Texas show with your host, Eric Mettaxas.
Hey, folks.
Wow, the weekend.
I have a surprise.
This is the illusion of show business.
I've always wanted to be in show biz because we can do these illusions.
For example, right now, as you hear my voice, I'm in Florida.
Oh, it looks like I'm in the New York studio.
And yes, I once was in the New York studio.
But as you hear my voice now, I'm in Florida.
Do you understand me, Florida?
Because I'm speaking in Tampa tomorrow night.
You've got a tan already.
Actually, wait a minute.
No.
What?
I'm speaking tonight in Florida.
Oh.
But I'm doing something tomorrow morning.
If you want to know, if you're in the Tampa area,
tonight I'm speaking at an event, and tomorrow morning I'm speaking at an event,
and I'm doing book signings.
So if you're in the Tampa area or it can get there, you must go to erikmataxis.com.
You must, you must.
Ericmetaxis.com.
Go to where it says speaking, and it'll give you my schedule and the details.
And maybe we can meet and hang out.
And my current wife, Suzanne, is with me.
And it's great that I get to travel with her sometime.
So I want to say that, yes, I'm in Tampa right now.
Next weekend, I'm going to be in Colorado Springs.
Speaking at a church, I think it's called the Road at Chapel Hill or Chapel Hills.
I'll be speaking there next weekend.
The weekend after that, we're going down to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to World
outreach church. I love those folks. I've spoken there many times. Pastor Alan Jackson,
he appears on TBN, but I'm speaking in his church. And yeah, yeah, it's crazy. I'm getting out there.
Yeah. I'm getting out there, man. You're just blabbing all over the place there. I'm blabbing all over the place.
Okay, I should say since I said that if you want to look at my speaking schedule, you should go to
Ericmataxis.com. Let me reiterate folks that if you want to know,
who we have on the program. You heard something, but you wanted to rewind it. We send you all the
videos of what we do if you're signed up for the newsletter. So you have to go to Ericmataxis.com,
sign up for the newsletter, sign up. You can sign up your whole church membership. We don't care.
We don't use this to fundraise. We don't. We just want to give you information. So we want you to go to
Eric Mataxis.com. If you go there, for example, we will send you videos of yesterday when I spoke with
skillet
John and Corey Cooper
skillet is a huge band
they have a new album
called Dominion I had a terrific
conversation they are really terrific people
and I had a wonderful conversation with them
that was yesterday Thursday
so if you want to watch that
and see what they looked like
and what I looked like
you know you have to go to
Eric Mataxis.com
do we have Mitch album coming up
in the next year?
No he was yesterday as well
I'm sorry
okay if you want to watch my conversation
with Mitch album he wrote
the huge bestseller, the five people that I will meet in heaven, and even huger than that,
Tuesdays with Maury.
We had him on talking about his new book.
Today, a few minutes ago, we spoke to our friend David Englehart.
Yeah.
Folks, he's a big deal.
I'm reading his book, Good Kills, and it's incredible.
Good Kills.
Yeah, great.
And he has a church here in New York City.
So, yes, we're really blessed to have a lot of great guests and stuff.
But I wanted to read.
We're always looking for time.
People write things to us.
And we don't get to read.
We read every single one of them, but we don't get to read them aloud on the air,
except right now I'm going to read one aloud on the air.
This was so sweet.
The subject line, this is a Debbie from Kuna, Idaho.
Debbie, yes, from Kuna, Idaho.
She says, the subject line of her email is John Zmirak.
and Eric.
And she writes, Eric, you and John are the best.
Your interviews with John are motivating and a true blessing to me.
Because of you, I read the stream every day and send support to the stream, too.
Now, the stream, the stream is stream.org.
John Zmirak writes an essay a day every Monday through Friday for stream.org.
His stuff is so magnificent, and he is so magnificent, that we're privileged.
to have them on this program once a week. But when we get letters like this, we appreciate it.
This lovely woman, Debbie from Kuna, Idaho continues. She says, because of you, Eric, I purchased
Neutrametics products, smart move, because they are great products. Neutrametics.com,
Neutermetics.com. Use the code Eric. And she says, and I have bought, this is hilarious.
I bought way too many pillows, sheets, towels, et cetera, from Mike Lindell.
You used to code Eric?
