Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Metaxus show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit legacy p.m. Investments.com. That's legacy p.m. Investments.com. Welcome to the Eric Metaxis show. Did you ever see the movie The Blob, starring Steve McQueen? The Blood Curdling Threat of The Blob. Well, way back when Eric had a small part in that film, but they had to cut his scene because the blob was supposed to eat them. But he kept spitting him out. Oh, the whole thing was just a disaster. Anyway, here's the guy who's not always that easy to digest. Eric the Texas! Hey there, folks. Welcome back. In case you didn't know, there's a film. It's called The Hill, and it's starring Dennis Quaid. I don't know what more you need to know.
Starting point is 00:01:02 It's starring Dennis Quaid. It's in 1,500 screens across the country. That's a lot. We have the director of this film, of the Hill, with us, Jeff Chalendano. Did I pronounce it close? Celentano. Celentano. Hey, Chalentano. You grew up in New Jersey, correct? I did.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Okay. So that's why you got a name like Chelendano. You know, that's just, it's an Italian name. But you... I want to ask you, this is a film about... You grew up in a small town in a small rural town in New Jersey. A lot of people don't know that those exist, but they certainly do if you know the state of New Jersey. But this is a film about someone who grew up in a rural town, small town in Texas.
Starting point is 00:01:49 And his name is Ricky Hill. That's why the film is called The Hill. And again, it's starring Dennis Quaid as the father of this athlete, Ricky Hill. But I just kind of ask you right out of the gate, Jeff, how did you find your way to directing this story? because this is a story that I had not heard until I heard about this film. Yeah. Well, none of us heard about this story. Ricky was an obscure guy who had never really told many people about his story.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Dennis Quaid, when I hired him to play Ricky's father, said, I just read the script. Is this true? Did this kid really do this? This is like a miracle. I said, yeah, he did The Impossible. And he said, how come I've never heard of this story? And I said, well, there's so many stories out there nobody's ever heard of. And so that's why we're telling this one.
Starting point is 00:02:34 It needs to be on the big screen. So my brother was in a hotel room, sorry, in a hotel lobby, and he was talking to somebody in a meeting, and he overheard Ricky next to him, the real Ricky Hill, talking about his life story and how he couldn't find a director that he liked. He had been through like 40 directors, and he never felt they had the right honesty and heart for the film. And my brother leaned over and said, excuse me, sir, once he was off the phone, this is my brother on the phone. He's your director. Talk to him. And Ricky was like, my brother's very aggressive. and Ricky talked to me and we just bonded and he said, you have to read my story.
Starting point is 00:03:10 I'm going to send you the script tonight. I read the script. I cried my eyes out through the whole thing. I was so touched that I've said this so many times, but it's the same every time. It got in my heart and it's not left even today that I had to tell this story. It was like I was on a mission.
Starting point is 00:03:26 I just never gave up. And so that's how it ended up getting made. But it took 17 years to get it funded. I had been funded four times. The money fell through every time. And the last time it fell through. It was six years ago. Dennis had already been hired.
Starting point is 00:03:41 And I thought we were going to lose Dennis. And he called me and said, listen, I love this story. It's the best story I've read in 20 years. I'm on for life. As long as you can find a time span on my schedule, I will do the film. Well, now, for people who are, you know, tuning in and saying, what is the story? Tell us what is the story. Because the story is about a little boy, eight years old.
Starting point is 00:04:05 who was very poor. His father decided to be a minister and a preacher and travel around the country. And they got kicked out of a couple churches because his father was very adamant about no smoking in the church and treating the church badly. Ricky would be very poor and go out on a railroad track and hit stones all day. But he wore egg braces because he was crippled from the hip down. So he just got so good at hitting rocks because he was so poor. He had nothing else to do. He hit 2,000 rocks a day.
Starting point is 00:04:33 And of course, that transferred into baseball. He wanted to play baseball. He was addicted to it. And his father would not allow him to play baseball. He was like, you're going to be a preacher? Because when Ricky was eight, he started preaching to the family, imitating his father. And he got so good at it that he could recite the Bible back to front.
