Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit legacy p.m.investments.com. That's legacy p.m. Investments.com. Welcome to the Eric Mataxis show. It's a nutritious smoothie of creamy, fresh yogurt, vanilla, protein powder, and a mushy banana. For your mind?
Starting point is 00:00:34 Drink it all down. It's nummy. I wubb, vanilla. I wub, I wub, wub, vanilla. here comes Eric Metaxus. Hey there, folks. Welcome back. It's the Eric Metaxis show. I'm Eric Metaxis, and I now get to talk to my friend, Albin Seder, who's written an article with the title.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Well, the word quirky is in the title. Albin, welcome. It's great to be back with you, Eric. Yeah, this is a new article. It's an American thinker. It's supposed to pop up as well at The Blaze and possibly American Greatness, but it's an American think you can find it there. It's called quirky questions, answers, and observations to ponder in a world gone off the rails. Okay. Quirky questions. Yes. Quirky questions. And answers to ponder.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Yeah. And the answers to ponder. Yeah. It's a bunch of just short little one-liners, basically. Some of them are going to find in my new book, Obvious, Obvious at Amazon.com. But besides It's obvious and the obvious questions and the obvious answers. I've got some new stuff that's kind of funny. I think it's kind of funny, but it'll also make you think. So if you don't mind, Eric, I would know. Yes. Yeah, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Keep going. Okay. Well, let me start with something that's not a question, but it's kind of a statement. And I think it applies to a lot of things that are going on in the world today. Yesterday's conspiracy theory has become today's I told you so. that's number one something now if Biden is still going to be around
Starting point is 00:02:11 or any Democrat that's running for president something you will never hear chanted at a Biden or Democrat rally for president USA USA USA you're going to hear it at the Trump rallies
Starting point is 00:02:27 You know why because it's a hateful chant It's a bigoted hateful xenophobic chant USA, USA. It's just filled with hate, filled with hate. What about all those other countries? What about them? What about them, huh? Yeah, what about Chad? Remember the hanging chads? Okay. But, but, you know, that leads me, that leads me to one of my obvious observations.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Is it, is it possible that hate can be considered a virtue as long as the one that you hate is worthy of being hated? think about that. That's a new virtue. We're not really supposed to hate people, but we're supposed to hate evil. We're supposed to hate sin. So, yeah, hate has its place. Yeah. Hate, hate has no place except if, if, you know, the person, like I said, is worthy of hating.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Now, how about this one when I was growing up, and I've mentioned this one before? But I still don't think any person God wants us to hate. any person. No, that's true. If a person is espousing bad ideas, you want to hate those ideas. But I know what you mean. Go ahead. Yeah, because I think what's happened now that it's spilled over into particular people, or might I say, Trump, here's one. Okay, if a cow, this is an environmental question. If a cow passes gas in a pasture, okay, I want to be indelicate here, but whatever, if a cow does do that, and there is no environmentalist around to smell it, does it still destroy the planet? That's a heavy question.
Starting point is 00:04:12 And you're getting all philosophical on me, Albin. I wish I had my twin brother here to explain it because he's the environmental guy. Okay. And this is also... Breaks wind in a pasture, and there's no environmentalist to catalog. that occurrence, does it still destroy the planet? That's something to ponder. Yeah. Yeah, it's still about those trees that keep falling down. And then this is another one. I think you're going to agree with this one too. When I was growing up, we did call climate change by
Starting point is 00:04:47 another name, winter, spring, summer, fall. That was our idea of climate change. That's very bigoted, Albin. I don't like that you went there, but please continue. I know, I know, I'm going to get emails, or you're going to get emails and pass them along to me. Let me just say the seasons, the seasons of the year. Yeah. It's part of a patriarchal construct, okay, that the man is using to keep other people down. I think it's a, and we can against that on this program. The days of the week, the months, all that stuff, is just part of something that the man wants to sell you.
