Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit legacy p.m.investments.com. That's legacy p.m. Investments.com. Taxis show with your host, Eric Mettaxas. Hey there, folks. Happy Friday. Friday. Yes, we made it. We made it. Coming up this weekend.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Oh, my goodness. Where do we start? First of all, I'm still in Florida. I'm flying. to Las Vegas for the premiere, for the virtual premiere of 2000 mules. Everybody needs to go to 2000mules.com. You can be part of the virtual premiere. That'll be tomorrow night, Saturday night. I will be part of it. I guess I'll be helping to host it with Danielle DeSuzza, Dinesh's daughter, and 2000mules.com is the website. That's number one. Number two, because it is Mother's Day, we are in a couple of minutes getting to talk to our friends, the Robertsons, the Robbertsons, the Duck Dynasty Robertsons, Ms. Kay, and I don't even remember which daughter, oh my gosh, which of her daughter-in-laws is Pastor Al's wife. In any event,
Starting point is 00:01:33 in a couple of seconds, they've written a book together, and we interviewed them a couple days ago, but the book is called Sister Roar, and it's about women, well, you'll see. But I love Ms. Kay. That whole family, I just love them. The Duck Dynasty folks are just, they're the real deal. So we're going to be talking to them in a couple of minutes. In hour two, we're going to encore my conversation with Dinesh D'Souza himself about the film, about his making of the film, about what's in the film. That is an hour two. today. I'm going to say it again and again, folks. It's an amazing, amazing thing that he has done. It's amazing that the people behind the research, the folks behind True the Vote, that they saw
Starting point is 00:02:24 this coming and that they bought this data. This is all the cell phone data that they track our cell phones, whether we like it or not. And they said, let's buy the data around the drop boxes and see what we see. It is open and shut. And if you don't like it, all you can do is say, oh, it's a conspiracy theory. There's no evidence.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Or you can say these things, but that makes you a liar because you haven't looked into it. And I want people to know, unfortunately, this really happened. So we need to know how it happened. And this is just one level of fraud. This is just the stuff.
Starting point is 00:03:00 This is just ballot, harvesting ballot, stuffing in the drop boxes. that's one level of fraud, but that was enough. It goes on and on. We also, before we get to Miss Kay Robertson, should mention, Albin, that May 31st in New York City, folks, we are having one of the most special Socrates events we have ever had.
Starting point is 00:03:28 This is the day after, this is to start your summer off right, right? Because Memorial Day is the day before. This, we have rooms at the Union League club available in case anybody wants to come to New York, you know, do a show, whatever, and do this on Tuesday night. But May 31st, I am interviewing Apollo 16 astronaut Charlie Duke. He walked on the moon 50 years ago. It is just amazing to me that we get to have him at a Socrates and City of an event. He's 86.
Starting point is 00:04:02 His wife, Dottie, Dorothy, they are. going to be celebrating the day after June 1st is their 59th wedding anniversary. Wow. So they were married like a month before I was born or weeks before I was born. And I cannot wait. He's going to share about his faith. If you want to meet him, tickets are available. The early bird tickets are still available.
Starting point is 00:04:28 And I encourage you. Listen, this is as close as we get to Moralago in New York City. When you see the Union League Club, it is one of those heavenly gorgeous. You can't believe it exists, frankly. That's something this beautiful exists in New York City. The art, everything. It's just absolutely magnificent. We have, as I said, I became a member of the club so that we could do these events there.
Starting point is 00:04:55 And so we will have rooms in case somebody wants to stay overnight. They're gorgeous rooms, good prices. Like, it's really a wonderful thing that they allow us to do that. have to be in touch with us. And you have to go to Socrates in the city.com. If you want to get the early bird tickets, please go there soon. Because we only had a certain number that are reserved at the early bird price. Can we jump into the CSI because of what's going on over there?
