and freedom of religion. So this idea that I would be cowed by losing my 501c3 status, that that's going to shut me up, that I never had been happening in the first place. Anyway, we're out of time, John. Always great to speak with you. Thank you.
