The other day you were on with Hugh Hewitt on his radio show, and he asked you a couple of times toward the end of the interview, what

would happen in the U.S. if religious leaders don't push back against the woke culture? You didn't really answer it, and he asked you twice. Do you expect some conservatives to wear the equivalent of a star of David on their clothing? Will we go to re-education camps?

I'm curious to see what you think. Well, Hugh threw a lot at me. He struck me as hostile. Now, he's a friend, but he struck me as hostile and aggressive, and you didn't really give me an opportunity to answer these things. So I'm really grateful for the opportunity to answer it now. What was the question again? Just quitting.

No, no, just kidding. I got it. Basically, you know, we're not joking. here. First of all, when I say in my book, Letter to the American Church, which is what I was talking about on his program, that we are in the process of being judged and if we do not repent, if the American Church does not begin to speak loudly and proudly about the truth and push against the woke madness and the cultural Marxism, if we keep pretending that that's not my lane, I'm just supposed to preach about the, I'm preach the gospel. That's not biblical folks. That's nonsense. sense, and a lot of Christian leaders are saying that, and I am saying, if we don't, we are going down, we are already going down, but we will go down much more dramatically a path unimaginable to us, as unimaginable as the path the Germans went down in the 30s. Nobody in 1933 and four and five, when they kept their mouths shut, dreamt of the nightmare a few years

ahead. So what would that look like? The first answer is, who cares? We know it's going to be bad. Does it matter if it perfectly parallels what happened in Germany? It's going to be as bad or worse. I think already people with biblical values are already being demonized. In the way that Jews were being demonized for their ethnic background, if you say I have a biblical view of sexuality, you think you can get a job in a corporation today, HR in most corporations, they are keeping anybody like that out. Try to get a job as a psychiatrist. Try to get a job in the medical community

if you don't tow the line the way everybody does. That's how it starts. They begin marginalizing people with biblical values. But where does it go? You can only imagine. Look at what's going on in China today. What's going on in China is it's a level of wickedness that we can't imagine.

And so when people ask where do you think it's going to go, my answer is it really doesn't matter. It's going to be very, very bad, and we'll find out. I would prefer for us to speak loudly and push back so that we don't go down whatever nightmare path this is. All right, that's my long answer. If you prefer the short answer, I'm sorry, we don't have time. Okay, here's another long question. My sisters and I are big fans of yours. They, however, are being drawn into conspiracy theories, and it concerns me.

Can you address this issue for Christians? I think they're being deceived. They think I'm being deceived. For example, we had a huge argument about the moon landing. Thank you for being a voice of reason in our culture. Okay, I think your siblings might be idiots, but I don't know them personally. But let me say this, folks. Anyone who questions whether the earth is a sphere or whether people landed on the moon

or whether Hillary Clinton is a lizard person, don't talk to them. don't bother, don't cast ye your pearls before swine getting involved in this madness. Some people are just foolish. They're foolish people, and they waste their time, and they try to waste your time talking about things that are ridiculous. There are so many genuine things to worry about and to work on, but the fact that people are so out of touch that they would waste their time

talking about whether people landed on the moon, you need to laugh at them. It's like saying, I believe Ronald Reagan was actually a raccoon. What do you think? You don't, I think there are many places in the Bible that say you do not answer a fool according to his folly. I really just would walk away.

It's not worth your time. Okay. What do you think about Mayor Eric Adams declaring a state of emergency in New York City regarding immigrants or migrants? Will the Democrats ever admit that they were wrong? on this matter? Mayor Eric Adams is in history. He's going toe to toe to toe with de Blasio as worst mayor of New York. Now, you realize the bar, de Blasio set the bar almost unbelievably high. And people think, I'm joking. If you live in New York and you watched it, it's kind of, it's hard

to believe. He's kind of like the Biden of mayors, where you just think like it's not possible for someone to be simultaneously incompetent. out of touch, ideologically hostile to, you know. So, but Eric Adams, the idea that he would be bothered by the idea that, you know, immigrants that come across our southern border are being bused to New York, I find it hilarious. And I find it anybody, whether it's Governor Abbott or Governor DeSantis, the idea that they're forcing these blue state hypocrites to deal with what they're

promoting. I just find it absolutely hilarious. So please bus more and cause Eric Adams to have a connoissem fit, perhaps not literally. Okay. Do you have a, speaking of New York City, do you have a favorite museum? Do you go often? Well, you know, this is the classic case. If you live in a place like New York, you never go to the places that all the tourists go to, even though you would think that you should. And so I've lately been very annoyed with myself. thinking like there are a number of museums. I mean, the classic one is the museum of, the Museum of Art on Fifth Avenue.