Starting point is 00:05:25 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Obviously, we want to tell you that politically speaking, we know we're going through crazy times. but because of the madness in the world, because we have a senile pseudo-president in office, it has emboldened China, it is emboldened Russia. And we know that what is happening in Ukraine is a result of, you know, there's evil in the world. And our job is simply to do what we can do. So I want to ask you to please go to our radio website, metaxistalk.com. you'll see the banner, how you can help Ukrainian refugees.
Starting point is 00:06:07 They need our help folks. These people, these are innocent people, families that have been displaced from their homes. It's an unimaginable thing to be displaced from your home as a result of war. It's a terrible thing. But the good news is we can help them. If you know CSI, they're an extraordinary Christian organization, please go to our website, metaxis talk.com, give what you can. And I want to reiterate anyone who feels moved to give $10,000, obviously it's tax deductible.
Starting point is 00:06:41 We want to thank you by, I will have dinner and spend the evening with you. I've done this with a number of wonderful families and couples and really whatever you want to do. But it's my way of saying thank you if you're able to help out. These people are suffering and they need our help. So I want to encourage you just to do what you can. They're asking for $280 that helps a person for a month. That's housing, medical food, obviously. But if you can do more, we appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:07:15 This is an emergency. I also want to say whatever you can do, instead of doing nothing, do what you can do. Whatever you can do, by the way, we put your name in a hat and we picked three grand prize winners just as a way of thanking you. and we will send you signed books, my signed books, Albin signed books, and all kinds of Texas show swag, T-shirts and hats and whatever Zippo lighters. I don't know what we had left. Whatever, mugs, all kinds of great.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Stickers, mugs, yeah, all kinds of goodies. We got a lot of fun stuff. So we want to encourage you. Let me give you the phone number. There are some people, I think, that you'll want to call right now. And I exhort you to call, please, because these people are suffering. And CSI is an organization that we partner with because we trust them completely. So you can call 888-253-3522.
Starting point is 00:08:14 That's 888-253-35-22. 8-88-253-35-22. They're folks standing by to 105-2. take your call. Yeah, and please do it now before you forget and go to the website, the taxes talk.com, bannered right up there at the top. By the way, Erica, I know you, you tweeted it out yesterday, but it's still up there at American greatness, am greatness.com. I have a new article, what the left hates most. And I think when you read it, it won't be a surprise what they hate most. We have to, I just want to say, you know, if you follow me
Starting point is 00:08:59 on social media. It's like I say, hey, my producer, Albin, he's not just a producer. He's a writer and a thinker. And so your article, Albin, it's just wonderful. All your stuff is wonderful. So I put it out on Twitter. I'll put it out on my other social media. But you can just go to American greatness yourself and read what Albin had to say.
Starting point is 00:09:20 We are, we really are just grateful that we get to do what we do. And I want to thank my audience for, being a part of the program, participating with us giving to these campaigns. There's no way we could possibly thank you. We read all of your emails that come in. We're grateful for them. We can't respond to everyone. But I read everything.
Starting point is 00:09:44 I'm still able to do that. So thank you. And we'll be right back. Yeah. Have a great weekend, too, folks. Tell me, Eric, why is relief factors so successful at lowering or eliminating pain? I'm often asked that question. The owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal.
Starting point is 00:10:22 That's right, designed to heal. And I agree with them. So the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, each helps your body deal with inflammation. Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway. And that right there, approaching from four different angles, may be why so many people find such wonderful relief. So if you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain from exercise or just getting older,
Starting point is 00:10:49 you should order the three-week quick start discounted to only 1995 to see if it will work for you. It works for me. It has for about 70% of the half a million people who've tried it and have ordered more. Go to relieffactor.com or call 800 for relief to find out about this offer. Feel the difference. Hey, folks, if you could make money off of abortion or pornography, would you do it? I hope the answer is no. but I want to tell you Robert Netsley, the founder of Inspire Insight.com,
Starting point is 00:11:18 he was the president of his local pro-life pregnancy center when he discovered that he owned investments in three companies manufacturing abortion drugs. Well, God helped him to see that he was making money from abortion, pornography, LGBT activism, and the list goes on. And that's why he created InspireInsight.com. Inspireinsight.com gives you instant access to biblical values, data on over 23,000 stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs so you can invest to the glory of God. Go to inspireinsight.com today and register for free. That's inspireinsight.com. Go there. From the Eric Matakson show, I get to talk to some members of a fan. family that I am extremely fond of. Some of you know the Robertsons from West Monroe, Louisiana.
