Welcome to the Eric Mataxis show. Did you ever see the movie The Blob starring Steve McQueen?
The blood-curdling threat of the blob.
Well, way back when Eric had a small part in that film, but they had to cut his scene because the blob was
supposed to eat them. But he kept spitting him up.
Oh, the whole thing was just a disaster.
Anyway, here's the guy who's not always that easy to digest.
Eric the Texas!
Hey, folks.
Today is my birthday, and I didn't want to say that on the air,
but I guess I just did.
So I apologize.
I take it back.
Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.
Of course it is.
I wanted to say that,
It's my birthday for a few reasons, actually.
First of all, I thank God for every day that I get to serve him in his purposes, in my generation.
And anybody out there who says, like, I'm this age, but I wish I were that age, that's not God's will.
God's will is for you to be the age you are today.
It is his will.
So don't be a fool.
Yeah, in the natural we say, I wish, I wish, I wish.
That's garbage.
God's will is that you be as old as you are today.
Thank him for it and ask him to use you because he has you here now for his purposes.
Speaking of which, happy birthday to my dad.
My dad is today 96 years old.
I thank God for him.
The idea that I was born on his birthday,
I guess I was born on his 70th birthday.
If you do the math, it's kind of amazing.
My mom, by the way, who's, of course, younger,
she had a birthday three days ago.
So I say happy birthday to her as well.
Part of the reason.
Now, let me just warn you, in both hours today,
at least I believe it's both hours,
I have as my guest here in the studio,
none other than Carrie Lake.
some of you know who she is.
If you don't, you're in for a special treat
because there's a tiny handful of people in this nation
who give me hope.
Carrie Lake is one of those very few people,
public figures that give me hope that God's hand is on this nation
and that we are in a battle
and that if Providence wills it,
as George Washington used to say, Providence capital P, he meant to say, Jesus.
Then we can win the battle, and it's up to us to fight the battle and to give it to God.
So part of what I wanted to say is that we are in a spiritual battle.
It's why I wanted to just take this moment before I bring on my guest today, my very special guest, Carrie Lake,
just to say that we're in a battle and I'm in a battle, and some of you are aware of that.
and I want to say that it's a spiritual battle for the soul of this nation.
None of us has ever lived through anything like this.
And I want to be clear in saying that what we're going through is unprecedented.
These are not just tough times.
No, we've been through tough times before.
This is an unprecedented thing.
This is an existential crisis for the soul of the nation.
Now you say, well, we've had existential crises before.
That's correct in 1776 during the Revolution.
that was an existential crisis.
Will we exist?
And by the grace of God alone,
using a number of people, as God always does.
But it was through his grace that we survived that.
We became a nation.
The Civil War was similarly an existential crisis
where over 700,000 men,
not men and women, basically men, died,
bled and died in that battle. And by the grace of God, we stayed a union. We stayed America.
And Lincoln, I guess in his second inaugural, talked about a new birth of freedom. I don't think we've had that new birth of freedom yet.
I think because of the way things went after his murder, we know that the Democratic Party,
and this is simply historical fact,
kind of caused slavery to continue in a different fashion
under the Jim Crow laws.
And it took us a long, long, long time in this nation
before, again, by God's grace,
we had the civil rights movement led by Christians,
by fire-breathing, born-again, evangelical Christians.
That came out of the churches, the civil rights movement,
just as the abolition movement to end slavery,
we came out of the churches.
In any event, here we are at a different kind of existential crisis,
because it's not just about America, but it's about the whole world.
We've become the Bellwether Nation.
We've become what Lincoln called God's almost chosen people,
whom He has, God has deputized to be the voice of liberty for the whole world.
and the globalist, atheists, Marxists, cultural elites are at war, using China, using, unfortunately, our own Democratic Party and the pseudo-administration currently in power, warring against America in the same way that the enemies of God war against Israel and America, because they're warring against God.
And so we're in a crisis, an existential crisis, and it's a spiritual battle.
And I want to say that on my birthday today, that I'm in the middle of that battle.
But because of your prayers, many of you who actually pray for me, I meet you on the road and you say that,
you can't begin to know what that means to me because I know that it's a spiritual battle.
And I know that it's only by God's grace and your prayers that I get to do what I do.
I don't have some illusion that I'm doing any of this on my own.
I know that it's God or it's nothing.
So I want to be real clear about that.
And when I say it's a battle, it is a spiritual battle.
