discovering the ways of the spirit for the last days. And Mike, I'm like a broken record, but I keep having to say, this is heavy stuff. For most people, they think, what? Is this guy crazy? What's he talking about? And, you know, I've gotten to know you and I've listened to you. And you're so, you know, I always say you're very sober-minded down to earth. But before we go on, were you at what point in your life?

I know you were called to the ministry very young, about 50 years ago, I guess. But you, at what point did God start speaking to you in these dramatically strong? supernatural ways. Because for most people, this is this is not normative. And I imagine it was something that began quite a while ago for you. Oh, yes, it did. You know, it's been a building progressive kind of situation in my life. I didn't start here. But you know, when I was 19 years of age, I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. I'd been a Christian since I was about 11. I was raised in Southern Baptist denomination in a church. And then my parents had received the baptism,

the Holy Spirit, charismatic experience. And they were asked to leave the church. And so through connection with my parents, I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. And at that moment, and by the way, it was C.K. and I had just gotten married. and she received the baptism. I received the baptism.

And that's immediately that night, these kind of things began to happen. And from there on, the gifts of the Holy Spirit were operating. And we would know things about people that we couldn't have known in the physical realm at all. It's just something on the inside would rise up, or we would see a flash of something. maybe somebody's back. I don't know how to describe it.

You know, I do a very good job in the Lions Army of going through. I would encourage people telling them how to walk in the spirit, what the ways of the spirit are, how he moves. It's the most in-depth teaching that I've ever done. I feel that on the inside of me right now. I don't know if visibly people can see, but the reason I'm explaining this is the inorning of God, is on me right now in such a way that it's like vibrating on the inside as I speak this.

And it usually indicates to me, Eric, that what's happening is that there's a lot of people that this is penetrating deep within their being. And the Holy Spirit is beginning to speak to them and move upon them in supernatural ways. They're going to experience things that they haven't experienced before. the depth of the Spirit of God moving in their lives. So I just wanted to encourage them. If you particularly right now, there may be some that are saying, oh, this guy is off his rocker.

He forgot his medication this morning. There may be some of you, but there are some of you that are saying, I can feel it. There are many of you that are captivated by what I'm saying, and it's not me. It's not my words. It's the Holy Spirit that is moving upon you. with this. And so I just grew over the years. I just learned these things by experience and, of course, by the

Word of God. Well, there's so much to get into. And I have to say, I mean, I had the baptism in the Holy Spirit just a few months after I was born again in 1988. And it's so funny, Mike, because I kind of thought, oh, this is what happens to everybody who's born again. You know, you accept Jesus and then you get baptized in the Holy Spirit and you have dreams. and visions and all this great stuff, speaking tongues, whatever. And I was in a group of people in a church that this was normative. But then I realized as I moved on in the faith a couple of years later that there's some people that not only do that, have they not experienced this, they're hostile to it.

They think it's not biblical, whatever, you know. And I, it's, I guess on some level I feel sorry for them because it's like God has so much for us, you know, and it's beautiful when you hear from God or when you move in this kind of stuff. And I want so much more that I haven't had a fraction of a fraction of what you're describing. But so there's something else I want to talk about as we talk through all this and you can go anywhere. But it was some time, was it in 2015 that the Lord spoke to you about Donald Trump? What year was that? Oh, yeah. Well, the very first time actually was 2007. And what happened is that the Lord spoke to me. C.K. and Brian and I, Brian is our son. He's

my administrator. And we were after a service just sitting in the living room and the Lord spoke to me. We were discussing some very important things about the future of our ministry. And he said very loudly, very loudly. I could hear it. It's like he was standing in the room. And he said, what would Donald Trump do? And it caught my attention. And I went, what? What would Donald Trump do? I knew who Donald Trump was.

So I shared with C.K. and Brian, and we said, okay, there's something about Donald Trump. Okay. But I mean, let's be clear. This is 2007. This is eight years before he said. says he's going to run for president. And I know, well, keep going, but that's, that's astonishing. 2007. I think, Eric, that it also was the same year that Kim Clement had his prophecies of, you know, the trumpet. Yeah. And Donald Trump. But so then we fast forward and we go up to April of

2016. There were, you know, the primaries were still going on for, you know, the primaries were still going on for the Republican side and for the, you know, presidency. And there were still a number of people. And I was in a prayer meeting. And the Lord, I might as well be bold and just say it. An angel appeared to me. And the angel said, the dogs of hell have been released against. the one with the hand of the Lord on him. And at that moment, he superimposed right in front of me in vision form, Donald Trump's face. And he said, I want you to pray against, and talk about the dogs of hell, pray against false witness, hatred, and murder. False witness is all the lies, the fabrications, the attacks coming against the man.