And she says, I purchased and read four of your books, and I'm so thankful for your dedication to truth and our Lord Jesus, praying for you that God continues to lead you in truth. Our Lord reigns.
Listen, folks, it is such an encouragement to us to get notes like this. I want to thank Debbie specifically, but I want to say thanks to all of you who write to us. The encouragement means a lot. As you know, we're going through a crazy season in America.
And we've never been through anything like this before.
You have, I mean, one thing that is happening right now in America, which is healthy, is people have learned to distrust most of the people who put themselves out as authorities.
So when a governmental leader speaks, a governor speaks, people have been forced to think for themselves because most of these leaders are, I always want to think of the intellectual word, bums.
They're bums.
They do not represent the people who elected them.
They do not seem to understand the Constitution.
They are horrible leaders.
But the good news is that Americans are waking up to this,
and by the grace of God, they're going to make their feelings known at the poll.
The next time they go to the polls, they can make their feelings known.
Similarly, medical professionals, we start to see that, you know, this is the old case,
like the boy who cried wolf.
If you lie a couple of times or if you're caught shading the truth, you lose credibility.
And then the next time you speak and say, you must get the vaccine, people are going to say,
I don't think so.
I'm not going to listen to you.
You're the one that told me cigarettes were good for my health in 1950 because, like, I have the old magazines.
Listen, we're going to start thinking for ourselves.
That's healthy.
Now, we're not talking about, you know, sheer individualism that, hey, everybody's got their own truth.
No, clearly the idea that you're supposed to question authority, that's a good idea.
It doesn't mean you question authority endlessly or you question the concept of authority.
If somebody speaks with authority and is speaking the truth and you can trust, then that's a good thing.
But a lot of these folks have undermined themselves and the institutions for which they speak.
And I'm telling you, Americans are on to it.
And this is going on all across Europe as well.
This is healthy.
This leads to actual democracy, actual self-government, and
freedom. So, yeah, let's see. And speaking of freedom, if we can talk about this, this is the last day
and over the weekend to donate to CSI Christian Solidarity International. If you want to free a slave
for $250, do it. This is the weekend to do it. Don't forget, do something. Give something. $20, $50.
Talk about a great segue. Yeah. Folks, this is it. This is the last exit before the toll.
We want everyone who listens to the program to go to Metaxis Talk.com.
You should go there anyway.
You can listen to this program live 24-7, actually.
It's in a loop.
So if you want to listen to the program, you can go to Metaxistalk.com and listen to it anytime, or you can get the app.
But when you go there, the banner for CSI is still up.
They extended the fundraise.
Lives will be affected by what you do today.
I want to encourage you.
God can use you right now.
It doesn't matter what you give.
doesn't matter that you give, go to metaxis talk.com, click on the CSI banner.
Today is, this is it. The campaign is over. It's been a fun ride watching those of you
who have stepped up. Yes. Change people's lives in ways that are practically unimaginable.
Here's the phone number 888-253-3522. 888-253-3522. Do it now. Give something, please, folks.
And I also do want to encourage you, Nutrimetics.com.
The products are spectacular.
I'm just going to be blunt.
They are spectacular products.
And if you use the code Eric, you get a 20% discount.
But even more amazing, 50% of their profits go to fund missions in the third world.
Ladies and gentlemen, what's not to love?
Nutrimidx.com, you should be taking vitamin D, vitamin C, zinc, magnesium, melatonin, all this good stuff.
Why not get it from a company that helps missions in the third world?
Nutrimetics.com.
And I use the products and we are staying healthy.
Let's just put it that way.
You haven't lost a single hair.
Not at all.
Actually, that might be a false claim.
We'll be right back.
Hey, folks, I've got to tell you a secret about relief factor that the father,
son, owners, Pete and Seth Talbot have never made a big deal about.
But I think it is a big deal.
I really do.
They sell the three-week quick start pack for just 1995 to any one.
struggling from pain like neck, shoulder, back, hip, or knee pain, 1995, about a dollar a day.
But what they haven't broadcasted much is that every time they sell a three-week quick start,
they lose money.
In fact, they don't even break even until about four to five months after if you keep ordering it.
Friends, that's huge.
People don't keep ordering relief factor month after month if it doesn't work.
So, yes, Pete and Seth are literally on a mission to help as many people as possible deal with
their pain.