I don't share that very much on this program,
but it's a real spiritual battle.
I feel the warfare a lot.
And so your prayers are requested, he said, using the passive tense.
I want to say thank you for praying.
we can use your support in other ways.
You can support this program.
In many ways, you know that my friend Mike Lindell, who introduced me to my upcoming guest, Carrie Lake, he's a sponsor of the program.
If you want to help this program, if you want to help the country, go to mypillow.com, go to my store.com.
Use the code, Eric, when you go there, please, so that.
the revenue share we have with Mike at mystore.com and MyPillow.com accrues to this program.
We need the help.
I say, I'm not ashamed to say that we do need the help.
And I'm involved in many projects that I really haven't shared much about on the air, if at all.
But we are involved in all kinds of stuff.
And we need financial help in doing what we're doing now and in doing all of those projects.
If you're interested, I have a give send go page.
You can go to give send go.com slash Eric.
Give send go.com slash Eric.
And I just want to say again how grateful I am to those of you who pray, who've helped us out.
We've got a lot of friends of this program.
Later this week, we've got Victoria Jackson, my sweet.
sweet friend, Victoria. We've got John Zmirak. Of course, what would a week be on this program
without John Zmirak? We've got other special guests, but today in both hours, I think we've got
Carrie Lake to do an in-depth, have an in-depth conversation because she is in the middle of the
battle for the soul of the country. I should mention also, go to salem now.com. There's a film there
nefarious. Some of you know, Steve Days, whom we've had on the program, who's another hero,
He wrote the book that became the film Nefarious.
It's screw tape letters meets Silence of the Lambs.
It gets at what I've been talking about, the spiritual reality, the spiritual side of things,
which is the reality behind the political and the cultural crises in which we find ourselves.
So I recommend to you Nefarious at SalemNow.com.
So finally, I asked for your support, whether.
it's financial or through your prayers. I say that just because I mean it when I say we are in this
together. I have no illusions to think about any of this as about my career or anything like that.
God has humbled me enough so that I understand what I'm doing here. And we're doing it together.
And I want to say, God bless you and thank you. I'll be right back with my guest.

Hey, folks. Remember I told you that today was a special day.
For example, it might be my birthday.
For example, well, it's also the day that a new book comes out by Carrie Lake.
Today, the book is titled Unafraid, and we tried to get Carrie Lake in studio.
We all know she's very busy, and we succeeded.
Carrie Lake, welcome to the program.
It's so good to be here.
It is a joy to have you here.
I like you.
You're a good kid.
You're part of the good.
stuff that's happening and I was saying just a moment ago you're one of the tiny handful of people that
give me real hope for the nation yeah no pressure but I was really happy to see that you have written
this book because there are a lot of people out there that are not familiar with you you know the ones
who are familiar with you they're familiar with you they get it but there a lot of folks out there
who ain't and as a Yale English major I can say ain't anytime I want I have nothing to prove so
So let me ask you the, you know, this is like the softball question.
What is this book?
What is this book about?
Is this your life?
Someone said, is it a memoir?
I said a little bit, a little bit of a memoir, a little bit of a political suspense thriller,
a true crime novel because of the election, the crimes that happened around that.
Crimes?
What are you talking about?
It's kind of a mix.
Hey, listen.
It's also a little bit of a great book.
Bill Barr and Mike Pence have put us all at ease.
Nothing happened.
Look away.
Look away from the train wreck.
Look away.
Listen, this is one of the reasons you're somebody who gives me hope because you not only know that we have nightmare stuff happening in our elections where our elections are being stolen from We the People, but you're actually fighting and that's what happened to you.
So I want to talk about all of that stuff.
It's really a little bit of everything.
I mean, because I didn't want to just do a memoir.
This campaign of We the People in Arizona was so massive.
This movement was so incredible.
It never was about me.
I just happened to be the front, the face, right?
But it was me with millions of other people.
And it really spread across the country.
And it was we the people.
It was somebody who wants to give the government back to the people.
But that's the point is that the millions of people are looking for someone.
They're saying, is there anyone out there willing to, you know, speak up for us?
And you have been so brave and so bold in that.
Now, for people just to get the context on you, okay,
You only rather recently entered politics.
Right.
So that was, tell us a little bit about that,
but I want to talk about your life up to that point.
I was a journalist for 30 years.
And usually when you're a journalist, you don't run for office.
You remain unbiased.
At least that's how I learned how to be a journalist back in the 90s
when I was learning to be a journalist.
