Starting point is 00:00:00 Folks, welcome to the Eric Mattaxas show, sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit legacy p.m.investments.com. That's legacy p.m. Investments.com. And gentlemen, are you ready to listen to a man of grace, sophistication, integrity, and whimsy? Well, so are we. But until such a man shows up, please welcome Eric Mattaxas. Folks, welcome.
Starting point is 00:00:41 We did an hour show with Jared LeMaster of the Babylon B. And he was more impressive than people said he would be. And I said, you know what? Maybe we should keep him on and continue the conversation. So, Jared, we locked the doors. Thank you. And I just said, let's just kind of goof around and continue the conversation. So honored, by the way.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Well, thank you. But you, the thing I want to do, when I, when I, first came into the studio, I said to you, I've just come from having three hours being interviewed by Jordan Peterson. Yeah. So that's why I'm a little punch drunk. Yeah. And you did an impression of Jordan Peterson. I was like, this guy does impressions. I was, I was talking to Eric Mattaxas on the phone and he says to me, that, yeah, that sounds, it's not great. Creeply, it's good enough. Let me tell you. enough? He says, I wouldn't do the hot. I wouldn't do the... You're hot? I was going to do. I just know when he says, how can... People talk about God when... If you believe,
Starting point is 00:01:49 if you believe in God, anyway, but you do other impressions. I do. You did... In the last show, you did Elon Musk. Oh, I guess I did, yeah. I didn't really intend to. Sometimes when I tell stories, I just, like, pretend. Well, like, when I tell stories about you, like, all, yeah, I don't know. that I would actually try to do it right now. But doesn't everybody think that no one could do them? Because everybody thinks that they are. Wow.
Starting point is 00:02:19 No. I don't know. Wow. Trying to think. But you do, you do, I've always loved Impressionists. Yeah, yeah. So do you do any actors or figures from history? Yeah, I mean, like I grew up to him like Christian Slater, which is like a weird.
Starting point is 00:02:34 I wouldn't get that at all. Yeah, right. Yeah. Yeah, well, you know, anyway, and I used to do... I grew up doing Christian Slater. Have you heard a sadder story, ladies and gentlemen? Yeah, I know. Yeah, whatever happened, whatever happened to Christians Slater. Yeah, no, there was, but I do a, I do a Chris Walken. That's not too shab. I have met him. He seems like a very, very creepy person. I spent time with him.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Was he creepy? And in person, he will freak you out. Yeah, I bet. Does he talk about, like, torture chambers and stuff? He will freak you out, man. he talk about? And then he'll dance. Yeah, does he stare at you in the eyes? And then, no, I met him in person. We spent some time together. I didn't get a picture with him. Okay. But I got a picture of him with my dog. Oh. Because my little dog, Georgie, climbed up onto the sofa behind him. Oh. And I snapped a shot. So I got a picture of Georgie and Christopher Walker. So he was at your house. But you, no, this was someone else's house. But you brought your dog there. But you brought her dog because he's a family friends. But you, so wait, so you do Christopher walking? Yeah, like I used to always, so I play Jesus, right?
Starting point is 00:03:38 What do you mean? What do you mean? I play Jesus in this big Easter play. 12,000 people come. A lot of people get saved. I get crucified every year. It's awesome. Wait, are you serious?
Starting point is 00:03:47 You're not kidding. I'm not kidding. Where can people see this? So it's in Covina, California. If you ever want to swing by Easter time, you know, there's this I will follow Christ musical that goes on every year. Where's Covina? Covina, California is in Southern California, the Inland Empire, the IE, the Empire.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Okay. And so anyway, I have this amazing movie wig. You'd be very surprised. I look a lot like Jesus. Every year you do this? I've been doing it for like 14 years. Yeah. And you tell me this now?