Starting point is 00:05:23 And we stand firmly against that. So please continue. Once again, white supremacists love winning. winter because of all those snowmen who are white. Probably. That's probably true. Now, some people think that one of the five senses is talking, you know, speaking. And they use that five cents, that fifth sense, or maybe the sixth sense, more than any other.
Starting point is 00:05:47 That's another observation of mine. I feel like I'm not cracking on that one. We have five senses. Yes. Right. Hearing. Yeah. Seeing.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Seeing. Smelling. Smelling. Speeding and touching. So speech is not one of the five senses. But I think some people think that it is and they use it to the max. And they would be mistaken. They might truly be mistaken.
Starting point is 00:06:17 And then I want to wrap up with this one. Can it be that free speech is perfectly okay? Because, you know, that's one of that, what is that? What is that? perfectly okay as long as the person doing the talking is saying exactly what we want to hear. And we've said this before, you know, free speech and that First Amendment was really set up for the stuff that we don't want to hear. Well, that's the issue, isn't it? That's the issue. We've talked about this before. There was a time, I mean, I remember in college, you know, I had never really heard this before, I don't think, until I was sitting around the dining hall.
Starting point is 00:06:57 at Yale and somebody would pull out, they would say, you know, I will, I may disagree with what you say, but I'll defend with my life, you're right and say it. That was kind of just part of the drinking water. That was part of the atmosphere that people all understood free speech. That's the beauty of the idea of free speech. It's at the heart of freedom. It's at the heart of the American founder's vision for a free society where we govern ourselves. We have to have free speech. And that means tolerating things that we can disagree with, but we allow them to be spoken. That obviously the left and, you know, when we say the left, increasingly what we now call the mainstream media, big tech, they're moving away from that. They are, they have become the
Starting point is 00:07:49 enemies of these foundational ideas that allowed us to have the United States of America. And it's extraordinary that we're here, that we even have to bring up the idea that free speech is a good thing. And then when people say things you don't agree with, it's okay. Yeah. And George Orwell, and I have this quote, part of this quote on the back of my book, obvious, if liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. And that's part of, that's part of free speech. And there's another, and this is, this, you know, we had the debate a while a few days ago, whatever last week. This is another great George Orwell quote, because there's always a spin after Biden does something really stupid.
Starting point is 00:08:33 And this is a George Warwell quote from 1984. The party told you, the party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and your ears. And it was their final, most essential command. So don't matter, it's deep fake, don't matter what you see, don't matter what you hear, is what we tell you what is true and what is false. And that's George Orwell all over 2024 from 1984. Well, let's be clear. That's his book, 1984, which was written in 1948, in case any young person doesn't realize that's right.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Girlwell didn't say this in 1984. He said it in the book 1984, which was written in 1948. Yes, that's right. So that's, and a lot of this stuff, a lot of my foundation in coming up with goofy stuff is from, and I talk about this in this latest article that you'll find again at American Thinker, quirky questions, answers and observations to ponder in a world gone off the rails, and also at the blaze.com was when I was working at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sundusky, Ohio, I don't know if the ride is still there, but it's the Western cruise ride.
Starting point is 00:09:40 And I used to, it was a boat that we actually, as kids, because we were only like 18, 19, 20-year-old kids driving this boat around this lagoon, and we had about 100 passengers on the boat, and they had this really crappy animation at the time. And they gave us a professional spiel. But we had to do jokes because everything was falling apart and falling into the lagoon. But anyway, that's where some of this stuff comes from, the quirkiness of the things I share. And that's about it. We're talking to Albin Seder. Get a copy of his book. Obvious. Okay. Ladies and gentlemen, what would you do if I told you that there was somebody called the pro-life Spider-Man? Sounds like a Babylon, Babylon, B, kind of a kooky idea, except it's true, it's real.
Starting point is 00:12:35 And he's my guest right now. Mason Deschamps, welcome to this program. Thanks for having me on, Eric. Listen, your story is so fascinating. We've got to get right to it so people are tracking because they're like, what does this mean? What does this mean? You climb scary skyscrapers for the pro-life cause. This is real.