Hatred, visceral, hatred. illogical. And then murder. He was talking about not only as we found out recently, they would try to physically murdering, but character assassination, destroying family, destroying business, destroying anything.

He said, speak truth and justice into the atmosphere, and we, talking about the angels, will break the spiritual teeth, the power of the enemy that's against him. That shook me to my core. And I didn't know what to do with it. Eric, I didn't know what to do with it. Eric, I went home and wrestled with it, counseled with my wife. And she said, you know, you got to tell it,

because I didn't want to tell anybody. You know, I was raised in this environment before that where you don't use your ministry for political advantage or, you know, you teach people the word of God and then let them make their own decision according to their own morals, integrity, the word of God, etc. And so I didn't know what to do. Finally, I went to bed and I woke up in the morning and the Lord spoke to me. And he said, if you don't share this vision, you'll never step forward into the next level of your ministry. You'll stagnate. You'll be stuck here. So the next Sunday morning, I did it live stream and told the world that Donald Trump was the one. that God's hand is on for the office of the presidency. you got political, quote unquote, with great trepidation. You were not like, yeah, let's go. And I think there are a lot of people out there who maybe aren't where we are politically or spiritually, they think that, you know, we're licking our lips just psyched to do politics instead of talk about God. And it's just the opposite. You don't want to, but you feel God pushing you to because it's the Lord's will. And as you step into it, as you have, you realize this really is the Lord's will.

This is God trying to speak in history. He's a God of reality. He's not some ethereal, theological God. He speaks into our lives. He's a God of history. He speaks into history. But when you did talk about Trump in that way, you, as you've just shared, you were very reluctant because you knew that, you know, just as you said that the dogs of hell, have been unleashed on Donald Trump.

The same dogs of hell, these demonic forces of false witness and murder, whatever, will be leased on anyone who says what God is saying. It's the same thing. It's warfare. But the Lord has called us and prepared us and made us for this warfare, which is why it's important that people understand it. I hope they'll get your books so that they can understand that this is what God has made us to do. This is not extra credit.

This is what the Lord has created us to do. So, okay, so you're at this moment in April 2016, and you go public with this. Did you lose people? I hope not, but I imagine sometimes people, they just don't get this. They're hostile. Well, you always have the trolls, you know, and you get people who doubt. But no, actually, the reverse happened, is that all of a sudden now, all of the people that felt the same way. kind of came out of the woodwork, came out of hiding.

And it's like, wow, okay. And so the ministry began to grow. In fact, that particular live stream, I think, hit about on Facebook and on YouTube, a couple of different, it hit about 350,000 views in just a few months because people wanted to know. Yeah. And so that pushed me out there to where I had to start talking about it a whole lot. more. I didn't want to, but I am so glad that I did because it's been totally true. And you know what

happened is that through all of this, we're in a point now, Eric, to where we actually are in a new Christian era. I believe it with everything that's in me and the Lord has revealed to me. You know what's happened? We talked about the darkness of the last four years. On November 5th of 24, the election day, the darkness was broken. At that particular point, it came to a head, and Donald Trump was elected again for this second term, the what I call the ruling political spirit of Jezebel, the idolatry in our nation was broken, not that it was completely taken away, but its power and its control was diminished. It was broken.

And at that point then, when something is broken like that, we've got to have something to go into. It's kind of like the children of Israel, you know, when they were in bondage in Egypt with Moses. He led them out, and the Bible says that God led them out of Egypt, but then they had to be led into the promised land. There was a wilderness part, but led into the promised land. So on January 20th, during inauguration day of this year, we were led into something new. It's a new day. We've watched the speed of Trump and just been amazed, but the speed of God is faster. The speed of God is more profound.

What Donald Trump is doing in draining the swamp in Washington, D.C., is more than just draining the swamp. He is shifting and changing everything because the hand of the Lord is on him for this. But I wanted people to understand that the spiritual shift and this new Christian era and all that we're going into right now is not because of what Donald Trump is doing. The reverse is true. He's doing that because of what's happening in the spiritual realm, what the body of Christ is accomplishing now. and what the move and the outporn of the Spirit of God is bringing. And so it's important for us.