They really do put their money where their mouths are.
So if you're in pain from exercise or even just getting older or to the three-week quick start for 1995.
Let's see if we can get you at a pain too.
Go to relieffactor.com.
Relieffactor.com or call 800, 500, 800, 3834, 800, 500, 800, 800, 800, 800, 8384.
Relieffactor.com.
I use it.
It works.
Hey, folks.
Welcome to the program.
As you know, I'm fluent in hundreds of languages, but Korean is not one of them.
So we're going to have an interpreter because it is my privilege today.
in the studio to have a real father in the faith with us.
His name is Pastor Oksu Park.
He's been an evangelist and pastor since 1962,
which is before I was born.
So I've got a lot to learn.
Pastor Park, welcome to this program.
Yes, very nice to meet you.
I'm so happy to be here.
I'm thrilled to have you here,
and I'm dying to know.
your story. Can you tell us
how you were raised and
how you came to faith and got in
the ministry?
So, Mr. McIntyre
how much made medeme of
and how much started
I was born
in 1944.
And in 1950, there was a big war in
Korea.
Never heard of it.
In 1951, my mother
passed away.
And afterwards, I went through a lot
of difficulties.
My big brother went to the army.
And my father was out at the war
providing help.
Overnight, the three grown-ups of my family were gone.
My biggest sister was 15, other sister was 13, and I was
eight, my little brother was four.
And we lived like beggars.
We had no idea what we were to eat.
And I woke up one morning because I heard a strange sound.
And it was my big sister, she was crying so sadly by herself.
And oftentimes we would get up in the middle of the night and cry together.
We were very hungry and cold.
And as I got older, because I was very hungry, I started stealing.
I would go to the wheat farms, cut off the wheat and eat them.
Steal potatoes and eat them.
And I stole apples and steal fruits from other people's farms.
But because I attended church, I was so tormented by this.
Every day I begged for forgiveness.
I thought I'm so sinful I must be going to hell.
But God did something very precious to me because...
In 1962, when I was 19,
all my pats before me had been blocked.
I applied to go to the army.
But I was disqualified because my front tooth was chipped.
I had no hope whatsoever.
And from then on, I wanted to go out more to the Lord.
And I begged and begged for my sins to be forgiven.
I was so sinful, I believed I was going to hell.
But one day in my heart,
I was praying asking for forgiveness.
But I had this heart a little bit that my sins are forgiven.
And from then on I began to read the Bible.
The Korean Bible is 1800 pages.
And it takes me two minutes ago.
And it takes me two minutes to read one page.
So you could finish the whole Bible in 60 hours.
And so for six days, I would finish the whole Bible.
I've done that many times.
The amazing thing is, the more I would read the Bible,
I realized I was doing the wrong way in spiritual life.
The Bible was saying,
the Bible did not talk about our world.
In many places of the Bible,
it tells us it is not of works.
That it is by grace.
But a lot of people are trying to get their sins forgiven by their works.
And that's when I started to change.
Ah, it's not about my efforts to get my sins forgiven.
Already at the cross, my sins got forgiven.
I came to realize that.
Through the Bible, that's what's amazing.
I have to interrupt that I wrote a biography about Martin Luther.
I've written a very similar story.
And it's a very similar story.
And there's a few people, giants of the faith, who had a very similar story.
George Whitfield, who was an American and British evangelist.
Why do you think that many Christians have this deep misunderstanding,
standing of the faith, that it's about what you do or you don't do.
Why many of the Gideotheculey are you
have that, what you're going to be able to
the reason is really simple.
It is because they do not look at the Bible
closely.
Ephesians chapter 2
For, by grace, are you saved through faith?
And it is not of works.
It is the gift of God, it says.
But people's thinking is
different from God's.
Because we are people, our thinking itself is based on us doing something and working.
And even faith in God, people think I have to be good.
And try and labor.
People have fallen into such kind of thinking.
And when I read the Bible,
I was able to completely break free from that.
Ah, it is not my work.
It is grace.
And in 2012,
I went to Ghana Africa.
And I had an opportunity to meet with the president there and speak with him.
President John Atta Mills of Ghana.
And this was what he said to me.
Pastor, I have a terrible sickness.
I think at most I have five more days to live.
But I'm afraid.
I have sins.
And I asked him,
Kaka has a sin.
