Right. Well, I mean, if you call the lawsuit reaching out to them, then yes, we're reaching out to Target. And I mean, as it were, faith-based asset managers, as you said, we have, most people know us for our exchange traded funds,

a kit fund in your stock exchange that help you invest in line of biblical conservative values. We have financial advisors around the country that work with folks. And part of that work as stewards of over $3 billion at this point, that's all managed according to these conservative biblical values, is that we have a duty to speak truth to these corporations that we're investing in and make sure that they're being held accountable for the results and returns they're giving to their shareholders, our clients, many of your listeners. And so a company like Target in 2003 when they had that just horrendous,

horrendously aggressive LGBT pride campaign that just went, you know, bonkers in a bunch of different ways and resulted in $10 billion of shareholder capital lost in the ensuing sell-off to their stock and damage to their brand and on and on and on. Well, what happened was they knowingly took risks to have such an aggressive in-your-face campaign targeting children and all the things that we know were just so heinous about that campaign. And yet they did not make fair and honest disclosure to their shareholders about the risk that they knew they were taking. And I'm going to tell you, Robert, just to interrupt, this is fascinating to me, what you just said. That's so interesting that they are pursuing an insane woke policy and they do

not tell the people that are invested in them what they're doing. They're just doing it, basically. They're burning money, that's not their money. Right. Right. And so part of the lawsuit, you can go and find information on it. If people want to dig into it, there's some public disclosure about it now. We just want a major case in the step of progress in this lawsuit the other day where, you know, Target is had filed to dismiss this case or at least move to Minnesota where the courts are much more favorable to them. And for a number of reasons, that's where they're headquartered, much more, you know, perhaps favorable environment up there for them. But the judge, after months of deliberation and arguing in the court and hearing oral arguments

has sided with us, America's First Legal is doing a phenomenal job, trying this case for us. And not only did they say that the case must be tried, but it's going to be tried in Florida where our clients who are holding these shares reside. as it should be. And, you know, it's, it's a warning shot to companies all over the place that you can't just, you know, go to Vegas with your shareholder returns to advance your ideological, you know, fancies or whatever you want to call them. And here to Target, it's, I mean, they're being held to account. I think they just thought they could get away with it, that they could do what they wanted to do. Some of the internal dialogue that's coming out as a result of the discovery through this lawsuit. is just showing that they knew that they were taking risks and that they were kind of excited about going all in and what they call an aggressive campaign. They had this saying mantra now or so, you know, it's a sort of very enlightening sort of things that you would imagine if you were writing a fiction novel of going,

you know, going on an evil corporation trying to, you know, push an agenda that thought they were above the law. That's the kind of thing that seems to have been going on in Target. And we're going to get the facts in a lawsuit and they're going to be held accountable. And so far, the justice system is doing his job. And we're thrilled with the recent decision by the courts to U.S. District Court to make sure that this case gets tried in Florida. Robert Nitzley, you guys are heroes. And that's just wrong. And they, and if they're going to do that, they at least need to make fair and full disclosure about the risks to the shareholders,

I've got to tell you, I am so interested in this. I cannot wait. It is called the enemy within, which doesn't really tell you much. Matthew Thayer, welcome to this program. Well, thank you, Eric. It's good to see you again, my friend. Good to see you, too. And we were just saying off the air,

amazingly, the day I was with you, the last day that I was with you, it was January 10th. of this year. And the reason I remember that is about an hour before we were hanging out, my brother called me up and to tell me my dad, my sweet dad had just gone to be with Jesus. And so it's like one of those things you'll never forget it. And we were together in Texas. Amazing to think that's so long ago. But that's the last I saw you and you've been busy. I've been busy. You've been busy. You made a film. So tell my audience,

They know nothing. I haven't, I haven't spoiled this. Okay. What is the enemy within? What is this? It's really a docu-series. What is this? It's a, it's a docu-drama. It actually came to us right after we met. I was handed some material and asked if we could do a documentary. And it's about Patrick Byrne. And if people don't remember who Patrick Byrne is, usually people remember that he was the overstock CEO and he was the founder of overstock.com for those of us that are old enough to remember the battle between overstock and Amazon back in the early 2000s. And so, but what happened was in