That's why in the book on the Lions Army, the first couple of chapters deal with the vision. It deals with this whole principle of the floating, free-floating and cyclical warfare that's going on. I described the shriekers and the screamers, and then lying unity, and then the punishers and the enforcers. And so we've seen those.

It's free-floating that demonic strategies is not ascribed to any specific set of circumstances. They're looking for something to attach themselves to. We saw it not only in President Trump's election in 2016 and then continuing, but also in Justice Kavanaugh's hearings, the BLM riots, the overturning of Roe versus Wade, now the anti-Semitic anti-Israel riots. And then, of course, with now Trump's new administration and everything, what do you, it's just, there's demonic spirits behind all of those attacks. You turn on the TV and you try to, every day we see something new that Donald,

Trump has done, and then we hear all of what, the shriekers and the screamers coming out and moving against it. This is all spiritually induced. We're still in the warfare. And we are entering now a real time the Lord told me is going to be four years of radical change, radical evangelism, radical prosperity. Everything is shifting, everything that can be shift. Everything that can be shaken, will be shaken. And that's true in the church and in the spiritual realm. Now, that's exciting to me because what it means is that we are now entering, I believe, the greatest spiritual awakening, the greatest revival and mass evangelism that we have ever seen numerically. Now, this kind of thing has been prophesied for decades.

decades, but it really does seem like we're here. I have to say, there's, it kind of, I mean, it's sort of funny because Trump, he seems to me, to my mind, to be inadvertently prophetic. I think sometimes that somebody's just talking, but the Lord is speaking through them without them knowing. I think the same is true when Abraham Lincoln spoke about a new birth of freedom. He was speaking prophetically. He didn't realize it. And there's something happening right now that, again, apart from God, what do people say? People use these terms like they say, oh, it's a vibe shift. Those are just weasel words. They're meaningless words. What is a vibe shift? It's an attempt to describe something that is a spiritual shift. This is a spiritual shift. In the heavenlies, something has happened,

but people don't have that vocabulary. So it's a vibe shift. You know, we're winning now. Okay, why are we winning now? Why are we suddenly winning? Well, because it's like the other side has been cursed. They can't, I mean, it reminded me watching the Super Bowl a few weeks ago. Sometimes you just think, wow, that team can't get it right.

That team can't do it wrong. It's sort of a strange thing when you see it so clearly. That's the season we're in right now. I mean, I find it almost funny. the idea that Trump would deputize warrior after warrior, I mean, from Cash Patel to Pete Hegseth to Pam Bondi to RFK Jr., every one of them is a warrior prepared to war, not just to play patty cake the way many people, many politicians have in the past.

This is something new, and it's exciting and it's amazing. And apart from God, I want to say this clearly, folks, apart from God, it doesn't work. Apart from God, it fails, but the Lord has decided. We've just got a minute left in this segment, Mike, if you want to react to that. Oh, yeah, I totally believe that because everything that occurs in the natural realm is actually a product of what's already happened in the spiritual realm. It's a spirit that drives the natural. And so what we see is that with Donald Trump and all of the energy that he has, and like you said, all the warriors and all that. It's because of the spiritual warfare that's happening. This is God designed, absolutely. And so it's a thrilling day to be alive in.

I mean, it really is. And I think, maybe we'll talk about this in the next segment, but I think a lot of Christians are kind of addicted to defeatism. They really believe, theoretically, like everything's getting bad and the Lord's coming back, just going to get worse. And you think, well, yeah, maybe, but maybe not. If the Lord has not said that, don't go along with that. But there are a lot of people that they've really attached themselves to that narrative,

to that negativity. And again, if that's what the Lord is saying, you say, praise the Lord. That's what it is. But if he's not saying that, there's so many that really seem almost to prefer that narrative. They're not used to winning. It makes them uncomfortable. We'll be right back talking to Mike Thompson. I have read it, and I was privileged to write the forward to it because it's just so important. Mike, thank you for, you know, for being so faithful. And you were just talking in the last segment about we're in the beginnings of a great revival. And it does seem to be the case. You have lots of figures, public figures,

giving thanks to Jesus, giving thanks to God, whatever. If you've paid attention to the culture, you realize this is not normal. This is something new. It is new. And yes, public figures, even on the Internet, you know, we're talking about social media and stuff. How many influencers right now are returning to the church, returning the first love, preaching Jesus, you know? And it's just amazing. And that's just the tip.