Starting point is 00:04:51 And this is not a faith movie, but it's got so much faith in it because of the father. It just translates into that. So Ricky, behind his dad's back, ended up becoming an all-star player in high school. And right when the scouts were about to look at him, they came to the stadium to look at him, he trips over a sprinkler head and breaks his ankle. Now, wait a minute. This is unbelievable. I just want to go back.
Starting point is 00:05:13 So here you have a kid wearing braces who knows he can hit a ball. How does he play baseball with leg braces? So at about nine years old, he was in a sandlot game, and they were calling him Robot Boy and making fun of him. So he knocked his brace off with his bat, and he drug it across the field. And then the other one he took off, and he could actually walk because he had worn them for so many years. And his father couldn't believe it because they wanted him to stay in the braces.
Starting point is 00:05:42 You know how parents are. They're very worried, you know. So he ended up, his dad finally gave in and let him not have the braces on. So he started to learn how to run. And he got really good at it. But he could run. He could play just like a normal kid. He became an all-star player.
Starting point is 00:05:57 But what happened when I'm about to tell you is the story. So he breaks his ankle. he goes to the hospital the doctors look at him examine him for the broken leg and they find out that he has degenerative spinal disease he has discs missing in his back and he has
Starting point is 00:06:15 the spine of a 70 year old man how old is he at this point 17 and the tryouts were coming in two months so he didn't have money to operate on the ankle to get him in shape for the event you know for the tryouts so a man
Starting point is 00:06:31 who like shepherd his life played by Randy Houser, the country singer, wrote a check and paid for his surgery, and the rest of the money they raised in the town. And Ricky got the surgery and then cut his cast off because he still wasn't ready for tryouts. And when you see the end, what he did, it's a miracle, like what he achieved. I mean, he got cut at the tryouts, and he still came back and went up to the famous scout Red Murford, discovered Nolan Ryan, and was crying. And he said, you have to give me a chance, sir. I'm hitting balls out of the park, one after the other.
Starting point is 00:07:04 I think I hit 16 home runs, and you won't even see me because of my bad leg. So what was his career then? So because I'm not clear on that. So he ends up getting a career. Well, I'm trying to tell you a little bit at the end of the movie, but he does get signed to the Montreal Expos for five seasons, and he played on farm teams because the way he ran and because he became a designated hitter, he wore the Montreal Expo's jersey.
Starting point is 00:07:31 And he played pro baseball, but it wasn't major league. So the story really is what he achieved up to that point. And after five seasons, they discovered his degenerative spinal disease. He hit it from everybody. Because back then we didn't have computers and we couldn't internet. We couldn't follow every little detail, you know. And so what decade are we talking about? 1972 was the time when he got signed.
Starting point is 00:07:54 But he started out as a kid in 60. So it goes from 1960 to 72. or yeah, 60 to 75, sorry. So this is obviously an inspiring story. So anybody who wants a family film that's inspiring and happens to be true, it's amazing. I'm also amazed to hear how you got to direct this film. You mean to tell me that Ricky Hill knew that this needed to be a film? I mean, I find that part interesting, that he knew that he's working for years to get his story told
Starting point is 00:08:26 because he knew that it was inspiring and that somebody needed to tell it. Yeah, at first he didn't want to tell it. the story. His brother wrote the story 50 pages and said, read it to the family, and Ricky didn't want anything to do with it because his dad had just died two years after his career was over. And then his mother died not long after that. So he didn't want the story really to be told. It was when we screen the movie now, most of the screenings, Ricky just breaks down every time and I have to console him. It's just he's seeing his whole life flash before his eyes and he wasn't ready for that. So he was not really super strong about getting his story told.
Starting point is 00:09:02 He had to shepherd it around with people telling him, you've got to tell your story, Ricky. And I'll tell you a great thing. He told me that only until a week ago, he never knew why his career was cut, why God took his special ability away that he had to play in baseball. He said when the first baseball came at him because he hit so many rocks, it looked like a beach ball. It was so big. He could just hit the balls straight out of the park. And I researched all this. I have it all documented.
Starting point is 00:09:31 It's all true. And so he said that he was so, he lost his faith. He was so upset. He never knew why his whole life, why this was taken away. And he just realized it last week. When we screened it for some people and it said they changed their lives and their kids now know what they want to do in life. He said the whole reason that's happened to me, I was put on earth to tell this story to give it back to other people. Folks, I think you know what you need to do. If this film got made, now you need to see it. It is all around the country. Jeff Chalendana, congratulations. The film is The Hill. Check it out.

