Welcome to the Eric Metaxus show.
I shouldn't tell you this, but Eric hired someone who sounds just like him to host today's show.
But since I'm the announcer, they told me, so I'm telling you, don't be foe.
The real Eric's in jail.
Welcome to Hour 2. I think it's Miracle Monday. We're talking about miracles. And my guest is Rabbi Kurt Schneider, whom you can find at Discovering the Jewish Jesus.com. It's a program. But the new book is called Messianic Prophecy Revealed. So I want to ask you, Rabbi Schneider, what are some of your favorite?
messianic prophecies because so often you hear people talk about, you know, in the Old Testament,
there are these prophecies telling us who the Messiah is or whatever. Some of them are hard to
comprehend unless you understand it. But what are some of the ones that you like to talk about?
Thank you, sir. Eric, if I could start out just making this comment, I think this is an important
comment for people to hear. It connects to what you just said. A lot of times you hear teaching,
There's 300 odd messianic prophecies in the Hebrew Bible, and Jesus fulfilled all of them,
and the scientific odds of that happening are so astronomical.
It would be impossible that anyone could ever do it.
He did it.
That's how we know he's the son of God.
And that comment is really a bit, forgive me for you, it's shallow, and I'll tell you why.
The way the New Testament writers used the term he fulfilled it, the fulfillment of Hebrew scriptures,
it wasn't always predictive prophecy like Nostrademus, like Nostrademus said,
okay, there's going to be a flood in this year.
And then the flood happens, oh, wow, it happened.
Yeah.
So a lot of the way that the New Testament writers use prophecy, it's not like that.
For example, they say that when Yeshua was born,
we know that Joseph was worn by an angel, Jesus' father,
to take Yeshua into Egypt because they were killing all the newborn Hebrew children.
So Joseph and Miriam take Yeshua into Egypt.
He was there for a little bit.
And then the angel comes again and says, take the child back into Israel now.
And so Matthew says, so Joseph then took Jesus out of Egypt back to Israel,
that the scripture might be fulfilled.
Out of Egypt, did I call my son?
So Matthew quotes, out of Egypt did I call my son, as being fulfilled by Jesus.
There's only one place in the Hebrew Bible that that scripture.
that that scripture is out of Egypt that I call my son in the book of Hosea.
You go to the book of Hosea and you read it there out of Egypt that I call my son.
It wasn't like you were looking for God to do something that someone was going to fulfill.
It wasn't a prophecy the way that we would think of a prophecy at all.
What was going on there is that Jose was just recounting Israel's history.
Out of Egypt that I call my son.
And now Matthew says that Jesus fulfilled it.
And you're thinking, well, what does that mean?
Because this really wasn't a prophecy that you were thinking was.
going to be fulfilled. So a lot of the way the New Testament writers use the Hebrew Bible saying
that Jesus fulfilled it is that he filled Israel's history up with meaning. The same story that Israel
had, the same things that Israel went through, Yeshua went through. Okay. And so let's be clear
that in Josea where it says, in the Old Testament in Jose where it says, out of Egypt, I have
called my son. Just to repeat what you're getting at, a lot of people say, aha,
See, Jesus went to Egypt, and then he's called back, and it says, out of Egypt, I've called my son,
and there it is.
And what it's doing is, it's not that that's necessarily inaccurate.
It's just incomplete, because the much deeper meaning is that Jesus is giving us a picture of the exodus,
of the grand narrative of God calling his.
people out of Egypt of creating a people, whatever, and so that can be missed, and it's so deep,
it's so heavy that this child is this living fulfillment of this larger narrative. I mean,
that's, as we would say, heavy. Yeah. That's really heavy. Okay, so that's interesting.
Yeah, yeah. So it's good that people, when they're looking at the New Testament, and you find that
phrase, thus the scripture was fulfilled, to understand that sometimes the fulfillment of messianic
prophecy is more art than science and more poetry than math. You have to understand the mindset
and the rabbinic mindset of the way Matthew and some of the other New Testament writers use the Old
Testament in conjunction with saying that Jesus fulfilled it. But to your question, which I think you
were driving at Eric, what are some of my favorite messianic prophecies that are clear, very clear,
objective realities that we can say, wow, this isn't just Jesus repeating Israel's history
or filling it up with spiritual meaning.
This is a prediction that Jesus fulfilled.
Right.
