Welcome to the Eric Metaxus show. It's the show featuring Go-Go-Go the chimp. Nothing like a chimp to liven up the radio show.
Easy there. Go-go, go, go. No, go-go! No! Go-go! No!
Folks, welcome back. This is that moment when I give you very encouraging news. I think we need to encourage each other. We need good news. And our friend Robert Netsley at Inspire Investing comes on here to tell us what is cooking out there in corporate America. Okay, Robert, first of all, welcome. You're the head of Inspire Investing. And in case people don't know who you are and who inspire investing,
is you guys hold corporations to account.
If they're pushing woke policies,
you challenge them on it, you try to get them to change.
And for listeners to this program,
you try to help your average person in America
who has money invested in some fund or whatever
to let them know,
is your money helping fund wicked ideas
ideologies that are antithetical to what we believe, most people are unaware of this.
And so the first thing I want to say before I give you a chance to talk is, folks, I want you to go
to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. They will give you a free report on where your money is.
Are you involved in helping a company that refuses to take your value seriously or that's
working very hard, many of them are, to undermine your values with your money. You need to know,
you've got to go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric, inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. You get a free
report, free. Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric. So Robert Nestle, there's good news about tractor
supply and lows. Tell us about that. Yeah. Yeah. So many of your listeners may have
I refer to the news in the recent months.
Tractor Supply and Lowe's both made very public announcements rolling back.
Their DEI initiatives, rolling back, a lot of the CRT trainings, et cetera, et cetera,
that had become so problematic in those organizations and many others.
Our coalition, ourselves, you know, we're faith-based asset managers.
We have a network of aligned financial advisors around the country.
We manage about $3.2 billion of assets.
assets in a biblically responsible fashion. And part of our, a big part of our work is
speaking biblical truth to corporate power. And so we've been involved in pushing back on
tractor supply and loads and many others, along with friends like Robbie Starbuck and
others who's very public platforms, you know, have resulted in these companies making, you know,
these total about faces firing the whole department based on, you know, these like woke
DEI kind of quotas for hiring and, you know, really discrimination, essentially,
giving jobs to people based on the color of their skin.
I mean, it's a bad idea.
We want to move back to meritocracy.
We believe that, you know, those who have the best results should get the best job.
And no matter what color of their skin is, what their sexual preferences are, I mean,
those things don't matter when it comes to doing a good job, right?
And so we want these companies to stop putting the finger on the scale.
And we're celebrating tractor supply and lows because they've made a very good decision.
And as such, they've earned positive scores in what we call our Inspire Impact Score methodology.
They've been previously excluded from our portfolios because of how egregious things were going.
And now they have earned those positive scores and we've rewarded them by putting them back in the portfolio.
So we want to reward good, punish evil.
And like this is a great like full circle story that's, it's really.
wonderful. So that's the story with tractor supply and most. I think the shock for most of us,
I remember I was following Robbie's Starbook on X. And to see that tractor supply had been pushing
woke lunacy, you think tractor supply, really? And I think we see this over and over that
corporate America, a lot of times they just go with the flow and promote evil either without
realizing it or without caring or without understanding. So if there's no pushback,
that's just what they're going to do. So thanks to you guys, thanks to Robbie Starbuck, other
voices, they're forced to deal with reality. In other words, you want to keep pushing that
garbage, go ahead, but we're not going to help you. We're not going to shop there.
We're not going to invest money there. And again, that's what you and I are talking about right
now is how many of us have our money in some fund someplace that is promoting lunacy, woke lunacy,
DEI, whatever. And so the idea that these companies that we would kind of assume would be okay,
we're all waking up to this idea that, no, corporate America has been taken over by woke lunatics.
And unless we push back, that's where they're going to go. So you've had real success here.
So I want people to know if they want to go to find out more,
they can go to Inspire Investing.
That's the main website.
But if you want to know, folks, whether your money is being used to promote companies that
are pushing things antithetical to your values, you can find out you get a free report
by going to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric.
