Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Mataxis show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit legacy p.m.investments.com. That's legacy p.m. Investments.com. Welcome to the Eric Mataxis show. Do you like your gravy thick and rich and loaded with creamy mushrooms? If no one was looking, would you chug the whole gravy boat? Chug, chug, chug, chug. Stay tuned. Here comes Mr. Chug-a-lug-lug-lug. himself, Eric Ma, Texas. Hey there, folks, May Day, May Day, May Day.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Today is May Day. May 1st. I am, I don't know why, astonished that we are now in the month of May. I was walking through the park one day in the merry, merry month of May. Here we are. May, it's pollen season. I'm hopped up on Claritin, Zyrtec, you name me. It's today's May 1st.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Okay, here's the good news. Today we finally talk to our friend Megan Basham. She's a hero. She's a real journalist. She has a new book out. We're going to be talking to her about that today. And it is, it's on a very, very important subject. I'm just thrilled that we have her back on the program to talk about her brand new book.
Starting point is 00:01:35 It's amazing. She was on Tucker Carlson talking about it. in hour two we talk this is i just i don't know why it finds me anytime i mentioned Doug giles i smile i laugh uh Doug giles has raised two amazing daughters uh one of them i've met them both of course many times but uh regis giles has written a book we'll be talking to her uh in hour two uh and uh after that we're talking to kent strang he's with americans for Prosperity, by the way, don't forget to visit bitidonomics.com. Our friends at Americans for Prosperity have bought the website to bidanomics.com.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Am I making this up? No, I'm not making this up. I'm not making this up. Also, don't forget two things. Got to mention. Our friend Jason Jones has written a book called The Great Campaign Against the Great Reset. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Jason Jones, award-winning film producer, human rights, activist, genius, friend of Zmirak. He's written a book called The Great Campaign Against the Great Reset. It is newly available. And he explains in the book, just in case you want to know what it's about, how, you know, the globalist, atheist, atheists on the left, I forgot Marxist, have, have, they call what they want to do to destroy the world and enslave us all. they want to destroy America. They call it the Great Reset, okay? You want to talk about hubris.
Starting point is 00:03:11 It's, in this case, unfortunately, literally satanic hubris. So his book is titled The Great Campaign Against the Great Reset. And in his book, The Great Campaign Against the Great Reset, he helps us understand what is happening, what it is, what is the Great Reset, and then how we can be part of the great campaign against the great reset, which we need to be. I also don't want to forget, man, we got some great stuff going on. Socrates in the city, we have an event in two weeks in New York City with the great biographer Ron White. He has written a number of books, extraordinary books.
Starting point is 00:03:57 The one that you might know about is about Abraham Lincoln. I cannot wait. If you want to be part of that, you go to socrates and the city.com. If you can actually be with us in New York, and I hope many of you can and I know people are flying in, but you can watch it on the live stream if you're a member of Socrates Plus. I hope everybody on the program wants to be a member and is already a member of Socrates Plus. All the live streams are included every time we have an event. It's included.
Starting point is 00:04:28 I'm going to be doing some Socrates in the studio. events, I guess, next week. Those are live streamed. You can watch that, but you have to go to Socrates in the city.com and sign up for Socrates Plus. But perhaps the most exciting thing of all is that yesterday, at noon yesterday, Tuesday, we opened registration for our newly announced Socrates in Oxford retreat. We're taking the team over. to Oxford, England. It's July 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th. It's in Oxford at the Randolph Hotel, which is an historic, gorgeous hotel in Oxford, England, right across from the Ashmolean Museum. The Ashmolean Museum is itself, like, staggering. There's so much in Oxford. I mean, just to be in
Starting point is 00:05:22 Oxford, but to be in Oxford with like-minded people for the Socrates and the city retreat, We've never done a retreat like this. It's a four-day thing. It's four nights at the Randolph Hotel, you know, meals. I mean, the whole thing is... Sounds like a lot of fun, but there'll be no, like, trust falls or anything like that, right? No firewalking. Tony Robbins kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:05:46 We had to cancel a firewalk. Yeah. You know why? Because I think it's hooey. Yeah, I'm not interested. You know, honestly, anybody can firewalk if you walk fast enough. You know what I'm saying? And I'd be like sprinting across the coals.
