Ladies and gentlemen, looking for something new and original, something unique and without equal.
Look no further. Here comes the one and only Eric Mattaxas.
Hey there, folks. Welcome to Friday, which means.
I'm in California.
I've never traveled as much.
Chris, I don't know who I am anymore.
I don't know where I am.
It's unbelievable.
I find it's best to get a Sharpie
and with someone as busy as you are
to kind of write it down on your arm.
So when you wake up in the morning,
you know.
You can just look over.
Oh, Iowa.
Thank you.
Before I forget, in this hour,
we're talking to our friend,
Pastor Greg Locke,
from the Nashville area in Tennessee.
He has a book out.
Very exciting.
Yesterday I was on the phone with my friend Ken Fish.
And, you know, these are the two people, Ken Fish and Greg Locke, that are talking about
deliverance and are involved in the ministry of casting out demons.
Now, if you don't believe in that, you might as well say, you don't believe in the periodic table
or science.
This is reality.
If you've ever been around it, I defunded.
you to tell me what you think is going on.
But anyway, we're talking to Greg Locke, and that'll be hour one today.
I'm not sure who we have an hour two yet.
It'll be somebody great.
But it will be great.
That's the only thing I can say.
And my hair looks like it was styled by Vivek Ramoswami's people today.
I don't know what's going on with my hair.
So please try not to look at it.
Okay.
Yeah, Eric, it's very important.
don't want to go full Bollywood with your hair. It just will look too fantastic and terrific.
That's what Vivek is doing. He's going full Bollywood. It's kind of like Elvis on steroids, Elvis,
Prince, Jerry Lee Lewis. It's kind of a pompadour kind of thing. I don't know what's happening.
Okay, but listen, we don't want to talk about that. We want to talk about the fact that I'm traveling
so much. Why? I don't know why, but I will tell you next week I'll be in Grand Rapids doing
an event at Cornerstone University. After that, I go back to Dallas where I'm doing something,
Christ for the Nations, that's October 7th. Then I go to San Antonio. I'm speaking in San Antonio,
October 11th. Sorry, October 10th. Then I go back to Dallas. We're doing a number of Socrates in the
city events, which are totally sold out. I'm sorry about that. But if you go to Socrates and
City.com. You can watch it live. It's going to be October 12th live. And you can watch it.
I hope you will. I want people to understand that, you know, it can be fun to watch it live because
it's not edited. So all the flubs and fluffs and a lot of cursing. I'm just being honest with you,
a lot of cursing. We have some guests. It gets very raw. It's very salty. But we edit that out eventually.
But if you want to see it, if you want to hear it, if you've never heard. I was just going to say,
AI now can just, you tell it what you want to leave in. And, you know, if you want to keep in the
word, you know, honky-tong, it'll leave that in. But it'll, it'll delete other words you don't want in there.
So that's Socrates in the city.com. You can sign up for, that's, that's the event we're doing on
October 12th. On October 13th, I'm going to stay there in Dallas, Fort Worth. And we're doing some
Socrates in the studio sessions, one of which will be with the great John.
Miroc. He has a book coming out called No First Amendment. No First Amendment. Sorry, no Second Amendment, no first.
It is a book worthy of John Zmirak writing, so I'm glad he wrote it. So we're going to be doing a Socrates. He's in the studio session with him on October 13th. It just gets crazy. After that, I go to Augusta, Georgia. I'm reading this. Augusta, Georgia. Houston. I'll be in Houston on October 19th, Johnson City, Tennessee.
That's right. I'm going to Johnson City, Tennessee. From there, I'm doing a number of appearances where we're promoting the letter to the American Church documentary film. So I'm going to Albuquerque, going to San Diego. I'm going to the L.A. area again to promote that. Then I'm going to be in Omaha, Nebraska. Am I making this up? I'm going to be in Omaha, Nebraska. I'm going to be in Colorado Springs. I'm going to be in Rocky Mountain Calvary Church in Colorado.
Springs. I'm going to be in Chino Hills with Jack Hibbs. It's crazy. And I actually ask you to pray for me,
because this is a very solid, crazy schedule that I will need, I need prayer support. And I believe in
that. I know there are people who pray because it gets tough. I'm a little bit under the weather.
