Welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show.
Did you like your gravy thick and rich and loaded with creamy mushrooms?
If no one was looking, would you chug the whole gravy boat?
Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug.
Stay tuned.
Here comes Mr. Chugg-a-lug-lug himself, Eric Mattaxas.
Hey there, folks.
Welcome to a new week.
It's Monday, August 4th.
And there is so much to cover.
I know I say that all the things.
time. But I'm not kidding. I don't know if we're going to get through it all. There's a lot of news
in a little bit we're going to have our friend John Zmirak on to help us process the news.
Looking forward to talking to John Zmirak. I was just in Texas this weekend. Yesterday,
I was in Houston. We were there for the wedding of our very dear friend, Sarah Blakemore,
who's now Sarah Stewart,
just tremendous to be at the wedding,
to be part of the wedding.
Stuart, that sounds Scottish.
Did you wear a, oh, did you wear a kid?
It's not that I know of,
but I got to tell you,
the,
what's creepy sometimes is when people tell me
that they've been listening to this program
and they'll mention something that I don't remember saying.
Yeah.
And I guess when I had John Smirak on the program,
program last week. I mentioned, you know, that I'd be going to this wedding in Houston. And
John's Merrick, of course, nastily said something about, eh, Houston in August. And I said, oh, well,
fortunately, we found one of those air-conditioned hotels, you know, so we're going to be fine.
And at the wedding, there's somebody who's a mutual friend of Johns and mine, Bruce Dunn. And he reminded
me that I had said that on the program. And I thought, so there are people listening.
to this program who remember things that I said that I don't remember saying that's I need to be
more careful with what I say.
It's like having a thousand wives out there.
It's very similar to that.
So, well, look, there's a lot I want to cover before we get to John Zmirak.
First, first things first.
As you know, I mentioned I was just in Texas.
A lot of the people in the Blakemore world live or work in Austin.
which is the capital of Texas,
which is not so far from the horrible flooding that occurred.
So we were talking to some folks there
that had been involved in relief efforts.
And we continue through this week
to be involved ourselves on this program
in raising funds through food for the poor.
And we are asking you, if you haven't yet done it,
because people are still reeling from the horror.
We're asking you to go to our website metaxis talk.com
where you can see a banner.
It says give life, food for the poor.
There's another banner I think that says, Help Texas.
You'll see the banner.
When you click on it, we're asking you to help.
For those of you who have already helped, let me say thank you.
These are emergency relief efforts all throughout the month of July and now into August.
I believe this is our last week.
So if you haven't yet stepped up, this is it.
Together through Salem Radio.
So that's this program and many other programs on the Salem Radio Network.
We've raised $300,000.
And again, that's to rush relief supplies, food and other essentials to Central.
Texas. So I just want to say how grateful I am to those of you who have already given and how
grateful I am to those of you who will give again today in the next couple of days is it.
This is, it's not possible without your help. So we do need you please to do what you can.
If you want the phone number, I'll give you that. And there's a text. Anyway, the, the, the
emergency relief kits are helping ease the crisis.
That's what your money pays for.
$50 pays for one of them.
And we really do hope that you can be part of this.
The phone number, I think it's the wrong phone number I have on that what was sent to me.
So, Chris, if you can find the phone number for this segment.
844-863-4673.
844-863-4673.
And if people want to text Metaxus, M-E-T-A-X-A-S to 5-1-55-5-5-5.
They can do that, 5-1-5-5-5 to make a gift through your phone as well.
So it's 844-8-4-8-Tradup.
My friend Tom Tread-up gave us the wrong information here.
He gave us Hugh-Huitt's information.
Now, Hugh-Hu, it's a good man.
But this program is the Earth Mattaxas show.
So, yes, that's the right number.
8-4-4-6-3-467-3.
844-866373.
I know there are many of you who mean to give,
but you haven't yet had a chance.
Please, folks, step up today.
844-863-4-6-7-3, 8-4-863, 8-4-6-7-3.
Or text metaxus to 51555.
Again, text metaxis to 5-1-555-5.
You have to spell my name correctly.
It's M-E-T-A-X-E-E-T-A-X-E.
A.S. Metaxus to 51555.
