Starting point is 00:00:09 Welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show. It's a nutritious smoothie of creamy, fresh yogurt, vanilla, protein powder, and a mushy banana. For your mind? Drink it all down. It's nummy. I wub, vanilla. I wub, I wop, I wap, I wap, vanilla. Here comes Eric Metaxus.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Hey, hey, hey, hey, folks, it's July 29th, they tell me. Tuesday. Chris Heimes, am I getting that right? I always want to be clear. Is it Tuesday? Yeah, you're getting it right. Fortunately,
Starting point is 00:00:44 it feels like the summer and you may feel the same way. I just feel like it's flying by. It's awful. Yes. That's about how I feel. It's flying by. Now, listen,
Starting point is 00:00:55 we have coming up, ladies and gentlemen, this is exciting. I got to tell you, whenever I get Roger Stone on the program, it is exciting. He has the ear of the president of the United States. He's known him for, he says 50 years.
Starting point is 00:01:12 We're going to ask him about a lot of stuff. We're going to ask him about, oh, I don't know, the mayor's race in New York City. I came up with the idea of calling Mamdani or Zoran or whatever his name is, calling him the Ayatola. And Roger Stone has picked up on that. he has a daily program on WABC in New York, 77 WABC, and he's been calling him the Ayatola. I just find that funny, but also unfortunately appropriate because Mbondani or Zoran or whoever he is, is, you know, he's not just a tremendous fraud, but he's going to destroy New York City. And let me tell you, anybody thinks New York City's already destroyed, you don't live there.
Starting point is 00:02:03 It is not. It's a wonderful city. But this guy, it's, it's bad. It's bad. So we're going to have Roger Stone on coming up in a minute. He's going to be talking about everything. You know, Steve Bannon. He's got a feud with Bannon. I don't know if that will come up in our conversation. We'll see. But it's kind of weird. All right. In our two, we have our new friend Rod Martin coming up. He's phenomenal. I love Rod Martin. We'll play that for you today. Later on in the week, of course, we got John Zmirak. We have Steve Hilton, who's running for governor in California coming up. I want to remind you, actually I want to remind you of a few things before we get to numbers, two, three, and four. Let me tell you, number one reminder, we have an emergency in Texas. The floods in Texas over the July 4th weekend not only took the lives of many people, as you know, very tragically, but destroyed the lives of people who did not die. But their lives have been destroyed. Their homes have been destroyed.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Their businesses have been destroyed. It is a real struggle. So local churches have partnered with food for the poor. Food for the poor is partnered with churches. and they came to us and saying, Eric, this is an emergency. This is disaster relief. We need your help right now. Please ask your listeners to help us right now.
Starting point is 00:03:38 So to those of you who've already helped, God bless you. Thank you. If you haven't yet, this is an opportunity to do something dramatic for dramatic situation. So the easiest way is to go to metaxistocococ.com. Metaxistalk.com. That's our radio website. And at the top of the page, Metaxistock.com, you will see the banner. But if you prefer to call, we have a phone number. I'll give you the phone number.
Starting point is 00:04:09 If you'd prefer to text, I will give you the text. But while you're getting your pencil and paper, I want to play a report from, there's a TV news report in Texas that talks about what's going on right there. So let me see if we can play that. Here we go. The debris is still slowly being removed along the Guadalupe River. And the many volunteers who rushed here are helping residents cope in ways both big and small.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Just tons of people helping out. Homeowner of Greg Adkins, whose home was badly damaged, has literally been surrounded by fellow Texans coming to lend a hand. Those volunteers offer hope, comfort, and relief. Well, if you want to help, when something like this happens, people say, I want to do something, even if you give $50, $50 buys a relief package. That's, it's, I mean, any debt can make. I hope you can give more, but anything you can give, $20, just, it takes a moment for you to do that. So I'm going to give you the phone number right now. Again, this is food for the poor.
Starting point is 00:05:20 We trust them. We work with them. a number of things, but this was an emergency. They came to us. They said, please, we're rushing emergency relief kits to ease the crisis that faces these flooded out. Residents, can you please help us? So I'm asking you to help.
