Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Mataxis show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Well, welcome. Tune in and then move on to item number eight, skydiving with Chuck Schumer and AOC. Here now is Mr. Completed My Bucket List at age 12, Eric Matt, Texas. Hey, Albin, I believe it's Thursday. All right, we're going to begin Thursday show.
Starting point is 00:00:49 Yeah, let's do it. All right, first of all, my guest in most of both hours today is a friend, Pastor Allen Jackson, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It's the largest church in Tennessee. It's called World Outreach. I have preached there many, many times. What a community. And he is a heroic guy who's willing to talk about the issues of the day.
Starting point is 00:01:13 He's not like those pastors that say, well, I don't want to, I don't want to weigh in on that. So anyway, we're talking to him. I want to talk about last night's CNN thing. Yes. With Donald Trump. Now, before, I've got an insane observation that I'll bet nobody else thought of this. I bet you. I bet you.
Starting point is 00:01:37 And so I put it on Twitter today and we'll see the response. But before I tell you that, a lot of people are going to, you're going to see. You're going to laugh and you're going to be a little freaked out because I don't think anybody else saw this except me. It's weird. This is weird. But before we get to that, I want to remind you, ladies and gentlemen, we've got some more good news here. We're doing a campaign for CSI to free slaves in sedan. We've talked about it.
Starting point is 00:02:08 We will continue to talk about it. We're only doing it this month. And I keep saying when people say, Eric, what can I do? There's a million things you can do. We're in a battle. We're in a war. But sometimes you can do something
Starting point is 00:02:22 that's just an unmitigated good. And to me, that is actually spiritual warfare. When you see an evil thing, slavery, okay? Now think how preposterous this is. We abolished slavery in this country 160 years ago, right? And there is slavery today, blacks and enslaving blacks. Today, now, while we're on the air doing this program, that is evil, folks. And we need to call evil what it is.
Starting point is 00:02:59 But if we just call it what it is, if we can do something about it and don't do something about it, then we are participating in evil. silence in the face of evil is itself evil not to speak is to speak not to act is to act so when you have a moment and you say I can actually do something about this evil this wickedness and I'm not just talking about praying of course God calls us to pray about everything and for everything so there's no doubt that that is uh you know the most important thing we could do but when you can do something else and you don't do it. So here we have in the Sudan Christians enslaved by radical Muslims who believe in slavery. These are black radical Muslims enslaving black Christians.
Starting point is 00:03:50 CSI has allowed us to participate in something with them where we can free those who are enslaved. every $250 that we raise on this program goes to free a slave and set them up in a life of freedom. It is a magnificent opportunity and a privilege that we get to do this. Whatever money you give, when it adds up to $250, you could do that yourself. Maybe you can do a multiple of that or you can just give something, some small amount. But the point is we are doing this right now. we've so far raised over $20,000. You do the math in your head. This is very exciting.
Starting point is 00:04:34 But we're a long way from our goal. And while anybody is enslaved and there are still many thousands that are enslaved, CSI is working on it, but they need our help. So they need your help. So I want to exhort you to go to metaxis talk.com. Metaxistalk.com. click on the banner. If you'd prefer to call, I'll give you the number.
Starting point is 00:05:00 888-253-3522. 888-253-35-22. I also want to encourage you before I talk about CNN, and I'm going to blow your mind. Just wait. Before I tell you what I saw last night, I want to encourage you to go see Nefarious because we got more good news. Nefarious, the film, trashed by critics, loved 96% rating on Rotten Tomato.
Starting point is 00:05:36 So everybody who sees it, loves it, but the critics are ticked. Why? Because this film is over the target. It deals with the demonic. It deals with the life issue. It is, you know, the kind of thing that we've prayed for decades that films like this would come out. Well, the good news is it is opening in more theaters this weekend.
Starting point is 00:05:56 You've got to see it. You've got to see it. People say, Eric, what can I do? I'll tell you what you can do. You can support great stuff. When something like this comes out, you've got to support it. But I'm telling you, you're not just supporting something that's great. You're going to see, as Albin has and I have, this is a wonderful film.