Starting point is 00:12:03 First it, sakes alive. Looks like we've got us a convoy. Folks, welcome back. I have the privilege right now of speaking to a man who claims to have been to outer space. I've checked into it. It's true. He is my guest right now. his name is Jose Hernandez.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Jose, welcome to this program. Thank you very much. Eric, happy to be here with you and to all your listeners and viewers. Listen, Jose, I got to be honest with you. A lot of people send me a lot of films to watch. And I get a little cynical because not that many films are that wonderful. The film that tells a story of your life, it's called A Million Miles Away from my audience,
Starting point is 00:12:51 starring Michael Pena, who plays you in the film. It is a fabulous, fabulous film. I am thrilled to say what a wonderful film it is. It's the story of the American dream. There's just no words to describe it. But the idea that I get to talk to you, Jose Hernandez, this is your story. You wrote a book about it, and somebody brilliantly said,
Starting point is 00:13:18 hey, this should be a film. when, I mean, I just want to say, when did you know that you had to tell your story as a book before it became a film? Well, Eric, it happened after I left NASA. I started getting calls to speak at events and they started paying me for it. And so I quickly saw that I could become an effective motivational speaker. And then the folks after every conference said, you know, you should write a book because it could serve as a tool. Someone after a conference takes with them and they can use in their daily life. And that's a great idea.
Starting point is 00:14:04 So I wrote, I wrote reaching for the stars. And then I kept on the talking circuit. And then mothers would come and say, I love your book. But you need to write one so my kid can read it and they get inspired. So I wrote a children's book. children's. Now before we get too much farther, in case people are just tuning in, folks, the story we're talking about that is so amazing and is true. And my guest lived this story. It's a story of a migrant worker picking fruits and vegetables in the fields from Mexico,
Starting point is 00:14:40 having a dream of going into outer space and of realizing that dream. It is such, I mean, anybody familiar with your story, Jose, knows this is an amazing story. This is the kind of thing you'd make up except this is real. This is real. You live this story. So it is no wonder that when you tell your story, people are blown away. They're motivated. The thing, if this guy can do it, wow, what an unbelievable rags to riches kind of story that you lived.
Starting point is 00:15:13 And you're not an old person. So, I mean, you did this fairly recently. lifetime. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. And that's what we're trying to do is create that effect of empowerment that they say. And I always tell people, it doesn't matter where you started from. It's where you head to and where you point yourself to. And through hard work and perseverance, if you really want to get there, you'll get there. The reason, one of the, I love so much about the film and people who know me know, I don't rave a lot about films unless they're really great films. This is a great film. I was surprised at what a wonderful film was. The acting is
Starting point is 00:15:53 fantastic. The direction is fantastic. It is so well done. It's called a million miles away. And again, it's starring Michael Pena. I know he's been in other things. I hadn't seen him in anything else because I don't watch too many contemporary movies, but he does an amazing job. And so just tell the story a little bit because my audience, it's almost unbelievable where you came from. Talk about where you came When did you get this idea that you wanted to literally, you know, reach for the stars? Well, my parents come from Central Mexico and we were migrant farm workers. We would go to three different places in California, starting southern, central, northern for nine months and then go back to Mexico. It wasn't until a second grade teacher tells my parents, you guys need to stay in one place.