Starting point is 00:05:36 The phone number, here it is, 844, 863, 4673. Again, 844-864, 863, 4673, 4673, 4673. if you'd like to text they'll send you the link you can text my last name metaxas m-et-a-x-a-x-a-s. Text metaxus to 5-1-55-5-5-5-5. That's metaxis to 5-1-5-5-5. The link will come up. Again, you can go to metaxis talk.com and the banner at the top of the page is there. But it's an emergency, folks.
Starting point is 00:06:22 This is an emergency. This is not like an ongoing thing. They really need help right now. You can imagine what they're going through. And so they wouldn't reach out to us if it weren't an emergency, genuinely. So please do what you can. God bless you as you give. Let me remind you that we have a super sale going on at ericmetaxis.com.
Starting point is 00:06:44 That's my website, ericmetaxis.com. If you go to ericmetaxis.com, there's all kinds of stuff there. but the super sale, my newest book, Religionless Christianity, which would make great beach reading, is $10. This is the hardcover. In it, I talk about, you know, well, where we are. We're in a spiritual war. I talk about this being the third existential crisis in American history and how it is the role of the church significantly. If you're some kind of a Christian, you're the church. And it is up to we, who claim to be Jesus followers to lead the way in this spiritual war, which is also a political war and a cultural war.
Starting point is 00:07:31 So the book, Religinalist Christianity, you can get it hardcovered $10 at Ericmetaxis.com. I also want to remind you our Christmas gala, the Socrates and the city Christmas gala, the date is December 2nd in New York City. Last year was just everybody kept saying, This is magical. It's magical. Can you feel it?
Starting point is 00:07:53 It's magical. It was. It was amazing. So it's December 2nd. You cannot buy tickets until September, but please save the date. December 2nd, New York City. Also, we have a patrons dinner in New York City. September 18th.
Starting point is 00:08:10 September 18th, we have a patrons dinner. Socrates and the city patrons dinner. If you go to Socrates and City website, there's all kinds of stuff there. I should also say if you want to get autographed copies of my books as gifts, go to the Socrates and the city website, but there's all kinds of other stuff there. Some of you know we've started this thing called Socrates Plus, and there are all kinds of fantastic features at Socrates Plus, all kinds of stuff that we're working on new stuff that's there. And Socrates Plus is just $4.99 a month to be a full member. So some of this stuff is
Starting point is 00:08:50 available free, but if you want to be a member, it's $499 a month. I recommend it to you. And Chris Himes, I'm sure there's something that I'm forgetting now. This is the problem. I'm always, I want to have a moment. Well, I would just add that, you know, if people go to Socrates in the city and sign up for Socrates Plus, that's a great way for people to watch live. It's cheaper than buying tickets and a hotel in New York City or some of the other places in the dorm. So it's, it's, it's, and there's a lot of new stuff that's coming out, new conversations. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Your daughter, and not a lot of people probably know this, but your daughter is, is the content genius behind Socrates in the city channel. So lots of really cool new content that's coming out regularly. Yeah. And stuff I can't yet talk about, but that we're working on behind the scenes. So but check out Socrates in the city. It's just, you know, when you want to get away from the news of the day and kind of feed your mind. Socrates in the city, the YouTube page, obviously has all the videos,

Starting point is 00:13:10 It is always my joy to have my friend and brother Roger Stone on the program. Roger, welcome back. Eric, great to be back with you. It's hard to know where to start. Actually, maybe it's not so hard. We yesterday in New York had a truly horrific shooting. The shooting for people murdered comes at a time when the man leading the Democratic Party nomination for mayor has called to defund the police. Among those just killed a cop.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Mamdani is a real danger. I know you've been on top of this. So before we get to national stuff, on some level, this is national. What do you think? Well, several things. First of all, yesterday, New Yorkers got a taste of what it will be like when he's married. Because a man who opposes cash bail, a man who says that violence is a social construct. which leads me to believe he intends to fling the doors of Vikers Island open and let everybody out,
Starting point is 00:14:31 a man who would defund the police, as you point out. Crime is already up in New York. Eric Adams has cleverly cooked the statistics. I could prove that to you. We don't have time for that right now, but take my word for it. And Mamdami is one who I think is soft on crime. What you saw yesterday was just a small taste of what will happen when he becomes mayor. And then there's his economic views, which are very simple.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Every problem New York has fiscally can be solved by taxing white people more. He said it. I didn't. He's the one who said it. He's tried to back off it, but we know what he meant. This guy is an economic disaster. He is promising free everything, free bus ride. free health care, free this, free that.