So some of the very basic ones have to do with his genealogy,
the tribe that he had born through,
that he would come through David's line,
the place that it would be born, Bethlehem,
that the Messiah would not just be a man
as rabbinic Judaism today believes.
Rabbinic Judaism today believes
that there's a potential Messiah in every generation.
and the fulfillment of Messiah's mission is to bring Jewish people back to Torah
observance, which will in turn release blessing on the world.
So we're seeing in the Hebrew Bible that one's going to be born in Bethlehem
whose days are from eternity that hidden deep in the pages of the Hebrew Bible
is the revelation that Messiah is going to be God coming into the earth,
and he's going to be clothed in flesh.
and that's much more difficult to grasp it's much more uh you know how do i put it significant is
not even the right word it's just it's such a big difficult idea that you can see how people
would push away into something simpler yeah yeah and it's interesting in this discussion
because it's almost blasphemous if you take it the wrong way you know the idea that god would
become a person.
No, no, no, no, no.
You know, God is so holy, we don't mention his name.
Yeah.
And so to try to understand that, you can see how it's counterintuitive for many Jews.
You can definitely see how Jews would stumble at that.
No question about it.
It's interesting that Yeshua had to take his disciples on a journey through the law of Moses,
the prophets and the Psalms, to unveil these truths.
In other words, it's kind of like we were saying, Eric, some of these messianic prophecies
are not just like staring you in the face that you could see clearly all the sun like they're jumping off the page that Jesus fulfill them.
Sometimes you have to have someone to teach you.
And I think that's what we're doing here in Messianic prophecy revealed,
helping people to see through all the details, to see the deep nuggets of reality in the Hebrew Bible that we're pointing to Yeshua.
That's one of the things that I lament about a lot of the church today is not understanding that we have to go,
deeper and deeper and deeper to really understand this, and that, you know, you can't get this
in a 30-minute sermon once a week. That's a joke, basically. We're supposed to be spending
our lives digging into this reality. And obviously, that's part of what you're trying to help us
do in the new book, brand-new book, Messianic Prophecy revealed, Seeing Messiah in the pages of the
Hebrew Bible. So what else is in here that we should talk about? Well, one of the greatest
acts that's ever happened in the earth is what is known in Hebrew is the Ha Keda. And it's
translated as the binding of Isaac. It's when Abraham offered up his son Isaac. And we're all
familiar with the story. And if you look at pictures of Abraham offering up his son, generally
you'll see that in the pictures, Isaac looks like a very little boy, maybe seven, eight, nine years
old. But according to Jewish tradition, Isaac was 37 years old when Abraham offered him up.
So the beauty of that story is not just the beauty of Abraham's complete devotion to God willing to sacrifice and give his only son.
But another beautiful narrative in that story is Isaac, who was a grown man, willingly offering up his life to the father.
There is so much here. I have to tell you, we had a guest on this program a couple of times, Jeannie Konstantino, who wrote a book called The Crucifixion of the King of Glory.
that for the first time I had ever seen what you're talking about, and she gets into this.
And the only reason that we can see this now is because the way history has proceeded,
Christian versions of this and Jewish versions are for the first time meeting.
And we're able, as non-Jewish believers in Jesus,
to see what the Jewish traditions were that were really cut off.
when, you know, you call it the gentilization or whatever of the criticism.
So it's so fascinating for you to bring this up.
When we come back, I want to talk more.

Folks, welcome back.
I'm talking to Rabbi Kurt Schneider.
You can find him at the website, Discovering the Jewish Jesus.com.
You just said something.
You could tell I just light up.
I'm so fascinated by this.
The idea that there are Jewish traditions that have been lost.
You just talked about the binding of Isaac and all this stuff.
Really, for centuries and centuries, this has been lost.
And it seems to me an indicator that we're in the end times or at some point in the end times.
Because to have this come back to us that these Jewish sources would be,
tell us something about what the Bible says that most Christians have been completely ignorant of for 19 centuries.
Yeah.
I mean, that's a big deal.
And obviously, you write about that in this book.
I mean, the idea of Jesus, I mean, I'm sorry, of Isaac being not a little kid.
Yeah, it's amazing.
There's a lot of depth.
There's a lot of depth in Jewish tradition.