Not sure what's going on. But the documentary, The Letter to the American Church documentary,
very excited about that. Obviously,
excited to get pastors in particular to understand where we are in our country.
And as you know, I think I've mentioned it a few times.
We have a study guide that we published along with Letter to the American Church.
So if you want to study in a small group, I mean, the question is, is this biblical or not?
If it's not biblical, throw it in the garbage.
But if what I'm saying is biblical, we need to take heed.
We need to get serious about this.
If you think of yourself as some kind of Christian.
Blow it off. Speaking of where we are in the country, Chris, I have to bring this up.
Yeah.
If you, you know, see what they are throwing at Trump, you don't need to like Trump, folks, okay?
But what they're doing is evil. It's not right.
They are also coming after Mike Lindell. I posted on Twitter, American Express.
has canceled his line of credit, or I think reduced it by 90 cents, which effectively will
destroy his business.
That is what is happening in America right now.
And we need to do everything we can do to stand with people who are being canceled,
even if you don't agree with them, it is wrong.
And if you think it's good when it happens to somebody that you don't really care about
or maybe you don't like them, you're a hypocrite.
because these are principles, these are American principles, free speech, being able to advocate for what we believe in.
And so Mike Lindell has been heroic in that. And they're coming after him in a new way that really got my attention.
So I said, I want to do what I can. We're going to try to get him on this show to talk about it.
But if you can support him, you can support him. You can go to mypillow.com and my store.com.
Use the code Eric to help this program.
We could use your help on this program.
So please tell your friends to use the code Eric.
But what they're doing in Mike Lindell, we need to stand with him.
So there's lots of products at MyPillow.com.
There's lots of products at MyStore.com.
You know, when people say to me, Eric, where would you like me to buy your books?
I say, well, you can go to MyStore.com where all of them are available.
in hardcover, and you can get a good price if you use the code. Eric, that's my recommendation.
MyStore.com is Mike Lindell's store. It's my store.com. It's an affiliate of Mypillow.com,
but he really needs our help right now. I also say to people, if you don't have a copy of the Bonhofer
poster, you know, buy it for your high schooler or your college kid. It's a gorgeous poster.
we went to great lengths actually to have it made.
It says silence in the face of evil is itself evil.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.
God will not hold us guiltless.
So those posters are available at my store.com.
And again, use the code, Eric.
But it is really, we're living in crazy times.
And I also want to tell you folks, which I say as often as I can,
if you're going to a church that doesn't get what I say in my book letter to the American
church, if you're supporting that church, I think you need to get out of that church.
You need to find a church that takes this stuff seriously that understands where we are
in America.
I don't want any of this to be true, but unfortunately, it is true, where we are.
And churches ought to be at the forefront of these battles.
So there's a website you can go to and you can tell your pastor,
to go and sign your church up. It's called my churchfinder.org. My churchfinder.org.
If you look there, you can find good churches and you can get your church. If your church is a
good church, you can get your church signed up there so people can leave their dead churches,
their churches that are complicit in the face of evil, and they can start going to churches
that are attuned to what God is saying to his people and wanting to.
to do through his people.
Mychurchfinder.org.
Again, support Mike Lindell at MyStore.com.
MyPillow.com.
Use the code Eric.
And we will be right back with our friend, Pastor Greg Locke.

Folks, I am excited to bring on my friend Pastor Greg Locke to talk about his brand new book.
It is called Cast It Out.
It's not a fishing book.
Greg Locke, welcome.
Thank you, my friend.
Glad to be back.
Listen, some folks know you, some don't.
You're a fire brand.
That's a compliment from me.
You're the pastor of a church in Mount Juliet, Tennessee near Nashville.
And you've been involved in deliverance ministry in casting out demons from people,
which I believe Jesus may have done once or twice.
And you made a film called Come Out in Jesus' Name.
you've been on the program talking about it, just vital that we talk about this kind of stuff.
But you now have written a book called Cast It Out.
And I guess I want to hear a little bit about your story in case people aren't familiar with you or they missed the last time you're on.
But you were once hostile to this kind of stuff.
What was your development on that score?
Yeah, I was very much a cessationist.