Where the easiest thing is just go to metaxis talk.com.
You'll see the banner at the top of the page.
This is urgent. This is an emergency.
So we're asking and asking and asking.
And God bless you for being willing to help.
Okay. So there's a lot of stuff in the news.
Some of it will cover with John Zmirak.
In hour two, I think we're going to talk to our friends at the lines defending freedom.
But, okay, in the news, where to, to say,
begin. How about Hillary Clinton? I remember in 2016, when I publicly came out for Donald Trump,
many of my Christian friends and many of my conservative friends really attacked me. They didn't
just differ with me. They attacked me for doing this insane thing, encouraging people to vote for
this monster named Donald Trump. And I thought, well, he doesn't seem like a monster to me.
He seems like a good guy. But in case you need context, the other person running is Hillary Clinton.
Genuinely, one of the most corrupt politicians in the history of our country, if you want to
know how far we have slid from George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, all you need to do is think that
Hillary Clinton was running for president of the United States.
Well, now we know what I have known, but now it's official.
Now you can't avoid it, that she is corrupt, publicly immoral, doing things that they're immoral.
You know, what people say, it's wrong, it's correct.
It's immoral.
It's lying.
It's creating gigantic.
lies, gigantic lies to push on the American people, which shows your contempt for the American
people. So she pushed this Russia hoax lie on the American people. The satanic leaders of the FBI
and CIA said, oh, we think we can use this too. We don't really care about the will of the
American people. They're scum. We're elite. We know better. Folks, that's what led to the American
Revolution. And what we've been going through has been like a second American Revolution.
corrupt elites who do not believe that you or I have natural God-given rights.
So it came out recently that the details, I should say, are coming out.
They're being publicized.
And there's nowhere to run.
Hillary Clinton, Jim Comey, all of these people have done exactly what the founders set up a nation
that leaders would not do.
They have done these things.
I have been aware of it.
A lot of people have been aware of it,
but you talk and talk and people say,
oh, shut up, you know, we don't want to hear it.
We don't believe you.
You're biased.
Well, I don't want to be biased.
I'd like to think I'm wrong.
But if you see evidence of things,
you have an obligation to speak up.
And of course, now only by the grace of God, folks,
only by the grace of Almighty God,
is this stuff coming out.
And what has come out about Hillary Clinton is so damning, let her see if she can get out of this one. Let her see. Let's see, you know, it's kind of like the long arm of the law. Eventually, usually it does catch up with you. But it's only by God's grace because these people have been getting away with really wicked stuff. And again, it just shows their tremendous contempt for you, the voter, the American citizen. So when we come back, we'll give you some more details on that. Lots more. Crazy.
stuff and then John Smirak. Don't go away.
Folks, just to remind you, the flooding in central Texas has taken over 100 lives.
Many people still missing. We on this program are asking you to join us in Food for the Poor
as we rush emergency relief to devastated families. Please call 844-863-4673 or text Metaxus to
5155 to give right now or you can click on the banner.

Hey, folks. It's Monday, 4th of August. Chris Heimes and Keith Jinta, am I the only one who's
perpetually staggered by the passage of time? It's August, 2025, a million years into the future.
Well, I don't know if you have Facebook, but it's terrifying because now the app will send you a
photo of a really nice memory from like eight years ago to compare to now. It's like it wants you to make
a post of today, you know, a picture of you and that person from today to compare it to contrast
to a kind of thinner, younger looking version of you. And it's terrifying. I have, you know, it's terrifying.
I have staff who, who put, you know, what I put on X, Twitter or what I put on Instagram,
they often posted on Facebook.
I never looked at Facebook anymore, ever, ever, thank the Lord.
But the passage of time, it's the 4th of August.
I just don't, I just, I'm stunned.
I was mentioning that we were at a wedding in Houston.
And this is just something I want to share that Suzanne,
who means a lot to our young friend who just got married,
Sarah was asked to do a reading.
And the day before the readings, Suzanne is sharing with me the reading.
And it's from the book of Surrock.
And I said, why?
I said, excuse me, what?
Book of Surrach, that's not canonical.
What is that?
And, you know, Suzanne's, oh, it's in the Catholic Bible.
Now, of course, there's no such thing is the Catholic Bible.
