Welcome to the Eric Mataxis show.
We'll get you from point A to point B.
But if you're looking for point C, well, buddy, you're on your own.
But if you'll wait right here in just about two minutes, the bus to point C will be coming right by.
And now here's your Ralph Cramden of the Airways, Eric Mattaxas.
Ladies and gentlemen, yes, yes, yes, yes.
It's that time of the week.
Yes.
It's second hour, first segment in the second hour on Thursday.
We do ask metaxus.
I play the role of metaxus.
Albin, you ask questions.
People write in tons of questions.
We only have time for a few.
But you ask the questions.
And I do my best, usually, to answer.
So what is our first question in asthma taxes?
It is.
Is your Instagram hacked?
I received a DM direct message from you asking for money.
Okay?
Wait a minute.
Is my Instagram account hacked?
Yeah.
Somebody received a DM for me.
I think I've mentioned this before, but actually it's good to mention this again.
Sort of it's hacked.
Yes, not really.
It's not my account that's hacked.
but what people do, and I'm glad to get this out there, if you have a certain number of followers,
they're just criminals out there trying to rip off, you know, so they impersonate you and they
contact your quote-unquote friends. They try to create a fake Eric Metaxus account.
So there's some fake Eric Mataxis accounts out there.
You can tell the real one, if you're paying attention, if you subscribe to my newsletter,
you can click on the real one.
But yeah, there are people out there trying to build a fake Erick Mataxis account so they can pretend
be my friend and say, oh, by the way, hey, buddy, could you give me 10 bucks or I got some
Bitcoin thing or whatever? So be warned that, yes, there are fake Instagram accounts out there
with my name on it. The real one is the only one that's really fun. So let me just say,
you definitely want to be on the real one. But don't be, I never, ever contact anybody through
DM on Twitter or, I just don't do that. Okay. Question number two. Hello, I've heard you talk
about your father being from Greece, and I just wanted to ask you about what the name metaxus means
in Greek. My dad has been very interested in learning Greek and has heard me talking about you.
Out of curiosity, he typed metaxis into Google Translate, and it translated your name as silk.
Is this accurate? If not, he would be curious to know what does it mean.
By the way, I watched a lot of veggie tales growing up, and it's interesting to know that you were the
narrator on the Esther episode, which I've watched many times. Thank you, sir, and God bless all of you.
Wow. Well, the name metaxis does not exactly mean silk. It would be more like silker. You know, it's kind of like if your name is Cooper,
last name is Cooper. A Cooper is the man who makes barrels. If your last name is Smith,
you're the one that operates the smithy, you know, you're the, you're the, you're, you're, you're, you
operate that you're the blacksmith
in the village. If your last
name is Fuller,
you would be the person who whitens the clothes
in the old days they would have somebody. And if you have the last
in a sada, you're making more sadars.
That's correct. Correct. But so, so a lot of
names actually have that kind of thing. So
Metaxus means
the silker, really meaning the
merchant of silk, the person who sells
silk. So
that is correct that
metaxis
means, you know, in English,
It would be something like, you know, silker or silk merchant or something like that.
So that's kind of funny, and it's funny, actually, okay, I'm sitting here with my book, Fish,
out of Water.
Yeah.
Hey, I write about my Greek background in here.
And it's, I mean, a lot of it is very funny just because immigrant stories tend to be hilarious.
That's right.
And you know what?
I keep saying that.
I go to all these churches.
I'm invited to all these delightful churches that they invite me to speak about my new book,
letter to the American Church, which is kind of a sobering message.
And I always say to them, please invite me back so that I can speak on fish out of water or is atheism dead
because those sermons are a ton of fun and hope and joy.
You know, they're not so serious.
But anyway, in Fish Out of Water, I talk about my Greek background.
And I finally got a chance to meet your dad who's a real character, a wonderful guy, and he's all through the book, of course.
I mean, the book is on the hardcover, he's on.
That's his picture on the cover.
Anyway, sorry, the next question.
Okay, question number three, what has been your favorite book that you've written in your career?
Which one has brought you the most joy?
Well, okay, that's hard to say.
In some ways, it would be fish out of water because I had to call my parents up almost every single day to ask them questions.
like when we did this, who was this and what was this?
And there was something really kind of just, I don't know,
fun is a good word for it.
It was sort of writing, I always say this, writing is hard.
You write, I write, writing is hard.