You get both sides of the story.
If there's three sides, you give three sides,
and you keep your opinion out.
Yeah.
And during my 30 years as a broadcast journalist,
you know, I had the opportunity to interview presidents,
including President Trump, and President Obama.
And I had an amazing, amazing journalistic career.
But during COVID, I realized that it was impossible to get the truth out.
They were just, the corporate news media was not interested
in getting the truth out about COVID.
They were interested in pushing fear, division, isolation.
So that's when it really hit you.
I've been working my whole life. I'm the youngest of nine. I had to work from a very young age. I worked my way through college. I worked my way into this career. Really worked hard. And it was as if at the age of 52, I think I was at the time. I lifted my nose off the grindstone and looked around and I didn't even recognize this profession anymore.
Journalism had died. It was replaced with propaganda. That was 2020.
In 2020 during COVID, I just went, wow, there's no interest in getting medical doctors who have a problem with what's happened.
who have a difference of opinion.
There was no interest in that.
It was just the CDC line, the Fauci line.
And people were dying.
Our children were being masked.
We were having people lose jobs,
being forced to get a jab in their arm who didn't want it.
And then the election of 2020 happened.
And that was the final straw.
I said, I can't push this agenda.
It's not true.
It's half-truths, which are really dressed up lies.
And I'm not willing to lend my voice, my heart, my soul, and my reputation.
And the problem is I was making a lot of...
Herman, headline, she has a conscience.
It's kind of a big deal in this day and age when somebody has a conscience, because what you're talking about, none of this would be possible without the complicity of the media.
And I can't think who I was talking to about this yesterday.
I don't think we've aired it yet.
But the point is we all grew up in a world where you basically trusted the media.
Even when the media was slanted, liberal, or whatever, you just didn't think that they were working for the devil or Stalin or Adolf Hitler.
just thought, look, they have a different perspective, but something happened. And many of us
woke up. And because as bad as things had been, COVID and that year and that election,
it really took the breath away of millions of Americans. They just thought, this can't happen
in America. And there would be legitimate good information out there that went counter to what Fauci
and the guys were saying. And the media wouldn't pick up.
it up and I'm like, why are they not picking this up? This is legitimate, credible information.
There's an agenda being pushed by the media. And you have to look at who owns these
networks. What is their agenda? Who are they for? And I'll tell you what, they're not for
the American people. I believe that. They're not for the American people. Well, you happen to
be correct on that. I just want to, in case you were wondering, that is correct, ladies
and gentlemen. Thank you. I've been fact checked. But it's a big. Yes, you've just been
fact checked. But it's a big deal, Carrie, because the reason it becomes a big deal is because
so few have been willing to stick their necks out and say what many people are suspecting,
looking around. And I've tried to do that on this program and in other venues to help people
understand, no, no, no, you're not crazy. You're right to see what you see. You're seeing the
truth. And I want to help you corroborate that. I want to help you understand you're right.
When I walked away, first of all, it wasn't an easy thing to do because I'm going to be honest,
I made a lot of money. I made a seven,
figure contract. I was the number one news face in Arizona. And to walk away from that, thank
God, I have an amazing husband, Jeff. And he was feeling the angst I was having and covering this
COVID and covering this election and just the half-truths. And I came out of my office one night because
I was working from home. It was during COVID. They separated some at the studio, some at home.
And I said, I can't do this anymore. It's just wrong. It's immoral. When you know something is
wrong and you continue doing it, you become immoral.
But that's the point is it's immoral.
But you were willing to see that and to do something about that, which again, that's called leadership.
Thank you.
Well, I did pray to God.
I said, God, I'm really having a hard time with leaving the money behind.
I know that's wrong, but I'm having a hard time with like, are I going to regret this?
And just give me a sign if I'm making the right choice here.
And within a few minutes, I opened the Bible.
Just opened it like that.
Put my finger down.
First Timothy, chapter 6, verse 7.
and I even put it in the book, it means that much to me.
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can take nothing out.
And that was the sign I needed from God.
He's saying, what does the money matter, Carrie?
You don't take that with you.
What matters is what you do while you're here.
And what matters is how the meeting, when you meet me after you're gone, how that meeting goes.
You don't believe all that crazy stuff, do you?
What the Bible says?
I absolutely do.
Man, that's crazy.