This is a free report, folks, to help you know where your money is and what you can do
about it.
and the folks that Inspire want to help you.
So if you go to InspireAdvisors.com
slash Eric, they will give you a free report.
They'll help you figure this out.
If everybody in America did this, it would be a game changer.
You realize, Robert, I mean, that's why you are such a warrior.
If people who have their money in these companies would take it out,
it would change the world.
It would absolutely change the world.
So I want everybody to go to inspireadvisors.
com slash Eric, folks, you got to look into this. Robert, just 60 seconds left. Final thoughts.
Yeah, I encourage you guys because, you know, you can earn, I mean, there's no reason to sacrifice financial
returns, nor invest with good values. You can do both of them at the same time. We can help you do that.
And it's important. You know, if we're just willing to, I am, you know, some secular mutual fund
and keep our money in these companies, they don't care how much we complain on.
social media necessarily if there's no teeth, you know, behind that. So we've got to put our money
where our mouth is. That's what we do. That's what we help you do. And it's having an impact.
So I just encourage to just don't just sit there and nod your head and say, hey, amen.
I mean, take some action. Get in the game, you know. And millions of people are doing it.
And so join us. We're making it easy, folks. Go to inspireadvisors.com slash Eric.
We all have to get involved more in everything. And this.
This is one of the most important things.
Where your money is.
It's God's money.
What is it doing?
InspireAdvisors.com slash Eric.
They'll send you a free report.
There's no strings attached, folks.
This is to help you do God's will with your money.
Inspireadvisors.com slash Eric.

Welcome back to The Eric Metaxis show.
And if you listen to this show, you know that I like,
talking about the miraculous that's been an interest of mine my whole life and when I came to faith
around age 25 I thought wow this is real I've lived in a world that pretends that God is some
kind of option like the spiritual realm doesn't doesn't actually exist and I realized uh guess what
that's wrong so what a bizarre thing to realize you're living in a world of lies that that pretends
that this thing that's real is not really real, but it is real.
And so I wrote a book about it eventually called Miracles.
I talk to people about it all the time.
I've experienced the miraculous,
and I have become friends with many people who've experienced the miraculous.
One of them is Ryan Bethay, who is my guest right now.
Ryan, welcome back.
Hey, thank you.
And I want to applaud the biggest miracle, which is you pronounce my last name correctly.
I think you're the only host.
recent memory to do that. So thank you for adding another miracle to my already copious amount.
It was a Rima. It was a Rima word of knowledge, because flesh and blood hath not revealed to me
the correct pronunciation of your name. It was a spiritual thing that happened just now.
Ryan Bithay, there it happened again. Wow. It proves God is real right there.
That's the end of the interview. I mean, obviously, we're done. Anytime I can talk with Eric
Metaxus, too, that is sort of miraculous in of itself. You know, I- It's miraculous because I don't
like you that much. I just don't like you that much. So it is kind of miraculous. All right, listen,
seriously, I wrote a book about miracles, but you have been doing a lot in recent years in the
miraculous. So it's as important as to me, it is to you. And you have a show coming up on CBN
coming up in April. I guess we'll get you on in April to talk about that. But you've got a podcast.
So just tell my audience about your experience with the miraculous.
Yeah, for sure.
Well, thanks for having me on, Eric.
And again, I am not a miracle worker by any stretch.
And, you know, I also start with the basic premise to you that just being alive is obviously an incredible miracle.
I think something we all take for grand is the fact, the fact that you and I are on a, you know, talking to each other right now that we are alive.
We didn't ask to be born.
We're here in this crazy thing called Earth, live in life.
I mean, every day is a miracle.
