It is just a joy to know Pastor Mike Thompson and to have him on the program. Mike, welcome back. Well, hello, Eric. I am so glad to be back. what a great time to be serving the Lord. I want to share with my audience. I've shared it before, but your videos, your live streams have been a source of deep encouragement to me and to Suzanne over the last few years.

There's a purity that comes from you, and I don't really mean a moral purity. I assume that. But what I mean a purity of the message, that I feel like I'm hearing from the throne room of God, that you're, you're channeling what God is saying. You're not adding. And that's unfortunately rather rare. And so I just have valued watching your videos over the years and of course recently as well. People can find you at Mike Thompson Ministries.com. I'll repeat that during the program. But I'm a little bit aware of what your answer will be to the question, but my audience won't. So,

What is God saying to you or what is your sense of where we are as a nation right now? We are at a place that I personally, Eric, have been interceding and praying for for 20 years. I find a lot of hope. I think that there's been such a shift in the spirit over America recently. 2024 at the very beginning of the year, the Lord spoke to me. and he said this is going to be a year of renewal. It'll be a year of change, a year of shifting. We know that everything that happens in the natural realm actually is a byproduct of what has already precedingly happened in the spiritual realm. And that's why we as believers have to be

so diligent in our prayer life to make sure that, you know, like the Apostle Paul said, that we wrestle not against the flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, you know. all of those rulers of the darkness and also spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. So we win the battle in the spirit, and then it manifests and walks out in the natural realm. And that's what I see 2024 being, is the shift. I believe that we're in a new spiritual era for the church. I believe that God is doing so many things in our nation, and I have great hope for that, Eric. I really believe, I know that the war for.

just doesn't end. It's not like, okay, you win the battle and then the devil packs up and goes home. So, no, there's going to be a lot of things that we're going to encounter in the future. There's a lot of spiritual opposition, a lot of natural opposition, but I have great hope, and I see good things. In fact, I really would like to say, I believe that the Lord has showed me that through this year, all of this shifting and transitioning, that we're going to we are entering a new phase of radical prosperity and radical evangelism. And I see that radical prosperity in the sense for the nation. I believe that the nation is going through a time, I don't even know what to call it.

I'm not, you know, a historian in the sense that can go back and label these different times that the United States has gone through in history. But I do know one thing. I do know that it is different than what I have experienced in my adult life. I think that bears saying because I think maybe younger people don't have the perspective. But, you know, the older you get, the more perspective you have. And you can say, clearly, nothing like this has ever happened. This is extraordinary what is happening right now.

The advent of Trump is absolutely extraordinary. We'd never seen a disruptive political figure like that. I mean, we've had Ross Perrault and other people, but they never could get traction. Trump somehow, by the grace of the Lord, got traction and broke through. And obviously awakened all the demons and the people in the deep state. They said, oh, we cannot have this. And so we have been in a war. And but it's woken up enough, it has woken up enough in the holy remnant to pray.

And so by the, by the, the Lord's grace, we somehow won this election and somehow are being given a second chance. And I'm with you. I mean, I can hardly believe it because I haven't seen anything like this. But I think genuinely great things are in our future. And you and I have lived through decades where it's been managed decline. We haven't, you know, we put a man on the moon, 50. five years ago. We put a man on the moon, 55 years ago. We haven't done stuff like that. And it seems to me that

we're in a position now to dream again and to see things that we haven't seen, to dare to think that maybe the best is yet to come or great things are yet to come. Yeah, I agree with that entirely. And you know when I said radical prosperity, I mean, using it from a biblical perspective more so in the sense that the word prosperity in the Hebrew and the Greek, Old and New Testament, is talking about coming to the course to the proper conclusion of your journey. Now, that covers every area. And so that's, you know, as far as individually, that's our mind, our bodies, our finances, our relationships. It's everything coming into alignment with God's purposes for our lives, what the scripture declares, and it really brings about

fulfillment. Now, that I think is going to happen in the United States as a nation also. We are, like you said, we're on a new curve where we are beginning to grow and beginning to hope. people now have this, I think, in this indwelling presence that I believe is breeded by the Holy Spirit, even on people who are not necessarily born again, you know, that people are, my phone went off, I apologize. Right. Where people are catching that influence, and that leads us into, that other perspective where I believe that there's going to be radical evangelism.

