Welcome back. Oh, great. Thanks, Eric. I'm just getting my last. Okay, there you go. I just finished. So you just finished it literally this second. That's surprising.

This very second. In all seriousness, you wrote an article. Yes. About my book, you wrote a review of my book, Religinalist Christianity. And where did it air? I mean, where did it, where was it published? It's at American Thinker, AmericanThinker.com. It came out on Saturday.

And the title is, will the good guys win the ultimate battle between good and evil? And that really is the question. Of course, the ultimate battle belongs to the Lord, but that's what your book is about. It's another, another, because it follows in the footsteps of letter to the American church. Another wake up call to the church. This is it, folks. And I start off with your opening line from the introduction, which says, we are in a war. And you can't make it any clearer than that.

And you point to the two previous wars that were instrumental in America becoming and staying a free nation. Number one, of course, was a revolutionary war. Number two was the civil war. And now we were at that crossroads again. So I make it very clear that this is a spiritual war. Yes. And I also say that the previous two actual wars, the revolutionary war and the, the war between the states, the civil war, those were existential crises. In other words, if if it had gone differently, America would cease to exist. America would have never come into being if we had, if Washington had not prevailed during the revolution, we would have not remained America in any real sense if we would have lost, if the Civil War would not have gone the way that it went. And I say that we are now in our third existential crisis. And it is a war, but it's a spiritual war. It's an ideological war. Part of the reason I say that is that in the two previous existential crises, just as it's true more than ever right now, the church is central. People who call themselves Christians actually behaving as Christians is at the heart of whether we will prevail.

But anyway, if you want to interview, you can ask me questions, however you want to do it. Yeah. Well, I want to start off with two very big things that came out that jumped out at me. When I first read a letter to the American Church, I thought the thing that really started, stuck with me was the 12,000 churches. And you've explained this before. There were Lutheran churches. There was a total of what, what was it, 3,000 that said, we will not comply with Hitler and what he wants. And there were 3,000 that said, Hitler's the greatest. We're going to be part of his national church, so to speak. But there were 12,000 in the middle and said, like, you know what, let's sit on the fence. Let's see which way this thing goes. You know, we can still preach our gospel. We can still keep going.

and I thought, that's what nailed it. That's what you're trying to call, you're calling to the 12,000. Yeah, nowadays, let's just pretend that figure still exists. Yeah, there are 3,000 churches out there, hypothetically, that are on the side of the far left. No question about it. They got their flags waving outside their Black Lives Matter and their gay flags and all this stuff. They got that, and they're on the side of the culture, right, and the far left.

And we've got the 3,000 that are, you know, solidly in the camp of, like, like we are not going to comply and we're going to push back. But we still got those 12,000 in the middle. And so this second book comes out. And the most impressive thing about the second book, because you don't talk about the figures in the second book, but what you talk about, and this just blew me away is Pastor Martin Niemuller,

before he got into his VW. Martin Niemuller said to Adolf Hitler, probably what was about a few months before he became chancellor, it was some time before he became chancellor, and he was very popular. Niemler said, I've got to talk to this guy, make sure it's going to be hands off the church. So Mink Niemala goes in, talks to Hitler,

and Hitler says, yeah, yeah, I don't care about the church. You do your church thing. That's great. That's great. Let me just underscore, because this is so important. This is an amazing thing, folks. And as Alvin has said, I write about this in the book. Martin Niemler was a World War one hero.

He was a patriot. He was awarded the Iron Cross in the First World War, just a German patriot. And so he's now a pastor. And yeah, he goes to Hitler before Hitler becomes chancellor. And Hitler tells him, oh, I'm not going to bother the church. Don't you worry about that. And I'm also not going to institute pogroms against the Jews.

I will not do that. He tells Martin Niemuller. So this is in 1932 before Hitler becomes chancellor. So what I don't say in the book, Albin, but it goes without saying is that, that he wanted the buy-in of powerful Christians like Martin Niemuller. So Hitler says this to Martin Niemuller. Martin Niemuller believes it. Yes.

He believes that Hitler gave me his word, that he's not going to come after the church. He gave me his word. He's not going to go after the Jews. And you can tell the rest of the story. Yeah. Yeah. So then, of course, Hitler comes into power. And with it, it doesn't take long, a couple months, I think it was.

he starts to go after the Jews, you know, demonizing them. He starts to go after the confessing church, which is what Bonhofer had created. These are the, you know, the solid believers, as it were. And then I love, so then he goes to Hitler again and says, you know, I, you know, what are you doing? I thought you're going to do the hands-off thing. And before he can even get the question out or before he can allow Hitler to say something to him, suddenly they've got some paper on Niemaller that he had signed some document

or something where he didn't sound like he was a patriot. This is so chilling. I mean, it's worth me here because this is one of, you know, when you know the story of Martin Niemuller, it's why I put it in the book. It is like the test case. It's like the classic case.