And I think it's important people, like, realize that.
that because sometimes the conversation on miracles is relegated to tumors disappearing or the dead
being raised, et cetera, which again, I have not seen the dead raised personally or anything like that,
but what I have seen is stuff that does defy coincidence, stuff that, you know, any just, I think,
rational person will go, this seems to suggest there's something else going on upstairs, and I'm
excited to bring that. So yeah, we have a new show coming out with CBN and in partnership with the
Museum of the Bible. And essentially, CBN, as you know, does phenomenal work. They've got decades of
stories from the 700 Club of miracle stories of people surviving tragic accidents, people who were
declared dead, and then people nearby got a word of knowledge to pray for them, and suddenly they
sat up in their beds alive, totally baffling doctors. And then you've got miracle stories, which I'm
also very passionate about, which is no less miraculous, people who were married and then had affairs,
divorced, get back together and are now flourishing, or people who just needed the grace to get by
in the most difficult time, or people who needed a little financial help, prayed, closed their
eyes, and in the mailbox the next day was a paper bag with some money that said from you know who.
I mean, this stuff is...
I want to say, folks, you know, to plug my own book on miracles, I wrote that book because I
thought, people need to know this is real.
people need to know it's not just some crazy person who's not good at explaining himself and maybe
something happened but who knows this stuff is real and so in my miracles book i give what made me
just think of it ryan is that one of the great stories in there it's two great friends of mine
who had their marriage torn apart and it was miraculously restored when i say miraculously
restored. If you read that chapter in my miracle's book, you'll know I'm not speaking metaphorically.
I don't mean like, oh, it was an amazing miracle that they got back together. No, the way that God
orchestrated that in their case was completely miraculous. It involved my friend Lisa had a vision
of Jesus. I mean, there's stuff that is so astonishing. And these are, you know, buttoned up,
you know, wealthy Connecticut people that they don't get into that weird stuff. It was, it's just an
amazing story and there are all these different kinds of stories and that's the point it's it's like
what you were saying right it's not just oh a tumor that disappears or whatever it's everything it's all
kinds of stories um and so i you know i wasn't really planning to plug my miracles book but since i
mentioned it uh you can the the cheapest place you can buy it uh this goes for a number of my books
is go to my store dot com and use the code eric for some reason the hardcover is very inexpensive at
my store.com if you use the code, Eric.
But I just want to encourage people.
Folks, this is real.
This stuff is real.
So, Ryan, let's keep going.
You've experienced quite a bit of this.
You've done a podcast on deliverance, on exorcisms.
So, you know, you're just a normal guy.
I know you, but you're open to this stuff.
Totally open.
And I will say, I'll back up.
Your book is phenomenal.
I like many of your books, but your Miracles book was phenomenal.
And I appreciated how you did include miracles in there, too.
I think there was even a story of someone.
someone finding their keys. It was either keys or a ring or something. And it was, yeah. So as an
example here, and again, I'm again, I have not seen a tumor disappear in front of my eyes. I've not
seen the dead rays. Like, you know, so I come out all my productions as a producer with skepticism,
because I do think, too, that we are not supposed to be running around obsessed with miraculous things
happening. We know, especially as Christians, that, you know, that those miracles when they happen
are gifts. But we also know in scripture that when people experience,
mighty moves of God, that is not any guarantee of lasting intimacy. I mean, how many times did God do
miraculous things through Israel? And, you know, several chapters later, we're back to the same problems as we had.
And so I do want to say that's, I recognize that. But let me give you a little quick example of
something that is really exemplary of what I have, like, experienced myself. But I have a dear friend
who contributed to story that we'll have on this upcoming show. But he was at a camp and he was at a Christian
camp and they were doing an assembly and he just felt in his spirit he was supposed to go outside
and miss it for a minute so he went stepped outside get some fresh air and there was a girl there
that he just suddenly had and you talk to christians sometimes they'll share this experience they
were on my heart like they he just suddenly was met with this empathy and this like wow this person
lord i just pray for them right and he felt like in his spirit not a voice from heaven the clouds
and he just said four leaf clover you're supposed to find her a four leaf clover and as we know four
with clover is a little tougher to find, right? So he starts wandering out in this field looking for
a four-leaf clover. And then finally he finds one. And so he grabs it. And he goes up to the grove off
the assembly and says, I'm so sorry, this may be a little weird. I know we don't really know each other
well, but I just want to give you this four-leaf clover. And she, you know, of course, starts bawling
and goes, how could you know? And he goes, what? She's like, I was praying. I felt so unseen by
God in my life. And I ask God, would you just show me how real you are and that you love me?