The danger that I have found sometimes going a little bit of a different direction with it is sometimes Christians,
discover this, they get so enamored by the beauty of Judaism, I've seen them leave the faith and
deny Jesus and go completely headlong into rabbinic Judaism. But there's a lot, a lot there. I also love
how Yeshua identifies himself as the offspring of David. I mean, the end of the book of Revelation,
she says, I am the offspring of David, the bright and morning star. And this whole connection,
Jesus identifies himself more closely with David than any other faith.
figure in the Hebrew Bible. And so you ask yourself, what is it about David that Jesus so identifies with?
He brings David up oftentimes, even in some of his conversations with the Pharisees. Who was David
talking to when he said, the Lord said to my Lord, sit here at your right hand, at my right hand,
until I make your enemies a footstone underneath your feet. But with David, and I think about
Jesus's identification with David. What's the connection there? And I think about David was,
he was someone that everybody overlooked.
You remember Saul went to
anoint one of Jesse's sons?
And, you know, he started with the biggest
and he went all the way down. He didn't get the witness
of the Holy Spirit that any
of these guys were the ones that God was
going to anoint the next king. And he says to
Jesse, you know, are there any
others? Oh, you know, that
little one in the field.
So he's overlooked, just like
Jesus was overlooked. The carpenter's son.
And then
David comes out of obscurity.
Isn't it interesting that David's city, Bethlehem, is where Jesus was born?
I, you know, again, there are so many connections that when you begin to dig into this, it blows your mind and makes you think, boy, I've missed, I've missed it.
This is heavy stuff.
This is amazing, amazing stuff.
And I was mentioning Jeannie Konstantino.
It's only because she studied, you know, first century Jewish law.
and some of that Jewish history.
And I thought most Christians over the centuries have just lost this.
So I just see it as a really beautiful thing that some of this stuff is coming together.
And you're one of the people that God has chosen to kind of bring us back to these Jewish roots, which are our roots.
I mean, to be divorced from that is to miss everything.
And because obviously this is how Jesus saw these things.
You know, Eric, I think this will really resonate with you.
there are so many believers Christians.
They call themselves Christians.
They go to church.
But if you would ask them, is Jesus the only way to God?
Can people that believe, you know, in Buddha and are practicing, can they go to heaven?
Can Muslims go to heaven?
Any other spiritual path?
And they're deep inside, they're like, well, I'm not going to, you know, I'm not going to judge them.
You know, deep down what they believe is that as long as someone's
sincere and tries to be a good person, they're going to go to heaven. I'm talking about Christians now.
And there's no understanding of the importance of what I call sacrificial,
propitionary sacrificial atonement, substitutionary sacrificial atonement. They don't understand
the blood of Jesus, that it's only through the blood, the innocent being, shedding his blood
on behalf of the guilty that a sinful human being can enter into a relationship where he becomes
acceptable to God. And that's why I love Isaiah 53.
And remind those of us who haven't memorized it completely, what is Isaiah 53?
It is probably the strongest messianic chapter in the entire Word of God.
And I know that you've probably had other people that have talked about Isaiah 53 as well,
because it's probably the most well-known talked about messianic prophecy.
But what Isaiah 53 is about is the crucifixion.
He was pierced through for our iniquities.
He was wounded for our transquessions.
The chastisement of our well-being fell upon him.
By his scourging, we are healed.
And all of us like sheep have gone astray. Each of us has turned to his own way, and the Lord laid upon him the iniquity of us all.
And it's just, to me, if someone doesn't understand that Jesus is the only way to heaven, I don't think they're at least a Christian with understanding.
I don't want to judge, but if you don't understand the blood of Jesus, the uniqueness of who he is and what he's done, if you think he's one of many,
paths? You don't get it.
Well, yeah, it's pretty sloppy. And there are a lot of us who, you know, we drift along in
sloppy platitudes and things. And because we don't want to judge, on the other hand,
we want to know what is right and what is true. And you cannot dismiss. I mean, I love, you
know, when you talk about the blood, blood has to be shed, innocent blood has to be shed,
someplace along the line, I remember when I heard that, oh, yeah,
Yeah, and in Genesis, when they put on these fig leaves, they put on these fig leaf aprons,
and God says, no, no, no, no, like, that's not going to cover it, literally or figuratively.
That's a joke.
That's dead religion.
You think that's going to cover your nakedness?
No.
And he made for them animal skins.
Animals had to be killed.
Blood had to be shed to cover them, and God had to do it.
I mean, just that is this prefiguring of what we see all.
through the scripture. And, you know, I'm just thrilled you've written a book that talks about
these things because we all obviously need to go deeper. We need to understand these things.
