Welcome to the Eric Metaxe show.
Would you consider yourself smart, insightful, precocious, astute, clever, wise beyond your years,
and good at checking a thesaurus for synonyms?
Well, then you've come to the right place.
Here now is the handsome, attractive, striking, gorgeous, and quite frankly, breathtaking,
Eric Mat, Texas!
Folks, welcome to the program.
It is the time for me to give you an update, a super centennial update, in case you didn't
know the 250th anniversary of America will be next year. I remember the bicentennial, the 200th.
I was a kid, and it was such a huge, amazing celebration. So to think that this is the 250th,
the word for the 250th is semi-quincentennial. No one is going to say it. Nobody is going to remember it.
So I have come up with a term, which I hope catches on, because I think you need a term.
Tri-Centennial, Bicentennial, those are good terms.
Semi-Quincentennial, not a good term.
And the 150th is sesquicentennial.
No, not a good term.
The 250th, here's my term.
We should call it the supercentennial.
America is celebrating its super centennial next year,
2026, 250 years.
And so, as you may know, I'm working on a book on the American
Revolution. And I am actually next week, or no, well, yeah, I think this Sunday I'm going to be
filming something for the White House. They're producing a number of videos for the 250th.
And they've asked me, since I'm writing this book on The Revolution, to speak in this video
about the Battle of Long Island, which is the Battle of Brooklyn, which happened August 27th, 1776.
and then also to speak about what happened five months later,
the crossing of the Delaware,
the Battle of Trenton, this triumphant moment.
So I've been working on those chapters in my book,
and there's so much there.
Oh, my goodness.
And so the question is where to start?
Well, I think I've spoken about the Battle of Long Island,
the Battle of Brooklyn on the program.
But what happens following that,
just so you know. So this is August 27th, 1776. Washington's, he has no clue how to defend New York.
New York is basically indefensible. New York is surrounded by water. It is, you know, an archipelago.
It is just everywhere you go, there's water, water, water, water, whether you're on the Brooklyn side,
whether you're on Manhattan, whether you're on Staten Island, wherever you are, water, water, water.
If you're going up against the greatest Navy the world has ever seen, you've got problems.
And General Howe and his brother Admiral Howe, they have 400 ships.
There's no way to do this.
You're defending the indefensible.
So nonetheless, Mayor, General Washington deputizes Charles Lee initially, General Lee and Israel Putnam to create fortifications all over the place.
So they create fortifications at the base of New York, which was where the city was,
and the bottom part of Manhattan, to create fortifications all through Brooklyn everywhere.
You know, they're hoping they can lure the British into another battle of Bunker Hill,
so they're going to attack us and we're going to mow them down.
Of course, that doesn't happen.
General Howe outflanks the American forces on Long Island, which is the base of Long Island,
which is Brooklyn, routes them and they make a miraculous escape across the East River.
Now, when I say miraculous, I mean genuinely miraculous where God is involved.
At least that's my take on it.
But we don't need to get into that right now.
But that is the most extraordinary thing that you have, General Washington's forces are utterly routed.
about 9,000 men are trapped in Brooklyn.
There is a, there are a mile and a half from the British lines.
Now, General Howe, everybody wonders why didn't General Howell tell his officers to finish the job,
to go after the Americans, and to finish the job to get them to surrender?
the war would have been over then August 27th or maybe August 28th,
but it would have been over.
There's little doubt about that.
But why didn't how do it?
How didn't do it because of the Battle of Bunker Hill?
He had been there.
He had led the troops.
He had seen them mowed down.
He'd walked through the blood and the gore and the nightmare and said,
I don't want that again.
There's no need.
There's no need.
We've got them trapped.
We're going to win.
That's not a question.
So why do I need to send British troops into this maw of death?
I will not.
And so they surround them, and he decides to lay a siege.
And so his British troops start to dig trenches toward the American lines.
They're going to lay in a siege, just like what happened in Yorktown in 1781,
except at that point, Washington was the one laying the siege on Cornwallis.