2019, he came on the air on Fox News and essentially said, hey, I've been a part of the Russia collusion narrative. I've been a part of Clinton investigations. I'm actually a secret government asset, kind of a non-government asset, if you will, that helps to gather, you know, information abroad because of his unique situation as a tech CEO, he would be invited into all of these different situations. And so there have been several times in the past where he's helped the FBI to, you know, get stuff on the bad guys. And he basically came out in 2019 and said that he put together himself that what he

was being used for was political espionage, which all kind of, you know, for most of your audience probably understand that conversation to be around Russiagate, you know, and the Trump spying and all of the things that happened there. But what Patrick basically shows is that this was actually happening far before Trump even became down the escalator, and that they were, the FBI, it seems to be, was setting up espion, basically setting up a narrative that, I would help control both parties, whether it was Republican or Democrat. I'm sorry, what? Okay.

All right. So you're one of these conspiracy theorists. Here's the good news, Matthew. So am I, because there are actual conspiracies. I prefer to think of them as kooky theories, but in the last few years, we have seen mostly to our horror that they're true. And so I should just clarify for my audience. Patrick Byrne is someone I've met a number of times.

He was on this show a few years ago. One of the principal figures in this story is Maria Bettina. I've had two meals with Maria and a mutual friend before any of this stuff broke. It's insane stuff. It's the stuff of which movies are made. So thank the Lord you made a film about this. Also, Patrick Byrne, I mean, to be clear, you know, you don't get to be like a billionaire tech CEO without being a genius. He's absolutely brilliant.

But so, yeah, in 2019, he decides to kind of go public with this and say something funny is going on. Like, here I am. I'm trying to do. I'm trying to help my, I was trying to help my government. But now I suspect I was a tool that there are dark forces that are really. I mean, dark is a nice word for it. Really evil, evil forces. So just give us the parameters of this film that you've made.

It's a three-part series. It's a three-part docu-series. And so it's episode one, two, and three. And it covers, you know, early life Patrick, you know, kind of when he discovered that, you know, he's got this kind of insane memory and some of his fight with Wall Street in actually bringing about some reforms to the SEC when digital trading kind of came around

and they were doing some shenanigans there. And then kind of sets up this, you know, like you pointed out, this, he meets Maria. He meets Maria happenstance at a conference in Vegas. And then all of a sudden the FBI is interested in her and his handlers are starting to ask about her and he's trying to report what's going on and some of the stuff's kind of fishy

and he's just not quite putting all the pieces together. and then it takes them all the way through that process. So the three-part docket series is just set up to, you know, kind of show who Patrick is, and then what was happening here in the middle, and then kind of the aftermath in episode three, which is, you know, he finds out, he discovers that this is what's going on. And so he's trying to alert the media, alert people inside of the government, and all of it just seems to be falling on deaf ears.

This is one of these things that, again, the mind boggles at the evil, at the stuff that you wouldn't really dream, it really happens. But it happens. It happened. I know people involved. And listen, to cut to the chase, Maria Bettina was they tried to set her up to portray her as some like Russian spy who's trying to infiltrate the Trump administration. I mean, that's the basic background of this, right? Yes.

Yes. It was that, you know, Maria and Patrick were both used by our government and that narratives were crafted. And that's one of the things that was interesting to me as a storyteller was that you actually have people behind the scenes crafting reality as a story and selling that to people through the media, you know, creating bad guys and creating perceptions of reality that actually ultimately end up being completely fabricated. And so it's really interesting to me as a storyteller to watch that happen in real space. The stuff that I do on a screen, people are actually actively doing behind the scenes. through these intelligent apparatuses. I mean, I can't say it enough. This is evil, ladies and gentlemen.