Starting point is 00:12:58 You've done it. You've been arrested. How did you get into this? Because you were recently arrested. You've been arrested many times for climbing these buildings. How did this? I mean, first of all, where did you grow up? Did you grow up as a person of faith?
Starting point is 00:13:14 When did you get involved in pro-life causes? Let's start there. Yeah. So I grew up in Michigan, and where I grew up, we did a lot of hunting and a lot of fishing. And then one year when I was 16, we moved from Michigan to Los Angeles. And obviously, you know, there's not a lot of hunting going on in Los Angeles. So I had to find a new outdoorsy activity, and that was where I picked up rock climbing. And very quickly, I just committed to climbing full time.
Starting point is 00:13:47 when I was 18, I moved to Yosemite and was climbing every single day up there on L-Cap and half-dome and all of these large mountains. So you've climbed it so many times that you call it L-CAP. You're like you're using the nickname. No L-Captan for you. I mean, seriously, when you're saying this stuff, this is anybody who knows rock climbing at all knows this is a big deal, climbing El-Captan, climbing the stuff that you climb. So this is very, very hardcore. and you do what's called free climbing.
Starting point is 00:14:19 You want to talk about that? Yeah, so free climbing just means that you're using your hands and feet. You have gear for protection. And when I go out on the two the mountains, most of the time I'm using gear. So if I fall, I'm safe. I'll be okay. But on the skyscrapers, there's no option for gear or protection. So you have to do what's called free solo, which means all you have.
Starting point is 00:14:46 is a chalk bag and a pair of shoes. So if you fall, you go straight to Jesus. And it's one of those things that, you know, it terrifies a lot of people. And you know why that is? I can explain that because it is terrifying. That's why it terrifies people, because it is terrifying. Somehow there are people like you who don't find it terrifying enough to not do it. and I'm just fascinated.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I mean, how old are you now? 25. Okay, so you're still so young, but you've been doing this kind of climbing for a long time. When did you make the leap, speaking figuratively, to doing this to draw attention to the pro-life cause? Yeah, I started doing that two years ago, and I was sitting at home one day, scrolling on my cell phone, when I saw a picture of a baby. And normally you see pictures of babies and they have bows on their heads and they're smiling. This one sat in a Ziploc container with a smashed skull and when I opened.
Starting point is 00:15:56 And it was a baby killed by abortion in Washington, D.C. My friend, A.J. Hurley, was a part of exposing what had happened. Basically, some pro-life activists were outside of an abortion clinic when a medical waste truck driver pulled up. And, you know, this guy had no idea. where he was. He picks up medical waste from plastic surgery offices, pediatrician clinics. And so they asked him, like, hey, can we have one of these boxes? And he was like, why do you want one of these boxes? And they told them, look, you are at an abortuary. And inside those boxes are murdered babies. All we want to do is give them a proper burial. And, you know, thankfully, by God's providence, this man was convicted. So
Starting point is 00:16:44 He said, I'm going to walk around the corner. You take the box. Whatever happens happens. And so they take this box home. They open it up. And inside were 115 dead babies, five of which were almost full term. So this baby that I had seen was almost nine-month baby, ready to be born. Yet here it was in a Ziplot container like it was Chinese takeout food.
Starting point is 00:17:12 And, you know, I say that you are pro-life, right? And until you see the pictures of what abortion looks like, you know, being pro-life is just sort of this idea, right? It's like opposing taxes. But once you see the dead baby, you suddenly understand what it means to be pro-life. It means that you believe that abortion is murder. And that is a gigantic claim. When you say that, what that means is that over 70 million babies have been murdered in America alone since 1972, not counting the babies killed by chemical abortion. So this isn't some political movement.