No, it's so funny because, you know, a lot of people claim to be Christians, and I say this wherever I go, like if you say you believe in the God of the Bible, then you must actually believe and live it. And if you're not living it, it kind of shows you don't believe it. And so this period that we've all been through has been a test for many of us. And that's why I thank God for you, because many people have failed the test. It doesn't mean that you might not repent and get it right two years later or,
three years later. But when this stuff was going down, the unbelievable pressure, cultural pressure,
was shut up, keep doing your job. You don't want to lose your job, do you? And what you just said,
you know, you're going to trust God with your career, with your money, because this is real.
But it's amazing. I never in my life, I'm going to be honest, handed my life over to God 100%.
maybe 40%, maybe 50, maybe I leaned on it when things were rough, and then when I got back on track,
I was like, all right, I got this, you can sit back and relax, God, I'm in charge now.
And this is when I truly said, I'm handing my life where we do 100%, not 99, 100%.
I don't know what you have in store.
I'm happy with anything.
I'm happy going behind the scenes.
I don't crave the limelight.
I really don't.
After 30 years, I actually was looking forward to going behind the scenes and living a private life.
And God, when you throw your life into his hand,
He has something planned that is so much bigger than anything you could have.
I mean, the fact that I end up in politics,
helping to lead a movement of moms and dads and students and grandparents and, you know, regular Americans
and end up in the middle of the political world at this time, which is consequential politically,
I think we could say, right?
It's a miracle.
It's amazing.
And that's what happens when you just start listening to God.
Listen a little less to what you're thinking and a little more to what.
Well, I mean, you're really a, a, uh, a, uh, a, uh, a moment.
picture of what's been happening in this country.
There are tons of people who I think have had that experience
and are having that experience right now
where they were kind of there,
but the circumstances have forced us
to see what's going on and to choose
and to say, like, I can't be in the middle,
I can't kind of be in, I need to actually
take a stand because this is what is happening
is immoral, and if I don't do something,
I'm complicit in what is happening.
We'll be right back, folks.
We're talking to Carrie Lake
the brand new book today. It's called Unafraid. Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering
or eliminating pain. I'm often asked that question just the other night. I was asked that question.
Well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal.
That's right, designed to heal. And I agree with them. And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor
for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients. And each one of them helps
your body deal with inflammation. Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different
metabolic pathway. That's the point. So approaching from four different angles may be why so many
people find such wonderful relief. If you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain
from exercise or just getting older, you should order the three week quick start discounted to
only 1995 to see if it'll work for you. It has worked for about 70% of the half a million people
who've tried it and have ordered more on one of them.
Go to Relieffactor.com or call 800 for relief to find out about this offer.
Feel the difference.

Welcome back.
I'm talking to Carrie.
What's your last name?
Lake.
Lake.
Lake.
Carrie with a K.
This book, brand new, literally today, has a foreword by someone of whom I am very, very fond.
and it's not my wife, Suzanne, who's here with us in the studio because it's my birthday.
No.
Who wrote the foreword to your book?
President Donald Trump did.
Oh, he's very divisive.
I should have told you not to have him do that.
Oh, he's a very divisive figure.
No, seriously, I met, the only reason I met you was because I was at Mar-a-Lago for the premiere of 2000 Mules, the film, and Mike Lindell very graciously introduced.
Suzanne and me to you that day. And that's when you were on my radar and I've been following you
since then. So your relationship with President Trump is at the heart of what gives many of us
hope in the country, that there are a handful of people willing to call a spade a spade.
The election was stolen. Elections are being stolen by Democrats because they no longer have
the confidence of the American people and they don't care. They will cheat. They don't believe
And they don't have policy that the people want.
They don't have candidates that the people want.
I mean, John Federman, Joe Biden, Katie Hobbs, these are not serious people for the times.
They're not, I don't think they're intelligent enough actually to lead at this time.
And unfortunately, where you got a little bit of something wrong there, the elections in Maricopa County were run by Republicans, Rino Republicans.
And I wish I could sit here and say, it's all the Democrats.
But it is this uniparty.
It's a uniparty versus America first.
That's sadly what it's become.
And I was honored.
I asked President Trump to write the forward.
I didn't think he would have time and he graciously made time to do it.
You can hear his voice when you're reading it.
And I love this man as an American, as a mother, because he cares so much for this country.
And I think I'm giving people the courage to speak out and say, hey, I love President Trump too.
He's great.
For a long time, people were afraid to even say, I love him.