I find writing to be really hard work.
Writing a book is hard work.
But there was something about writing fish out of water,
that there were elements of it, that it really was.
fun because a lot of the stories are very funny. And so it's a joy to write a true story from
your life that you know was funny. And if you communicate it effectively, it will make the
reader laugh. But I would also say that my Martin Luther book was similar. There was a certain
joy in writing parts of that book because Luther was such a madman in the best sense. And there
are kind of funny stories about him. And then there's funny stories about the people around him.
I mean, but the intense corruption of the late medieval Roman church.
You can't, you just want to fall down from horror and laughter.
Like, could it really have been this bad?
Some of it is just so, anyway, there's some comical portions.
So there's a lot of that in the Luther book.
So in some ways, I would say that about my Luther book,
that I think it would be a fun read.
because when I wrote it, it was some of it, I was dying myself writing it.
Yeah, it really was kooky that.
Yes.
But I loved how you really, how did you remember all that fine minutia in detail on some of these like early day?
In my own life?
Yeah, in your own life.
People ask me that all the time.
Yeah.
And I have no idea.
All I know is I do.
I mean, maybe I don't remember, you know, what I ate for breakfast, but I remember that stuff.
Yeah.
Like I just, I don't know.
I just know it.
and I've always been very sensitive.
So I think it just impressed itself on me.
But I, I, yeah, people say that all the time.
Like, what a memory?
And I'm thinking, it never even would occur to me that I would have a good memory about.
I would just think, like, well, that's just my life.
Don't you remember your life, you know, so I don't know.
Okay.
Question number four, another upbeat one.
What are you grateful for?
Well, that's kind of one that has no answer because it's endless, right?
I am most, this sounds like a theological answer, but it's also true.
I'm most grateful for God coming into my life when he did, around my 25th birthday,
dramatically revealing himself to me because I'm horrified at where I would be if that
hadn't happened.
And I can't even process life without Jesus coming into my life.
and guiding me and what you know and it's been uh as you know albin you know there's been a lot of
struggles but i will tell you struggling with jesus in the mix versus doing it on your own
uh i just don't even want to think about what it would be like to to live my life without that
so it's the center of everything i do even if it doesn't look like it it is and so that is something
that i'm so grateful for that that like nothing really could compare
to it. It almost, it's kind of like when C.S. Lewis says, you know, God is the, the light by which I
see everything. It's not like, I feel like my faith is, is, gives me the ability to be gratitude, to be
gratitude to everything in, in life. So of course, the, the, the answer is my, for my faith.
And my will for everybody, since I'm on the subject, is that you two would open your heart to the God
of the Bible because it's why you're on the planet and it is beautiful and it can give meaning
to everything, even in especially the tough stuff. Okay, question number five, when is the next
So Cocrates in the city event? So bummed, I missed the last one. Bummed? Well, you can,
we put them up on YouTube eventually. We live stream them. The next event is March 30th with
Yonmi Park, who defected from North Korea.
You should sign up.
She's very popular.
Her books are all over the airports now.
She's doing a big tour.
So go to Socrates in the city.com and get a ticket sooner rather than later.
It would be my recommendation.
Thank you very much.
In case you haven't been paying attention,
the Biden administration has caused a financial crisis,
and they have no clue how to fix it.
Oil prices have skyrocketed.
And when oil prices go up, the cost of transportation and shipping spikes,
leading the prices of goods to rise.
And when we're already seeing record inflation, that's the last thing we need.

Folks, welcome back.
I continue my conversation with Kimberly Ells, E-L-L-S.
The book is The Invincible Family, Why the Global Campaign to Crush Motherhood and Fatherhood can't win.
You're this week here with us in New York at the UN.
And I've never been a big fan of the UN.
And whenever I talk to somebody like you about things like this,
it gives me more and more evidence of why I shouldn't be a fan of the UN.
They are promoting things that are abominable to me,
to almost all people of faith in the world and to most people in the world in general.
But they are the cultural elites.
They are all convinced that this is the right thing to partner with,
Planned Parenthood. But there's something deeply creepy when Planned Parenthood is partnering with the
World Health Organization and on and on it goes and using the UN. It's kind of like this wink, wink, wink,
like we all know what's right in whom we're fighting. And whom they're fighting, generally speaking,
is people with faith in the God of the Bible, the God of the Bible, the ideas that have been part of
civilization from the beginning. And it's an extraordinary thing that they feel they can do this.