Starting point is 00:06:14 This is really great. It's rated R. That's a joke. It should not be rated R. I'm telling you, this is not an R-rated film. Yeah, and keep in mind, you'll say, like, well, is this a Christian film or not? In the background in one of the scenes, I think he's a prisoner, Kevin Sorbo does a walk-on. Therefore, we know it's officially a Christian film.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Thank you very much. No, honestly, you've got to see it. It is the idea that it's opening in more theaters this weekend, folks, that's a big deal. Films like this, normally they kind of peak and then they go away. By the grace of God, this is opening in more theaters. please see nefarious this weekend, drag everyone you can. You're doing something important. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:58 So before we get to our guest, Alan Jackson, last night, CNN blew away Fox News. Ha ha, ha, by, I'm not exactly a fan of CNN in case you're wondering, but the fact that they were willing to do this to get ratings, they had this, you know, town hall with a guy. I like to call President Trump. And my weird observation is, first of all, he blew, I mean, when you give Trump air time, he's amazing. So he was amazing.
Starting point is 00:07:33 He was so amazing that the commentators on CNN were freaking out. Afterward, they had a panel. They had to, like, they can't, they're so angry because they can, they know that this was good for Trump, which I just find hilarious. They know it's good for Trump, so they're freaking out. People from the Lincoln, the disgraced Lincoln Project are chiming in. How could CNN do this? Yeah, how could they give time to a twice elected president of the United States to, like, defend himself or to get his point of view out there? Well, Fox, this never would have happened if Fox hadn't fired Tucker. And so it serves Fox right. And I will not. watch Fox because of what they did. And I will watch CNN if they put on Donald Trump. I'm happy to do it. But I think Newsmax is the only place you can go in this day and age to see the Trump rallies. Okay, here's my observation. The host who was questioning Trump looked remarkably,
Starting point is 00:08:43 and this can't have been intentional, but looked weirdly like. like Dylan Mulvaney. When you watch it, you see pictures of Dylan Mulvaney. I just thought this is so bizarre. This is like one of these things that, now, of course, the host on CNN was an actual woman.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Dylan Mulvaney is a fake woman, pretending to be a woman. But I just thought that's got to be one of the weirdest things, completely unintentional. By the way, Dylan Mulvaney, you want to talk about talking. But light and Anheuser-Busch stock has plummeted as it should, folks. I hope you never, ever buy another Anheuser-Busch product because what they did,
Starting point is 00:09:31 it's like what Disney did, supporting the groomers. You really have to take a stand against companies like Anheiser-Bush, like Balenciaga, like all these companies that are just doubling down on pushing lies, confusing children, That's what Anheuser-Busch did. But again, I just, I don't think anybody else said it, but I thought to myself, the hairstyle, it's just hilarious. Anyway, when we come back two hours talking about everything with our friend Alan Jackson, I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did. Stay tuned.

His name is Pastor Alan Jackson. So he's not just my friend. He has a job. He's the pastor of a church where I've had the honor of preaching many times World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A fabulous church. And just a joy to be with you in person in the studio, New York City. Pastor Alan Jackson, my friend, welcome. Thank you, Eric. It's good to be with you in the city.
Starting point is 00:12:59 You're always just fun to talk to, but the problem, of course, is where there's so many things we can talk about. The last time you were on, we talked about your book, Big Trouble Ahead. So why don't we start there? Because there's a whole bunch of issues, kind of current events issues I want to talk to you about. Kind of some of them are very exciting. But let's start with you, if you don't mind, reprising the thesis of your book, Big Trouble Ahead. basically what do you say in that book? I think the idea was the pandemic was not a conclusion. It was an entry into a new season.
Starting point is 00:13:33 And from this vantage point, I really think it was a gift. It feels like the curtain got pulled back and we became so much more aware of what had been happening to us. It wasn't new. Maybe the downside of that is I think there's more disruption in front of us. And we have to learn the lessons from that pandemic in order to flourish in what's before us. But the good news is we can flourish. God's not frightened or intimidated. You know, I never thought of this before, but it was kind of like Pearl Harbor.
Starting point is 00:13:59 Nobody says Pearl Harbor was a good thing. But it woke up America, and it made us understand, okay, now we've got to put our shoes on and go to war with imperialist powers that we've been kind of ignoring. Sometimes bad things can be the wake-up call that activates us, whoever we are. And you're right to see it that way. And of course, that's a biblical view, right? We think Romans 828, really bad things, if we give them to God, the Lord can use. And he is doing that. I mean, you know, what happened during COVID, again, you say this in the book we said in our conversation,
Starting point is 00:14:44 it has activated a lot of people. It's made them realize I can't sit on my hands anymore. I can't just go to church on Sunday and say I'm done. It's activated some people. I'm not ready to say it's activated a lot yet. But I think awakened is a really good analogy. When you're asleep, you're uninvolved, you're unconcerned. It's not a bad thing.