Would you have someone bring me? So I get emotional. Thomas, but would you have someone bring me a
four leaf clover? And you go, okay, what do you make of that? What is a, what do you say? Is that a
really interesting coincidence or is that just the fact that they're going to be used to.
Yeah, no, look, look. This is what's so interesting. And I've become very bold and confrontational on
this. If you think that's a coincidence, you don't think very well. You don't,
You don't, you don't, but I mean it because I've heard there are stories that if you blow that off as coincidental, you are not thinking clearly.
I'm going to be blunt.
You're not thinking clearly.
That's not.
Now, I can think of all kinds of ways to try to minimize what happened there.
That's not a good one to say, oh, it's coincidental.
You're talking about something that is, it's like two BBs meeting in mid-air, two bullets meeting in mid-air across the Grand Canyon.
I mean, the odds of it are ridiculous that somebody gets this bizarre feeling.
I mean, how bizarre is it to begin with?
I got this weird feeling.
I got to find a four-leave clover for some girl.
What is that?
I mean, try to explain that naturally.
And then he actually goes and does it.
And he brings it to her and she starts bawling and says, I mean, logically speaking,
if you're some kind of an atheist or you don't believe me, you got problems, folks.
You got a big problem because that story there, you either have to believe.
leave. I mean, here's a plausible explanation. The guy who told this story is a flat out liar.
That is a plausible explanation. Sure. Like if you want to say that, okay, that's, we can talk about
that. But I know that. That's the best part. I know this. That's the point is that that's why I wrote
my miracles book. Everybody in there, I know. I think one person came through a friend. Everybody
else I knew personally, and I said, I know these are not liars. So you got to
problem, or at least if you believe me, that I'm not going to put liars in my book. So that's story
right there. But Ryan, the reason I'm dilating on this is like, I've heard many stories like this. I've
had stories like this happen to me. There's a story like that that happened to me. I never wrote about
it. And I'm not going to tell it now, but it's very similar to what you just said that happened to me.
And I think, folks, there are, you know, this is Occam's razor. You know, you can kind of go out,
way out and look for some crazy explanation to explain it.
Or you could go with the basics.
Like, you know what?
Probably there's a God.
Probably there's a realm outside the physical realm
and that God gives us access to that sometimes.
And mind-blowing stuff can happen.
Absolutely.
This is exciting.
People should be excited about this.
Folks, be excited because God wants you to move in this stuff.
It's real.
We'll be right back.
is just a good vibe.
Teach your children.
Welcome back, folks. I'm talking to my friend Ryan B-T-H-E-A.
Ryan, you've got this thing coming out in a TV show on CBN next month,
and we're talking about the miraculous.
So you just told this amazing story about this young man.
Do you have another story like that?
Of course. I got all sorts of stories. But no, I, you know, because obviously you brought up a good point. Okay, you know, I'm going off someone else's testimony. And again, to your point earlier, too, I'd say, I mean, how many people do you have to hear who you know and trust who's have something like this happen in their lives? And sure, some stuff could be coincidence, of course. But how many stories like do you have to hear before you go, okay, something's happening? Now, okay, my story doesn't prove it's God, but it proves, I think, that there's something else happening. So the same individual who shared this story with me also
played a role in a really cool experience I had.
And it's a lengthier story, which, you know, I'll bury the lead like you did with yours,
but I'll give a teaser.
I was in a really difficult season.
And I remember I had had a pretty interesting experience, which I thought, hey, you know what?
This might be a coincidence.
I had someone give me a word earlier, and I thought, you know, I was hiking off in the wilderness
and I met this family, and they gave me this word.
And I thought, well, that seems pretty weird.
Like, whatever.
No, wait a way, wait a way.
I just want to be clear.
I know, first of all, people listening to this program can tell you're a Christian,
because you said I was going through a really difficult season.
You didn't say period in my life.