Starting point is 00:16:37 So your kids have a good shot at an education. And then when I was in the fifth grade, 10 years old, I saw the last Apollo mission. and I saw Gene Cernard walking on the moon on a black and white TV and I said, that's what I want to be. And that's when my dad, I told my dad that same evening, this man only has a third grade education. But he had the wisdom to sit me down, give me a five ingredient recipe. He said, define your purpose in life, recognize how far you are, draw yourself a roadmap, prepare yourself according to the challenge, and develop a work ethic second to none. I added six ingredient, which is perseverance, because I'll tell you, I applied to NASA and got
Starting point is 00:17:18 rejected not once, not twice, not three, but 11 times. It wasn't until the 12th time that I finally got invited to be part of the 19th class of U.S. NASA astronauts. It's all, your story is almost unbelievable, but I know it's true. The film is a million miles away. It's available on Amazon Prime video. And one of the things I loved about the film, I mean, it kind of has all the elements of a wonderful film. It's very funny. I mean, some of the stuff about the Mexican culture, I mean, it was portrayed so brilliantly and hilariously and movingly the family stuff that goes on. Talk about your family. Because when you say your father is a migrant worker who nonetheless gives his kid this recipe, you know, you don't expect migrant workers
Starting point is 00:18:10 to have that kind of wisdom that would launch you, in this case literally, you know, into space. It's extraordinary that your father, that this humble man had this incredible wisdom. It's very beautiful and it's beautiful how the family is part of the story, how your wife was part of the story. Talk a little bit about that. Yes. Well, like I said, you know, my father's wise beyond his education, his third grade elementary education. My mother also was the, we called her the education enforcer because each time we came home from school, she would entice us to sit down in the kitchen table. We were hungry,
Starting point is 00:18:49 so she would feed us a snack. But then she wouldn't let us get up until we did our homework. So she helped us develop the great study habits we needed for high school and college. And then, of course my wife, who I was ready to throw in the towel after six rejections, that she asked me that profound yet simple question, what do they have that you don't have? And that's when I saw I needed to become a pilot, needed to become scuba diverated, I needed to learn a third language. So I went to Russia on this project for the Department of State. And that's how I made myself more attractive to NASA and eventually got selected. Well, what year were you selected by NASA?
Starting point is 00:19:34 It was in 2004. I was 42 years old when I got selected. And it was in 2009 when I went up as the flight engineer to, as part of the second to last mission to finish construction of the International Space Station aboard Space Shuttle Discovery. Yeah, it's it's such an amazing story. I am the son of immigrants We're around the same age And you know that work ethic That they push their kids
Starting point is 00:20:05 And that's love of course That's love But the way your family sacrificed for you It's very moving I want to say about the film I was very moved by this film And I was moved that it's a story of family
Starting point is 00:20:23 It's a story of the American dream and, as I said, it's brilliantly acted and directed. These things always don't go together. There's a lot of heartwarming films that are not that beautifully acted or directed. This is extraordinarily well done. How did you, when did you know that this story might become a film? Because it seems Taylor made to be a film. So you wrote your book.
Starting point is 00:20:48 At what point did somebody approach you or how did that work out? Yes. I had been approached several times beforehand. to sign my life rights. And I was smart enough to not tie myself to the hip of a producer that perhaps wasn't established. And I waited until an established film house
Starting point is 00:21:09 approached me. And this was select films. Select films had a pedigree. They had done a million-dollar arm, Secretariat, and McFarlane, USA, which are three inspirational type of films. and I said, these guys know how to make a film. And so then I quickly signed on with them,
Starting point is 00:21:31 and we went to the studios. And thank God that, you know, there were several studios interested. And finally, we were a prime video and got the project done. Well, the director is Alejandra Marquez Abea. Did I get there right? Abella. Abea.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Beautiful job. She did a great job. You can have a great story that's not well executed. It's brilliantly executed. The actors do an amazing job. Yes, they do. And again, I don't say that kind of stuff lightly. So we're going to go to a break and we'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Folks, I'm talking to a man who went to outer space. His name is Jose Hernandez. And we have the privilege of speaking with him on the other side of the break. Don't go away. Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain. I'm often asked that question just the other night. I was asked that question. Well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal.
Starting point is 00:22:55 That's right, designed to heal. And I agree with them. And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients. And each one of them helps your body deal with inflammation. Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway. That's the point. So approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such wonderful relief.

Starting point is 00:24:38 That's legacy PM investments.com. Folks, welcome back to The Air from Taxes Show. I'm talking to Jose Hernandez, who is a man who has been to outer space, literally. He's the subject of a film a million miles away. He is not in the film, but it is the story of his life. You must really have a sense, Jose, that God is using you to inspire people. That's a beautiful feeling. that God is using the story of your life to inspire others.
