Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Mataxis show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit legacy p.m.investments.com. That's legacy p.m. Investments.com. Ladies and gentlemen, he has a jar of peanut butter, and he's not afraid to use it. Here comes Eric Mattexas. Holy guacamole. We're back, Alvin. We're back. It's not like they say. Like we're never coming back. We're here now. Look, look at us.
Starting point is 00:00:43 Look at this. All right, look, ladies and gentlemen, today we're going to be doing something because I'm traveling. Okay, today I have to fly to, I like to call it Tennessee, to Nashville, Tennessee, because we're doing a special TBN thing, which is going to air, I think, next Monday. It's kind of a big deal. It's going to be on TBN. We'll give you the details. but it's kind of a town hall, a number of TBN participants. And we're in a TVN studio. We invited everybody here, but they said, oh, too many people, too many people. So we got to do it down in Nashville in Huckabee's studio. And Huckabee's, man, he's just laughing in our face.
Starting point is 00:01:26 No, but he, some people don't know that. TBN, the studio in Nashville, they bought what used to be called Twitty City. Conway Twitty had a theater. there. It was called Twitty City. Not making this up. I've been there several times. It's amazing. And so that's the Nashville studio of TBN. So I'm going to go there. But tonight, because that's tomorrow or wait, that's tomorrow. I'm having dinner with Ricky Skaggs because he was on the program recently. We became friends. And I want to talk to him about a lot of stuff. One of the things I want to talk to him about, and I mentioned on the program the other day, his album,
Starting point is 00:02:03 Mosaic. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It is, I mean, first of all, he wrote a beautiful book, which I recommend highly, and we'll have him back to talk about the book. But his album Mosaic, I never listen to albums, and I listen to the whole thing over and over and over again. The whole album is gem after gem after gem. Very beautiful music. His singing voice is astonishing.
Starting point is 00:02:31 I mean, you know, it's one thing to be a mandolin virtuoso. It's another thing to be able to sing beautifully. but every song is really moving deeply Christian but not Christian in quotes kind of like you know that that thing that I always talk about you know it's like looking at a sunset and saying is that a Christian sunset no it's it's like everything points to God and you don't like cheaply label it and the music is just so beautiful in the album mosaic I don't recommend things if you play it backwards it says I am Christian I am Christian I am Christian that's Correct. Okay, so, so, but so today, so, so, so, also this week, of course we got John Smirak. He's been ill.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Oh, yeah. He celebrated a birthday, December 27th. He's been ill. Haken. And so I believe Thursday will do at least one hour with Zmirak. We have another guest, Mel Kay. I won't say too much about her, but I am really excited to talk to her. She's in New York City and she's got a perspective on kind of the deep state and the, oh, man, like amazing stuff. So we've got a lot of stuff. Hopefully Friday. Hopefully Friday for Mel. Yeah. And Melanie, of course, is her name.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Melanie. So we have to talk about this again just because I still can't get over it. Now, the program that we're going to air today, my conversation with Roger Stone from December 9th, we talk a little bit about clothing. But the night of that we were together on December 9th back in, this is obviously weeks ago, there was this event. I mentioned at the beach cafe on 70th and 2nd Avenue. And I went there and I wore my Domenico Spano. I have a couple, but I wore my Domenico Spano suit. Now, Domenico Spano, he's a friend of mine, I call him Mimo, because he's Italian, he says,
Starting point is 00:04:38 Mimo. He is, it doesn't get more old school, and, like, really wealthy people go to him and say, you know, make me some suits or whatever. But I became friends with them a number of years ago, and because he's my friend, he made me a few pieces at his cost, which is still tough for me to afford back then. But I've got to tell you, it'd be even tougher today. But it's just so funny because Roger being a super expert on men's fashion and compiling this best-dressed list of the year, whatever,
Starting point is 00:05:12 he knows more about this stuff. So he knows everything about Domenico Spano and Alan Flusser and all these. I mean, he really is a genius on this. So we talk about that a little bit in what you're going to hear today. But as I said, a couple days ago, I get this list. I get this email text, rather, from him saying that I've made the list. And I thought, this is putting a lot of pressure on me. I went at the dinner last night with Suzanne, and I said, you know what?