This is evil. This is a subversion of America. And I'm glad, Matthew, that you've decided to make a film about it. And I know we'll be talking to Patrick Byrne himself about this. But at what point did you kind of wake up to the idea that this stuff is going on. Because if somebody had said to me, you know, like four years ago, that there's a deep state and there, da, da, da, da, I was said, well, wait, wait a minute.

You know, it's like there's this rolling revelations. And it's a process of waking up to this. At least it was for me where, because part of us, good Americans don't want to believe that this could happen in America. You just don't want to believe it. This could happen in Russia. this could happen in the Soviet Union, this could happen and whatever. Not in America. The FBI, oh, they're good guys.

These people are fighting for liberty and for the American way. And you realize, no, they have become the enemies of liberty and the American way. They are satanic forces within. That's why the title of the film is the enemy within. But it's, I always say it's hard for most people to process that this stuff goes on, which is why it's so important that folks like you, tell these stories. But when did you wake up to this? When did the story come to you? Well, I'm kind of OG, actually. I was around conversations about this type of stuff since I was

about seven years old. Excuse me. What is OG? Well, old school. So it's like I'm actually been around for about four decades, been around conversations like this. My dad was aware of a lot of these types of things. And so when this type of stuff comes up, I'm not super surprised about it. What encourages me is people like yourself or, you know, like I was, we actually, one of the things that we did in this film was we had to reenact a lot of scenes. And I got some amazing actors that we had a casting call, about 3,000 people responded and got some amazing actors. And the FBI, one of the FBI agents, he just begged to be a part of it. There was a scheduling conflict that we had to work out with his agent, but he was begging to be a part of this project. And he kept coming up to me during the

whole process and going, we're doing something really important. Like, we're doing something really important. So this is a good guy, FBI. FBI who wants to tell, who wants the truth to come out? No, no, no. This is an actor playing. Oh, I'm sorry. The guy who played. Okay. Yeah, you have to understand. Like, we've casted this thing like a film. So it's basically half film, half documentary. Yeah. So it's Patrick telling these stories. And then all of a sudden, we go into these scenes where there's an actor playing Patrick, there's an actor playing Maria, there's an actor playing these FBI agents. You can see it at Salem now.com. Matthew, again, my mind boggles at this stuff, at the evil, because, you know, there are layers, or let me put it this way. There are different types of lies, like they're basic lies,

And then there are deep, nefarious, complex, false narratives. It's a level of lying. You just think like, who would do that? So what is your overall take? In other words, that who is it the intelligence agencies that decide that they want to do this? Were they the ones creating this narrative? You know, it's really hard. That's one of the things that's really hard to put your finger on is who is they?

You know what I mean? When people talk about, though, they are doing it. this or they're setting this up. And I honestly don't know the answer to that. I think that we're getting closer as the story that Patrick tells and that we do in the enemy within kind of shows is that some of these FBI agents that Patrick was dealing with, he even talks about in the documentary and we also demonstrate it through the acting and the scenes that we created, is that these guys, these lower level guys don't know.

Like they're not, they're, they're just as ignorant as Patrick was at one point thinking like, hey, we're doing good work, we're doing good police work, and they're being told one thing. But then it seems to be those that are higher up are actually, you know, calling the shots, right? And then who's behind above them? You know, who's above them? I don't know. But it's getting closer. We're starting to kind of be able to, through attrition, be able to say like, okay, these rank and file guys, a lot of them don't even know. what's going on. And so, and are just, you know, kind of wise to this themselves. Okay. See, that's what's so horrifying, right, is that you have people being manipulated. I mean, what is worse? Let's be clear. I speak as a Christian man, manipulating people, lying to people, putting them in positions, just using them like tools. It's really wicked. And then, of course, in this case, the idea behind it is to create a lying national. to lie to the American people, to lie to them so brazenly that everybody in America is talking about something that's not true. You have news covering this Russia situation, and then eventually

you realize it was all lies. It was all set up. Hillary Clinton and others, they participated in creating this narrative, and they hobbled the presidency of Donald Trump, who was was elected by the American people. We elected him to do what he said he was going to do. And then you have these dark forces unelected trying to hobble him and largely succeeding. The only good news, Matthew, is that this information is finally getting out. By the grace of God, through films like this, the truth is getting out and more and more Americans, not all yet, for sure, but more and more Americans are understanding what has been going on. Yeah, absolutely.

