Welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show.
Did you like your gravy thick and rich and loaded with creamy mushrooms?
If no one was looking, would you chug the whole gravy boat?
Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug.
Stay tuned.
Here comes Mr. Chugelag himself, Eric Mat, Texas.
Folks, welcome back.
I continued talking about the American Revolution.
I'm working on a book about the American Revolution.
Revolution. And I'm right now writing about that part that happens at the end of 1776,
the year. I mentioned about the Battle of Long Island, this horrible route that happens on August
27, 1776. But genuinely, miraculously, Washington's army is able to retreat across the East
River. It makes no sense. It makes no sense that General Howe didn't order.
them to be crushed when they had the opportunity. Or I shouldn't say it makes no sense. It makes
very little sense. He has his excuses. But what makes no sense is that Admiral, is that General Howe does not
order the ships to come up the East River to trap Washington's army on the Brooklyn side. For some
reason, General Howe does not do that. It's a whole complicated story. But the bottom
line is eventually
Washington
chooses to take
the advice of Nathaniel Green
to take a stand
or at least to have a number of
probably about 5,000 troops,
I think, if I remember,
Washington goes across
the Hudson
with a number of other
troops.
And through his spyglass,
he watches the horror
of what happens.
It's hard to even write about.
But the Hessians and the British take Fort Washington.
They kill so many Americans.
And Washington, and this is kind of the point here,
George Washington is on.
He is, I mean, I just drove down from Connecticut yesterday
and past the very spot where I look across the Hudson.
if you're coming down the west side highway and you look across just for you get to the
George Washington Bridge up there and you look across to the palisades, those cliffs.
George Washington was there with his spyglass looking across.
And I mentioned this.
The forces are routed at Fort Washington.
And he's watching this from across the Hudson River through his spyglass.
and his aides said that he wept like a child.
And I just want to be clear that Washington,
he knew he was responsible for these deaths
and the agony of watching men being killed
as a result of his failure,
it must have just ripped his heart out.
And that was like the low point.
except it continues to be bad.
So this is through the fall of,
I don't remember exactly what date that was.
Maybe that was like around November 1st.
I'm not remembering now, but when this happens,
basically Washington begins his retreat through the jerseys,
his retreat from Fort Lee, New Jersey.
that's on the other side of the George Washington Bridge.
Today it's called Fort Lee, New Jersey.
It's a city, but it was named after General Charles Lee,
who was the second in command under Washington,
and there was a fort that's on the Washington,
I'm sorry, on the Jersey side of what today where the Washington Bridge is,
they were chased from there by Cornwallis,
and they took this long retreat through,
this would be from November 20th onward,
south through New Jersey.
Now the goal, of course, Washington's goal,
was to retreat and retreat and retreat,
to keep the British occupied,
but never to fully engage,
because he knows in a regular engagement,
we're going to get killed.
Our army is down to nothing.
I mean, he was down to like 3,000 men,
and they were not trained as the British were trained.
he also kept waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for Charles Lee, General Charles Lee,
who was up in, I think it was Poughkeepsie, White Plains.
He was kind of hanging out up there with something like 6,000 men.
Washington keeps writing to him and saying, are you going to join me?
Come on.
Come on.
I need you.
I need you.
I need you.
But Washington, and this is interesting to see how leaders grow, he was the commander in chief,
but he was overly deferential to Charles Lee.
Charles Lee was his second in command,
but he was overly deferential.
So he did not harshly order him to come.
He kind of left it a little bit in Charles Lee's hands
to discern do I feel like I should come or not.
But he's more and more urgent in his letters.
And Charles Lee dithers and dithers and kind of really what it boils down to.
And this is part of, I mean, this is the joy of writing this book
is to get into these stories.
But Charles Lee knew in many ways, hey, I'm a better general than Washington.
Maybe I'll let Washington fail and Congress will put me in as the commander-in-chief of the armies.
Why do I want to be associated with his failure?
So I'm going to hang back.