Starting point is 00:05:36 I can't go to the house dressed like this. Because what if somebody saw Roger's list and they see me now? And they're going to be like, what? So it's like, so it's kind of funny. But Roger, what I love about Roger is that like me, he doesn't, you know, you can't like, unless you're wealthy, You can't spend, you can't go to somebody like Domenico Spano and just say, hey, make me some suits or whatever, because it's prohibitive. That's putting it nicely.
Starting point is 00:06:08 So, but he was kind of like telling me where he finds things and this and that. And I've got a lot of clothing literally from eBay or, I mean, because you have to, if you know what you're looking for, you can find really nice clothes that way. But I just don't want anybody to think that I could, in my work, wildest dreams, frankly, afford like that kind of clothing. It would be nice, but no. And I think as a good steward of God's money, I take that really, really seriously.
Starting point is 00:06:40 At least I think we should, you know, to the extent that we can take things seriously. But it just, it still cracks me up. So we're going to play my conversation with Roger Stone. Yeah, we got to give back to him. We've got to get back to Roger. One hand washes the other type of thing. But he is, he's an amazing person. And as I've gotten and know him, it's just, it's a joy when you get to know somebody,
Starting point is 00:07:01 you realize this guy's the real deal. And as I know we will talk about in the program, which we're airing today. He's so much different than what the media tells you he is. Well, that's for sure. When you meet him in person, he's just something else. But also, he in the last two years, and I can't remember how much we talk about this, but he came to very serious faith as a Christian. And before that, you know, he was kind of like Chuck Colson before Chuck Holson.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Colson became a Christian. He was like a political operative. In some ways, not a nice guy. And I think it's logical to ask, was his conversion genuine, or is this just a little, you know? And as I've gotten to know him, yeah, it's very real. And you'll see that in the conversation.
Starting point is 00:07:45 At least I hope you'll see it. Is there anything else that we have to mention right now? We should mention about CSI. This is big stuff, actually, because we're going on with... There are people who don't know about this, and they must know about it. Ladies and gentlemen,
Starting point is 00:08:03 in December and now continuing for the first two weeks of January, Christian Solidarity International, they are one of these premier organizations in the world, and they have for decades, had relationships with all kinds of people around the world, including in the hotspot of Sudan and southern Sudan. And they have figured out over the years, they've created relationships in such a way that they are able literally to free enslaved people.
Starting point is 00:08:39 And we don't mean enslaved in quotes. We have to break it to you that around the world, the tremendous evil of slavery continues. I think if you listen to this program, you're well aware that evil is a real thing. and just because it's 2023 doesn't mean that, oh yeah, well, we're nice now. Everybody's nice. Evil is just as real today as it ever was. Alexander Solzhenitsyn said the line between good and evil goes through every human heart. So just because things are relatively good here in America doesn't mean we're not dealing with evil,
Starting point is 00:09:15 and that's another subject we talk about. But in parts of the war like Sudan, there is still literally slavery. Christians have been enslaved by Muslim, radicals. There's really nothing anyone can do about it except CSI has figured out how to deal with this. And if you go to our website, metaxistalk.com. And boy, I am begging you folks. I'm begging you. Go to CS. Go to metaxis talk.com. The banner is at the top, top, top of the page. Anything you give, it's tax deductible. And it is just one of the most glorious opportunities that we get to do something that it's as unadulterated a good as anything I could ever share. So I just
Starting point is 00:09:58 wanted to say that. And they do it in such a way that does not continue slavery. They were able to release people and they're not re, you know, they're not encouraging this by giving money to pay. Yeah, and we've talked about that on the program. All right. We'll be back with a great Roger Stone. Why should you choose to supplement your pets diet? Because they do the same thing to pet food that they do to most human food these days. Click on the Christian Solidarity Banner at the top. the page. Oh, hello. I didn't see you come in. Folks, I'm in the TBN studio with a really special guest, someone I feel privileged to call friend. His name is Roger Stone. Roger, welcome. Great to be here. Now, there are many people that know you and love you. There are some people
Starting point is 00:12:50 that know you and hate you. Many people, more people, who don't know of you, who aren't sufficiently politically involved to know who you are. To me, you were a legendary figure. You worked with Richard Nixon when you were very young. How would, I mean, for someone who really doesn't know you, which will be many people in my audience, unless they saw you on the program the last time, but how do you describe yourself these days? Well, I guess I'm a veteran Republican strategist. I've worked for 12 national presidential campaigns. Yes, I started with Richard Nixon, worked three campaigns for Ronald Reagan, 1976, 1980, and 1984. Worked for George H.W. Bush, was kind of drafted into that. I'm not a Bush Republican.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Was he a Republican, by the way? Barely. Yeah. He was kind of a crony capitalist. He was kind of like a Mitt Romney Republican, so like right on the edge, like Kristen Cinema. Right up until the time he got nominated, of course, he was a Reagan Republican. And then one elected president, he proved to be a rhino. He tacked Stalinward. Yeah. Not that there's anything wrong with that. You know, it's a big tent.
