A Texas show with your host, Eric Mettaxas.
Hey, folks, welcome to the Eric Mettaxas show. I am often just like excited because I get to talk to people that I like a lot.
I'm excited about what they're doing. At the top of the list is my friend, Sean.
Foyt, who's my guest right now. Sean, we've got to try to explain to my audience what you have cooked up. We've mentioned it in the past, but it's happening. You made a film. Tell my audience about this. I am just so thrilled that this is finally happening. Yeah, it's pretty exciting. I mean, you know, we had no idea, obviously, when we took a stand, started this movement, let us worship.
up in 2020 to hide the pandemic was attacked, ridiculed, polarized, I mean, all across America.
But yet it's funny how God takes the things the enemy meant for evil, turns them around.
Rolling Stone did an article against me in 2020 after we went to Nashville.
We had 10,000 people that showed up.
They put me on the front page of the Rolling Stone magazine, and they said,
Jesus Christ super spreader. And the whole purpose of the article was to attack Christians for gathering
to worship. Meanwhile, of course, they're cheering on protesters and the rioting and the destruction of
cities. But they're pointing to Christians being the purpose, the super spreaders of the virus.
Well, obviously, we weren't spreading the virus. We've had no outbreaks linked to any of our gatherings.
The thing that we were spreading, though, is hope and love and joy and freedom and,
and the gospel.
And so we took that name super spreader, which actually at the time I didn't even like.
But some marketing guys were like, this is brilliant.
We should make a film off of this.
And so we did.
And it comes out September 29th, 518 theaters across America, AMC, Cinemark, Regal.
Okay, wait a minute, wait a minute.
September 29th.
Yes.
This is huge, folks.
Are you listening?
September 29th, across America in actual theaters on the 29th.
Please write this down.
Now, Sean, I met you the day you came to New York.
I mean, I had heard you were in New York with Jay Coopman doing this stuff.
And I remember being blown away thinking, how did I not hear about this?
Because I live in New York, I was so excited that you'd come to New York, but I'd missed it.
And I said, if you ever come back to New York, so a year ago, roughly, you came to New York,
and that day I got to meet you.
And you filmed me.
I didn't even know this was happening.
We went to a friend's apartment, and you filmed me for this documentary you're making called
Super Spreader.
So that's the film we're talking about right now.
Yeah.
Now, in the film, I want to be clear to my audience, because not everybody, a lot of people are listening
to this most by radio.
they're not seeing the visuals.
But in the film, I'm clean-shaven.
Of course, now I have these gorgeous mutton-chop side-whiskers.
I don't know if you realize this, Sean,
but I'm being mistaken for a union general.
On the streets of New York, a man approached me,
said, sir, did we fight together in the Battle of Vicksburg
because of these beautiful mutton-chop side-whiskers?
I want to be clear, in the film, folks, you're going to see me,
I'm clean-shaven.
Like a-right or wrong.
Is this true?
Yeah, like a baby.
Yeah, like a baby.
This is in the before times.
I joke around, but I mean, that was the day I met you.
And I, you know, I maybe I've said this to my audience before.
But, you know, Sean, I'd heard about you and what you were doing.
But it's very rare that I meet someone who is a powerful encouragement and a goad to me in the faith.
And I want to say that when I saw the fire that you guys brought in the Bronx,
we went up to the Bronx to do this, let us worship event.
And I said, I haven't seen this.
You bring a tremendous fire and a joy and a hope.
Anybody who's familiar with you, a lot of people listening right now, they know who you are.
But I want to say that there are a lot who don't.
And I want to encourage those folks to go see this film because it's kind of,
we're living in a time where we need this kind of encouragement.
We need to see.
But I actually just, I have this theory that there are people like you and me
who we're traveling around with people who get it.
But there are plenty of people out to thinking,
I don't know what's going on.
And my church is really quiet.
And they need to see what is happening and what has been happening.
And that's what this film is for me is that people are going to think,
oh my gosh, I've missed this.
I want to get, I want to be a part of this.
So let me ask you, well, just two things.
I've just got to tell you, maybe you know this.
But I've been doing a lot of reading on revival history.
And every time Christians are tagged with a negative,
it becomes something that they embrace themselves and it becomes a positive.
The Methodists, John Wesley, Charles Wesley, they were mocked as Methodists.
Yeah.
They were mocked.
It was a term of mockery and they eventually embraced it.
And this happens over and over and over.