So he hangs back.
He gives all kinds of excuses.
He's attacking Cornwallis's troops from the rear.
You know, he's doing something.
But the bottom line is he's being insubordinate.
And Washington is meanwhile retreating through the jerseys.
Every time he crosses a river, he's in Newark, the Raritan River.
Every time they're crossing a river as they're going southward toward the Pennsylvania border,
the Pennsylvania border with New Jersey is the Delaware River.
They're basically wanting to stay between Philadelphia and the Army.
They want to protect Philadelphia because the Continental Congress is.
in Philadelphia.
So that's Washington's general direction.
He keeps asking for help from Charles Lee.
Charles Lee doesn't help, doesn't help.
Eventually, Washington gets down to the Delaware.
And this is not the famous crossing of the Delaware that follows.
But he eventually makes the retreat across the Delaware to Pennsylvania,
to Pennsylvania.
So he's now in Pennsylvania.
and General Howe kind of decides, I guess it's around December 14th.
You know what?
Maybe we'll go into winter quarters.
Maybe we're done with our campaign, 1776.
You know, it's been a decent year for us.
We will crush them in the new year right now.
And it was the habit of 18th century armies that, you know, they take the winter off.
They're going to regroup.
So General Howe is he'll go back to Manhattan since New York was under the command of the British at that time.
He'll take up with his mistress, Mrs. Loring.
Of course he was married, but he had a mistress.
Everybody knew about it.
This gets to the larger picture of how openly immoral the British elites were.
This was totally accepted.
And Cornwallis will get on a ship.
He's one of the rare British generals who actually loved his wife.
He wants to go back to his wife in London for the winter.
And this is when Washington makes his decision.
And Washington says, I believe one bold stroke against the enemy will be a shot in the arm to the whole continental army.
The people who are going to leave December 31st because their enlistments run out.
Maybe they'll stay.
We need to have a victory.
And that's when he cooks up the brilliant plan to cross the Delaware back over under the cover of night, Christmas night, to cross the Delaware.
On Christmas night, they cross the Delaware over to the New Jersey side.
They march nine miles through the dark to Trenton.
They surprise the Hessians who never saw it coming.
They have an amazing victory.
there's much more to the story, but I'll tell you it's a beautiful story.
It's a privilege that I have to write the story.
There's all kinds of beautiful moments and pieces to it and characters that come in and out of the story.
But it was the 26th of December, gigantic victory just before the end of the year 1776.
That keeps hope alive.
It's such a beautiful story.
Such a beautiful story.
Anyway, that's your supercentennial segment or segments for the week.
When we come back, who knows?

Folks, welcome back. I have the fun of being friends with a guy named Ken Fish, not to be confused with my guest right now who's not that much fun.
You're the other Ken Fish. Ken, welcome back.
Thanks, Eric. It's great to be.
Okay, listen, no, it's just a joy to talk to you whether on the air, off the air,
because you're such a fount of fascinating stories and truth.
And it's always fun.
The headline for now is that you're doing a conference in the Nashville area, Franklin, Tennessee, October 8th through 11th.
People can find the details at kingdom illumination.org.
And did you say to me that people get a discount code if they're watching this show and they put in Eric, there's a discount code?
That's correct.
What kind of a discount are we talking about?
$20 off.
Okay, folks, how easy is that?
You type Eric into this kind of code to get $20 off.
All right.
Kingdomillumination.org Bethel World Outreach Church October 8 through 11th.
That's the headline.
But it's not even the headline.
We're going to talk about all kinds of stuff.
But you're particularly thoughtful, Ken, about what it is that you do.
Because a lot of people, maybe they have experience with deliverance or praying for healing.
But you bring an uncommon level of thoughtfulness to it, which I really appreciate.
Because I think there are a lot of people that are put off by it, not by thoughtfulness, by this kind of stuff.
and they need to be helped to understand, is this real?
Or, you know, what am I to make of it and stuff?
So you said something about your thinking along these lines,
why you named this conference illumination.