Starting point is 00:14:05 It's a big tent, man. So, yes. And then, of course, probably one of the first people in the country to suggest to Donald Trump that he should run for president. Now, wait a minute. I didn't know that. 1988. We made a famous trip to New Hampshire.
Starting point is 00:14:21 We're sitting in his office one day. I met him in 1979, Trump, this is, when I was working for Governor Reagan. I went to Trump's office to try to recruit him for Reagan's finance committee. I was successful, by the way, both Fred and his son, Donald Trump, were on our finance committee. We became very good friends. Then in 1988, I was visiting him, and he was leafing through the New York Times, and he said, George Bush and Michael Dukakis, there has to be somebody better. There has to be.
Starting point is 00:14:52 And I said, well, there is. Well, we should get behind them. Who is it? I said, I was thinking about you, actually. And he said, and I quote, you're out of your mind. Right. I said, no, you have very strong views. You think the country's being taken to the cleaner in these international trade deals.
Starting point is 00:15:07 You think are... No, wait, wait, wait, wait. In 1988, Donald Trump already saw that the United States was being taken advantage of in international trade deals in 1980. We subsequently made a trip to New Hampshire where he addressed the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce with two themes. one, why are we being taken to the cleaners in all these international trade deals? And two, how come our NATO partners are not paying their fair share? In 1988. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:37 So, I mean, these are not like new ideas to Donald Trump. And then why have we let our national defense atrophy? Those were kind of his three signature issues at the time. And I'm also New York Times best-selling author. I've written five books. My first book, The Man Who Killed Kennedy, the Case. against LBJ, as it was a New York Times bestseller. Six publishers told me it would never be commercially successful.
Starting point is 00:16:02 In the end, it'll probably send my youngest grandchildren to college. So I do a daily show of the Stone Zone. It's StoneZone.org. 5 o'clock Eastern every day. It's net-based. StoneZone. Right, to watch my show. Or you can follow my website, stonezone.com,
Starting point is 00:16:24 where I write and post videos and so on. You can also get your iconic Roger Stone did nothing wrong t-shirt there, if you'd like, or any of my books. See, the reason you're a delight to me, one of the reasons is that you are, you're kind of an inveterate prankster, jokester. I mean, you know, the shirt that says Roger Stone
Starting point is 00:16:49 did nothing wrong. You like to play with the media. You like to tease them and provoke them in a way that I find delicious. Well, in all fairness, I think many Americans know that I was framed by Robert Mueller. I was alleged that I lied to Congress under oath about Russian collusion. Eric, how is that possible? How did one lie about something that we now know definitively didn't happen? The purpose of my criminal indictment on eight counts was to pressure me into bearing false witness against Donald Trump, which I refused to do.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Right. It was during that period that I produced the Roger Stone Did Nothing Wrong T-shirt, and I sold them to raise money for my legal defense fund. Today, you can go to my website and get your very own signed copy of my unconditional presidential pardon. A great gift for Christmas. You never laugh at your own jokes, Roger. Stone, and I resent you for that. You really should. Let's see, the headline, I want to cover a number of things that we have in common. Christian faith, which is
Starting point is 00:17:58 something that's fairly new to you in your life. Indeed. And which is real, and I know that, because we've talked. I want to talk about clothing. So we'll have a sartorial moment or two on the program. I want to talk about weightlifting. I want to talk about the demonic portal over the White House. I pretty much want to talk about everything. But let's go back to your more recent trials.