Starting point is 00:15:04 It's a natural state of being, but it's not fruitful. And at some point we have to wake up. And the question is, are you awake? Are you paying attention? Are you still playing shuffleboard on the deck of the Titanic? complaining about the hors d'oeuvres. Right. And we've got to make a choice now, whether we're going to look at the truth and do something
Starting point is 00:15:19 about it or keep pretending that we don't notice. Well, and obviously in my book, which I spoke with you about on your podcast and at your church, letter to the American church, you know, I'm trying to make the biblical case. Like, hey, folks, where did we drift to where we thought we didn't need to be active citizens putting our faith into action in every sphere? Where do we get that unbiblical idea? and can we get away from that unbiblical idea? And I've been thinking about a lot about Bonhofer over the years.
Starting point is 00:15:50 He was trying to make this case in Germany that, hey, church, this is your job. This is not a hobby. This is your job. Your faith has to be lived out in every sphere. And when evil threatens you, when authoritarian regimes, tyrannist regimes are taking away your rights, it's your job to do something about it. And I agree with you. Some people are waking up, certainly not enough.
Starting point is 00:16:15 But you and I are both making the case in our different spheres. I guess I want to talk to you about so many things. There's no doubt that one of the craziest things that's happened in the last few years is the transgender issue. Where in the world did this come from? and how is it that people are unwilling to call a spade a spade to say, excuse me, this is crazy. Five minutes ago, we decided men can become women and women can become men. Who made that decision and who's telling me that I have to agree with that decision? I mean, as a pastor, how do you talk about that?
Starting point is 00:17:04 Well, you ask about the origins. I think it's the pit of hell. You know, God's not the author of Confucius. I think the awkward part of this is it hasn't begun in the last few months. Vanderbilt was doing gender modification surgeries on minors before COVID. We just didn't know it. It wasn't garnering headlines. It was a profit center for them.
Starting point is 00:17:25 And the good news is COVID began to awaken us to the almost complete capitulation of the medical community to political ideology. They've stepped away from their Hippocratic oath and their first do no harm commitment. and they're engaging in doing harm for profit. That's awkward to say, but from this point in the COVID drama, we have to be willing to say it. Equally striking is the silence of the church. You don't have to read very far into the book before it says God created them male and female. So you don't even have to read for the punchline. He hasn't changed his mind.
Starting point is 00:17:59 He hasn't revisited it. It's not confusing. You know, Budweiser put a trans person on their can lately. It's worked out really well for them. But I suspect if you could interview one of the veterinarians that takes care of the Clydesdales for Budweiser. Yeah. They have delivered hundreds of foals. When those new foals arrived, there's never been confusion, whether it was a cult or a Philly.
Starting point is 00:18:19 They have clarity. Or whether it came out of a stallion, perhaps. I've got to tell you, I'm glad you brought up the Budweiser, I have said over and over again, when really, really foolish, selfish, crazy people overreach, we have to react. We have to say, okay, Anheiser Bush, you're dead. I will never order another Stella Artois, which I now understand is an Anheiser Bush product. I would never, I would tell everyone I know, never ever to order another Anheiser Bush product. But like, why?
Starting point is 00:18:58 Because what they have done is this. It is very similar to when you talk about doctors taking money. I mean, look, you and I have a biblical worldview. We understand there's this thing called satanic evil in the world, and we kind of pretend like, well, we don't have that in America anymore. Taking money to do something like most of these transgender surgeries, it blows our minds that somebody would get a medical degree, would enter this hallowed profession.
Starting point is 00:19:31 then would prostitute themselves and do anything to make a ton of money, even though most of them know this can't end well, or maybe not even care whether it ends well. Just know that I'm going to make a lot of money and I've got the culture on my side. And when people do that, I mean, when, when Anheuser-Busch just did that, it is a slap in the face of every single American. Beard drinker and teetotaler alike. It's just a slap in the face. And I think it's incumbent on us as part of waking up to say, I will never spend a dime there. I will never spend a dime with Disney when they stand with the groomers. But the problem, Pastor Allen, is that we still have a lot of people in the church that don't understand that it's our job to be full citizens, not just to be
Starting point is 00:20:30 citizens in this little theological world and then let the devil run rampant throughout the rest of the culture. Yeah. You know better than I do. There's some historical precedence for this. This is Mingola-like what we're doing to our children. And the capitulation of the church, it's not the first time we've seen this. It's happened throughout history. But I think the challenge we face today is the reluctance amongst church leaders to talk about what's happening in our culture. We've been trained in theology. So we're happy to do a presentation. or write a paper on Pauline theology. But we're reluctant to embrace what's happening in our culture.