that's just the top of the iceberg, as it were, because there's this in the spiritual realm and throughout America, indeed the world. But there is this ground swell, as it were, this thing that's happening where people are just turning their hearts to God. You know, that's what spiritual awakening is about. We talk about revival, revival where the church is revived and people see that and they're excited about it and the church is reaching out. but the spiritual renewal that's happening now is it's like the Holy Spirit is just flowing through society. And people's hearts now are being liberated. They looked at all of the darkness that happened over the last four years and felt total deception. And so now where is the truth?

Their hearts are changed. Their hearts are open. People are coming to the Lord everywhere right now, Eric. It's amazing. Praise God. It is amazing. And I have to be honest, I hardly thought that I would ever see such a thing, even though I knew, I knew, you know, thanks to you know, you're trying to track with the Holy Spirit. I knew that it was the Lord's will that Trump would win re-election.

But I really thought that the battle would be much worse even before his inauguration. but the idea that all these folks have been approved to serve, you know, in his cabinet and so on and so forth, that's just astonishing to me. It is absolutely astonishing. We haven't mentioned Elon Musk. These are warriors. And, you know, most of the folks that I've mentioned, they're not born-again believers in the way that we are, but God is using them. And, of course, it is my hope that they will come to faith, that we will see many of them come to faith. faith. I just have a sense that that's what God is doing. Yeah, I agree with you totally. It is the age

of the warrior. It is the time of the warrior. Now, I'm a warrior. I always have been. And you're a warrior. I've always been amazed at, you know, your facet, your ministry, your reach, your life, your vocation, all of the things about you. And reaching out have been warrior. And I told you that before when we first Matt is that you're a warrior. And I think at that particular time, you know, it was like, wow, none of us knew what was coming up. But we've had to put it all on the line. For sure. I didn't sign up for this job. I just want to do what the Lord wants me to do. And, you know, 10 years ago, I was not this guy. But as time has passed and circumstances have changed, I have felt compelled by the Lord to speak out and to speak out. And I trust the Lord,

with my career. This is not like some canny move I'm making. It's just what I believe the Lord, how the Lord is leading. And it's the only way to live, ladies and gentlemen. You ought to know that. Ask God to lead you and do what he asks you to do. So we're talking about, you know, where we are now. And your new book, The Lions Army, is part of what we're talking about, Mike. In other words, God has deputized you to teach the body. of Christ how to walk in this stuff. This is his will for his body, that we be mature, that we walk in this stuff. And I wonder how many people listening right now have never walked in what we're talking about. They've not experienced dreams or visions or this kind of thing. And how many will.

And so that's always my hope with this program to open people up to what God is doing and saying. that let me ask you, do you have a sense you're saying of the next four years that, well, what is your sense of the years ahead? Because it really is an extraordinary thing. I think a lot of us, you know, who grew up on the late great planet Earth or whatever, we just thought, you know, it's, you know, T minus the Antichrist is going to be here. But God has given us a reprieve, it seems. Yeah, I personally do not feel. that the end time is yet.

I think that we've got a long ways to go. The Lord has been dealing with me about even like the next decade. And I can't get into all that, but I know one thing that he told me is that we have four years now, that we need to prepare for what's to come after that. And I don't know exactly what all that is. He said, I want you to build the foundation and the structure of your spiritual,

and your financial lives now. Take advantage of these four years. Tell people to be very wise, you know. It's like make all you can, spend all you can, save all you can, give all you can, be wise and build a framework of your financial life and of your spiritual life, which takes, you know, prayer, takes honoring the Lord, all these things, Bible reading, and so forth, so that it is a structure that will carry. you forward from 2029 on. And as we get closer, we'll see what that is. But that's something very important. The book is, the new book is the Lions Army. The previous book is Third Heaven Authority. Brand new book is the Lions Army. So before we go today, Mike, what else is in the book, The Lions Army? Well, the subtitle is Discover the Ways of the Spirit for the Last Days. So I would say that a lot of people have questions, are these the last days? We were talking about that earlier. Are these the last days? And what I want to tell people is that Bible terminology is very important. because when people say are these last days, they're thinking,