Starting point is 00:18:29 You went through hell. We did talk about this on the program. You had the FBI come to your home. What is this? Two and a half years ago? Six o'clock in the morning, 29, heavily armed FBI. 29. They arrived in 17.
Starting point is 00:18:45 armored vehicles. There's a government helicopter overhead. I lived on a canal at that time, so two amphibious units from the FBI pull-up, so they completely surround the house. In Florida. In Florida. They are all brandishing fully automatic M-4 assault weapons to arrest a then-68-year-old man with no previous record for the white-collar crime of allegedly lying to Congress. Scared the hell out of my dogs, I might add, and didn't do much for my wife either. But it's about intimidation. The whole, I mean, they had, the special counsel's office had been in touch with my attorneys the previous day. We had just turned over 90 pages of text messages that proved my innocence. And they could have said, oh, by the way, we're going to charge your client. So bring him in,
Starting point is 00:19:33 which is the way it's normally done. But instead, they did this stunning raid. So Robert Mueller chose to have this done. Well, or his underling, most likely Andrew Weissman. It's a terror attack. First of all, it's meant to pressure you into testifying the way they want you to. Okay, look, but I always have to, you know, annotate and editorialize. This is as despicable as it gets. This is as vile as it gets in the United States of America to send 29 FBI people armed with guns, amphibious units, 17 vehicles. This is so despicable that if you are not a stung, and horrified by this, folks, you are dead. You are dead inside. If you are not sickened that this would
Starting point is 00:20:22 happen in the United States America to someone whom we know not only to be innocent, but to be in the right. I mean, here you are trying to do the right thing by your country, the right thing by yourself and your wife, and you're treated this way. I just think we have to reserve the, the, the time to allow ourselves to be astonished and sick. And we can't just say, well, that's the way things are now and. Well, the worst part about it, of course, is the tip off to CNN, so that they're there to capture all of the action. In other words, I was arrested at 606 a.m. They marched my wife out of the house in her bedclothes, made her stand in the middle of the road in her bare feet to make sure we got good camera shots of all that. At 611, a producer from CNN,
Starting point is 00:21:15 my lawyer to tell him that I've been arrested. He doesn't know that yet. She then subsequently texts him my sealed criminal indictment, which isn't unsealed by a federal magistrate until 9.30 that morning. This is at 612 in the morning. And there are no annotations or court markings on this document, but when you look at the meta-data tags, you have the initials of the man who wrote it, Andrew Weissman, Mueller's deputy. Therefore, there's the proof that he leaked it. How else did she get it? By the way, that's a felony in itself, for which, of course, he will never be prosecuted. So the whole idea was to create this media circus, not only to pressure me or humiliate me and my wife, that failed, by the way, but also as a warning to others that you
Starting point is 00:22:00 needed to cooperate and roll over when we pressure you. It was also a gigantic mistake because I'm not the most sympathetic fellow in the world. I'm a hard-boiled political operative. My life has changed a great deal since then, but I'm still not a sweetheart, you know, I'm not a pushover. But they made me a sympathetic figure by the manner in which they arrested me. I would have turned myself in. And had I done so, I would not have raised a penny for my legal defense. I mean, look, I lost my home, my car, my savings, my insurance, and my livelihood, because for 18 months, I wasn't allowed to come on a program like this and talk on any subject, sartorial, culinary, or otherwise. So,
Starting point is 00:22:42 Overnight, they gave me the resources I needed to fight this evil. And they brought attention to these bully tactics, which I think the American people do not like. And by the way, that's what I perceive as happening. In other words, that the left, the deep state, the authoritarian's, they are unhinged, and they are acting in such a way. They're overacting, overreacting in such a way to reveal their evil. We'll be right back talking to Roger Stone. Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain.