Starting point is 00:17:54 This is a Holocaust that's happening right in our own country. Well, that's very eloquently put. And seeing something like that with your own eyes, yeah, it kind of changes things. So I'm grateful for your description of this. So at what point do you realize that you can merge your love of climbing with your love of the unborn? When did that idea pop into your head? Yeah, so when I saw the baby, I was sitting at home and I had no money, no influence, still have no money. But I was thinking to myself, what could I do to make a difference?
Starting point is 00:18:35 And the idea to climb skyscrapers, I actually stole it from another crazy. French guy. His name is Alon Robaire. He goes by the French Spider-Man. And he had climbed skyscrapers all throughout the 90s in the early 2000s, all over America. And in 2008, I still remember it from when I was a kid. He had climbed the New York Times building in New York, and he had hung all of these banners protesting climate change. And it said, you know, climate change kills more than 9-11 every week. And so, So I was looking at that building and I thought to myself, you know, I think I could climb that. It looks pretty easy. And this guy, he got a lot of press.
Starting point is 00:19:16 But you know, the Times building, just to be clear, it's left leaning. I don't know if you saw that. Yeah, yeah, no. I just threw that free joke in, folks, just to make sure you're paying attention. So you look at the Times building and you say, I think I can climb that building because this is the building that this guy climbed to draw attention to the closet global warming in 2008. So when did you decide, I mean, at what point was it that you said, I think I can do this? Was that, I mean, was it? Oh, God, God convicted my heart right away.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Those babies were found in March of 2022, and I couldn't think of anything else. It was all I could think of. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't go out. I just kept thinking. Okay, so just a little bit over two years ago, a little bit over two years ago. So a young man in your 20s, what? What is your career track at that point before you decide to become the pro-life Spider-Man?
Starting point is 00:20:14 I was working carpentry building luxury stairs, so huge radius stairs and mansions and stuff like that. And at the same time, I was going to school for finance, set to be a financial planner. And that was kind of the hardest part of taking this leap was I knew that when I climbed these buildings, I was going to be arrested. my name was going to be run all through the newspapers and the internet. And in many ways, I was going to be burning the ships behind me. And so that was my biggest fear, really, was getting arrested. But like I said, my heart was so convicted that right away I started planning to climb the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco. and within two months, I was flying to San Francisco to climb the skyscraper.
Starting point is 00:21:10 And it was crazy because I knew I needed to raise some money to pay photographers and a drone pilot and playing tickets and hotel rooms. And that took me quite a while to raise what I needed. But the morning I woke up to fly to San Francisco, I could not have planned it. It was God's divine providence. That same morning, I look at my phone. and I get this notification, and it says that the Dobbs draft is leaked that is going to overturn Roe v. Wade. I couldn't have planned it. I couldn't have known about it.
Starting point is 00:21:45 It was just divine providence. So when I climbed the Salesforce Tower, it blew it up all into the news. And it was pretty funny because in hindsight now, I know that my original plan was kind of a bad idea. The plan was to climb three skyscrapers in less than a week. and so it was a bad idea because the way the media works, you have to milk each media event as long as you can, right? And then once that's over, you move on to the next. I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:22:15 I was just a climbing bum, so I went for it. And so as soon as they let me out of jail in San Francisco, I got on a plane and I flew to New York, and I climbed the New York Times building. And that one was weird because I climbed it in the morning. I wanted to hang all of these pro-life banners over the building before the reporters got to work and, you know, kind of create this mysterious sort of stunt. And, you know, it's funny because in the morning in New York, nobody looks up.