There's just the Bible.
But Catholics typically, when they print a Bible, they include what we call the
apocrypha.
So it's a little different.
It's not, I don't know if the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church consider it canonical.
And this is, it's kind of funny because I show my ignorance of these things.
I ought to know more having written a big biography of Martin Luther, but what's exactly canonical and what's not?
But the reason it matters, and maybe Keith, you have a thought on this.
But I think to myself, when we say this is the word of the Lord, you know, that's different from reading some nice ideas from a book of Marcus Aurelius or something from Plato's dialogues.
That can be beautiful and true, but I don't say it's the word of the Lord.
And at the end of the reading from the book of Surrach, which, you know, it sounds like
Proverbs, it's biblical in its content.
But, you know, 1 plus 2, 1 plus 1 equals 2 is biblical, right?
It doesn't contradict the scripture.
It's consonant with the scripture, 1 plus 1 equals 2.
But when I read 1 plus 1 equals 2, I don't say the word of the Lord.
So I don't know, Keith.
I wasn't, I obviously wasn't prepared for this, but am I right to say that Jesus quoted from the book of Enoch?
So Enoch is in the apocrypha.
Enoch is not part of the, you know, Reformation, the Christian Bible.
That's exactly correct.
But then Jesus quotes it.
So at the time, that book was considered something that Jesus would have quoted.
So is it the word of God?
It's the same thing about the book of Sarac.
The book of Sarac, it seems to me, would have been known to Jesus,
would have been known to the first century of Israelites, right, to the Jews.
So it is, I guess, well, so, but it's challenging, though,
because those of us who have a high view of scripture,
when we say the word of the Lord, it is utterly sacred.
And, you know, it's interesting that,
Luther, everybody who's big on Luther is like, oh, Luther, Luther, Sola Scripura, Sola Scripura.
Like he cares so much about Sola Scripura, and he was going to leave the book of James out.
Hey, Martin, you might have screwed up there, Marty.
So it's really interesting.
And I think there's a danger of, you know, those kinds of questions undermining our high view of scripture.
Because to me, it is the Word of the Lord.
So it's something that I'm thinking about.
But anyway, I just thought I'd bring that up.
Other things that have been going on on the news,
maybe we'll cover some of this with John Zmirak.
I mentioned Hillary Clinton.
I think, I want to say this so you hear it.
Buckle your seatbelts for what lies ahead.
You want to talk about uncharted territory.
Arresting James Comey,
Clapper, Brennan, Hillary Clinton, and on and on and on.
that's going to happen.
And we are not prepared for this.
A lot of people like to say,
oh, Hillary should be arrested.
You don't know what you're saying.
That is a dramatic thing.
When someone who is the first lady
of the United States of America is arrested,
that's a big deal, folks.
And just because they did it to us
doesn't mean it's okay.
Just because they did it to my friend, Roger Stone,
just because they did it to my friend John Strand,
just because they did it to my friend Brandon Strach and so many others.
It doesn't mean it's something we take lightly.
However, I do hope that these folks, if this stuff is true and it seems clear that it is,
that they are arrested.
But we ought to do it soberly, okay?
First and foremost, I'm a Christian.
And I take no delight in capital punishment.
I take no delight.
We ought to do it weeping.
Chuck Holson, my hero, my mentor, my friend Chuck Holson,
when he came out for the death penalty,
when he said, I think that we need to have the death penalty for certain crimes,
he said, but we ought to do it weeping.
We don't say, ha, good, good.
If that's your heart, you need to examine your heart before God.
God wants us to have compassion and grace.
That does not mean we don't.
want justice. We want justice. But try to remember that, you know, the man who tried to kill Pope
John Paul II, Pope John Paul II, went to his cell and prayed with him and personally
forgave him. That doesn't mean he was let out of prison. So we have to have to understand
how these things work. Justice, there's justice. And when somebody commits grievous crimes,
there needs to be justice. They need to pay the price. They need to go to jail if
just as you or I would be forced to go to jail if we did these things.
But we ought not to rejoice.
We ought to pray for the salvation of Hillary Clinton.
We ought to pray for the repentance of these folks.
But we also long for justice.