But they thought there's no need for us to go in.
and get mowed down. We're just kind of, we've got them trapped. It's over. We've got our ships
in able to come up the East River and to trap them on the water side and the East River.
So they're done. Long story short, it didn't go that way. A storm comes up. It prevents the ships
from sailing up the East River. The Washington basically says at the sometimes,
on the 28th, or was the 29th, the 29th, we need to read the thing to talk about retreat,
but he says we need to retreat if possible. And so he gets the Marblehead regiment. This is John Glover's
regiment. Now Marblehead is on the coast in Massachusetts, North Shore of Boston. These were
seasoned fishermen and sailors, and they row the troops across
the East River, the mile-wide East River all through the night.
At dawn, we got big problems because there are many that are still stranded.
A fog comes in that is utterly opaque.
This is one of the miracles of history.
It may as well have been midnight because the British could see absolutely nothing
and the Americans are able to get every last man across.
and it really was an unbelievable retreat.
Now I'm giving you the quick version of it.
But what happens after this, of course, is more disasters.
The British don't really move very quickly.
At some point, the Americans are still on Manhattan.
And this is where you start to see the limits of George Washington.
He's indecisive.
He's not perfect.
but he's the man God chose.
And I see this as a lesson to all of us that it's not about who's the best.
It's about who does God choose.
God sees the heart and God chooses Washington to be the leader despite his
inabilities.
And is this the 10-minute segment?
This is the opening segment?
Yeah, sorry, for a second.
I was like to think of a good.
So basically Washington is, he decides to listen to General Nathaniel Green, who advises, let's keep Fort Washington.
This is at the northern part of Manhattan.
If you ever see the George Washington Bridge, the part of the George Washington Bridge that is touching Manhattan, that's about where Fort Washington was.
It was a high point in northern Manhattan.
and I think that Washington decides to keep 5,000 men there to hold the fort.
And the question is why it didn't make any sense.
But he listens to Nathaniel Green.
Of course, it's his fault.
He didn't need to listen to Green, but he's like, okay, he goes across the Hudson and from the Palisades,
from the Jersey side with his telescope, he sees a nightmare.
He sees the British take Fort Washington, in many cases, murder the men as they're surrendering, not accept them as prisoners.
It's so wicked.
It's so sick.
And there's a moment where it says Washington wept.
His officer said he wept like a child.
He wept like a child to watch what he knew he was responsible for.
It's just, it's such a chilling moment.
All right, we'll leave it there. We'll be right back.

Hey, get rhythm.

When you get the blues.
Welcome back.
Folks, I get to talk to my friend, and maybe yours, Ken Fish.
Ken, welcome back.
Thanks for having me back, Eric.
It's good to be with you.
Well, I'm not doing you any favors.
I like, I enjoy talking to you.
time I talk to you. I enjoy it. We learn things. You travel so much, so it gets confusing for me.
You have just now, actually the headline, you're doing in the Nashville area a conference in October.
Give us the details on that before I get, we get in talking about all kinds of other stuff.
Absolutely. The upcoming conference is October 8 to 11.
October 8 to 11.
The suburb of Nashville is Franklin, but it's the Nashville area.
That'd be the airport you'd use if you're flying in.
And we're going to be at Bethel World Outreach Church.
The name of the conference is Illumination, subtitle, Light the World.
And we're going to be talking about lighting the world with the light of Jesus.
But we're also going to have an interesting theme woven into it that deals with human weakness, sorrow,
suffering and how the light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.
And so, you know, we're aware that there are people who have challenges in their lives.
And while I love to talk about the miraculous works of God, the healings and more,
there is always those, that group of people who it's not working for them, at least not yet.
And a lot of people do ultimately find breakthroughs and touches from God.
So we're going to have some conversation around the challenges of life as well as the victories that we that we find in the Lord.
Okay. Before I get into some stuff with you, what is the website for that conference?
Yeah, if people want to sign up, they can do so today at kingdom illumination.org.
Singular. Singular. Kingdom illumination.
That's right. Exactly.
Dot org.
Okay, kingdomillumination.org.
Okay, folks, everything is there, so we don't have to repeat it over and over.