Starting point is 00:21:06 But the reality is the scripture is filled with that. There are no Hebrew prophets if we don't acknowledge their engaging culture. Acts chapter 2 on the day of Pentecost, Peter stands up in the streets of Jerusalem, says, you killed the Messiah. That's offensive language. Jesus was provocative. He goes into the synagogue on the Sabbath, and there's a man with a shriveled hand. And he looks at the gathered people and said,
Starting point is 00:21:30 Is it appropriate to do right on the Sabbath? And they won't answer because they want to trap him. So he heals the man. He purposely antagonizes them with the truth. And we have to recognize that we have an assignment to antagonize ungodliness with the truth from the Word of God in our biblical worldview. And the church has withdrawn from that because we wanted to be friends and we don't want to lose our invitations to the parties. And we want to be accepted when we go to the club. so we are dumbly silent because we don't talk about faith or politics and polite company any longer.
Starting point is 00:22:04 We've been called to be salt and light. And salt and light are disruptive influences in our lives. You know, it's almost funny when I think about, when I wrote my book on William Wilberforce, right, how people cheer that this guy, you know, this politician brings his faith into politics and abolishes the slave trade. Isn't it great that he did that? or people cheer Bonhoeffer for bringing his faith to speak up for the Jews. And now when it comes to us, not all, but many of the Christians who cheered those figures
Starting point is 00:22:39 and reading my books, and they say, well, but not now. We're not supposed to be political. And you and I are making the cases when we can. That's nonsense. That is not a biblical worldview. And if you hold to that worldview, you're holding to an unbiased. biblical worldview. And where does that come from?
Starting point is 00:22:59 The Pit of Hell. We'll be right back. With a billion stars all around. Because I got a peaceful... Are you tired of not getting a good night's sleep? Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain. I'm often asked that question just the other night. I was asked that question.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal. That's right, designed to heal. And I agree with them. And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor, for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, and each one of them helps your body deal with inflammation. Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway. That's the point. So approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such wonderful relief. If you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or
Starting point is 00:24:55 foot pain from exercise or just getting older, you should order the three-week quick start discounted to only 1995 to see if it'll work for you. It has worked for about 70% of the half a million people who've tried it and have ordered more on one of them. Go to Relieffactor.com or call 800 for relief to find out about this offer. Feel the difference. Welcome back. I'm talking to my friend, Pastor Alan Jackson of World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro,
Starting point is 00:25:31 Tennessee. Okay, so sticking with current events, there was a shooting recently, not far from you. at a Christian school, a trans terrorist, a crazy woman who wrote a manifesto that they will not show us, clearly specifically targeted Christians. And the media is afraid to look into this, to talk about this. It doesn't fit their narrative. I would say that a little different. They're not afraid.
Starting point is 00:26:08 They're purposely hiding the ball. it's to become a part of their propaganda where they hide the truth and they give you the narrative they want. There has nothing to do with fear. It's intentional manipulation. And the Christians have got to become more savvy consumers. This would have been a hate crime if you'd have plugged any other minority into that school. If it had been a Hispanic school, a Jewish school, a Muslim school, a black school, it would have been a hate crime before the sun went down. It was a Christian school. the person clearly went hunting Christian, hunting Christian children and some specific children,
Starting point is 00:26:42 and they won't release the documentation that says that. I know some of the officers that have worked on it. It's not a mystery. They're hiding that. And we don't demand the truth. It's unfortunate until the Christians decide to stand up. We've reached a pivot point, and honestly, I don't know what the outcome's going to be
Starting point is 00:27:01 because I don't see enough expressions of courage right now to cause me to believe we're going to walk this back. I think the current generation of young people or old people, we couldn't repeat Normandy because we wouldn't load those landing crafts and head into that fire. It's going to take that kind of a commitment to see a biblical worldview come back to the public square. They are hunting Christians. They're telling us that Christians aren't, they're not welcome in a school because putting Christian student teachers are dangerous for the students and the population. Now, that's been walked back by a court. But the school board said it and nobody in the media said anything,
Starting point is 00:27:36 and the Christians didn't stand up for themselves. At what point, you and I, we've listened to the interviews with the Holocaust survivors. You can hear in the shock in their voice 50 years later. I was the president of the bank in Berlin, or I was the head of the university in somewhere. And they came for me. I've come to the realization that they came for the people that were below those positions of the power, and they stayed silent because they thought they were insulated. They never thought it would reach them.