I know we've touched on this in previous shows,
but you just did a conference recently with a different name.
Right.
So illumination is the third in a series of,
of three, I don't know, maybe there'll be a fourth, but at the moment I don't contemplate that.
A series of three that started two years ago with a conference called fusion.
Last year, we had called it ignition this year's illumination.
All of this language, and these are unusual titles, I admit, for a Christian event,
all of this language is coming out of developments in the field of physics.
specifically fusion physics, which is when they take the nuclei of hydrogen atoms, they fuse them together, and great quantities of energy are released.
So the first conference was called fusion, and the subtitle was when prophecy and miracles converge.
And there was a whole logic behind that that I could go into, but I'll skip it for the moment unless you want to come back to it.
but anyway that was what we were after at that conference we saw i would say remarkable demonstrations
of the gift of prophecy as well as remarkable healings and as an example somebody in the crowd
had had a lifelong condition um with sciatica that nothing seemed to touch and it was
utterly debilitating the person was called out from the stage i wasn't the one ministering at that
moment and they were healed without anyone even laying hands on them, the power of God hit them,
and they were fine. Last year, we went to the title Ignition, and this is because of a development
in the field of physics that allowed for fusion to occur, but actually more energy was coming out
than was going in. Now, this almost sounds like the perpetual motion machine, but it is actually
occurring in the field of physics. You could Google the term ignition, and you would see a whole
series of news articles. The first instance of ignition occurred at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, east of San
Francisco. But since then, it's gone worldwide, and the French are doing it, the British are doing it.
The Koreans were the first to hit a major milestone where a sustained fusion reaction went for 45 minutes.
And it's not clear.
Where is the energy coming from?
That I don't get.
It's coming from the fusing of hydrogen nuclei into helium nuclei.
And there are immense quantities of energy released.
And there's so much energy released that it's producing more energy than is necessary to run the machine.
So there's still a net positive energy flux.
Now, again, I'm simply by the language.
Yeah, you haven't helped me at all.
Could this lead to having as much energy as we want?
Is that the implication?
Yes, that's where things are headed.
And in fact, this last weekend, as you and I are recording this, just this past weekend,
just a couple days ago, we did an Ignition Northwest conference because one of the
prophecies that came forth at our second conference called Ignition, James Gall,
who's a reasonably well-known prophetic minister,
actually very well-known, reasonably he doesn't do it justice.
James Gall said there's going to be an ignition on the West Coast and on the East Coast.
Well, we don't have the East Coast one planned right now,
but anyway, somebody in the Northwest contacted me and said,
can we host an ignition conference?
So we did that this weekend.
And do you know what?
When I was there, somebody walked up to me and said,
do you know they're building a fusion reactor in Seattle in order to power the city? I said, I hadn't
heard that. And he said, yeah, it's gotten that far. People are putting big dollars into building these
kinds of reactors because this will effectively solve the energy crisis. It's clean energy. It only
takes water to run it, a particular kind of water known as heavy water. And to anyone who knows
anything about nuclear science, they would immediately recognize what heavy water is. It involves an
isotope of hydrogen. Anyway, they take that hydrogen and they fuse it and you get so much energy
released. You can take some off and power the reactor to keep the cycle going. But there's enough
left over that you can light the grid. And so now that ignition is, I would say, moving towards
commercialization. It's not quite there yet. This third conference is called Illumination,
light the world. And this is about really, and we're letting the natural be indicative or speak of
the invisible realm. There's a massive outpouring of the spirit going on all over the world.
People are coming to faith all over the planet in huge numbers. Of course this isn't being
reported in the media. Why would they care? And in fact, Paul even talks about how none of the
rulers of this age even took notice of, you know, Jesus and his ministry. And,
So the outpouring that's going on, for example, it's being reported, I don't know if this is exactly correct, but it'll certainly be in the correct range.
In Iran, about half the population of Iran is Christian right now.
And we all know what the political problems are in Iran.