Starting point is 00:06:00 That's true. Anyway, but there's actually going to be a lot of kind of cool stuff around it, but I'm interviewing six people. Some of them twice, I think, I can't figure it out yet, but some of them, Michael Ward, who wrote a planet Narnia, Alistair McGrath. I mean, he's a legend. He wrote the book, Twilight of Atheism, but a whole bunch. I can't, I don't have it all in front of me right now. but really very, very impressive list of people, I have to say, it's pretty extraordinary. But we're working on just a few details, but the registration is open.
Starting point is 00:06:41 And it will be limited, obviously. This is not like, you know, a cruise ship where you can fit 800 people. I mean, at some point we have to shut it down. So if you're interested, go to the website today, SocratesintheCity.com. check it out. Please check it out. And, you know, share with your friends because it's going to be pretty cool. We're going to be probably live streaming all of those, too.
Starting point is 00:07:07 So if you cannot come, you can watch it. But I'm just thrilled. I mean, I can't believe that we put this together. We have a Socrates and City book coming out in the fall, a compilation of some of my favorite conversations. I've been editing that recently. So all of that is pretty amazing. Okay, so before we talk to Megan Basham, Regis, Giles, and Kent Strang of Americans for Prosperity,
Starting point is 00:07:37 I want to remind you we're doing a fundraiser for Christian Solidarity International. This is where you get an opportunity to live out your faith. This is, I keep talking about this, that in every single way, we're supposed to live out our faith, faith without works is dead. We have to live out our faith. And by the way, when you do live out your faith in any way, you get blessed. There's just no way around it. So here we have an opportunity.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Many of you already know that Christian Solidarity International has people on the ground in Sudan, in southern Sudan and in Sudan. mostly women and children are currently enslaved there. Let's think about that. It's not a metaphor. They're enslaved by radical Muslims. They believe in that over there. Yeah, radical Muslims don't have a problem with slavery. And they enslaved Christians. And so mostly women and children, Christians, because they're Christians are enslaved now, the good news is because of C's CSI, we could do something about this. Because of CSI, we can free slaves, literally free slaves. Tell your kids about this. Tell your kids that there's real evil in the world and that to live at our
Starting point is 00:08:58 faith, we need to do what we can when we can do something. We can always pray. But sometimes we can do something else. Sometimes we can give $250 and free an actual slave. Ladies and gentlemen, that's crazy that CSI has created a situation where we don't just say, oh, there's this terrible thing. We can do something about it. There's a finite number of people still enslaved, and it is only money that prevents us from bringing them out of slavery into a life of freedom, setting them up. The $250 sets them up in a life of freedom. I say to everybody, that's the number that TSI is saying. If you give that number, you free somebody and you put them in a life of freedom, you set them up. And there's a whole story that goes along with that. But if you can't give $250,
Starting point is 00:09:45 What can you give? Can you give $10 a month? You have to go to metaxisstalk.com. Please go to metaxisstalk.com today. Please click on the banner. Please give what you can. There's a phone number, 888-253-2522. 888-25-25-22. Or just go to metaxisstalk.com. Please participate. We'll be right back. Our government lacks leadership and biodynamics has been a disaster. The economy is in a fragile state. Inflation has been a consistent issue. High interest rates have put significant pressure on the real estate market. There have been major bank failures and many analysts say a stock market correction is likely overdue. We have global conflicts in Europe and the Middle East that have the potential to spread, but gold has soared to record highs even amidst the tensions. There's so many reasons Americans should consider investments in gold and silver, and legacy precious metals is the gold

Starting point is 00:12:27 Hey, folks, welcome back. My guest, this hour, is Regis Giles. Giles. Do you understand? The last name is the same as Doug Giles, because she's the daughter of Doug Giles. That's her most important credential for coming on this program. I want to be real clear. She has many other important credentials. Since 2007, she, Regis Giles, has helped women and children learn how to adequately defend themselves against physical attack. She's an internet and media personality creator of girls. Just Want to Have Guns.com.
