Do you like your gravy sick and rich and loaded with creamy mushrooms? If no one was looking, would you chug the whole gravy boat? Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug. Stay tuned. Here comes Mr. Chugg himself, Eric Ma, Texas. Hey there, folks, you know, we're doing a fundraiser with Food for the Poor. I said it yesterday, I'll say it again today. One of the big reasons we do the fundraiser with Food for the Poor is Guatemala. That's one of the 17 countries that Food for the Poor works in. Okay. The level of poverty in Guatemala in our hemisphere is sick. And it's something.
Starting point is 00:01:10 thing that we can do something about. So I guess I have a statistic here. It says half of the kids under five years old, half in Guatemala suffer from chronic malnutrition. How sick is that, folks? How sick is that that they're kids in our hemisphere, five-year-olds under suffering from malnutrition. In rural communities, it's up to 80%. This is horrible. And we can do something about it. and we need to do something about it. So I'm going to ask you to go to metaxistalkysot.com. If you give, for example, $100, you don't have to, but if you can, they're asking, give $100. It will feed a kid for an entire year, two healthy meals a day for an entire year,
Starting point is 00:01:55 and help their village get access to clean drinking water. We've talked about that. It's a real problem. You can save lives. So I'm asking you, please, please go to metaxistock.com, or you can text Eric. to 5155. Again, text Eric to 51555. Text Eric to 51555.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Please do it. It is my joy right now to talk to my friend Jason Jones. Jason Jones, there's no way to sum you up. I don't know what to say. Your organization is the Vulnerable People's Project. So if people want to find you, Jason Jones, they can look up vulnerable people's project. Speaking of vulnerable people, you have been helping Christians in Gaza.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Let's talk about that. Yeah, Aloha, Eric, thanks for having me on. You know, in a couple of days, I'll be in Lincoln, Nebraska with the Yazidi survivors of the ISIS genocide. And you were probably the loudest voice in the world for them in the midst of their genocide. And they think of you finally. And it's just tragic that we've gone from just sort of one ethnic cleansing to the other. In September, we saw the. ethnic cleansing of the Armenians and Artsakh, which was really just catastrophic and unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And then now I just returned from Egypt where the vulnerable people project, strangely enough, there was a religious order that we helped evacuate some of the sisters that were literally under direct Russian bombardment in the early days of the war in Ukraine. And we evacuated them in of all places that religious order sent them to Gaza. and their religious order had been in Gaza since the 19th century. So when the war started, we kind of already had a community that we knew and we trusted, and they trusted us when we worked with. And we began immediately trying to provide support, which was evacuating.
Starting point is 00:03:52 They were very committed in northern Gaza not to leave the Christians, specifically the Muslims are leaving. But the Christians are like, we will not leave. Our cemeteries are here. Our churches are here. We've been here since the first century, no circumstances will we leave. You can bury us here. And so they would only let us really evacuate wounded children and women and pregnant women. And that's what we began doing. And now, to the best of our ability, we've already brought in one truck. We've been given permission to bring 10 trucks a
Starting point is 00:04:24 month, but that gets to be a little tricky when if you go to Gaza Christians.com, that will go directly to support the Christians of Gaza. We're a strange organization, Eric, as you know, it's, we're not strange to me, you know, but I founded it over 20 years ago to serve communities that the world is forgotten. So we provide, we have armed guards and cameras that we installed after October 7th in the last synagogues in Nigeria. We guard Christian, I mean, we guard girls schools. We have armed guards out in front of girls schools in Afghanistan. And it's heartbreaking now that in Gaza, the oldest Christian community in the world, is holding on with white knuckles to not be completely wiped away for good.
Starting point is 00:05:12 I mean, I would imagine that being a Christian in a world that looks to Hamas for leadership would not be a fun thing, apart from the war we're going through right now. Yeah, I think it's when you talk to the Christians from Gaza, it's a bit of a more complicated relationship because you have a lot of different Orthodox communities, you have the Catholic community. As you know, Eric, the Middle East is so much more religiously and ethnically diverse than we could imagine even. You know, Israel, of course, has the Druze. It has the Samaritans who are actually, to me, one of the most incredible proofs of the
Starting point is 00:05:54 truth of our faith that the Samaritans still exist. You know, I call them trad Jews. Like there's trad Catholics. These are the Jews that are so traditional. They're like, no, no, we don't even trust. The second temple wasn't even the temple. But, you know, they're still there. The Sabatines, the followers of John the Baptist who never got the gospel.