Jesus freaks.
Right.
The Quakers over and over and over.
So you are mocked by Rolling Stone magazine.
Some little editor there was really psyched that they came up with Jesus Christ Super Spreader.
And let me tell you, this is going to be, I mean, it's kind of like when they said to Donald Trump about fake news and he decided, okay, I'm going to embrace this term fake news.
I'm going to make it my term.
So Super Spreader, you decided to make it the title of the.
film, which is brilliant. And I've only seen clips of the film, but it's amazing. Now, who made this
film? How did this come about? Well, I was approached by Vice and Showtime and all these different,
you know, crazy left outlets that wanted to do a documentary. And of course, we knew how they were
going to tell the story. So we just thought, you know what? What if, and then I had some other friends
approached me. And they're like, hey, what if we just followed around with the camera? And we kind of
told the story and the full story, which I think is important for people to see. And, you know,
of course, you added so much depth to the film, bringing historical context and sharing your
history of what you've seen through, you know, your studies and everything. But then we also had a
lot of people that were trolls that we interviewed. We had people telling their side of the story
from, you know, how much they hated what we're doing and criticized what we're doing. We have
Harvard Theologian professors on there, a guy that ranted against me in a whole lecture,
you know, we have, and then at the same time, we have these crazy testimonies that are
undeniable of people that were going to kill themselves. And all of a sudden,
they're walking through Washington Square Park in New York City, and they throw their suicide
medicine down at the altar, and they get baptized, you know, and they leave in freedom. And so
you have this incredible journey where it's not like,
like a cheesy faith film. I mean, it really is controversial. It's raw. You see the depth of despair
in the moments that we wrestle with, but you also see the incredible breakthroughs that God brought.
And, you know, I feel like it's rated PG. It would have been R if we would have not bleeped
out, you know, this is all thanks to the protesters in their language and stuff. But I mean,
It really is. I think it's going to be a film that shows the history of how in one of the darkest periods of time in American history, God showed up with the movement, you know, a countercultural movement. And so, you know, my prayer is that people will really get rocked. And you can go to superspreaderfilm.com by the way to pre-order and buy your tickets. Again, that's superspreaderfilm.com.
and and you know right before the film comes out we're going to be together in Times Square
yeah i want to talk to let people know let's mention this really quickly and then we'll
keep you for another segment and we can talk about the details but September 25th Sunday
yes September 25th you're going to do a let us worship event in time square ladies and gentlemen
did you hear that in the middle of Times Square in the middle of Times Square
Sean Foyt is going to be spreading the germ of love and hope.
It's going to be unbelievable.
We're going to be coughing.
We're going to be just coughing into the atmosphere.
And people are going to find hope and joy and Jesus.
It's going to be unbelievable.
I will be there.
I'm making a big sacrifice to be there.
But there's no way I was not going to be there in New York City.
And after that, there's going to be a screening in the film.
When we come back, we'll give you the details.
Amazing.
Stick around. In case you haven't been paying attention, the Biden administration has caused a financial
crisis and they have no clue how to fix it. Oil prices have skyrocketed. And when oil prices go up,
the cost of transportation and shipping spikes leading the prices of goods to rise. And when we're
already seeing record inflation, that's the last thing we need. Our economy is in trouble and you
need to take steps to protect yourself. If all your money is tied up in stocks, bonds, and traditional
markets, you are vulnerable. Gold.

Tell me, Eric, why is relief factor so successful at lowering or eliminating pain?
I'm often asked that question.
The owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal.
That's right, designed to heal.
And I agree with them.
So the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients,
each helps your body deal with inflammation.
Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway.
and that right there approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such
wonderful relief. So if you've got back pain, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, or foot pain from exercise
or just getting older, you should order the three-week quick start discounted to only 1995
to see if it will work for you. It works for me. It has for about 70% of the half a million people
who've tried it and have ordered more. Go to relieffactor.com or call 800 for relief to find out
about this offer. Feel the difference.
folks welcome back i'm talking to sean foy did you hear that sean foy you don't you don't need to know
how to spell it it's f e u c ht but it's pronounced foyte go figure sean and i are such good friends
that we mock each other publicly even though we let that's because we love each other and so sean
i'm going to ask you a question that since you're my friend here's my question can you tell i'm
wearing a wig because i i know that's at least publicly that's your real hair that's not a dog
the bounty hunter kind of thing you picked up at a at a 99 cents score that's who this is who you are
you're mellow california dude all right let's get serious september 25th you are coming to new york
you and your team are coming to new york city yes time square ladies and gentlemen do you hear this
if you don't tell your friends in new york who claim to be christians or anybody who might be
interested in a freak show where people believe in jesus in time square i will be there
obviously is leading this whole thing in Times Square.
