Chris, you also, oddly enough, are in Phoenix, Arizona. You're with me here in Phoenix, Arizona. And I think it's just, it's bizarre because I was in Colorado Springs, which is mountain time. Yes. Tomorrow I'm flying back to Colorado Springs, which is mountain time. But I flew here to Arizona thinking, oh, it's also, you know, two hours difference from New York. And then I found out, oh, no, it's three hours different because Arizona doesn't do daylight savings time. It's just bizarre.

So whatever time it is, it is. And it doesn't really matter. because people are listening wherever they are, and I just want it to be confusing up front. Have I succeeded? You have. It's a little bit like that movie Inception. Did you ever see that where it kind of time folds in on itself?

I saw it, but I don't remember when I saw it. I don't remember what time zone I was in when I saw it. Hey, I don't want to forget to say this, that we are in Phoenix, Arizona. Yesterday, we visited Grand Canyon University. I was so impressed. If we have time in the next segment, maybe I'll say more about that. In a few minutes after our second segment, I'm talking to Orlando Salazar, who started something.

And I just want to clarify where I'm coming from on the Kevin Sorbo controversy that he and I are, we've been publicly feuding. But before I, I clarify that. Oh, and I'm going to clarify it, folks. But people know the Bonhofer film is coming out. And I say to people, you know, people say, oh, is it a Christian film? And I say, well, yes, it's profoundly Christian. And you've got to go see it.

It's a great evangelistic opportunity. take your kids, take your neighbors, take your family. It's just a great film. I mean, I've seen it. It's amazing. But I always joke around and I say, but it's not a Christian Christian film because Kevin Sorbo is not in it. Yes.

He doesn't show. That's when atheist professor who, you know, who has a heart attack and gets run over by a bus at the end. Right. And that's why, and that's when I have to kind of clarify that, you know, Kevin and I, we've known each other for a long time, but I just think he resents me because I was his mentor back when he was starting on Hercules

and I was his physical mentor with the stunts and the physical part, you know, because I'm ripped and that's just, that's just my lane, you know, that physical lane. And at the time, it's hard because radio,

Eric, you take care of your body. Not a lot of people realize that. They don't understand. I'm doing one-handed push-ups, you know, on the brakes. When you go to a commercial,

I'm doing one-handed push-ups. And anyway, I guess the thing is that Kevin, you know, he just came to resent me because everybody, whenever they'd look at Kevin, you know, in his bod, they'd be like, oh, Eric Metaxos made that happen. And he didn't want to hear that at some point. And so there's just been some tension. But I believe the Lord could work it out. I believe in forgiveness.

Yeah, I mean, if they did some blood work on the two of you, it'd come back bad. There's bad blood. It's not, it's scientific at this point. It's medical. I mean, yeah, you can just look what the doctor sends back and you're like, oh, man, yeah, this is bad blood. This is bad blood. All right. So I would like to continue talking about this, but we better not.

Orlando or Orlando? Well, being Greek, you're doing it really well. You can roll the R's. So you're good. I always get Tampa and Orlando confused. You know what I'm saying? Well, yeah, but when people start knowing my name, they call. Orlando Orlando because I pronounce it Orlando you do I do see I should have known and it's Salazar Salazar Salazar very nice is it yes sir okay so what is your story because uh I know we have mutual friends so I already know I like you and I love what you're doing let me ask before that VOZ media is that

Yeah, because I don't speak Greek So so you You, so tell us the story How did you get This is a big deal I mean I was excited when I heard You were doing this You're doing it

How did it happen? Well, I saw that Univision and Telemundo were dominating Spanish-speaking media in our country Not just media but news Right and they are not telling a very good story.

And we learned in 2016 that Jorge Ramos is very annoying. Very annoying. And left-leaning. Sadly. He's a very brilliant guy, but he's... Is he brady with Hugo Chavez? Well, good question. I don't know that he's that bad.