Starting point is 00:12:34 They are friends. I've had the privilege of hunting ducks with them and eating in their home. And there's so many of them that every couple of months somebody comes out with a book. And I just realized that Kay Robertson, Ms. Kay and Lisa Robertson have a new book out called Sister Roar. And I thought, I just, I'm looking for any excuse to talk to the Robertson. So I have them on the program right now. Miss Kay and Lisa, welcome. Thank you. I love being here.
Starting point is 00:13:05 I got to tell you something. Yeah. My husband really likes you. Well, can I tell you something? Don't tell your husband, but I love your husband. I have admired him from before I ever had the privilege of meeting him. He's one of my heroes, and I really love him. And I feel honored to think that he's even aware of my existence.
Starting point is 00:13:24 so thank you. Well, he is, and I wanted to tell you that because you don't hear that much from Phil. Sorry, the other people. Wow, that's actually, you know, that means more to me than you might realize. So, Ms. Kay, thank you. Listen, the reason that I have loved your family from before I got to meet you is because you have always taken a public stand for your faith. And we live in a country where in the mainstream, you don't get to do that very.
Starting point is 00:13:54 much. So when I heard that there was a family, this way before I knew what Duck Dynasty was, that you were praying at your meals. And I thought, this is nothing but good news for America. Praise God. I was just absolutely thrilled. And you have been vocal about your faith, knowing that there's tons of people in America who are right exactly where you are. So I do have to ask you now, just to get clear here, how many, Ms. Kay, how many kids do you, have because I feel like I need a chart. I want to be real clear. Well, I only have four boys, but I have probably raised about 30. Okay, we can't get into that. But you have four boys. Alan, Lisa, Allen, of course, is your husband. That's right. And he's a pastor. That's right.
Starting point is 00:14:45 He's a pastor. And he's clean shaven at certain times. Is he not? Certain times. He's not at the moment. I just want to be clear on, you know, who in the peccas. Who's whatever. So let's get to it. What is this book and why did your publisher force you to give it the preposterous title, Sister Roar? How much do I love you to have you on this program to talk about a book called Sister Roar? I just find that funny. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what, we came up with the name actually because, you know, throughout our life, we feel as though the evil one silences our voice with, you know, with difficulties, with struggles that we have. And so we want every woman to find their voice and to find that roar that they can speak to others about. Because in struggles,
Starting point is 00:15:38 you know, whenever we have victories through those struggles, we need to tell other people about that. Because like you said, so many people are in the same place that we are without hope. And so our thing with this book is we want to give people hope and we want to tell them, look, we've been there and you just got to find that voice and you've got to tell people, give them that roar. Well, now that you put it that way, suddenly I like the title. Sister Roar. Okay, so it's Sister Roar and Ms. Kay and Lisa, you have written the book. Have the two of you, you've all written so many books. Have you written a book together, the two of you before? No, not just the two of us, but now we did one with all the daughter-in-laws in Ms. Kay. Okay, wow.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Yeah. All right. So then, so yeah, so talk about the idea behind the book. It says, Sister Roar, claim your authentic voice, embrace real freedom, and discover true sisterhood. Go ahead. Okay. I tell you for me, I mean, my story is known by everybody, I think, but I told this to another. interview last night, I said, you know, the first time I ever got to speak because I wanted to,
Starting point is 00:16:54 I just felt like God called me to tell our story because it was so unique and, you know, it just showed the miracles of God. And when I first got up to speak, I just stood there for 10 minutes. No words came out. And then the girl came up who asked me to speak and she said, Ms. Kay, I know it's your first time. But I heard all the things God did to save your family. and that's what I thought you were going to tell. Has he not helped you? And boy, when she said that, I said, yes, he's helped me. He saved my marriage.