I was against anything that had to do with supernatural, miracle, signs, wonders.
deliverance to me was very odd and just very strange and two charismaticiac and Pentecostal.
And so for 30 years, I was very baptistic.
And I don't demonize, you know, my Baptist heritage.
I appreciate the fight that it gave me fundamentally.
But I had to come out of that because I began to read the Bible and the Bible ruined my theology.
So when I took off the lens of cessationism and not believing in any of the gifts,
the Holy Spirit just began to do things in our church that I had preached against for many,
many many years. And once the gifts broke out and fivefold ministry broke out, it was inevitable that
deliverance was going to leave the station, as it were. And once it did, there was just no turning back.
And so I tell people, I mean, humbly and honestly, I'm the least likely candidate in the world
to have anything to do with deliverance, much less help lead a deliverance revival, because it
should have never gone anywhere. This is, as you said, the ministry of Jesus. And now it's become like
Christian contraband, and it shouldn't. So we're bringing it mainstream. But let's, let's, you know,
when I got saved around my 25th birthday, I was all in on all this stuff, you know, tongues. And I just,
I thought, whatever comes with it, it's like pay one price. What do I get? And I was amazed when I bumped
into people who were quote unquote evangelical, born and who didn't believe any of this stuff. And I
thought, how can you not, where are you coming from? What are you talking about? So explain to my
a little bit of what's called cessationist doctrine.
Because I am today in Dallas.
Dallas Theological Seminary was one of the main places that was promulgating
cessationist doctrine.
And your story is similar to the front of my story, Jack Deere.
He was all in against this stuff.
Then he discovers it.
And, you know, he gets kicked out of Dallas Theological Seminary.
But what is the doctrine?
If you talk to cessationists, what is their conceivable argument?
Why do they believe that healing, deliverance, all this kind of stuff is no longer for us today,
but was in existence in the first century church?
What would they say about that?
Well, from a defensive or a debating standpoint, there's no Bible whatsoever.
So they try to use church history.
So the whole argument is Jesus gave apostolic power to the apostles.
Therefore, logically, and they're thinking, when the last apostle died, all the apostolic
power died with them. The only problem is that dog only hunts if you don't read the Bible,
right? Because there's a lot of people that weren't apostles that did apostolic things,
that did miracles, signs, wonders, deliverance, healings, whatever you want to call it, that
were not apostles. And also, there are 28 people in the Bible that are called apostles,
Jesus being one of them. And so the whole idea is, finally once that last apostle was laid to rest,
all that power died with them. And so now you have this whole movement like, you know,
Calvinism and the reform theology. And their basic main tenets came from a guy named Augustine,
who basically on his deathbed, rewrites his whole theological position, has to apologize for
cessationism because he began to see the Holy Spirit heals so many people. And so it's not even
historically accurate. It's certainly not biblically accurate. We know the gifts have not ceased.
And let me just say this. I want people to understand the gravity of that statement,
because I've never met a satanic cessationist. You'll never met a witch. You'll never met a witch.
you'll never meet somebody in new age that doesn't believe in power. No, they're into Satanism.
They're into witchcraft. They're into divination, yoga, you know, whatever it is, because they believe in the power.
And so what we're saying is no preacher would deny that Satan has power. But all the cessationists deny that God still has the same power that he always had.
So basically, here's what evangelicalism is saying. The devil has a lot of power to do a lot of stuff and God used to, but he doesn't anymore.
Well, that is that is bunk theology is what that is because the Holy Spirit is still very much working today in the reality of the New Testament Church.
And, you know, when you see it for yourself, I remember, I mean, I always knew this stuff was real, but I had never seen deliverance or whatever.
And I was with my friend Ken Fish.
I've mentioned him to you.
And he's been doing this stuff for decades.
And when you see it, you go, he's not making this up.
These people are not acting.
This is not flesh.
This is not because we know that, you know, a lot of times Christians will bring emotionalism into it.
So it gets confusing because you're trying to solve for X, what's real and what's the emotion and what's the way.
Yes.
But sometimes, you know, if you have eyes to see, you look and you say, that is clearly real.
This is, this is, this is not made up.
You couldn't make this up.
So it's really shameful that some cessationists are still beating this drum and saying that this is not for today.
and the reason to me, Greg, that it's so shameful is that there are human beings suffering
and they need deliverance.