Starting point is 00:22:46 So I got to the top of the New York Times building and there was no police waiting for me. So I was like, well, I guess I just let myself out the front door then. Wait, this is hilarious. We're going to go away. This is called a cliffhanger, folks. To hear the rest of the story, don't go away. Starting point is 00:25:07 Again, Nutrametics, N-U-T-R-A-M-D-I-X.com. Nutrametics.com. Use the code Eric for 15% off. Welcome back. I'm talking to Mason Deschamp, who is called the Pro Life Spider-Man. Mason, you were just telling us the story. So you climb this skyscraper. This is stunning stuff that you do. Then you fly to New York. You climb the Times building. And in the morning, so you get to the top, there's no cops waiting for you to arrest you. So that seems like maybe you're disappointed.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Yeah, yeah, because in one sense, having an arrest helps with the media, right? Because everything you do as far as activism goes, it's all about the sensationalism of it. So yeah, you climb a skyscraper, but then you add an arrest to it. And the media, they're watching the police reports. So it's almost like free PR every time they arrest me. And so I got to the top of this building and nobody was there waiting. for me. So I'm like, okay, what do I do? I've never had this happen before. So I decided I was just going to let myself out. So I walked down 52 flights of stairs. I didn't want to actually like go
Starting point is 00:26:29 into their building. You know, my goal is never to trespass or, you know, enter their building. So I just walked down the emergency stairs and let myself out the door and walked to my hotel room. And then I got a plane ticket and I flew to Detroit. Wait a minute. You had put these pro-life banners on the Times building? Yeah. So did that get any coverage? That must have gotten coverage.
Starting point is 00:26:56 No. No. No. Oh, because they don't want to. Wow. That is so interesting. So the one banner was a callback to Alon, and I had actually asked him personally if it was okay. It said that abortion kills more than 9-11 every week.
Starting point is 00:27:14 And it was just, you know, a call back to the guy. who had climbed the building before me. Yeah. It's one of those things that climbers, we try to be humble. It's sort of like a samurai ethic, right? So you climb this route, you have to understand that, you know, it was somebody else's vision first. Right. And so that was the idea behind that.
Starting point is 00:27:34 And then the second banner, I had a picture of the baby that I had seen sitting in the Ziploc container. And the caption had said, Dr. Cesari Santagelo killed this baby. and of course the New York Times didn't want to report on it. So nobody reported on this? There were no photos of this? That is so crazy. You know, next time you climb a building in New York, you might want to let us know because I would like to bring as much attention to this.
Starting point is 00:28:02 It's why I'm having you on the program. It's unbelievable. Now, right now, you're in Arizona at a friend's house because you were just arrested for climbing a building where? So the building I had climbed, it was the Chase Tower. I'd climbed it over a year and a half ago, February, oh gosh, of 2023. And normally the way that this works, I believe New York is the only state that has a law against climbing. They call it the Spider-Man law, and that was because of Alon Robert.
Starting point is 00:28:36 But normally the way it works is most of these states, they never thought to make a law, against climbing skyscrapers. Like in Detroit, there's a law that says you cannot lease your pet alligator to a fire hydrant, but there's no law that says you can't climb the Renaissance Center. And so what you're working around is trespassing laws. And the way those work is that normally in most states, they have to come out and trespass you and read you a trespassing statute, at which point you get time to leave before you're breaking the law. So all of my charges in every other state have been dropped or I've won in court.
Starting point is 00:29:17 San Francisco, I was going to win. And so they offered me a plea deal of pleading not guilty in doing 30 hours of community service, at which I just volunteered at a pregnancy center. You are, I mean, look, you're such a hero. I mean, you've been doing this now for two years, more than two years, whatever. you climb skyscrapers. In your notes, it says you climb skyscrapers to raise money for women in crisis pregnancy. So you're bringing attention to the horror of abortion by climbing dangerous skyscrapers. I mean, you know, most people wouldn't dream of doing this.
Starting point is 00:29:58 And you're raising money for crisis pregnancy centers. So where in Arizona are you? What is the tallest building in Arizona that you just climbed? What city? Yeah, so I had climbed the Chase Tower in Phoenix, Arizona, a year and a half ago. Okay. And what had happened was is there was a fence around the building. And when there's a fence, that changes a lot of second-degree trespassing, which I was unaware of,
Starting point is 00:30:27 which makes it so they don't have to read you the statute. And I mean, the fence was waist high. I had stepped over it and climbed the building. and it was my very first criminal offense that I've ever been found guilty of. So you're there now for sentencing, not because you climbed the building recently? Yeah, this was a year and a half ago. And they had given me a plea deal, in which case I was going to receive two years probation. No big deal.