Starting point is 00:06:13 They're still there. And it's an incredibly diverse community. And alliances aren't maybe always what you would think. A lot of religious and ethnic minorities have a longstanding, they would look to the Shia for protection. And prior to maybe 1948, a lot of the Christian and Muslim families for a very long time were very close and knew each other. So it's not as maybe we perceive it from here ideologically. There it's just much more cultural and communal and familial and they're just trying to survive. I'll tell you something that was amazing, Eric.
Starting point is 00:06:53 We offered the Catholic Church food first because that's where we had the greatest connections. And they were eating about 250 calories a day. I did that for one week to see what would happen. And in one week, I lost 12 pounds just doing 250 calories a day. And I kind of cheated because they ate a lot of pickles because they have no calories. So when I was hungry, I would just eat a pickle. They're not eating pickles. But I lost 12 pounds.
Starting point is 00:07:18 We offered the Catholic community, the truck. And they said, please, the Orthodox Church needs it more than us. Can you start with the Orthodox Church? And this was a community that's already at 250 calories a day. So there's that type of support. There was a Christian woman who collapsed, 18-year-old Christian woman who collapsed in the safe zone walking where she was told to walk by the IDF. She collapsed. The IDF wouldn't allow, the IDF wouldn't allow aid to be rendered.
Starting point is 00:07:46 It was actually Muslim men that went to try to rescue her and then they were shot. So it's not always the way that I think that is portrayed in the Western media. It's not as clean cut, clear cut. Yeah, I mean, it can be very confusing. It can be very confusing. But if people want to help, they can go to gazachristians.com. Did you say that's the website? Yeah, Gazachristians.com.
Starting point is 00:08:09 And, Eric, I'd say this. Right now we have, in India, we have Hindu nationalists increasing their attacks on the church. And a Christian part of India in a Christian state, where there's about 41% of the population that's Christian in the past year, almost 300 of the people. their churches were destroyed. There are only about 350 churches in this state. So we see the right in in Nigeria, nine out of ten Christians murdered this year will be murdered for their faith. Our murder for their faith will be murdered in Nigeria.
Starting point is 00:08:42 So the body of Christ is under attack. And you know, in Paul's letters, the vast majority of the time when he asks us to pray and tithe and fast is for the persecuted church. And one of the things that's broken my heart in the work that I've done is it really started in Iraq was we saw the ethnic cleansing of the first century Christian community of Iraq that was founded by St. Thomas himself on his way to India, almost a race from the earth. And not a peep from the church. I'm Catholic, not a peep from the Pope. We haven't heard the Pope say anything about the rise of Hindu violence against the Christians in India. And it's quite
Starting point is 00:09:24 sourful. So one thing that we can all do is praying fast for the persecuted church. And this is something, I wonder who was Paul talking to when he was writing his letters because they were all being persecuted, right? So, but I think if Paul could, we think of all that he went through, was mindful in his prayer and in his fasting for the persecuted church, this is something that we should do. We should remember them because so often the communities I serve say no one even knows we exist. No one is even thinking of us. And that's what leads them, I think, oftentimes to hopelessness and despair. Folks, it's just a reminder to all of us. If you want to help Jason in his efforts, you can go to Gaza Christians.com. The Vulnerable People's Project is his organization. Jason,

He has a new book out called The Dangerous Gentleman. That is just a beautiful, beautiful title. Victor Marks, welcome back. Hey, good to see you, my brother. Now, a lot of people have seen you in the film Letter to the American Church.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven't seen Letter to the American Church yet, for sure, you need to see that film. Victor is one of the special. guest in it along with his wife, Eileen, a letter to the American church.com. If you haven't seen that, folks, you've got to see it. Please go to letter to the American church.com. Tell your friends, the hour is late. We got to wake up church in America. Victor, tell us about the idea of the dangerous gentleman. What's the idea behind us? Well, I think it's to inspire and motivate young men. And man, to take a look,
Starting point is 00:13:23 I mean, a real honest assessment of where they're at as men. and to see are they fulfilling the role that God has ordained them to be. I mean, we can talk statistics all day long on how bad it is in America, but it just got to a place, as you know, we do lots of work overseas, rescuing women and children from ISIS and pedophiles and, I mean, bad guys everywhere. And I would be looking back, looking at the news of America and seeing what's happening, and it just, it sickened me. And then it concerned me.