Starting point is 00:23:26 I'm often asked that question just the other night. I was asked that question. Well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal. That's right, designed to heal. And I agree with them. And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients. And each one of them helps your body deal with inflammation.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway. That's the point. So approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such wonderful relief. If you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain from exerciser, just getting older, you should order the three-week quick start discounted to only 1995 to see if it'll work for you. It has worked for about 70% of the half a million people who've tried and have ordered more on one of them. Go to Relieffactor.com or call 800 for relief to find out about this offer. Feel the difference. In case you haven't been paying attention, the Biden administration has caused a financial crisis and they have no clue how to fix it. Oil prices have skyrocketed. And when oil prices go up, the cost of transportation and shipping spikes leading the prices of goods to rise.
Starting point is 00:24:34 And when we're already seeing record inflation, that's the last thing we need. Our economy is in trouble and you need to take steps to protect yourself. If all your money is tied up in stocks, bonds, and traditional markets, you are vulnerable. Gold is one of the best ways to protect your retirement. No matter what happens, you own your gold. It is real, it is physical, it's always been valuable since the dawn of time. Legacy precious metals is the company I trust for investing in gold. They can help you roll your retirement account into a gold-backed IRA where you still own the physical gold. They can also ship gold and precious metals safely and securely.
Starting point is 00:25:12 to your house. Call Legacy at 866-528-1903 or visit them online at LegacyPMinvestments.com. Make like a Mr. Milk Toast, you'll get shot out. I am so happy to have Roger Stone in the studio in New York. Roger, I was with you last at Mar-a-Lago to hear President Trump announce that he is running for president in 2024. And I was thrilled when we were together to learn that you would be in New York. I said, you've got to come on the program, got to come into the beautiful studio, and try to wear something nice. And thank you for wearing something nice. I had to think about it a lot, but... Well, it's... I was intimidated this morning. I was in a big hurry, and I thought, oh, for crying out loud.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Roger Stone is my guest. I got to wear something. I don't know. As you know, the whole point of this is what they call spezzatura. It's an Italian word that connotes that you didn't think at all about what you're wearing. You just threw it together, and it happened to look great. Spetsatura A. Look, look, there's buttons missing. I mean, what a mess. It's a little too much spitzatura.
Starting point is 00:26:24 But honestly, there's so many things I want to talk to you about, but let's just go back here. So you have been persecuted by Mueller. What a bum. I have to tell you, these people, I just blows my mind that they have been allowed to have the power that they have had. you mentioned his deputy who would not be, you said, prosecuted for what he did. You just don't think there's any chance for any kind of justice? That's the tip of the iceberg in terms of, we're talking about Andrew Weissman, in terms of the illegal activities that he was involved in,
Starting point is 00:27:01 the erasing of the cell phone memories of all of the mother prosecutors when they're under subpoenaed by John Durham, for example. Now, if I had erased a single email, believe me, that would be. been yet another criminal charge against me. So we have a two-tiered justice system. And you see no hope for that? Well, Jesus, all things are possible. You know, I really think at this point, as a strategist, I've always had a strategy as to how things will work out. I must honestly tell you that I don't have a strategy right now. We're on God's plan. Yeah. And God's plan gets revealed to you, not all at the same time, but when God's ready to reveal it to you. And therefore, every single day, I say things to myself? Well, Eric Metaxis wants me to do his radio show, wants me to do his show.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Should I? Is that a good? Yes, that's something you should go do. Because one of the things the Lord has told me to do is speak. And that's what I'm doing. See things. So people can see things from my point of view. Yeah. This week, a total surprise to me, my Twitter page, which was banned way back in 2017, and I had 980,000 followers at that time, has been restored to me. all I did would fill out a simple form, and I really was very skeptical that anything would happen, and then boom, I'm back. This causes you to go back and look at old tweets that are now four or five years old, and I said, God, did I really say that? So I'm a different person now than I was then. I certainly need to clean up my language.
