Starting point is 00:00:09 Welcome to the Eric Metaxas show. Did you ever see the movie The Blobs starring Steve McQueen? The blood-curdling threat of The Blob. Well, way back when Eric had a small part in that film, but they had to cut his scene because The Blob was supposed to eat him. But he kept spitting him out. Oh, the whole thing was just a disaster. Anyway, here's the guy who's not always that easy to digest.
Starting point is 00:00:34 Eric the Texas! Hey there, folks. Welcome to the show. Keith, Chris, welcome. Hey, good to see you. Thank you. Welcome as well. Can I get you a drink? I'm a gin and tonic guy. We have, it's a little early in the day, my friend. And you know, this audience does not yet know that you're an alcoholic. So let's just edit that out. If you want to smoke, I have no problem. If you'd like to smoke a cigarette or whatever.
Starting point is 00:01:08 But since- Cerosene. Is kerosene okay? Or you want to chew on a cheroot like Clint Eastwood? Hey, speaking of Clint Eastwood, oh, by the way, before I get into Clint Eastwood, and I am going to talk about Clint Eastwood. But my guest in both hours today, this is a big deal, folks.
Starting point is 00:01:31 It's Miranda Devine. You may not know who she is. If you know who she is, you're already thinking, wow, but if you don't know who she is, you're going to find out in a few minutes. She is an extraordinary reporter for the New York Post. She is the one that wrote a book on Hunter Biden's laptop. She coined the term laptop from hell. She has a new book out called The Big Guy, which is Hunter Biden's referring to his father.
Starting point is 00:02:04 You know, we've got to kick 10% upstairs for the big guy. But her books are, you know, it's called journalism. You know, she brings the footnotes and the sources, and it's amazing what she's uncovered. So we'll talk to her about everything. She really is, she's a very special guest and very generous of her to give us so much time today. So we have her in both hours today. Before that, let me bring things back to Clint Eastwood. Are you ready?
Starting point is 00:02:33 Okay, Clint Eastwood directed the film Sully. Some of you know about that film, about the plane that was landed on the Hudson. That was Clint Eastwood, right? Okay, well, who wrote the screenplay for Sully? Todd Comernicki, he's been on this program several times. Todd Comernicki, who wrote the screenplay for Sully, wrote the screenplay for the Bonhofer film that is coming out Friday. in a theater to a theater near you. If you don't see the film, Todd, because he can be nasty, he's coming after you. So you need to see the film on Friday. If you don't see it by the
Starting point is 00:03:15 weekend, I'm going to come after you. Because I don't know that I could be described as nasty, but I can get nasty if I need to, and I'm coming after you. You need to see the film this weekend, folks. The Bonhoeffer film, it was written, as I just said, by Todd Comer, Nikki. Spectacular Screenplay. The screenplay, was passed off to Ralph Winter. Now, I know Ralph Winter. He is a giant in Hollywood. He's a big deal. He's a physically big guy. But when I say a giant, I'm speaking metaphorically, he has produced films amounting to well over $2 billion in box office, like tons of big films. So Ralph Winter's a big deal in Hollywood. He's a Christian. I know him. And when Todd sent him the script,
Starting point is 00:03:59 the Bonhofer script, he read it all the way through to the end. and he needed a half an hour, he said, to compose himself. He was so moved by it that he needed a half an hour to compose himself before he could call up Todd and tell him what a great script it was. And then he then said, by the way, anything I can do to help you with this film. And he has done a ton to help us with the film. He's involved with the film. I should say us, them, because I was not involved with the film. But he really, he was serious.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Like he wasn't just some Hollywood guy saying, you know, yeah, let me help. He actually helped them. I heard the story, actually. I'm not going to go into it, but I heard the story of he was involved in the film as a producer. He loved it that much. So that's because of Todd Komericki's amazing script. And Todd Komerniki directed the film. And as we've been saying on this program and you can read the various reviews, it's a great film.
Starting point is 00:04:57 So it's coming out this weekend. Clint Eastwood, let me be clear. he's not in it. All of his stuff got edited out on the, you know, he really, he plays Hitler's girlfriend, and it just, the casting was just off. It was weird. And so, Clinisewood is out. But also, Kevin Sorbo is not in the film.