Starting point is 00:15:25 But somebody, Eric, is going to pay for that, and that somebody are the hard-pressed working-class taxpayers, and perhaps even the wealthier people of New York, except for there's going to be one problem. They're leaving. They're going to leave the minute this guy becomes mayor. I was at a gathering that Patrick Bet David had last night. There were a number of people there from New York City,
Starting point is 00:15:47 all of whom told me that they were in town to scout real estate. because they're moving here if he becomes elected mayor. You mean down to Florida where you are? Yes, I'm in Florida. So the guy is a disaster. There's only one very sad saving grace. This isn't good for the people in New York or the people who live in New York, but by 28, New York City will be a flaming wreck.
Starting point is 00:16:14 It will be a disaster. It'll be a ghost town. But those few people who are left are going to be suffering greatly. And it will be a national laboratory. It will be a showcase for the rest of the country as to what happens when you
Starting point is 00:16:31 elect a Marxist mayor. I mean, it's almost funny because the pejoratives, the adjectives, you don't know where to start. You say Marxist, that's true. Pro-crime or soft-on-crime, dramatically. I mean, that's even...
Starting point is 00:16:48 Soft-on-crime is not He's practically pro-crime or he's certainly pro-criminal. But if that's not enough, he is pro-Hamas, pro-globalized the Intifada. Laura Lumer has very bravely or accurately, I should say, because she's always brave. She has particularly accurately talked about his bona fides with the Kill the Jews crowd. This is in New York, which Jesse Jackson infamously called Heimittown back in the 80s. It's pretty bizarre, is it not? You know, I had dinner with Laura Lumer last Friday night in Washington, D.C., and I said, Laura,
Starting point is 00:17:37 you got to quit mincing words. You got to tell us what you really think. You got to speak up. No, she's great. She's really great. Very proud of her. We've been friends. He has, I mean, I was.
Starting point is 00:17:49 I mean, I was upset when she was attacking our friend Charlie Kirk for allowing Tucker to speak, although I'm not happy that he did because Tucker has really drifted dramatically. But it's not like Laura doesn't have a point. And I'm concerned, really. I'm concerned about Tucker and I'm concerned about voices Candace Owens' most prominent who. we thought of as on our team, but who are opening the door to, let's call it what it is, anti-Semitism, I think is the accurate term. Well, I disagreed with her that day. You know how Laura is.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I think I got 15 text messages in one day complaining about Tucker Carlson, and my response was consistent. You hang out with Steve Bannon, Epstein, Associate Steve Bannon. So cut the crap. Wow. I see now, I wasn't prepared to go here with you, Roger, but I have seen, I don't know Steve Bannon well, but you're, you've strongly attacked him. Why? In other words, I see him as. There's two reasons that I'll try to make his brief as possible. He testified before the House Intelligence Committee. He was asked specifically. He was asked specifically. Did you ever talk to Roger Stone about WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, or these allegedly stolen emails? He said, no, never.
Starting point is 00:19:29 Adam Schiff in the chair. On no occasion, Mr. Bin, no, never. Then at my trial, he's asked the identical question, did you ever talk to Roger Stone about WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, or these allegedly stolen emails? Yes, Stone brought it up in every phone conversation we had in 2016. I consider myself, I considered Stone, our access point to WikiLeaks. Now, that's what's known as perjury. You cannot say two different things under oath.