You said it's going through a difficult season.
If Christians use the words, if somebody used the word season, probably a Christian.
If they say countenance instead of face, probably a Christian.
This is Christian jargon.
But you just said that somebody gave you a word.
There are tons of people who don't even know what that means who are Christian.
So what you mean is someone comes up to you and says, I think God said this to me for you, right?
Yeah, in that sense.
Yeah.
So I hadn't, and again, it's a great story.
but also I had an experience like that.
And to put, oh, they're Christianese.
Thank you for stewarding our time so well.
It's another buzzword right there.
You're welcome.
But so I had this experience while I was hiking and I called a couple of friends and I said,
hey, do you think this is God?
And they're like, yeah, it sounds like God for sure, man.
I was like, great.
So for a week, I was riding high going, wow, God spoke to me,
answered a question I had about a big decision I'd make.
Well, like many miracles a week later, you forget.
And you're like, well, whatever, you know, Mava's a coincidence.
You rationalize.
This is human nature.
You will tell yourself this, you know, whatever.
It was silly.
So it was actually Easter morning.
So coming up on, I think, a six-year anniversary of this.
So Easter morning, I wake up and I said, you know, that was a coincidence.
Like, yeah, whatever.
I'm not going to base a decision off some random, you know, circumstances, you know.
I was like, I got to make a decision here.
And I said, unless someone calls me and tells me that was you, God, I'm not going to listen to it.
And I do not recommend as a prescriptive measure giving me.
demands to this if there is a creator of the universe he doesn't probably respond well to that
you know posture so i said that pulled out my pen to write in my prayer journal and i's my phone
buzzes and i was like i got to turn it off because i'm praying check the phone it's this interview
says hey i'm so sorry i was praying for you this morning and i felt like god wanted me to tell you
that what happened to you when you were hiking was not a coincidence it was god and i went well i said
that's when the lord god drops the heavenly mic
Yeah.
Okay, I think we're done here.
I mean, it's, look, it's unbelievable.
It is, this stuff is, it's just so amazing.
And it's funny, Ryan, because again, I know you, and you know, you're a sharp guy.
You've got a sarcastic sense of humor.
It's why we're friends.
And, you know, we are, we're not suckers.
We're not gullible.
I mean, I don't want to believe something if it's not true.
And I have to say, I've just had so many experiences like this.
and I know so many people.
And again, I put many of them in my miracles book.
There are tons that I didn't put in my miracles book.
In the story of my life, my book, which is called Fish Out of Water, there's a story in there
where God spoke to me through Robert Plant, the lead singer for Led Zeppelin.
There's a story in my book.
This stuff is just nuts, folks.
It's just nuts.
And I just want to challenge people to say, God is real.
He speaks in all kinds of ways.
and, you know, things can happen that are not of God, things that might seem miraculous.
It could be a demonic thing.
You know, people say, oh, an angel appeared to me.
It's like, well, was it sent by Jesus or was it a demonic thing pretending to be?
There's a spiritual world out there.
God wants us to have wisdom.
He wants us to understand how he speaks, what he sounds like, what his voice sounds like,
or whether it's him or just a coincidence.
Because I've heard people tell me stories that God said this.
And I go, you know what?
To me, that just sounds like a coincidence.
To me, that just sounds like you're kind of, you're bending it to make it sound like God.
I don't know.
God is usually clearer.
But anyway, this stuff is important.
It's very important.
But I mean, you have experienced God, Ryan.
What you just said, that's, it's almost scary, isn't it?
Like to get a text like that that you throw out this fleece.
There's another Christian word.
I put up a fleece before God.
You put up a fleece.
Okay, Lord, if this was you, then somebody needs to come into my life and tell me it was real.
It's like the four-leaf clover thing.
Like, it happens.
Now what do you do?
You just stand there dumbfounded.
Oh, yeah.
It was a holy moment where I just felt really, and again, I want to be clear, this is not a normative thing for me.
Like this was, and, you know, and gosh, my biggest shame is I didn't save the, you know, how many phones you go through every couple years.