People's hearts are being turned to the Lord. Like you said, decades where it has been declining and people have been pulling away from the Lord and from church. And I do want to make a distinction only in this, Eric, where there's a lot of people who become disillusioned with the church, but they never left the Lord. And so they've been waiting for this time. during these times throughout history, because when we get into biblical history, then I know a little bit more about that, is that there always is a time to where people are looking to the Lord rather than just the local church. They are part of the church, the great church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the body of Christ.

And then it begins to build, and then evangelism breaks out. and I see that time right now. I personally believe that there are going to be more people who come to the Lord, this great spiritual awakening that's happening in our nation right now, than we've seen in a long time. I believe that numerically that more people are going to be saved, that those who are saved but have become disillusioned and have drifted away from any kind of service to the Lord

are now shifting back and, you know, bringing their hearts with them in a place to where they're embracing God again. It's just a glorious time. And when I said that earlier, I really met it, Eric, when I said, I've been praying for this day for 20 years. It was 2004 when the Lord first spoke to me. Now, I've been doing this for over 40 years. years now. And the Lord spoke to me, and he said, there is a ruling political spirit of Jezebel that is taking over the nation. And I'm calling you to rise up and to preach and to teach and to tell people about this and then to begin to pray for that spirit's, you know, breaking, the stronghold. I think it happened. It was not just the election that we had with

Trump being reelected, although that was a center point, one piece of the puzzle. But I believe it broke crossboard. I think it's so interesting what you're saying on a number of levels. First of all, Mike, I know there many people who listen to this program whose faith is challenged. In other words, when they hear someone like you say some of this stuff, they go, you know, my pastor doesn't talk like that. And I actually think that's part of the fulfillment of what you're talking about and what I'm seeing as well, is that God is doing something. He's calling people closer to himself. see happening uh and and this is a prophetic sense it's not like i got a word from the lord but i have sensed this over the last few years that god is doing something new in the church uh he is a killing dead religion uh or or you can't kill you can't kill it, you get rid of it, you know, you throw the dead wood into the fire. And new kinds of faith are emerging that are more, that are closer to him. In other words, that there's been a lot of church, a lot of churchianity, a lot of people saying, we've got a big church and we've got a, you know, we've got a great coffee bar and a great kids ministry, and we've got this stuff going on. But they lost the presence of God, the holy, the holy,

that somehow it becomes this corporate thing. And then when things get really tough, your average person says, you know what, that's not speaking to me. I need something that's speaking to me in my pain and my brokenness. Is anybody daring to talk about what's going on in the culture?

I need that. I just sense that that's a big part of what God is doing when I was speaking to Dutch sheets the other day. He was affirming my thinking along these lines. And you, in everything you say, in your videos, you affirm that thinking, that we're living through something really beautiful. It's not evangelism in the, in the, in the classic sense, it's more than that. God is calling us to, to reformation, to a church that is the real church, that that is alive in

every way. And there's, so there's something very exciting in that is, I guess is what I mean to say. Oh, you said it very well. That also is what I'm talking about. It's how that the Holy Spirit has the ability to breathe life into the church, but into the culture. And how that it is one-on-one. It's not, let's put up a sign called revival over our church door and get as many people to come as we can and have a good time, you know, and refreshing, revive ourselves in the Lord. That's wonderful. But this is in the street. always been in the street, you know, where Jesus, the woman of Samaria, the woman at the well,

you know, the disciples come back from going and getting lunch, and he's ministered to the woman, and they say, Jesus, here's your lunch, and he said, I'm not hungry, and they say, why? And he says, I have meat that you know not of. In other words, I've been here meeting. The meat is in the street. It's in the ministering, and that's what's happening now, is it's just spreading through people's lives and they're opening up. They find this hope and joy not only just in what the United States can become at this particular point and getting back to our roots, but it's also what their lives. They have this thing on the inside that, okay, you know what, I really can believe again. I really can hope. I really can reach out. And they began to share

with other people. It becomes contagious. You know, we went through a pandemic. where that ugly thing was contagious. Well, the life of God is contagious in a spiritual manner. And that's what I see happening in America right now. And so it's from person to person, and it's in living rooms. It's in parks. It's on job sites. It's everywhere that the people of God feel refreshed, they're sharing.

and you see that happening, people that you would wonder, even celebrities, not only celebrities in the entertainment industry, such as in Hollywood, et cetera, but those right now with this whole thing with social media and the influencers, how many of them now are talking about Jesus Christ? How many of them have returned back to the church, to God? Wow, it's just fantastic the way that it's happening. that's the true evangelism and the way that's always happened before. And I see that. It's a huge cultural shift. And I think that gets to what you were saying a few moments ago that it's the idea is that we have, you know, and it's our sin nature to take the faith and to put it in a religious box, to put it in a theological box. And God says no. I want to live outside the box. I want you to take your faith everywhere. I want it to affect your government.