It's 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 25th, correct?
Right, yeah.
And, you know, getting this permit is historic.
I mean, I want to stress that, you know,
I feel like we talk a lot of times in church
about bringing worship and the gospel
into the heart of culture.
You can't get any more to the heart of culture than Times Square.
And so we have a permit to worship God.
I'm sure that Eric, you've probably heard
of the famous naked cowboy in New York City.
Well, you haven't heard of the worshipping cowboy.
And that's what's coming your way.
I might even bring my cowboy hat if I'm feeling up for it.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
So you guys really, I mean, this is such a cool, a cool opportunity.
I mean, I think you, you know, when God opens doors like this that are definitely
providential and a miracle, you just got to walk through.
So we're going to make the most of our opportunity, the most of our permit.
We can be really loud.
Listen, I don't want to forget.
I want to mention this because I am hoping, Sean, that I haven't even mentioned this to you,
but on September 27th, so this is two days later, we're doing a Socrates in the city event
in New York City, okay, with Andrew Claven.
It's going to be a big deal.
That's September 27th in New York City.
So obviously, September 25th is two days before that on Sunday.
I am hoping that there are people who will come to New York specifically to be there for these events.
To come to New York City, bring Jesus to New York City in case he didn't know, we need that here.
We need worship.
And I want to also say on the 25th, 5 p.m., in Times Square, we're going to be worshiping God loudly, raucously, like day.
David dancing before the ark.
We want religious Christians to cringe.
That's my goal.
Right.
We want them to cringe at our love of the Lord.
But after, like right after this Let Us Worship event,
we're going to a theater to watch the film.
Is that right?
Yeah.
Yeah, we are.
We booked a theater in Times Square.
And we're going to do a special screening right after.
It's called the premiere.
It's called the New York premiere.
Folks, this is four days before the film is released in theaters across America.
We're going to be able to see the film in its entirety, in a theater in Times Square, after the Let Us worship event.
I am just hoping that anyone who hears this will be able to be there will come and participate with us.
The worship is going to be amazing.
I mean, if you've never been to a Let Us Worship before, folks, you need to get there.
It's going to be spectacular.
By the way, I have to jump in here.
I'm going to be there, too.
Who are you?
Oh, it's Albin.
Yeah, I got to jump in here and say that too.
It's very exciting, Shalm.
Ladies and gentlemen, we've just up the ante.
Albin is going to be there.
Come on.
Let's go.
Albin, since you inserted yourself into this conversation,
I've got to ask you the same hard-hitting journalistic question.
Is that a wig or is that your real hair?
And can you tell that I'm wearing a wig?
No, it's as real.
People across America, just like looking closely,
looking for the wig adhesive, trying to see, is it a real way?
And you know what, folks?
That's between us and our maker.
It's none of your business.
Okay.
So, Sean, listen, Albin is going to be there.
I'm going to be there.
We are going to get all of our friends.
folks, I promise you.
Everyone I know that I can drag to this event, September 25th,
if you've not been to a Let Us Worship event,
John, you think this is normal.
You do these all over the country, all over the world.
This is going to be in Times Square on September 25th.
It's going to be amazing.
And we're all going to march and sing to the theater.
And we're going to watch this film.
I just, I still can't believe it.
This is incredible.
It's going to be amazing.
And, you know, I echo what you're saying.
And I think that if there's Americans out there that were like, I've always wanted to come to Times Square.
I've always wanted to do the tourist thing.
What a better reason to come than to worship God right in the heart of the city.
I have a, I mean, there's going to be a lot of really cool people that God brings there.
I have a Super Bowl winning Giants, New York Giants player that's coming that just texted me yesterday.
He's coming.
He's excited.
He's bringing a bunch of his friends.
So.
I think I know who this is.
you're not able to give you're not able to give out the the name right i can't i can't well he i'm pretty
sure that he was in the uh the choir at times square church which is i was in the choir at times
square church back in the day uh and and were you now oh yeah oh yeah yeah no i i i love to sing
i don't do it publicly with the dog the bounty hunter wig but i do privately i i i love to sing
And I just got to tell you that's one of the fun things about these events that you do is the worship is amazing.