Starting point is 00:14:00 And then I said, man, we better do something. So hence, we wrote the book to help young men and man assess and then learn some tools so that they can be both dangerous in a good way and a gentleman, which is needed in our society more than ever. It's funny. This always makes me think of the famous line in C.S. Lewis's chronicles of Narnia from the Lion, the Witch in the Wardrobe, where the kids ask about Aslan, who's the Christ figure, this lion, they say, is he tame? And the answer is no, he is not tame, but he is good. There's a wildness there combined with a profound, bottomless goodness. We've lost sight of that. That's God's idea of manhood that has been lost in the culture. So we get kind of toxic. masculinity on the one hand and then we get a feminacy on the other.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Yeah. But God's idea of what a man's supposed to be. We're supposed to be strong and gentle. There's supposed to be a wildness, but it's in the service of goodness, in the service of God, in the service of others. It's a radical thing in this day and age. So I love the idea that you've summed it up in your book title, The Dangerous Gentleman. And that's the title. Is there a subtitle?
Starting point is 00:15:23 That's it. No, it's a dangerous. gentlemen. So talk about it. It's a call for men to be courageous in a culture of fear. You, I mean, you called it many years ago that if men in churches didn't stand up and wake up and start putting their faith in action, we would be facing one of the worst crisis of our time. And we are. And I, you know, it's not that hard. I want to clarify, when people say, say, well, Dane just had a guy interviewed me the other day going, well, Victor, if she walked in a room, you know, people kind of know if they know your history or whatnot, you kind of embody this thing. I said, it's not it's not about violence, okay?
Starting point is 00:16:11 It's about capability. And we all run in different lanes. So someone like you who influences, well, millions through your, you are a dangerous. gentleman. And when I say dangerous, I'm talking about dangerous to the kingdom of darkness. That is the most, that is actually the most important thing. So we need meant to start there. The masculinity, I'm trying to encourage people, is moral masculinity. Because like you said, there is this toxic thing where, ah, a, being in chest and that, no, I think when a man is, is moral, and he's masculine, and he's capable, That actually, it's almost like a covering for women and children and the innocent.
Starting point is 00:17:01 They're drawn to that. I want to be clear, because there's some people that they don't know who you are. How am I honest to understand, you know, who you are, your background, your ability with, with weapons, with, you know, fighting bad guys? How do we sum that up when I'm talking about Victor Mark? Because I want people to know where you're coming. Just look at these hands. That sums it up. I think I just pulled a wrist muscle.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Now, listen, yeah, I've got a background of martial arts, military marine. I came from a real struggling childhood. That's what kind of propelled me and drove me. I became a world record holder of the world's fastest gunned assault. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I think you're breaking up. You became the world record holder of what? It's the fastest gun disarm.
Starting point is 00:17:57 that's ever been done. The fastest gun disarm that's ever been done. Somebody comes at you with a gun and you disarm them. Yep. So if they put a pistol to my face, it's been timed. With my hands down, them having the hammer pulled back
Starting point is 00:18:15 and their finger on the trigger, I can disarm them, take the weapon, pull them out, baggage out, and pointed back at them in eight-tenths of a second. So, and look, I say people admire you for your success, but they relate to you because you're paying. And I only got that good, that fast because of an abusive stepfather who held a pistol to my head when I was a kid. So in my mind, I said one day, no one will ever be able to do this.
Starting point is 00:18:51 and, you know, it drove me to, once I came to faith, I followed the path of God. And I ended up bringing me on over 130 missions, I think we're 19 times overseas, to rescue, recover, women and children. We got best known for hurting ISIS's feelings in the Middle East. And ISIS's feelings in the Middle East, okay. What do you mean by that? Again, some people know you, but this is stuff, folks. We're talking about a bad dude who's a deeply good dude. So what do you mean when you say that?