The only answer is deliverance in the name of Jesus, is forgiveness in the name of Jesus.
And when you deny that to them because of your doctrine, you're condemning them to walk in this pain
and they are, they're crippled in a sense going through life, trying to deal with stuff
that Jesus has given the church the power to deal with it.
But they say, well, no, not for us today.
Just read the Bible.
And you think, well, okay.
But anyway, so you have put this in a book.
Now, the film, if people want to see the film, can they still see the film?
They can.
They can go to any streaming platform.
It's on the Salem Network.
It's on Amazon, iTunes, all of that.
They can see it.
And it's come out in Jesus' name is the film come out in Jesus name.
But the book is cast it out.
And so what is in the book?
Does it give you a little bit of a how-to?
so people can start understanding this stuff?
It does. It really begins with our journey of the young lady that manifested a demon in the
baptistry that really pulled me out of cessationism when I, as you say, saw it come out of the box
and I couldn't put it back in. And a matter of fact, Ken Fish has just reached out to me.
He's going to be in Nashville in a few weeks. And so we're going to get together for coffee
and swap stories. And so that's going to be a great God connection. So I appreciate that very much.
But, you know, the book is not just about our journey. It then moves into deliverance is a theological
concept. And I want people to understand that this is a biblical ministry of Jesus, but it goes
beyond the ministry of Jesus. It does move into the New Testament church, the reality of where we are
today, the pillar and ground of the truth. We still have that power. And so the book takes deliverance
from just being some spooky, you know, Linda Blair, head spinning around, throwing up and stuff like
that. It takes it to a theological understanding. This is what the Bible teaches about deliverance. And then it
goes into the biggest objections to deliverance ministry, a whole chapter on 15 passages that prove,
yes, God's people can be tormented by demonic experience. And then it ends with more of a how-to.
And so it kind of begins with our journey and ends with a, this is how you can be involved in
deliverance ministry. And you don't have to have a PhD to do it because these signs shall
follow them that believe. And the first of the five signs is, in my name, they shall cast out devils.
And so the subtitle of the book is the call to set people free because it's not just my call. It's yours. It's everyone watching this or will watch this. As believers, we have an anointing, a command and a responsibility to help set people free from demonic torment. So I've boiled everything down to this basic decision. Here's where the church operates today. Deliverance or disobedience. There's no middle ground. They either get involved in the ministry of Jesus or they're in the ministry of anti- Jesus.
Well, you know, I'm glad you're blunt because I am, I have become blunt.
I have because lives are at stake.
Lives are at stake.
I have no patience for people who don't care about human being suffering.
If you don't care about human being suffering, you're working for the devil because he's very happy for you not to care.
And I got to tell you, there are people right now in churches that if you are dealing with some demonic issue,
that's the last place you can get help.
They will send you to a psychiatrist, whatever, they'll give you some bills.
Now, don't get me wrong, folks.
Some things need to be dealt with bills and something.
You know, it's just like healing.
You know, you could be miraculously healed or sometimes you can go to a doctor.
So this is not an either or.
But there are people dealing with this stuff going to churches that will never be able to help them that aren't interested.
and they don't even know the vocabulary of how to help them.
And that is horrifying.
And you just said before we go to the break, a lot of people will very cavalierly say,
oh, if you're Christian, you can't have any demons.
It's just so simple.
The Holy Spirit comes to live inside you.
That is a third grade level understanding, soul, and of all this stuff, and it is wrong.
And we need to be clear.
That is not right.
That is not right.
When we come back, we'll talk more.
I'm talking to Pastor Greg Locke, the new book.
is cast it out. The film is come out in Jesus' name. We'll be right back.
She was making for the trades on the outside. And the downhill run to FAPA ETH. Tell me why Relief Factor
is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain. I'm often asked that question just the other night.
I was asked that question, well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were
designed to heal. That's right.
designed to heal, and I agree with them. And the doctors who formulated relief factor for them
selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, and each one of them helps your body
deal with inflammation. Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different
metabolic pathway. That's the point. So approaching from four different angles may be why so
many people find such wonderful relief. If you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or
foot pain from exercise or just getting older, you should order the three-week quick start discounted

who've tried it and have ordered more on one of them. Go to Relieffactor.com or call 800 for Relief to find

800-9783057. Use promo code Eric or Mypillow.com. Welcome back. I'm talking to Pastor Greg Locke.