And I think that's one of the powers of film, you know, is like it's not always that, you know, for example, people that are listening to you, they, you know, you guys have had conversations around this type of stuff. And so some of this might be old hat. But like you just said, neighbors, family members, they might just be waking up to this. I had a conversation the day after the election. I meant with a woman who was very excited that Trump won very much. ardent supporter, but when I mentioned the deep state, she had never heard that term. And so the fact that people out there who are supporting the president still don't understand deep state, they don't understand, you know, the enemy within, right? It's like, then this is the type of film, because my first

goal, 100% all the time is not, my first goal is not to present truth. My first goal is to entertain. And I want to entertain people and I want people to watch the film. I want them to feel like they were, they got some catharsis out of it. There's an emotional roller coaster. But then I want to present truth very closely behind that. And so, and so this is one of those films that you can take to your neighbor or you can take to your family member and say, hey, let's watch this. This is really good.

And you're going to see when, when Donald Trump talks about the enemy within, you're going to see an example of what that means. It's, it's unbelievable stuff. And I think that, you know, I, I want to. want to just say as somebody who wants to entertain and tell the truth myself, sometimes if you tell the truth correctly, it is inherently entertaining. People are fascinated when they learn things, especially when they learn things that are vitally important to their lives. This is vitally important to the lives of every American. And what it makes me think about, too, is that we've been

lazy and sloppy. We had our head, we had our eyes off the ball in America. I wrote a book called If You Can Keep It. That's the famous phrase from Benjamin Franklin that it's a republic if you can keep it. And you, that's we the people are charged with the task of keeping the republic. And to keep the republic means you need to be involved. You need to care about liberty. You need to care about truth. Now, some people are going to, you know, they're professionally into caring about these things.

but every single American has a responsibility to do his part. Every single one of us has a piece. And I think a lot of us, we were sold this lie. I always think of George W. Bush after 9-11 saying, oh, you know, don't worry about it. Just go shopping and help the economy. And I think, no, that's wrong. That is wrong. We are each of us.

We have skin in the game. We are supposed to care about the nation. We're supposed to care about truth. We're supposed to care about this stuff. And we're supposed to do our part. In World War II, everyone did their part. People had victory gardens. Everybody pitches in.

That's the only way you keep the Republic. That's the way you preserve self-government and liberty. And I think what has happened in the last few years has awakened many people to, okay, I need to know more. I need to be involved more. I need to be a part of the solution. and her dad and her two brothers were all victims of a raid on their village in the Sudanese Civil War. they were harshly rounded up. Their house was burned in front of them as they were forced to march towards Sudan. The Sudan, and now we have two countries, Sudan and South Sudan, but it was all one Sudan at the time, but into the north, they were forced to march. And she witnessed her father and her brothers both be shot and killed in front of her as a six-year-old girl. she endured seeing her mother be gang raped at the hands of multiple Sudanese Arab jihadis that just took sport in it. It wasn't anything caring or nice at all. It was just, we're just doing it for fun.

And out of that, she was taken to a village in the north, and then she was immediately sold from one slave master to another slave master. So she ended up kind of being ping ponged away from her sisters and her mother. And she spent the next 17 years being ritually raped, abused, physically beaten, verbally accosted, starved much of the time. There was nothing more than crumbs for most days. If she ever spoke up to defend herself, it was more beatings, it was more lashings. When she reached the age of adulthood, she was told that in order to be a good Muslim woman, she had to go down to the little creek that was behind where the Flavmasters house was.