Starting point is 00:19:59 I took a polygraph test, two of them, on that narrow question, and I passed. So, Mr. Bannon plunged a knife in my back when I was struggling for my life. That's my fundamental problem with him. Add to it his lack of hygiene, that's another issue. And then, of course, the fact that he was out regular at Jeffrey Epstein's home in New York and his place in Paris. I can't think of any reason why you could justify hanging out with a, at that point, convicted pedophiles. Some of who have been convicted of sex crimes in Florida. And he has 15 hours of videotape of an interview that he did for a documentary.
Starting point is 00:20:49 with Mr. Epstein. And according to Michael Wolfe, who's not the most reliable of individuals, he was coaching Epstein for his 60 Minutes appearance, trying to help the child sex trafficker appeal more likable, friendly or less threatening, going so far as to say, if they ask you about the underage girls, say, well, they looked very young, but they were actually technically of age. So Steve, who I refer to as Stinky Strait, Steve, needs to come clean. He needs to release that video
Starting point is 00:21:23 and needs to explain what he was doing associating with someone like that. I mean, to me, just because you're a friend of mine, my real question is why do you think
Starting point is 00:21:33 he would have, as you say, stabbed you in the back at a time when you were struggling for your life? What could the possible motivation or explanation
Starting point is 00:21:44 of that be? I don't get that. What is, what would he gain by doing that? Perhaps. do away with a political rival. I mean, look, there have always been, I've known Donald Trump for
Starting point is 00:21:55 50 years. He hates it when I say that, because it makes us both sound really old. But throughout that in time, he has been very great about our friendship. I've always been able to get him on the phone. I've always been able to talk to him. He's always been willing
Starting point is 00:22:10 to listen to me. I'm not claiming that he always takes my advice. He's his own man. As you know, March is very much to his own drummer. But there's always been a group of people around him were upset about the fact that I can get through to the boss. So I think he saw me as some kind of rival.
Starting point is 00:22:30 In all honesty, in 2016, all he did was follow the meticulously written campaign plan that Paul Manafort left behind and implement that plan. But as you may recall, he was famously on the cover of Time magazine with the title Trump's Brain. There is a one-way ticket. to a political obscurity? I was going to say that's not, that's, that's, yeah, Dick, Dick Morris and, it's, well, look, I guess at this point, he, he has been talking about Steve Bannon, a force for good, as I see it,
Starting point is 00:23:11 in the MAGA movement. I mean, he has tried to hold the president, well, We're going to go to a break here. We'll be right back, folks. I want to remind you, we're doing a campaign with food for the poor. There is an emergency call for help because of the floods in Texas. There are people suffering right now. Their homes have been lost. I've told you all about this. Please, folks, today, go to metaxistalk.com. You'll see the big banner, help Texas. Metaxistalk.com. This is an emergency in a couple of weeks. There's no use in trying. They need it right now. So please go to metaxis talk.com. Please take this seriously, folks. Metaxistock.com. You'll see the banner. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Welcome back. Talking to Roger Stone. Roger, we're talking about Mamdani. We're talking about I want to just wrap things up with Steve Bannon. He really has been very strongly pro-Trump, pro-Maga stuff. We're all on the same page in most things. So I guess I don't understand why there needs to be. I get it.
Starting point is 00:24:30 It's like, you know, if I had two of my children whom I love kind of fighting, it would upset me very much. Like, that's the way to hurt me would be for my kids to be fighting with each other. Not that you're a kid, far from it. But I don't know. I don't know what's going on. I'll just let you respond however you like. And then we can move on to other things. You know, Eric, the Bible teaches that we are to forgive those who have trespassed against us.