Kingdomillumination.org.
Okay, Ken, I had somebody right into the program recently.
You know, we do ask metaxes, people writing their questions.
And I interviewed somebody Beatty Carmichael, who does a lot of the stuff that you do.
He's really systematized this thing of, you know, going through an inventory.
he's published a book where you go, you do an inventory in your life and you go over things and you
think, is there something, oh yeah, maybe there's just somebody who I harbor a hatred against
or I have to pray a prayer of forgiveness or whatever. And it's the standard idea that I have learned
from you and others that we can give place in our lives to the enemy. If there's
unforgiveness in my life, I'm providing a landing strip, a legal landing strip for a demonic entity. I'm
saying, come on down. You can land right here because there's this unconfessed sin or unforgiveness or
whatever it is. And I think you've talked about this over the decades. I've talked about it.
There are people at bristle at that idea. They say, wait a minute, wait a minute. You're saved.
The Holy Spirit comes in. You're sealed. It's.
It's done, you're done.
That can't happen.
Well, you just said, Eric, can't happen.
And it seems clear to me that it can happen and does happen.
And you have observed that, people that if you ask them, do they believe in Jesus?
They absolutely believe in Jesus.
They pray.
They read the Bible.
But unbeknownst to them, there is a landing strip.
There's a place where they have given access.
So that's biblical.
But why do you suppose people,
bristle at that.
They kind of act like,
no, no, no, once I'm saved, it's over.
Like, I'm done.
Like, the enemy can't touch me.
You know, there's a lot of teaching
that has been promulgated
through the years. It's primarily coming
from Protestant,
Calvinist traditions, not
exclusively, but primarily,
that once you're saved,
it's all done, which is what you just said.
It's interesting, though,
why then would Paul the Apostles say in Ephesians 427, neither give place to the devil?
And then he goes on and he says, let him that stole steal no more, but rather let him labor working with his hands,
the thing which is good that he may have to give to him who is in need.
And let no corrupt communication proceed from out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edification.
I'm reading from the King James, because that's what popped up when I googled it.
as I began answering your question.
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God.
So it seems like Paul is enumerating three places.
I don't think this is an exhaustive list, but it's representative,
three places or three means or three ways by which people can actually give place to the devil.
And I think sometimes people think, well, I mean, you're just like, I don't know,
it's not like you're opening doors to demons, you're just like giving the devil a foothold.
But the devil does most of his work through his lieutenants, just as God does most of his work through us and angels.
And so why would this be different?
And so what I've learned through the years is that when there's demonic problems, demons like to attach to sin of some kind.
But we need to talk for a second about that.
And I'm not going to go into a deep dive here.
I'll just kind of skim the tops of the waves.
But there's one word for sin in the Bible that means sin that I didn't even know was wrong.
It's like, you know, I was a non-saved person and I got drunk all the time or I slept with my girlfriend.
Well, of course you did because this is what people do when they're unsafe.
You didn't even know it was wrong.
When you get saved, you become sensitive to that and you're like, oh, you shouldn't be doing that.
Then there's a second category of sin, which is I knew darn well this was wrong, but I did it.
Anyway, David would be a good example of this with Bathsheba.
He had the Ten Commandments.
He even wrote Psalms talking about how wonderful God's law was, and yet he committed adultery,
and then he committed murder.
And by the way, there's a third of the Ten Commandments that he violated as well,
which is, you shall not covet neither your neighbor's ox nor your neighbor's wife.
Well, he apparently was coveting Bathsheba.
So David had three strikes, and as we say, you're out.
David committed transgression. By the way, transgression can also be failing to do the good, which God commands us to do, because, well, we don't feel like it. Or it might be embarrassing, say, to go make amends with somebody or whatever. And then there's a third category which deals with generational iniquity. I know a lot of people bristle at this one, too, but hey, Ezra prayed about the iniquity of his fathers. Nehemiah prayed about the
iniquity of his fathers. Daniel prayed about the iniquity of his fathers, and we could say mothers
here also. And so it seems to be a pattern that runs through biblical literature, but it's just
often overlooked in our preaching and teaching. It's even in the New Testament, because in John
9, there's a man who was born blind, and the disciples say to Jesus, master, did this man sin,
or did his parents sin that he would be born blind?