And I wish I had saved it because I was just so awestruck.
And it wasn't like the person knew every specific, but it was like, hey, I see you in the wilderness.
They were using that kind of Christian.
I saw you in the wilderness.
And they knew nothing.
I mean, this person hadn't talked to them in two months.
It's like, I saw you in the wilderness and it was like recent and I saw you asking God, like,
is this a coincidence or not?
And I feel like he wants you to know that it was him.
And so it wasn't like the exact phrase, but it was so close that I went, okay.
And I said, okay, I believe now.
And a cool part is I decided at that point to make a decision which had enormous fruit.
And I think one of the things, it also comes up when you hear these stories is it does beg the question.
It gets frustrating.
Why doesn't happen more often sometimes?
because there are those crazy, cool moments.
And I'm sure in your own life, too, Eric, there's times when you're like,
I wish God would speak through Robert Plant more often.
I know Stairway to Evan has a pretty powerful effect on you now, or houses of the whole.
It wasn't Stereway to Heaven.
It wasn't his Zeppelin era so long.
It was in 1987 called Heaven Knows.
It's a crazy story.
It's in my book, Fish Out of Water.
I mean, you know, there's all kinds of stories.
Some of them weirder than others.
But all right, folks, we're talking about miracles.
Don't go away.
Folks, welcome back.
I'm talking to my friend, Ryan Bethay, which is spelled B-E-T-H-E-A.
What kind of a name is B-thay?
I am told that it is Scottish.
And I am told that you would know since it's your name.
So we're going to go with that, Scottish.
I think so.
B-E-T-H-E-A. B-E-T-H-A.
All right, you have done a podcast.
It's called The Exorcist Files.
Oh, yes.
No, and yeah, it's been, we've been really blessed, man.
It's been a tremendous hit.
We were the number one Christian podcast, I think, in the country in 2023.
At least we were on the top of the charts for a long time.
And it's the wildest experience, Eric, I've ever had, just as a filmmaker and as a producer,
and obviously you are no stranger to documenting the just the weird phenomena that happened in this world.
And, yeah, and it was one of the craziest experiences ever.
I got essentially I got paired up with a priest who is just very respected in this space.
And he said,
With a Catholic priest, you're not yourself Catholic, but you're paired up with a Catholic priest
to do this podcast called The Exorcist Files, which people can check out.
Oh, yeah.
And so it takes 3D recreations and dramatizations of his most intense cases.
And these are the exceptions.
This is not everyday things.
But it was, I think we just hit a cultural moment.
It's a blend of theology and entertainment.
And the best part is I've had, I mean, thousands of people have reached out and said from all different denominations, how they appreciate this sort of ecumenical treatment that's happened where they appreciate Catholics and Protestants better understanding each other, uniting saying, hey, there's a good guy and there's definitely a bad guy.
And I'll tell Eric, the craziest thing is not only of these stories wild, I mean, Ouija boards coming alive, occult practitioners enacting curses.
I mean, it gets into mental health.
we've had on the show several respected mental health experts who have looked at the Zoom camera figuratively and said,
hey, I don't know what it is.
I don't know if it's demons, but I have seen things in that room that for whatever reason only respond favorably to the name of Jesus.
And they say very clinically like that, and it's really cool.
Well, listen, you know, this is my soapbox.
I've been saying this for years.
I want everybody in the world to know this stuff is real.
it is ridiculous that there are many people that are so brainwashed by the secular stupidity
that they think, well, I don't know, I'm too sophisticated to believe in that.
You're kind of an idiot, folks.
This is reality.
It's like saying, I think colors are stupid or I think science is stupid.
You might be stupid if you think that, you know, like really, there is something here.
And if you want to quibble about it, you can quibble.
but to just dismiss it cavalierly is ridiculous.
The evidence is so overwhelming.
That's why I speak so strongly.
It is overwhelming evidence.
And again, I mean, I'm mentioning my book on miracles.
I always say to people, if you read that book, please tell me, what do you make of that?
Like, am I lying?