Starting point is 00:25:02 It's actually the single hardest thing about being a Christian, particularly when you're Sicilian. And yesterday, when I made a comment about Steve Bannon, somebody said, well, that's not very, what part of Christianity is that? I said, that's the Sicilian part. That's the eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth part of. Christianity. So I have forgiven him, but I haven't forgotten. Yeah. And I continue to comment about that because, look, they were trying to put me away for seven to nine years when I'd done nothing whatsoever wrong. Think about this moment. He lied about the Russian collusion under oath. He lied to protect Donald Trump in the Russian collusion. That's what the judge said. How can you
Starting point is 00:25:52 lie about something that never really happened? How can you lie about something that was the greatest single dirty trick in American political history? Nothing less than the use of the full authority the United States government and the incredible capabilities of our intelligence agencies to use two pieces of falsified evidence, the steel dossier, and the false claim that the Russian intelligence had hacked into the Democrat National Committee through an online hack, neither one of which is true, both of which are entirely discredited. So it is the greatest single abuse of power in our history. And now the question is a simple one, which is now that they are completely busted, thanks, I think, only to the persistence of Chelsea Gey.
Starting point is 00:26:50 I can just tell you internally, there were elements of the government, elements of this administration, who fought these disclosures because they would damage the institution. Or at a minimum, they favored the shallow most revelations. In other words, leave out the gory details. She has, I think, delivered here in spades. She is sure-footed. She knows that. She knows that. the material. She is poised in her presentation of it. This is going to come out in tranches because she anticipated that once she told the shocking truth that the perps involved, Obama, Biden, Rice, Comey, Brennan, and the rest of this criminal cabal, they would deny everything. They would deny everything. So then she'll drop off another load of material, proving that she's right. And then yet another and another. So,
Starting point is 00:27:50 There's more bombshells coming. It was really funny to watch John Bolton yesterday. This guy said, she's imagining things. She's imagining this. I said, really, dude, the way you imagine the Iraqis having weapons of mass destruction, the way you and Dick Cheney and W imagined Iraq be involved in 9-11, I think you were the guys with the active imagination. One of the most fascinating things in recent years is seeing people that at least I foolishly thought were on the same team reveal themselves to be who they are, which is to say not even slightly on the same team.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Bolton is one of them. By the way, he looks like the shaggy DA, and I think that mustache, it's either concealing a youthful tattoo that he doesn't want the world to know about or it's just a cry for help. But Bolton is one of these that it's staggering, really, that with all that's at stake, I mean, we had Kamala Harris running for president against Donald Trump. And I thought, can't these people understand what is at stake? Couldn't Mike Pence and George W. Bush get behind Trump to make sure that we don't destroy the nation with a Kamala Harris presidency? And they couldn't.
Starting point is 00:29:12 And they're still bitter. And Bolton, of course, he's only the most recent example. Well, the problem, of course, is you operate from the premise that their goal is what's best for the United States of America. And that is not their goal. Their goal is their own power, their own wealth, and some one-world government view that they would like to impose upon us. So they don't have the same criteria or requirements or goals that you and I have. So people need to stop thinking in terms of Republicans and Democrats. That's not a divide in America today.
Starting point is 00:29:53 This is a division between those who favor war. They favor censorship. They have no regard or belief in God. They would like a big farmer to run wild as long as they're profitable. And then there's the people of common sense. There's Republicans, Democrats, independents, libertarians, people who are non-political, but who are just waking up to the fact. that our country's at danger, they're on the other side. That's the great divide. The good news is
Starting point is 00:30:21 that there's far more of us than there are of them. And we are united behind Donald Trump, the most improbable leader you could possibly manage. Imagine a New York real estate executive who emerges over 16 better-known, more experienced politicians. It's, they were, nobody was prepared. Nobody was prepared. And I praise the Lord daily more often than daily for Donald Trump. We'll be right back talking to Roger Stone. Welcome back. We're talking to Roger Stone. And Roger, what is your sense of where things go from here? I have talked to people, I have to say, I've been stunned at people who are completely unaware of what Tulsi has dropped. And what I have said, and I always say, tell me if I'm missing something. This is by far, by far, the biggest political scandal in the history of the nation. 250 years of our history, there is nothing to compare to the president of the United States using the powers of the government to subvert the will of we the people. It's somebody, it's plunging a dagger into the heart of Lady Liberty. It does, I'm not exaggerating.