Starting point is 00:17:27 And he saved my kids and everything. So then I took off talking, and they had to stand up and wave their hands to make me shut up. Well, when you get to testifying, it's tough to shut that off, right? Because it's just such a beautiful thing. But look, it is true. A lot of people might not know. but especially you, Ms. Kay, your generation, when you married Phil, both of you were very young, he was bad news, you know, by normal standards.
Starting point is 00:17:59 He was a tough, wild man, and by the grace of Jesus, he came to faith and it just changed everything, at least all the stuff that needed changing, the good stuff just got better. You know what I called him? I call him now, the modern day John the Bible. but back then now when I did marry him he was not as wild he was unique he always led groups
Starting point is 00:18:25 I mean you could see people his mother told me that when he was six years old and she went to pick him up at school he was standing on the steps and he had about 20 kids down there by him and he was telling stories hunting stories fishing stories whatever stories
Starting point is 00:18:40 and he's been leading I mean all the way through everything he goes he always gets the crowd because they want to hear what he has to say before we were ever famous. That's still. Yeah, and that's part of how you got famous. So you know that it was Jesus that healed your marriage, that brought your husband into the family of faith and made him God's kind of leader, the kind of leader he is today.
Starting point is 00:19:11 And you've got a huge legacy. I mean, you've got four boys. and then all the others that you have raised, and then you've got all the grandkids, and on and on and on it goes, this legacy, but it all goes back to your faith. That's right. And that's what I want to tell women about giving up too soon.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Don't do that. I mean, I don't want any women to be, you know, hurt physically or anything like that. But there's so many times that we just have, you know, people have an argument, and then they decide they want a divorce. I mean, let me tell you. My grandmother told me when I was a little girl and I stayed with her until I was 16.
Starting point is 00:19:50 And she said, you know, you're going to have to fight for your marriage. And I said, no, I'm not. I know just who I want to marry, a pioneer man. And I hadn't found him. Of course, I'm a little girl. And I say, but I know what I'll know him when I see him or hear about him. And so then I said, why would I have to fight for my marriage? And she said, because the devil doesn't want you.
Starting point is 00:20:15 you to stay married and he will come in and you have to understand that God is stronger than the devil, but it is going to make a play in your marriage. And I just thought she's just getting too old or something. And I want to tell you something from that 10 years when Phil, when we were first together, we were pregnant, we went to Louisiana Tech on his football scholarship and all that. and I said, you know, this is hard because we're not mature and we're raising a little boy here, her husband. And I said, but through those really hard times when Phil just got like the prodigal son,
Starting point is 00:20:54 except he got on the bad, bad side, and he traveled with people that were just, like, had the ways of the devil. That's all I can say. And he did that. And then what I would tell my children was, the devil has got inside your dad. but we've got to pray, pray, pray for him to come out and to,
Starting point is 00:21:16 him to have Jesus Spirit, the Holy Spirit, like we have. And so the boys, they never hated their dad. They hated the devil in their dad. Well, that's another important teaching point in the middle of everything here, that, you know, when there's strife in the marriage, it is the job of the mother to say good things about the father, and it's the job of the father to say good things about the mother, even if you disagree to represent a united front to your children,
Starting point is 00:21:48 how vital that is. And a lot of people don't get that. So God bless you for that. And I guess, you know, Lisa, your husband was a little boy in the middle of this. But he's grown up to be an incredible man of God, in no small reason for that is because of what his mother told him. That's right. And, you know, Kay instilled that in him when he was little. And then whenever he was about five, he had another Christian couple that came and got him and took him to church, you know, every Sunday and Wednesday. So they invested in his life also. But that's what we have to do as mothers and grandmothers. And even fathers and grandfathers. We've got to invest in our kids and we've got to show them that God is bigger. The devil is out there. there, but God is bigger. And with his help, we can overcome anything. Well, folks, I'm talking to
Starting point is 00:22:46 Ms. Kay Robertson and Lisa Robertson. The book is Sister Roar. We'll be right back. In case you haven't been paying attention, the Biden administration has caused a financial crisis, and they have no clue how to fix it. Oil prices have skyrocketed, and when oil prices go up, the cost of transportation and shipping spikes, leading the prices of goods to rise. And when we're already seeing record inflation, that's the last thing we need. Our economy is in trouble, and you need to take steps to protect yourself. If all your money is tied up in stocks, bonds, and traditional markets, you are vulnerable. Gold is one of the best ways to protect your retirement.