But your thesis in the book The Invincible Family is that they can't succeed. That's right. And that's
the hopeful message in all this. It seems quite daunting. We've got these global forces that are
coalescing and they have billions of dollars in budget because the nations of the world are
supporting this in various ways. And Planned Parenthood is getting rich off of our children.
but in the end the answer to all this attack on the family, ironically, is the family itself.
And it can't be totally broken.
It can be abandoned.
You know, we can leave our own marriages.
We can not get married.
We can not care for our own children and all these things.
But the thing is, in most cases, when a man and women come together and they create a life, they create a baby together, in most cases, they're going to love that baby.
and that's going to trump all else.
And the love of a mother and a father for their baby
is the motivating force behind almost everything they do,
which means that it's the motivating force behind almost anything that happens at all in life.
It is the love of parents for their own children.
And even if you try to separate mothers from their children,
and you may have some success with some people,
you're not going to break that love permanently.
mothers are going to keep loving their babies
and they're going to keep teaching them the things
that they believe are right
in tandem with fathers.
And the thing is we have the opportunity
to teach whatever we want in our homes,
at least for now,
regardless of whatever global agenda,
whatever's being taught at your local school,
any of that.
Of course, we need to be working against those things publicly
to make a difference,
but the biggest difference we can make
really is at home.
You know, tonight,
At the dinner table, you can talk about some of these issues with your kids.
And the thing where we need to start, above all else, is we need to talk to our children about sex, gender, marriage, and the family.
What we believe is right about those things, based in our deepest beliefs, and then convey those to our children.
Because they're not going to hear those things really anywhere else.
It's difficult.
Hopefully we have, you know, a church where is supporting us in those teachings.
Well, actually, that's been a big problem.
and that my new book, Letter to the American Church,
I don't address this quite directly,
but the point is if people who claim to believe in the God of the Bible
don't understand that that's not some little thin theological thing.
That touches everything.
And, you know, the Catholics have been great at this.
The evangelicals not so much.
But the concept of there's a natural order.
There's natural law.
These things follow from each other.
and that the idea of family, the idea that that's sacred,
the idea that parents' relationship with their children is sacred,
that has to be part of what churches teach,
because it's related.
It's not unrelated.
It's not a side issue.
Like, oh, we're going to have an archery class for evangelism.
It's at the heart of what we call reality
and what God's design is.
And I think a lot of churches have been timid.
about that. They're confused. They think that to take a stand on this is to be cruel to marginalize
people who are confused and stuff. And the coolest thing you can do is support them in these lies,
which I mean, I also think that there has to be, there is already a backlash, that there are people
that have transitioned or been through this stuff who are now regretting it. And so that's
part of it. Reality always catches, I mean, one of the reasons that the title of
Brooke is the Invincible Family is like you cannot, you know, to use a biblical phrase, kick against the goads.
I mean, this reality that God created is invincible.
You cannot win against, you know, God created this ultimate reality.
But again, you're talking about people who are trying very, very hard, even in separating kids from their parents.
In other words, trying to say, like, don't listen to your parents, listen to your teachers or listen to somebody else.
That is to me satanic.
I mean, it's an amazing thing that every single communist country,
that's the first thing they do is tell the kids,
no, you listen to your teachers or you listen to it.
In fact, report on your parents if they say something wrong.
That has never existed in American life until very recently.
Right.
And I tell the story in the book of Communist Hungary
and how those tactics exactly were enacted
to pick apart the family, ask the kids to expose and report on their parents.
And it's alarming that we see those.
those things creeping in.
It's interesting, though, so at the United Nations,
and what I've learned over the past 10 years observing this issue,
a core issue that specifically is aimed at women
is the issue of care.
So we have to harken back to the writings of Marx and Engels,
founders of modern socialists for this.
So Engels said that in a socialist society
that, quote, the care and education of the children
becomes a public affair.
Of course.
It takes a village, kids.
Don't forget.
Takes a village.
But I mean, that idea,
I mean, I didn't know that Marx
and Engels had first put that forward,
but it's perfectly logical.
And you said it earlier.
Collectivism.
It is at war with,
you know, what, well, Burke called it.
You know, the little platoons, the family.
These things are at war with collectivism,
which is,
part of what globalism is doing.
In other words, it's trying to rip apart these natural relationships.