Like our president. President Trump is great. He's doing good things for us because they'd be canceled. They'd be ostracized. And I'm here to say, who cares about being canceled? Who cares if you're ostracized? We're about to lose our country. And we need to stand up behind the man, shoulder to shoulder with the man who's willing to risk everything to save our country. He's the only one right now for the time.
I mean, it's kind of funny because I've been in New Yorker most of my life. And I didn't used to like Trump. And in 2016,
The way that he was attacked, I'm always for the underdog, I thought, listen, this is, something's wrong here.
And that's when I gave him a second look.
And I went from disliking him to loving him.
It's got the right kind of enemies.
And I thought, well, I was going to say, that's what's so fascinating.
And there's been, as you know, a sifting that there are so many in the Republican Party who are worse than useless.
There are gutless, pseudo-moderate rhinos who couldn't care less any more than Joe Biden cares about we the people.
And so we're in this strange war right now.
And there are, you know, very few people like you willing to stick your neck out.
I mean, listen, we know that elections were stolen, but not many people were willing to do anybody willing to do what you have done to fight, to expose what happened in your.
election. Don't fight it. Just concede and run again. And I said, are you kidding? Concede and run again.
We ran the greatest campaign. The people did everything right. They got involved. They knocked doors.
They showed up and voted only to have their sacred vote trampled on. I'm not going to just walk away.
The people want me to fight this. Everywhere I go. In New York City, where we are right now,
I thought I would need security. I'd have people pour in their coffee in my face. Just the opposite.
Here in liberal New York City, the last time I was here, walking down,
the street and I had people stop and go, thank you for fighting. Oh my gosh, you're a fighter. I appreciate
what you're doing. This is in New York. The American people know what's up. If we don't have
honest elections, then we are enslaved by a system that we don't have control over. And our forefathers
died. They spilled blood to free us from the monarchy so that we could choose our representation.
You know this. You're singing my song, but it's such a joy to hear you say this.
In the chapter called The Red Pill Generation, I kind of joke that we're the, you've heard of people getting red pilled.
Like, what was your red pill moment?
Yeah.
I feel that I woke up during a red pill moment.
I was a child of the 70s and 80s.
Reagan was the president of my youth.
Right.
And he's the reason I registered as a Republican the day I turned 18.
And the movies, the culture was very patriotic.
And we were much.
For about 10 minutes.
Yeah.
Right?
And then it changed.
No, but I'm saying it's kind of.
interesting because it was just a moment and then it's sort of, you know. But I think having that and growing
up in the Midwest, I went to a very patriotic school. We sang patriotic songs before the school day
started. We did the Pledge of Allegiance. It was just a different time. And I'm worried about where
things are going with our kids. I think Red Pill Generation is a great place to start reading this book.
It's one of those books you can pick it up anywhere, but it does start with the prolog. And I will tell you, this is
not one of those books you need you need to get in 10 pages before you like. It starts with,
the prolog is called Crash Landing. And it was almost the end of me. This is a story of,
a true story of what happened on the campaign trail when we literally almost didn't make it
through a flight. We had to make a crash landing. And it starts with that. And it takes you
through some really amazing stories of what happened on the campaign trail, how I ended up
in politics being a kid growing up in Iowa to sitting across from,
President Trump in his tower, getting his endorsement, to now being friends with who I believe
is one of the most influential leaders of all time, of all time.
No, there's no question.
There's no question about it.

Welcome back talking to Carrie Lake.
Carrie Lake, your book is out today.
Today, it's unafraid.
And it's not one of those, like, you know, campaign biographies, like, you know,
written by Chris Christie that you don't want to read because a ghost writer wrote it.
This is very real and you're very real and I'm excited that you've written a book that,
you know, as a writer, I think books should be readable.
It's very readable.
No, I know.
And here's why.
I didn't realize this, but one of the questions people are asking me is, if you wrote a book,
you must be running for something.
And I may run for something.
I'm not going to deny that.
But that's not why I wrote this book.
I was asked to write the book by publishers who thought my story was interesting.
and I wrote it when I was not even thinking about running for anything again
because I had a fight to save our elections.
And so I wrote it from the heart.
I'm a writer of 30 years, you know, as a broadcast journalist,
and I wanted this to be an interesting story
where you could pick it up and start in any chapter
and it doesn't matter where you start.
I recommend starting from the beginning,
but I wanted to be an interesting book.
This is not written by a consultant.
This comes from the heart, story of how I got to where I am.