So Hitler tells him what he needs to say in order to get Martin Niemuller, this patriotic Christian, to buy in to the Nazis are going to be good for Germany. Great. So the Nazis take power a few months later and pretty quickly, like instantly, Hitler reneges on everything. Obviously, he starts demonizing the Jews and he totally starts going after the church. So all during 1933, as things get worse and worse and worse and worse,

Martin Niemeller is telling himself, you know what, I think Hitler's reasonable. be the people around him because he gave me his personal word. Yeah. This is the furor. I mean, this is, you know, this is the chancellor of Germany. He's not going to just out and out lie to me. That's, in other words, this is one people to understand what are you dealing with. Are you dealing with real evil or are you dealing with somebody who's kind of like the nice

guys you dealt with before? Nobody understood. It's very easy for us to say, oh, everybody should have known how evil he was. No, Martin Niemler didn't. So Martin Niemler decides, okay, I need to get a meeting with Hitler. Hitler respects me. I'm a patriot and I'm a decorated. veteran. So he tries over and over and over again. And it's very interesting to me that, I mean,

if you read my Bonhoeffer book, it's in there, but the short version is in the new book, Religionless Christianity, that clearly Hitler didn't want to have a meeting with Martin Neemuller. Like, he's just thinking, I don't want to hear from this guy. Like, he gave me what I wanted. I got elected. Now he can go, you know, jump in a lake. I don't, I don't care. So Martin E. Mueller pushes and pushes and pushes finally gets a meeting. This is the, now early 34. He finally gets a meeting with Hitler. And in the meeting, no sooner does the meeting start. This, this just, I mean, this is like out of a movie except this happened. Guring is there. So, Gering is the tubby lieutenant of Adolf Hitler, wicked man. He produces a transcript.

They tapped Niemuller's phone. So if you want to know what kind of a nice guy, Hitler is, They tap Niemuller's phone and Gurring now reads the transcript of things that Niemuller said, kind of like cracking a joke about Hitler, not even really anti-Hitler, but maybe disrespectful, whatever, in a private phone call. And so suddenly they're letting him know, Neemuller, like you could go to a concentration camp right now, right now. So we're putting you on notice before we have our quote-unquote conversation. you're in big trouble. I mean, it's so chilling. That's the moment that he realizes that the guy he's

I always, start kind of being speechless that because most Americans, myself included, it's a big thing to realize you've been living in a country where you thought everything was on the up and up or most things were on the up and up. And as time has passed, we've discovered more and more the truth. Many Americans still don't have a clue. Many people that I know I would call friends don't have a clue about the reality of what happened. When did you know what happened?

Well, I mean, I suspected something on January 6th, 2021, because I was there that day. And when I got home that night, I didn't see anything on the news that reflected what I'd personally witnessed. So that was sort of what set me on the path of let's investigate this. Let's find out why they're lying about the nature of the crowd that day. And as it progressed, the lies just began to multiply. And that's one of the most difficult things about talking about January. January 6 is that getting people to really face the fact that their government, that all parts of the government would lie this blatantly and this long. And you just, you don't want to believe that,

like you said, in the opening monologue. You want to believe that you live in a country that lives up to the ideals of the Constitution. And we don't live in that country anymore. It's, and it's hard to get people to face that. Well, I mean, look, growing up, people would talk about stuff. People talk about the Kennedy assassination. Oh, it was the mafia. Oh, it was the CIA. Oh, was the, you know, and I think there's a part of your brain that rightly says, you know what, I can't deal with this right now. Like, I don't need to go down that rapid hole. I know that there's corruption. I know there's bad stuff. But on balance, I believe everything is running roughly as it should. At some point in the last few years. For some people it was 2016 or some people who's 2020, you had this process of waking up

and realizing, okay, this is very hard for me, but I now see that I was going along with a false narrative. I bought the narrative. I was voting for people that were doing these kinds of things. I know that there are people today on Fox News in the Republican Party that have no idea of what actually happened and if you start talking about it they're just they're not interested they're convinced look there's enough truth to this false narrative there's enough truth to it that i'm buying it they don't see it as a false narrative you know and i know um what really happened what made you decide to make this film about it well when i made the first film capital punishment um this is basically a sequel to capital punishment and at first i really didn't want to

make this, I thought, you know, it's old news. People don't care about it anymore. But then, you know, in continuing to talk to these people that are, that were people that we profiled in the first movie that were now going to prison, being taken away from their families for trespassing, for like nonviolent offenses, and realizing that Matthew Graves, the DOA, had announced that he's going to arrest a thousand more people, that this, they were not stopping. You know, that for whatever reason, you know, they have been emboldened because of the success they've had in persecuting the people who went to Washington on January 6th. So I decided we had to continue to tell this story because it's not over. They are continuing to destroy people's lives.