I want it to affect the media. I want it to affect the medical establishment. I want it to affect everything. I want it to bless everything. And there are many hidebound religious Christians who don't get that. It makes them uncomfortable. But God is doing that. And that's, of course, his purpose.

He doesn't want Christians just to say, well, we just do church. But if there's something like slavery, I'm not going to take a stand. We don't take a stand on anything political. If there are children being mutilated, I'm not going to take a stand on that. There's so many things that many in the church have been just afraid to say, my faith reaches into that. And I want God to touch that and to change that and to bless that and to redeem the brokenness. And that's a big part of what I see happening.

And I don't know how that's going to play out in the months and years ahead. But it seems clear to me that that's what God is saying, that he wants his church to be alive, He wants us to put our faith in action. And somehow, as a result of all the things that we've been seeing, that is what is going to happen. And believers are getting that and we're going to get involved and we're going to be bold. And out of that will flow evangelism. So it's in every direction. We're going to go to a break.

Talking to my friend, Pastor Mike Thompson, who for some years now, Mike, you live in the Las Vegas area. You said that God spoke to you and C.K.

about that you could go anywhere you wanted, but that for some reason he wanted you there. I've never visited your church. I've threatened to a few times, but I don't get to Las Vegas very often. But you don't shrink from saying that you're a prophet because God has told you that. And I think that there are many people

may be listening right now. They don't get that or it just sounds foreign to them. but you're so a matter of fact and humble about it that that's what, you know, originally attracted Suzanne and me to you. You can listen to somebody who isn't putting on a show, but they're just doing what God made them to do. And so when you say, you know, God spoke to me or God said this or an angel said that, I don't think like, really, I know that he did.

And there's something very comforting about that. And so I should ask you, have you had any? of those kinds of encounters recently? I can't remember if there's anything recent that you've said along those lines. Ah, well, two things that happened in the past, 2006, that's when the Lord spoke to my wife and I, C.K., and he said, I want you to stop using the word pastor as much. I mean, I still, people call me, pastor, but I want you to embrace profit. And that was a very, very hard to do at that particular point, because that wasn't normal. That was, you know, people thought that those that called themselves past were prophets were those who were just, you know, trying to

promote themselves and, you know, all those kind of things. So we embraced it at that particular point, 2006, but it was in 2016 when I had the first encounter where during a prayer time, I had an angelic appearance, an angel appeared to me, and he showed me the face of Donald Trump. That was April of 2016. And he said these words. He said, the dogs of hell have been released against the one with the hand of the Lord on him, meaning Donald Trump, pray against false witness, hatred, and murder. and speak truth and justice into the atmosphere,

and we, referring to the angels, will break the enemy's spiritual teeth, diminish the authority, will protect the man. That's when I first knew that it was Donald Trump that was going to eventually win that election and won this next one.

We've been supporting him all along because of the word of the Lord, because it was the Lord's hand upon him. My reason in terms, that story is because I wrestled with the Lord at that time. Why do I do with this encounter? And I was kind of up all night trying to figure out what to do about this and talking with my wife. And the Lord spoke to me and he said, if you do not tell this encounter publicly, you'll never step up into the fullness of the ministry that I have for you. And so, wow.

to go on video the next Sunday and tell it to the whole world. They're going to think I'm crazy, but I did it. And each one of those steps brought me to the place to where I'm comfortable at this point. And I want the people to know right now that we have been for the last four years warring in the spirit. But we have been warring to keep the enemy, so to speak, from, robbing us of what is rightfully ours, not only as a nation. I'm talking about a people of God. The enemy has been persecuting and attempting to destroy the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and America just as much as it has been attempting to destroy America itself and to change the government. And so we have been warring from a standpoint of keeping the enemy from that.