He is in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Usually.
when he's not traveling around, casting other demons out that don't live in Tennessee.
Because there are demons that don't live in Tennessee.
But we were just going on the break there.
I was just saying how there are people that will really just cavalierly dismiss the idea
that it's possible for a Christian to be dealing with demonic stuff.
And I want to say, and I want to hear you explain it a little bit more too.
That's just wrong, folks.
It doesn't mean that you can be possessed.
Right.
But whatever term you need to use,
there are people that, that believe in Jesus, that have accepted Jesus, that there's a wounding
or something, and that there's a demonic attachment. This stuff is real. And so just to bat it away
doesn't solve the problem. But I'm sure you've heard this many times that you're a Christian,
that's it. It's no such thing. It's binary. The Holy Spirit came to live inside you. You can't have
demonic problems. That's just not true. Oh, absolutely. And that's the easiest way that they dismiss it.
Well, you got the Holy Spirit.
He lives in your temple.
Yeah, but the temple had a courtyard, right?
There's only one holy of holies.
And if you leave the door of your house open long enough, something's coming in.
And what we find is that 95, and that's a big percentage, maybe 98% of the adults we deal with in deliverance ministry,
the open door happened to them when they were a child, some rejection, abandonment, some trauma, molestation.
And they live with that their entire life.
And so it really is sad that people will so quickly, that pastors will so quickly dismiss it,
as well, that's just not theological.
Even the Apostle Paul said that his thorn in the flesh was an angel of Satan to buffet him.
He just said that there was a tormenting spirit that lived in his flesh.
That was the Apostle Paul.
And even the armor of God.
It's crazy.
I wrote a whole book about the armor of God before I got involved in deliverance ministry.
The armor of God is prescriptive.
If you don't put it on, the attacks come.
Because the only thing, theoretically, that the armor of God is for,
it's not to protect you from the world, the flesh, or the curse.
or the corruption of the culture.
The Bible says you put it on
so that you can stand against the attacks of the devil,
of demonic powers.
And in the last days,
demonic doctrines are going to so rise in the church
that 2 Timothy says
that many shall leave the faith
and believers will give heed to seducing spirits.
So I literally could talk about this stuff.
We could talk in circles all day long
because the Bible verifiably proves
and experience will verifiably prove
that people can be under the torment
of a demonic
spirit. And here's the three things that the book covers about deliverance ministry. Because not everything's
a demon. So here's what we do. We cast out demons. We pull down strongholds. We break off generational
curses. Those are three very different things. And what's sad is that doctors believe in deliverance,
more than pastors believe in deliverance. They just don't call it deliverance. Because here's what
happens. When you go to a doctor, the first thing I give you is a sheet of paper with a big checklist.
It says, does hypertension run your family? Anybody have heart attack, strokes, cancer, any
any suicides. What they're doing, although they won't say it, they're looking for a generational
curse. They're looking for something that's been passed down through the bloodline. So why is it your
doctor believes in a generational curse, but your pastor only preaches on generational blessings,
but he denies generational curses. No, just because you get saved doesn't mean the curse went away.
Jesus became a curse. I get that, but you still have to appropriate what he did in order to get
the victory. Jesus died for the sins of the world, but the world's not saved until they
appropriate the reason for redemption. That makes sense? And so the curse is still there until it's
lifted because you accept the payment. And so I think it is utter nonsense and really Christian
bullying that pastors will get up and speak against a guy like me and say, no, that's impossible.
A Christian can never be afflicted by a demon. When they, because of their bad theology,
are keeping their people bound in demonic torment. So my prayer is that demons will just start
manifesting in the choir loft and embarrass those men and make them read the Bible.
Talk about this inciting incident.
When you said that in your church, you didn't believe in this stuff, and a woman started manifesting
the demonic, talk about that.
Yeah, it was actually a nine-year-old girl in the baptistry.
I turned around, you know, we have a big church and a big live stream, and so I flipped
around and this grandmother had jumped in.
the baptistery with this girl.