Your Excellency, how did you know that you're a lot?
Your Excellency, how did you know that you're a sinner?
I'm a sinning.
Well, I commit sins, therefore I'm a sinner, aren't I?
I told him not so.
He was stunned.
I'm muted.
And I asked him, in which country,
does the sinner get to judge his own sin?
Have you ever seen God's judgment statement about your sins?
Your Excellity asked him, he asked, where is it?
I told him it's in the Bible.
Would you like to see it?
He said, yes, I do.
I read to him Romans chapter 3, verse 23.
For all have sin to come short of the glory of God.
That's what it says in verse 23.
But in verse 24, it's amazing.
Being justified.
Through the redemption in Christ, Jesus.
The amazing thing is,
Many Christians,
Romano 3rd and 2, 3rd,
everybody knows Romans 3.23.
But then nobody knows
verse 24.
They're right next to each other.
In verse 23, you come short to the glory of God.
However, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
it says being justified freely by his grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus.
And I spoke that to the president of Ghana.
This is God's judgment statement for you, your excellency.
You called yourself a sinner.
But in God's judgment statement, he says that you are justified, you are washed.
Not by your deeds.
Because Christ shed his blood at the cross, your sins have been paid for.
Did he believe that Christ shed his sins, that he died for him on the cross?
Was he some kind of Christian?
He was known as the most faithful president in Ghana.
Even though he says Jesus died for me, he was always in fear because of sin.
And when I shared these words with him, he said,
Wow, I'm washed.
I'm sanctified.
Wow, the Lord has truly washed me.
How does somebody have to come all the way from Korea to Africa for him to hear this message?
It's almost funny to me.
I'm from Africa from Africa to go to
come to
come to
it's a bit
I'm a lot of
I've held
many events like that
I've held many events like that.
After I received the forgiveness of sins
in 1962
I had my friends
that I grew up with in the church
I told them
you have to receive forgiveness of sins
my sins are forgiven
but I was not able to
explain to them
how your sins gets forgiven
now I'm able to
And after I was doing that for about a month,
everybody around me would say to me,
even the pastor says that we're sinners.
Even the elder says that you're a sinner.
Are you better than the pastor?
And they began to ostracize me.
But the amazing thing at that time was,
that time was, in the 1960s in Korea, there were many foreign
missionaries in Korea.
There were missionaries who had come from the U.S. from Germany.
And they had come together and started a missionary school.
And that's where I enrolled.
And there I got to learn about the Bible more.
And then I began to work for the gospel.
Did you ever think you would travel the whole world
reaching so many people when you were a young man?
I'd have been
like many
people to
talk about
young yourself
I never
imagine that would
even become a pastor
I never imagined that would even become a pastor.
I'm really
because pastors
are such
respectable people
I thought I'd be
content with a small
job somewhere
but I was
but after I
finished the
training at the missionary
school
other people
were called to serve
somewhere
but there was no
church asking me to come
and work for them.
So I went to a place called
Apokhton deep in the mountains.
And I was there for nine months.
Okay, we're going to hold it right there.
We're going to be right back with the rest of the story.
I think you know what's coming, folks.
Don't go away.
In case you haven't been paying attention,
the Biden administration has caused a financial crisis
and they have no clue how to fix it.
Oil prices have skyrocketed.
And when oil prices go up,
the cost of transportation and shipping spikes,
leading the prices of goods to rise.
And when we're already seeing record inflation, that's the last thing we need.
Our economy is in trouble and you need to take steps to protect yourself.
If all your money is tied up in stocks, bonds, and traditional markets, you are vulnerable.
Gold is one of the best ways to protect your retirement.
No matter what happens, you own your gold.
It is real, it is physical, it's always been valuable since the dawn of time.
Legacy precious metals is the company I trust for investing in gold.
They can help you roll your retirement account into a gold-backed IRA where you still own the physical gold.
They can also ship gold and precious metals safely and securely to your house.
Call Legacy at 866-528-1903 or visit them online at LegacyPMinvestments.com.
Hey, folks, I continue my conversation with Pastor Oksu Park, who's here with us in New York from Korea and all around the world and his interpreter Joseph.
If I have to ask you, Pastor Park, to continue this story because you said you went to some place in the mountains.
Yes, Tansokkonged, though, I said, and I was there in Apokokong in the mountains,
all I had me with was about $2 and a little bit of rice.