Are the people in the book lying?
Or you just don't like it?
And so you have to kind of bat it away.
I know so many people have experienced stuff.
Ryan, you and I have experienced this stuff.
We know people have experienced this stuff.
So you have to be honest and say, what do you make of it?
And I think most people in the world are hungry for truth.
They're hungry for answers.
When you're going through a hard time, you want to know, is God real?
Lord, give me a sign.
Are you there?
People are hungry.
And I think we're going through a time right now where we're at the beginnings of real national revival in America, probably in the world.
real revival where people are beginning to open up. They're saying things are so messed up.
We need answers. We need healing. They're people who have experienced health horrors and they need
a miracle. And I'm just here to say, yeah, that's real. That's real. And so I'm excited to talk to you,
Ryan, about this because there are more and more people that are looking for an excuse to believe it,
as opposed to just to bat it away. And if you're still batting this stuff away, I just,
I cannot imagine why, but I would say, to quote my friend Frank Turrick, I don't have enough faith to be an atheist.
Like I've seen too much at this point.
Yeah.
It's, you know.
Well, you bring up a good point too, Eric, which is one thing when I, you know, so I approach the show, especially with Exorcist Files.
I started as a, you know, and when I say skeptic, like, I don't think he's making it up.
I mean, I've interviewed now seven, eight exorcists.
These are, you know, men who live quiet lives.
They really, I mean, in fact, to a credit, many of them are reluctant.
to come on and actually talk about these stories because they're like, hey, kid, this isn't a joke, right?
This is serious.
We have a real enemy.
You don't need to be afraid of it, but you do need to respect the fact that, and, you know, people will push back and I get emails.
Show me the tapes.
This sounds woo-woo.
How crazy.
And one, just take a look around at the world.
Like, evil's real, folks.
Like, that's, I mean, challenge me on that.
Evil is real.
And is it that far-fetched to think that if we have all these, you know, angelic encounters
and we have all this amazing miracles, is it that far-fetched to think that maybe the scriptures are true?
there is an adversary and perhaps because we live in this isolated and this is the point I was going to
make is you go around the world almost to every culture and the reality of evil spirits or some sort of
dark malevolent personified force that's a that's a of course like why wouldn't you of course you
have to deal with that here we go now that's crazy it's all just psychology and then when some of the
psychologists we've interviewed say hey I don't know what this is but you know what I sent someone and
I to the Catholic church and they got an exorcism and now they're better when all the
medications and all the therapies didn't work. In that case, you go, huh, that's really interesting.
Well, again, this is, where I keep coming out on this is, that is to say, this is reality.
This is reality. The spiritual realm is real. There is an evil part of it, and there's a part of it that's
God. And it's real. And this would be like, you know, somebody, you know, in the 17th century,
saying germs, I don't believe in germs, that's stupid.
Show me a germ.
What are you talking about?
There is a reality.
People didn't know about the periodic table a few centuries ago.
They didn't know that there were atoms.
They didn't know.
And the fact of the matter is there are things that we don't yet know about.
We have some clues.
And so we have to use our minds to try to figure out what can I know.
And when you talk to somebody like my friend Ken Fish, who's experienced tons of this stuff,
he's experienced so much that it's like a dot.
doctor who is a brilliant
diagnostician who understands
you know I see this which is probably
this or I see that it's probably that
there's just a realm
and I think it's just wonderful
to talk about it to invite
people
into it
Ryan can you stay on for another couple of minutes
absolutely okay
folks I just want to tell you if you want
to reach Ryan you got to spell his name
it's RYAN and the last
name is Bithay it's B
E-E-A, Ryan Bethay.
We're going to be talking more about this.
If you want a copy of my book, Miracles, I often say, just go to my store.com.
Use the code Eric.
It gives people hope, folks.
It gives people hope.
These stories give people hope.
Welcome back.
We're talking about miracles with my friend Ryan Bitha.
Ryan, any other stories or ideas you want to kick around here?