does that mean that Jesus is coming back just right around the corner? Is he coming back this year? What's happening? Is the antichrist going to arise? Just all of these different things that are Bible eschatology. And what we need to understand is how the Bible describes what the last days are. The last days, according to scripture, are the time from the original day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was poured out in the upper room

until Jesus comes back. That's all of the last days. The Bible's very plain about that because we're always thinking that, and I meet so many people who with good, honest hearts, are concerned if this is the last days, it means these are going to get worse and worse and worse. And if they're going to get so bad, it's as if, well, then God can't take care of me anymore, or the power of the Holy Spirit is going to wane. And no, that is not true. Because, you know, the Bible talks about the former days, which was Old Testament time, and the latter days, which is New Testament times. And even there in the second chapter of Acts, when Peter started preaching that sermon,

and he was talking about, and it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of my spirit upon all the earth. So the last day started with Jesus. In fact, in Hebrews 1, it says that in various times and in various ways, that God spoke in times past to us, but in these days, in the last days as spoken to us by Jesus. So people just need to understand that every human being that has been born

since the time of Christ is in the last days. But there is then going to be a time toward the end of the last days, the last of the last days, if you will, Jesus himself in 24th chapter of Matthew called at the end of time. And so there is going to be some time when things get worse. But here's the point. No man knows the hour or the day. I took a lot of heat in 2020 when there were a lot of people prophesying that Jesus was coming back in 2020.

Were there really? I mean, I'm always staggered. There was. A lot. Gentlemen, in case you missed it, Jesus did not return in 2020. Right. So what do you make,

what do you make, Mike, of people? I'm always shocked when people say, the Lord said this and the Lord did not say that. Where do you think that's coming from? I mean, I don't think they're lying. I just think they're deceived or what do you suppose is happening? Well, I think that there's two basic things. Number one is that their own mind.

And it may have started with some kind of an impression of the Holy Spirit on the inside of them. And I don't want to take that away at all, but their interpretation of it. Okay, having the revelation is important, but you've got to have the right interpretation, then you have to have the right application of it. And all that is maturity, the Word of God, leadership of the Spirit of God. Sometimes it's flesh. Sometimes it's them. They just assume, that is, but,

But here's the second part that some people would appreciate is that I talk about third heaven authority. Third heaven is the realm of God, the dwelling place of God. First heaven, the way I teach it, the way I believe it, is that the first heaven is the physical universe, the earth, everything else. second heaven is the spiritual atmosphere around it that we deal with that's where the activity of human spirits demonic spirits but angels holy spirit all that and then third heaven because remember the paul in second corinthians 12 talked about being caught up to third heaven is the dwelling place of god what we would normally call heaven so here's my point is that true prophet is third heaven. It's the Holy Spirit speaking. A lot of people become susceptible to second heaven

pressures, demonic realm, angelic realm, but spiritual pressures. And they misinterpret. There's a false voice of prophecy that can come because of those pressures. And so they're prophesying out of second heaven rather than out of third heaven. I know that's rather deep, but... Well, no, it's an I've always, I think you know, I've discussed this where it's just baffling to me when some prophetic voice says something that's flat out wrong. You think, well, what, where are they getting that from? I don't think that they're actively lying. I hope not. I mean, I'm sure some would, but, well, we've just got two minutes left here. So keep going. So you said in 2020, all of these people were prophesying like, oh, yeah, Jesus this year. And you were, you were saying something quite different.

Yeah, I had to come out, not only for my local congregation, but also for those partners, you know, on social media and stuff, and try to clarify. And I never attack anybody. I only deal with doctrines or what was said. And that is simply, I just said, no, Jesus is not coming back in 2020. No, quit following after all of these people. I mean, they were prophesying that Chinese tanks were going to be in Washington, D.C. by the end of the year. And that, you know, then Jesus was going to be coming back. Antichrist was showing. All of these things.

And so I and many other good prophets, Bible-based teachers said, no, no, no, you can't say that. But it's going to be a lot of fun. I know that I'm committed to six talks on each of my books. You don't have to come. You can go up to the sun deck and blow it off. There's no obligation. But I'll be speaking on six of my many books and doing Q&A. And the Q&A, you can ask me about the other books, whatever you want to do. It's going to be a lot of fun, a lot of fellowship.