And most of those converts, most of those believers in Iran, they're under the age of 30.
And so there's this explosion of Christian conversion going on in Iran, same in China.
and in multiple parts of the world.
I could tell different stories here and there,
but bottom line is this is happening.
And so we're going to talk about after you get fusion
where prophecy and miracles converge,
and you find sustainability in your spiritual life
and in the various disciplines that go with being a servant of the Lord,
now we actually might be able to carry something forward
that has to do with the completion of the Great Commission.
You know, it's interesting, too.
Just a couple weeks ago, I was in Athens for a conference called Jerusalem Council 2,
and the focus of that conference was, complete the Great Commission.
I was invited to go to it, but we had the name Illumination well before Jerusalem Council 2 was announced.
And so our language is different, but our intent.
intent is much the same, but we're trying to do it with the power of the Holy Spirit, which includes
both miraculous things as well as the prophetic. So let's go back to what happened last weekend
when I was up in the Northwest. Yes, somebody told me they were building a fusion reactor in Seattle,
but we had a display of prophecy that broke out from the stage, and there were 26 prophetic words,
very specific, detailed prophetic words given, every single one of them was correct.
If you don't think that didn't create a level of both excitement, and I would say a reverential
fear of the Lord, that God really does know every single thing about us, you would be grossly
mistaken. And so we want to have a conference where both the prophetic and the miraculous are on
exhibit, but also in the Northwest, we had Dr. Craig Keener with us. He's probably the most prominent
New Testament theologian alive today, and he was talking about the importance of the word of God.
So no, we are not coming loose of our moorings in the scripture. On the contrary, we think part of
the thing that's necessary to achieve ignition in the spiritual sense is we have to remain grounded
in scripture. I think your great learning has made you mad, Ken Fish.
but I'm just kidding.
It's so fascinating.
All this stuff is fascinating.
I think there's such a hunger.
People really want to see this kind of thing.
I know I do.
We'll be right back, folks.
Orbis Ministries is where you can find, Ken.
It's ORB-B-I-S.
O-R-B-I-S.

We'll be right back.
said all the time, then he got small.

I was going out while you were coming in, and I'm just sitting wondering where you've been all of my life.
Ken, are there any stories that you want to tell of?
I'm always fascinated about the reality of healings and deliverance, or we can just keep talking about, you know, the kind of deep theory behind this stuff, these three conferences, fusion, ignition, and then the new one, illumination.
Yeah, so I do believe that there are times God will use the natural order to speak of the spiritual world, and I think we are living in one of those times.
I'm going to switch off of healing and deliverance only because this is such a cool story.
When we were in the Northwest this weekend, one of the prophetic words that came forth was for somebody who had a birthmark on the back of their neck, and it was a woman that was called out,
specifically. There's a woman here. You have a birthmark on the back of your neck and you wear your
hair long so that it isn't visible. Well, that woman was there and she came up and she got a prophetic word that,
I mean, it sliced her life open is the only way to say it. But the thing that was really interesting
to me, I mean, that was interesting, but I've seen that happen before. So I'm not trying to minimize it,
but I'm just zeroing in on an aspect of something. That woman had bought a ticket to the
conference and she hadn't been coming to any of the sessions. And her friends were calling her and
texting her and saying, hey, why aren't you coming to the conference? This is a great conference.
Things are really, excuse me, things are really happening here. You really want to be here.
So she showed up and the one single session where she showed up was the session where the word
about that birthmark on the back of her neck came forward and thus she came to the front
and received ministry prayer over her entire life history of difficulty, rejection, and more.
It completely flipped her world on its head. Yeah. Well, there's so many people I know
that don't believe in any of this stuff. They don't go to churches where this stuff is
ever heard of and they just think, well, that's weird. That's weird stuff. And
I remember when I first came to faith, I had the opposite attitude.
I was like, I just want whatever comes with the faith, like whatever there is.
What a wonderful thing that God opens up the supernatural to us so there can be healing
so that people can hear from God.