And they have arrested more people this year for January 6th than they arrested all of last year. So this is, this oppression has not stopped. And that's why I decided to make another film about it. In other words, this is kind of like saying, listen, we need to understand how the country works. We need to know what does it say in the Constitution.

We need to understand the separation of powers. We need to understand the basics. And this is part of that. In other words, if you don't understand what's happening, it would be like living in 1776 and thinking King George the Third's government is basically a good government. And people would say, listen, you don't understand what happened. Let me explain this to you. Let me explain this to you.

Some people were never interested in fighting against King George's government. But there were other people, like there are people today, once they begin to see, what actually happened. They get these facts. They go, oh, that's different. That's different. Now I've got to think about it. That's part of what this film is about is what the first film Capital

punishment didn't. What's some new stuff in here? Well, we just now we know more. I mean, capital punishment was released in November of 2021. We know a lot more about the embedded government operatives that were in the crowd. We know a lot more about the Antifa BLM activists that were disguised as Trump supporters. We know a lot more about who was behind what happened. In the War on Truth, for example, we talked to Tarek Johnson, T.K. Johnson, who was a capital policeman on that day, who states that the Capitol police were set up just like the protesters. He tells a story about how he was radioing his superiors on the day after the Capitol police had allowed people into the Capitol. He was radioing his superiors going, we need to clear the House and Senate,

because if they do wander into the chamber, that's going to be a bloodbath. We're going to have to open fire to protect the chamber, and he can never get an answer from his superior. and he finally, on his own volition, cleared that House and Senate, and if he had not done that and people had gone in there, that would have been, the police would have had to open fire. And I believe, and TK. believes that that is what they wanted, that they wanted January 6th to be a terrible, terrible bloodbath event. And they were disappointed that only one casualty, I believe,

because they wanted it to be something. They could hang on Trump supporters and hang on Trump for the rest of their lives so that they would never be challenged ever again. Well, when you say one casualty, I mean, there were a number of casualties all on the side of, you know, Trump supporters. Yeah.

Right. Yeah. Yeah. That's the fact that was shot dead. Right. You know, she was there to contest the election rightfully. Even that. I mean, I remember I was being interviewed

and maybe by the Atlantic Monthly. This is way back. 2021. And they asked me about this. And they said something about, well, you're aware of, you know, so-and-so was killed by a Trump supporter, you know, beaten to death with a fire extinguisher. And I didn't know what to say because I thought, well, if that happened, obviously, I'm against it. Turns out that was a total lie. And in those, these lies were pushed by the media, by the mainstream media, by the Atlantic Monthly and the New York Times. I want to ask you about the the collaboration when you just mentioned. I mean, it's one thing for wicked people in the deep state,

okay, FBI, CIA, whoever it is. One thing for them to collude and to do evil things, which they've done for decades. It's another thing when you now mention Antifa. How does, how does Antifa get involved in this? Now, it was, what's the collaboration? Do we have any sense of how these, you know, maniacs and Antiqu- Would be involved in this? Well, the Antifa, BLM, movement was started and financed by the Chinese communists. And the enemies of America organize that. Some of them are paid activists. Some of them are true believers, you know, but they are financed by surreptitious forces that hate this country. So they get involved because they are paid to be there. We have testimony in the movie of a man who says,

I was paid to pretend to protest at the Capitol on January 6th. So he was paid by, you're saying, what, Chinese government, George Soros? Who are we talking about? Well, criminals are good at covering their tracks. I'm not sure exactly who paid them, but there are advertisements for protesters, you know, on the dark web. And, you know, these people admit that they are paid. It could be Soros.

It could be, you know, anybody. You know, it's hard to trace it. These people are not showing up as sincere, you know, supporters of a cause. Some of them are. Some of them are, you know, born and bred, you know, true believer communists. But some are paid protesters. And this is an organized effort. That's what we, that's what's hard to wrap your head around.