And enough rice to last me four or five days.
But as I was there for nine months, I relied on God.
And during the nine months there, God protected me there.
And when I was leaving there, I was so thankful that I had not starved to death.
And I would eat the fruits of the mountains, tree roots.
And that's what I did.
But were you alone there just seeking God or with some people?
It was a village and I preached the gospel there.
And through the husband, and through the.
preaching there was one lady who got to receive the forgiveness of sins.
And she changed completely.
She was living with a husband who was blind.
And she would carry small things on her head and sell them.
That was how she made her living.
But she changed so much after receiving the forgiveness of sins.
And then from then on, she quit selling stuff.
She would go and pray for people and she would cast out demons from people who are demon-possessed.
she would heal people through her prayers.
And in that town, she became very famous.
And through that, more and more people came to receive the forgiveness of sins.
I could see it was God who was guiding this.
And I was so thankful.
And after the nine months,
there was a small church in another town.
It only had a few Sunday school children as members.
And there, I started to work at the church there.
I ministered there for a year and a half.
And about 40 people came to receive the forgiveness of sins and become born again.
And I was so happy.
And then they sent a notice that I have to go serve in the Army.
I didn't want to go to the Army.
I wanted to continue preaching the gospel.
But even in the Army, God opened the doors for me to preach the gospel.
People who are struggling in sin when I see them receiving the forgiveness of sins and
being joy is, whoever gets to have the faith of the forgiveness of sins, the Holy Spirit I saw
living and working in them.
And it made me so happy.
There's such a joy in seeing God working.
There are many Americans in the American church who don't even believe that you can
cast out demons today.
But you saw this with your own eyes many times.
Yes, I have.
Have you ever seen people healed?
Then the
No, then you're not in the people
Yes.
Let me give you one example.
Yeah?
We sent a missionary to Liberia.
And one day I got a phone call.
The branch director in Liberia called me,
Pastor, John Choi is dying.
He had been stung by a scorpion.
He was sleeping at night.
under the mosquito net,
but his foot was
sticking outside the mosquito net, and
a scorpion stung him. He woke up,
ouch! What was that?
But there was nothing there.
And then he woke up in the morning.
Oh, last night, I think something pulled my foot with the needle.
Hey, brother, that must be a scorpion.
Don't joke about that, there's no scorpion here.
And then he woke up.
But then about 3 p.m.
John thought, oh, I feel not.
nauseous, I need to use the bathroom.
On his way, he collapsed.
Everybody rushed to him.
He stopped beating.
They started to try to wake him up.
He soiled his pants.
They quickly washed him up and brought him to the hospital.
The doctor said, he's going to die.
Take him away.
Please help us.
We cannot help you.
They got kicked out of the hospital.
So they went to another hospital.
The doctor said the same hospital.
same thing, but they begged and begged and then he stopped breathing.
They performed CPR.
And his pulse started beating again, but they said he was going to die in two hours.
So the Liberia branch director called me saying, Pastor John Choi is about to die.
Saying that he's going to die in two hours.
From Seoul to Liberia is 18-hour flight.
So I said,
Could I speak to John on the phone?
Yes.
Hey John, it's Pastor Park.
I said, John, can you hear my voice?
Yes, Pastor.
They say you've been stung by an African scorpion.
They say you're dying.
But this morning I read the Bible.
In Isaiah 40, verse 31,
what it says is,
But they that wait upon the Lord,
shall renew their strength.
John,
the Bible is the Word of God.
It never ever lies.
For you to overcome the poison of the scorpion,
you need new strength.
Wait upon God.
God never ever lies.
He will give you new strength.
And you can defeat the poison of the scorpion.
I spoke to him for maybe 10 minutes.
I'm hanging up the phone now,
grip and get up.
And John knew he was dying.
He said, God, I look to you, God.
And then he fell asleep.
And then in the middle of the night,
and then the new day was breaking.
The nurse thought, oh, I should wake up.
The nurse was those enough.
And she woke up and thought,
that young man must be dead by now.
I better go clean up his body.
But when she went to go check on it,
His blood pressure was rising.
Well, I said, hey, what you need a doctor?
Come here.
It's a miracle.
Wait, this is a cliffhanger.
Nobody move, folks.
Are you ready?
