Yeah, I've got a piece that stream.org called the Left's latest power grab, debanking Christians, is literally apocalyptic. Now, Eric, usually when we say that some evil reminds us of an evil in the Bible, we have to be kind of allegorical or kind of explain the parallels. This time, it's really obvious. Let me read you this passage from the book of Revelation. Then I saw another beast which rose out of the earth. It causes all both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand of the forehead so that no one can buy or sell and we see has the mark that is the name of the beast or the number of its name. Revelation 13 versus 11 and 17.

That might make you think of the COVID vaccine, where they sold people they couldn't have their jobs, they couldn't go to school, they couldn't go to church without being vaccinated. Pope Francis, who was a big conspirator in what I neutrally called the dead baby vax because it was made ultimately from dead babies, from abortion.

Pope Francis removed a bishop in Puerto Rico because he would not segregate the unvaccinated and heard them off to the side. So the vaccine was the first, I think, sort of test run for globalist tyranny. Can we get all the institutions of free society to crack down, lock people in their homes, strip them of their jobs, force them to take an untested DNA treatment that nobody knows if it's safe? can we make them jump through all these hoops? Let's see. And by the way, I want to be clear, I was not able to go into restaurants. You want to talk about being made to feel like a second-class citizen?

You're not allowed to go to a restaurant, not allowed to go to theater, not allowed to go to concerts, not allowed to get. This is what happened all across America. This is for sure one of the darkest days in American history. when we saw these things happen in America, it was evil. Many, many evangelical elites went along with this program. I hope to God that enough of us have learned the lesson, that we will never, ever bow to this kind of tyranny again. We also need to let Trump know to stop bragging about that damn vaccine.

When Joe Biden claimed that the vaccine cures cancer, Trump sends out a true social. Yeah, thanks for that. I'm the one who responsible for that. No, no, President Trump, you should not be proud of the vaccine. That's the strangest thing. I mean, there's a lot of strange stuff about Trump. Nothing comes close to this.

The fact that he doesn't understand that his base is united against the horror of the vaccine. Of course, we will forgive him for his role in this. This was so many of us were fooled. Let's be honest. Good people were fooled. Church pastors were fooled. Tons of people were fooled. But then eventually you realize, uh-oh, we've been fooled.

We need to repent. We need to reverse course. So Trump clearly needs to reverse course on this issue. So at the stream, I talk about how the newest tactic, the vaccine, that's in the past. What they're doing now is they're debanking conservatives and Christians. They are depriving us of access to basic financial services. Just recently there was testimony at the House Select Committee on the weaponization of the federal government. The VP of the Alliance Defending Freedom talked about how ADF has been debanked, how Christian ministries such as indigenous advanced ministries that helps people in Uganda was debanked.

Sam Brownback was debanked. The Ruth Institute was debanked. And then, of course, and I go into depth about how Mike Lindell had the great conservative entrepreneur and Christian philanthropist. The Children's Health Defense Fund reports that the federal government worked with banks and stores such as Cabela and Bass Pro Shop and Dick's sporting goods. It went after everyone who was in or around Washington on January 6th, and these stores just turned over all their information so that the feds could track down who was using their free speech rights on January 6th, and it gets even worse than that. Jake Gardner, who owned a bar in downtown Omaha and was attacked by looters during the George

Floyd riots, there was a repeat felon career criminal who had threatened Jake's father, was trying to choke Jake out. Jake at the last resort shot the guy. He was falsely legal to hate criminal, falsely labeled a white nationalist, evicted from his home, hunted by a special prosecutor. But do you know what drove Jake Gardner, U.S. Marine Corps combat hero, what drove him to kill himself when he was debanked? When GoFundMe said, no, you can't have a defense fund. Hey there, folks. As most of you who listen to this program know, I wrote a book called Letter to the American Church. You probably also know that we, turned it into a documentary film called Letter to the American Church. The website where you can find out everything is a letter to the American church.com. Part of this, I increasingly think of this, this is a movement. This is a movement to wake up the church to save America. There are many, many, many churches across America that are in various stages of sliding away into the abyss of paganism and really, how do we put it? What did the German church do? The German church,

very few stood heroically against the Nazis. Some of them slid right into the national socialist abyss, which was paganism and occultism. They just slid in that direction, no fight. But then there were many in the middle. And the question is, if we had woken up, if God had been able to reach those in the middle. How many of those in the middle, if they had stood at the time, could have averted the nightmare of the Holocaust. And that's where we are in America today. And so I am finding out what some of these battles are across the country. And I was privileged very recently to get an email about the situation that is happening in a Lutheran church in Dodge, City, Kansas. There is a pastor there, Pastor Mark Powell, who have

who has stood heroically in a very difficult spot. This is not an evangelical church. It's a Lutheran church. And we know that the battle, as bad as the battle is in the evangelical church, it is much more of a pitched battle in the mainline denominations, especially the Lutheran denominations. So it's my privilege right now to welcome Pastor Mark Powell. Welcome.