Starting point is 00:13:05 And she is the author now of a book called Let Go. Regis, welcome. Thank you for having me, Eric. Yes, listen. You know what a fan and friend I am of your dad. So I was excited to know, you know, he kind of lets me know what's going on in you and your sister's lives sometimes. So I'm glad that you've written a book. So let me ask you the most simple question.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Why is the book titled Let Go? There's a lot that us Christians need to abandon in our thought process. And from my own transformation, refiners. fire pruning season the Lord put me through, I decided, well, he gave me the words to share on the ideals, the concepts that we need to abandon. Concepts that we need to abandon. All right. So then what do you mean? What concepts do we need to abandon? So the table of contents of my book is let go of the expectation of the past. of the offense, of the wrong relationships,
Starting point is 00:14:18 of the culture, of the plan, of the perception, and of the object. And I think there's a lot of things I myself, as a Christian, held on to that I didn't realize I actually wasn't holding my thoughts captive to the glory of the Lord. And that, for me, I have a very visual mind and thoughts come in and out so,
Starting point is 00:14:45 quickly, I don't think we realize how easy it is for a thought to just pop in our heads. So to actually hold a thought captive that our thoughts are a pleasing aroma to the Lord, that's something that's next to impossible in our own strength and in our own might. So surrendering that to the Lord, to give that to the Lord to honor him, I think that's where the start of a lot of transformation can begin. And it did begin for my life. And there was a whole world of trouble that happened in my life because I didn't surrender that aspect of myself to the Lord. So for whom did you write the book?
Starting point is 00:15:31 Is this for young women like yourself? It's for myself. It's for any Christian conservative Christian, I would say even that have still held on to control in their lives. haven't fully surrendered and abandoned things. And this is for them. I lived that life. I lost my company when I was back in 2018. I got banned by Facebook and Google, just like my father did.
Starting point is 00:16:03 And there were several other things that I realized in my life, as a Christian conservative, I had control over, and I didn't surrender to God. And so this is a process, this book, Let Go, is a process of abandoning the thoughts, abandoning the ideals that we think we are right in and instead taking on God's perspective of what is right. Give me a specific example in your own life, if you don't mind.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Do you write about what you went through? I mean, I do, Eric. The first book, or sorry, the first chapter, let go of the, let go of the expectation. I go through a very personal storyline. It's my testimony. I, like I said, I lost my company in 2018. That was something that I identified through.
Starting point is 00:17:10 And it was a very successful. company, but the issue was I identified through it instead of through the Lord. Well, first of what was the company? What kind of a company was it? It was a dot com. My website, Girls Just Want to Have Guns.com. So it gained the attention of global news. I was published in L Magazine, Variety, all these other big publications.
Starting point is 00:17:38 And it's something I started when I was 18 years old. and I heavily identified through this. But it's something I address in the book. I didn't fully surrender that to the Lord also. So there are things that I realized as a young Christian, I did not give full control over to the Lord in my life, including my personal relationships. So those are things that I thought, ah, God doesn't care about that.
Starting point is 00:18:16 I mean, what you're talking about is kind of typical of the Christian life, isn't it? That we think we got it. And then we realize, well, maybe I had the gist of it. I say Jesus is Lord, but there were aspects of my life where I wasn't actually living it out. So I don't know if you just said it and I missed it, but maybe you can reprise the specifics. I mean, what do you mean? Do you mean that your identity was wrapped? up in this brand and in this company, the success of the company, and when it fell apart,
Starting point is 00:18:43 you recognize that. Absolutely. And I also involved, because my pride was so high with the success of my business, the identity in it, I put my relationship with Christ on the back burner, and I decided to get into a long-distance relationship that was not with a man who had the same faith as I did. And that is where I started to compromise my entire relationship with the Lord. And there came a point in time at the summer of 2020 towards the end of COVID, where I just cried out, God, take my life. I am done. I'm done trying to control it. I'm done trying to manipulate things into my own favor. Like, I'm over it.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Have it. It's yours. And the moment I did that, God took note, and he opened up a journey before me within the next couple months. I went from working into the hospitality industry. After I lost my company, I went into dog walking and then all these odd other jobs, because I just didn't know where to go.
Starting point is 00:19:57 And when I surrendered my life to the Lord, He took me from working in the hospitality industry to then being in the rooms with world leaders and speaking about the Lord to them, which is like, that's a crazy promotion. And definitely from world standards, I'm unqualified to be in the rooms, but God saw me fit to be there. And it's incredible. Ever since I've done that, he's opened up ever since I surrendered my. thoughts, my life to him again. He's opened up opportunity for me to witness to others. People have been coming to the Lord. And it's just that that's the true treasure in life. It's to not have the platform, have, have the recognition and everything like that.