Starting point is 00:19:31 You went to the Middle East. Go ahead. Well, okay, I'll put it in context because a lot of people go, how many years ago was that? How many decades was that when you were doing this? And I said, well, we've been doing it for decades, but our last mission four months ago in Iraq with a small team. We rescued a girl that had been held captive by ISIS for nine years.
Starting point is 00:19:58 She had two children as a sex slave under their control, and we got her back to her family who thought she was dead. The operation, the mission, it took a six-month planning. Total five-day execution, wills down, wills up out of the country. and it's a cross between like a Jason-born movie and Ocean's 11. I had former CIA Delta, Epi, a lot of incredible former guys. And guess who the lead was to make first contact with this woman who's been held by ISIS for like nine years? It was my bride, Eileen. And when I actually, for the first time ever said, hey, babe, can I just record you getting your gear on?
Starting point is 00:20:55 And she was putting on low profile body armor, a Glock, extra mags, a dagger. When she put a grenade in her pocket, I was like, I don't think people would really understand this. Certainly not church folks, because there's so many skeptics out there. You keep it all the family. I just love the idea that the two of you are, I mean, this is amazing stuff. This is encouraging stuff, Victor. Knowing you and Eileen are doing what you do, you've been doing what you do for many years. It is so encouraging.
Starting point is 00:21:34 It is so we need to hear these stories, what you just said about rescuing this woman who was a sex slave for ISIS for nine years. I mean, there's evil in the world, folks. There's evil in the world. If you are living in a world that thinks the worst thing that happens is when somebody pronoun says your pronouns wrong, you're living in a fantasy. You need to live in the real world where there's real evil and you need real goodness, God's goodness to fight against that evil. So, all right, the book is called The Dangerous Gentleman.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Just got seconds left in this segment. But what's in the book? A lot of words. Sorry, no pictures, but it's fun, motivating stories of rescues, just like the one I told you about. My hardships, it's good and the bad. And it, you know, it doesn't make me out to be Superman repelling upside down out of that helicopter with a K-bar in my mouth. I'm just an ordinary dude that God allowed me to partake in what he's doing. I found how to get, I really did find out how to get in that stream of what God's doing.
Starting point is 00:22:44 And he has allowed me over my lifetime as a believer to do extraordinary things. And this will encourage men and young men because we, man, we need young men to be motivated, excited, challenged, and to do more than me and you, right? To do everything. It's called The Dangerous Gentleman. The Dangerous Gentleman by Victor Marks. We'll be right back. Hey, this is Eric Metaxus. Starting point is 00:25:27 His wife Eileen is also in the film Letter to the American Church. You can see it at Letter to the American Church.com. Please, if you haven't, check it out. Please go to letter to the American church.com. Victor, your book, we're talking about the brand new books called The Dangerous Gentleman. Let's talk about the gentleman side of that. You don't often hear people talking about being a gentleman. They talk about being a badass.
Starting point is 00:25:53 I mean, we're not really, we've been given this false choice sometimes, right? Like I'm, you know, I'm mean or I'm effeminate and soft. No, no, no, no, no. That's a false choice. And actually, I write about this in my book, Seven Men. I actually write about this in the forward or the introduction of my book, Seven Men, is that we have this false definition of masculinity. God's idea of masculinity is that we're simultaneously gentlemen.
Starting point is 00:26:23 and dangerous in the best sense, strong for others. But talk about the gentleman's side. Why did you title the book A Dangerous Gentleman? Well, I think the culture right now is exactly what you said. There are extremes. And you see people on social media, and they're talking about how many cars, how many women can you get, you know, how much money you have. That's not God's idea of what a man should be.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Or you got the feminine side, which oftentimes, I'll spend, speak to them, they've just given up. They've seen the toxic aspect and most of these feminine guys, honestly, were raised without a dad. They didn't, they had no one, they had no fathering Sherpa to show them the way. And, uh, and then some, you know, just have developmental illness and struggles. And some are completely demonized to be quite frank. So, you know, our whole goal is to set captives free physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The gentleman aspect, one of the best definitions I learned early on, was meekness that I heard Jesus was meek.