Starting point is 00:23:39 No matter what happens, you own your gold. It is real, it is physical, it's always been valuable since the dawn of time. Legacy precious metals is the company I trust for investing in gold. They can help you roll your retirement account into a gold-backed IRA where you still own the physical gold. They can also ship gold and precious metal safely and securely to your house. Call Legacy at 866-528-1903 or visit them online at LegacyPMinvestments.com. Folks, welcome back. I'm talking to the Robertsons or some of the Robertsons. I'm talking to Ms. Kay and I'm talking to Lisa Robertson. They have a new book out called Sister Roar.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Lisa, you were just doing a countdown and, you know, the numbers and you said that, you said it's up to 10. And I said, I would pronounce that 10, but you said 10. And I just want to let you know, I prefer the way you pronounce it. It's just much, I don't know, I don't know what to tell you. It just sounds a little bit more American to me. I want you to talk about the book. You were just making a point before we went to the break. So say more, Lisa, about what you were just saying.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Well, I was talking about that we've got to invest in our children. And not only that, we've got to invest in other people also. And that's kind of what our book is about. It's about women getting together, sharing their struggles, and sharing their victories, encouraging one another, and just bringing them along with you. You know, sometimes in this race of life that we're going through, sometimes we stumble and fall. And all we need is just, you know, the hand of a friend to pick us up and help us get back on the, you know, on the right footing so that we can run the race. And so, you know, sisters are very important. Women just, we need interaction together.
Starting point is 00:25:40 And we need the interaction of someone who has possibly been through the same thing we have. Possibly, you know, we need the interaction that we can encourage somebody who has been there, but is, you know, hey, they've overcome. And we've got to tell God's victories. So many times in our life, you know, God does these things. and then we just keep silent about it. But we've got to share those victories that he helps us to overcome, you know, the struggles in our life. I'm always annoyed by people who are shy about sharing what God has done in their lives. Or sometimes I wrote a book on miracles a few years ago.
Starting point is 00:26:21 And I would ask people, you know, have you ever had a miracle happen? And they tell me this insane, amazing story of God. And then I'd find out that they've never shared it with anybody. I thought, are you out of your mind? Do you know how many people would be blessed if you would open your mouth and tell what God did? And what would keep you from doing that? So I just want to say thank you for putting this point out there that we're supposed to do that. And maybe, you know, when you think about sisterhood, as sisters in Christ, you know, you know the answer to the problems of the world.
Starting point is 00:26:58 It's Jesus. But you also know there are a lot of people. who are running their mouths a lot, who don't know that, and they are, they're encouraging their friends to get divorced. You know, what do you need him for? What do you need to? And we know that, you said, if there's a physical abuse or something, but in many cases, in most cases,
Starting point is 00:27:21 if somebody hears a voice representing God in the middle of it and says, listen, I've been through what you've, been through, it can change everything. And it seems to me that's basically what your book is. That's exactly right. I mean, it's throughout mine and Kay's life both. And, you know, Kay's older than I am. So she's had, you know, more life to live. But at the same time, we both overcome things that, you know, in today's society, people will say, you can't overcome that. You know, that's not possible. we have done it. And whenever you share with other people what God has done in your life, then it helps them to realize, you know, maybe he can do that in my life too.