Starting point is 00:05:23 And that's, yeah, he was going to play, you know, the famous art teacher that flunked Hitler. And I guess that also made it to the cutting room floor. Well, I didn't hear that. I'm sorry, my earpiece is falling out. He, what was Kevin Sorbo? It was rumored, the art teacher, the famous art teacher that flung Tiddler. Right. Yeah, that was Sorbo was really trying for that part.
Starting point is 00:05:45 But Sorbo was banned from the set because we said, we don't want to make a Christian, Christian film. We want to make a mainstream film. And so Sorbo got banned. Hey, Kevin, tough luck. Yeah, he just had a line of dialogue, but he decided to improvise and tapped into the old Hercules's character and picked up the actor. who plays Hitler in the film and threw him out of the window. Yeah, he threw Hitler out of the window, WWE style. And we're like, you know what, that's not the kind of film we're going for, Kevin.
Starting point is 00:06:10 You're out. Hey, you're out. So seriously, though, you've got to see the film this weekend, folks. If you want discounted tickets, you can go to angel.com slash Eric. If you don't care about discounted tickets, just go to a theater near you and see it this weekend. And I say this over and over, and I'll be saying it, this week incessantly, you have to make the opening weekend a big weekend. Why? Because we live in a world where if the opening weekend is not a big weekend, the theaters do not, they don't give you time.
Starting point is 00:06:45 They don't give the movie time to find its feet. Like, oh, it took some time, took a month before word of mouth got out. No, they don't care. So the opening weekend has to be big. So I want you please, folks, to get the word out in your circles. A lot of churches are buying out theaters. My church here in New York City, King's Church with Pastor David Englehart, they bought out a theater. Whatever you want to do, the opening weekend really needs to be significant. So let me say that.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Let me also remind you, December 10th, we have a Socrates in the city 25th, anniversary gala coming up in here in New York City. I'm getting a new tuxedo folks. Yes, I'm going to be singing. There's going to be a band. I mean, there's going to be all kinds of stuff, but at the end of the evening, we're going to have a band and dancing, and I'm going to sing a few numbers just because who's going to stop me? And we're going to have a lot of fun. So if you want to, if you want to be a part of that, we have a block of rooms at the Union League club. It's very special, I promise you. Many of you've already signed up. But go to Socrates, in the city to check that out. Socrates in the city.com. Socrates in the city.com. Let me also say,
Starting point is 00:08:04 I don't have the numbers this week for how many people have signed up for the cruise, but a lot of people are signing up. It's actually, it's going to be big. It's going to be exciting. So if you want to find out the details, the folks who put the crews together originally told us we had to have everything in by November 1st, otherwise they're going to let some rooms go. But enough people signed up that they have kept the rooms. So go to Eric Metaxus. dot com slash cruise.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Ericmetaxis. com slash cruise. And Eric, I hope you're not upset that I'm not coming, but I get seasick on a swing. So they were unable to accommodate my dramamine drip. And unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to go. Yeah. Well, you know what? You're banned from the cruise anyway.
Starting point is 00:08:55 You and Sorbo. Sorbo's also banned because, you know, they wanted to package this as like some Christian crews. I was like, no, no, no. There are going to be a lot of Christians. I'm a Christian. I'm a Christian. I'm talking about my books, which have Christian content. But it's not officially, quote unquote, a Christian cruise.
Starting point is 00:09:09 So Sorbo, you're banned. Sam Sorbo, she can come because we like Sam. But we also like Kevin. But Kevin, you're banned. I was Kevin's body double in Soul Surfer. I don't know if you recognize my abs, but that was me. I was Bethany's. I was Bethany's.
Starting point is 00:09:25 body double in Soul Surfer. Yeah. And I was a little CGI conceals everything. It's really incredible. That's so weird, guys. It's great opportunity for me. Yeah, that's weird.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I didn't see you guys. I played the Shark's body double on Soul Surfer. I didn't see you guys there. So we, we, uh, I think we've lost a lot of audience today, folks. Okay. So when we come back, seriously, for the next couple hours, I'm talking to Miranda Devine. She's a big deal. Her book's a big deal.