This was not some accident that happened that got out of control that day. It was deliberate not to have the National Guard there. It was deliberate. the lies that followed it, that was deliberate that they kept saying five police officers were killed that day, they still say that to this day. And if you're not watching these films, you're going to be in the dark. You need to know what is happening. So Nick, you were just talking about the collaboration between or among various anti-American factions. Now, for example, we know the Chinese government. They would be insane if they didn't do anything they could to try to weaken the United States. We know that. Donald Trump knows that.

Anybody with a brain knows that. But we have people in the Democratic Party who seem to want the same thing. This is what's difficult to comprehend, that you have communists, global. globalists within the leftist organizations, willing to work with the Chinese communists, willing to work with whoever, that's to me what is so hard to fathom, that it's an amalgamation of these various forces. And again, this is where it's some people say, well, it sounds like a conspiracy theory. Well, if it's an actual conspiracy, or it doesn't even need to be a plotted conspiracy, you can have some people that are involved in that. But a lot of people are just

going along for the ride. Some of them are literally paid to show up. And, you know, the long marks through the institutions that the communists vowed they would do back in the 50s has really worked. I mean, a lot of these people, they don't necessarily have to get on the phone and collude. They've been educated. They have been re-educated. They've gone through the Ivy League. They now believe that communism and socialism is at least just an alternative way of government, and some of them believe it's a superior one. So I think the Democrat Party and parts of the Republican Party, they see themselves as the ruling class.

We heard Obama back when he was president talk glowingly about how he wishes he had the kind of power that the Chinese government had. So they want centralized totalitarian power, and they are willing to destroy American citizens, as you see in this movie. they're destroying normal, decent American citizens in order to cement their hold on the government of the United States. I think what's shocking is that we've come to a place in America where there are enough people like this. I mean, in the past, it seems to me that your average American understood the basics of what is self-government, what patriots have died for over the decades and the centuries. They had a sense of that. But it seems that we have kind of drifted in the last, I think of it in my lifetime, the last six decades or so, that there are many that don't get that.

And they're just kind of willing to go along. And that's part of what has fueled this movement, is that you don't have principled people in the Democratic Party saying, excuse me, we can't do this. Excuse me, we will not do this. And of course, there are many rhinos that have gone along with it as well. Well, they've marched through our educational system. You know, our kids now are not being taught about the American Revolution. They're not being taught about the Constitution. They're being taught about victim rights.

They're being taught that America is an evil racist country that killed all the Indians and enslaved the black people. And those parts of our history are all that's taught. They don't teach the ideals of American liberty and capitalism. and individual freedom. And so you have a whole generation of kids who really don't understand this country and really have been taught to hate it. And you can see that in the people who support people like Joe Biden,

who is just a puppet for the people that want to destroy this country. By the way, that's insulting to every puppet, I know. Let me ask you, Nick. The film is called The World. war on truth. In other words, let's talk about when you say this was planned, it seems obvious that it was planned. Who do we suppose was in on the planning? Because this is an extraordinary thing. This is deeply wicked. Who do we suppose was actually in on the

planning of this? Well, Victoria Newland was involved. I mean, okay, who's that? You'd have to watch the movie. No. General Flynn, he explains who that is and who the people are that are behind all this. To be honest, Eric, my focus was on the victims. I mean, to me, the most important part of this movie is not necessarily, you know,

the conspiracy part of it, which I believe is important. But it's the way American citizens are being. treated and the kinds of people that the government is going after. Part of the reason we call it the war on truth is when we interviewed our mutual friend, Rob McCoy, we were asking him, you know, so many of our subjects, the people that are being persecuted for going to Washington on January 6th, they're Christians. It just seems to be over and over again. They're Christians. And we asked him, is this a war on Christians? And Rob had a really great comment. He said, you know, as Christians, we are called a stand on the truth.

And what this really is, is a war on truth. It's a war on the actual facts of what happened that day. And so, to me, the most important part of the film, while we go into who Ray Epps was, who's behind it all, the most important part of the film is letting people experience exactly who these people are that are having their lives destroyed by the government and the media. Well, this is why, folks, I hope everybody will see this film.

In a nutshell, because a lot of people have followed this. A lot of people have now followed this. And every American needs to understand. Who's this guy, Ray Epps? What's your sense of that?

Well, I don't know exactly because, like I said, criminals are sometimes good at covering their tracks. But one of the things that you'll see in the War on Truth that I haven't seen anywhere else that I was shocked by is that on January 6th, Ray Epps was one of the first people, maybe the first person, to violate the barricades. And then we have a shot of the entire crowd, the huge crowd standing behind the barricades. Ray Epps comes in with a big Trump flag and some people with him. And then a smoke pop goes off on one side of the crowd. And eight guys, military-style guys, come in and march Ray Epps out of that crowd. Four in front of him, or behind him.

they get him out of that crowd. And right after that is when the Capitol Police began firing munitions into the middle of the crowd, instigating a lot of the violence and infuriating the crowd. And, you know, that's the questions that come up. It's like, okay, you say Ray Epps wasn't working for the government. He wasn't. Okay, what was he? Who were those guys that escorted him out?