Starting point is 00:28:03 folks they are coming for us and if we don't stand up and tell the truth and defend our children and defend our families what freedom we have left will be taken from us it's time to find the courage to be christ followers in the public square i keep uh quoting i don't know the exact verse but it's one of the last verses in the scripture in revelation about who will be cast into the lake of fire and it says the cowardly and i thought why Wow. What could be clearer? Courage is not extra credit Christianity. Courage is fundamental because it follows that if you have real faith, you say, okay, I'm saved by faith.
Starting point is 00:28:48 I'm saved by faith. Okay. If you have real faith, then you will have courage. If you don't have courage, it kind of proves that you don't really believe these things, that you're hedging your bets. And you're quite right. We've raised, I mean, look, C.S. Lewis wrote about this, what, 75 years ago in men without chests, the abolition of ban, that when you raise people who kind of sneer at honor and dignity and courage, particularly with regard to men, you're raising men without chests. You're raising people to be selfish, not to be noble, not to be chivalrous. That's what we're talking about. When we think about the boys that landed in those amphibious craft, you know, on D-Day, you do wonder today whether we would be able to stand against the evil of Nazism. And I guess, well, you and I know that we have a long way to go because we haven't taught these things in the schools. But we haven't even, the main thing, and this is what gets to where we are, we're not teaching. them in the churches. We're not teaching a muscular Christianity and activist, courageous Christianity. That's the kind of Christianity that abolished the slave trade. That's the kind of Christianity that helped wipe out slavery in America, that helped Lincoln win a war.
Starting point is 00:30:20 It seems like we've forgotten that that's really what it is to have faith, is to live out your faith. But let's distill it back one step further. When we say it's not happening in the churches, we feel a little bit absolved because we're not the pastor or the church leader. It has to start at the kitchen table. We have to have the courage as parents to teach our children what nobility is, what honor is, what dignity is. Our aspirations for our children have to be greater than their happiness, or to have the cutest dress at the prom or the biggest limo when they go with their peers. We have to be willing for our children to engage in the difficult issues of our generation
Starting point is 00:30:56 to plant in their hearts the aspiration to be difference makers. If we'll do that at the kitchen table, if we'll tell the truth at the kitchen table, and then we'll have the boldness to take the truth to the holiday table with that expanded family. There's going to be repercussions, because every family tree has a few fruits and nuts, and it's going to be an awkward conversation.
Starting point is 00:31:16 But then we have to lead with our faith when we go to the ball fields, and we're sitting in the bleachers with our peers who are watching children and grandchildren, to be willing to acknowledge that we're Christ followers and talk about what's happening, in the world. If we'll bring that back to the fabric of our lives, churches will suddenly become filled with a new kind of courage. Unfortunate, but most pastors are employees. If the places they're serving have people that have a different kind of courage and strength, Churchill's will find
Starting point is 00:31:42 a new voice. Well, that's part of what is happening, and you and I've talked about it, that churches that are being bold on this stuff, they're seeing their numbers increase. Churches that are hedging their bets and being quiet, they're trying to cling to the people that they've had. had. They're losing them. We'll be right back talking to Pastor Alan Jackson. Welcome back. I'm talking to my friend, Pastor Alan Jackson, author of the book Big Trouble Ahead. We're talking about a lot of things. And you were talking about, we were talking about this issue of courage. I really do think, I said it, that there's a sifting going on, that things are so bad that your average American is looking at. You're for truth, looking for leadership, looking for courage. And when churches dare to talk about
Starting point is 00:32:54 these things, as you do at World Outreach, they're finding greater audiences, sometimes online and in person. But I hear this over and over again. The churches that invite me tend to be the ones that they all have the same story, that we've grown since COVID, where more people are coming. And the churches that refuse to talk about this stuff that want to, quote, unquote, stick to the theology as though you could, which you can't, but, but they, they are wanting to go back to, I don't know, you know, 2015, 1985. I don't know where they think we can go back to. But what I say is this is silence in the face of evil. This is, God will not hold us guiltless. You are obliged to talk about these things. You're obliged to connect