Starting point is 00:09:53 And she's fascinating to. talk to a real journalist, thank God. We'll be right back. Starting point is 00:12:10 Hey, the folks, welcome back. As I mentioned, my guest right now is Miranda Devine. Now, she is with a publication. I don't know if you've heard of it. It's the oldest continuous publication, I think, in America. It was founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1801, and it's called The New York Post, Miranda, a divine welcome. Thanks very much, Eric.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Great to be with you. Well, I see you here and there in New York when people sneer at me when I say, where do you live? I say New York. And they go, eh, like isn't it all horrible liberals or something? It's like, well, no, not quite. No, there are a number of heroes who call New York home. And you are one of them, if not two or three of them because of what you do is significant. So you have a book out now.
Starting point is 00:13:02 I've wanted to talk to you for several weeks. It's called The Big Guy, referring, of course, to President Biden. His son, Hunter Biden, refers to him in the emails as The Big Guy. So what is the thesis, Miranda Devine, of your book titled The Big Guy? Thanks very much, Eric, for having me on. So this is really the sequel to my first book, which was Laptop from Hell. which was about the Biden family corruption as first exposed in Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Now, this second book is about the cover-up because the instant that we at the New York Post started publishing damning material from Hunter Biden's laptop, that was backed up by Hunter Biden's former business partners who confirmed this evidence. We were censored. And that started three, weeks before the 2020 election when within hours of our first story going live, Facebook and
Starting point is 00:14:08 Twitter just shut it down. They throttled it. Twitter, in fact, said that we'd violated their hacked materials policy and shut down the New York Post account for two weeks until a few days before the election. And I mean, this was just unprecedented. And, you know, it really, ended up being a biggest story than the story of Biden's influence peddling while he was vice president that got him and his family millions of dollars from China and Russia and Ukraine at Kazakhstan and so on, all the countries that Joe Biden had power over during those eight years. The biggest story was the cover-up. And it wasn't just, you know, that big tech was censoring us because they were woke or wanted Joe Biden to win. They'd be. They'd be,
Starting point is 00:15:00 been coerced by the FBI to censor us. For weeks before the election, the FBI had been meeting with these big tech companies, these social media companies, and kind of slyly telling them about this Russian disinformation to expect that was coming down the pike. They called it a hack and leak operation and that it would likely be in October and likely involve Hunter Biden. And lo and behold, when our story arrived, it had already been pre-bunked by the FBI. And so Twitter and Facebook recognized it immediately for what the FBI had been warning them about. And so in short order, they censored it. And also, I mean, Twitter, for instance, had a guy called James Baker,
Starting point is 00:15:50 the former FBI chief lawyer who had been involved in all the Russia Gate hoaxes, all the sort of devious plots against Donald Trump. And suddenly he gets parachuted into Twitter eight months before the election. And we know from the Twitter files that he played an outsized role in the censorship. And then there was the CIA. A few days later came this letter that I call the Dirty 51 letter from 51 former intelligence officials saying that the laptop and therefore our stories were Russian disinformation. And we didn't know at the time that this wasn't just a whole bunch of retired, you know, partisan CIA people, because most of them were CIA.
Starting point is 00:16:38 I think about 42 of them were CIA, including five former directors or acting directors of the CIA. But it wasn't just former's. In fact, that letter got the sign off from Gina Haspel, who was then the CIA director under Trump. She allowed that to go through for publication, even though the CIA knew that the FBI had the laptop. They'd had it for 10 months. It wasn't Russian disinformation. It had been confirmed as legitimate and belonging to Hunter and not tampered with and fit for use in a court of law, which it later was. So I just saw that as like a domestic election interference operation by the intelligence agencies. and I thought that was a big story.