They were thinking about this tradition, this teaching that was prominent in Judaism of
iniquity coming down to us.
Jesus' answer to them is not, what a ridiculous idea.
Iniquity doesn't count.
Instead, he says, well, actually, in this specific case, neither one happened.
That man obviously didn't sin.
He was too young to sin when he was born blind.
And neither in this case did his parents sin causing his blindness.
By the way, parenthetically, yes, his parents did sin, because all of sin.
and fallen short of the glory of God.
But whatever sin they committed wasn't the proximate cause of this man's blindness.
Jesus goes on to say, in this case, this man's blindness was allowed to happen in order that
God's glory would be revealed, and then Jesus heals the blind man.
So we have these three categories.
I didn't know it was wrong.
I knew it was wrong.
I did it anyway.
And then I inherited something from my forefathers and foremothers.
I didn't even know really about it until I became aware of it.
Any or all of these could be entry points for people who come into trouble with demonic entities.
Okay, so the idea is that you can be saved, you can accept Jesus, he comes to live inside you, but, I mean, the third one, it's a fascinating concept.
And you and I, we've talked about this a lot.
the idea that something that your parents or an ancestor did,
which can somehow still be attached to you,
you just referred to that.
That's the third of the things you referred to.
You know, that's biblical.
Now, it doesn't mean it's so easy to understand,
but folks, the point is there may be something in your family line.
Maybe your grandfather was a high-level,
Mason or this stuff attaches through the generations.
But people get very weird about that.
And they're like, man, I don't, it's just sort of, this is just reality.
Maybe your your ancestors did something with the occult.
Now, if you get saved, it seems to me, you now have the privilege of dealing with this,
of ending it with your generation.
But you don't have to.
You can allow it to hang.
out there, but God invites you to do that. When we come back, we're going to talk about more,
how to do that. If you want to know more about the upcoming October 8th through 11th conference

Welcome back talking to Ken Fitz. All right, Ken, we're talking about this stuff that, I mean,
I confess, when I first heard this, it's a little confusing. You know, you say, well, wait,
what do you mean? I'm a Christian. God is working in my life, but you're telling me that, you know, my parents played with a Ouija board and maybe I need to deal with that. Maybe that's attached itself to me.
And people say, where does it say that in Scripture? The Scripture doesn't say anything about Ouija boards. You know, it's people sometimes have a very simplistic view. And they, the fact is that, you know, we're called.
to live out our faith, and sometimes it gets a little complicated.
So it'll always be biblical, but it doesn't mean the scripture is going to spell out every little thing for us.
So in the Bible, it actually forbids divination, and Ouija boards are a form of divination.
It also forbids sorcery, and the difference between divination and sorcery is oftentimes sorcery will involve some kind of an object, in this case, a Ouija board.
I remember praying with a woman in the state of South Australia, and yes, it is in the south of the country, but it is actually one of their states, just as we have a South Dakota and a South Carolina.
She was in the state of South Australia, and she had come down with melanoma in the eye.
She had had her retina surgically removed because of the melanoma, and they had sewn a nuclear patch into her eye.
and left it there for, as I remember, it was 10 days, maybe it was two weeks, but not overly long, but more than a day or so.
And they'd sewn this nuclear patch in, then they'd removed it.
The melanoma appeared to have been killed off, and so she was blind in that eye, but her life was spared.
And she came for prayer to be healed of her blindness.
Now, medically, this is impossible.
I already said her retina had been removed surgically.
And this was in Australia.
It's a Western nation.
We're not even talking, you know, third world medicine kind of stuff.
So anyway, as we began praying with her, and I'm condensing the story heavily here for purposes of keeping this manageable, I saw a man in blue jeans with suspenders over a plaid shirt standing on what appeared to be kind of a low dikees.
a mound of earth that ran down between a couple of fields.
And in his hand was a divining rod, which is shaped like a Y,
and people use it for what they call sometimes dowsing, D-O-W.