I almost said the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is five blocks long on Fifth Avenue. It is treasure upon treasure upon treasure upon treasure. That, I would say, would be the number one museum for me to visit. But do I often go? No. and even this question is making me think,

I need to do that. It's why I say to people, please come to New York, the treasures that are here, so it just makes me realize I need to do it. Yeah, yeah. What does a typical week look like for you? Like crazy.

And ultimately, we're standing for everyone's freedom to live consistent with their convictions, whether they're college students, whether they're in high school, whether they're ministers, whether they're their ministries, teachers, parents. We ultimately are working toward a nation where everyone has the freedom to live and to work consistent with their convictions without fear of

the government punishment. We want to keep the doors open for the gospel. Well, a lot of people, I think, have this idea that this doesn't concern them, that this happens to somebody else. But more and more and more, normal people going about their normal lives find themselves in the crosshairs of crazy anti-liberty forces, which is why we need the alliance defending freedom. Tell me about the case with Lori Smith and Lori will be on here in a second. But Kelly, tell us about that. Give us an idea of what is the case with Lori Smith. Yes, definitely. Well, you know, by God's grace, we've had 14 Supreme Court wins in the past 11 years, and we're hopeful that Lori's will be our 15th win. At stake in Lori's case,

Lori is an artist from Denver, Colorado. She's a graphic designer, and she is seeking to create consistent with her convictions, but Colorado's telling her she can't do that. They're censoring her beliefs, and trying to force her to design websites for weddings that go against her faith, the very core of who she is. So thankfully, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear her case, and we'll decide in that case whether or not Americans can be free to say what they believe, which is something that all of us wants. A win for Lori is not just for Lori.

It's a win for everyone. Well, I want to, before we bring Lori on, I want to, I want to just, have my audience really understand what we're dealing with here. This is a level of madness that if you don't do something about it, folks, everybody can afford to do something, which is why I keep saying go to metaxis talk.com, give to ADF. This is, I wanted to have you on. I'm excited to have you on because I thought, you know, you're like anybody. You're a graphic designer.

This is pretty basic stuff. This is not difficult for people to comprehend. Somebody comes to you and demands that you create something for them, which is not consistent with your values. And you say, well, I can't do that. And they say, well, we're going to make you do that. And where do you go? You either get put out of business or you get sued and legal bills or you go to the

Alliance Defending Freedom. But tell the case of like what, what happened to you that caused you to turn to lines defending freedom? Sure. Well, I've always been a creative person. I've enjoyed creating all my life for many years. I worked in the public and private sector. And I ultimately wanted to start my own business. And that's what I did. And the best part of my job is that I get to work with people from all walks of life, including those who identify as LGBT. But what's important, to know is that while I work with everyone and that brings me a lot of joy, I can't promote all messages through my business. And so what the government is saying is that they have the right, which they do not, to force me to speak and celebrate and create messages to pour my time and

my talent into promoting things that violate my deeply help beliefs. And I believe strongly that all Americans, whether your views on marriage are the same as mine or they're different, we all must live and work freely without the fear of government punishment. What's amazing to me, Kelly, is that this is happening in places like Colorado. In other words, you have these bastions of what can we call it, illiberality, where they are targeting people. It seems obvious they're targeting people because if I go to a Muslim baker and say, hey, pal, I got some money here and I want you to create something that is an anti-Islamic message and shut up and do it or I'm coming after you. Colorado would not support me in that. They would say, well, that's not right. In other words, they're being really selective because obviously folks with biblical beliefs like Lori would say, well, I can't celebrate same-sex marriage.