And I'm like, oh, my goodness, you know, in my Baptist mind, I'm thinking, we got a two-for-one
deal here.
We don't do this.
But I thought, I'm just going to go ahead and do it.
And as I began to baptize the grandmother of the girl just manifested a full-blown cat, her eyes
were different, her hands were different.
She stood up.
She started hissing and going crazy.
I know, hang on, wait a second.
There's a lot of people, we've all seen this stuff in movies.
Yeah.
Where do we get these ideas from?
We got these ideas from reality.
People have seen the supernatural.
since the beginning of time.
It's a reality.
And every culture in the world knows that the supernatural is real.
So you're telling me you're in your church.
You're in your own church.
And you're seeing something you've never seen before.
You know you're not dreaming it.
So continue to describe this because that's just like,
what do you make of it when suddenly it's right in front of you?
Well, I wanted to dismiss it because immediately in my coming out a little bit of
cessationist mindset, I still wasn't quite there yet.
And I'm like, my goodness, this has to be demonic.
But let's just go to the next one, go to the next one, go to the next one.
Maybe they didn't see it.
Maybe there was a glitch in the live stream.
But clearly, people saw it all over the world.
And so when we went to bed that night, that was our watershed moment.
My wife looked at me and said, shame on us.
Shame on us.
We passed for a big church with millions of followers all around the world.
And we don't have enough Holy Spirit anointed to cast a demon out of a nine-year-old kid.
Are you kidding me?
And she seemed like she was 10 foot tall and bulletproof, right?
It scared me into the reality of, okay, there's,
something to this. And through the process of God's sovereign plan for our ministry, that week,
somebody sent us books by Derek Prince. We started getting exposed to Win Whirley, Don Basham,
some of the greats of deliverance ministry back in the day. And I was like, there's something to
this. So then months from that, that was in August. In January, I got up and I said, I'm going to do a
series on deliverance from demons. And our church was there. God had already prepared our church.
And so since the nine-year-old girl, there's been thousands, tens of thousands of
demonic flare-ups under our tent because people still come every day, every week, every service,
every month for deliverance.
We're going to go to break.
We'll be right back.
Plenty more with Greg Locke.
The new book is called Cast It Out.
This is important.
We'll be right back.
When the government used emergency edicts during COVID to restrict the gathering and
worship of churches, three pastors facing the risk of imprisonment, unlimited fines, and
their own churches being ripped apart, took a courageous stand and read.
opened their doors and the face of a world that chose to comply.
The Essential Church is a feature-length documentary that explores the struggle between the church
and government throughout history.
This fascinating story uncovers those who have sacrificed their lives throughout history
for what they truly believe in.
We discover why the Church is essential and how we prove that this stand remains true
from a scientific, legal, and most importantly biblical perspective.
This is not your typical.
movie. It'll change your life. You need to see this movie with your friends and family. The
Essential Church is streaming today exclusively at SalemNow.com. That's Essential Church,
streaming at Salem now.com. Folks, welcome back. I'm talking to Pastor Greg Locke. The film has come out
in Jesus name. We talked about that on the program some time ago. There's a new book out called
Cast It Out, which has all kinds of stuff. They can put all kinds of stuff in a book that you can't put
in a film. That's just the nature of it. You can get a lot more in a book, but it's called
cast it out. So you're talking about this, you know, I say inciting incident. This happened.
Nine-year-old girl starts manifesting the demonic in your church. And so whatever you want to
believe, now you've got a problem because in your own church with your own eyes, you see something
and you just say, well, I'm stuck. I know what I saw. I know what it was. And, you know,
I just want to make the point here because it maybe needs making.
Many years ago, I made the big mistake of seeing the film The Exorcist.
I tell everybody, don't see that film.
That's really, it's, I didn't think as an adult I could get scared.
It was horrifying.
But the bottom lot, the fundamental problem with the film The Exorcists, I mean,
if we're talking about it, theologically, is it presents the devil is so scary.
Yeah.
I thought to myself, I realize that's not right.
The devil is infinitely more scared of Jesus and of anyone who has Jesus living inside him.
Then we're scared of the devil.
But most Christians don't know that they have the authority of Jesus to get out demons.
And so when you're actually in deliverance ministry, the enemy is scared of you.