Starting point is 00:17:26 And as I looked into it, there was more and more nefarious information that I found about their input and their sabotage of Donald Trump and their elevation and protection of Joe Biden. And then, of course, the same people who protected Joe Biden were propping up Kamala Harris. So that's the deep state, the enemy within,
Starting point is 00:17:49 that Donald Trump is warning about and that the Obama administration called the blob. And it's the CIA, the Pentagon, the State Department. Then you add in the Department of Justice, even the IRS that were stymied and sabotaged, that investigation of Hunter Biden dragged on for five years in Delaware. You know, what I, my reaction to what you're saying,
Starting point is 00:18:19 first of all is to thank, God for actual journalists like you. I am not like you a journalist. I hear one-tenth of the horror of what you've just said, and I go apoplectic. I can't bear it. So the idea of looking into this in a bloodless, measured, careful, analytic way, and uncovering and uncovering, it really is just astonishing to me, Miranda, that there are people like you who are able to do that. And I thank God for you, because what you've just said, any piece of it, is horrific. But taken together,
Starting point is 00:18:56 it really is very difficult to find. I don't think there is a parallel in American history. This is a level of corruption. This makes Watergate look like absolutely nothing. I mean, and I cannot stress enough. This is at least a hundred times worse than the worst of Watergate. This is just absolutely astonishing to think that we have. so much corruption and it's only because of the the overreaching of these wicked figures that it has awakened us to this.
Starting point is 00:19:34 In other words, if they had been wiser, they kept it. So this information, I mean, where do we start? Some information comes out and they do everything they can to start with your previous book, Laptop from Hell. to say that that was Russian disinformation is just preposterous. I mean, it's absolutely preposterous. But for how many was it, 50 intelligence figures to sign a letter saying that it was Russian disinformation, that's the sort of thing. You'd make it up in a movie and people say, that's so stupid. Plea, that's not.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Senior intelligence people would never would never sign off on a thing like that. That's obviously ridiculous. They did. In other words, if you want to know the level, the depth of the corruption, it's practically incomprehensible how these people have sold their souls for power. And they will now say and do almost literally anything to cling to that power, stick their necks out. It's only about winning.
Starting point is 00:20:42 What did it do to you? I just have to ask you, because to see this. I mean, to see this in America happening in our time, what was your initial reaction to this? Well, I guess it evolved over time. Initially, my reaction was just utter shock. You know, we all were shocked. We could not believe that the big tech companies would censor the oldest, as you said, continuously published newspaper in the country, the fourth biggest by circulation.
Starting point is 00:21:15 But then remember a couple of weeks later, they threw Donald Trump off their platforms. They silenced the president. He was the president. And, you know, that even shocked Emmanuel Macron. These unaccountable companies have this sort of, they're an oligopoly of controlling information. And so, of course, the intelligence agencies were crawling through them. there were so many people from the CIA and the FBI working at Twitter that the Twitter files, when Elon Musk bought it and opened up the files for independent journalists to look at, not me sadly, but people like Matt Taibi and Barry Weiss and Michael Schellenberger, they found a whole lot of information, including that there were so many of these intelligence agents
Starting point is 00:22:06 that they had their own like affinity group, I think, like a slack, channel or an email group hug. Because what were they doing there? Obviously, they're there to, as we found out from the Twitter files, make sure that their agenda gets adhered to. So whether it be on the Ukraine war, on the COVID vaccine, on the leak of the Wuhan virus, on, you know, even rude memes about First Lady Jill Biden were censored. American voices were censored.
Starting point is 00:22:42 And this is happening. We're seeing this dark veil of censorship fall all over the world in Europe, in the United Kingdom, where journalists are getting knocks on the door. Hang on a moment, Miranda, forgive me, going to a hard break. We'll be right back talking to Miranda Devine. The book is The Big Guy. Welcome back talking to Miranda Devine of the New York Post. Her new book is The Big Guy, referring to, Joe Biden, the previous book, Laptop from Hell. Miranda, you were just talking about, well, you're talking about a lot of things. But again, I say this over and over on this program.
Starting point is 00:24:28 It is a process that we, the American people are going through in trying to come to terms with what we've uncovered. I think it's no different than the German people at the end of World War II being shown films of the death camps. they, many of them, many, many of them had no idea that this could be happening. And when they first saw it, it's so repulsive, you say, there must be some mistake. There is no way this could have been happening. We would have heard. We would have known. It really takes time to process the horror.