Starting point is 00:27:36 I said, well, I don't want to be meek. That sounds like a sissy. Until I heard a good deologian explained it, meekness is power under control. And because of my years of martial arts, jiu-jitsu karate, I used to run martial arts schools. I've gotten into, what I would say, plenty of manifestations of evil. People trying to hurt me, even recently, someone tried to kill me.
Starting point is 00:28:05 And I don't know if I even told you this, Eric, it's we've kept it kind of quiet. But yeah, someone took a shot at me over here in Colorado on my property, hiding behind a stained window at an elevated position and took a shot at. me through the window.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Now why? I definitely would say he was demonized. That's the easiest way. Why you, that was, why would somebody come after you? I don't understand. Well, we've put a lot of bad people in prison. We've made some people on this earth change their address in other countries that they're trying to kill people, you know, legally and all that.
Starting point is 00:28:47 And then just overall, I take a stand for what is right, and we just don't back down. And I think the enemy has used many people to try to hinder, destroy, or even kill me. And this was almost a situation like Chris Kyle, you know, who, and it's complicated because we are actually in a criminal case. So on the point of neatness, and I think it's a good example of what the book is, he takes a shot. It's 36 inches away from me, right through the glass window. It was tinted, so I never saw it coming. It misses my eye. Three feet away from you.
Starting point is 00:29:33 He shot at you. Three feet away from you. You just said that. Yeah, 36 inches with a pistol behind a window that was tinted. And when I came up or walked past the window and faced it, he shot. through it. I couldn't see him, didn't know he was going to shoot me. It went through the frame of the window, missed my eye by two inches. Literally, I did a video and sent him to President Trump. I posted it on my, and I just said, hey, I get it. Don't let your anger turn into bitterness. And I just said,
Starting point is 00:30:09 you know, we're not hard to find. We're just hard to kill because God's not done with us yet. I drew my weapon. I put it on them. I could have killed him. I got off the X. I could have easily killed him. Eric, and it's not hard to kill people
Starting point is 00:30:22 when you're justified in the right position, but I felt like God said don't. Because he couldn't kill me at that point. I'm off the X. He wouldn't a threat to me unless he would. You're off the X? Hold on. You're speaking in this jargon.
Starting point is 00:30:36 What does that mean? You're off the X. So you're behind a window. He comes to your house. He shoots. He misses. That's strange. range that he can miss from three feet away, just misses you.
Starting point is 00:30:46 You instantly, this is what amazes me about you, you instantly draw your weapon. You're armed. Yep. And you do not shoot back? Correct. He's contained in a trailer on our property, a small travel trailer. I walk past it, and he's elevated. He sees me, and then he fires the weapon trying to kill me.
Starting point is 00:31:12 and although it's close and he misses, which no one should have, that's proof we believe that angels exist. So to get off the X means I move out of the area where he has a chance to kill me. He fires again multiple times. I'm not in, I'm out of, he's not going to be to hit me. But I could kill him. I could definitely shoot him. And I remember going into our house, opening the door. I lean's in the living room.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I'm standing. I'm literally straddling the threshold, looking outside with my pistol, and looking at my bride. And I said, if I said, this guy's shooting at me, try to kill me. If he comes around the corner, I lean, I'm going to kill him.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Hold on, folks. This is called a cliffhanger and show business. We'll be right. Folks, welcome back. We're talking to Victor Marks, the author of a brand new book, The Dangerous Gentleman. And Victor, you're describing, to us right now how you are a dangerous gentleman. So you're telling me this guy shoots at you misses. So you now move out of his sight. You stick your head out the door. You know exactly
Starting point is 00:32:37 where he is next to your house. So what do you do? Well, I told my wife, if he comes around the corner presenting his weapon, I'm going to kill him. He'll leave me no choice. And I lean because we're a team, which is always good, she goes, I'll die 911. And she's, she made sure back doors were locked. And as I'm holding and waiting, holding and waiting, he doesn't come around the corner. Then I push forward back to where that trailer is. And I tell him, hey, man, you need to throw that window, that weapon out that window. I don't want to have to call the police because they'll smoke you.