Starting point is 00:04:14 It's insane. In hour two? No, it's a crazy, crazy story. I have so many things that have happened. Like, the donkey that I wrote on died the night before the show. It's insane. The stuff that went on in that show. I don't know how to read that.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Like, the donkey died. Oh, yeah. I write a donkey. You know? This is like legit animal don't-y. Jesus story bloopers. No, for sure. There's a lot of those.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Okay, but you were, so I mentioned Christopher Walker. Yeah, so I used to do, every once in a while I would, if Jesus were played by Christopher Walking, it would be. Could you please give us a little bit of that? Okay. Let not your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in me. in my father's house.
Starting point is 00:05:04 There are many dwelling places if we're not so I would have told you. That's fantastic. Yeah. It's ridiculous. Has anyone, have you ever done that on film or anything like that?
Starting point is 00:05:18 We've just captured that. That's going on. That's going to go everywhere. That was really good. Not your hearts. It's beautiful. I want to send that to the mutual friend.
Starting point is 00:05:33 No, the person whose house it was where I was in. That was really, that was awesome. Oh, yeah. No, it's so fun. I'll get to you. A lot of weird stuff happens in that show. What do you mean? So there was one time, so they have this big stone that covers the tomb.
Starting point is 00:05:48 And there's, it's like probably 16. You make it sound like I've never heard of that before. Have you ever heard of the stone? Typically, there is a stone covering the tomb. It rolls away. That's traditional, Jared. soldiers are walking around. They're on top of this little place where the stone is. And one of them actually, and there's this guy, and he's not an actor. And he's, he's the blind person. And he's
Starting point is 00:06:09 right down in front of the stone. And he's, and he's from Sri Lanka originally. And so, you're talking about the actor. Yeah, the actor is from Sri Lanka. And he's like, arms for the blind. Arms for the blind. And then all of a sudden, one of the Roman soldiers accidentally hits the top of the thing, the stone. And he's like, oh, so this is not a paper machet stone? It is a big paper mache stone. But it's heavy. You know, it's six feet tall, it's three feet wide. And so the thing just, he goes like, it lands, right? It's like, on for the pit!
Starting point is 00:06:35 Like, just right on. And he just lands on the ground. And nobody knows what to do, and I'm sitting there. I'm supposed to go heal him from blindness. But this is like a Monty Python animation. Well, I know. Like, I'm for the blind, I'm for the blind. And then the stone.
Starting point is 00:06:49 And then I walk over, and I, and I didn't, nobody else know what to do. They're not actors. There's an audience. And so I just, as Jesus, like, picked up the stone. I just picked it up in one arm. I was just like, And there was a sigh. And then he stood up and he didn't know what to do.
Starting point is 00:07:05 He didn't know how to improv. And I picked him up and he goes, I can see. I can see. Like it didn't have any. Yeah. So this was alive on stage. It was live on stage.
Starting point is 00:07:18 So this is improv in the role of Jesus. Yeah. And I got catapulted off the cross one time. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Yeah. Hold on the second. Yeah. I just want my audience to understand, we're not joking.
Starting point is 00:07:29 So you, every year, do this live stage play. What's the town again? Covina, California. And you do this in the month of March or? Whenever Easter is, yeah, yeah. In the spring? In the springtime. Around the solstice.
Starting point is 00:07:44 And you've done this 14 years in a row. Yes. Where would people go online to look this up? You just look up, I will follow Christ. These bloopers are not online, by the way. Yeah, you should. These are incredible. I mean, I'm just blown away that you do.
Starting point is 00:07:59 that, number one. Well, 500 to 1,000 people come to Christ every year. So it's an amazing ministry. And like, I get to do all kinds of stuff. Very few places do I get to actually see people commit their lives to Christ. That is the thing that matters to me the most. And so I love it. Like,
Starting point is 00:08:15 it's my favorite thing to do. It's with a bunch of non-actors. It's like community theater. And there's probably three actors in the whole show. The guy that plays the devil. The guy that plays his old John, who kind of is the narrator. And then me. And then everybody else is there because they are passionate about the gospel and they want to tell the story.