Right.
And so he said care and education of children becomes a public affair.
Well, education, that's pretty much been accomplished.
We have public or what you would call socialized education.
Worked well for a while.
We're seeing now the end of the road, though.
And it's an ugly end.
And so now what I'm noticing is they're switching to,
and it's been gradual building for a long time,
is taking over the care.
of young children, very young children.
And I saw that I witnessed just just yesterday.
But even, so the idea is, mothers are painted in this sad light of poor mothers.
They have to take care of their own children for free.
Like they call it unpaid work.
And this is just abominable in UN circles.
It's so wicked.
And so the push now is to, one, encourage mothers, convince them that they have something way better to do
than loving and caring for their own children.
and that's somehow an onerous duty that they should not ever be expected to do.
And by the way, never hear, I haven't heard at the UN people talking about should fathers be responsible to care for the children they create.
Is a father responsible to be there, to provide for, monetarily for the children?
He creates the answer is yes.
But that's never talked about.
It's always said, oh, the poor mother.
So then we have to, quote, liberate and free the mother from the care of.
of her own children, which I'll admit that mothering is a very hard job, but that's just it.
When you pick up a stick, you pick up both ends, both the best and the worst.
And that's what parenthood is, but it's something else.
So when you have a baby and then you are, in fact, responsible to care for that life you've
created, when you care for the child, that's where the magic happens.
That's where the relationship is built.
that's why babies love their mothers so much is because their mothers care for them.
So if you're going to say, well, we're just going to take the care of babies and give it to somebody else.
What have you done?
You have altered, perhaps, in very catastrophic ways, the bonds of babies to their mothers and mothers to their children.
That's not inconsequential.
That's just not, oh, I'm going to have somebody take care of my kid for a while.
If we as a society say that the ultimate goal is to have babies not.
cared for by their parents, then we're in trouble.
Well, and let's see how that works out.
You can talk to people who've been in the foster care system.
You can talk to people who grew up in orphanages in the former Soviet Union.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's horrifying.
It is horrifying.
The damage that this does to human beings that most of them carry around for their entire lives.
So it's not like it even works.
It doesn't work.
It's horrifying, and God's plan is the best.
I think we are at war with something, which, again, I was saying it earlier, it's diabolical
because there's so many ways in which it seeks to undermine God's order and the family order,
and you don't need to be some serious person of faith.
Most decent, normal people raising their kids, they get this stuff.
This is part of the natural order.
and it can't win, but we have to fight.
We'll be right back.
We're talking to Kimberly Ells.
The book is The Invincible Family.
Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain.
I'm often asked that question just the other night.
I was asked that question.
Well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal.
That's right, designed to heal.
And I agree with them.
And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them
selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, and each one of them helps your body
deal with inflammation. Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different
metabolic pathway. That's the point. So approaching from four different angles may be why so many
people find such wonderful relief. If you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain

We haven't talked about the Biden administration.
I assume they're on board with all of this really horrible stuff because the Democratic Party
for the last little while has been completely on board.
It's just staggered.
We're not in the world of Tip O'Neill anymore.
Right.
Well, something happened in January that really caught my eye.
So you may have seen that the Biden administration rolled up and out a new initiative.
And it's called the U.S. strategy for global women's economic security.
So I thought, what is that?
So I listened to the people introducing it and then I got digging into the details.
And so basically what it is is facilitating universal.
And you'll notice it says the U.S. strategy for global women's economic security.
So it's meant to be a global thing.
So what they say in the details is that the Biden administration has now partnered with the World Bank, which is a UN entity, to provide what, so the UN Bank has a new program called the Invest in Child Care Initiative.
And so what the plan is, they detail is that they're going to incentivize countries, the World Bank is going to pay countries for enacting certain child care policies.
And then they're going to collect data showing that having someone else take care of your children, having them in public care,
is better than having them in home care, which they'll have to really stretch that data because
that's never true.
Yeah, they're going to have to lie.
They're going to have to lie and misrepresent the data.
But obviously, they're doing it with our text dollars.
Yeah.
I mean, there are some parents who are terrible, their children would benefit from these things.
But by and large, parents are the best caretakers of the children.
So they're going to pay countries to do this.
They're going to have a huge watch, watch and see what happens over the coming year.