We can walk with God in this living way.
And we all know how much, I mean, look, let's be honest.
you and I have seen abuses of this.
There are people who abuse gifts, who lie, who pretend to have the gift, or what, I mean, all
this horrible stuff.
We always hear about that.
But it's also real, folks.
You know, there's counterfeit, but there's the real thing.
And it's biblical.
And so when you talk about this, I mean, who doesn't want to know that God is alive and speaking
to them?
It's just a beautiful thing.
I'm aware of their counterfeits, their abuses of these things.
But I always feel sad when there are people who create a whole doctrine where it says,
they say either this stuff is fraudulent or it is demonic.
That's, it can be fraudulent and it can be demonic.
But that doesn't mean the real thing isn't real.
And you can, of course, you have for decades experienced these kinds of things.
I mean, when you said earlier in another program about, you know, God gives you an image in your mind.
Now, you have a particular gift.
I don't have that.
I would like to develop that gift, but I'd like to pray for somebody and see an image.
And I don't have that.
That's not happened to me.
But I would love to have that gift or even a little bit.
What a wonderful thing to be able to pray and to see people healed and delivered.
And it's just such a delightful thing.
And I, so I'm just so grateful for you being so vocal about it, being so articulate about it, because I know that there are many people that they long to see the reality of God.
They long to see God moving in their lives.
And we all should long to see redemption, the redemption, the healing, all of this wonderful stuff.
I just, you know, I'm sorry, I'm not going to be able to be out the conference in October.
But you do get around.
you do travel.
I know you're going to be in the New York area,
I think at the end of October.
That's right.
And theoretically,
you'll be coming up to Danbury.
We haven't figured this out yet,
but to come up to his vineyard
on the night of November 1st,
I hope that that's possible.
I'll keep pushing you on that.
Because I just, you know,
I want to see the reality of this.
This is, it's just a beautiful thing.
We just got a minute left in this segment.
So anything you want to add,
and then we'll go to a break and come back.
Well, y'all, I'll tell you one other real quick one.
There was a guy that I called out and I said, I gave him a word about his life and his business, but I said, and there's something about a tooth problem.
And I said, and I stopped short of it, and I should have said it, but I didn't.
But what I knew was it either had to do with this one, which I think is called the canine or just back from it.
Well, that guy came forward and he says, I'm that guy.
You got it right.
But I just wanted you to know, I am actually going in this week.
to have my tooth cleaned out because I have a repair that's gone bad, it's abscessed,
and I need to have a root canal. And I said, wow, well, let me pray for you. I don't know if he was healed
because it was a very quick prayer and off he went. But even that God would be able to call out somebody's
tooth condition to someone unknown, totally unknown. To me, that's remarkable, but it shows the kind of
God that we see described in the Bible. And this type of gifting we see in Barnabas and Silas, it says,
the New Testament that they were prophets and they encourage people with words from God.
Well, again, I think that my frustration is always, I wish there were more folks like you who do
this kind of thing, who have this kind of gifting, because it really is a great hunger for it.
All right, we'll be right back, folks, if you're interested, kingdomillumination.org

Welcome back talking to Ken Fish.
Okay, Ken, you just said there was some story you wanted to tell about something
happened in the Middle East.
When were you in the Middle East?
What part of the Middle East?
In the spring, I went to both Egypt and Jordan, and we turned that overall trip into a mixture
of touring and Bible teaching, you know, on site, coupled with conferences in both
Cairo and Amman. And, you know, fortunately, there's enough tolerance for Christianity in those
two countries that we're able to do those kinds of events. So while I was in Cairo,
somebody brought a friend of theirs, and the somebody was a friend of mine who lives in Egypt,
but they brought a friend of theirs, and this person had a couple of problems. One was nightmares that
were terrifying and repeated. And they also had a skin condition and they couldn't get rid of it.
And they'd tried everything and it, you know, it was just, it was kind of disfiguring and it was itchy.