Starting point is 00:08:33 And it's like, it's an amazing. I mean, there's like 100 people in the cast. It's insane. I mean, there's other shows like this around the United States, you know. Oh, I know. Yeah. But I just didn't know that you, you know, it's kind of funny because we were talking about comedy. This is not comedy.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Well, no. I mean, no, but as what I'm saying is like, that's what's so interesting is that, you know, that's a place where people would see you, you know, living out your faith in your craft. And obviously there's nothing funny about it. It's the antithesis of funny. It's tragedy. It's beautiful. It's powerful. And you're telling me that as a result of this live stage play, people have their lives changed every year.
Starting point is 00:09:16 People have their lives changed every year. It's an amazing story. The gospel is really powerful. All you have to do is tell the gospel. And people respond to it because it speaks to the human heart so deeply. and that is that's my passion so I love that and I love that I get to do it I wanted to end you know our conversation on a wild comedic note and we have failed miserably there's a lot of funny stuff that happens when people try to do sacred stuff though that's the thing well I think we're going to have to leave
Starting point is 00:09:46 it there Jared LeMaster just really a joy to get this time with you folks check out the Babylon B Jared thank you thank you Don't get too tired for love. Tell me why Relief Factor is so successful at lowering or eliminating pain. I'm often asked that question just the other night. I was asked that question. Well, the owners of Relief Factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal. That's right, designed to heal.
Starting point is 00:10:26 And I agree with them. And the doctors who formulated Relief Factor for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug-free ingredients. Starting point is 00:12:12 Hey there, folks. Welcome to the show. You'll remember that every now and again, I just like to check in with my friends to see how they're doing. One of those friends is my guest right now, the comedian, the actress, the woman of faith. My friend, Victoria Jackson. Victoria, welcome. Well, lucky you. I have so much I want to ask you about, but like, what's going on in your life, Fickey? What's happening? Well, what's going on in your life, Eric?
Starting point is 00:13:01 No, this is my show where I am supposed to talk less. I'm supposed to ask you about what's going on in your life. I often, you know, just talk too much in these interviews. So don't tempt me to tell you about my life because I want to know about your life. It's why you're my guest on my show. show. Okay. Well, thank you for asking. Well, I was at my church a couple weeks ago and my past at Calvary Chapel, Columbia, Tennessee, and my pastor, Pastor Tim, he goes, he says, I, the Lord has convicted me that I have not been addressing issues. Basically, he read your book. He went, he
Starting point is 00:13:50 Now, does he mind that we're talking about this publicly? No, because he went to the pastor's conference in Nashville where you spoke for a Charlie Kirk event, Turning Point. Yes. And I was there to see my friend, Mike O'Fallon, but I didn't know you were there the night before. Well, my pastor heard you and got your book, and it changed his life. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. This is great news. you know I'm not kidding. What a wonderful, wonderful thing, because of course, that's why I wrote the book hoping to reach pastors like your pastor. This makes me very happy. Please continue. Well, the cool thing was
Starting point is 00:14:34 that he had heard a word from God a couple weeks before and he had told his wife, what does this mean? I can't remember the exact story. It was an Old Testament verse. And his wife goes, I don't know. And then when he went to the conference and he heard you preach, he was like, this is what the Lord was telling me. Well, anyway, he read your book, and the next Sunday, he had the Mayflower Compact up on the screen behind him, proving that our country was founded on people who were trying to spread the gospel. And then he had the we the people, the constitution up on the screen behind him, showing that we were founded as a nation who worshipped and respected and loved God and his word. And, you know, he's, and then every week since then, like, he's been doing what you've been in Kurt. You're trying to tell the church, wake up America or we're going to be like Germany when Hitler took over. And you're sounding the alarm.