I can love people that I have different views with, but you're asking me to participate in that. I can't do that. This is a basic thing. I think most Americans understand this. So it seems to me that places like Colorado with Jack Phillips, they're particularly. particularly hostile to people of faith. And if it weren't for you and ADF, people of faith would literally lose their businesses. Well, that's right. Eric, they're going after people like Lori and Jack Phillips, and it's not just happening in Colorado. We're seeing it happen across the country where governments are

targeting artists trying to force them to violate their convictions. People like Lori who serve everyone but can't promote all messages. And they're threatening them with jail time, with up to even six-figure fines revocation of their business licenses. And you're right. Ultimately, the government shouldn't force any of us. It shouldn't force an LGBT graphic designer to create art that violates their convictions. It shouldn't force a Democrat speech writer to write for the Republican platform. Regardless of who we are or what our beliefs are, the government should protect each of us and our ability to live and to work and to create consistent with those convictions, to speak consistent with those convictions. And so that's what we're asking the Supreme Court to do is to uphold the

free speech rights of Lori Smith and the free speech rights that belonged to every single one of us as Americans. So Lori, can you talk about your case? What was it that triggered this, where you had to turn to ADF? What triggered my case almost six years ago, it's been quite a journey, is that the state is censoring my speech. It's compelling speech. So as I looked around at the way that Colorado was treating others. And like you mentioned, Jack Phillips, other people of faith specifically, I really didn't feel like I had much of a choice. I want to control the content of my own speech. Everyone should be free to do that, whether your views on marriage or other topics are the same as mine or different. So I took a stand not only to protect my own freedoms, but I recognize that what the state is going after impacts me, but it impacts everyone.

It impacts future generations. People who might be raising kids now, if they want to follow my steps one day and be a designer, they should have the freedom to control the content of their own speech. I'm just, I'm really astonished that this is happening in America. Most people understand this is anti-American. It's not just un-American, it's anti-American. And that we have people that are vicious, they don't really. care about American values. They don't care about what's fair. And I would say that most Americans

that I know, they don't believe that these things are right. But these things are happening. These are hostile people. And if it weren't for the lines defending freedom, we're all in big trouble. Okay, ready? So, Shoxygen City last night. So James Tour. Now, if you know James Tour and if you, actually, I recommend, what do I recommend? I guess I recommend first reading about him in my book is atheism dead because I, I, I, try to explain in a way that everyone can understand, which is not easy, who he is and what it is that he does. He's a nanoscientist, and he's so brilliant. And I don't know if you ever met people like this, but you meet somebody who's so brilliant, they can't talk. Like they talk,

and you go, I don't understand what you're saying. You know, you have to say, excuse me, what do you mean by that word and that word? And what is that concept? What is what is chirality? and what do you mean? And so obviously I wrote about him extensively in my book, is atheism dead. And it is just insanely fascinating. And the whole reason I wrote the book had to do with meeting him. So last night we did a Socrates and city event with him in Houston

because he's here at Rice University. And it was so funny and entertaining. We will obviously get the video up very, very soon. but I just, I enjoyed the event in front of everyone having this conversation with him, but I enjoyed talking to him beforehand. I enjoyed we do the Socrates and city dinners afterward and where we have more private conversations and stuff. And he shared about his faith.

Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. This man is just an on fire believer in Jesus. Like you can't even believe it. He's Jewish. It's kind of interesting. The last Socrates speaker was Andrew Claven, who's, of course, ethnically Jewish, who came to faith in Jesus. So that was the last Socrates speaker. This Socrates speaker, James Tour is Jewish, secular. He came to believe in Jesus in college and is just like, I mean, when he spoke about it privately, because in the event, we just talked about the science. And then our next Socrates and speaker is David Berlinski, also secular, Jewish. not a believer in Jesus. And so I'm going to talk to him about that on November 1st. And you know what, Albin, I don't know if you get this, but people email me and they're like, well, if I come to New York City,

are they requiring vaccine documents? I thought, are you kidding? Like, no, they're not. It's just like Florida at this point. I mean, I don't know what people have. You listen to the news and you you just get the idea like I'm living in Hong Kong or something like that. It's, it's, anyone can come. If you want to stay overnight at the Union League club, we can get you rooms at the Union League club. You make an evening or a weekend of it or whatever it is. But yeah, it is just like Florida too, except for the crazy governor and, you know, the weather sometimes.

Yeah, except for the evil Marxists. But no, but in all seriousness, New York is, you know, no one for many, many months has required anything. so you can go to any restaurant, any theater, whatever, I mean, whatever you want to do. But certainly South Dene City events are just like they always were. You know, there's no masks, there's no vaccines. It's just that's kind of the joy of it for me is being able to do these events. But last night's event, I don't know if I'm going to get to finish talking about it.