Thank you. I hope Suzanne and the family are doing well. Well, you're very kind to say that. I want to ask you how you are doing. You are the one. First of all, tell my audience, who don't know. I read a little bit about your email to us recently. But tell my audience what is going on.

You're at a Lutheran Church in Dodge City, Kansas. What happened? Well, I was glad to receive an email back in January that your film was coming out. And I thought immediately, you know, we should host this premiere for Southwestern Kansas. I got the permission of the Church Council to do that. We advertised and even Simone Alex, the executive producer of the film, get a radio interview for about a half hour on a local radio station here.

So we were publicizing it. We had a great turnout. I think that sanctuary, which is huge, had never been filled to that size on the 18th of February when we ran the film. Everybody, for the most part, loved it. They were thankful that we showed it, that we made people aware of what the cultural situation was in the United States today. But there is, and I know you talked about it yesterday about this secular, leftist philosophy. There is a religious leftist philosophy, and there are a small group of individuals within the congregation that has taken really a lot of the leadership of the congregation,

and whenever something like this, or we had former state representative Peggy Maast, speak to the bunch of pastors that we had hosting for the Latin Luncheon series. And they are hearing this message that this country is in dire straits. I mean, you're only telling the truth. And yet the religious left does not want to hear that. And that is we have a lesbian activist as the co-chair of the call committee. Wait, wait, wait, wait, hold on. This is what's so fascinating to me, because I was talking to my wife about this the other day.

I said you get different kinds of problems. if you're in an evangelical church, because I've been in both. We were in an Episcopal church that was really an evangelical church, but it was an Episcopal church. When you're in the main line, whether it's an Episcopal church or Lutheran Church, you face a different kind of battle. Because those churches have long ago bowed the need to bail on a number of issues. So you will have, in leadership, openly gay or lesbian figures who are not even, it's, not just that, well, they agree, but they don't want to be vocal or they have a different point of view. They have a dramatically, clearly dramatically different point of view. So in the

Lutheran Church in America, that's the battle that you're fighting. And so God bless you for being willing to fight it. So talk about this now. You showed the film in your church, and I say this to repeat it to all my audience, any church in America, any church that wants to do a free screening of the film. Obviously, most people would watch something like this and go, yep, this. This is right. What do we do? But you're now talking about this very vocal, often aggressive, nasty minority of people who take issue with this. So that's the battle you're facing. And tell us more about specifically what you're going through. In small communities, and Dodge City is a community of about 30,000. In Christ the King, most of the people.

people are related to each other. I didn't know that until about three weeks, either by blood or by marriage. So it's difficult to deal with these types of issues because with the viewpoints that I'm preaching from the gospel, I'm not preaching anything but the gospel. They will not counter their relatives because they're going to have to say, so they're quiet. And this is a great sin is you have that small group that's that wants to uh clamp down on any kind of up and what their agenda and it is a leftist agenda they wanted to put on the vision statement uh the term uh um equality and uh diversity now those are you know those are words that pre pastors answers they look at and say oh with diversity well i'm going to go there because

I'm going to be welcome if I'm gay or if I want to be a gay activist in Dodge City. I could do that. That's where we are in America. It's at Dodge City, Kansas, a small community. We have, you know, the diversity mafia is there working in the churches. So what else happened, Pastor Mark? Keep going. So after the movie was shown.

state representative, former speaker of the House pro tem, Peggy Maske came and delivered her message. I delivered a sermon on March 3rd, speaking to John 3, that gospel reading, and Romans 1. And you know, for Martin Luther, Romans had a big influence. So I started preaching on that, and it talks about, you know, what happens when you have a debased mind, what happens to not only in the individual, in this case, my congregants, some of them, and in a larger sense, the nation as a whole. And because of that, God has abandoned people that just give their mind zones of evil. Now, this is what happened.