Starting point is 00:25:05 And what we're talking about, the FBI, the CIA, its levels of corruption upon corruption, I guess, One question that I have is, do you suppose there will be a reckoning? There needs to be a reckoning, something like the Nuremberg trials. How do you deal with this level of evil and corruption in the United States government? People have to be held to account. Do you suppose that this administration will be able to do that? Well, I guess the reckoning began on November 5 when the American people resound. cost to coast issued their verdict on Donald Trump and on the media and the Democrat
Starting point is 00:25:53 lies that have been told about him. American people saw through all that. They realize now that they've been lied to. That is a massive slap in the face to the liars. And I think that that sort of evolving of the American sort of knowledge of the corruption will continue under Donald Trump because I think it's going to be very difficult for him to clean out the FBI and particularly the CIA. I mean, I think he'll give it a red-hot go. He'll certainly disrupt them. And I'm sure they're very quiet at the moment. So I'm sure that they're up to no good.
Starting point is 00:26:34 And, you know, as Chuck Schumer said about Donald Trump back in 2016, if you go against the intelligence services, they've got, you know, every which one. way to come after you. And I think that's true. And the thing is that Donald Trump is far wiser and more cynical than he was in his first term. And he's sort of surrounding himself with a whole bunch of disruptors. And people who've already been burned by the regime and are kind of impervious.
Starting point is 00:27:05 You know, you can't really care too much about your reputation if you work for Donald Trump because there will be lies and smears thrown. at you. So I think they're ahead in that sense. And I'm sure that for starters, the security clearances of those 51 will be thrown out. And also, many of those 51 we discovered were not just retired, but they were now active CIA contractors, being paid taxpayer money and having access to a lot of classified information. So I think that will all come to an end just for starters. And then, you know, we don't know who's going to be leading the FBI. There's talk that it could be Bob Costello, who's Donald Trump's, or Rudy Giuliani, who was Donald Trump's lawyer. Bob was also Rudy's lawyer,
Starting point is 00:27:58 very seasoned prosecutor from the Southern District of New York, where he used to be assistant head of the criminal division before going into private practice. There's also talk of Cash Patel, who is a real warrior when it comes to uncovering these secrets and was very instrumental with Devin Nunes in busting open the Russia hoax. So there are good people that are available to tackle these institutions who don't have any illusions about what's going on and aren't afraid to be given the treatment and totally demonised. But I think the demonisation has lost.
Starting point is 00:28:41 It stings since the election because no one has been demonized more than Donald Trump. They've thrown everything at him from impeachments to all the lawfare to even assassination attempts. And he just has come out stronger than ever. So I think the people around him, the warriors around him, take strength and purpose from his example. And I think that, you know, the people that he is picking have themselves been vilified as he has, maybe not quite on that level. But, you know, if you're Tulsi Gabbard, who's been targeted by the intelligence agency, and now to be put in charge of the intelligence agencies, the same thing that would said about Matt Gates. And I have to say that the more furious, the mainstream media are, the more. furious the rhinos are about someone, the more I want that someone. And that goes for Matt Gates.
Starting point is 00:29:42 I'm just amazed that they think that we would take them seriously after all we've been through as a nation, after all we've seen. My attitude is America chose Donald Trump. And whomever he picks, that is good enough for me. I'm not really interested in what Carl Rove or Guy Benson on Fox or Or John Bolton. Or, oh, my God. Well, as soon as John Bolton said he was against Matt Gates, I thought, he's the guy for me. Well, I mean, it's comedic. It's almost comedic.
Starting point is 00:30:18 The idea that they, but, you know, I saw on Trey Gowdy's show, I don't know if it was, it was Trey Gowdy. Somebody was saying that, well, you know, the Senate has a job to do here. And I thought to myself, well, at. this point after what we've seen, the American people have said as resoundingly as one can, we want Trump and whatever he's for, we're for. And if he picks Matt Gates, we're for Matt Gates. When we come back, I'm talking to Miranda Devine. The brand new book is The Big Guy. Check it out. Folks, welcome back. I'm talking to Miranda Devine of the New York Post. The brand new book is the big guy. That is what Hunter Biden in his emails, how he referred to his father, Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:31:21 And so, Miranda, as you were saying in the opening segment, there are these levels. The first level is a hack politician like Joe Biden profiting in a way that the American founders would see as evil. They set up a whole system where you have, you know, Cincinnati and his plow. You have someone come to serve and then they go home. They're not supposed to stay and be a senator for decades. and to accrue more and more power and become more and more corrupt. That was what the American founders
Starting point is 00:31:58 explicitly set us up against, not to have something like that. So obviously, things fall between the cracks. In this case, Joe Biden, for 50 years, is accruing power, working the system, and creating up a way to gain wealth. It is the definition of corruption in government.