But he leads our folks in the wrong direction. Yeah. Yes. He needs help. And so we're here to counterbalance that. So how did you, I mean, you're a businessman, but what made you, say, you know, yes, we can do this. We can give viewers a choice. Well, it was from a call from above. I mean, the Lord literally shoulder-tapped me and said, we need something done here. And I kind of

looked around and I said, well, who's going to do it? And he said, you're going to do it. And I said, well, Lord, we're dealing with two billion dollar companies. How am I going to do this against these giants? And he said, just trust me. And so it's amazing what we've been able to do in two and a half years, we have gone from zero to we are now achieving 15 million views a month on our platforms. We are now partnered with a day star. They started a Spanish language news channel. And we approached them and we said, it's wonderful that you're reaching people, Spanish speakers with the gospel. But if you don't reach them from a civic point of view, worldview, like educating them on how to vote and why to vote and understanding our values

within our country and how that works, it's wonderful that you're getting them saved, but if they don't start voting the right way, we're not helping the country. So they were gracious enough to move two of their pastors programs, 30 minutes each, and insert our news program Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern. You know what this is called? This is called the church being the church. Amen. Because the idea that the only thing that matters is, oh, we're going to be. going to get them saved. This is garbage. Jesus didn't come just to get people say he's not running

around, you know, doing the four spiritual laws with people. There's more to it, right? So if you don't disciple people, if you don't tell them what it means to be a follower of Jesus, that you're now going to be activated, there are many people, many pastors, many Christians, they don't get this. And it's why we are in this situation we're in, because the church has not been discipling its people. and teaching civics is a part of that. In other words, we're not living in the first century under the Roman Empire. We're in America where people have died so that we get to vote, we get to advocate for God's purposes in history now,

and there are many Christians don't get that. So God bless you for not just getting it, but for putting it into action, because this is going to help the church to be the church. There are many people that think, oh, this is a side thing. No, it's not a side thing. This is at the heart of discipleship. And I'm, you can tell, I'm thrilled.

It's vos, vos, voce. Yes, sir. Media. Right? Yes, sir. That's correct. And one of the other kind of missing components in this is a lot of the Spanish-speaking pastors that are coming to our country are coming from Central and South America.

And in their worlds, separating politics from religion, like, absolute, you don't mix that. Yeah, because they'll throw you in prison. Right. And so... We have something called freedom of religion in America. Well, that's correct. Yeah.

But they come here with that legacy, and so they need to kind of be retrained, and if they're not doing it, then we're helping them do it with our news program on Daystar. Have I mentioned that I approve of this? Thank you so much. I really do. I appreciate you. Oh, this is very exciting. Now, so, but what is the story?

I mean, you were a businessman who you were in commercial real estate. you owned a beef company. That's like a Dallas cliche. Well, I... No, that's a Fort Worth cliche. Well, you know, in Texas, you know, it's oil and cattle, right? And we do actually have cattle, and so we got a hat and the cattle, too. Not just all hat and no cattle.

But actually, it's my wonderful bride and her brother that own 44 farms. Wow. That's a lot of cattle. Well, that's the name of the farm. What? Forty-four farms. Oh. Yeah, yeah, that's the name.

We don't own that many farms. Oh. But it is the largest black angus genetics operation in Texas. The largest what? Black Angus genetics operation. We sell a lot of bulls and females. Black Angus genetics operation. Yes, sir.

I wasn't aware of any black Angus genetics operations, so I'll take your word for it that this is the largest one, but it sounds impressive. And this is so interesting to me because starting this media company that you're talking about, I want to say, I want to be clear, teaching moment for people listening.

This is living out one's faith. You put your faith in action. You don't say, oh, I'm saved and I go to church, but then the rest of my life, you are doing something gigantic. This is a very, very big thing. and I hope whoever watches this will support you. Now, how can they find you? It's vos.

Okay, so tell me, I was a little bit shocked to learn that MSNBC, which, you know, is to the left of marks and angles, that they did a reasonably favorable story on you and on boss. They did. And their angle was the fact that Hispanic evangelicals are literally the fastest growing religious segment.

in our country. Hispanics are leaving the Catholic Church and they're turning to evangelical churches. And so the basis of the story was, how will this change in direction by Hispanics going to evangelical churches and the advent of voice media, how will that impact the 2024 election?