Hang on a second.
Do you mean you actually saw this or you saw it in your mind?
It was in my mind.
It was a vision.
Okay, no, I want to be clear because I thought, you know,
it's Australia, maybe you actually saw this.
So you're praying for this woman, utterly blind,
retina has been removed, and you see a vision in your mind, say it again, of a man holding a dousing rod, a divining rod.
That's it. Yeah. And he had a particular red plaid shirt. We've all seen these shirts. It's what farmers wear. And he had suspenders over it, and he had blue jeans on. And she said, well, that'd be my grandfather. He was a farmer in this area. And we used a lot of water to irrigate.
the crops because that part of South Australia is very dry.
And so you're-
Forgive me, forgive me, but people are going to kill me because I keep interrupting.
But I just want to be clear.
So you're praying for the woman.
You see this vision.
You share this with her.
And she says, oh, that's my grandfather.
That's right.
And she had to be because, because, A, he was, this person I saw,
I was dressed the way he always dressed.
You know, farmers don't tend to change their clothes every day into different outfits.
because they're working people.
They're out in the fields.
They're getting their hands dirty.
You just put on clothes that suit the purpose.
Maybe they have different clothes for in town, but when they're out in the fields, no.
In addition, the fields that her grandfather tended, there were these little dikes between the various fields,
and you walk on those dikes in order not to tread down the crops that are growing in the irrigated areas.
So she immediately knew what I was talking about.
and she said, yeah, that'd be my grandfather.
I said, well, he's got a divining rod in his hand.
He's engaging in divination.
She started crying.
She said, oh, no, no, my grandfather would never do that.
He was a godly man.
He was a Presbyterian man, and he went to church.
And I said, well, all I can tell you is what I'm seeing.
And she said, oh, my gosh, yeah, he did do that.
I remember him doing that, but I never knew this was wrong.
there we go, category one of sin that I described.
I never knew it was wrong.
Maybe he never knew it was wrong.
Why?
Well, because churches often don't preach every part of the Bible.
There are certain parts they tend to emphasize more.
And why would we need to preach about divination anyway?
Well, because farmers might be doing it is the answer,
but nobody apparently thought of that.
Or if they were teaching on it, maybe they didn't do very often.
Maybe he missed that day.
Or maybe he did hear it.
And he was like, I don't care I'm going to do it anyway, in which case it would have crossed from being innocent sin, or no sin is truly innocent, but you get what I mean, to transgression.
But whatever, she knew he had done this. She'd seen him doing it. I said, all right, let's pray about that.
So we prayed about it. We broke the power of a spirit of divination that had come down from her grandfather to her.
and she was healed, and it took about three hours for the total healing to come through.
But long story short, when it was over, she could see perfectly out of an eye that had had the retina surgically removed,
and she could see in living color, perfect vision, and had full field of view 180 degrees of peripheral vision.
All right, now you're just making this stuff up, Ken. Come on. Nobody believes that. Ladies and gentlemen,
I believe it.
But it's hard to believe.
It's so wonderful.
It's so amazing when we come back.
More of this kind of stuff, you can go to kingdom illumination.
org if you want to join Ken October 8th in the Nashville area.

Welcome back, talking to my friend, Ken Fish, which is easy to spell.
Ken Fish.
Okay, Ken Fish, you've just shared a story.
I've never heard you tell this one before.
when was this how many years ago roughly?
Maybe six or seven years ago.
It was a little bit of COVID.
It's just an amazing thing to me
because I've really not seen anything like this,
but you're my friend.
I know you don't make this stuff up.
And there are a lot of people.
I've never seen anything like this.
They haven't been around this.
So they don't even believe that it's possible.
But I know you.
This is real.
You prayed for this woman.
And she was
miraculously healed of blindness.
I think there many people think,
like I just don't think that stuff happens anymore.
You see it happen all the time.
I think the frustration is that the media doesn't cover this.
So we kind of act like,
well, I live in a world where everybody knows
that stuff doesn't happen.
You're saying it does.
That's correct.