I mean, it, and the fact that they have not investigated it, The fact that they have not found the pipe bomber, after they found grandmas who stuck their heads in the Capitol, they haven't found the person that they have on film planting a pipe bomb outside the DNC. I'm not buying it. The government is lying to you. They are protecting these individuals, probably because they are so wrapped up in our own government that they cannot reveal who they are. And I believe that's the story with Ray Upps, too. Well, the first line in my new book is we're in a war. We are in a war right now.

And ladies and gentlemen, you can either be awake to this or not. God is a judge. He expects you to do your part and stand, educate yourself. This is for everything. This is for freedom in the world. This country is not one among many. This is the only country that has stood for freedom the way we have two and a half centuries. probably the role I'm most remembered for was in the TV show, Justified. So it's a joke about that. But that's a book about my career. It's about my, it's about my, adoption out of the, I adopted a son out of the foster care system. It's really more of a biography than it is a political book. So it's a, and it's a lot of fun. You know, I was just some kid from North Carolina who decided he wanted to be an actor and didn't know anybody who had

ever done it. So it's kind of how I sort of blundered my way through it and figured it out and found a way to make a living as an actor. And when did you, because we all know that Hollywood is very left, um, when did you realize? that you wanted to be public about your, you know, faith in the United States of America and in these ideals that, you know, we hold these truths to be self-evident that you actually cared about this. When did you decide to go public? Because you've been, you know, mainstream actor in gigantic mainstream films.

It was during the early years of the Obama administration. I just sort of began to think, you know, see that our country was being deliberately deconstructed. And I, at the time, friends of Abe, the top secret conservative group in Hollywood was going strong. I was a friend of Andrew Breitbart's. We would all meet in secret and go, you know, my name is Nick and I'm a Republican and that kind of thing. And it's like, I kept thinking, why are we, why are we being secretive about this? Because I had never been, I'd never been secretive. And really what put me on the path was when Andrew Breitbart passed away so suddenly, That was when I just sort of woke up and I said, what am I?

Why am I even considering not standing up for what I think? I don't know how much longer I have. None of us do. And at that moment, I just went, I'm not pulling any more punches. And what year was that? I don't remember. 2011. It's hard to believe it's been that long.

I have to say that's extraordinary. Yeah. So at that point, you decided I need to stand up. I need to be counted. That's what I think, you know, there are many people, even listening to this program, who have not yet done that. They say, well, you know, I don't want to pay the price. There's a price to be paid if I say this or I say that.

And I don't think people should be imprudent. We should be prudent. But folks, if you understand where we are, at some point, you will be very sorry that you didn't open your mouth. you will be very, very sorry, and at that point, it will be too late. And you need to understand, you will be sorry. The Germans who did not speak up in Germany, they were sorry for the rest of their lives because they knew they might have made a difference, just as everyone listening to this program, you might make a different.

You might be the tipping point. Think about that. You, what you do might be a tipping point. And if you keep your mouth shut, that tipping point doesn't happen. And we continue to see the erosion of America. Nick, what is your hope for the film, the new film, The War on Truth? You know, when you made it, why did you make this film? Primarily, I wanted to humanize these people that have been demonized so terribly by the Biden administration.

And their accomplices in the media. These are decent, wonderful people. Most of them have never been arrested for anything before in their lives. A lot of them are veterans. They're by and large almost 90, 95 percent Christians. These are people that you would try. trust to feed your pets when you were gone or, you know, you would leave your kids with them. These are wonderful people. And they have been smeared as white supremacists, domestic terrorists,

insurrectionists. They are the true enemies of this administration. That's why the border is open. They're not afraid of their foreign enemies. The real enemies of this administration and the deep state are decent, God-fearing Americans who believe in the Constitution and who believe in individuals. liberty. Those are the people that this government is going after with everything they have. And we are in a war. And Christians need to wake up to that. And my friend Louis Gomer, I was with him this weekend. And he had a great closing remark. And I'll say it right now. He said, yeah, to the people out there that say, I'm not getting involved in politics, God's got this. God doesn't mean for you to lean on a shovel and pray for a hole. That's about it. Any Christian that says that you're spout.