Starting point is 00:15:33 And I want to tell you it's working in my little tiny corner of the world. My pastor Tim is doing it. He's on fire. He's talking about issues. He was already, you know, kind of doing it. And he said, I was very encouraging now. He's talking against the gay pride parades and all the issues that a lot of pastors are afraid to talk about. So I wanted you to know God is using you.
Starting point is 00:16:01 I mean, no kidding. I mean, because we're friends. But I had no idea until you mentioned it just before we went on the air. And it really thrills me, Vicki, because people often ask me. I was interviewed, my goodness, I was interviewed by Jordan Peterson earlier today, and he asked me,
Starting point is 00:16:24 what has this effect been? The book that you wrote, you wrote this to reach pastors, and what's the effect been? And when I hear stories like your pastor being affected in that way, it just thrills me. It just absolutely thrills me because you know and I know.
Starting point is 00:16:43 I mean, when I wrote the book letter to the American Church, I mean, it doesn't get more serious. I mean, you and I joke around a lot, but what we're talking about here, it is as serious as it gets. The silence of the church in the face of evil, that's what happened in Germany, and we know how that story went,
Starting point is 00:17:02 and it's happening now, and so I know the Lord called me to write this book. But, you know, a lot of times in the Old Testament, of course, you know, you have these prophets speaking and the people of God ignore what they have to say when Bonhoeffer spoke, whatever. So when we say something, just because it's true, doesn't mean people are going to receive it. We all do our best. So that's just terrific. I cannot begin to tell you how that encourages me. And I hope, I guess that gives me the sense that, you know, hopefully other pastors will have a similar feeling because God has called them to be.
Starting point is 00:17:41 be the conscience of the nation. The church is meant to be the conscience of the nation. And that's not going to happen if we don't have pastors leading that way. And I say to everybody, you know, if you're going to a church that is avoiding this, you know, maybe give the pastor a copy of my book or send them to one of these YouTube messages that I've given. But if they refuse to deal with it, get out of that church. Don't waste your time and God's time going to a church like that. Anyway, my goodness, I certainly didn't mean it to talk about me, but you brought it up. So thank you, Vicki. I'm just really honored by that.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Well, Eric, also people should check out your YouTube sermon of that day. It was on fire. It's my second favorite thing you've said after you told Obama the gospel at the 2012 National Prayer Breakfast. this sermon you gave at the Nashville Turning Point event, and you labeled it, every pastor should hear this, that's a really good YouTube because a lot of people don't read anymore, and I'm addicted to YouTube myself. So I encourage them. Okay, so this was when I spoke in Nashville at the Turning Point USA, TPSA Faith event in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:19:03 This is about a month or so ago. And I think the YouTube, it says every pastor should hear this. But anyway, it was Nashville, TPSA, Faith, and it's from about five weeks ago or something like that. If people want to look that up, thank you, Vicky. Honestly, that's just, I'm thrilled to hear that. I'm just absolutely thrilled. It gives me hope because we need hope. We know we're going through tough stuff.
Starting point is 00:19:29 So I really wanted to have you on to find out what's going on in your life. You just told me this wonderful thing that your pastor told you a little while ago. But what's going on in your life? Are you doing any other acting roles, any films, any, what's cooking? Yes. Well, first, before I tell you about my new role in my new short film for the 168 Christian film, it's called 168 because you have 168 hours to make a film. it's a 20, it's been around 20 years.
Starting point is 00:20:05 And they get a Bible verse and then they have to make a film in 168 hours, which I think is a week. Wait, wait, wait, wait. So this, this is a thing that there's a, there's a thing called, what's it called? Say it again? The 168 film festival.com. So it's a Christian film festival and you have 168 hours to make a film. They give you a verse.
Starting point is 00:20:31 and they're like, go, and then you've got to go off. And so you, okay, so tell us, tell us more. So I got cast. I got cast in one of them, and we're going to be filming it in my house here next month. And I'm very excited because I get to play an angel. But before I tell you about that, I want to do a shout out to my other wonderful Jesus thing that happened in the last month. Okay, China Phillips, you know her.