Yeah. You know, it's another critical instance in the Hebrew Bible that gives us revelation
about the importance of walking under the lordship of Yeshua so that we can be covered by
his blood. Eric, it's the Passover where they were instructed to each family, had to slay the lamb.
then they collected the blood of the lamb in basins.
And what I like to point out is it wasn't enough to collect the blood in basins.
They had to then take that blood and put it over the individual doorpost of their home and go inside the home.
It's not enough just to believe that Jesus shed his blood, right?
Unless we take him into our life and make him our Lord by the grace of God, the blood doesn't cover our lives,
even as it didn't protect Israel when it was,
sitting there in the basin. Yeah, I mean, again, there is so much here. It's so deep, but it's so
beautiful. And when the pieces start to fit together, your faith lights up because it's,
you think, my goodness, I've missed this, I've missed this. But I really do believe we're in a
season, and you're writing this book, I mean, you're coming to faith, where there is a coming
together of lost things from the Jewish tradition brought into the Christian tradition, which gives us
context to understand. There's a pastor in California, Greg Denham, who has written a lot about
this, but that unless you understand the Jewish context, you're not getting it. And a lot of
us want to know like, hey, Lord, why would you let us wait till the 21st century until we would get
some of this? We don't know the answer to that. We don't know the answer to that. We don't know the
answer to that. You, I mean, do we want to talk about a few more things that are in your book,
Messianic Prophecy revealed? We can, I think we have another segment, if possible. I'll beg the
producers. But, because this is such rich stuff. Yeah. You know what I love, Eric, this is something
that I'm not even sure if I wrote about it in the book or not, but it certainly pertains to what you
and I are talking about right now. Seeing Yeshua and the types in the shadows in the Hebrew scriptures,
all the way back to the very beginning, the book of Barshite,
let us create man in our image.
And the Hebrew word there we know for God is Elohim,
which is a plural word for God.
And so the rabbi say, who's the us?
They say, well, he was talking to the angels.
But you look at it, no, he wasn't talking to the angels.
Let us make man in our image.
And it speaks of the multidimedes.
dimensional nature of the Godhead. And I love this. And the fact that God has relationship
within himself. Yeah, some people might call it the Trinity. It's just, it's just incredible. I'm getting
the high sign. We just have seconds left here. You can be found at Discovering the Jewish Jesus.com.
It's exciting. I know you're on TV, you're on Daystar, you're here, you're there, you're on radio.
But you've never written a book laying this stuff out before.
That's true, not like this.
And this is called Messianic Prophecy Revealed, Seeing Messiah in the pages of the Hebrew Bible.
I am just so excited that we are finally getting this.
God is at work.
Boy, oh, boy, the Lord is at work.
Rabbi Schneider, a privilege.
God bless you.
Brother, thank you.
God bless you.
And thank you for standing firm in the faith.
and using your gift and your intellect to defend the gospel.
It's what we're doing here. Thank you.
Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain.
I'm often asked that question just the other night.
I was asked that question.
Well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal.
That's right, designed to heal.
And I agree with them.
And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients,
yes, 100% drug-free ingredients, and each one of them helps your body deal with inflammation.
Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway.
That's the point.
So approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such wonderful relief.

Hey there, folks. Remember the Babylon Bee?
Weren't they great? They still exist.
They're still great. They're awesome.
And they keep writing books.
The book I'm holding in my hand is called The Babylon Bee Guide to Democracy,
how to flawlessly rig elections, bribe any politician,
and crush your political enemies for good.
I believe that that's all taken from a George Washington quote, by the way.
We have, as our guest, to help us understand this book, one of the authors, his name is Joel Berry.
He's managing editor of the Babylon Bee.
You may know him as the co-author of the Babylon Bee Guide to Wokeness and the Postmodern Pilgrim's Progress.
He's a former worship leader, obviously.
You probably read about that scandal.
Joel, welcome the program.
Thanks for having me, Eric.
Appreciate being back on.
I love talking to any of you folks from the Babylon B, not just because you're funny,
but because you're right thinking.
You really understand what is happening.
This is what humor used to be, where people are actually commenting on what's going on
rather than paddling the boat for evil.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
But so this book, The Babylon B.B.
Guide to Democracy, had a flawlessly rig elections, bribeating politician, crush your political
for good.
Anybody who's a fan of the Babylon B., I'm sure, will want to come.
copy, but what will we find in this magnificent document?