Starting point is 00:32:21 It's the sort of thing, when you see Mr. Smith goes to Washington with Jimmy Stewart and Claude Rains. That's, it is that. That's what that is. But then we have other levels of horror, and that's what you get at in your books, that when you go to uncover this, when you find an example and you try to bring it out, now all of the forces of evil come against you. So you were talking about, this is the most basic thing, that Twitter before it was bought by Elon Musk was,
Starting point is 00:32:51 complicit with censorship, working for the state. You know, I've written a big book on Dietrich Bonhofer and the Nazis. It's exactly like this. You say, well, they have power. We want part of that power. We'll work with them. You know, if it ends up murdering millions of Jews, we don't care. We're making a profit.
Starting point is 00:33:11 So Twitter and Facebook and Google seemed perfectly willing to take filthy money, to subvert freedom, to work with evil people, they couldn't care less. That to me, of course, is the larger story, that they have no soul, they have no principles, they were perfectly willing to go along, who's in power, where's the regime? Oh, these guys, they want me to do this. Yes, we'll do it. That to me, that's the bigger story. Well, yes, but I would invert it slightly because I think the real wrongdoers here is the deep state,
Starting point is 00:33:49 the blob, the CIA, the FBI and so on, because they were holding over these companies the threat of, you know, breaking them up and Section 230, etc. Penalties that would have severely reduced their profit. And so what these companies did, you can see in the Twitter files, there was pushback. The chief censor at Twitter was trying to, you know, to sort of push back on the really overt and bullying behavior of the government. You saw it particularly once Biden took office and he had his henchmen in there. So they really felt that they had no choice.
Starting point is 00:34:37 And Zuckerberg, in fact, has talked about that now. He said, well, you know, we just felt this incredible pressure, but I was wrong. And what happened was that after the 2016 election, And the Democrats blamed people like Nancy Pelosi, blamed Google, blamed Facebook. They really put a lot of pressure and anger onto those companies. And that was why Zuckerberg provided the $400 million in Zuckerbucks for the 2020 election to help rig it. I mean, he was told it was for election integrity. He didn't care.
Starting point is 00:35:14 He didn't look into it. He was paying a bribe to get them off his back or, protection money to get the Democrats off his back. And they used it to bring out the vote, but only in Democrat, mainly in Democrat areas overwhelmingly. Well, this is why it's such a joy to talk to a real journalist, to get real answers, but to help us interpret what we're trying to understand. And you've just done that dramatically in what you just said, because I wasn't really clear on what you just said, that in fact, it was the CIA, the FBI.
Starting point is 00:35:50 It was our own government. The Biden government. Putting pressure, yes, on these, well, on Facebook, on Google, on Twitter. So this brings us back to how to deal with this. I think, you know, in the last four years, at least most of us, maybe you've been ahead of the curve here, but most of us have been waking up to this narrative of which we'd been ignorant most of our lives. The narrative that, yes, there's this military industrial complex. We heard about that, that there's this deep state.
Starting point is 00:36:26 They killed JFK and his brother. They've been working behind the scenes. And of course, not wanting us to look behind the scenes, just go with the flow, go with the narrative. What happened from 2020 to the present has awakened most Americans. to the horror of this narrative. This is what's actually been going on. And now we get to do something about it. Because of the re-election of Donald Trump,
Starting point is 00:36:53 we get to do something about it. And now I think many of us have the fire to say, I don't care how you threaten me. I don't care if you try to kill me. This is about truth. This is about liberty. Patriots have died in the past for these things. We now see what we're fighting.