So it's a little complicated, but I want to say, I don't think most people are really prepared for what lies ahead.
Donald Trump has made it clear that he knows what happened.
He let Hillary off the hook in 2016, 2017, because he's a nice guy and he thought, oh, the country needs to heal.
And then they did what they did to him.
And he realized, okay, it's kind of like, you know, if a kid does something and you just say to him, listen, I'm going to let you go this time, but watch it.
And then they do it again and again and again.
You're like, okay, I gave you a chance now, you know, you're going to deal with the consequences.
And I think that what Hillary Clinton and company did, again, I don't think we have context for the wickedness of it.
We say Watergate, Watergate, I promise you, if you're any student of Watergate or history,
you understand that Watergate is absolutely nothing compared to what we are discussing here.
They cannot be compared.
The fact that Watergate is the high watermark for scandal is a joke.
That is part of, again, part of the lies that we've lived through in the last 50 plus years that, oh, Nixon was so bad. You have no idea. You can't even begin to compare. By the way, Lyndon Baines Johnson was infinitely more corrupt than Nixon. I wouldn't even go so far as to say that Nixon was corrupt. He made some mistakes. But Johnson, I mean, so you have to know history. What we are facing right now is really astonishing.
stuff. It's really astonishing stuff. And Eric, if I could add to this, I know we're getting
to the end of the segment here, but the never-trump Christians, you talked about the passage of time,
the never-Trump Christians who have gone on and on in this J-29 and the after-party and all these never-trumpers
who have been bashing Trump and his administration all this time now are silent.
on the evidence that's been presented.
That shows you that they're disingenuous.
They have no doctrine of sin.
They have no understanding of good and evil.
And we are really watching a sadly and horribly weak moment for the church.
We should be speaking out on these things as they should be in the way you are right now.
I think all these people are embarrassed, and I don't blame them for being embarrassed.
Look, I get stuff wrong, and it's embarrassing when you get stuff wrong, but you want to try to be public about it.
Um, and, and so-
the rings, Eric, wasn't it?
Didn't you start to feel sad for Gallum at a certain point when he was just
trying to express.
Exactly.
I mean, it was just Hillary trying to get this political power and cling to it at all
cost.
I mean, what's so wrong about that?
What's wrong about that?
Exactly.
So it's, uh, it's, it's complicated.
It's complicated.
Um, I've got, uh, so much more I, I want to share.
Maybe I'll share it with John Smirak.
Usually on Mondays, I kind of want to, it all piles up over the,
weekend. I want to share stuff. I'm going to remind you, we are in desperate need of helping the folks
who suffered because of these terrible floods in central Texas. Please step up. Go to metaxistalk.com
right now, metaxis talk.com. I know it takes a minute, but we need you to step up. Metaxistocococon.com.

God bless you.
Every morning at the mine, you could see him arrive.
He stood six foot six and weighed in two forty five, kind of broad at the shoulder and narrowed the hip.
And everybody knew you didn't give no...
Folks, welcome back.
Yes, yes, I said that if you were bad, I would have as my guest, John Smirak.
But I also said to be perfectly clear that if you were very good, I would also have as my guest, John's Merak.
So I don't know if this is a reward or punishment.
That's up to you.
But my guest is John Zmirich.
John, welcome back.
Eric, good to talk to this.
I was in Houston.
I was mentioning I was in Houston where it's very humid.
But you know what?
They have a lot of air conditioning down there, John.
You probably aren't aware that air conditioning technology has made its way, I believe, all
the way to the Gulf of America.
I believe they have it in Galveston.
So it's really exciting to be able to report that.
to you. Unfortunately, since Pope Francis condemned air conditioning, every time I use it, I'm committing
a sin according to him. Are you serious? Pope Francis condemned air conditioning? In one of his many
environmental encyclicals, I think, the first one about climate change, he actually condemned
air conditioning as one of the things that's making life unsustainable. He was actually a sort of
calling for the entire world to kind of revert to like a ninth century level of technology.
And this is actually the whole climate cult seems to be saying that we need to regress
to the technological condition of Europeans during the Little Ice Age, the Little Ice Age,
which was, so they want us to live like the Saxons undergoing.
biking invasions and huddling and freezing in the dark. And to be fair, they also do want us to be
invaded by aggressive foreign immigrants who don't share our religion, who will rape our women and
take our staff. So I'm getting a coherent worldview from the global. That's very encouraging.