Yes.
You know the authority you have in Jesus.
And a film like The Exorcist or a lot of Hollywood, they present that, you know, Satan is so scary, but he's only scary if he can convince you, there's nothing you can do about it.
But when you understand that the demons tremble at the name of Jesus, the demons are under the authority when you exercise the authority.
Most people in the church have not been trained to exercise their authority in the name of Jesus and to walk in this stuff.
And once you do, it's a whole different story.
Oh, it's a whole different story.
And the way I teach it very simplistically is, look, demons know you have authority.
They just hope you don't know you have authority.
Because when you start walking in authority, you realize they're under our feet, not the other way around.
And so you're exactly right.
The devil comes off in Hollywood as, you know, scary.
No, no, no, no, no.
We have authority.
We can walk into that room and break off those curses, cast out those evil spirits, and the devil knows it.
That's why the Bible says the devil's believe and tremble.
They still tremble to this day.
People will drive onto our gravel parking lot and they'll start shaking.
They'll come to the church.
I don't even know why I'm nauseous.
I don't know what's wrong with me.
I'm like, I do, right?
Because they still respond the same way they've always responded.
2,000 years removed from the ministry of Jesus and two things are true about deliverance
ministry.
Demons still respond the exact same way today as they did when Jesus cast them out.
And religious people still respond the exact same way today when they see demons come out of people.
It's the exact same thing.
It's no different.
I mean, it's so amazing because I think, you know, I've now been present, you know, during some deliverances.
And when you see it, it's almost, I guess to me, I find it fascinating.
It's almost like being a scientist.
And you're looking at a situation and you're trying to understand how do I deal with this.
And people like Ken Fish, who've been doing this for decades.
Yeah.
Like he can diagnose stuff in a way.
way that, you know, he has, he has an experience that there's a reality here. This is not just
subjective, whatever. There's a reality. There are kinds of demons. They manifest in kinds of ways and
people react in kinds of ways. And the more the church gets mature in this, the more wonderful it is,
because there's something happening now through your ministry and others that ought to have been
happening for a long, long time. And there's still a lot of people that are hostile, a lot of Christians
that are hostile to this.
And that's, to me, to my mind, the biggest problem is religious Christians that are
somehow theologically opposed to this stuff, which is so vital.
Yeah, absolutely.
And one of the great things is God's really bringing a lot of major players with big platforms
to the table to prove the theological truth of deliver.
For example, I got the book right here and, you know, some guy named Eric Metaxus,
you know, he wrote the forward to it.
Let me tell you why that's helped me.
I mean, that's helped me tremendously because you are seen as an apologetics individual, a very theological individual,
and probably one of the greatest evangelical historians of, you know, Whitfield and Bonhoeffer and real church history, not hokey Disneyland stuff, right?
And so people are like, Eric Metaxis did afford for Greg Lach's book on deliverance.
I'm like, yeah, he's all about it because it's a theological concept.
So when a guy like me who's kind of real raw and way out there meets up with a guy like you that's really a Christian statesman, people are like, man, maybe there is something to this.
Well, there is.
And there's something that's to that is we all have a call to set people free because the power is not in our methodology.
The power is in the message.
And the message is there's power in the name of Jesus.
And I don't understand why the church can't see that.
The power of the name of Jesus has not diminished in 2,000 years.
It just hasn't.
I ought to have mentioned when we started that I wrote the forward to this book.
I guess I thought I didn't.
I realize I didn't.
But I mean, listen, we are in a spiritual battle.
And we need to understand what is true.
And this is true, folks.
This is not some point of view.
This is not for the crazy Pentecost.
This is called Christianity.
This is called Christian faith.
and it is the enemy.
It is Satan who wants us not to know this stuff.
Same goes for healing.
Same goes for all this stuff.
And, you know, if you're on the front lines, you talk to people on the mission field,
they don't have any, you know, cessationist views.
They see the witch doctors and they see this and they see what is going on.
This is a reality.
And I think that it is vital that we link arms and that we understand that we're all
we're of one faith.
and what is true is true.
The Lord is truth.
And he wants us to bring him into every sphere.
And this is just so delightful to me that you are promoting this the way you are, Greg,
because there are hurting people out there and they need deliverance.