Starting point is 00:20:53 It's to win souls to the Lord. And that's, um, that's a treasure that can't be bought here on this earth. Did you, did you have that before and then lost it or do you feel that you never had it? What do you mean? Well, you know, when you're talking about your faith and where you are now, was that something that you had had early on, but that, you know, the success of your business and other things led you to drift away from it? Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:28 I think so. I think, again, part of part of the book is abandoning your past, abandoning the expectations you've held, the thoughts that you conceived in your mind how your life would look like. And when you, when you start drifting, for me at least, when I started drifting from God's perspective of how things should look like, that's when things went seriously awry. So in essence, since I've returned to what my first love and the true heart desire that was in me from the beginning, but that life happened. And I wasn't, I wasn't armored up. And now the Lord brought me back into the fold. Thank God. I think the one scripture that put the most fear of God in me is Matthew 7, 21 verse, or sorry, Matthew 7, verses 21 through 23.
Starting point is 00:22:31 It says not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my father who is in heaven. On that, I'm going to come back to that with you because that's a big one. That's a big one. Folks, I'm talking to Regis Giles, same last name as Doug Giles,
Starting point is 00:22:51 perhaps because she's his daughter. We'll be right back. For 10 years, Patriot Mobile has been America's only, only Christian conservative wireless provider. I'm talking to Regis Giles, G-I-L-E-S, daughter of my friend Doug Giles, who's on this program a lot. And Regis, you just brought up something which is one of the most important scriptures. I mean, it's just amazingly powerful. Say it again, where is it and quote it?
Starting point is 00:25:48 It's Matthew 7, verses 21 through 23. And it says, not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. but the one who does the will of my father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and cast out demons in your name and do many mighty works in your name? And then will I declare to them, I never knew you, depart from me, you workers of lawlessness. And if that doesn't put the fear of God in you,
Starting point is 00:26:22 I don't know what will, because I want to be known and found to be doing the will of God instead of just invoking the power of Christ's name, which I think this verse is incredible to show that even if you're not known by the Lord, the power of his name still works. But I want to be found known. I don't want to be found lawless before Christ. What I find interesting about that, this is just something I've been thinking about lately because of my new book, Religionless Christianity, is this idea of people who talk a good game about their faith and they can speak theologically and on on. But are you living out your life
Starting point is 00:27:04 doing the will of God when we think about the good Samaritan? He's a Samaritan. I don't know what he believed theologically, but Jesus praises him for doing the will of the Father, for doing what Jesus is commending what he does. And I think we lose sight of that sometimes. We forget that the Lord's looking at us. to live out our faith, not just to talk about our faith or to use the name of Jesus or to talk about, I go to this church or even to scripture, but to live it out, to do the will of the
Starting point is 00:27:38 father. And so how did that manifest in your life? In other words, where did you feel that you weren't doing God's will? I'm in the deepest parts of my thoughts, I think, and even the purity of my heart was that question. So he did a lot of inner work where I, I ask the Lord, I want to see the world through your perception. And I address that in the chapter of the perception. Let go of the perception. Stop looking at the world through your eyes. Start taking on the lens of God.
Starting point is 00:28:18 And I highlight Christ's sermon on the mouth because that's really where he addresses the heart issues. that's where, you know, if our heart is right before the Lord, if our thoughts are held captive, then we will, just by functioning, do His will because it is living from within us and then reflect it out. Let me see the book. Hold it up so I can see the cover because I don't have a copy of it. Let go. So it's interesting because it's a great title.
Starting point is 00:28:56 It's a great concept. but as you unpack it, I mean, I guess part of the problem that people have in letting go and letting God, right, in opening ourselves up utterly to God's will is I think there are a lot of people that they have a bad idea about God's will. They think God is going to make them do something that they don't like or whatever. So they just kind of run with what they know. So but you're saying that when you came to the end of yourself, sounds like it, that you finally said, okay, God, I give up, show me, and suddenly things happened. Yeah. He opened up the most amazing adventure. I couldn't have planned. And, you know,
Starting point is 00:29:46 that assignment came and went, but what was done within me set me up for success to eternity. And I think, you know, let's say your life, which your life won't, when you experience the Lord and you surrender, there's absolute transformation and incredible things do occur. Like his plan for our lives is far better than anything our limited selves could ever conceive. And so once we really surrender everything to be utilized for the kingdom of God, there's no way he's not going to open up the doors to an amazing adventure. Why do you think some people are afraid of that? What do you think they're afraid is going to happen, that they're just going to become religious fanatics,
Starting point is 00:30:39 or they're going to become so otherworldly that they can't live a normal life? I always wonder what it is that's preventing people, because there's so many people that are, they're afraid of turning their lives over to God. They're just afraid of what that might look like. Yeah, I honestly think that Satan trying to keep Christians in a corner to actually fulfill the promises and the plans that God has for them. And yeah, it can be intimidating stepping out in faith because you don't know what's coming next. And it's fear of man, too.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Oh, my gosh, what are these people going to think about me? What if I say all these things? but if you live for an audience of one, your Heavenly Father, things will go very well, very well for you. And it's trying to please man, trying to keep up appearances in things. That's when things actually go very wrong for you. We'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:31:46 We're talking to Regis Giles G-I-L-E-S, the new book, brand-new book, Let Go. Don't go away. I mean, he is just like a wild man in the best sense of wild. It's delightful. And whenever I interview your dad, he has this stuffed lion that he killed right behind him,
Starting point is 00:34:49 and I can never get. So thank you for not doing that. and having a gigantic animal behind you because it's distracting. It's like, it's confusing. I want to talk about, you know, since I bring up the lion that your dad blasted the kingdom come, you have a website called Girls Just Want to Have Guns.com, which is very funny, but it's interesting because your dad raised both you and your sister to know how to defend yourselves.