Well, for sure. Well, one, thanks for having me on again. I'm just so excited to talk about this. And I want people to know. I don't, you know, when I heard these stories of actresses the first time, I come at it with a skept. I mean, I love science. And science is a gift to us. And I love knowing that there's a universe that operates by natural laws. But I've now met so many people who have claimed to see, who seem to be of sound mind and unmedicated. Like, they seem to be just saying, hey, I have seen this stuff. And like, I've seen this stuff. And like, I'm.
all right, what am I make of that? But, you know, another reason, especially with spiritual warfare,
something to consider is that, you know, we have a testimony of a woman who shared her story
on our show, and it's a beautiful story, testimony of Tammy Comer. And she shares this story,
and I encourage people go listen to it on our podcast, The Xest Files, but she shares, and paraphrasing a lot,
she was ill for so long, I mean, just really struggling. And it was just such a struggle. And there
weren't answers being provided in the natural. The doctors didn't know. I mean, there were potential
explanations, et cetera. And it was only when getting prayer and treating it as a spiritual infirmity,
right, that she got total and complete healing and restoration. So at the very least, right,
and that's what some of these doctors say on our show is that even if you don't believe and you're
not ready to subscribe to this, you know, worldview, say, hey, you know, I owe it as a doctor to
offer every potential treatment to my patients. And so I do wonder how many things. And so I do wonder how many
things in life. We live in a broken world. We get sick. Of course, right? Viruses are a thing, right? But,
you know, are there things we deal with that are spiritual in nature and the rest of the world
seems to appreciate? And if only we were to take some of those things that aren't responding and
saying, hey, you know, God, I want to invite you into this and treat this spiritually. Maybe we get
some freedom because, as Jesus said, right, I came to abolish the works of the devil. I think it's a
forgotten verse. But like, that's part of his mission statement. I came to abolish the works of the devil.
and devil's done a lot of work.
So glad to abolish it.
And you know, I want to say, too, I appreciate people having the honest question of like,
why doesn't this happen more often or why haven't I seen it?
Or how come I prayed and prayed and prayed and I don't see this?
Those are good questions.
Those are honest questions.
Those are questions I have.
I get frustrated.
I have seen people prayed for over and over and over and nothing happens and they die.
You know, I get that.
that, but there's too much evidence to dismiss this. There's too much evidence. So it's good to have
questions and it's good to be skeptical. And it's kind of funny because when I wrote my Miracles book,
I asked people a lot of questions. And there were a couple of folks that had sort of miraculous stories
that didn't rise to the level of making it in the book because I said, you know what,
that could have been a miracle. But it also could have just, it doesn't sound, it's not clear enough to
me. It's not clear enough to me. And I think a lot of times maybe if you want to believe in miracles,
you make everything sound like a miracle.
Look, on one level, everything is a miracle.
Like you said at the beginning of this broadcast, Ryan,
like the fact that we exist, the fact that the first thing that I write about in my
miracles is because the existence of the universe and the earth and our lives.
And when you start looking into that, it is obviously miraculous,
insanely miraculous.
It makes, you know, parting the Dead Sea look like nothing,
the creation of the world and life.
I mean, it's insane.
So on one hand, everything's miraculous.
On the other hand, you know, we've got questions about, and so it's important to ask the question.
So I just want to make the plea to people to look at this rationally, to try to look at it rationally, not to have, you know, preconceived ideas, but just to say, I'm just interested in what is true.
It's like a scientist.
Just tell me what is true.
That's all, you know, God can stand with the truth.
We're at a time, Ryan.
Oh, okay.
Sorry.
I was going to plug your book again real quick.
the eclipse part of your book. People check this book out. When I read your little treatment of
explaining why we have eclipses and the moon and the sun, I was so my, I don't know how I miss
this in life, but the ratio of the sun's size to the earth. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, you know what?
I completely forgot about that. If you read my miracles book, that will blow your mind. It blew my mind
when I discovered it. Man, we're at a time. Ryan, my friend, Ryan Bethay, God bless you. Thanks for
coming on. Thanks for having me, Eric.