Starting point is 00:33:44 the dots, you're not doing, you're actually not preaching the whole council of scripture if you avoid some of these hot button issues or if you refuse to make the connections from what the scripture says to what we do about it in our lives today. Yeah, if I could speak to the pastors or even the board members or the presbyteries or the leadership in those congregations, Christian leaders are trained to study the social context from which scripture emerged. They've spent hundreds of hours learning about first century culture so you could understand the New Testament, or 10th century BC culture so you could understand the monarchy in Israel. It makes no sense to understand first century culture and then
Starting point is 00:34:23 not apply your faith to the 21st century culture. So we're not breaking the traditions of Christianity to become some sort of political activist. We're following our training. Our faith can only be understood in the light of the world we live in. To do less than that is to deny your faith. It's a false church, it's a false gospel, it's another gospel. It's not a new thing. It's happened throughout history. You mentioned Germany earlier. The big segment of the church in Germany went along with the public doctrine and the propaganda
Starting point is 00:34:54 so they didn't lose their place at the table. We will be evaluated. I'm not concerned about history. I'm concerned about God. He will judge us if we don't have the courage. When God was preparing Joshua to lead the Hebrew slaves into the promised land, the message he gave him more than a half a dozen times, be strong and courageous.
Starting point is 00:35:12 And I think if we will start there in our homes, with our friends, with our families, we will see a different outcome. I really do feel like the season in which we find ourselves, which is difficult, it is strengthening a lot of people's faith. In other words, it's forcing us to decide, do I really believe this? Now, some people are shrinking back and saying, well, I just, I don't want any trouble, which is kind of, you know, like the German pastors that said, Well, I don't want to lose my salary.
Starting point is 00:35:44 I don't want to lose. I don't want any trouble. I don't want any trouble. We now look at them as they're the ones that allowed the satanic evil of the Nazis to gain control of the entire nation. Bonhofer said that the church is the conscience of the state. And I really see the parallel happening now. And again, I've talked about this with you before.
Starting point is 00:36:04 But it's pretty dramatic because it's so easy for us to judge the German church back then. and we're being guilty of the same thing. We just think it can't happen here, just as they were sure it couldn't happen there. Well, it's similar to me to the person who realizes your health is declining, but you don't want to go to the doctor and get a bad diagnosis, when in reality the path towards health is finding out the truth so you know how to resolve it.
Starting point is 00:36:28 I've cultivated this little habit of writing down headlines on a regular basis. If your listeners will practice that, it'll help them a lot. Defund the police, open the border. Don't prosecute criminals. encourage drug use and take away their guns. Wait a minute, if you're following that, there's a logic break. And if you'll write down those headlines about every fourth or fifth one, there'll be a break in logic. They're manipulating us with propaganda.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Pay attention, have the courage, cultivate a biblical worldview, get your Bible out, read it. You need Christian encouragement and fellowship. It's not complicated, but it's going to take some determination. Well, it really is interesting because many people, as you said, they don't want to know. They want to pretend this bad stuff isn't happening. It will go away. It will resolve itself. You hear people say, well, I believe the pendulum swings back and forth. And, you know, you want to say, hey, idiot, have you heard of the Holocaust? Like, is that how far the pendulum needs to swing? Do you not feel a moral responsibility to step in before things go in that direction? But
Starting point is 00:37:33 people, they act like, well, that was a weird thing that happened to some people at some point. But he can't happen here. And I keep making the case, well, that's why it happened there because they didn't believe it could happen there. These were Christians in Germany who refused somehow to take responsibility and to step up. And you know, you are one of not too many voices that is talking about this, Pastor Alan Jackson. And so I just want to recommend people to follow you. The church is in Murfreesboro World Outreach. The book is big trouble ahead. I want to talk to you about so many other things,
Starting point is 00:38:17 if I can keep you for a little while longer. And I want to talk to you about lawlessness. Why don't we at least just touch on that in the minute or so we have left? The opening of the border, just disregard for fundamentals. Well, again, this isn't. I think the hardest thing about this season is we act like it snuck up on us. Well, we have to acknowledge as we weren't paying attention. We've had sanctuary cities for well over a decade.