And they don't know where to go.
They don't know where to turn.
And you're giving them resources.
So the book is called Cast It Out.
Yes, I did write the forward.
And I'm just honored that I got to do.
that. The film is called Come Out in Jesus' name, which is still available, and I recommend it. But
there are tons of people that are interested in this. And I think that there are lots of people
do that. They think of Christianity, this dry thing. Ladies and gentlemen, when you start getting
into this stuff, you start saying, this is an adventure that God has called you. This adventure
between good and evil. It is vital that you see what God has for you. It's an exciting time.
We'll be right back final segment talking to Pastor Greg Locke. The book is
It's Cast It Out. Welcome back. We're talking to Pastor Greg Locke. He is a pastor in Mount
Julia, Tennessee, who now has a deliverance ministry, brand new book called Cast It Out. The film
was called Come Out in Jesus Name. And you were saying that because of the popularity of that
film, you're making a sequel. We are. We're in the process. It won't necessarily be come out in
Jesus' name, too. But Hollywood came to us and said, wow, we love. We love.
of what happened.
I don't think they saw that come.
It's kind of like the Jesus Revolution.
You know, these faith-based family-friendly movies have really come out of the box.
And so we're right now in the process for next fall to launch a sequel to come out in Jesus' name.
And they're like, look, even before that, we want to give you 90 minutes of a fathom event in 2000 theaters
all over America just to get up and do a church service and say anything you want to say.
I mean, you can't buy that kind of publicity.
Hollywood is coming to us saying, we want you to do deliverance.
We want you to administer healing.
We want you to preach to the masses with absolutely no suppression whatsoever.
And so, yeah, we're in the process of doing both of those.
So in the spring, I'll do a live 90-minute church service and lead people in deliverance.
And then in the fall, we'll have come out in Jesus' name part two.
And I'm telling you, God's going to get his glory.
When pastors kick the Holy Spirit out of the church, he goes to the movie theater.
but it's going to happen.
Isn't that amazing?
Yeah, this is, I mean, it reminds me of, you mentioned George Whitfield before, and
George Whitfield was kicked out of every church.
And he's like, okay, I'll preach outside.
And when he preached outside, which incidentally, Jesus preached outside.
He didn't preach from a pulpit.
Yeah.
Thousands came.
And so there is something coming.
People have prophesied, you know, that there's revival, that there's, I believe that.
that in the midst of this war,
God is revealing himself in a way that people have prayed for for decades.
And I really believe that what you're doing is part of that,
that people are getting freed who have longed to be free.
They didn't know they could get free.
And I think a lot of non-believers are attracted to this kind of thing because they say,
wait a minute, this is real.
This is exciting.
Like I thought Christianity was dull and just cerebral and constricting.
And you guys,
It's the greatest adventure you could ever have.
God has scripted this adventure for every one of us to participate with him in this battle between good and evil.
It's just an amazing thing.
And when you start seeing that, I think a lot of people who are not church people, they get attracted.
They go, you know what?
I just didn't know that that stuff was real.
But it is.
Amen.
Amen.
I want to ask.
I mean, I want to ask you again, if people want to see the film come out in Jesus
name to kind of get a primer or a primer on what this stuff is, the film come out in Jesus
name. You said they can get that on virtually any platform.
Yep, any platform. Salem now, and it's on Amazon, iTunes, Google Plus, and YouTube read, all
of that. So they can get it.
Salem now.com. I will promote SalemNow.com. The film has come out in Jesus name.
and you recently had a conference, say just a word about that before we go.
Yeah, we had our second annual deliverance conference, and people can call deliverance crazy.
We had 8,000 people that showed up for a deliverance training conference.
Yeah.
I mean, you understand, you want to talk about the multiplication factor?
That's unbelievable.
That is so wonderful.
I heard about it through our mutual friend Malachi, O'Brien.
He was talking about it.
And I'm just thrilled to death that.
this is this is happening people are getting trained because that's the key too you can't just
have a student you got to train the church we are the church we need to know how to do this we need to
be mature uh in these things pastor gregg lock god bless you the film is come out in jesus name
and the brand new book is cast it out get a copy you need to understand this stuff cast it out
uh great lock my friend thank you thank you my friend