Starting point is 00:31:50 That's what this amounts to. I guess my question. to you is where do you see this going? Because there are a lot of people have become very cynical. They don't think anything's going to come of it. What do you suppose is going on? Well, this is a question for Attorney General Pam Bondi. They have given her in these declassified documents, they have given her multiple crimes. She has the ability to impanel a grand jury and charge people with seditious conspiracy and perhaps even treason. And it's, This isn't complicated. It took them, you know, 48 hours to begin charging people in the January 6th hoax.
Starting point is 00:32:31 So this really boils down to the will of our attorney general and the deputy attorney general. Now, we don't need a strike force. We might need a special prosecutor. I wouldn't be opposed. Although a special prosecutor would have to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate in order to be, legitimate, legally legitimate. That's okay with me. Somebody said to me last night, well, who could do that job? Well, there are two possibilities. Former Congressman Bob Barr of Georgia, former U.S. Attorney for Atlanta, former work for the CIA. Back in the days when the CIA had
Starting point is 00:33:11 a legitimate mission, he'd be excellent. Or David Shone, the criminal defense lawyer, although he once defended Donald Trump in the impeachment, and strangely enough, was had agreed to defend Jeffrey Epstein, because in our country, everybody, even the most heinous criminal, is entitled to a criminal defense. Epstein killed himself before that legal representation could take place. But there are many good men who could. I mean, we keep saying, you know, it's up to Pan Bondi. I can't help but think that President Trump may have a personal interest in this, and he may be directing people behind the scenes. Do you not think that that's possible that he has said this is important for the nation, and I want justice done? I just can't imagine that Pam Bondi's all alone trying to figure out what she wants to do.
Starting point is 00:34:15 He certainly has the full constitutional authority, since she works, in the executive branch to direct her to bring these prosecutions. Yet when I saw him for breakfast, not last Sunday, but the Sunday before in Washington, he said, you've got to stay on Pam Bondi. You've got to stay on her. I said, Mr. President, with all due respect, she works for you. You're the one who needs to stay on her. I think that will happen.
Starting point is 00:34:46 I think he'll fulfill his constitutional. Well, look, it's, I always. say, this is not about Donald Trump. This is about the survival of the United States of America. And every America needs to know. This is not about vengeance for Trump. As Trump has said, President Trump, they were trying to get at him to get to us. He's the only one standing in the way. But ultimately, if Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Rice, and company are not held to account, that's bad for America. It erodes the Republic dramatically.
Starting point is 00:35:24 At least that's how I see it. Well, and unfortunately, it also means it will all just happen again. Look, even to this day, thanks to the great work of Laura Lumer, there are people still in our government. There are still people who still have security clearances who are involved in the Russian collusion hoax. What do you make of that? What do you make of that?
Starting point is 00:35:45 How is that possible? Whoever is doing the vetting has not done the job completely. Let me get this straight. There are many, many great men and women in this administration. This is from Robert Kennedy to Marco Rubio to Tulsi Gabbard, who we've talked about. This is an all-star cabinet, even across the board. I have no criticism. The president has put together a great cabinet, and they're all committed not to their
Starting point is 00:36:16 personal agenda, not to their personal political agenda. Every one of them is committed to the president's agenda, the America First agenda. So at that level, I think he's doing an amazing job. But the problem is that beneath that level, at the mid and lower levels of all these apartments, they're still riddled with holdovers. Some of them are careerists. That doesn't mean they're not Trump hitting leftist. Others are still political appointees. I think, frankly, we've been a little slow in filling these positions. Yesterday was pretty good news. They're going to move in the Senate to try to move at least 100 percent of the president's
Starting point is 00:36:59 nominees, I guess, in a recess appointment. I'm not, recess appointments. I'm not an attorney. I can't explain to you exactly how that works. But if you're Cash Patel, for example, you have 100 people. people at the top of the FBI who are loyal to you, but beneath that, you have many people who are holdovers from the Christopher Ray regime. He's working, I know this, because I saw him recently, very, very diligently to clean the agency out. But it does take some time to identify the
Starting point is 00:37:33 quizlings and to remove them. Thank you for using the word quizlings. What did you think that this information that Pam, I'm sorry, that the Tulsi Gabbard released recently would come out as it's come out? I mean, this is such a bombshell. What was your sense of how that was proceeding before it came out? That was a struggle. The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rick Crawford, very good man, had been struggling with the executive branch over declassification. of a number of these documents. And there is a great commonality
Starting point is 00:38:15 between what will be in the House Intelligence Committee report and what Tulsi Gabbard has used her authority to release. As you probably saw, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, ostensibly a Republican, is fighting to end Tulsi Gabbard's authority to declassified documents as well. Forgive me, Roger, going down. to a break. We'll be right back with Roger Stone, and let me remind you folks, the folks in Texas
Starting point is 00:38:44 need our help right away. Please, if you can help, go to metaxistalk.com. Metaxistocotocon. You'll see the banner at the top of the page. We need your help. We're talking to my friend Roger Stone, talking about national things, talking about New York City. Roger, you have not yet publicly admitted that I was the one that said that we should call Mamdani the Ayatollah, but you did think it was a good idea, which to me is the greatest compliment ever. But I really, when I think of Curtis Sliwa, I think he is the one who could properly tag Mamdani or Zoran, whatever his name is today, as the Ayatollah, because he is dramatically anti-Israel. I mean, he's a real danger on so many levels.