I believe there's going to be a huge rollout against motherhood,
incentivizing and glamorizing, have someone else.
care for your children. And then they say because they want it to be high quality, that they're
then going to enact regulations on early childhood care. So what we're doing is the Biden administration
has partnered with the World Bank, basically the United Nations, to take over the child care industry,
starting from birth on up. And that's the next frontier. They have K through 12, but you've got to
get them when they're babies. Because Aristotle said, you know, the destiny of nations depends on the
education of youth. And in their philosophy, the younger, the better. And that is the direction we're
going. And I want to, you know, encourage the mothers of the world to stand up. And the World Bank
wants to buy your children. Don't sell them. I'd have to say, this is why, if there's anybody
listening to this, if you're not at war with this, wherever you can be, do you understand how
wicked this is? I mean, growing up in a Greek Orthodox Christian family, I was always told the stories of how
the Ottoman Turks, the Muslim Turks,
when they came into
we're taking over
at war with the Greeks, enslaved the Greeks,
what would they do?
They would take the children, the little children,
away from their mothers
and raise them to be Turkish soldiers.
Now you think, what could be more diabolical
than that? To take a child from its mother
and to make it an enemy of that mother.
This kind of evil has existed since the beginning of time,
but the idea that the Biden administration and the UN and all of these globalist entities
are doing this very thing now is astonishing.
And we have an opportunity to hear about it, thanks to you, my guest, Kimberly Ells,
and your book The Invisible Family, and to understand what is happening.
This is what globalism is, folks.
If you want to understand what meta is all.
all about what the globalists, the globalists are doing. What they're doing is they are at war with
God and God's order. And that always hurts human beings, normal human beings. So I'm just so
happy that you're here in New York representing truth and reality at the UN. Just a couple
minutes left. What else ought we to touch on in the few minutes? Well, Lenin himself, you know,
said, give me four years to teach me.
teach the children, and the seed I've planted will never be uprooted.
And it's true to a very large degree.
And so they want your children for those first four critical years.
Don't give those four years to anybody, very least of all the state, you know.
And we as parents, the thing is we have been put in a position of extreme power.
And we get to decide what happens.
You know, it's been said, I think it was Barbara Bush, who said what happens in your house
more important than what happens in the White House.
And that is, in fact, the truth.
And we can make our homes fortifications of truth and goodness.
Now, that doesn't mean all of our children
are always going to make the choices that we might want.
But we can teach them the truth, and we can set them on the right path.
And we can offer an alternative to our children
to the narrative that they are hearing everywhere, you know,
and we can offer them something so much better and so much brighter
with so much more happiness before them.
Because when you're fighting against your own anatomy,
when you're fighting against God's plan, there's going to be disillusionment and there's going to be sadness.
But when you find God, or even people who, as you said, aren't religious, this just makes sense.
It's rooted in our anatomy.
The family exists for a reason, and it exists for our good.
Well, there's no doubt about it, and most people know that there is a national order,
that men are created different from women.
Women look different.
They get together in marriage.
they have children.
This is something that we've taken for granted for millennia,
but of course now it has been challenged so dramatically.
And, you know, it's chilling, Kimberly, to hear that these elites are at war with these things,
but it's also encouraging to me because as we hear these things, people get activated,
and they understand, I need to take a stand.
If I'm going to some church that acts like this is a marginal issue,
maybe I want to get the heck out of that church and find a church.
that takes this seriously because everything is at stake.
Everything is at stake.
This is at the heart of reality.
And it's really vital that we do everything we can do.
So Kimberly Ellis, thank you so much.
The book is The Invincible Family,
Why the Global Campaign to Crush Motherhood and Fatherhood can't win.
Kimberly, thank you.

Hey there, folks.
Welcome back.
As you know, one of our friends on the program.
is Robert Netsley. Robert Netsley is with InspireAdvisors.com. Inspireadvisors.com.
And Robert, it looks like today you're down on Wall Street, but I know that's a fake background.
But you all you had me going. We got to keep people guessing, man. If they find out my real
location, it's all over. I was going to say. Okay, so you recently had a meeting with a bank
about a share shareholder resolution.
And okay, let me explain to my audience in case they don't remember what inspire advisors.com is all
about.
You guys are trying to get people to invest their money in ways that don't undermine everything
they believe in.
And tons and tons and tons of us have a 401K or whatever it is we've going on.
There's all kinds of stuff that we're invested in, which is completely evil,
contrary to what we believe in, pro-abortion stuff, pro-pornography stuff, and you're trying to help people get their money out of those things.