Yeah, well, we, this is our follow-up, obviously, to last year's book, which was the
Babylon B Guide to Wokeness, and kind of what inspired us to do this subject this year was
the fact that the word democracy, I don't know if there's a word in the English language right
now that is often spoken with more sanctimony and self-righteousness than the word democracy.
And even so, it seems like nobody really.
knows what democracy is. And so we figured that was a good target for this year, especially with
the elections coming up. Obviously, you know, the United States is not really a democracy.
We're a constitutional republic, and we wanted to kind of play with this idea that, you know,
that democracy is kind of this holy and sanctified thing that we must protect and skewer kind
of the right, the left, the middle. And, and, and, and, and, you know, and, and, and, you know, and, and, and,
how we all kind of have a part to play in holding up this kind of this big corrupt system
that is now self-propagating in Washington.
I mean, let's talk about this for a second, the difference between a democracy and a
republic, because there are people listening right now who don't know.
And I think this is very important, folks.
I often say democracy, democracy without, in an unthinking way.
We're not a democracy.
We are a republic.
So, Joel, what is your best shot at the difference?
between the two and why it matters?
Well, yeah, early on in the book,
we discussed the origin story of democracy.
And what we say is that the origin of democracy
goes back millions of years
or 6,000 years, depending on how you view the age of the earth.
But it started with two single-celled organisms
that came upon another single-celled organisms,
and they ganged up and ate the third single-celled organism.
It was two against three.
one, and that was the very first democracy. It's really, it's tyranny of the majority, and it's
something that the Constitution and the founders really were very concerned about protecting us all from.
So let's be clear, ladies and gentlemen, let's say everybody says, we're going to govern ourselves,
which means whoever gets the most votes wins. If we vote for the devil, or we vote for Adolf Hitler,
or we vote for someone who hates the idea of democracy like Adolf Hitler, the point is democracy
can lead to what we call mob rule.
It can lead to evil.
So the reason the founders understood we needed a republic
was they said we need safeguards.
What if the people choose things that are evil,
choose things that are against natural law?
What if the people vote against the idea
that were made in the image of God
and the idea that stealing is wrong or murder is wrong?
And what if the people vote for that?
We have to do something about that.
So a pure democracy does nothing about that, which is why we have a republic.
And I just, I love the idea that you guys use humor to help us understand this.
But it's actually, it's suddenly become very important because civics hasn't been taught for a number of decades.
And there's so many Americans that really don't understand the basics, which is why it's falling apart.
Yeah.
And, you know, we do have a lot of fun with this book.
There are a lot of pictures and silly illustrations.
There's a lot of false history in there, but we did try to sneak a little bit of a civics lesson into a lot of these chapters.
You will get a sense for how the three branches of government work.
We talk about the fourth branch of government, which is the corporate branch now, you know,
and really kind of try to play with this idea of, you know, democracy versus constitutional republic
versus all the other systems that have been tried throughout history and kind of give you a bit of an education with some of the laughs as well.
I wish some billionaire would buy a million copies of this book and give it out free at every college campus in America.
We'd love that.
I think that that would really help.
Well, you know, obviously you'd like it because you want to sell copies of the book.
But I mean, I genuinely mean that this kind of humor will help, especially younger people, to understand what is wrong with where we are and what we can do about it.
But it's interesting because you really don't see.
spare anybody in the book. I mean, we, I know we have another segment, but when we come back,
I want to talk more specifically about some of this stuff. It's in the book. I'm laughing,
even glancing at the, at the pictures. But folks, it's the Babylon B guide to democracy,
how to flawlessly rig elections, bribe any politician, and crush your political enemies
for good. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But it is actually important that we
understand how these things work. So when we come back more with Joel Berry, who's with the Babylon
B. If you don't know about the Babylon B, let me just ask, what is wrong with you? We'll be right back.

Hey, gang, welcome back.
We're talking to Joel Berry with the Babylon Bee.
Remember the Babylon Bee?
They used such a great magazine back in the 70s.
Whatever happened in the Babylon Bee?
You have a bookout called The Babylon Bee Guide to Democracy, How to Floresy.
rig elections, bribe any politician, crush your political enemies for good.
It is loaded with humor, Joel.
Is that intentional?
Yeah, well, some of it's intentional.
Some of it just happens.
You describe our current system, what's going on in Washington, D.C.
It's inherently humorous, so it doesn't take much.
But you guys, listen, I mean, I've said this.