Starting point is 00:21:07 China Phillips, you've been on her show. The mom was in the Papa's daughter. She was in Wilson Phillips. Her hit was, hold on for one more day. And she's my friend now because I was watching her YouTube channel and I was so proud of her. She's on fire for Jesus. I mean, her father was a heroin addict for 20 years.
Starting point is 00:21:29 She had a rough childhood, Hollywood and everything. She's married to Billy Baldwin, the actor. And her YouTube channel is she's very transparent. She's living the Christian life, sharing the highs and lows, the struggles. And I got sucked into it. I became a fan. And then she started something called Cal Heel, California. Her show is called California.
Starting point is 00:21:55 What is Cal Heel? Okay, wait, wait, wait. California Preaching is her YouTube channel, and it's a little spin off of California Dream and her parents. Sorry. So, okay, China Phillips has a YouTube channel and a show called, what? California Preaching. California Preaching. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:16 I've been on her show, and we've had her on this show, and she is, of course, delightful. And so California Preaching is the show. Now, before we get into this, we're going to a break. When we come back, ladies and gentlemen, in case you didn't know, I'm talking to my friend, Victoria Jackson. She was on Saturday Night Live for many seasons on the Tonight Show a zillion times. And now she's on this show, and we'll be right back. Are you tired of not getting a good night's sleep? Starting point is 00:24:28 Okay, Vicki, you were just talking excitedly, as you sometimes do, about your recent experience with China Phillips, who's married to Billy Baldwin, who's the brother of Alec Baldwin. So it's kind of like a Hollywood family, and she was in Wilson Phillips and whatever. And, of course, she's a profound Christian and has a show called California Preaching on YouTube. So pick up where we left off. Okay. Funny thing is, I was on Dick Cavett with her mother, Michelle Phillips, and I've forgotten in the 80s. I found the video I sent it to her. I was in a movie with Stephen Baldwin that was directed by Donald Jenkins way before he did his big hit, The Chosen, the Chosen, which I love, of course. And I was also kissing Alec Baldwin in a bunch of sketches on Saturday Night. live. I was like, China, I've kind of met almost your whole family throughout my life. Did you say you were on Dick Cavett? Yeah. Are you kidding? Because, you know, he's a friend of mine. I didn't know. I don't think
Starting point is 00:25:38 that I knew that you had been on his show. I did a handstand on it. On the Dick, on Dick Cavett's show? My goodness. That's, uh, well, anyway, well, where, where were you going with this? You were, that you were going someplace and I kind of sidetracked you. Yes. Where I was going was China was talking to her, you know, listeners and watchers, viewers, subscribers. And so she decided to start a group called California Healing. And we meet every Sunday on Zoom. Strangers who have never met on Zoom every Sunday for two hours. We pray.
Starting point is 00:26:20 We read the Bible. We, you know, worship together. We take communion together. And we got so close. We've done it almost a year. We got so close. And one day, one of the ladies, Michelle, said, well, me and my husband own a hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, you're all welcome to come if you want to meet face to face for the first time.
Starting point is 00:26:44 And we flew in from everywhere in America to Ocean City about a month ago, and we met for the first time. And I got to tell you, it was like a tiny, slice of heaven because I've never been like a girl, girl, like I don't really hang out with women groups, you know, and I was a little scared and I don't like chit-chat, you know, I don't like chit-chat, you know. Not like those other women who love chit-chat. Some women like to just go on and on and on about their fingernails and their tea towels and, you know. You're not like those women. Let's get to the point.
Starting point is 00:27:30 People are dying and going to hell. How are we going to tell them the gospel? How are we going to save our country? You know, let's talk about real stuff. So anyway, I go down into the room for the first day. And I, 20 women, come hug me and kiss me. We're all laughing and hugging and crying. Pure love and joy.