We'll go into the next segment. But honestly, having a conversation with this super genius about origin of life research. And again, the idea, and this is all in my book is atheism dead. But I remember meeting him four or so years ago and him clarifying to me, like, I have looked into this. And the idea that we all learned in high school or whatever it was that in 1952, there was an experiment that they kind of figured out that, you know, lightning struck a puddle four billion years ago and created life. he's saying as a chemist, like not only is that not true, but it's so clearly and obviously not true that people who are still gaslighting the world and pretending like that that's what happened need to be called out. And he has made it effectively his life's mission to clarify

to the world of chemists, organic chemists, how clearly impossible. and ridiculous this thesis is that we've all believed. It was on the test. We had to say, that's how life started four billion years ago on planet Earth. Electricity, you know, created amino acids, which fumbled themselves together into proteins combined with carbohydrates, combined with da-da-da-da-da-da, and lipids. And he's saying, like, it is demonstrably, clearly insane. We know that. The people claiming it have to themselves know that. And, But it was so entertaining. When we come back, I will, I'll give you more details.

People who had driven hours

to come to this event. They've wanted to come to Socrates and City event. They hadn't been able to New York. So they've driven here. There's a woman two hours from here. Her daughter lives in Atlanta. Her daughter flew from Atlanta to meet her mom, to drive the two hours to come to this Houston event. It was at a fancy country club last night. I met people from Houston that they said, remember 10 years ago you spoke at a pregnancy center thing or you spoke? I mean, so many wonderful people. I love coming here and being here. But I'm telling you, when we get this audio and video up of my conversation with James Tour, the guy is a riot. He's just a riot. Now, Alvin, your in-laws were there last night.

Yeah, a couple of them. My sister-in-law, Michelle, and my nephew, Andrew, were there. And they got a chance to talk to James and his wife, apparently. She sent me a text saying, oh, it's so exciting. This is great. I got a chance to talk with him. Well, it was funny because, as I always tease him, you know, I mentioned we're launching Socrates in the city books, which is an exciting thing because I, I, for me,

it's about getting a lot of this information out there. So when I wrote my book is atheism dead, I said what I've learned from James Torrey, it's not in a book. And so last night, people were coming up to me to get me to sign my book. He doesn't have a book. He's too busy, you know, creating new patents and new technologies and he didn't have a book, but people were lined up, including your in-laws to speak with him, to get a picture with him. He has online videos that are, I mean, I, one of the things that happened last night, I think it might have, yes, it was the woman from Atlanta who studied opera at Yale and her mother. Her mother said that they discovered James Tour through me and this program, which is one of the reasons we do this program. I want to introduce

my audience to these astonishing figures that I have the privilege to know, one of them's John Zmirak, another one's named James Tor, another one is named Ken Fish, and all of these wonderful people. But the mother of the woman who had flown in from Atlanta was saying that I share James Tour's videos with everyone. And if they don't share them, I'm peeved. Who is this older woman saying, my friends, I want them to get excited about this. And so James Tor, he does videos on the one hand about origin of life stuff. But then he does videos about his faith and stuff. So it just, it really was, we were just like swimming in champagne last night to be there

with all of these people who'd come just from so many different places. James Tours' wife was there and one of his four kids. His daughter was there. Obviously my daughter and my wife with it. Okay, well, if your daughter or granddaughter or the daughter of a friend, granddaughter of a friend, or a neighbor has been dreaming of a scholarship, her dream could turn into a nightmare if she's forced to compete against male athletes. Can you imagine anything stupider who are physically bigger and stronger, thanks to an executive order signed by Joe Biden supposedly pushing for equality of the sexes? This is where we are. It's that nuts. If you do not fight back against this madness. Now, look, I'm saying this because I want you to fight back by giving

to the alliance defending freedom. I don't know how else you can fight back, but they are obviously on the side of liberty. They believe that concept is wrong and insane. And by the way, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, whom I've had the privilege to meet many times, agrees with them. Let's play that clip. That particular executive order is a tremendous overreach of the federal government into the states. I will say that. I'll also say that I do believe that transgenders participating in women's sports will destroy women's sports. It will ruin the opportunity for girls to earn scholarships, and sometimes I think it's bad for women and for women's sports. Yes, and the governor is correct, of course. So ADF has gone to court against this kind of lunacy in Connecticut, in Connecticut and in other

States defending the rights of female student athletes fighting to protect their God-given rights.