Starting point is 00:33:18 And all I can do is hear him growl, like a demonic growl. And I thought, oh, yeah. You're in rowling. Oh, yeah. like un, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, let me let me say this. I know I was hearing God to be me power and the control just because you can doesn't mean you need to. That is an example of being a dangerous gentleman.
Starting point is 00:33:43 It's, it's, uh, and that's where, that's where people miss it because I've had people tell me, oh, I would have you ever, uh, I would have you ever, uh, I would have you ever killed them. Have you ever killed anybody? It's a pretty permanent decision. And I think the greatest moral masculine warrior wants to hear God about, do I engage? Do you want me to kill him? And I are the Holy Spirit to say, don't shoot him. Now, with that, I'm telling men, I'm telling everyone listening right now, it was almost a 20-minute time delay before the first officer rolled up. now we're in a county so I get it but 20 minutes with an active shooter thank God I had a weapon which allowed me to be prepared not paranoid I wasn't nervous at all I was concerned I'd have to
Starting point is 00:34:33 kill a man but 20 minutes and you know me and you were at a recent event and I spoke to a group of men who were I would say wealthy you know and uh and uh I told them, I said, are you men mission ready? Because they all got a copy of my book. I said, you should be mission ready for whatever God has for you at whatever stage of your life, but physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I said, some of you, I'm going to hurt your feelings, but I'm, you know, some of you are just fat and lazy. I'm looking at you. You let yourself go.
Starting point is 00:35:11 You've got wealth. You've done good. Now, if it's medical or something, I get it. But if it's just you got lazy. and I said, could you carry a child out of a burning house? Could you drag your wife out of a car accident? Could you, in any circumstance, properly defend your loved ones or an innocent person? Said, if you can't assess yourself and start moving toward getting better in these areas physically, emotionally, which may require counseling because a lot of guys have some blocks in their mind and then spiritually, there's,
Starting point is 00:35:46 there's nothing better than a man of God who's filled with the Spirit of God, who understands the war that's going on, which your film and your books speak so perfectly about, is to be able to engage. God uses prepared vessels, and you and I both know that when violence hits, 911 is not the answer. It's not going to be your answer in the immediate. it. So a little bit prepared, including medical treatment, situational awareness, how to avoid. There are very easy things. And my book helps young men and men start to formulate a simple plan. Because to me, if somebody can give you advice, but if you can't apply it, what good is it? It would, you know, it's like, ah, whatever, that sounds good for you. No, we're talking. Someone who never used to know how to fight was actually scared of fight.
Starting point is 00:36:43 and then just slowly started developing skill sets and then started training special operations guys and then next thing I know God is using me and a great team to do things I never thought I would do and lives are saved children are rescued and seems humiliated so you have trained special ops guys you said oh yeah yeah for decades for decades oh yeah how did you get uh to do that. Where were you earlier in life that you were, that you're qualified to train special ops guys? That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Yeah, either they would come to me, which would be mission-specific things certain guys had to do, or there would be small units that bring me in that I would help equip. What I'm saying is how did you get, what is your story, remind us of what is your story to where you knew this stuff that you know. Yeah, well, one, the mental aspect has ended up being one of the best. I was tortured and left for dead as a kid in a commercial cooler.
Starting point is 00:37:56 I was electrocuted. I should have never recovered from that. So resiliency is one of the main things I teach men and women. But then because of my martial arts background and my time, time in the Marine Corps. And I developed a, for me, I think it's a gift from God of non-telegraphic movement where I can hit a person between six to eight times and just around a second. And that's with empty hands or a blade. So using a blade or empty hands, and it's, it's, and I've taught different groups and teams out of the world who are fighting.