They started meeting without me. I am the pastor of the congregation. I am an officer of the Congress. Under the Constitution of the Church, I have to approve the agendas. No, no, no, no. This is just like in Washington. They'll pick out any rule or whatever. They'll disregard the law, the Constitution of the United States.

These people are disobeying the Constitution of the Church. Yes, it's called the Bible. It's called the Bible. Keep going. Keep going. I found out about this by a member of the Congregational Council that came to me on Saturday morning and told me that they met Thursday night, they'd rid of me, and it was going to be on a vote, which was supposed to happen yesterday. Well, on Sunday, after praying, after talking to some

friends, I saw that I have the authority as the pastor to call a congregational meeting. And so I read that statement, and I had, I have to, 10th and March 17th, so that we could meet on the 24th. and we were going to meet on the 24th to get to, and I said to them, you know, your 501C3 is dependent upon you doing the right thing and administering this nonprofit corporation correctly. And you're just, we're having some audio problems here. We're going to go to a break. But folks, this is where we are in the American church. Are you fighting? Are you standing with your pastor?

in Dodge City, Kansas. And just so you understand, so they did a screening. This is a free screening of our film Letter to the American Church. And Pastor Mark believes in the Bible. He preached out of the Bible. He preached a biblical sexual ethic out of Romans 1. Pretty basic stuff. But if you're in a mainline church in America, that's going to be controversial.

and so he found himself, as we just heard the story, being frozen out, even though the leadership of the Lutheran Church don't have the right to do this because he is the pastor of the church. They have done this nonetheless. It's an extraordinary thing. So, Pastor Mark, what's the rest of the story? I mean, it's an amazing thing. Look, this is happening all over America. You're not the only one, but you're the only one that's come on this program to tell the story. So keep going.

Well, let me just tell you, Eric, this next part is because, to blow your mind. Last night was the regular church council meeting. And I went there at 7 o'clock, and I walked up to this one individual and asked him why he was parked there. And he was so evasive. He didn't answer any of the question. I said, you know, I'm the past. You're here. Why? Why are you parked here? Well, I'm just waiting for what? You know, that kind of evasiveness. And I, and I, and I, and I, come to find out he was a Ford County Sheriff's Deputy. Now, this is a type of intimidation that this church council is using so that I wouldn't go into that building. They're scared to death of you.

You're a scary guy because you have no fear. You believe in God. And they're scared of you. So they've got to call the authorities. Folks, if you think you're living in biblical times, this feels like end time stuff. this feels like something that's never happened in America before. And here's why. It has never happened in America before.

And so I say to people, if they're not standing with you, Pastor Mark Powell, or those like you who are standing for the truth, they are working for the enemy. I want to be real clear, folks, there is no neutral ground. If you stand aside and let this happen, you're allowing it to happen. And there are many so-called Christians in America. that are not interested in standing with you or with, with God. They're just thinking, well, I'm just going to stand over here on the sideline. So what did you do? So this is, you know, they're clearly extremely uncomfortable with you because you're daring to preach the truth of God's word.

And frankly, if there were more Lutheran churches doing that, the Lutheran Church would be thriving. So what do you suppose this is going to happen as a result of this madness? Well, it's coming down to tonight. I mean, normally during Lent, we hold a Wednesday night service at 7 o'clock. I'm starting that service at 7 o'clock. See if there are going to be police cars there again. But fortunately, because I have put this all on my Facebook page and all of the e-o-tape that I've been trying to document all of this, I got a call today from.

state senator Ron Reitman who said that he called the police chief of Dodd City to find out what was going on. And I had a former senator Peggy Mask from Emporia. She just called me why we were starting our interview. I think they wanted to arrest me yesterday, so I would be able to talk to you today. That's what I really believe. I mean, this is almost hilarious. What are you doing? You're speaking. You're representing the historic faith. You're not saying, anything dramatic, unless people are opposed to historic, the historic faith. And so it is just an amazing thing. So look, the reason I wanted to have you on is just to congratulate you as one of the few willing to stand.