It's real. It's real. So we're going to worship. We're going to we're going to, I mean, folks, do you understand the opportunities for evangelism? There are going to be people wandering through time.
Right. Saying what is this? What is this? And you, if you're not a brain religious jackass, you will have an opportunity to lovingly share Jesus. Because it's like you always think that somebody's going to be there that's going to drive people.
away, you know, with a jack chick track or something. But the fact is that this is an opportunity,
folks. I want to be blunt. There are people, they're hurting people that are going to be wandering
through. They're saying, what is this? Are these people real? Are these pieces real? So this is an
opportunity. And so September 25th, Sunday, Times Square, and obviously all the information is that
let us worship. Yeah, let us worship. us. us worship. U.S. And,
Obviously, the film is at super spreaderfilm.com.
So you can go there.
Like I said, it's in 518 theaters, which is every major market across America.
You can also reach out to us if like you're a church or a church or a pastor or a leader and you want to book out a whole theater.
We've done that quite a bit across America too.
It's a great evangelism tool for people out there that maybe there's lost people in your community and they won't come to church, but maybe they'll come to a movie.
And so this is an opportunity for them to really go watch a film and inexperienced power of God.
And because, you know, we have to be blunt, folks, this is a real movie.
This is not like a Christian movie that's embarrassing.
This is like a real, beautiful documentary about something that happened and that is real.
Right.
And I want to go out on a limb here and say to folks that I believe this is the beginning of revival in America, that God is going to
use this film. He's already used this movement, this let us worship movement. He's going to use
this film. Ladies and gentlemen, get ready. By the grace of God, you're going to see things that
you've prayed for for many years. We have had to go through this hell because the Lord has allowed
this for his purposes in this generation and that this film is going to be used to reach people
that could never be reached any other way. God has put this together. And so I really believe that
revival is coming and they're hurting people out there. Imagine going through what we've been
through the last two plus years without God. Imagine how painful that would be because you'd say,
what is happening? The world is ending. It's crazy. I can't live my life. People walk around
with fear and anger. So I want to encourage you folks. First of all, you know the film Super Spreader.
It's going to be available everywhere. And you need to see it and to drag people.
people to see it, please do that. Number one. Number two, if you know anybody who can get to New York,
September 25th, this is going to be crazy. It's going to be in Times Square. I promise you,
if you're there, you're going to be like, I am so glad. I got it. I promise you. I promise you. I'm
going to be there. I'm going to drag everyone I know. Can they touch your hair if they come?
Yeah, they could touch my hair, except Jimmy Fallon cannot touch my hair. But I want to say that it's going to be
amazing and after this we are all going to go to a theater and we're going to watch the film this is
four days after it comes out so this is a new york premiere i will just be psyched to meet anybody
who's there we're just going to be albin and i going to be there everybody i know we're going to drag
them there new york city and if you may some of you are already thinking maybe i'll come to the socrates
and city event september 27th it's like folks make it a road trip bring god to this godless
city. Sean, I'm just so proud of you and excited for you. I want to encourage people go to let usworship.us
us, superspreaderfilm.com. What can I tell you this is happening and God has allowed us to experience this?
Sean, thank you for your leadership, as they say. It's been great to get to know you and I look forward to
see you in a couple of weeks. I can't wait. I'm excited.

Hey there, folks. Remember the Babylon B.
Weren't they great? They still exist.
They're still great. They're awesome.
And they keep writing books.
The book I'm holding in my hand is called The Babylon B Guide to Democracy,
How to Flawlessly Rig Elections, Bribive any politician,
and crush your political enemies for good.
I believe that's all taken from a George Washington quote, by the way.
We have, as our guest, to help us understand this book,
one of the authors, his name is Joel Berry. He's managing editor of the Babylon Bee. You may know him as the co-author of the Babylon Bee Guide to Wokeness and the Postmodern Pilgrim's Progress. He's a former worship leader. Obviously, you probably read about that scandal. Joel, welcome the program.
Thanks for having me, Eric. Appreciate being back on. I love talking to any of you folks from the Babylon Bee, not just because you're funny, but because you're funny, but because you.
You are your right thinking.
You really understand what is happening.
This is what humor used to be, where people are actually commenting on what's going on rather than paddling the boat for evil.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
But so this book, The Babylon Bee Guide to Democracy, How to Flawlessly Rig elections, Bribe Any Politician, Christian Politicality for good.