Starting point is 00:30:55 But after I climbed the sphere this February in Las Vegas, you climbed the sphere in Las Vegas? Yeah. I've got to be honest with my audience. That is a building I have not personally climbed myself. I am very impressed. Yeah, I think you could. The sphere was very easy climb, believe it or not.
Starting point is 00:31:15 But what made it difficult was the police reaction. I started climbing it, unfortunately, while the police chief was in the middle of a press conference. And so one of the reporters had asked them, what are they going to do about the guy climbing the sphere right now? And he said, wow. He said he will be arrested. Uh-huh. Yeah. And he never said for what.
Starting point is 00:31:37 He never, you know, sparked an investigation. So they detained me for over five hours, which is against the law. They didn't tell me what crime I broke. And eventually they talked to a security guard who later went on my Instagram and cursed God. But he had said that I broke over $100,000 in lights, which is a total lie. And then they threw me and all of my friends. in jail for felony destruction of property and felony conspiracy. Okay, hang on a second.
Starting point is 00:32:08 We're going to be right back. Folks, I'm talking to the pro-life Spider-Man. Much more when we come back. You might have heard Mike Lindell and My Pillo no longer have the support of their box stores or shopping channels the way they used to. Yes, it's because of cancel culture. But as a result, they get to pass the savings on to you directly by having a $25 extravaganza.
Starting point is 00:32:27 When Mike started My Pillar, it was just a one product company. With the help of his dedicated employees, they now have hundreds of money. products, some you may not even know about. To get the word out, I want to invite my listeners to check out their $25 extravaganza. Two-pack multi-use, MyPillows, just $25. MyPillow sandals, $25. There's six-pack towels, just $25. The amazing offer will not last long. Go to mypill.com. Use promo code. or call 800-978-3057. That's promo code Eric.
Starting point is 00:33:07 800-978-3057-3057 promo-com. promo code Eric or go to MyPillow.com and use promo code Eric. I don't know about you, but I'm talking on the pro-life Spider-Man. Okay, Mason-Degon. Mason-Dichamp. How do you say your last name? De-Sha. De-Shah.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Mason-D-Shah. Not to be confused with Messon-D-Chon. Mason-D-Shah, Pro-Ly-Ly-Man. And if people want to find you, because I am just so excited to finally get you on the program, they can go to the anti-abortionfront.com. Dot org. Theanteabortionfront.org. So that is an organization you've just started, the anti-abortionfront.org, and they can find you there. So how many buildings have you climbed now for the pro-life cause?
Starting point is 00:34:07 I have climbed nine buildings so far for the pro-life cause. And the idea behind it is to create this sensationalism and this media attention that I can redirect into the pro-life movement. Because, you know, climbing buildings really has nothing to do at all with the pro-life movement. But it gets people's attention. It's built a platform that allows me to be able to speak on this issue and stand up for these babies. And so far, we've been able to save, you know, close to the 20, 20 babies from being murdered in the womb. And like I was saying earlier, I just served six days in jail.