Starting point is 00:28:13 So let's talk about some of the things that the Lord has done in your lives, either of you. Because I think that we do need to be reminded as we're saying that this is real. This is not theory. This is real. We're in a spiritual battle. Ms. K. You said it. There is a devil. He wants to destroy marriages. You need to get that in your head, folks, that you're not on some neutral turf. You're living in a world that wars against marriage and family. And you need to get in that battle God's way. So what are some of the things that, you know, both of you were talking about? Well, the one, the one I talked about the most is the beginning of us where I told you we were young with a baby on the way and all. that when Phil was a quarterback at Louisiana Tech on a scholarship. So I was, you know, there to take care of Allen and I had to even finish high school there. But so what happened was when Phil started running, run and running with the wrong crowd, which was probably have more two-thirds of the
Starting point is 00:29:19 football team. And because they would have certain periods, they'd make them stay in the dorm. And they could not go to their home because they had to have their mind clear for college. And they had to have their mind clear for football. So would, you know, more and more feel would be interacting with people that are drinking and doing all kind of bad things. And so that's when I just started seeing the devil interfield and it just went and went. And then see those 10 years, it was 10 years that he was a jerk. That's what I call him. Except
Starting point is 00:29:50 he just, he just didn't even realize, and I see it now that he was following the evil one. And, but other people, my family, his family, everybody said, leave him, leave him, leaving. I said, I don't think God wants me to do that. And they were like, well, he's treating you terrible. He's, he was running around on me. He was drinking. He was smoking up. All those things. And I stayed with him, raising a boy, trying to live the rest I could. And we prayed for him every day. And when the quick end to this is, uh, he can kicked us out of the house, if you want to know the truth, me and three, the boys, because he said I was
Starting point is 00:30:33 wearing his life. And I said, well, he kicked you out of the house? He did. But now hold on. We need to go to a break. I want to compose myself thinking about that one. And we're going to be right back talking to the authors of Sister Roar. Don't go away. Hey there, folks. Eric Mattaxas here. I know you know how much I love Mike Lindell and my pillow. Starting point is 00:32:10 I'm talking to Ms. K. Robertson and Lisa Robertson. the book is Sister Roar. And Ms. Kay, you just said something. I know you told me this story before, but I can't believe it. You said that your husband, Phil, the duck commander, he was so bad, this is right at the beginning of your marriage, that he threw you and the kids out of the house.
Starting point is 00:32:30 He needed some peace because you were in nothing but trouble, obviously. Yes, because I was preaching. At 27, I really made Jesus the Lord of my life, Before I was a small kid, I didn't exactly know what it meant, but I became a Christian, and I just, you know, I tried to subtly say things and not be, but that's what might probably got it. I was being a holy roll or something. He didn't like it. So that's when he put us out, and I'll never forget. It was a rainy night, and I had a boatswagon, and me and three little boys piled everything we could get in a boat wagon, and we went to his brother's house. And I asked his brother, could we stay there, because Phil put us out. And he said, only one night, only one night you can stay. And I was like, okay.
Starting point is 00:33:20 And then I said, do you mind why only one night? Because I didn't think I'd ever done anything to offend you. And he said, Kay, it's not you at all. I'm scared of Phil. That's what he said. I'm scared of him. So I said, okay. So I can to the present town we live in now
Starting point is 00:33:37 and went to the church, the big church that we go to. And I just told him. said, I need help, you know, and we got in a little apartment. It was paid by what you make, and I only made $250 a month, so that's all I had. And me and the boys, we just prayed for them every day, and they got on the bus problem. It's called the Pink Buses, and if you invite the neighbors, they come. So it really helped my kids with their loss of not having their daddy. But we prayed for them, we prayed for them, and then quickly to end this,
Starting point is 00:34:12 he came to my work at a lunchtime, and I was coming in from lunch, and my girlfriend said, oh, no, there's Phil. And look, he's laying on his steering wheel. She said, what do you think? And I said, I don't know, but I've got to face it. And she said, what if he's got a gun in his future? And I said, well, you've been watching too much news,
Starting point is 00:34:31 but number two is you can just watch from here and make sure nothing happens to me. So I go out there and he'd been crying, and I've never seen Phil cry, you know, big tough men. man, you don't cry. And so he said, I'm sorry. He said, I love my family.