Anybody who's a fan of the Babylon Bee, I'm sure will want a copy.
But what will we find in this magnificent document?
Yeah, well, this is our final.
follow up, obviously, to last year's book, which was the Babylon B Guide to Wokeness, and kind of what
inspired us to do this subject this year was the fact that the word democracy, I don't know if
there's a word in the English language right now that is often spoken with more sanctimonian self-righteousness
than the word democracy. And even so, it seems like nobody really knows what democracy is.
And so we figured that was a good target for this year, especially with the elections coming up.
Obviously, you know, the United States is not really a democracy.
We're a constitutional republic, and we wanted to kind of play with this idea that, you know,
that democracy is kind of this holy and sanctified thing that we must protect and skewer kind of the right,
the left, the middle, and how we all kind of have a part to play.
and holding up this kind of this big corrupt system that is now self-propagating in Washington.
I mean, let's talk about this for a second, the difference between a democracy and a republic,
because there are people listening right now who don't know.
And I think this is very important, folks.
I often say democracy, democracy, without in an unthinking way.
We're not a democracy.
We are a republic.
So, Joel, what is your best shot at the difference between the two and why it matters?
Well, yeah, early on in the book, we discussed the origin story of democracy. And what we say is that the origin of democracy goes back millions of years or 6,000 years, depending on how you view the age of the earth. But it started with two single-celled organisms that came upon another single-celled organisms. And they ganged up and ate the third single-celled organism. It was two against one. And that was the very first democracy.
It's really, it's tyranny of the majority, and it's something that the Constitution and the founders really were very concerned about protecting us all from.
So let's be clear, ladies and gentlemen, let's say everybody says we're going to govern ourselves, which means whoever gets the most votes wins.
If we vote for the devil or we vote for Adolf Hitler or we vote for someone who hates the idea of democracy like Adolf Hitler, the point is democracy can lead to what we call.
mob rule. It can lead to evil. So the reason the founders understood we needed a republic was they said,
we need safeguards. What if the people choose things that are evil, choose things that are against
natural law? What if the people vote against the idea that were made in the image of God and the
idea that stealing is wrong or murder is wrong? What if the people vote for that? We have to do something
about that. So a pure democracy does nothing about that, which is why we have a republic. And I just,
I love the idea that you guys use humor to help us understand this, but it's actually, it's suddenly
become very important because civics hasn't been taught for a number of decades. And there's so many
Americans that really don't understand the basics, which is why it's falling apart.
Yeah. And, you know, we do have a lot of fun with this book. There are a lot of pictures and silly
illustrations. There's a lot of false history in there. But we did try to sneak a little
bit of a civics lesson into a lot of these chapters. You will get a sense for, you know,
how the three branches of government work. We talk about the fourth branch of government,
which is the corporate branch now, you know, and really kind of try to play with this idea of,
you know, democracy versus constitutional republic versus all the other systems that have been
tried throughout history and kind of give you a bit of an education with some of the laughs as well.
I wish some billionaire would buy a million copies of this book and give it out free at every college campus in America.
We love that.
I think that that would really help.
Well, you know, obviously you'd like it because you want to sell copies of the book.
But I mean, I genuinely mean that this kind of humor will help especially younger people to understand what is wrong with where we are and what we can do about it.
But it is interesting because you really don't spare anybody in the book.
I mean, I know we have another segment, but when we come back, I want to talk more specifically
about some of this stuff.
But I'm laughing, even glancing at the pictures.
But, folks, it's the Babylon B guide to democracy, how to flawlessly rig elections,
bribe any politician, and crush your political enemies for good.
not that there's anything wrong with that.
But it is actually important that we understand how these things work.
So when we come back more with Joel Berry, who's with the Babylon B.
If you don't know about the Babylon B.
Let me just ask, what is wrong with you?
We'll be right back.

bribe any politician crush your political enemies for good.
It is loaded with humor, Joel.
Is that intentional?
Yeah, well, some of it's intentional.
Some of it just happens.
You describe our current system, what's going on in Washington, D.C.
It's inherently humorous.
So it doesn't take much.
But you guys, listen, I mean, I've said this.
Every time I have you guys on, I say this, that the Babylon B, the folks who write for it are brilliantly funny.
And the reason I say that is because, A, it's true, and B, because I'm surprised by that.
Brilliant humor is a rare thing.
So to find a bunch of people who are actually brilliantly funny, it's not a small thing.