Starting point is 00:34:50 The reason was after the sphere, the police had lied about what I had done, and the Rolling Stones wrote articles about it, and they actually, they took a picture. The worship leader of my church was there watching me climb, and he is in handcuffs on the cover of the Rolling Stones website. Rolling Stone magazine is a trashy, left wing. I mean, it's always been kind of pathetic. But I mean, if they write about you negatively, that's a badge of honor. But the fact that you spend six days in jail, that's kind of, it's amazing to me that they would throw the book at you like that. You know, it doesn't really bother me because,
Starting point is 00:35:31 again, if we believe that abortion is murder, then what we're living through is a Holocaust. And so we have to put ourselves in the position of people like Dietrich Bonhofer. I know you know a lot about them. These people who lived through Nazi Germany because we're living through that right now only worse because we don't get to see the victims of abortion. The Jews, we have all of these photos of them being dragged out of their houses, all of this evidence from the concentration camps. And as far as abortion goes,
Starting point is 00:36:07 These children, they are murdered in the womb, and then afterwards, they're taken to a medical waste facility where they are burned for electricity. That's a real thing that they do. Just as people in the Old Testament would burn their children on the altar of Mollock, we are still doing that to this day. And so, really, we can't think about what happens to us. The Bible, it says, love thy neighbor as thyself. So if you think of terms of your own children, what would you do to save your own? children, right? If your neighbor was drowning your son in his pool next door, what would you do to stop him? Would you go over there and physically intervene? Would you trespass on his property
Starting point is 00:36:49 to stop him from murdering? And, you know, I think I would. And if I had to spend, I don't have any children, but I assume that if I did, I would spend a few nights in jail to save their lives if I had to. And so when I go to jail, I can go joyfully because I know that because I'm in there, there are children alive on this earth that would not have been. And, you know, my greatest inspiration are the apostles in the Vax. And everywhere they went, they were beaten, they were stoned, they were beheaded, crucified. And as, you know, about Paul, he was thrown in jail. And Paul, Paul, he didn't really complain about it. He said, I will use this as my testimony.
Starting point is 00:37:36 And then furthermore, he said, to live is Christ and to die his gain. And the truth is, the Bible, it says, though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall fear no evil because thou art is with us. And that jail cell, it's not the valley of the shadow of death. It's really not. But we need to have the courage while we're in there as if it was. because if we can't have the courage to stand up for today against the largest Holocaust of all time, how do we know that we're going to have the courage on the day of judgment?
Starting point is 00:38:09 This is a real thing happening. Babies systematically murdered in the womb every day, probably a couple miles from where the listeners live. The abortion clinic by my house murders over 30 babies a day. A day, just a couple miles down the road for me. Could I not stand up with every drop of sweat in my body? What kind of man in if I don't? What city do you live in when you're not traveling around? Where do you normally live?
Starting point is 00:38:43 I live in Las Vegas. But, you know, honestly, I'm never really home. This has become a full-time job. I think last year from April to November, I was home four days, traveling around and speaking and trying to just raise awareness. I mean, listen, free solo climbing is a scary thing for people like me, and we are concerned for folks like you when you do it. Are you ever concerned that you're pushing your luck, so to speak? No, I don't believe in luck.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Good man. You're an actual Christian. Go ahead. I would never go up on a building if I thought that I couldn't do it. But of course there is always that possibility that something were to happen. That said, if we look towards Scripture as our inspiration, we are soldiers of Christ, and sometimes soldiers, they go off to war and they die. That is a fact.
Starting point is 00:39:43 But, again, looking towards Scripture, if we believe that we have eternal life that was promised to us, how can we be afraid of death? Really, if Jesus promised us eternal life, how can we be so? selfish and so cowardly to be scared of death. I mean, do we not believe the words we say? Well, there are many Christians, and I mean, it's why I wrote my book, Religinalist Christianity. I've come to the conclusion that there are many Christians who don't believe what they claim to believe. When push comes to shove, they don't really, really, really believe it.
Starting point is 00:40:20 And I want to challenge them. You've got to really believe it, folks. It happens to be true, by the way. It's true. And therefore, you should believe it because it's true. But listen, we need to see folks like yourself living out your faith to inspire us to live out our faith. So Mason, I'm just grateful to have you on the program. I'd love to have you back when you climb another building or when you're in the news.
Starting point is 00:40:45 So please stay in touch with us. I want people to go to the anti-abortionfront.org. You can see this young man is living out his faith, putting his money where his mouth is, so to speak. very inspiring. Mason, thank you, and God bless you. Thank you so much, Eric. Hey there, folks. Welcome to the program.