Starting point is 00:34:49 I can't live without my family. And I just can't eat and I can't sleep. And he said, I want you back. And I'm sorry of what I did all those 10 years. And I said, Phil, this was my heart was going about 100 miles an hour. And I said, let me tell you something. You can't do it by yourself. You said 100 times you were going to quit.
Starting point is 00:35:12 And you didn't. And he said, well, what am I? I need to talk to somebody. And I said, well, I've got somebody lined up. It was a preacher at the church where I went. And he had visited Phil one time in the beer joint. Phil's baby sister brought him in there. And he talked to Phil and Phil said, have you ever been drunk?
Starting point is 00:35:30 And the preacher said, yes, I have. He said, but not lately. And he said, no, Phil, not since I come to Jesus. So anyway, Phil said, I want that guy. He's brave enough to come in the beer joint. then that's who I want to talk to. And so they studied, and the next night, when they studied again, we let him stay. And the boy said, Daddy, please bring us that color TV.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Mama's made us watch this little bitty black and white, and we just can't stand it. So I don't know if the kids were as glad to see him as they were the color TV. But we went, the note was left on the door. Please come to the church, hurry. And when we got to the church, it was me and three little boys standing in the back. And Phil was up at the Baptistry, and he was given his confession to make Jesus the Lord of his life. And, of course, my boys all had tears coming down. And then Jason looked up and said, does that mean that devil is going to be in daddy?
Starting point is 00:36:25 And I said, no, he's not being dad anymore. I said, Jesus is going to be in dad, not the devil. But I said, look, he don't know how to act as a Christian. So we're going to have to help him. And Jason said, please, Mama tell me he's not incrust in church. And I said, well, we hope he don't. But we're going to have to teach him. That's what we're going to have to do.
Starting point is 00:36:47 And that was really the beginning after the 10 years. And look at Phil now. You know how he is. Would you ever thought he was that other man? Well, yes, I would because I have a great imagination. But I will tell you, and because I haven't always been the way I am myself. So it's just a – but I just want to say how beautiful it is. Because I think what people need – and this is why I'm glad you wrote the book, Sister Roar,
Starting point is 00:37:10 and why you're glad you're talking on this program. People need to see the other side. People need to understand that the hell you went through, everybody thinks like, well, it's just me. No, every, but just about everybody has been through hell. Those moments that you cannot even imagine, you look back on them, taking three boys into a car in the rain. You can't see past that, but God sees past it.
Starting point is 00:37:37 And when we think about what God did, because of your faithfulness, because you were faithful to God, to what God called you to do. You didn't listen to those voices, which really the voices of the devil telling you, get out, get out. When we think, because of your faithfulness, the legacy, how many lives have been changed, how many people have heard about Jesus because of that moment. And I really believe that's what your book is about, to encourage women in the midst of their battles. Lisa, I just can't believe you could possibly have any stories that could come near
Starting point is 00:38:16 what we just heard. So I'm not going to ask you to, you know, but I just want to, but at the same time, look, we've all been through. Let's not, let's not pretend. We all know. We all know what it is to live in this world. In this world, we have tribulation. Jesus said it. It's real. And so we all have that. We need to be honest about it. We need to understand that we're in a battle. But what would you like to say? Well, I was just going to say that, you know, even whenever you become a Christian, it doesn't mean that your life is going to be without problems, you know? That's why you need the sisterhood. That's why you need people around you to encourage you to not give up.