So let me say, folks, that's why I want you to go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric inspireadvisors.
But tell us about your recent meeting with the shareholder meeting with this bank person.
Yeah, so it inspires faith-based, biblically responsible managers.
We constantly engage with the companies that we invest in and others to really speak biblical
truth to corporate power. The left has been doing this for decades and is why they're
largely winning that battle in corporate America. So we manage about $2 billion in growing
rapidly, one of the fastest growing investment firms in the nation. Praise God. And so recently,
we've been engaging with some shareholder resolutions with financial institutions,
specifically around the issue of debanking and this really troubling trend of debanking and
cancellation of conservative people and organizations from banking platforms. And
canceling accounts, closing accounts.
Later today, I have a follow-up meeting with the General Counsel of M&T Bank.
They employ 17,000 people.
Their market cap is over $30 billion.
It's a large bank.
And we have a meeting with the very top people to discuss this resolution.
And it's because people like your listeners who invest with us have brought this money together
in one place that we can be your advocate to speak this truth and be that voice.
where we can have these sorts of meetings and get real action from some of the largest corporations in America.
Well, it's an amazing thing, again, that the left is using their power to crush Christians and people with biblical values.
Anybody with family values, you don't need to be a Christian.
But if you believe in what most Americans have traditionally believed in, there are people, there are elites using banking, using the financial world, using the corporate world.
in really horrible, horrible ways.
You've got to be aware of this.
And then we have to push back,
which is one of the reasons that I get excited
to talk to you, Robert Netsley,
because when I heard what you are doing,
I said, how do we tell the world?
How do we get people to understand
that you're participating in a wicked system?
Unless you get your money out of these places,
we have no voice.
We're going to have no voice.
And so, again, the action point is please go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric.
And you can get a free investment report.
But to find out how your money is working against what we believe in, how you can get it out.
I mean, this is, unfortunately, this is crucial that we understand this.
So please keep going, Robert.
Right.
I mean, the time for passivity is over.
We can't just sit back and hope things get better.
the hard truth is if you're sitting here listening to this right now and you have not taken a look at your portfolio,
I can almost guarantee.
And guarantee is a word you can't really use in investment world very often.
But I can almost guarantee you that you're invested in stuff that would make your stomach churn.
And not only that, you probably have money in secular fund companies like BlackRock, ice shares, etc.
who are actively using your money right now, your shareholder vote, to advocate for things like the institutionalization of anti-family policies, pro-abortion policies, pushing against religious freedom, make it legal for corporations to fire people who have religiously held views, traditional viewpoints on sexual orientation and gender identity.
These things are happening right now with your money if you haven't been paying attention.
And so you need to look at these things.
And that's with that report that you mentioned.
If you go to Inspired Advisors.com slash Eric, our team is putting together free reports for your listeners so they can actually find out what they're invested in and how they can simply and easily, frankly, it's not that hard to make some changes to the portfolio and align their money to actually support the viewpoints and values that you hold most dear and stop things like debanking of conservative, faith-based Christians, you know, others who hold these sorts of.
viewpoints. It's atrocious that's happening in America and it has to stop, but it only will
stop if people like those listening right now take some action. So we'd love to help you empower
that through InspiredAdvisors.com slash Eric. And that's what our team is passionate about.
And I want to be clear, folks, it's crazy not to do this because this is free. Okay. This is free.
InspireAdvisors.com slash Eric. We want to help you to get your money out of these places that are
working against you and that are gaining power, by the way. You've got to, you've got to take the power
back because we are allowing them to gain power to the point where we won't be able to fight
against them. And I keep saying this wherever I go, that right now, whatever power you have,
whatever God has given you, whatever money you have, whatever voice you have, whatever freedom
you have, whatever talents you have, you need to use it now for God's purposes. If you don't,
in a future day soon, you will no longer be able to use it. You will.
will no longer have a voice. They will no longer be the ability to push back because these folks
are working overtime. And so we need to do what we can. So again, inspireadvisors.com slash Eric,
it is totally free. Robert, we've just got a minute left. What else can we talk about?
Well, you know, again, I just can't stress it enough to pay attention, right?
the only thing that's needed for evil to succeed in the world is for good people to do nothing.
You speak about that all the time, Eric.
I'm so thankful for it.