Starting point is 00:25:20 And I imagine as you go and speak about this, that you can see that look in people's eyes. Absolutely. I think that's the most satisfying part of telling my story is that you see how motivated folks are after listening to me. They approach me and they come and they talk to me. And you can just feel it. And for me to be able to provide that, be a role model,
Starting point is 00:25:46 give them the tools that recipe my father gave me and adding perseverance that they walk away and they say we we got something here we got something out of it and they would they tell me a lot of times my goals were here after listening to you my goals are up here now I'm going to go shoot higher and so that's what they do and it's an amazing thing because you know anybody who knows the story of NASA they're not not a lot of people go into outer space this is not something thing, you know, it's easier to get into the NFL or to the NBA. I mean, there's a lot more opportunities. Going to outer space, not many people in the history of the world have been able to go
Starting point is 00:26:28 into our space. So just being part of NASA is a big deal, huge deal, but then getting chosen to go out of the atmosphere of the earth. I mean, I don't know, you know, I've only spoken to two other people. people who have done that besides yourself, both of them walked on the moon. But what was that like for you, that moment of being strapped in this rocket and going into outer space, the kind of thing that most people just dream about? Well, it certainly is an exclusive club because it's a little over 500 out of 7 billion people
Starting point is 00:27:07 that have the privilege of seeing our Earth from outer space. And I'll tell you, when you strapped yourself on that rocket, it's all the way. only an eight and a half minute trip. You go from zero to 17,500 miles an hour in eight and a half minutes. I mean, it's the best ride to Disneyland can ever hope for. And it feels as if little by little, three people put that way exactly like you do, put their weight on your body. At eight and a half, all three people are on you. So you feel a lot of pressure against your body. It's even hard to breathe. You're kind of hyperventilating. And then finally you reach Miko, main engine cutoff at eight and a half minutes. That big 500 pound gorilla disappears. And now
Starting point is 00:27:55 you're in space. I mean, it's the best ride you can ever hope for. So technically, speaking as a layman, as a non-astronaut, technically, when is one officially in outer space? In other words, when is it considered that you have passed through Earth's atmosphere? Because Earth's atmosphere is not like a like a rubber membrane. I mean, obviously there's some transition. When, how far do you have to be above the surface of the earth before it's officially outer space? There's a line, an imaginary line, they call the Carmen line, and I believe it's 70 miles above Earth. Once you cross that 70 mile threshold, you're officially in space and you're officially considered an astronaut. This is why you get a lot of these suborbital commercial
Starting point is 00:28:48 flights that go up for 15 minutes and come back down. They cross that threshold and they're official astronauts. They're only up there for two minutes, but they're astronauts because they cross that line and then they come back home. So it's a 70 mile radius from the Earth. So that's, once you've done that, you've penetrated outer space. How much farther did you? you go? Where were you orbiting up there? We were orbiting about 280 miles above ground and circumnavigating the earth once every 90 minutes in a continuous fashion. So I went my 14-day mission to the International Space Station. I went around the world 217 times 5.4 million miles were logged on that mission. I wish we had an agreement with a frequent flyer with an air.
Starting point is 00:29:41 airline because I would have had a lot of miles. Leaveable frequent fly. I think I just hit a million on Delta and I'm proud of myself. But that was only at seven miles above the surface of the planet, not quite outer space. Your story is amazing and beautiful. I want to say again, I want to encourage people. This is a family film. It's a family.
Starting point is 00:30:05 It's pro-family. It's pro-America. I mean, the American to see you go from, from being a migrant worker and that whole culture that you were in. And to go from that, through that, into being an engineer, and then your perseverance in applying over and over and over to NASA, and getting rejected over and over. It's the kind of thing, again, people would make it up,
Starting point is 00:30:29 except you lived it. And to see what you went through in that film, you must be very proud that the film, that the film is as well made as it is. Yes, yes. And the nice part of it is that I was associated with the making in the film, all from the writing of the script all the way to when the director hit the final cut. And they consulted with me.
Starting point is 00:31:01 You know, sometimes they use some of my input. Sometimes they didn't. It's the business that they got to make sure they tell a story, a whole life story in two hours. So they have to take a little bit of liberty and make some hard judgment calls. But for the most part, it's a great movie. I'm very proud of it.