And that was the basis of the story. So when did, Vos Media start? July 4, 2020. So we are now two years plus in. That's right. And so now we're on Daystar, 17 million homes in the U.S. on DirecTV and Verizon, 90 million homes in Latin America, and with our website and our streaming products, all of our YouTube, et cetera, 15 million views a month. This is good news, folks. I mean, it's amazing to me because what I, what I always say, I mean, because my father came from Greece, which was almost taken over by the communists. My mother came from Germany, her part of Germany, which became East Germany,

was taken over by Stalin and the Soviets. So they raised me to understand the satanic hell of communism, of Marxism. There's just no doubt, because they lived it, they saw it with their own eyes. And whenever I meet somebody from Cuba or from some place that they've tasted this, they get it. And so here we have all kinds of people. coming from countries, you mentioned it, where they do not have the freedoms we have here. And we need to awaken them that now you have those freedoms. People have bled and died so that you can bring your faith into politics, into the public square. You can protect your children.

You can speak out on all these issues. You don't have to go along with what the government says. But how's that going to happen because of what you are doing? It's happening. And what I would like to think is that, you know, it starts in the pews at the grassroots level. There are a lot of pastors in America, too timid or ignorant of these issues. And they need the people to let them know, we're not going to have that. We want you to preach boldly.

Well, exactly. And really what we're doing is we are providing information that they're not getting from Univision and Telemundo. That's for sure. And there's sins of omission and commission. Yeah. So they say things that aren't correct, and they don't say things. that need to be said. So we're filling those gaps. Well, look, that's the case of the mainstream media, obviously, everywhere,

but people like me, we wouldn't really think of it with regard. You know, I don't watch Univision or Telemundo because I don't speak Spanish. But I try. But I try. But this is a problem everywhere, and we know that there are some who are dealing with this. But you're dealing with it. You're the only one dealing with it in the world. that world. So you give me a lot of hope. Well, and just think about the number of people that just came across our border over the last two years. 90% of them were Spanish speakers. And we don't know how many, 15 million, 20 million. So we are not going to let the left's plan to just go

unchallenged. We are going to be there as an alternative to all those people that have come over and say, you may have come over for the wrong reason, but we're going to change your mind and show you what being in this country is all about. So this is the Marxist. You are the Marxist left's worst nightmare to take the people that they wanted to turn into a solid voting block for socialist big government garbage, turning them into proud patriotic Americans who understand that what we have here is different from the countries where they came and that they need to live it out or that they even could live it So you're doing that work.

So it doesn't surprise me that God gave you this idea. This is a very big idea. Well, it is. But, you know, he's given me a very faithful wife who's really been supportive of this. He's given me faithful friends and employees that really, this is a mission. You know, this is an opportunity. Yes, there's a market there. There's an opportunity to be successful monetarily.

But this is a mission, really, to save our people and save our country. I mean, the main reason I wanted to have you on this program is because I like to talk about people or two people that are living out their faith, that are an example to others to say this is how you live out your faith. Everybody has a different skill set, a different background. You have a business background. You decided to do something that's going to count in a huge way. But I just think that you're helping people see what it looks like to put our faith in action. That's not God's will that you just preach. preached the gospel. Jesus didn't just preach the gospel. He exhorts us to disciple those who have come to faith. It was filmed in Belgium, in Ireland. It's gorgeous. The acting, these actors are, I haven't really talked about this. These are big deal actors. They're not known in America, but they were, the lead who plays Bonham. offer. He's a very big deal actor in Germany. So I know the film when it comes out in Europe, which would be early next year. It's coming out here in this country, obviously November 22nd, but it's going to come out in Europe in February, March, April, different countries.

It's going to be very big in Germany. But anyway, I just want to say that that's November 22nd and tomorrow will air part two of Chris's interview with me. But I wanted to give a cruise update. now we're at a time. We have over 100 people have already signed up. I've got lots of friends talking about this. Yesterday, a friend of ours, I won't mention her name, but she told me she got two of her friends to join her. And to me, I wanted to say that to me is the fun thing.

It's like I keep thinking like grandparents, you know, get your 20-year-old or 21-year-old or 25-year-old. Like it's a cool thing. families can do together. Couples can do it together. We don't know. Albin is trying to figure out if he and Ann and his twin brother, identical twin brother and his wife, if they can come. But it's like a fun thing. It's going to be a fun experience.