And there was no, I mean, they'd left Egypt for medical treatment. They'd gone to Western nations.
There, nobody could figure out what this was. So I, you know, they brought their friend.
I began praying for the friend. And while I was praying, I said, what is?
your spiritual background? And this individual came out of a Coptic tradition. Coptic is the Egyptian
ancient church. It's generally considered part of Eastern Orthodoxy. But I would just say that in
much of Africa, and it doesn't matter now whether we're talking about Muslim Africa, Christian
Africa, or Arab Africa, it just doesn't really matter. There is a, there is a, there is a
deep and active tradition of people using the evil eye, placing curses, things like this.
And you can say it's superstition if you want, but we've seen plenty of instances of people who
have come under these kinds of things, different settings, different stories, but it's a thing.
That's all I can say.
It's a thing.
So I said, well, all right, so you're Coptic Christian, but did anyone in your family
practice any kind of witchcraft or use the evil eye.
And she said, well, of course, we do this all the time.
Well, again, I didn't know it was wrong.
Why?
Because I don't read that part of the Bible.
And my church doesn't teach about it.
So why would I know about it?
And so, anyway, this person had been not only involved in using the evil eye and casting spells,
but, and yes, this person was a Christian, as the Coptic would understand,
that. It might not fit the paradigm of, you know, a standard Protestant church where they say,
well, you must come forward, kneel, confess Jesus is Lord. This person confessed Jesus as Lord.
This person was a regular church attender and was actually fairly devout. Prayed prayers.
They don't tend to read the Bible per se. What they do is they have excerpts of the Bible in their,
the Catholics call it a missile, M-I-S-S-A-L, not missile like what flies through the air.
And the Coptic have a comparable thing, but they have a specific word for it that I can't remember now.
But it's like that.
So in that setting, they might be reading scripture as part of their devotion, but they wouldn't do, well, many Protestants don't do this either,
but they wouldn't sit down and seek to read the Bible through every year.
So you could miss some things if they seem irrelevant or,
no longer culturally applicable, or maybe it's a hot topic and we don't really want to go there
and deal with all... Look, look, I grew up in the Greek Orthodox Church.
Theoretically, you know, they read, they have an epistle reading and a gospel reading every week.
No one ever explains it. It just goes in one ear and out the other. You need teaching on this stuff.
And I never heard anything, you know, about a biblical view of...
sexuality. I never heard that you shouldn't do occultic stuff. Never heard a word about it. And so there
people go everywhere. They're baptized. They're going to these churches. They hear nothing about this
stuff. And they have no clue that there's anything wrong with it. I mean, I've experienced this.
So go ahead. Sorry. All right. So by the way, the prophet Jose said centuries ago,
my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Well, we've got lots of knowledge in our world.
today is Josea 4, 6 for those who want to fact-check the verse.
So there's, we've got lots of knowledge today, but the real thing is knowledge of God's word,
knowledge of God's ways. So I said to this individual, well, do you guys ever get into witchcraft
wars? Now, that wasn't just some random question. I have done enough of this kind of work in
multiple countries where this sort of thing goes on to know that somebody curses somebody,
somebody curses them back. And so, well, yeah, of course. And I said, well, my guess is you violated the commands of the Lord by being involved in this to begin with, but probably you've also been cursed.
Well, what do I do? I said, well, let's start with confessing it because it's wrong and telling the Lord you're not going to do it anymore. So we did that. And then we broke the power of this thing. And I'm telling you the power of God hit this woman. And when I say the power of God, I mean there was a visible manifestation.
on her body and she began shaking and jerking and
and man when it would you know we had to hold her up and finally it got so extreme we just laid
her down on the floor so she was as some would call it slain in the spirit but let me assure
you she was not pushed she was knocked over by god's power and we lowered her to the floor
well when she got up her skin was clear and she's had no further headaches
excuse me, not headaches, the nightmares that had been visiting her from that day until this one.
How do I know that? Because my friend who brought this woman to the meeting for prayer has stayed in touch with me and told me there's been no further problems at all.