That's very encouraging. Now, listen, I want to get right to it. There's a lot of crazy stuff to
talk about. We could talk about Candace Owens. We talk about Tucker Carlson. We talk about Hillary Clinton.
there's a lot of crazy stuff in the news.
There's currently a war between Tucker Carlson and Laura Lumer.
And it, like the war between Candace Owen and the Macron family,
I would like both sides to lose.
This is kind of like the Iran-Iraq war.
Both sides have major, major flaws.
And you, I have to say, I take no joy.
And I've said this.
I take no joy.
away in people who are, you know, mostly right, going at each other's throats on what they
disagree on, you know? And I guess Laura Lumer, you know, has been a hero in many ways,
but she has obviously, she's so upset by Tucker Carlson that she's, that she put out a thread
yesterday, accusing him of covering up the Hunter Biden laptop story because of his friendship
with Hunter Biden. But today, Miranda Devine, whom I know, who is a hero journalist at the
New York Post, she says that none of that is true and that Tucker Carlson had her on his program
back when he was on Fox talking about the Hunter Biden laptop. So it's, it's-
Eric, you and I both watched him interview Tony Bobbalinsky, Hunter Biden's old business associate, and implicate Joe Biden in the illegal dealings that were documented on the laptop.
I think both Hunter, both Tucker Carlson and Laura Lumer have gotten kind of deranged on certain issues. I think Tucker Carlson is showing an anti-Jewish bias in some of the guests he brings on.
He should not be platforming someone like Daryl Cooper, who is a Nazi apologist.
I'm sorry, that crosses so many moral lines.
I can't even begin to express it.
Listen, let's look, let's, because I always want this program to be different in, in a good way.
Yeah.
It's okay for someone to criticize Israel.
Especially the current, especially the current government of Israel.
It's one thing to say you love the Jewish people,
and you can dislike many things the current government of Israel is doing,
the way you could love America while criticizing the Biden regime, right?
It doesn't mean you're anti-American if you condemn the January 6th crackdown on the voter fraud.
So it is not intrinsically anti-Israel to criticize policies of the current Israel government,
and to prove that, let me criticize a couple right now.
It seems to me that there are strong elements in the Israeli government who want to annex Gaza.
They want to empty it of its current population and annex it.
This strikes me as morally wrong and also a tragic, stupid mistake that would be very bad for Israel.
It would be very bad for the Jews to try to annex all that land.
Now, when you say annex, what do we mean by the word annex to annex Gaza?
What do you mean?
Drive out the current population.
take it, make it part of Israel, settle it with Jewish people.
Okay, why is that a bad idea? Tell me why that's a bad idea, because I'm not convinced
that's a bad idea. I guess I don't understand it. Go ahead.
Okay. First of all, when Serbia did it, when Serbia tried to drive all the Muslims out of
Kosovo, the whole world united against it and we bombed it because ethnic cleansing is
something that has been condemned since World War II, and shortly after World War II,
or two.
It's a little different.
No, it's not different.
No, it's exactly, exactly, exactly the same thing.
Are you saying exactly the same thing?
It is exactly the same thing.
So if you think it was open, I sided with the Serbs back in the 90s, okay?
I was one of the few people who said they settled a bunch of Albanian Muslims in Serbia's
heartland.
They should be able to run them back to Albania and keep their heartland.
The whole world united against Serbia when Serbia did it.
I apply the, we need to apply the same standards.
Okay, going to a break.
Hang on, going to a break.
We will continue this on the other side.
Don't go away.
Plenty time together to talk about this with John Smirak.
I'm talking to John Smirik.
John, you're making the case about why it's wrong for Israel to want, well, what?
To drive the population of Gaza out of Gaza,
them to Europe or the U.S., because nobody else is going to take them.
So I don't want more Muslims in Europe.
So I don't want to say, well, Israel, we'll solve your problem.
Take your Muslims and send them to us.
No, not one more Muslim should arrive in Europe, in my opinion.
Ethnically cleansing countries is generally considered a very bad thing.