Starting point is 00:35:16 Can you talk about that a little bit or talk about that website? Yeah. I actually was on that lion hunt with my dad. I wasn't too far off. You were with him when he took that lion down. Wow. I was. And I hunted my own lion too.
Starting point is 00:35:31 But so girls just want to have guns is no longer in existence because after I got blacklisted by Facebook and Google, it just killed the business. It did start off as a women's advocacy for self-defense. My background is in jiu-jitsu. started when I was nine years old. I was the first female black belt from the Valente Brothers Academy, which is, was pretty intimidating to step in to get tested for my black belt. You're surrounded by 50 to 60 men who are trying to tear you psychologically and physically from limb to limb. So it was a very interesting test. And I'm a big shooter. I've, um, I've written for the NRA since I was a wee little ass.
Starting point is 00:36:23 And my background is in hunting with shooting, but I've gotten more into the defensive shooting also with handguns. So the website girls just want to have guns.com doesn't exist anymore. Gone. It's gone. Do you have a website that folks can go to? I do not. So they're interested in finding this point.
Starting point is 00:36:49 They have to go to Amazon.com. Or wherever books are sold. The book is called Let Go. So is it possible? I always want to know because I think people's journeys are so interesting. You know, if you have a black belt in jujitsu at age nine. I mean. I was 22 when I got my black belt.
Starting point is 00:37:10 I'm sorry. If you started training when you were nine, you get a black belt in jih Tzu when you're 22. But you've been training. Is it possible? I think it's possible that that tremendous self-confidence can lead to pride. Now, we always have to be careful that, you know, you kind of think, oh, I'm all that. I'm really special. And of course, you are, you are, but sometimes our self-regard, the enemy can use that against us.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Yeah, absolutely. The enemy is very subtle at how he guides us off the path. and it's funny because right after I got my black belt, I then hunted my lion. So I was feeling very proud and on top of the world at that point. And interestingly enough, a few months later, I tore my ACL. So God kind of just went and chopped me at the knee and gave me a slice of humble cake from there, which was one aspect that he also brought me into the,
Starting point is 00:38:15 the fold, but, um, hard to be, hard to be cocky when you can't walk. Wow. Yes, very, very hard. And, uh, but I'm a stubborn Italian also. My mom's Sicilian. So I think I, I needed a little bit more of surrendering after that to, um, which he's always faithful. And he's, he's, he's always gracious and merciful. So I'm, I'm so thankful that he never failed me. I'm so thankful for that. At what point did you feel that you wanted to write about this in the book Let Go? At what point did you say I need to write about this? Well, it was during my refiners fire in 2021, and the Lord actually gave me the title and the title of the chapters.
Starting point is 00:39:05 And I just, it's everything he taught me when he was correcting me. So I felt, I felt it necessary to share with other Christians because he told me to. So I'm just obeying. So you're one of those crazy people like me that believes God communicates with us. That is just crazy. And yet we believe. Weird wild stuff. We believe this stuff.
Starting point is 00:39:31 Okay. So what are some of the chapters in the book before we have to go? I want my audience to have a clearer sense of what's in the book, let go. Yeah. So the first, there's. eight chapters, it's let go of the expectation, of the past, of the offense, of the wrong relationships, of the culture, of the plan, of the perception, and of the object. Of the object. What do you mean by that?