Starting point is 00:37:12 And so we were just talking. a moment ago about what's possible. You said, you know, that I guess it was Schumer, said, you know, don't go after the intelligence agencies have ways of getting to you. But I really think that, I think they're in trouble. I think they're going to do what they can. But I think that Trump has already signaled with, you know, picking people like Gates and others that they're going to get, they're going to get the war that they deserve. Yeah, well, I mean, speaking of war, you know, you have the just terrifying prospect of Joe Biden still being president until January 20 next year and basically escalating the war in Ukraine, which is really improper because Donald
Starting point is 00:38:00 Trump has made it very clear that he wants that war to end and he wants it to end quickly. And, you know, Joe Biden allowing American weaponry to go to U.S. Ukraine and authorising Ukraine to fire at Moscow is just a provocation that could lead to World War 3 in the next two months before Donald Trump takes office. And that is obviously Joe Biden, you saw him at the APEC conference the other day. He's utterly befuddled. You know, he's sitting standing there in the back row with a silly look on his face while Xi Jinping is in the front row.
Starting point is 00:38:44 center stage. Miranda, hang on just a moment. We're going to go to a break. We'll be right back, folks. Folks, welcome back. A couple things I want to share. I want to show you a copy of the Socrates book. And I want to tell you about the people
Starting point is 00:39:20 that these are bitter liberals trying to crush the Bonhofer film, which is why you need to see it this weekend. I'll tell you in a minute. But before that, I want to tell you about our friends at Americans for Prosperity. As you know, they made a huge difference this year. Yeah, it's called the election.
Starting point is 00:39:36 What did they do? Well, AFP volunteers made millions of voter contacts. They are the largest, most effective ground game operation in the country to defend and advance the conservative movement. But of course, the election is now behind us. And you know what? I heard that Trump won. That couldn't be. America would never elect Hitler 2.0.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Would they? No, they wouldn't. So Trump won. What do we do now? while the hard work of turning electoral victory into policy wins begins now. And the grassroots army with Americans for Prosperity will again be in the thick of it. We've got an incredible opportunity to get the country back on track. It means we will all have to roll our sleeves up and get to work.
Starting point is 00:40:20 What do we do? Well, if you're ready to join a winning team making a difference across the country, check out my friends at AFP. Learn more at Americansfor Prosperity.org, Americansforprosperity.org. Okay, so I promised that I would talk. I got to mention the Bonhoeffer thing. A group of crazy people wrote a letter, and this is all you need to do, is like mentioned Christian nationalism or something. They saw that the Bonhofer movie poster, one of the posters, has Bonhofer like holding a gun.
Starting point is 00:40:52 And this is just like marketing. Angel.com, I mean, Angel Studios just thought, oh, yeah, we'll make it look cool like a thriller. He has a gun. they actually wrote a big thing saying that they're worried about political violence, you know, because Bonhofer was in a plot to kill Hitler. So is this movie inciting political violence? That's how insane they are. But of course, they need the complicity of other insane or merely ignorant people. And so like all these liberal websites are trying to squash the movie. It's so insane because any liberal you take to the movie will love the movie. The movie is a great, film. You'll see. I mean, you'll, you'll, you'll see. It's like, it's a great film that, that anybody in America will love. And I would say particularly, if you're politically
Starting point is 00:41:39 liberal, you'll love it. You'll see. But that's not stopping from lunatics from trying to squash it. So I want to say, uh, what I've been saying is make sure you see it this weekend. Make sure you get the word out with everyone you know, uh, with pastors. Please take this seriously, folks. I, I really, uh, it would be a real tragic. for a film this wonderful, this mainstream and wonderful and faith-based, not to do well at the box office. And as I've said throughout the week, it really depends on the opening weekend. This is the opening weekend. So please, please make a plan. Please just do this. And bring whoever you want. It's just one of those rare films where you could just bring absolutely anybody
Starting point is 00:42:27 and you'll see. So it's fantastic. Okay. So the Socrates in the city event that's happening December 10th here in New York City. We're going to be giving out copies of the new Socrates book. It's called Socrates. This is a mock-up. This is an actual mock-up of the book, right?
Starting point is 00:42:46 And this book is edited by me. What? Is it inappropriate to cat-call a book? Yes. Because that's very fine. Hubba. Haba, hubba, hubba. Wow, Yauza. No, but honestly, the book is so wonderful that, I mean, I put a lot of effort into editing this, but these are the greatest conversations we've had at Socrates in the city. If you want to pre-order a copy, it's 20% off only if you pre-order it before December 10th. But it is, I mean, I promise you, it is a fantastic Christmas gift. I guarantee you.