Starting point is 00:38:58 You know, before you become a Christian, of course, everybody lives like the devil. But, you know, sometimes in the midst of being a Christian, we lose our way. And, you know, we need people to encourage us and help us to get back on track. Or, you know, our spouses lose their way. And so what we need is somebody's, you know, sitting right here beside us, somebody holding our hand, somebody is wiping away our tears and somebody just to be there and listen to what we're saying. We're out of time. I just want to say thank you. We are just blessed by your family.
Starting point is 00:39:38 by your faithfulness, folks. The book is Sister Roar. Ms. Kay and Lisa, thank you. God bless you. Thank you. Hey, folks. I'm still in Palm Beach, leaving soon,
Starting point is 00:40:12 but I wanted to record this just to say, first of all, in case we don't catch you over the weekend, happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers out there. God bless you.
Starting point is 00:40:24 I got to tell you, Albin, you know, as you know this weekend, Salem Radio has been very good to us, and they're the ones that have produced. Salem Media has produced a number of films, the Dinesh D'Souza film, which I hope everyone will see. Saturday, May 7th is the virtual premiere. Okay, you've got to go to 2000mules.com. I will be involved in that. I'm flying to Las Vegas, but it's vital that America knows what happened. I'm telling you when you see it, you'll get it.
Starting point is 00:41:01 If you're skeptical, when you see it, you'll say, okay, I get it. I didn't understand how they did it. You will understand and you'll tell your friends because America needs to know. SalemNow.com. Also, we have the film whose children are they? Another vitally, but there's so many important things right now that it gets a little dizzying. But whose children are they is a film that explains, really, what we're fighting is cultural Marxism.
Starting point is 00:41:30 This is communism. It's come to America. And they're starting to say, hey, we want to take your children away from you. The kind of thing that you wouldn't dream about a few decades ago, they want to take your children away from you. They want to indoctrinate them. They want to confuse them about what gender they are. They want to offer them mastectomies and hormone replacement.
Starting point is 00:41:50 I mean, the kind of stuff out of a dystopian novel, out of a nonductible, out of a nondon, nightmare novel. Whose Children Are They is the film that deals with it. The election fraud, the film is 2000 Mules. Go to 2000mules.com. But you know, Albin, we said this as a result of where we are in the nation, there are crazy things happening beyond the nation because strong-armed dictators and thugs and troublemakers, tyrants like, oh, I don't know, Vladimir Putin, have been emboldened to attack Ukraine, for example. So there are 11,000 refugees suffering having to leave their homes in Ukraine. We have partnered with Christian Solidarity International. We beg you to join us in partnering with them in helping the refugees. They didn't ask for this, folks. They didn't
Starting point is 00:42:48 ask for this. They're just living their lives in Ukraine. This happens as a result of American weakness. projected weakness as a result of this administration emboldening Putin who's waited forever to do this. He's been waiting and waiting. And now he saw his opportunity. So people are suffering. Our job is to help those people. These are Ukrainian refugees. So I want to ask you to go to metaxistalk.com. Metaxistocot.com. If you go to metaxis talk.com, you will see the banner. And we ask you to do what you can. Albin, I know there's a phone number. Maybe I have. I've got the phone number.
Starting point is 00:43:25 It's 888-253-3522. That's 888-253-352. Please be generous, folks. You know what? I'm going to read the phone number. It's 888-253-3522. How'd you get that? 253-352-8-88-253-3522.
Starting point is 00:43:46 8-88-253-3522. Because we need everybody to participate. It doesn't matter what you can give. I always say that. $280 is what we're asking. If you can do more, thank you. If you can't do that, do what you can. But when we do a campaign, you know, we partner with CSI or with just a handful of folks that we trust totally, that they're going to do a good job.
Starting point is 00:44:11 So please go to metaxis talk.com, click on the Ukraine banner or dial the number. But we need your help, folks, bluntly. We need your help. 888-253-35-22. 888-253-35-22. And once again, if we don't see you over the weekend, happy Mother's Day. God bless you.