Every time I have you guys on, I say this, that the Babylon B, the folks who write for it are brilliantly funny.
And the reason I say that is because, A, it's true, and B, because I'm surprised by that.
Brilliant humor is a rare thing.
So to find a bunch of people who are actually brilliantly funny, it's not a small thing.
We need to rejoice in it.
We need to get the word out about who they are and what they're doing.
And let me ask you, is there any news that you can report on that happened recently with lawsuits or whatever?
because such, it's so crazy. Babylon B, of course, is parody, it's humor, but you guys have been attacked,
and wasn't there a lawsuit recently or something came out? I can't remember. Well, I mean,
it's almost hard for me to keep up with. I mean, we were kicked off a TikTok. We recently got
let back on TikTok without explanation. We're still kicked off a Twitter. We've been seriously
suppressed in Facebook. So, you know, we're kind of fighting the battles on all fronts.
Can we believe that a comedy site, folks?
Folks, believe me, this is brilliant comedy that you guys are kicked off Twitter.
That is so sick.
It is just unbelievably sick.
I mean, look, this program was kicked off of YouTube, but we're living in insane times
where an actual comedy site, an actual parody site called the Babylon B.
You guys are kicked off of Twitter.
You were kicked off of TikTok.
How evil are you?
Because TikTok will, and Twitter, they'll let any violence.
thing on there, but somehow you guys, man, you must be really evil.
Yeah, well, being kicked off a TikTok may be a blessing in disguise.
I, you know, I don't know if it's even a good idea to be on there at this point.
But yeah, you know, it's, I mean, we attack the wrong targets, you know, and it's not just
us.
There are other comedians that are facing the same issues.
You know, the sacred cows of the left are not to be questioned or mocked.
And there are consequences for doing so.
And there are consequences that we're willing to pay.
I think that our audience will always still find us, regardless of the censorship,
because there's a market for this stuff.
People are hungry for people that can speak truth with humor.
And I think it goes to – it really helps to give people courage.
It reminds people that they're not alone, which I think is really important, especially now.
Well, yes, that's the point.
Well, again, a lot of the stuff that you have in this book, actually, you –
You learn, folks.
Like, this is what I love about this, is that it's funny, but you also, you learn a lot.
And it must have taken you.
How many of you guys wrote this?
This just looks like a huge.
There's so much information in here.
It's amazing.
Oh, man.
Well, yeah, we, you know, probably three or four of us wrote the majority of the book.
And then we have an excellent team of illustrators and artists who really filled it out.
What was fun about it was, you know, we kind of, the content itself might be similar.
to what you'd find in, you know, a PJ O'Rourke book, you know, like his book, Parliament of Hors,
if you're familiar with that one. But it has a lot more pictures, which I think is great.
You know, that's my main complaint with any writing of P.G. O'Rourke is there's not enough
stick figures punching each other. So it was a huge team of people that brought this together.
I think we really outdid ourselves. I think we really topped what we did with the first book,
The Babylon B Guide to Wokenness, and it's just a blast.
And it is very, I just want to warn people, it's very smart humor.
You're not going to get all of it, which proves you're not a super genius because a lot of this is, it really is.
I mean, you have the most notorious court cases.
This is the part in the Supreme Court.
And you have, I mean, what's funny to me is that you're telling the truth, but you tell it in a way that's funny.
And so you can actually learn history, but it's very entertaining.
And then you have lesser known Supreme Court cases.
Something tells me these are made up.
This is a famous case, pineapple pizza versus normal pizza.
That was a landmark ruling that pineapple pizza is from the pit of hell.
It's really introduced by the communist Chinese to undermine our Republican democracy.
I agree.
There's another case here that you have famous court case, Joel Osteen versus the Bible.
That's just cruel.
That's just cruel.
it's it's absolutely loaded with with comedy but I just love the idea that you are going to learn
about America and about all kinds of things when you read it so I really do if you
here's here's a thought folks if you're out there if you know anybody particularly I mean
this can this is great for any age but if you know anybody in their 20s in college or something
like that get them a copy of this book it'll blow their mind wherever they stand
because it is just that funny, Joel, and you realize humor is a weapon. When you can make something funny,
you can just, you can communicate things that you cannot communicate. It's kind of, you know,
it's the way comedy used to be in America before we entered the dark times. Yeah, and I think of all
the books that we've written, I think this one probably can potentially be enjoyed by people on all
sides, you know, the left, the right, and the middle. I think we kind of point our canons in all
directions on this one. There's plenty of corruption and moral failures on our side as well as the
left. And so, you know, regardless of where you stand or where your friends and families stand
politically, I think everyone's going to get a kick out of the book for sure. I just turned to the
page, how to conduct an insurrection. It's one of the, these are the tips. It says,
dressed like the hamburger and steal Nancy Pelosi's podium.
deploy Mike Pence seeking robot murder hornets,
ride on Buffalo and claim rightful place on throne.