She was given the rusted lid of a tid can, and she was told to circumcise herself. And I'm trying to be as family-friendly as I can for those that are listening. But the idea that she had any autonomy, any sovereignty over her own decisions, any ability in her own life to speak for herself, was robbed from her. And as time went by, she grew very depressed. She was raped repeatedly by not only the slave master, but the slave master's son. And in the process, became pregnant on more than one occasion. In the process of having those children, she weaned them, and then the slave master took them from her. So even the child that God had put inside of her body she was not allowed to have. And then at one point in time, she was out retrieving water on a

very hot day, and a CSI Arab retriever was there. He spotted her. He could kind of tell by looking at her that she was a slave. He engaged in negotiations with her owner. He was able to secure her release. She was able to be liberated in a CSI liberation push. She was able to go back to South Sudan where the first stop on the way back. They go to a recovery camp where they're given medical attention, counseling. They're allowed to remember their name. Many of their names have been changed from their Christian name to their Muslim name. They're allowed to tell their story and write it down so they have a history of what they've been through. They're allowed to take the time needed to eat, to regain strength, to have medical things done if needed, to talk to counselors, et cetera. And then after that

period of that season, and it's different for almost every slave that comes in, but after that season is kind of completed, then they're given what's called the bag of hope, and that's what the $250 provides. But it's not just a bag. It's way more than a bag, because you get a year's worth of sorghum grain. You get a years worth of seed to plant for the following seasons years worth of sorghum grain. And then you get everything you need to start your life, tarps, blankets, utensils to garden and cook and clean and fish with. You get a Bible that's hopefully in your language. You get blankets to keep you cool in the time when the nights get very cold. There's a whole host of things that you're given, and not the least of which is, the last thing is a she-goat.

Now, many times that she-goat can be mated with a male goat back in the village, wherever you're relocated at. And guess what? Two goats plus time makes more goats. So over time, you actually develop a little micro-enterprise for that person. And at the end of this, when they're given this package, then they are helped to be transported down to wherever their home is in South Sudan. and the party just begins.

The church, the village, the family members, if there are any left, if not former slaves that live in the same area, all come together. They have, they have, it's like the prodigal son on steroids. They cannot stop rejoicing that a slave has been released and returned home. I cannot believe this. I mean, folks, what more do you need to hear? Go to metaxis talk.com, please. Kevin, you just told us such an amazing story. And I have to say... I just told you the first part of it. There's still more of it. There's more? Okay. Yeah. It is so moving to me that we get to do something about this, which is why I exhort my audience.

Folks, take advantage of this. Please take advantage of this. I don't know what you can give. I will say it again, anybody that can give big, like $15,000, which would free 60 slaves. I will, you know, spend the evening with you, have dinner. we can do this any place around the country. I just can offer my time and my evenings, which have become insanely rare that I get to do this. But I will do this. whatever you can afford, this is so beautiful. $250 does everything. So, Kevin, continue with the story. You've just got three minutes. But so, Abuk, she went through the entire process. And as she was being released and she got to the camp and she got her stuff together. She said to the staff, what about the others? And as rejoicing as she was and as happy as she was to be back in her homeland and to be headed home to see her family, she was very, very concerned about the other slaves that were still there. Now, just up until about two years ago, CSI had no way of getting a child that had been born in slavery released. But as of two years ago, we have now had a few dozen of those children located and returned to their mothers to join them in their life in the homeland of South Sudan.

And so that's part of what's going on. There's another friend of Abooks that was liberated in the same liberation group as she was. And she was actually pregnant as she was being released. And she told the CSI worker at the border camp, she said, I don't have anything held against. against the baby that's in my body. God gave me this baby. My slave master made me pregnant, but God gave me this baby. And he's a gift.

And I will spend my life being his good mother if God allows me to have him. These are the lives that you're stepping into. These are the women who have had for years, prayers, secret, private prayers that they had to pray in private asking God to liberate them, to free them, to give them their lives back. And many of them say, I didn't know if God would answer my prayer, but they have been answered and they are being answered. And before the end of the year, Eric, your listeners can take assurance of this. There is one more liberation that is just around the corner. We cannot release details on when it will happen or how it will happen or anywhere for the safety of those involved.