Starting point is 00:39:48 We say he's a Marxist. That's the least of it in some ways. But calling him the Ayatollah, it kind of fits. And that's to me, Trump's genius. When he comes up with a name, it sticks. It's amazing. And I rarely do that. But it does strike me that Curtis Lewa would be the guy coming out of his New York accented personality that it would stick.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Maybe the post would use it. Well, I looked at a poll the other day. one of my own design. I got one of my clients to pay for a thousand sample, likely voter poll. And what amazes me is that Eric Adams is toast. His net unfavorable rating among New Yorkers is 69%. Never seen that. 49% very unliked, very unfavorable. Another 20% somewhat unfavorable. Never seen that in my entire 50-year career in American politics. Andrew Cuomo, the guy who put COVID patients into the nursing homes, he was up there with a 58% unfavorable rating. That was 38 unfavorable, hard unfavorable, very unfavorable, another 20% somewhat unfavorable. Curtis Lewa, about a 48% unfavorable.
Starting point is 00:41:08 That's 20 years of being on radio at 77 WABC and talking about controversial things. The Ayatollah Mamdami was only at 32%, 36% unfavorable, which means not enough New Yorkers understand what this guy's really about. I think a lot of his younger voters, they're buying hope and change. I mean, it sounds great. It's going to be great. I mean, bus rides will be free. Health care will be free.
Starting point is 00:41:40 You'll be able to, you know, steal anything you want because there'll be no police. The police are being defunded. we don't have to worry about cash bail anymore. He's going to do away with that entirely. This is, and of course, higher taxes on the working people, and anybody who's really productive to pay for this cornucopia of free stuff. So it all sounds great, but, of course, it's a prescription for disaster. I honestly think with the opposition split three ways,
Starting point is 00:42:14 and none of those gentlemen intending to get out of the race I think that is Mamdami's victory for the Ayatollah I think is very, very likely unfortunately. Now if you, let us just say
Starting point is 00:42:31 hypothetically, Methusel, I mean Chris Cuomo, I mean Andrew Cuomo, pardon me, got out of the race, his vote redistributes so that one out of three of his voters goes to
Starting point is 00:42:44 ma'am Dami because he's a Democrat. It doesn't solve the problem. In fact, I still think in the end of the day, Mam Dami will get a greater percentage of the vote than the three challengers combined. The guy who has no path to victory, the guy who has no shot whatsoever and should get out, is Eric Adams.
Starting point is 00:43:07 That ship has sailed. That's the highest unfavorable for a politician I've ever seen, in any poll in the 50 years I've been in American politics. I want to drag you over the border into hour two of the Eric Mattaxas show, and I will. Folks, in the meantime, asking you again, go to metaxis talk.com, click on the banner. We need your help. The folks in Texas need your help. It's an emergency.
Starting point is 00:43:35 That's why we're asking. Thank you.