We need to rejoice in it.
We need to get the word out about who they are and what they're doing.
And let me ask you, is there any news that you can report on that happened recently with lawsuits or whatever?
because such, it's so crazy. Babylon B, of course, is parody, it's humor, but you guys have been attacked,
and wasn't there a lawsuit recently or something came out? I can't remember.
Well, I mean, it's almost hard for me to keep up with. I mean, we were kicked off a TikTok.
We recently got let back on TikTok without explanation. We're still kicked off a Twitter.
We've been seriously suppressed in Facebook. So, you know, we're kind of fighting the battles on all fronts.
Can we believe that a comedy site,
Folks, believe me, this is brilliant comedy that you guys are kicked off Twitter.
That is so sick.
It is just unbelievably sick.
I mean, look, this program was kicked off of YouTube, but we're living in insane times
where an actual comedy site, an actual parody site called the Babylon B.
You guys are kicked off of Twitter.
You were kicked off of TikTok.
How evil are you?
Because TikTok will, and Twitter, they'll let any violence.
thing on there. But somehow you guys, man, you must be really evil. Yeah, well, being kicked off
a TikTok may be a blessing in disguise. I, you know, I don't know if it's even a good idea to be on there
at this point. But yeah, you know, it's, I mean, we, we attack the wrong targets, you know, and it's not
just us. There are other comedians that are facing the same, same issues. You know, the sacred cows of the
left are not to be questioned or mocked. And, and there are consequences for doing so. And it's,
There are consequences that we're willing to pay.
I think that our audience will always still find us, regardless of the censorship,
because there's a market for this stuff.
People are hungry for people that can speak truth with humor.
And I think it goes to, it really helps to give people courage.
It reminds people that they're not alone, which I think is really important, especially now.
Well, yes, that's the point.
Well, again, a lot of the stuff that you have in this book, actually, you're going to, you'll
learn folks. Like this is what I love about this is that it's funny, but you also, you learn a lot.
And it must have taken you. How many of you guys wrote this? This just looks like a huge,
there's so much information in here. It's amazing. Oh, man. Well, yeah, we, you know,
probably three or four of us wrote the majority of the book. And then we have an excellent
team of illustrators and artists who really filled it out. What was fun about it was, you know,
But we kind of, the content itself might be similar to what you'd find in, you know, a P.J. O'Rourke book,
you know, like his book, Parliament of Hors, if you're familiar with that one.
But it has a lot more pictures, which I think is great.
You know, that's my main complaint with any writing of P.G.O.Rourke is there's not enough
stick figures punching each other. So it was a huge team of people that brought this together.
I think we really outdid ourselves. I think we really topped what we did with the first book,
the Babylon Be Guide to Wokeness and it's just a blast.
And it is very, I just want to warn people, it's very smart humor.
You're not going to get all of it, which proves you're not a super genius because a lot of
this is, it really is.
I mean, you have the most notorious court cases.
This is the part of the Supreme Court.
And you have, I mean, what's funny to me is that you're telling the truth, but you tell it
in a way that's funny.
And so you can actually learn history, but it's very entertaining.
And then you have lesser-known Supreme Court cases.
Something tells me these are made up.
This is a famous case, pineapple pizza versus normal pizza.
That was a landmark ruling that pineapple pizza is from the pit of hell.
It's really introduced by the communist Chinese to undermine our Republican democracy.
I agree.
There's another case here that you have famous court case, Joel Osteen versus the Bible.
that's just cruel
that's just cruel
it's absolutely
loaded
with comedy
but I just love the idea
that you are going to learn
about America
and about all kinds of things
when you read it
so I really do
if you
here's a thought
folks if you're out there
if you know anybody
particularly I mean this can
this is great for any age
but if you know anybody
in their 20s
in college or something like that
get them a copy
of this
book. It'll blow their mind wherever they stand politically. It will, because it is just that funny,
Joel. And you realize humor is a weapon. When you can make something funny, you can just,
you can communicate things that you cannot communicate. It's kind of, you know, it's the way,
it's the way comedy used to be in America before we entered the dark times. Yeah. And I think of all
the books that we've written, I think this one probably can potentially be enjoyed by people on all
sides, you know, the left, the right, and the middle. I think we kind of point our canons in all
directions on this one. There's plenty of corruption and moral failures on our side as well as
the left. And so, you know, regardless of where you stand or where your friends and family stand
politically, I think everyone's going to get a kick out of the book for sure.