Starting point is 00:27:54 No judgmentalness. No. no agenda, just love Jesus and we love each other. And I can't tell you what a great feeling. I just felt so loved. And then Adjua from England, she prayed for each of us. She has a gift of prayer. And then Sandy has the gift of, you know, leadership.
Starting point is 00:28:17 And everyone was doing their gifts. And I can't tell you, I was blown away. I'm in my late in life I'm learning the strength of Christian fellowship and sisterhood and I think people shy away from it my tendency is to be a permanent
Starting point is 00:28:36 and stay on YouTube all me What? I shy away from sisterhood But I know what you mean No fellowship actually seriously It's very important It's very important and so that's beautiful But how you know it's a little bit ironic
Starting point is 00:28:49 That you discover this online And then everybody gets together in this hotel and then you got to see everybody. And you said somebody was there from England? Yeah. So not just from across the U.S. Uh, right. Like the Canada, Canada area in England.
Starting point is 00:29:07 Anyway, that's my just, oh. And so we have a... The Canada area? You know what they call that, right? What they call that, Canada. Well, she's in Wisconsin, but she's near the border. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:29:23 What state is near the border? A lot of states are near the border. We have a whole northern border. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's just wonderful. That's wonderful. So when I say what's going on in your life,
Starting point is 00:29:38 it sounds like that's what's going on in your life. You've had this wonderful community experience. Yes, this community. And we are on a thread every day praying for each other, constantly all day. Oh, and then we have word feasts where we spontaneously, call each other and read the Bible out loud with each other. Then we have a spontaneous prayer.
Starting point is 00:29:59 And then we, like all day. Can everybody get in on this? This is like now it's a private group. You can't let the whole world in on this. Because people are going to be slightly jealous as they hear you talking about this. Well, I'm not a woman and I want to be a part of this group. Okay. She started another group on Thursdays.
Starting point is 00:30:23 And she's starting another thing called Purpose. So she is a other people can join. Okay, so if people go look up China Phillips, and it's spelled C-H-Y-N-A, China, C-H-Y-N-A. Phillips, California preaching is her show. And you can look her up. But that's, okay, we're going to a break. We'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:30:46 I'm talking to Victoria Jackson. You can find her at Victoria Jackson.com. Picks, the one you'll know by. Don't you ever ask them why if they told you you would die? Welcome back, folks. I'm talking to Victoria Jackson. We're talking about a lot of stuff. We've been talking about China Phillips.
Starting point is 00:31:31 We've been talking about your pastor at Calvary Chapel, reading my book and hearing me preach. Now we're going to talk about you have gotten involved in local politics. Talk about that for a minute and then we've got other stuff. But talk about that. I love the fact that you are activist. You take your faith into the public sphere. Yes, and people shouldn't be afraid.
Starting point is 00:31:56 I just saw a YouTube, because you know I'm addicted to YouTube, of Roseanne Barr interviewing James O'Keefe, who, you know James O'Keefe. He's awesome. He, what's the name of his thing? The Veritas. No, no, no, no, no. The board of Veritas kicked him out. They are dead to me. Veritas kicked him out.
Starting point is 00:32:19 He now has a new thing, James O'Keefe, and it's called, I think it's O'MG. It's like O'Keefe Media Group, but O'MG James O'Keefe, because the board of Veritas did a really, really terrible, terrible thing and kicked him out. So Veritas, whatever was, I'm not interested in anymore.
Starting point is 00:32:38 But so you just said, Roseanne Barr was interviewing my friend James O'Keefe. He's a hero. Yes. Very recent YouTube. And he was explaining that. And when I heard the scandal, I stopped financially supporting him because I was like, whoa, what's going on? So I'm glad you made it all clear.