Starting point is 00:38:46 We had major American cities not honoring federal law, but demanding federal dollars, and we tolerated it. We've had a flood of people coming across our border for a long time. How many times do we have to grant amnesty to the newest set of people who have come here illegally? Which part of illegal don't we understand? If I'm making illegal withdrawals from the bank, they're going to put me under the jail. We have been tolerating lawlessness for a long season, and now we wake up and we're startled that it's arrived. We've got a whole level of bureaucracy that has been built on lawlessness and ignoring the rules of law. We're going to have to have the courage to come back and say, it's not okay.
Starting point is 00:39:25 And if we will do that, then we've got to stop taking the free stuff. We've got to stop letting them pay off our loans or give us points on our mortgage or whatever the promise. of the day, or they float out an idea like equity, I should get what you have, so I have a better future. It's lawlessness. And it will destroy us and destroy our children and our grandchildren. Well, again, I'm convinced that more and more people every single day are waking up to this, but they need leaders in the church to make it clear. We'll continue the conversation with Pastor Alan Jackson. The book is Big Trouble Ahead. Hey, folks, welcome back. I hope you've been enjoying my conversation with Pastor Alan Jackson of World Outreach,
Starting point is 00:40:31 Church in Murphy's Borough of Tennessee. We've got plenty more with Pastor Alan Jackson in hour two. Yep. But I wanted to tell you that right after this segment, we're doing our standard Thursday hour two, segment one, ask metaxus. So that is the next segment will be Ask Metaxis. Following that, we simply will continue my conversation here with Pastor Alan Jackson. We're going to get into, there's some kooky stuff. It looks. like Senator Tim Scott, the black senator from South Carolina, Christian, that he will be entering the GOP race. I mean, I could have never predicted that.
Starting point is 00:41:17 We've got Larry Elders. Crazy stuff, RFK Jr., I want to talk to Pastor Jackson about that stuff because he has interacted with Tim Scott. Anyway, so lots more coming up with him. But in the next segment, Ask Metaxus, and we've got some particularly difficult questions. I'm just going to tell you, I'm not kidding. So that's coming up in the next segment. Get ready.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Now, so before we go to Ask Metaxus and before we continue with Pastor Jackson, I want to mention people are asking, Eric, what can we do specifically? And I'm not trying to be self-serving. I'm being honest. There are many things that I'm working on, project. streaming TV series based on my books and things like that, that are really meant to be an answer in the culture to some of the problems we're facing. Because I actually believe that, you know, you've got to do everything. You can't just be political.
Starting point is 00:42:19 You've got to vote. You've got to get involved. If you have an inclination, get involved politically. Run for office. Get on your school board or homeschool your kids. There's a million things you can do. But I really feel like culturally speaking, that's our biggest problem is that we're not putting things into the culture to help people think biblically, to help people who maybe aren't even serious about faith, to kind of get a handle on a lot of the things that we're facing. We're certainly not getting it from the mainstream media.
Starting point is 00:42:53 So if you want to help me, I would say you can help me by going to give send. go.com slash Eric. Give send go. dot com slash Eric. And that just means helping me general with all of these Metaxus media projects, which I really rarely mention on the air, but we are, we're very serious about really making these happen.
Starting point is 00:43:24 And so I ask for your help at give, send go.com slash Eric. And also, I want to say it, I don't know if I say it enough, I don't think I do, to support our sponsors. Mypillow.com, use the code Eric. Mike Lindell, I don't need to tell you, that man has been a hero. MyStore.com, if you want to get all kinds of stuff, my books, for example, you can go to my store.com, use the code. Eric, we hope you will support my store.com. and MyPillow.com. And MyStore.com, have we mentioned the coffee?
Starting point is 00:44:04 Oh, the best. Honestly? Yeah, really. I mean, if you drink coffee, go to MyStore.com. Use the code, Eric. Get it from Mike Lindell, and you will see we're not making that up. He stomps the beams himself. Yes, exactly.
Starting point is 00:44:20 Oh, and Nutrametics.com. Don't forget, nutrometics.com. Listen, your immune system. Yep. If you care about your immune system, okay, vitamin D. Vitamin C, zinc. There's a number of other things. Melatonin.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Melatonin. Get it at Nutrametics.com. Use the code. Eric. Nutrametics.com use the code. Eric. Okay, when we come back, ask metaxis, and then plenty more with Pastor Alan Jackson.