And what I didn't say before we took the break
is I had somebody help
helping me pray for her. And that somebody happens to be a very prominent physician in Australia,
very well known in the medical community. And at that time, she and her children, and sometimes
her husband as well, would travel with me when I was ministering in that country. And so she was
there. I was on the woman's left as we prayed. She was on the woman's right. She was literally
at arm's length watching this entire healing unfold.
And what are the, you know, what are the details?
In other words, you're praying for somebody like this.
She has renounced this spirit of divination, you know, officially doing.
Now, again, there are a lot of people, just to be clear, they would say, like, why does she
have to renounce it?
It was her grandfather.
Well, you're just saying, practically speaking, this is how it works, folks.
What can we tell you?
We're not making this up.
It's a biblical idea that these curses and things can follow you through generations.
And then God invites us to say the buck stops here.
I'm a Christian.
I want to pray.
I want to end that.
So while you're praying, because this is the kind of stuff that fascinates me, this granular detail, you said the whole process ultimately took three hours.
What happens initially?
you're praying with a couple of other people,
with a medical doctor also praying right next to you.
How initially does this manifest itself?
Does the woman say I feel something or what is happening?
Okay, so first thing I did was I had her confess her grandfather's sin
as if it were her own,
even though she had nothing to do with it because she wasn't born.
Now, a lot of times people stumble over this,
and it's a peculiarly western perspective,
because if you go to say any of the Asian nations,
you go to any of the African nations,
there's a very clear understanding that we are family
and what our ancestors did,
we are somehow linked to that,
and they are still linked to us.
Now, the bad form of that is when people worship their ancestors,
but we're not talking about worshipping ancestors.
what we are talking about, and this is contemplated in Scripture, although it maybe isn't stated
quite this way, it talks about how Melchizedek, tithes were paid to Melchizedek by Abraham,
and the scripture makes the case later on in Hebrews that tithes were paid on behalf of those
who would be coming out of Abraham's loins, because they were present in his loins, even
if they weren't yet born.
This is not the way we think in Western society,
but it is the way the two-thirds world thinks.
And so when we run into conditions like this,
it's that same idea, but it's the negative.
In the case of Abraham, it's a positive thing.
We're paying ties to Melchizedek,
and there's a benefit that flows down from that.
Well, similarly, when people engage in these certain types of sins,
the iniquitous route travels down through the bloodline,
and this is what demonic spirits can attach to.
They don't always, and it's not completely clear why they sometimes do and other times don't.
But when it comes to things like divination, it's more often than not.
For sure, it's more often than not.
Anyway, so we pray for this woman.
I have her confess the sin as if it's her own.
Jesus said that we have the authority to forgive sins in his name in John 20, verse 23.
It's actually the last thing he gave the apostles before his ascension after his resurrection.
He said, if you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven.
So I said, in the name of Jesus, I forgive you in your grandfather's bloodline, that this sin would be commuted.
Again, I have no power to forgive sin at all.
I'm simply using the language that we see in scripture.
And some people, by the way, would say, well, that was given to the apostles.
Yes, but Jesus told the apostles to teach all the disciples.
to teach all disciples everywhere to carry out what he had commanded them to do,
which included healing and deliverance,
but that would presumably include this amazing gift that is spoken of in John 20, verse 23.
I don't think we hand this out like, you know, Reese's peanut buttercups at Halloween,
but this is for people who are genuinely serious and penitent,
and they realize their family has committed some wrongdoing.
So, anyway, now that.
she's confessed that we broke the power of the spirits that were attached to that iniquitous root
and initially she could she started to see light and that was nearly immediate um but it was it was only
black and white and there was no imagery at all it was fuzzy and hazy and then as we prayed further
the black and white fuzzy hazy became clearer and clearer and then as we prayed further she
began to get peripheral vision because initially it was in a tunnel and so it opened up and
again, she could see 180 degrees, but it wasn't color. Well, we ran out of time after about two hours.
We had to do the evening service. And so we got up from the room where we were meeting for prayer.