And this year in 2024, and particularly with this election, the Lord says, spoke to me, and he said, the warfare's changed. You are still going to war, but you are warring now to victory. You're not trying to keep the enemy from stealing from you. Now you are warring and bringing back what he has stole. There's going to be restoration. You are going to reap the spoils. The body of Christ is going to grow, and America is going to prosper. And there's going to be a radical change in the area, the governmental area, in the economic area, and in the spiritual area of the nation. And so those are the things that I'm particularly excited about, because like I said, I've been praying 20 years to this point. When it happened, Eric, you know, the election,

I was like everybody else. Yes, praise God, you know. Wonderful. There is a God. Jesus. is Lord, you know, it's all wonderful. And then about three days later, I stopped and I went, this is it. I have been intensely in this for 20 years and I almost couldn't believe that it actually happened. But yet I knew God. Yeah. Well, look, that's the natural thing. I mean, it's like you know, God says what he says. And you know, you know, if you're hearing from God or not. but it is still astonishing when it happens because it's astonishing. There's just no way around it. I think sometimes, you know, we've been braced in this kind of defensive crouch for so long

that when you can finally stand up straight and breathe and you think, I forgot what this was like. I didn't really know if I'd ever live to see that moment when I could, you know, breathe again. I've been holding my breath for four years. So it's fascinating. And I know, again, there are folks listening to this program that they don't go to church where the pastor talks like you're talking. And I, Suzanne and I have, by God's grace, from when we first became Christians,

we've been familiar with things like you're talking about. And I want to say before we go to the break that, folks, this is for everybody. This is not extra credit Christianity. This is basic Christianity. God speaks. Doesn't mean we all hear from him in the same way. I certainly don't hear from him in the way that Mike Thompson does. But God loves us and he wants to communicate to each of us and he wants us to mature in the faith and not just get stuck in some kind of, you know, I've got these theological ideas. And he wants us to have a living relationship with him. That's the whole idea. that undergirds ought to undergird everything about our lives. What? You'll never get Eric Mataxis. He's too busy. That's not going to happen. I hate to tell you, it's just not going to happen. It's like I already wrote it. No, there's so much stuff. This is real meat, I want to say, for people.

This is not milk. This is real meat. And I think that people are hungry for more of God. And maybe they've been burned or they've been into some kind of, you know, wacky, charismatic stuff. that was just fleshly and show. And I think God really calls us to this deeper stuff, but you need to have, you know, the right teachers and the right, it needs to be people

that you can trust that they're not taking you into some, you know, some crazy place. And so, Mike, that's why you've meant so much to Suzanne and me, because you're just very sober-minded and very humble, but God has really outrageously gifted you. and he's given you things. Now, he gives it to you for all of us, but if people haven't heard about you, they wouldn't know.

So I'm grateful I have this platform to introduce people to you, because I do think people are hungry for more that a lot of people are going to churches and I think there's got to be more than this. Absolutely. And you know what? I think that as a nation,

that we should be humble at the hand of God and what he is doing. doing for our nation right now, but at the same time have a sense of spiritual pride, not selfish pride. But what I mean by spiritual pride is a fact that we would not be in this place if it hadn't been for what I call the Lions Army, those Christians like you, me, others, who have actually taken the stand. God has called us to take a stand for the cause of Jesus Christ in our nation and to not just become a subservient church that is all about, you know, just to feel-good religion.

And so it's actually happening right now to where we have come to this place because of the sincere hearts of believers who have chosen to put aside their reputation and to say, I'm going to follow God. that's something I cannot right now there's something on the inside of me i have to just be honest with you eric and with the listeners is is there something on the inside of me that just makes me at this particular point want to just like pry just well up with pride and just see what it is that god is doing at this particular point and that's the presence of the holy spirit that's on the inside of me right now it there's a sense of a of a prophetic urgency for me to just say right now to the people, that Jesus Christ is Lord and that he really cares about you. He loves you. And he wants to be involved in every aspect of your life. And he really is tugging at everybody's

hearts and pulling us into a direction. Can we even fathom what it is that God has in store for us as a people and as a nation? I honestly don't know. I see things. God has shown me things that are going to come out in about the next, within the next decade, within the next 10 years. So I know that we're going to be around that long. I personally know the scriptures. I don't believe that there's going to be the rapture. I acknowledge that, you know, the Lord can come back anytime he wants. But I want people to understand.

Give your heart to Jesus. He'll never fail you. Praise God. We're out of time. What a beautiful place to stop. Mike Thompson. My brother, thank you. Thank you, Eric.