You know that when I find the solution to a problem, I get very excited. If you've been listening to this program for a while, you know that I talk about people of faith being active in their communities, in how they spend their money, in how they vote in every way. And one of the things that got me really excited when I discovered Robert Netsley, he's with Inspire Investing,
Starting point is 00:34:23 he is helping people do something which I guess we can talk about it is even better than just spending your money in good places and not spending your money in bad places. But where is your money invested? Is it invested in companies that share your values? is your money invested in companies that are working against your values. And I would say against God's values. And so we bring him on now. Robert Nestle, welcome back. It's a pleasure to be here, Eric, as always.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Thanks for having me. It's, I get excited to time I talk to you just because there's a solution, you know, because this is the kind of thing that I would want to dream up. I would say, can't somebody figure out a way when we talk about all the money that's out there. People of faith in America. What's that? No, I'm, it wasn't saying anything. Yeah. People, people, people of faith in America have a lot of money. It's not just they spend a lot of money, but they have a lot of money invested and retirement funds, whatever. And a lot of that, as I've learned in talking to you, is with companies that are really bad, that are really woke,
Starting point is 00:35:42 that are working against everything we believe in. So then the question is, how do I figure that out? How do I get my money out of those places? And you have come up with a solution, and I should tell people, I'll repeat it again and again, inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. That's the website. Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric.
Starting point is 00:36:05 If people go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric, Robert Nessley, what will they find there? How have you solved this problem? Well, yeah, they'll find an offer that our staff has done for, I don't know how many, countless of thousands of investors around the country, around the world. And we're making a special offer here for your listeners as to just help you understand what you own. It's the first step. And so my personal story, I was working at one of the big four Wall Street Investment Bank and in their investment department. And long story short, just realized one day,
Starting point is 00:36:42 here I am president of our local pro-life pregnancy center, and I own three stocks of companies manufacturing abortion drugs. So every time the young lady goes across the street to plant parent and it has an abortion, I just made money on that transaction, right? I literally profited from that transaction. And then you go down the laundry list of all sorts of other things that are going on in the portfolio, LGBT activism, human trafficking, et cetera. And I'm investing in these businesses.
Starting point is 00:37:05 I'm profiting from these businesses. And likely so are you, right? And I'm not here to be your moral police. That's not my position. But what we want to do is help people understand what it is that they're putting their money into. It's not just a mutual fund ticker symbol with some dollars attached. There are real companies doing real things, some of which are incredibly evil and immoral. And it would turn your stomach if you realized what the money is that they're putting into your pocket and what you're helping to fund.
Starting point is 00:37:34 And basically, so this report will show you exactly down at the nitty gritty of on this date, this company, you gave this much money to plan parenthood, let's say, or what have you. so that you can then be informed and then make informed decisions about how you want to invest your money, which we believe is God's money in a way that, you know, honors him, helps society thrive, stops undermining your, you know, deeply held values. The list goes on. So that's, that's in a nutshell, what we do with Inspire. And this is, I mean, this is God's mandate, is this commandment to love the Lord your God
Starting point is 00:38:06 with all your heart, soul, mind, strength. And the idea is that if you kind of act like, well, that doesn't matter. matter. Everything matters. And it's only inertia, which is, you know, the devil owns inertia. When you don't do anything, the devil wins and his values win. So here is an opportunity, folks, for you to take your money out of these companies or to even know where your money is invested. What is your money, which you're responsible for? It's God's money. Who's it helping? What are you invested? So if you go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric, I'll say it again, Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric, you can get a report. You can learn. This is free. Obviously, Robert, this is free.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Right. Yeah, complimentary, totally complimentary. We're passionate about spreading a movement. There are millions of Christians and others around the world who are moving their money by the billions of dollars out of the, you know, the woke investment firms that are doing everything they can. to, frankly, ruin our cherished ways of life, you know, in many ways. And just putting into investments that are, you know, just as equally wise and financially viable and everything else, they just happen to be in companies that are just doing their job, you know, if they're making shoes, they're making shoes, not sponsoring abortion legislation or what have you. So, yeah, totally free.
Starting point is 00:39:41 and man, I want to stress the size of a movement, too. There is a movement of people. You're not alone. This is kind of ringing true. Like, oh, my gosh, I wonder what I should do. But by God's grace, we've been one of the fastest growing investment firms in the nation. In the top three fastest growing investment firms in the nation for the past number of years, we're managing over $2.3 billion.