Starting point is 00:28:34 I've been working very hard at that. My wife keeps giving me pointers on that. There's a lot of things there that I wouldn't say today that I said then, and I regret saying. There's a lot of things I say then that I'm glad I said, and I would say again tomorrow. But as Richard Nixon, my first boss said, always look forward, never look back. And therefore I'm grateful to both to Jesus Christ, who I praise publicly on this point and Elon Musk for giving me my voice back. And I intend to use it judiciously. And let's be clear, Jesus Christ created Elon Musk.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Now, he created all things. That's the point. I think that is correct. but let's just touch briefly on your coming to faith because there are certain people, my friend and hero Chuck Colson at the top of the list, when he came to faith, just kind of like when you came to faith, many people said, are you kidding me, the White House hatchet man, he's too much of a hardcore activist.
Starting point is 00:29:34 And there's just, you know, he's using this, you know, to get leniency. or something like that. But in fact, no one came to faith more genuinely than Chuck Colson, devoted the entirety of his life from that moment on to serving God. And I knew him. And there's just no question of the great depth, not just of the reality of it, but of the depth of its faith. And talking to you, I'm thrilled to see the same thing. This is not some cavalier thing. You see things differently as one must if one comes to faith. Well, I guess to a certain extent, I'm going through the same thing that Colson went through. He was a hard-boiled political operative. People said, oh, come on. That's a head fake. That's a pose. That's a, that's an attempt to get
Starting point is 00:30:21 leniency or to get public sympathy. You know what? I don't really care what they think. I only care what he thinks. God knows what's in your heart. And I struggle with it every day. I'm still learning the Bible. This is all kind of new to me. And sometimes you have to read the same verse a couple times before I get the full meaning. Or ask people who know more about it than I do. Like my friend Myra Adams, for example, knows an enormous amount about the Bible. It's written several, two great books
Starting point is 00:30:48 and a great column at Town Hall about how to read the Bible. But it's sincere because at this point, if you didn't believe in God, then there would be nothing but fear. Faith has to overcome fear. This country is in desperate, desperate trouble. This is not Republicans versus Democrats.
Starting point is 00:31:07 This isn't liberals versus conservative. This isn't some simple squabble over a little mess of pottage or federal patronage. This is an overall epic struggle between good and evil, between dark and light, between the godly and the godless. These people are not just liberal Democrats with whom we have some philosophical disagreement. They don't want to just beat you in an election. Eric, they want to destroy you if you disagree with them. Yeah, and they want to destroy liberty. And as I keep saying, I mean, you wouldn't know it because you're not listening to this program.
Starting point is 00:31:36 but I say it everywhere I go around the country. I say it here. We're living in a clarifying moment. The evil is becoming more obvious. And I think lots and lots of people who maybe aren't people of faith are looking around and thinking, you know what, this doesn't make sense in the normal way. I think this is evil.
Starting point is 00:31:56 I think we're dealing with evil. Normally they wouldn't use those terms. But I think if you're honest and you're perceiving what is happening, there's no other category. Starting point is 00:34:18 Welcome back talking to Roger Stone. Roger, I like you. I like you, and I want you to know that. And I've enjoyed talking to you. And really nothing blesses me more than when I find that someone has genuinely come to faith. Because, you know, there are a lot of people I claim to be Christians. And then you dig a little deeper and you realize, well, I don't. know, they're, they clearly have not met the living God and they, they don't get it in the way
Starting point is 00:34:59 that God wants them to get it. You, after a few conversations made, made, it became very clear to me that, that you have had genuine life transformation. You take this seriously. You, you've been through all kinds of hell, not least your wife dealing with cancer. Yeah, I think that's a PTSD from two and a half years of a struggle with the full force of the federal government. And almost immediately after my pardon, she was diagnosed with very aggressive stage four cancer. And today I'm happy to tell you through the healing power of Jesus Christ, she's now 19 months cancer free. I can't, I mean, that is a big deal, because I remember talking to you way back when this first happened. And, you know, again, if you claim to be a Christian, you have to believe in actual miracles. It doesn't
Starting point is 00:35:50 mean that God does them whenever we want, but he does them. And you and your wife have experienced this, like, genuinely. Well, the doctors told us this was not possible. I mean, actually, when she went back in to be retested after the course of treatment, which she chose, they said, well, there's something wrong here. There's no cancer. We must have mixed your test up with somebody else's. They actually said this. I love this kind of stuff. This is why we're doing this on a miracle Monday, ladies and gentlemen, because these stories need to be told. Roger, forgive me, but I just, there's so many people that don't, they can't comprehend that this is possible. You are a sharp guy. You know what happened. You're telling me the doctor said, we mixed up the test. This isn't possible.