She went into the sanctuary, as did the doctor and I. And I preached the evening service. And while the service was underway, the Lord turned on the color ability. And she walked up to me at the end of the service. And she said, I can see perfectly out of my left eye in full.
color and it matches what I see in my right eye.
That's how it happened.
And you're saying that a doctor had removed her retina.
Surgically removed the retina.
Did she not go back to that doctor just to blow that doctor's mind?
I don't know what she did because she was in a...
People never do.
This is what makes me insane.
I get so angry.
Like for the love of Pete, ladies and jump.
People like, I didn't care.
Well, maybe, you know, oh, we'll be right back talking to
Ken Fish, you can find him at kingdomillumination.org.
Ken Fish.
All right, Ken, we're talking about some amazing stuff.
Anything else along these lines?
Well, one time I was in Uganda for a conference where I was the speaker,
and I bumped into a man whom I knew, and he looked terrible.
And I said, are you okay?
And he said, actually, no, I shouldn't be here.
My wife and my intercessors all begged me not to come.
they said, if I came, I probably would be coming home in a coffin. I said, well, what are you doing here?
And he said, I just felt like I needed to be here. And my health has been declining. It's been terrible
for a number of months and kind of on the decline curve. And I said, can I pray for you? He said,
sure. I put my hand on his shoulder and I immediately saw a map of Italy. Now, it wasn't a very
detailed map, but I know the outline of Italy and any basic student of geography knows it.
looks like a boot. And so I took out a napkin. We were meeting in the lobby of the hotel. I took out a
paper cocktail napkin. I got out a pen and I drew a very rudimentary sketch of the map of Italy.
I put a dot above where the heel of the boot would be. And I said, does this spot in Italy mean
anything to you? And he says, yes, it does. He said, my grandfather was from that part of Italy,
that exact area you drew on this napkin.
Interesting.
I said, is there any story behind your grandfather?
He said, well, actually, yes.
He murdered a man with a shotgun and fled to the United States.
I said, oh, that's an interesting story.
Now, there's a whole thing behind that I won't go into,
but the Bible speaks of the Avenger of Blood in the Old Testament.
As it turned out, this man's father, well, this man's grandfather,
father, this man's father, and this man's brother, all three of them had been murdered with shotguns
later on. I said, there's the Avenger of Blood working. And I could detail each of those three
stories, but I'm trying to keep this brief. So I said, we need to have you confess the sin of
murder that your grandfather committed. He did. I broke the power of this thing on him.
him. He manifested very dramatically. We drove these demons out, and he immediately felt better. His color
returned, and he did fine through the rest of the conference, flew home, and he's still alive today,
and he's doing great. He's actually, I'm not serious about this. I'm being facetious, but he sent me a lot of
business. He's given his testimony for him. A lot of people have looked me up because of this particular
healing of this guy.
Well, I mean, another example of this iniquitous problem.
Well, when you say he began manifesting, I think there are a lot of people that have no
idea what you're talking about.
What you mean is when the power of God comes upon someone like this and they have been
oppressed by demonic spirits, those spirits reveal themselves.
And so it's kind of like, you know, it doesn't need to be like the exorcist.
But the point is stuff happens.
You know, there's coughing, shrieking, screaming, whatever it is as these things come out.
Now, this guy was a Christian.
That's correct. He's a Christian leader, very prominent Christian leader from the upper
Midwest of the United States.
Okay, and he's walking around with this garbage in him. He doesn't know.
He happens to bump into you. You pray for him. And by the grace of God, it gets dealt with.
That's right.
And there are people that say, well, he was obviously not a Christian. And you're telling me,
no, no, no, he was a Christian. He just did not have a clue.
that his grandfather who committed murder somehow that this attaches to him. Now, it doesn't mean
he was possessed folks. He was still a saved Christian. This is so fascinating. Ken, we're at a time
for today. But the good news is there are other days. Ladies and gentlemen, if you want to reach Ken,
he is at Orbis Ministries. That's ORBIS. OrBIS Ministries. OrBIS Ministries. Orabis Ministries.
And I mentioned the conference coming up, October 8th through 11th, Kingdomillumination.org.
That's kingdomillumination.org.