Starting point is 00:41:23 Chris Himes, listen. I just want to say some people do not watch videos of this. Yeah, that's true. So those people who are listening now via radio or podcast cannot see that I have a Trump spray on tan. They can't see that. And I'm glad they can't see that. Yeah, I believe it's, I don't know, Cheeto Orange is the color. They also can't see that I'm wearing so much hair product because when my hair gets a little too long, I have to like glue it down.
Starting point is 00:41:52 Yeah. Because this morning I had a little crisis. I call up my barber, Angelo Spiotta. Yeah. Angelo Spiotto. Spiotta Salon. If you come to New York and you want the greatest haircut ever, you go to Angelo at Spiotta Salon. It's on 38th Street. S-P-I-O-T-A, right?
Starting point is 00:42:13 This morning I called up, Angelo's in Europe. What? And I don't know if I'm going to be able to get a haircut. This is a real problem for me. I've been going to him for 26 years. Yeah. And now as you've gotten older, your hair's gotten more unwieldy.
Starting point is 00:42:27 It gets more and more difficult to cut. Yeah. All right. It's like a wild stallion. Let's move on here. We have some important things to share. I'm sorry. I apologize, folks.
Starting point is 00:42:38 But this is a Trump sprayer. on tan. We have a couple things to mention here. I want to mention our friends at Americans for Prosperity. They are again on the front lines fighting against the border crisis. Did you know that there was a border crisis? Did you know that the Biden administration is allowing millions of strangers into the country to destroy the America we love?
Starting point is 00:43:05 Did you know that, folks? I hope you're going to vote in November, by the way. I hope you care about your country. But it's clear the politicians aren't going to solve this on their own. It's going to take good old-fashioned grassroots activism. And that's what Americans for Prosperity specializes in. The Americans for Prosperity Foundation has taken hundreds of concerned citizens to see the border for themselves, turning them into informed activists.
Starting point is 00:43:26 We need that, folks. Everybody needs to become an informed activist. And they're helping underscore what we need at the border, more border agents, more walls, more technology, mobilizing people. They've just announced a major campaign to hold Biden and his allies accountable for the crisis at the border, which they created. You can learn more at SecureBorder, SecureAmerica.com. That's secureborder secure America.com. Chris, yeah, it's scary down there.
Starting point is 00:43:55 It's ironic that it's Sleepy Joe because he seems fond of sleeper cells. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Read them bedtime stories. I was just going to crack the same joke, but then I rejected it as insufficiently funny. I want to ask you, I'm going to be posting some. stuff on Instagram. And if you do not get my newsletter, Eric Mataxis.com, you got to sign up for the newsletter. Sign up quickly because you'll miss tomorrow's post. But we're putting out the Socrates event we had the other night. We're going to be posting photos. There were a lot of people there.
Starting point is 00:44:26 I looked out in the audience. Yeah, I was full. And I was freaked out. My brother was there. Yeah. I was thrilled to see my brother there and lots of like really old friends that I haven't seen in a while. And for security, they had a thing that we've never had before there. They had a barricade, a little like they had a barricade. And when your brother jumped over to give you Nugie halfway through, it was uncomfortable. But they did have a barricade. They had a barricade. No, it was very interesting.
Starting point is 00:44:51 I mean, the whole thing was crazy. There was like extra, extra security there. Anyway, thanks for listening. Don't forget to support our friend Mike Lindell. Go to mypill.com. Use the code Eric. Mike Lindel, mypillow. com.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Use the code Eric. Everywhere I go, I meet homeschoolers. They are the most mature, socially mature, educated, bright young people that I ever meet. And so everywhere I go, I get the opportunity. I say it, you should homeschool your kids. Get them out of these satanic Marxist indoctrination camps that we call the public education system. Get them either in quality Christ-centered K-12 education or in homeschooling. People say, how do I do that?
Starting point is 00:45:37 well, I'm here to tell you, the folks at the Herzog Foundation are here to help you. There's no catch. The folks at the Herzog Foundation are good people. We know them. And they exist to help people do quality price-centered K-12 education. Go to Herzog Foundation.com. Please look them up. They're just delightful and they're there to help.