God obviously stands with you in this. But I want my audience to be aware of what is happening in America. Folks, Pastor Mark Powell is from Dodge City. Kansas. This is not Canada. This is not Finland or Sweden. This is Kansas in the USA. And this is what is happening in a Lutheran church. As you know, Pastor Mark, I wrote a biography about Martin Luther. I have never been more impressed with the legacy of the Lutheran church. When I wrote the story of Martin Luther, I just thought, wow, what? What? What? what a beautiful legacy. And here we have Lutheran churches all across America fighting this battle. I'm aware of one in New York City. They've been fighting the same kind of battle where leftists come in. And when I say leftists, I mean secular leftists folks, people that are making it up as they go along, throwing out the parts of the Bible that they don't like. And they are being very pushy and very

aggressive, trying to get the building, trying to get control. This is happening all over the country. and Pastor Mark Powell, we've just got seconds left. The one we just talked about, just gets to me. It's just unbelievable how the secular left is just vicious and aggressive. I mentioned Kamala Harris. These people are so aggressive and so vicious in trying to crush those with whom they disagree. It's unbelievable. But what are some of the other cases that we might discuss? So we probably don't have time to cover them all. We get over 6,000 requests for help every

every year. So, but two cases we have, the Supreme Court's hearing this month and next month, we represent doctors who are challenging the FDA's approval and just reckless behavior regarding chemical abortion drugs. So that will be heard by the Supreme Court later this month. We're assisting the Idaho Attorney General's Office, protecting their pro-life laws. They're in Idaho. The federal government is actually coming after them, has sued the state of Idaho, saying you can't have your pro-life laws. You have to perform abortions. Hang on.

Now that's confusing because Rovi Wade was overturned. Thanks to Donald Trump in case anybody's scoring at home. Rovi Wade was overturned. So help me understand how can the federal government be going after Idaho? Does not Idaho have a right to figure this out as a state? It absolutely does. But the federal government doesn't care what the law says. They're inventing a new law, a new interpretation of a 30-year-old law, the Emergency Room Act that would prohibits emergency rooms from turning away indigent clients that can't pay, right?

Every state abides by that. The Biden administration is saying, no, we actually interpret that law now to say, you have to provide elective abortions in your emergency rooms. And that is a complete violation of the law. And it flies in the face of what the Supreme Court said in Dobbs, just. like you said. So that case will be heard. We're assisting the Attorney General's office there. I'll be heard next month at the Supreme Court. Okay. So if you thought Rovi Wade was overturned and that's that, I guess we were wrong because the secular pro-abortion left doesn't care. And whatever they, I mean, I think the key for us to understand is whatever they can get away with, they will do.

Anything they can get away with, they will get away with. And so it's up to us to stop them and to say, know that's wrong, that's unconstitutional, and we are going to take you to court to fight, and usually we'll win. But if we don't take them to court and fight, we lose. And you just said it, Caleb, ADF gets thousands of requests. Most of them, it cannot take up. Because folks, ADF does not have unlimited resources. They don't have unlimited lawyers to fight. So if you care about this nation, if you care about liberty, folks, please give to ADF. They had legal recourse in 33 and 34. That went away day by day by day. it went away, and I want to be real clear, that's what's happening in America. So you've got to be all in now.

So, Jeremy Tedesco, we were talking about debanking and how the federal government is attacking people in terms of their ability to do, to make financial transactions. It's a scary and amazing moment that we've come to an American history. And to me, the only good news is that it's waking some people up. Yeah, I think that's right. I mean, we've seen debanking, especially on the basis of viewpoint, has been on the rise the last few years. This hearing last week was really kind of the crescendo of everything we've been seeing. One of our clients' indigenous advanced ministries is a small, ministry in Tennessee that does relief work over in Uganda, builds wells, feeds kids, helps

widows and orphans. They got debanked by Bank of America last year in April, had been a long-time customer there and just were told, look, your risk tolerance exceeds our risk-tolerance policies at this point. No good reason at all. We see this again and in again and again. And so it's on the rise. National Committee for Religious Freedom was debanked by Chase, the Arkansas Family Council that does pro-life and pro-religious liberty work in Arkansas got debanked by Chase for being so-called high-risk. And so we know these things are happening. We know the federal government has incredible control through the regulators that operate on a day-to-day basis in banks, supervising them to push disfavored industries and people outside of the financial marketplace.

This is a real problem. And we definitely need to solve for it, whether through litigation or legislation or just like, you know, Chairman Jordan is doing shining sunlight on this as a disinfectant. I think the more and more we pressure banks to knock off these practices and even put regulatory, you know, pressure on them to knock it off, the better off everybody's going to be. Nobody should be afraid they're going to lose their bank account because of their political or religious beliefs. There are enough Americans who claim to love God, who claim to be Christians, that if we all to do the tiniest bit, this stuff would end. But most Americans who claim to be Christians,

who claim to love liberty, aren't doing anything. They think somebody else has this covered. And I'm here to tell you, folks, that's not right. We need to each do something.