It was very bad when Azerbaijan did it to the Armenian Christians.
And unfortunately, Israel actually provided some of the weapons.
The Israeli government, the current Israeli government, is doing some things which we as conservatives and Christians should not support.
That doesn't mean we adopt conspiracy theories where we blame Israelis or Jews for all sorts of things that they had nothing to do with.
We should be siding with Israel, but not encouraging Israel to do foolish, immoral things that will hurt it in the long run.
I think if they dump everyone out of Gaza, it will.
cut off any chance of peace with the rest of the Arab world.
There are large parts of the Arab world that would like to have a peaceful, normal relationship with Israel,
because they see it as much, much less of a threat than Iran.
Doing this, emptying Gaza, would kill that for 30 years.
So I think it's a bad idea from Israel's point of view.
Okay.
What do you think it is, what is Candace Owens?
Wait, wait, wait.
Before we go off on Candice Owen, I want to finish this thought.
There is a better solution for Gaza.
Right now, we are being shoehorned into a binary of two horrible choices.
Ethnically cleansing Gaza and sending them all to Paris and London and New York,
or letting Hamas control Gaza and continue to commit appalling, hideous, sickening terrorist attacks on Israel.
There is a third option that no one's talking about except me.
Give Gaza back to Egypt.
It was part of Egypt into the 1970s.
It was historically part of Egypt.
We need to find a way a combination of carrots and sticks to get Egypt to take Gaza back.
Israel can build a wall along the border the way it did in the West Bank, which reduced terrorism there to almost zero.
This could be solved.
Instead of removing the whole population, you transfer sovereignty.
to an Arab government.
And what are Arab, let me just finish,
what are Arab governments good at?
Repressing Arab dissidents.
Give Egypt, whatever it takes,
bribe them to take over Gaza
and crush Hamas themselves.
That is the least bad solution
in this tragic situation.
Why do you think nobody has suggested that?
Because they want to force us
into this binary.
The people who want to annex Gaza,
who want that land.
They want to say, well, it's the all alternative to Hamas doing October 7th all the time.
So you have to let us take the land.
The Arabs, for their part, they want Hamas to keep attacking Israel.
And they want to say, well, the only alternative is ethnic cleansing, and that's morally unacceptable.
How is what you're saying different from saying, how is what you're saying really different from saying to the people
in Gaza, we want you to live in Egypt.
Please move to Egypt.
How is that any different?
Why should they have to?
There's nothing sacred about the land of Gaza.
Is there?
Well, it's their land.
They're living on it.
They're native.
They were born there.
Why not ethnically cleanse all the white people from Manhattan?
You all have to move to us, Chester.
Actually, that's happening.
Zorimamondon becomes mayor and says everybody who's in our person of color has to live in
Manhattan.
All right.
Look, we have to deal with the situation as it is.
Gaza has been a brief.
reading ground for Hamas terrorism.
So we're not talking about Serbian Muslims.
We're not talking about a unique situation.
It's not unique.
Gaza had one election where Hamas won back in something like 2007.
I don't think you can blame the people, like everybody living there now, for one narrow
election that elected Hamas, the last election they had was 2007.
They haven't had a free vote.
They've been essentially under a Gaza, Hamas dictatorship.
They're like the people in North Korea.
There are a lot of communists in North Korea,
but most of the people in North Korea are just prisoners of a totalitarian government.
Most of the people in Gaza are just prisoners of Hamas with control.
So you're saying you think it's possible to get rid of Hamas,
but to allow the Gazans to stay in Gaza.
Basically, that's what you're saying.
Oh, under one condition.
they don't they don't get a little Palestinian state there because Hamas would continue to control it
Egypt needs to take Gaza back and liquidate Hamas and control it as part of Egypt which it was until
1973 what's the moral problem with that what you are you writing are you writing an essay about this
that you already have I already have and I will again nobody have you really yeah when did you when did you write
that essay I don't remember this I wrote it on the
the cruise ship we were on and published it at the screen. I didn't, I honestly don't know.