Don't go away.
Folks, Eric Metakas here.
Somebody just handed me a piece of paper with insane information on it.
But I know it's true because the other day, I literally got a phone call from Mike
Lindell telling me, Eric, you got to check out.
And then he tells me about this towel special, right?
And he says, you got to tell your audience.
Okay, so here's the special.
$39.99, if you use the code Eric, normally $109.99.
We're talking about the towels that work.
We've talked about this before.
It's a technology where the towels actually do the job of being absorbent and, you know, you know that whole thing.
So they're amazing towels, but you can get a set of six towels for $39.99.
You have to use the code, Eric.
Go to mypillow.com.
click on the new radio listener specials, or you can call 800-978-3057.
800-98-3057.
Use the code Eric.
Talking to Pastor Park, if you've been listening, you like me, or dying to know what
happened next.
So what happened next?
Yeah, so the young man woke up in the morning.
Oh, man, okay?
Oh, okay.
Yeah, I'm okay.
his foot had been all spoiled
and two months later his foot was also all healed
and now he's married he has three children
and he's in L.A. is IYF work.
What is IYF?
International Youth Fellowship
I went to L.A. in 1995.
I went to L.A. in 1995.
There's this one lady that I knew she came to see me asking me to help her son
and he's doing drugs
that he's carrying her on the gun.
She said I'm so scared.
So the mother said to her son,
Hey, you're my everything.
Can you not live like this?
Mom, don't say that.
You think I live because I want to live?
More than ten times a day I just want to die.
But I can't help this.
And so that mother came to me crying
to help her son, so I brought him with me to Korea.
He had rainbow-colored hair.
And he had torn pants barely hanging off his bottom.
So I didn't say anything else to him.
In John chapter 8, there's a story of the woman taken in the act of adultery.
This woman was supposed to be stoned to death.
But Jesus saved her and sent her home.
In the beginning, this woman had a heart of lust, committed the adultery, and then got caught.
And she was afraid.
She had a heart of fear because she was on the verge of being put to death.
But by the time Jesus was sending her home,
her heart was packed with a heart of thankfulness.
I was supposed to be stone to death.
She saw the stones fallen on the ground.
Those stones were supposed to have hit me and hit my face.
But Jesus saved me.
The thankfulness in her heart could not be erased.
And I thought about that.
She will come home, opens the room, wow, I am back home.
Wow, I'm back home alive.
I should have been dead.
Her heart was packed with thankfulness.
Jesus told her, go and sin no more.
But she's so full of thankfulness, how could she sin?
And as I thought about that,
that young man, Andy, he was a good-looking boy,
he was a good kid,
so I spoke to him.
And so don't do drugs, don't do that.
I didn't tell him that.
Of course, you can't really get drugs in Korea.
But I put the heart of Jesus in him.
And one day I saw this boy had changed so much in a matter of three months.
He received the forgiveness of sins.
And even, even if he received the forgiveness of sins.
And even now, when I talked to him on the phone, he's so happy.
And he stayed with us for six months and returned to L.A.
And from then on, it became a big deal.
What, Andy, you really don't want to do drugs?
I don't think so.
Let's see how long that lasts.
You're kidding.
You don't want to do drugs?
I don't think so.
But really, he wasn't doing drugs anymore.
People were amazed.
So the summer vacation of next year,
28 of Andy's friends.
They came and stayed at my church for one month during the summer vacation.
And almost all of those kids changed.
The next year, 69 students came.
And then in 2001,
not just from the United States, but from many different countries,
500 students came.
So IYF, International Youth Fellowship,
And that's how we started the organization, IOWIF, International Youth Fellowship,
and we're active all around the world.
You have done so many things that have become very, very big.
Tell my audience, who doesn't know you,
you're preaching in many countries, you're having conferences,
what are the things you're doing now?
Because your ministry has become, many Koreans maybe know you,
but Americans don't know you.
I don't know what other things
I've seen
I wanted to do
mission work
So we sent missionaries to many different
countries all around the world
Africa
And right now we have sent
missionaries all around the world
And we have about 60 missionaries of ours
in the United States as well
Africa
And also to many countries across Africa
What's a website where people can find you?
You can find us at CLFUSA.org.
And CLF is Christian leaders' fellowship.
And the motto is let us return to the Bible.