And it's also to encourage people to stay in this fight.
You only lose when you quit.
Well, you look, you know, the idea that this really didn't hit home for you until fairly recently is part of what makes it exciting for people.
Because I get excited when you hear that someone who didn't get it gets it and is all in.
Nobody's more all in than you are.
And it just thrills me.
And, of course, I secretly hope that you will be President Trump's vice presidential candidate.
Do you have any like Choctaw blood or African American in your back?
Anything like that that would, you know?
I'm just American.
I'm a little bit of everything.
And we probably do have a little bit of Native American in our family
because of where my grandparents are from in Wisconsin.
I know.
Yeah.
But I never, I'm just an American.
I'm a mixture of everything.
And I always consider.
I'm going to guess Chickasaw.
No, I honestly, you.
You're such a bright spot, you know, in the political future of the country.
And I want to talk about what happened to you in your race.
Let's talk about that because I, you know, expected you to win.
And technically, you did win.
What happened?
When did you understand what was going on?
And how did the traitor Republicans within your state work against,
you and we the people.
Well, the guys running the Maricopa County elections
were they also started a super PAC to raise money in the primary to stop me.
So the guys running our election.
First of all, I'm running against a woman who oversees the entirety of the elections.
She's the Secretary of State.
She never recused herself as my opponent.
And then the two guys running the Maricopa County elections ran a super PAC
raising tens of thousands of dollars to stop election denier candidates.
and we found out that all of their expenditures went toward one candidate, yours truly.
So this is the kind of corruption we're up against, not to mention what they did on election day,
rolling out broken machines, putting them in the Republican areas,
knowing that our people were showing up to vote in person.
And that's why I must push this out and say,
we've got to show you guys where the corruption is and then fix it.
And now they're suing me for speaking out about it.
The guys who helped rig the election are now suing me for point.
pointing out the corruption. This is just how sick the world is right now, but I'm not going to be afraid of that. I'm going to continue on, and we're going to get to the bottom of this, and the truth will eventually come out. And the whole book isn't all about the election, but I do like the chapter toward the end where I go back to election day. Some people said, why didn't you do more to prevent this? Well, how do you prevent this when they were going to intentionally print the wrong ballot out on election day? They printed the wrong ballot out on election day, so the machines would jam. How do you prevent that?
We did a lot. We got observers in there. We had lawyers on the scene. We had so many people around watching and working the polls that we were able to document what they were doing. And that then helped in our case. And this last chapter was a really hard one to write because it took me back to election. They started with a great wake-up call from President Trump, wishing me luck for the day. And then immediately after I hung up with him, I looked at my phone. I had 60 text messages, videos of long lines.
of election workers saying, I'm sorry, the machines don't work, the equipment isn't working here.
And right then, my heart just sunk.
And because they knew.
That's how they're going to cheat.
That's how they're going to take it.
Well, and just to be clear, because they, which is to say that the Democrats or the opponents of
anybody who loves this country, they know that most of us vote on the day of.
Right.
And so they have cheated way, way, way, way up front.
they can just jam everything up on the day of.
On the day of, it's mostly going to be people, you know, voting for you and not your opponent.
75% of the people voting were voting for me on Election Day.
Well, Carrie, part of the problem here, the larger problem for me in the culture,
is that if you grew up in America, as we did, you grew up in a country where you basically,
as I said earlier, trusted the processes, various processes.
You basically said, look, I know people are going to.
angle to get an advantage. But out and out cheating is simply not something we've seen much of.
In other words, you figure like we're going to play by the rules, maybe people are going to
try to shave things here or there. But actual cheating, the idea that the other side would
engage in genuine cheating, it's very hard to take that seriously until you have no choice.
But it's only recently that we've seen the scale of it and the willingness of it of those folks to do this.
It's a horrifying reality.
And right in front of our face, knowing that we see it, knowing what they're doing.
And basically, yeah, we're going to cheat.
We're going to steal this election and you're going to just have to live with it is what they're telling us.
And I think what's happening, this is why the powers that be hate populist candidates.
I think they've been shaving a little here, shaving a little there for a long time.
when you get a big populist candidate like the bull in the china shop named Donald Trump, it's a lot harder.
You can't shave enough off on one side. You have to just blatantly stop counting, roll out the ballots, you know, all the funny business they did.
And the same with me. This is why they hate populist candidates. A, they can't control them.