Starting point is 00:32:57 Now we know who we can support, not Veritas, but I'm glad you made it clear because I didn't know. That is my strong opinion. Support James O'Keefe, but don't support Veritas because what they did is not right. Okay. The first time I heard of him, he was with Hannah Giles dressing up. like a pimp and a hooker to prove that the government is giving money to hookers for free housing. Well, they exposed, they did an undercover journalistic thing and they exposed acorn. Remember back during Obama, they exposed it. Brilliant. Citizen journalism. Brilliant. Amazing job.
Starting point is 00:33:34 And then he exposed amazingly recently the, the Pfizer. Pfizer. Yes, he exposed that they're creating a new disease so that they can make money on us. He proved it. So people should look that up. Anyway. But then Veritas kicked him out. It's really sick. But yeah, he's a hero.
Starting point is 00:34:03 But I was asking you about your efforts as a citizen journalist. That's what you were going to talk about. I know. And so Roseanne's like, well, how can people? How can we help? What can we do? And James is like, I can't do everything. just like Breitbart said,
Starting point is 00:34:18 be citizen journalists, take your cell phone everywhere, go to the local school board meeting, stand up for what's right, don't expect other people to. And, you know, I think people are afraid because they don't understand it all.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Don't be afraid. I don't understand it all either. I'm like, how many senators are there? How many House of Representatives? I don't know. I'm learning. But the point is, there's one House of Representatives.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Yes. And it's not. literally a house. But anyway, you learn, you know. I didn't know GOP was grand old party. Who tells you that stuff? So anyway, my point is I'm not political. I'm not an activist, but I want to keep freedom of worship for my children, and I want to keep freedom of speech. So I show up to these boring things, but you can make them interesting if you want. And I was at that meeting about you. You can make them interesting because you're Victoria Jackson, but everyone can and everyone should. who could. But I'm just so proud of you that you're getting involved in local politics. Everybody
Starting point is 00:35:20 needs to be involved in as many of those kinds of things as possible. I want to tell you that, and my friends said, how do I find out what's happening? How do I know? I go, go to Ericmetaxis.com, go to his YouTube, go to Moms for Liberty, go to Newsmax. I mean, where are some places people could go to know what's happening and get the truth? Where can people go? I tell, I mean, no joke. I actually tell people, if you follow me on Twitter, I retweet things that I think are important or that are valuable. And you use it just as a news service, you know, that if you're only following a couple of people on Twitter, because I try to share, you know, important things. Obviously, on this program, I try to do the same thing. But you have to find the right sources. And, you know, I've had a lot of great guests on this program and I tell people to sign up to my website at ericotaxis.com, sign up for my newsletter because I'm doing all of these interviews like this one and people can get good sources of information, can find out, oh, that's somebody that I should, you know,
Starting point is 00:36:31 be tuned into or whatever. But anyway, I'm just proud of you that you're doing that. Vicki, you wanted to talk a little bit about this film and you wanted to plug your daughter has a new book out? Well, last time I didn't have it to show. When I talk to you about this is a fourth book for Lifeway and you're the worst person in the world. No, it's not a mommy dearest. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:36:54 The title of your daughter's book, this is a good title. The title of the book is you are the worst person in the world? Yeah, her name is Scarlett Hiltavital. And she's now a speaker and a writer and she has a lot of books with Lifeway. And I'm really proud of her. And anyway, this is about Romans 323, actually. Romans 323, you're the worst person in the world. What a great title for book.
Starting point is 00:37:23 You're the worst person in the world by Scarlett Hiltabital. We can remember Scarlet. You're the worst person in the world. Well. Okay. So I know we're wrapping it up now. So you want to see my angel costume? Well, I think we should save that for the final segment, which is coming up in a couple of minutes.