The CLF motto is,
the Bible.
Many Americans don't read the Bible.
Many American people don't read the Bible.
I mean, I'm in 2017.
In 2017, our brothers in New York,
went out and invited pastors in the New York area.
And about 700 pastors came, and we had a conference for one week.
And through it, most of them were changed.
And now we are active with this all around the United States.
I love this.
you are bringing people to God all around the world.
What is the situation in Korea today?
Is Korea a strong Christian country?
I know it was.
So, what's it?
Well, it's a kind of Greek culture
state is some of what is.
So as well, like just the same day
are under the law, following the law.
And to me, that's very heartbreaking.
They all say we are sinners.
They're crying, please forgive my sins, praying early in the morning.
I was reading Jeremiah chapter 31.
And I discovered an amazing word there.
In Jeremiah 31 verse 31,
Thus say it the Lord,
the days come,
I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah.
A covenant
not according to the covenant that I gave them
when I took them by the hand
to bring them out of the land of Egypt.
And then it says,
for I will forgive their iniquity.
And I will remember their sins no more,
saith the Lord.
It was so amazing.
God,
He says the new covenant.
He says the new covenant.
We need to put a,
pause for a moment.
We'll be right back.
This is good news.
Don't go away.
Folks, we're talking to Pastor Park,
Aksu Park, who is here in the United States.
Pastor Park, many times I think people like to dwell on their sinfulness.
because it makes them feel almost holy
that they're so focused on their sinfulness
and they almost feel
I'm not ready to rejoice in God's forgiveness
they feel they're unworthy
what do you say to somebody like that
that is hesitating?
So in Jeremiah 31 verse 31
He said, I will make you a new covenant.
It's a promise.
The first covenant was, in Exodus 19, when the law was being given,
they said, God said, if you keep the law, you will be blessed,
if not you will be cursed.
They said, we will keep them all.
They made that promise.
And that was the first covenant.
But they broke them all.
They have to be cursed.
But God said a new covenant.
And what is that?
Egypt's from out of Egypt.
Not like the one they got when they were coming out of Egypt.
So in Jeremiah 31, verse 34 it says,
For I will forgive their iniquity.
And I will remember their sins no more.
Sayeth the Lord.
First one act is the law.
So the first covenant is the law.
So the first covenant is the law.
If you keep it, you're blessed, if not you're cursed.
People said, we'll keep them all.
And people try to keep the law to be blessed.
And God knows that we are unable to keep the law.
That's why he prepared the new covenant.
And Jesus wrote on the ground with his finger in front of the woman taken in the act of adultery.
Two times God wrote with this finger.
First was the law.
Second time was he was writing the new covenant.
I never heard this explanation of this passage.
This is a beautiful idea.
That the first time was the law, the second time was the new covenant.
That's a beautiful idea.
This woman caught in the act of adultery.
If she is to be judged by the law, she has to be stoned to death.
Therefore, a new one.
Therefore, a new promise, the new covenant was necessary.
And what does the new covenant say?
For I will forgive their iniquity.
And I will remember their sin no more.
Most people remain under the law.
Because they don't know the new covenant.
Me, I didn't do anything.
My sins got forgiven by the work of Jesus.
It was not through my efforts.
But people think they don't have enough efforts.
And when I shared these words with people, people become.
so amazed.
That's why we made the Gratius Choir
and we do the I-Y-F and we are doing this kind of work,
mission work.
Don't you think many people just think
God is a liar?
Even though it says this, I don't want to believe it.
And what you're saying is, this is what the word of God says.
Believe the word of God, this is God's word.
It's that simple.
It's that simple.
Yes, very simple.
The Bible is simple.
Our thoughts are complicated.
But you have to believe these ideas and some people just ignore it.
And so what you do, which is I think made you so successful as an evangelist,
is you lead people to these words in the scripture.
And you make it clear, this is what God says.
If you explain the word,
everybody understands it.
It's so simple.
It's so simple.
For I will forgive their iniquity.
I will remember their sins no more.
It's hard when man is trying to get their sins forgiven themselves.
It is not works.
It is grace.
We're out of time.
It's just a joy to meet you.
I hope people will go to CLFUSA.org and look up Pastor Park.
Pastor Park and Joseph, thank you.
God bless you.
Yes, thank you very much.
Thank you.
Thank you.