And this is the area of finance and investing is a hugely influential area.
Christians and Protestants, Catholics, we control more than half the assets, investment assets in this country.
So if we just kind of got together and paid attention, that could be a huge, a huge voice for freedom and religious freedom.
I mean, look, I talk about this all the time.
Where you spend your money, folks.
You have a choice of where you spend your money.
Do you spend it with a company that's going to work against your values or with your values?
Way bigger than that.
Where your money is invested, we've got to get serious about this.
So let me exhort you again to go to InspireAdvisors.com slash Eric.
This is free.
Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric, and they will help you.
Robert Nestle.
Thank you.
God bless you.
It's my pleasure.
God bless you.
Hooray!
Yay!
My book, Fish Out of Water, is out in paperback.
The cover is such a happy blue color.
Yay!
You can't help but smiling.
It's like when God designed the sky, and he chose that blue color.
He invented that blue color.
He could have picked any color.
And colors sometimes just bless you.
So I look at the sky, sometimes a deep blue color.
So that's the cover of my book, Fish Out of Water.
God didn't know that, yeah, in 2023, that that would be the same blue that was going to be.
used on your cover. I think he might have known. I think he might have known.
Surprise. Okay. In other news, I want to mention we are exhorting you to go to holyland.
That's holyland.israel.com travel. Holyland.com travel. Why? Well, because
holyland.com Israel. Travel is a way that you can figure out how to travel to Israel. And we seem to think
that's kind of kooky on our part,
but we seem to think that going to the place
where Jesus walked
and going to visit all those sites
will strengthen your faith.
So if you're thinking about, you know,
going here or there, why not go there?
Yeah.
Why not go there?
Because I've been there,
and the short time that I was there,
you really cannot process.
I mean, it's, anybody's been there
will say the same.
It's just mind-blowing.
And I feel that we need to reconnect
with our Jewish roots,
We're going to talk to my friend Greg Denham about this in a few weeks here, but the Christian faith is a Jewish faith. There's no escaping it. It's utterly Jewish. Jesus was not inventing a new religion. He was calling us to the true religion, the Jewish religion now that the Messiah has come and opened the door. And it's important for us to get that, at least if it's possible. So I want to encourage people to visit Israel.
I'm definitely going next year, no doubt about it.
I also want to encourage you before we go, we're doing our springtime campaign for food for the poor.
There are people hungry around the world.
If you're not hungry, try to imagine what it would be like, not just to be hungry, but to have children that are hungry.
The only good news is we could do something about it.
There are tons of people in our own hemisphere who can't feed their kids.
Sounds inconceivable.
Well, you have to conceive of it because it is true.
I've actually got a clip.
One of our broadcasters in Dallas,
well, he talks about food for the poor.
Let's play the clip.
It's not us over here and them over there,
but it's all of us collectively.
For a moment, we get to live life together.
And the cool thing is I saw Food for the Poor and what they did,
where our money goes.
And it was a beautiful thing that impacted my life in such a
great way that I can't wait to go back because I believe in what food for the poor does. I've seen it
with my own eyes and it really is a part of my heart and a part of my life now. So look, everybody's
asking for your money. And the fact of the matter is God commands us to give, you know, generously.
The question is always where, where is my dollar going to go farthest? I want to be a good steward
of every penny God has given me. That's why we partner with food for the poor. Just as an example of how
far your dollars can go with food for the poor because they're so great at what they do.
$72 feeds two hungry kids, a nutritious meal twice a day for one year plus drinking water
for life. That's just $72. Now, everybody can give something different. Some of you,
you can ask God to tell you, Lord, what should I do? What would you have me to do? Let me ask you to do.
let me ask you to do what sometimes pastors say, why don't you pray about it?
Just ask God to give you a nudge because he loves these people who are starving and we can help them.
So it's a privilege we get to do this.

Folks, welcome.
As you know, one of the sponsors on this program is Legacy Precious Metals.
I love to talk to the CEO, Charles Thorngren.
I get to do so right now.
Charles, welcome.
Oh, thank you.
Glad to be here.
All right.
We're talking about the economy.
I don't know much about the economy, which is why I talk to you.
Before we even go into that, I want to make sure I have the website for Legacy Precious
Metals correct. What is the best website?
LegacyPMinvestments.com.
LegacyPMinvestments.com.
Okay.
Where are we with the economy as of today?