Starting point is 00:37:43 because I want to, first of all, I want to hear about, you mentioned that you're shooting a film, and you said earlier that there's this project that it's called the 168 film festival or whatever. So you get 168 hours to create a film based on a scripture verse. But isn't the time up, isn't like the week over? Like, how can you be shooting this in the future if they only give you a week? What does that mean they give you a week? Well, that's a good point. We're in a different category because we won last year, Best Comedy,
Starting point is 00:38:20 me and Christopher, Sean Shaw, and also Darren Coogan, the writer, and Aaron Fullen, we won Best Comedy. So I think they have a rule that if you won before, you get to just make a film or something. Oh, okay. Well, then we're going to go to a break. When we come back, we're going to see the costume, and we're going to hear more about Victoria Jackson's role in this upcoming film. You can go to Victoria Jackson.com.
Starting point is 00:38:45 You can go to Eric Mataxis.com, and we'll be right back. Welcome back. I'm talking to my friend Victoria Jackson. Okay, Vicki, we're ready to see the costume. We're ready to hear about the role that you're playing in this new film that is being shot next week. We're in a couple of weeks. Ready? Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:39:42 If people are listening on radio, they cannot see the lovely gold angel wings that you're displaying on camera. That's why I tell people they need to subscribe. Eric Metaxus.com will send you the videos because we want you to see, oh, look at this. So you're playing an angel. But Eric, to be a big angel. So I actually got big wings and little wings. Look how big these are.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Wait a minute. That's a little scary, Vicki. That's the biggest wing. I'm surprised that doesn't hurt your arm to lift that up. So let me get this straight. You're playing an angel in a film that's being shot in your barn? No, in my house,
Starting point is 00:40:28 it's actually a zombie musical. A zombie musical? Yeah, I don't want to give the plot away, but basically the zombies are all over the... I hate zombies, so they let me be an angel. I'm like, I don't even get it. I don't even get what a zombie.
Starting point is 00:40:48 So you're an angel and a zombie flick? Yeah. Isn't that just a human condition, Bicky? being an angel in a zombie flick. I know what that feels like. Yes. Well, first of all, angels don't necessarily have wings, do they? Well, I think angels have wings, but when we die and go to heaven, we don't become angels.
Starting point is 00:41:12 We're like the resurrected Jesus. We are people. So the idea that we get wings in heaven and become angels is not biblical. I want to be very clear. Angels are a different order of being than human beings. Right. Well, I don't really necessarily think the Bible says that angels have wings because those two angels who came to see, what's his name in the Old Testament? They looked like men. But there are flapping things. Isaiah talked about the throne of God. There's different kinds of angels. They're cherubim. They're seraphim. They're different kinds of angels. But you're playing one of them in this film. for a comedy zombie musical
Starting point is 00:41:53 I'm playing an angel with winks so the plot is I shouldn't give it away maybe you shouldn't give it away maybe you should talk about this YouTube thing because we've just got about a minute or so left okay all right so you gotta go to the 168 film festival
Starting point is 00:42:08 to see what our movie turns out like in a couple months okay so basically since I'm addicted to YouTube and people are like well what do you watch I'm like Eric Mattaxis biblical archaeology in the Middle East China Phillips
Starting point is 00:42:26 Okay, so anyway I was watching this interview of a porn star named Joshua Broome who became a pastor and I didn't know that it was going to say he found Jesus. It was just this guy named Michael something
Starting point is 00:42:43 is interviewing a Catholic guy named Michael something. Oh, I also just watched a great debate between Catholic. and Protestantism. I have a lot of issues with catholicism. I'm getting confused and I think that's your secret intention. No, the end of my story is people should check out the Joshua Broom story because he knew 30 porn star friends who died before they were like 30 years old. It's a horrible life of deep evil and darkness and he escaped because of Jesus Christ. And I just loved. to hear stories like that. And he's a pastor now. He's happily married. I love this. So the name,
Starting point is 00:43:25 his name is Joshua Broome. He was in the porn industry and he got out of that. And that's beautiful. Vicki, we're out of time. It just makes me happy to talk to you. Thank you for coming on. Folks, go to Victoriajaxon.com. Vicki, thank you so much.