They're not for sale. You can't bribe them or blackmail them. They belong to the people. And that's what you get with Trump, me, and many other candidates out there. I think America First candidates. I do want to say one thing.
thing though. When I walked away from my career, I really thought I was going to the last half of my life.
I was 52 when I walked away. And I thought, well, things will get quiet and I'll just live a quiet life
behind the scenes. I kind of thought my best years were behind me. And I just want people to know,
as long as you are on this earth, breathing air and alive, you are needed. You are needed in this fight.
You know, Benjamin Franklin was 80. 80. 81, maybe. No way. Actually, we're going to be, this is.
call a cliffhanger. You're going to find out all about
who's this guy, Benjamin Franklin? When we come back, don't go away.
Welcome back talking to Carrie Lake, brand new book today. Unafraid,
you need to get a copy, just saying. Carrie, you were just saying something about
Benjamin Franklin. Well, I was talking about when I walked away from my career and
just walked into the Great Unknown at 52. I kind of thought, okay, I don't want to say
it's downhill from here, but
it'll be a life that won't be as exciting as what I just experienced 30 years in media.
And God had some different plans.
And I just want people to know, you know, a lot has happened.
None of us are getting out of this unscathed.
There's been sacrifice.
People have walked away from jobs.
Everyone I know who's had to make that sacrifice has told me, after I've met them, you know,
they'll say I had to walk away because I was forced to get a Vax or whatever.
You come out on the other side, a better person for it.
When you stand up for your principles, Benjamin Franklin was 80 or 81,
when they wrote the Constitution.
I mean, 81.
He was 81, and he was, yeah, he was the oldest member of the constitutional convention.
Think how important his life was at 81 still.
As long as you're breathing air on this planet, you are needed in this battle.
Moses was 80.
Yeah.
Moses was 80, a reluctant leader.
He begged God, no, I don't want to lead.
I'm not fit for it.
We all have God-given abilities, and they're all needed right now.
whatever, whatever talent you have,
they're needed right now to save our country.
And I believe that we can do this.
We will do this.
Will it be easy?
No.
Will we be stronger at the end of it?
Yes.
And I really think our greatest days in America are ahead of us.
Well, I would agree with you.
I'm cautiously optimistic in the sense that I think that if everyone will fight,
if people will wake up and do what is necessary and make the sacrifices,
because there's still people hanging back.
who want to play it safe.
And I go all around the country in a sense saying that place is the least safe place you can
imagine.
If you are standing on the sidelines while we're fighting for the soul of the nation, you're
complicit.
And I talk about this.
I talk about it in my most recent book.
But the parallel with the German church in the 1930s is horrifying.
It is absolutely the silence of the German church.
because they thought in the beginning, well, we're just going to play it safe.
We're just going to be, you know, we're going to look away.
This is not our lane.
It is exactly what God has called each of us to do.
And so people hanging back and being in the middle, you are opening the door to evil.
And everything we're seeing right now, let's face it, we're seeing madness, open border.
Whoever dreamt that we could have an open border and that just things happening in this country,
the transgender lunacy, the pride lunacy, the absolute madness.
that has come upon us is because there are people who aren't yet in the fight.
And you're calling them to the fight.
I'm calling them to the fight.
And we want to say that if you don't fight folks, you're helping the bad guys win.
There's no neutral here.
And so it's why I have, you know, been unapologetic about my support of President Trump
and of folks like you who have been, you were robbed by people.
Corruption is a moral issue.
Well, the people of Arizona were robbed.
It hurt me personally.
That's what I mean.
And I didn't enjoy it.
Yeah.
But the people of Arizona were robbed and hurt by this.
Yeah.
And the people of our country, when you install a fraud who didn't win in the governor's office in a state like Arizona, it hurts our whole country.
And if we sit back in and some of these Republicans are saying, let's stop talking about 2020 and 2020.
I'm a mother.
If we've got a problem in our home, if I discovered my son or daughter had an issue, they were using drugs or something like that or my marriage had a problem, you don't solve that.
that problem by putting your head in the sand and hoping, ignoring it and it'll go away,
you address it. And we have to address these elections. And any of these phony journalists,
the propagandists who are trying to call out President Trump for talking about 2020,
you know. Can we even believe it? Brett Baer had the nerve to do that, by the way. And he was
the one who called the election in Arizona. He set off this snowball effect that I think has been
destructive to our country and in our world. I think you're right. We've got more in hour two with
Carrie Lake. The book is Unafraid Out Today.