I wasn't reading much back back back down about this kind of thing. I wrote a short piece and
I'm going to write more pieces. But again, we are being forced basically the is really far
right and the Arab left have us in a game of chicken. They're driving toward each other on the
highway. The game of chicken is one group has to get totally screwed over or the other group gets
totally screwed over. I am proposing a kind of compromise that would crush Hamas, would protect
Israel from terrorism, but would not entail ethnically cleansing more than a million people
because of how one election went in 2007. The term ethnic cleansing, I just want to be clear,
that's very different from genocide, correct?
Right. I didn't say the word genocide.
Right. So we're not talking about, we're not accusing the Jews of genocide, but we're accusing them.
I'm not accusing the Jews of anything. I'm talking about elements in the current Israeli government.
Well, I'm sorry. Yes, but I just want to make a distinction. When you say ethnic cleansing, I often associate that with genocide.
You're talking about something else. You're talking about moving people.
Moving people the way all the Greeks were driven out of Smyrna and Constantinople and Pontus and all the, and the Turks were driven out of
Greece, that was a big humanitarian catastrophe. It is bad to turn people into refugees unless
if you don't have to. And I'm saying we don't have to make all the Gossans into refugees,
but we don't have to let Israel be subject to disgusting, monstrous terror attacks by this
despicable genocidal organization, Hamas. Folks, have you gone to the website yet?
Metaxistalk.com. The banner to help our friends in Texas. This is very urgent. Metaxistalk.com. If you

John Zmirak is my guest. John, I want to talk to you about many things, but I want to,
before we go to Hillary Clinton and the Russia hoax and all of that, which is just developing
constantly.
I want to keep going
on
the Candice Owens Tucker stuff.
I find it all confusing
because Candice Owens
has been a real hero
in so many ways,
been very brave
on so many things.
She seems to have a penchant
for,
I don't even know.
I would say
things that sound
conspiratorial.
She seems very
much convinced, for example, that the First Lady of France is a man. And there is, I think it's very
important to say that that story is at least hilarious, whether it's true or false, the idea that
we are genuinely trying to determine whether the First Lady of France, Bridget McCrone, is a man,
is, I mean, it sounds, you know, it's like a Christopher Buckley novel or something.
It sounds loony but funny.
But right now, not only has she made this case endlessly to the point that she's being sued by the McRons,
but Tucker Carlson has agreed with her that, in fact, it is true.
Now, I have to say, based on the appearance of Bridget McCron's legs, I don't believe Bridget McRohn can be a man.
That is my best effort at figuring this out.
This is what happens when you're a grifter desperate for clicks.
And I think that's what Candace Owen has turned into.
I think it's hilarious that this is a story, but it's hilarious.
in the sense like you're reading an
evil and one novel and the characters
just keep getting worse and worse and worse and worse.
But you know she really believes this.
This is not, she's not doing this
just to get clicks.
She earnestly believes this.
Do you think she doesn't believe this?
Do you think Tucker doesn't believe it?
I think they have turned off their critical intellects
in the desperate search for clicks,
for clicks and for engagement
and for getting an audience.
I think
the people of the New York Times may have convinced themselves that Trump was a Russian agent,
but they did so by turning off their critical intellects.
And that's how they were able to write all those worthless stories that won them a Pulitzer Prize
that should now get them the same disgrace as the New York Times got
when it denied the Ukrainian famine while it was happening.
What we're seeing is...
In the 1930s.
In the 1930s.
What we're seeing is the collapse.
of journalistic objectivity, the collapse of Western standards of rationality and detachment,
as everyone becomes hyperpartisan and grabs on to whatever facts suit their narrative and seem to
fit their worldview. And I think Tucker and Candice are doing the same thing with Israel.
They have an animus against Israel, especially against the neo-conservatives. And
And let me explain the animus, okay?
There is a certain type of person.
Let's not use any names.
Let's just say William Crystal.
There's a certain type of person who thinks that Israel should be a paleo-con, right-wing
nationalist state like Pat Buchanan would want.
Israel should be like that.
But the U.S. should have open borders and racial quotas and multiculturalism,
because Israel has the right to be a nation state, but the U.S. has to be a circus tent where everybody can show up and we can just have one giant freak show.
Lucky for my audience, we're out of time, but I'm dragging you over into hour two. We will continue this conversation in a moment. Stay tuned.