Starting point is 00:40:02 And we're not the only firm out here, right? We have colleagues that are working labor alongside. This is a movement. And you get to be a part of that. If you go to Aspiredbiter.com slash Eric, figure out how easy it is to just be intentional instead of conforming, you know, to Wall Street's, you know, Wall Street's recommendations for your life, which, you know, might not be in your best interest.
Starting point is 00:40:23 So please consider that. Ladies and gentlemen, look, this is game-changing stuff. I want to be really clear. This is game-changing stuff. If everybody listening to this program would do this and you would take your money out of the funds, that are doing evil things, it is a game changer in America, because not only are you defunding these companies from doing bad things, but you're giving companies an incentive to do the right thing. You're saying, you know what, we better be careful. We shouldn't give our money to plan parenthood
Starting point is 00:40:57 or to whatever evil things are doing because, you know what, there's going to be pushback. We're going to lose people. People aren't going to invest in us. So I'm asking you to go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. It is free, folks. It is free. Please do this. Resist the inertia. Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric, inspireadvisors.com slash Eric.
Starting point is 00:41:23 Check it out. Folks, welcome back. I'm talking to Robert Netsley right now, who is with Inspire Investing. Robert, I can't help but get excited about. what you've created, an opportunity for people to find out if their money is funding wicked things, if they have money in a 401k or a retirement fund, whatever it is, that is invested in companies that are doing evil things, that is promoting pornography, promoting abortion, promoting any number of things or ideologies with your money, folks.
Starting point is 00:42:23 So Robert Nestle has created something where you can get a free report that tells you where you're money is and they will help you get your money into companies that are doing good things. So you have to go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. You get a free report. But this is something I, you know, Robert, I guess it just gives me hope that it's possible to turn things around in America. Because when I think of how much money people have invested out there, if they would understand what's going on and shift that money to good stuff, it's just huge. It's just absolutely monstrous. It's enormous. It's enormous. And we are seeing
Starting point is 00:43:05 fruit from that labor. It's remarkable. It doesn't have to even be trillions of dollars to change things. I've been on the phone, you know, in recent weeks, you know, with investor relations and CFOs and whatnot. We regularly engage with companies that we invest in or are like to invest in or kind of just speaking biblical truth, the corporate power. And, you know, one of the things we here is often that, number one, these people have never heard, they tell us they've never heard from a faith-based investor before. They've been doing their job for 20, 30 years. You know, executive major organizations never heard from a faith-based investor. So number one, they need to hear our voice. Number two, they're thankful to hear it. Even in some of these
Starting point is 00:43:46 sort of, you know, woke businesses you think that this don't care, there are people in those businesses of influence that actually do care about what we have to say and oftentimes have enough influence to change things. So, for instance, Costco stopped giving money to gay pride parades. Chevron stopped giving money to Planned Parenthood. There's a laundry list of other organizations that can change things. That is unbelievable. Robert Nelson, that is unbelievable. It is so wonderful. I want to tell people, folks, what you do and don't do, you can change the world if you take an interest in this. When I hear that a company like Costco would stop giving money to something like that, are Chevron. These are huge, huge companies. And you shop there, your money may be invested there.
Starting point is 00:44:32 When we get involved in these things, we can change the world. So I want to say the action point is go to invest, I'm sorry, inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. You'll get a free report that will help you figure this out. And I know, Robert, that you guys. will help people if they want to transition to invest in companies that believe in their values. But this is a gigantic thing that we have, I mean, it's to me scandalous when we have power and we don't use that power. It's like when I say, I'm not going to vote. I'm not going to do this.
Starting point is 00:45:14 I'm not going to do that. When you don't do those things, people who don't share your values, who share opposite, who have opposite values, they're going to prevail. So I just want to say to you, Robert, thank you for taking this on because it is game-changing. Like you said, it's a movement. The more people that do this, it's an amazing thing when we think of the money that is out there that many people of faith with traditional values have invested in woke companies. Ladies and gentlemen, you've got to do something about it.
Starting point is 00:45:51 You've just got to do something about it. This is like a mandate that we've got to live our faith out in every sphere and where your money is. That's a big deal. So please go to InspireAdvisors.com slash Eric. This is a free report. Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. Robert Natsley, thank you. Pleasure.
Starting point is 00:46:13 Thank you, Eric.