Starting point is 00:40:05 So I highlight Abraham when the Lord asked Abraham to, sacrifice Isaac. And sometimes it's the very promise that God gives us that we start idolizing. And he asked, God asked Abraham to put Isaac on the altar to slit his throat, which I'm sure most Christians are like, well, God, God, that's not God's character. He doesn't do that. God would never do that unless you believe the person in his case. It turns out he might. Yeah, so, and that's the interesting thing about Abraham's story is that he knew God's voice. He knew God so well that he didn't question if this was God or not. And the very next morning, early in the morning, first priority, he got up with and they went walking.
Starting point is 00:41:02 That, to me, is a mind game in and of itself. Like, you're walking three days to sacrifice the very promise, the very blessing that God gave you. and then when Abraham did it, what God did for Abraham after that was powerful. So, yeah, the object can be the very thing that God promised us, but it's not God. So God always must be first in our hearts. It's kind of simple, except we are complicated and continually. We need to continually give everything to God. let go, give it back to God, and trust that God loves us so much. He'll give us back whatever he has for us.
Starting point is 00:41:46 I'm sorry, we're out of time. Regis, wonderful to speak with you. Folks, the book is let go. And Regis, thank you. Thank you. Hey there, folks. Welcome back. As you know, Americans for prosperity have joined us as partners on this program, and I get now to talk to Kent Strang of Americans for Prosperity. Kent, welcome back. Thank you. Thanks for having me on again.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Appreciate it. I want to talk about, you know, the basics, problems facing the country and how Americans for Prosperity is launching this bus tour to sort of educate, well, to sort of to educate Americans about our economy, our problems, and how we can fix them? Yeah, that's right. I mean, we all know that over the last three and a half years, Joe Biden and his allies have pumped in over $6 trillion in new spending. It overcooked our economy. And we're dealing with the impact of that. And the impact is higher prices across the board. Americans are paying $11,400 more since just to maintain their lifestyle since Joe Biden took office. Hang on a second. Whenever I hear something like that, I just have to hit pause.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Sure. That is unbelievable. In other words, people can talk and talk and talk. You know this is a fact. And I want my audience to hear this. Since Biden has taken office, the average American family is paying $11,400 more for the same thing. For the exact same thing. And Americans feel it every day at the grocery store, at the gas station, no matter what they're. they buy, it cost Americans more and they get less. I mean, look, these are facts. And so I want my audience to hear that. Ladies and gentlemen, did you hear that? It's a fact. People can say what they want.
Starting point is 00:44:10 They can have their anecdotal, you know, I think things feel, but $11,400 on average. That is a lot of money to your average American. That is a lot of money. Where is that supposed to come from? So thank you for that. I know people can go to, this is, I just love this. You guys have bought the website bidanomics.com. So if you want to read that statistic and other statistics, folks,
Starting point is 00:44:38 our friends at Americans for Prosperity have bought the website bydenomics.com, and that and other things are available there. So what else can we talk about? I mean, in a sense, you guys call this a super tax on the hardworking people in the country. I mean, that that is $11,400 more is it's a tax effectively on everybody because of the Biden administration's policies. That's right. And it's made life completely unaffordable. And we talk to folks every single day. That's part of what we're doing with Bidonomics.com connecting folks to the rhetoric that Joe Biden and his allies in Congress talk about how they're improving the economy versus a reality, which is what you just talked about. Prices are up 20% across the board.
Starting point is 00:45:25 They're paying $11,400 more to maintain their lifestyle. Their energy is more expensive. Their real wages are down. And so every single metric that you look at in the way that people feel, people are hurting from Bidenomics because of those failed policies. And you guys say that it's not just Joe Biden. It's the folks in Congress who have rubber stamped his policies. That's right. He can't do it alone.
Starting point is 00:45:52 I mean, he uses the executive order pen quite a bit, but it's folks in the Senate like Bob Casey and Tammy Baldwin and Jackie Rosen and John Tester that have rubber stamped these policies. And it's not just Joe Biden spending the money. Congress has to spend that money. And so part of what we're doing in Americans for Prosperity right now with our Bidenomics campaign and our Bidenomics as bad economics tour is connecting the American people to, hey, this is not just a Joe Biden problem. it's perhaps your member of Congress or your United States Senator who ushered in this $6 trillion, put too much money of the economy, resulted in 40-year high inflation, and resulted in the higher prices that you pay every single day. What is the name of the tour this summer?
Starting point is 00:46:36 Yeah, Bidenomics is bad economics. And we're going to go hit the road. We're going to hit 25 states, over 300 events, connecting people to these exact problems. I just want to tell people, Bidenomics, is the website, folks. This is Americans prosperity bydynamics.com.