Starting point is 00:36:37 I've had five miracles in my life. One is the commutation of my sentence 24 hours before they're sending me to a dank Georgia prison that is rife with COVID-19 where I'm supposed to die. miracle number two, the unconditional pardon given to me by President Donald Trump in an election year. Number three, my wife being cured of cancer. Number four, on the morning of January 6th, I come out, I look around outside my hotel, I go back to my room and I stay there all day. And therefore, any claim that I knew about participated in or condone any illegal action on January 6 or any other date at any other time is completely false. And then the day after the election, when I was out near Nashville,
Starting point is 00:37:26 going to do a broadcast with Mike Lindell, my driver was taking a left and we got teaboned by some guy doing 55 miles an hour, totaled the car, injured one of the two passengers with me, and I walked away without a scratch. So I have the Lord's protection. Miracles are entirely possible. I've just pointed out five of them. Well, listen, when I came to faith in 1988, my faith was not fully realized.
Starting point is 00:37:58 As we all know, you come to faith, and then it takes time. In a sense, God sanctifies us, and so we're on this journey. We cross the starting line when we get saved, to use the term, right? We cross the starting line. So some months after I came to faith, I still, and I cringe to think of it, pull the lever from Mike DeCoccus. But the good news is that when I came to faith, I instantly was surrounded by people who lived in the miraculous.
Starting point is 00:38:29 And so I've experienced many miracles. I've written about some of them. I've spoken about some of them. I wrote a book about miracles. But I think it's important to say to people who say, oh, I'm a Christian. Folks, God wants you to walk in the miraculous. He wants you to walk closely with him.
Starting point is 00:38:45 He wants you to see that he is alive. This is not just an intellectual thing that it's like shifting over to, oh, I'm a libertarian now and I used to be a liberal. You know, it's a little bit more fundamental than that. Here are the two hardest things about faith. One is the freedom from fear. If you're staring at seven to nine years for allegedly lying under oath to Congress, which is rather disproportionate, and you've gone through what I've been through, it's very hard to not wake up in the middle of night
Starting point is 00:39:18 and think it's all going to happen all over again. You read the January 6th committee is investigating you, even though you know you've done nothing wrong, I didn't do anything wrong the first time, and they still fabricated crimes that I allegedly was guilty of. And only through absolute faith can you abandon that fear. The other great challenge, frankly, is to realize that vengeance is reserved for the Lord.
Starting point is 00:39:41 As someone who's half-Cicilian, the old Roger Stone would want revenge on a long list of characters. Many of them in the media, I might add. But today, I've forgiven them all. There's one guy testified falsely at my trial, perjured himself at my trial. He's quite prominent. I was very angry about it for a long time. I was very bitter. Today, I've forgiven him.
Starting point is 00:40:03 It's not the easiest thing to do. So once you realize that the bad guys will get theirs, but it's not up to you to make that judgment or deliver that. punishment and that the Lord will take care of that, then you can download all that bitterness and all that anger and all that revenge lust. That's been one of the hardest things, but I've achieved it. It's frightening to think that the God of the Bible is even more Sicilian than you are. It's a frightening thing. He invented Sicily, ladies and gentlemen, keep that in mind. Well, listen, what you say, again, if somebody doesn't understand these things, you know, you just talked about
Starting point is 00:40:39 forgiving the unforgivable because God commands you to do it. When you actually do that, you realize, well, God must be alive in me because I know I couldn't do this in the natural. I couldn't do it. It doesn't make any sense. But God gives you the ability to do that and to trust in him. And when you talk about the fear thing, you know, one of the reasons I'm always yapping about my faith is because I say to people, you don't understand how wonderful it is to know that God is real and that you don't need to live in fear. That he is bigger than anything that comes against you. he can do anything. And even if he allows you to go to prison or allows you, he will walk with you.