Starting point is 00:38:42 in the good fight. When Hamas attacked Israel, we were in days after. A special operations guy called me, said, are you taking a team? I said, if I get an invitation with access and placement, yes. Within days, we were heading out. And these special operations teams in Israel, I did have really great guys in the training center, brought me and my team in to start training them. and then me and one other team member
Starting point is 00:39:13 were the first Americans actually go into Gaza during the fighting. And my goal was to pray. And I did. I wasn't there to try to smoke bad people. There's plenty of Israelis doing that. But, you know, and I'll tell people, the power of prayer, as we pulled up,
Starting point is 00:39:32 I thought they were going to bring me to the northern Gaza Strip. They brought us right into the middle of the fighting. And I was like, okay, Lord. these Israeli fellas, they stayed back. We crested a hill with the full view. And now we're kidded up, right? But I will tell you.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Hang on a second. We're going to go to a break, Victor. I want you to finish this when we come back. Folks, if you're not intrigued, you're not paying attention. The Dangerous Gentleman is the book. Victor Marx is my guest. Welcome back talking to Victor Marx. The book is the dangerous gentleman.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Gentlemen, if you are not intrigued, you're not paying attention. So you're talking about going into Israel, into Gaza days after October 7th. So say again what you were saying at the end of the last. Well, we were brought there by a special team of Israeli, special forces, very, very small unit, highly elite. And because we were training, equipping, encouraging. they brought us in and, you know, I was doing a reconnaissance of Gaza, children being affected or not, but here's what it ended up being. I felt like God said the most important thing you can do when you go into Gaza is pray,
Starting point is 00:41:05 because it is a battle of good and evil. Now, folks, you'd have to be there, but actually, we have the video. So, you know, because some things in my life sound a little extreme, but we have witnesses and testimonies. But as we're standing there, cresting on this heel, looking over all this fighting, I see my Israeli buddies kind of, several of them are kind of getting back behind the berm, one staying out there. And then the Lord says, raise your hand and some pray. So I just start praying over demonic forces, the evil between Hamas and Israel,
Starting point is 00:41:41 and I'm praying, praying. And I can see the guys are very nervous. I don't know why. Maybe because we're silhouetted and we're like this. me and my buddy. And all of a sudden, and I didn't know this at the time, there was a sniper in a building in front of us shooting at us. He was fine. I had no clue. But I did hear the tracks of a tank roll out of this little alley area that I didn't see. I see the tank. The turret turns toward the building. Boom. And it drops a monster right in there and explodes the corner of that
Starting point is 00:42:18 building, the sniper fire stops. This is what they told me. I just thought the tank was hitting a building. As we're heading back from this little mission, this is really a guy, wonderful, wonderful guy, a great warrior. He didn't see him, he goes,
Starting point is 00:42:35 man, you guys really believe your faith. Just to stand up there and just pray, he says, it blows me away. I said, well, we want to obey God. That's why we're here. And you know, we helped over six, kids in Israel, and we've helped kids in the West Bank before, Palestinian kids. So God loves all the children of the world, and they're the ones that end up paying the biggest
Starting point is 00:43:00 price for war always. But yes, it's wherever a man is in his life, high school, college, work, unemployed, retired, God, man, God wants to use you as a dangerous gentleman right where you are. And I believe that with all my heart. Well, I'm in awe of the fact that you're such a prayer warrior. You do deliverance. You cast demons out. I mean, it's so interesting how some people, you know, they'll agree with this or that, but this is, you know, then you say something to go, that's too far from me. I mean, the idea that you hear from God, that you felt that you ought to pray at a moment when, a sniper is aiming at you.
Starting point is 00:43:48 But I think the thing is, Victor, that at some point, we really do trust God. It's not like, well, who knows? No, no, no. We are actually trusting God. If God tells me to pray, it means he's got me covered. And by the way, if I get killed doing what God tells me to do, that's in God's hands. When you kill me, I don't die because we got to live like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:13 Hey, one thing for the women out there, because we've been talking on all this man stuff, the power and the influence of a wife is beyond what most women know. And I remember going on a mission, and I told my wife, babe, this one is so bad. It's a good chance you could become a widow for the cause of Christ, because that's the only reason while we're doing this, but I'm going deep in the ice as territory. And I don't forget. She just goes, honey, go do the deal because I'd rather be a widow than married to someone
Starting point is 00:44:42 known as a coward. Be a godly man, go get it. That is beautiful. Folks, Victor Marks, the author of The Dangerous Gentleman, Victor. Thank you, my friend. Of course. Appreciate you.