That's one thing that people are so, I mean, January 6th is such this,
it's treated as such a dark day in American history,
which, you know, there were many things that were awful about it,
but there were so much comedy in that day that so many people missed.
I mean, just the guy that stole Nancy Pelosi's podium,
the person that puts his feet up on a conference,
Congressperson's desk. I mean, there was so much to lock about.
That's democracy and action, pal. Yeah, well, the demonization of the good people who were there that day and the incarceration of those good people is evil. And so you have to kind of know what happened. Joel, I'm so sorry, we're out of time. I've got to tell you, kudos to you. Congratulations again on another winner. The Babylon B Guide to Democracy. Folks, you owe it to yourself to get a copy of this for some young person, some confused young person.
in your life. Joel, thank you so much.
Thanks, Eric. Appreciate it.
Folks, I hope you're enjoying
or have enjoyed the conversation with Rabbi Kurt Schneider.
What an amazing story. I love it.
I love stories like that. That's why we do Miracle Monday.
I just want to add
while we have a moment, Albin,
we want to mention a couple of things.
First of all, tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
That's Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
we are going live with the second in our fall Socrates in the city series.
Actually, before I give you details on that, but that's that's tomorrow night.
I also want to mention SalemNow.com is featuring a new film.
Many of you go to SalemNow.com all the time.
There's all kinds of great stuff there.
There's the show that Albin and I did, which I actually, I'm wondering if people are watching it or maybe they can't find it.
But I tell you, oh my gosh, it's the talk show with Eric Metaxus.
Just go to SalemNow.com, put it in Metaxus, and it should come up.
And I think it's going to blow your mind.
It's not political at all.
We did it down the middle, you know, to try to, just to try to be as apolitical as possible,
just to see if we could do it.
And we could.
But that's not my normal.
Normally, I can't help talk about politics.
But just so you'll see what we did there, Salem now.com.
But they're now featuring innovation race, which really is about how the Chinese communists are really, they've stolen tons of our technology.
And they really want to rule the world.
And their values are not our values.
And so it's called Innovation Race at SalemNow.com.
Okay, Albin, so tomorrow night, I just got to mention every Tuesday night we are releasing a new.
Socrates in the city event.
The one that airs tomorrow,
we did it in Houston.
We'd never done one in Houston before with Dr. James Tour.
And I don't know how to describe.
You know, a lot of times when I'm interviewing somebody
Socrates in the city,
there's certain questions I can't ask, you know,
but I've got to know him personally.
He is the most radically evangelistic person.
Now, he is Jewish.
But he is, he's doing these Bible studies.
He's just an amazing, amazing person.
But he's one of the top scientists in the world.
And we're airing this tomorrow night, 7 p.m. it goes live.
It's a fun thing to do, you know, gather your friends or your family, have a watching party because it's nobody has seen it.
This is, it's going live tomorrow night.
But I have to say, it is because of James Tour, and I talk about this in the interview, that I wrote my book is atheism dead.
I remember meeting him four or so years ago,
and he started telling me what you're going to hear in the interview that I do at Socrates in the city.
And once I got it, I said, this is unbelievable.
How come I haven't heard of this?
This is pretty big news concerning how did life begin?
Every scientist says, oh, yeah, it's a four billion years ago, you know, single cell life emerged.
And you go, excuse me, how do you say that that happened?
he is the scientist that can get into this.
And it is unbelievable.
I want to also say, please share the Socrates events.
You can share the website.
Obviously, you can sign up for the newsletter.
But at this event tomorrow, tell you your friends, forward the email if you get the email about this.
Because these are done for everybody.
This is not just for some Christians or some conservatives.
This is trying to try to get us to think about the big questions.
of life. I can't think of a scientist better than James Tour for, you know, in terms of doing this.
So that's tomorrow night. 7 p.m. Eastern. We're premiering the new Socrates event. And I think that's
about it. God bless you.