Well, this would be an example of the kinds of things that come about when people, even unwittingly, violate God's ways.
Well, and again, that's the key, folks, you know, unwittingly.
So wouldn't you want to be healed or freed of anything that's holding you down?
Who wouldn't want that?
So I just, I, it's one of the reasons, Ken, that it's a joy to have you on the program
because I think a lot of people are waking up to this stuff.
They've been going to some church that never touches on this.
And they think, I'm good and you're not good.
And so God wants us to be freed of everything, if possible.
So, you know, that's one of the reasons we're talking about it.
All right.
So people can find you at Orbis Ministries, ORBIS Ministries.
The conference in October is kingdomillumination.org.
Kingdomillumination.org.
And we'll be right back.
Welcome back talking to Ken Fish.
Ken, I wanted to ask you, you said there are a number of guests that will be at the conference in Franklin, Tennessee, October 8th through 11th.
Did you want to mention any of them?
Yeah, I want to just give people a thumbnail sketch on a few.
If I did all of them, it would probably take too long.
But one of our speakers is a woman named Dr. Candy Gunter Brown.
She's a professor at Indiana University.
She has her undergrad and her Ph.D. from Harvard University.
She's written, among other things, a book called Testing Prayer.
and she has done scientific research into the efficacy of healing prayer, and she and her husband have a deliverance ministry.
She's currently writing a book on deliverance.
Candy has become a good friend of mine, and she and her husband, Josh, will both be there.
If you want to hear somebody who is an academic and yet very approachable and quite humorous and likable, you would want to hear Dr. Brown, Dr. Candy Gunders,
Brown talk about her experiences and how her own husband, Josh, was healed from a fatal disease through
deliverance. Another individual who will be with us is Dr. Laif Hetland. He has been in 106 nations.
He has led more than a million people to the Lord. And he in particular has seen very great fruit
among Muslim nations.
Then we have another guy named Jeremy Nelson.
Jeremy often goes to Pakistan and other nations.
He has led more than three and a half million people to the Lord
in the nation of Pakistan alone.
And we also have David Taylor.
Now, this is not the David Taylor who has some books out.
This guy, many people don't know,
because he kind of operates in secret,
but he often meets with heads of sense.
state and senior level leaders in government and big business and gives them personal words
about their businesses, about government matters and more.
These are the caliber of people whom we have speaking.
I could detail some of the others, but I know our time is limited, so I don't want to,
I don't want to wax eloquent here.
But these are the types of people you're going to hear at this conference.
This conference is not like any other conference you've ever been to.
One other person I will mention is a messianic Jewish leader who's going to bring to us, again, teaching on the importance of Scripture, the inerrancy of Scripture, and why we need to be rooted in Scripture if we're going to be people who illuminate the world. We've had this individual with us before. His name is Avner Boski. And you won't want to miss what Avner has to say about the integrity and structure of God's Word. For those,
of you who struggle with, I see these things in the Bible, but I don't see them in my life,
so I don't really know what to believe about Christianity. Avner might be the answer to your
question in addition to everything you will see on display in front of your eyes at illumination.
Because of you, I had Avner Boski on the program. We didn't get to talk about that kind of stuff,
but just tremendous to get to know him. And I'd love to have to.
have some of these other folks on the program.
Where is Dr. Brown?
Where does she live?
He's at Indiana University.
Oh, that's right.
You mentioned that.
Okay.
All right.
Well, we're at a time.
Folks, you can find Ken at Orbis Ministries.
It's ORBIS Ministries.
And we've mentioned the conference coming up October 8 through 11th.
Kingdomillumination.org.
kingdom illumination.org. I am just so annoyed. You can't be there. If you use the code, Eric.
If you use the word Eric in the discount code, you get a discount. Well, I'm glad to hear that.
That's terrific. Ken, it's always wonderful to see you, my friend. Thank you for coming on the program.
God bless you. My pleasure. Thanks for having me.
It's just all right