Starting point is 00:41:15 He created us to live that way. It's not like extra credit Christianity. That's like the most basic thing. And so many people miss that. They don't live that way. And I want to say to them, you're missing it, folks. This is the only way to fly. I put it another way.
Starting point is 00:41:29 You know, it keeps me going the knowledge that someday I will live in heaven with my parents and my wife and every one of my dogs. that's what keeps me going, knowing that at the end of the day, it all has a happy ending in him. All you have to do is keep the faith. And therefore, in those moments when you are depressed or angry or frustrated or, worst of all, fearful, that's the thing to remember. And it's true. It's actually true. We'll be right back talking to Roger Stone. I'm talking to Roger Stone.
Starting point is 00:42:31 We're talking about faith. We're talking about your story. And right now, you were reinstated on Twitter. I was clearly, I never had as many followers as you by a long shot, but I was clearly being suppressed on Twitter. It was obvious like around January 6th, you know, 2021. I lost 25,000 followers, which was like, you know, 25% of my, and it never went up again.
Starting point is 00:43:01 It was the most bizarre thing, never went up again. And then some months ago, something changed. I think when Elon Musk was talking about something changed, and I was able to sort of accrue followers again. But to see what has happened, I mean, we talked about the despicable FBI, the militarized government agencies. the collusion with big tech, I mean, you and I know we're facing authoritarian evil that we've never seen in this country, frankly. And what is your sense of where we're going? Do you have hope? Well, first of all, we can never succeed without the ability to communicate. If you cannot communicate to each other and everyone else, then you can never galvanize or mobilize the people on the side of right,
Starting point is 00:43:54 which is why they seek to control all communications. Donald Trump could never have been elected in 2016 without a free, fair, unfettered internet because network television was against him. Cable television came around. This idea that Fox created Trump. No, Trump created Fox. Fox covered Trump because when they put him on their ratings sort,
Starting point is 00:44:18 when their ratings sort, they could charge more for advertising, so that was an economic decision. And by the way, they tried Marco Roald. Rubio and Ted Cruz first, and those pigs, those dogs wouldn't hunt, as they say. So they made an economic decision. And the networks built Trump up prior to the nomination, only to try to tear him down once he was nominated. They made the mistake that Jimmy Carter made. Jimmy Carter actually wanted to run against Ronald Reagan. That guy will be a pushover, Hamilton Jordan wrote. Oh, yeah? So communications is the key to everything. And now you're going to be able to go to Twitter.
Starting point is 00:44:54 and you're going to be able to pull down your file based on what Elon Musk announced yesterday, and you're going to be able to look at the actual evidence of the fact that they were shadow-baining you and how they did it. So I gained 125,000 followers in the last 24 hours. I'm choosing my words very carefully. But I'm gratified to be back. There are other great platforms, by the way. I like truth social, even though it's self-limiting.
Starting point is 00:45:20 When you're a platform for conservatives or Trump support. orders or Christians, well, then anybody who is not those things is not going to go there, unless they're going there to harass you. And there's some of that. GAB is the Wild Wild West. You have to be, you have to really believe in free speech. In other words, the whole point of the First Amendment is to protect speech that you and I might find really repugnant and disgusting and obnoxious. But people have a right to say those things if you really believe in the First Amendment. I also like telegram. I'm not a big fan of Getter. But frankly, it's better to communicate with somebody than to communicate with nobody. And I'm very gratified. I'm very grateful to Elon Musk.
Starting point is 00:46:06 And I did pray about this. I filled out a form and I prayed. That's how I got back on. People say, well, you must have lobbied. You must have pulled snow. I filled out a form and I prayed about it. And it happened. That's how it happened. Well, I'm glad that it happened. I, My radio program, the Eric Metaxa show, which we had on YouTube, was completely wiped off of YouTube. Huge hit to us financially and in other ways. And so Elon Musk and Twitter gives me hope that some of what has happened is coming to light, that we're going to see more and more truth coming out. And by the way, stick around in hour two more with Roger Stone.