You know, it's interesting.
Where we're at today is significantly worse than where we were two days ago.
What happened?
Well, you have a scenario where those who monitor the Fed are saying, we haven't done enough.
We haven't done enough to fight inflation.
We haven't done enough to protect the economy from a recession.
Now, you and I have talked, and I don't think we get out of this without a recession.
I just think it's too hard of an ask to do.
So when we look at that, we look at the number where the Fed was saying we may hit 5.37% on the Fed's rate.
Today they're coming out and saying we're probably need to be up around 6.5% to minimize the recession that will take us through 2025 to get through.
It's really significant.
It sounds like Greece 15 years ago.
And it's not that dissimilar, in fact, you know.
I don't think we get to the point where there's the run on the banks like we saw in Greece then.
But the pain that's going to be inflicted is far worse.
worse than anyone's thinking or prepared for. That is the real issue behind it. You know,
economies go up and they go down. It only affects those who aren't prepared. That's the real
issue here. You know, we have the largest price for mortgages that we've seen in 25 years.
We've also seen, on top of that, the largest amount of sales of houses going on to the market.
Everyone who's in that market knows, get out now before those prices come down because a higher
interest rate means it's harder for people to buy.
We're seeing the same things than equities.
Get out now because there's pain yet to come.
That's the issue.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, we're not kidding.
There's a reason Charles Thorngren is the CEO of Legacy Precious Metals because he believes,
as I do, that gold and silver are infinitely safer than.
and everything else that's just been mentioned.
The website is legacy p.m.investments.com,
legacy pm investments.com.
How is it, Charles, that most people don't realize this?
Now, there's the record is so clear on gold and silver compared to everything else.
You know, even when things are going great,
are people just greedy when things are going great,
and then they forget to take their money out of all these other places?
I mean, it's interesting.
I think, I don't know if it's greed.
I don't know if it's lazy.
I think it's being unsure.
We enter the working world with an educational system that doesn't teach us how to manage money, right?
Public school system does not prepare people to be financially responsible.
In fact, you could say that they teach them to be financially irresponsible.
Get a degree, whether you use it or not, it doesn't matter.
Pay a lot of money and then figure it out later.
But beyond that, you enter the workforce, and let's say you fund your retirement account, your 401K.
You don't even really know what that involves.
They just tell you, fund your 401K, get the tax right off.
And then they offer you one thing.
They offer you equities.
There's no real balance.
So we've been told to trust us because we're the experts, do this with your money.
So unless you spend a little time figuring it out for yourself, you're going to fall into that trap or you just put it in there and forget it.
and you don't manage it. You leave that up to somebody else. And I'm telling you that's the wrong way
to do anything. You should be aware of what you're doing. You may not have to be an expert,
but you should have some knowledge at least in what you're invested in. Most people don't.
Well, it doesn't seem to me that transferring a portion or all of what you have into gold and silver
on any level is risky or unsafe. Like, you know, it's kind of a, it's about as basic as it
gets that that's, you know, I'm not just saying this, that this is provable.
Absolutely. You know, when you look for safety, that's your bellwether, precious metals.
After that, you want to be looking at bonds, right? After that, you want to be looking at maybe
some real estate. That's a longer term, right? There's fluctuations. And then you have equities.
This market has told everyone equities is the place to be. And that's all people know.
What I'm saying is there's an excuse for it, but lose the excuse and protect yourself.
Find out something. Learn a little bit, you know. Do some research. And this is really what we try to
focus on is to give people the resources so that they can educate themselves and make the right
decision. If people go to legacy pm.investments.com, what will they find?
The website has got some great information on there. The goal guide has some great information.
but I think the most important thing you'll find there is the way to give us a call,
the way to reach out to somebody and have a conversation with someone who's not going to push you,
who's not going to harass you.
There's no hard salesmen's here.
What we do is we educate.
We show you the options available and why they may make sense for you.
And to me, that's the most important thing that we can do.
The gold and the precious metals and the silver, it's important.
But the education is just as important because it does a important thing.
it removes fear. I just want to be clear. People who know me, who trust me, know that I only have
sponsors on the program that I trust. So Charles Thornegren, CEO of Legacy Precious metals, thank you.
I encourage everyone to go to LegacyPminvestments.com, legacy pminvestments.com. I trust them,
and I suggest that you trust them as well. Charles, thank you. My pleasure. Thank you.