I just turn to the page, how to conduct an insurrection.
It's one of the, these are the tips. And it says, dressed like the hand.
and steal Nancy Pelosi's podium, deploy Mike Pence seeking robot murder hornets,
ride on Buffalo and claim rightful place on throne.
That's one thing that people are so, I mean, January 6th is such this, it's treated as
such a dark day in American history, which, you know, there were many things that were awful
about it, but there was so much comedy in that day that so many people missed.
I mean, just the guy that stole Nancy.
Pelosi's podium, the person that puts his feet up on a congressperson's desk.
I mean, there's so much to lock about.
That's democracy and action, pal.
Yeah, well, the demonization of the good people who were there that day and the incarceration
of those good people is evil.
And so you have to kind of know what happened.
Joel, I'm so sorry, we're out of time.
I've got to tell you, kudos to you.
Congratulations again on another winner.
Thank you.
The Babylon B guide to democracy.
folks you owe it to yourself to get a copy of this for some young person some confused young person
in your life. Joel, thank you so much. Thanks, Eric. Appreciate it.
One stories away. Hey there, folks. Before we go, we just want to remind you of homework.
There's a lot of homework that we ask you to do. If the dog eats your homework, we don't want to
hear about that. We want you to not tell us about that. Here's the homework.
It's a lot of homework, Albin.
I don't know if even as the teacher, I have trepidation.
First of all, folks, we need you to support our sponsors on this program.
We need your help.
Our sponsors on the program are Mike Lindell with Mypillow.com and MyStore.com.
Nutrametics, nutrametics.com.
If you use the code Eric at any of those places, we have revenue shares with them.
So it helps us pay for the radio program.
But as you know, we do not partner with people that we don't believe in.
The folks at Neutrametics and our friends at MyPillow.com and my store.com, these are heroes.
And I want to recommend them to you with all my heart.
I got to tell you, Mike Lindell, as I've got to know him over the years,
it's hard to be more authentic than that guy.
If you've ever read his biography, it's insane.
It's his story.
By the way, you can get it at my store.com and my pillow.com, but it is absolutely, if you want to understand how he got to be who he is, you almost won't believe it.
The first chapter will give you heart palpitations because of what this guy has been through.
He was, as you know, addicted to cocaine, super high functioning crazy man and genius.
But God turned his life around.
And he is now one of the great American heroes who has, he's living his whole life to try to store integrity to a voting process.
And I just want to recommend to you if you know anyone who doesn't know about my pillow.
or my store.com and to use the code Eric, please tell your friends to go to those places and to use
the code Eric. Yeah. And on top of all of that that Mike Lindell has accomplished, he has made a
great, I mean a great cup of coffee. If you have not yet tried my coffee, if you have not tried
Mike Lindell's coffee, you've got to go there, use the code Eric because seriously, it is great,
great coffee.
And it's keeping me awake right now.
No kidding.
No, it is actually funny this morning when I made the coffee,
my coffee from my store.com with the code Eric,
I thought to myself,
I'm so glad that I love this coffee.
Because, you know, when your friend does something,
you just want to love everything your friends do.
And I thought if it was kind of like,
I don't like it that much, but I love it.
It's my coffee from my store.com.
Please use the code, Eric.
otherwise it doesn't taste that good.
It's a little bitter if you don't use the code Eric.
But it is almost funny.
So your homework, of course, is to support mystore.com, my pillow.com,
neutrametics.com and use the code Eric.
Also, please sign up for the newsletter at Ericmetachis.com.
That's my personal website.
There's all kinds of information that we really never get to share with you photographs.
we have a bunch of Socrates in the city events coming up one September 27th here in New York City with Andrew Claven.
We now have one happening in Houston with James Tor, Holy Cow, in Houston on October 12th.
We'll have more coming up this fall.
It's very exciting.
A lot of stuff going on.
And I'm speaking everywhere because it's just such a busy season in my life.
But I'm going to be in Colorado Springs all weekend.
that my new book is Letter to the American Church.
And I'm speaking everywhere I go.
I'll be reading it this weekend.
So I'm excited.
I'm frightened at the thought of you're reading it.
When my friends read my books, it kind of scares me.
It's like, what are they going to think?
They're going to think, I don't know about this one, Eric.
Folks, we are grateful to all of you for being a part of what we try to do here by God's grace.
So thanks for tuning in.
