I have seen them manifest as black figures, gray shadowy figures, but also familiar spirits. I mean, because that's what demons are, right? They're familiar. They've been around for ages. But what I mean is demons that masquerade as human beings. So I've seen them looking like people. I've seen them looking like animals, demonic manifestations of animals that are very creepy looking. They do have power.

And I was thrown out of the chair when I was at my mom and dad's house. many years ago, right as everything was escalating, I also used to feel them touching me. As a matter of fact, one spiritual attack I had after being saved, I felt the presence on my feet. I actually thought it was my cat. I thought my cat was laying down. So I felt the weight and the warm as though something was on me. And I looked down, nothing was on my feet. And the cat was all the way down in the other, you know, at the end of the other room. And I'm like, all right, I know what this is. Welcome back to the Exorcist Files, the show where evil, incorporeal, sinister beings in rebellion against the creator of the universe, gotta go. Today we'll be diving into the world of divination and fortune-telling.

Much of her experience should sound familiar to our regular listeners who know that when it comes to divination and visiting Just say no. Before we begin, I asked Father Martins, though, to give us some commentary around the topic. We know from our first case file that he has direct experience with people afflicted after getting involved with psychics. But I was curious if it was more common than we realized. Had he experienced a lot of it in his time in Houston? And as a refresher, why is it so wrong? Tons, especially in the South. So psychics, fortune-telling, all of this, the consultant.

of these people is a sin against the First Commandment because we are trying to usurp the natural limits that God has put in place for human powers, right? So he hasn't made us, he hasn't constructed us to be able to predict the future. He hasn't given us a natural ability to be able to alter people's thinking with using just telepathy. He hasn't equipped us with a natural power of divination. So in attempting to obtain these things, we are imitating the natural rebellion of Satan. And in fact, all of these attempts are a cooperation with them, even if it's non-conscious. Most people in the go visit a psychic, they have no desire to have a cooperative relationship with demons. But it's happening nonetheless.

And I think even some psychics are duped. They're unaware that they're dealing with demonic power, that the demons are the agency. by which they're able to have the predictive ability that they have over their subjects. Father mentioned that some psychics and practitioners of these occult activities are probably deceived themselves. But importantly, while he believes there are plenty of charlatans, he does empathize, as many people have had what they believe to be are legitimate experiences, as the devil is lowering them in with real bait. Sin is tempting. People are being attracted to something. When a fisherman goes fishing, he doesn't.

just throw a hook in the water. He puts a lure on the end of that hook. So the hook is a lure that has hooks in it. And so at the end of the day, you're tricking the fish. So you're offering the promise of something good. And in the end, they're giving up their lives for that. The fish certainly doesn't know that it's about to meet its end when it bites into this very appealing-looking lure. And the same with people who go visit, these people who practice the occult, that the devil will often prove its veracity or attempt to prove it, attempt to establish its goodness and trust within it by doing something, by proving its veracity, by giving an accurate prediction of something that will happen in the future, or bringing about an outcome that

couldn't have happened otherwise, that it would just be too much of a coincidence for that to occur. And then, look, now he's got your faith in that enterprise. And then once you have a person's faith in that enterprise, they're very manipulable and they're very cooperative. And that's how the devil plays the game. As General Share in this interview today, there are people who believe they have a genuine psychic gift and believe they are helping people. Father agrees. But unfortunately, that doesn't matter because in the end, whether willingly or not, someone practicing divination is bringing in people to sin. Some of them, I mean, they know they're playing a game. They have no faith in themselves as doing anything spiritual. And the devil is for those folks probably, he's just as fine to leave them with that belief. He doesn't care. He doesn't need them to believe anything extraordinary about their enterprise. But he's providing it and the customers are sinning by coming trying to usurp those natural limits placed by God. So the devil wins.

either way, whether you're a self-proclaimed charlatan, whether you are a person, quote, unquote, of goodwill who's genuinely out to help people, or you're somebody who's actively cooperating with Satan, like, hey, I'm serving you in order to get whatever I want out of it. All three of those people, he'll take all three of them. He's not fussy. Well, there you have it, folks. You don't have to be a psychic to know that divination, fortune-telling, tarot cards, and astrology is not something you want to mess with. And if you doubt that, well, let's listen to Jen's story. now. I hope you enjoy it. Yeah, so my childhood was here on Long Island. Dad was a police officer.

Mom was a homemaker with little businesses at home until she went off to beauty school. We were raised culturally Catholic. Mom put us in religious instruction and we went with the flow of that. I really didn't even know what any of it meant. I just knew I had to go. And I went on to receive the sacraments in the Catholic Church, penance, communion, confirmation. We celebrated Christmas, but Christmas was about the cultural aspect of it. You know, Italian Catholic on Long Island, antipasta, Santa Claus, you know, Queens, oh my goodness, my nannies, we would go to my nannies in Ozone Park and all of us together, all the cousins, all the food, aunts and uncles. Yet in my home, we were definitely talking about the paranormal. We were talking about activities happening in the

home, demonic activity, lights going on and off, hearing, you know, footsteps, hearing stories about Luigi board and everything. So it was something that was acceptable and normal in my home. Jen grew up in a culturally Catholic home, yet one where frequent conversations of the paranormal were commonplace. Ghosts, tarot cards, and demons were all topics that filled the dinner table conversations and opened Jen's heart and mind to the unseen world around her. Although she grew up in a Catholic family, their Christian life was cultural and did not prevent the occult from invading her home. As a result, Jen did not have any hesitation walking into her first tarot card reading at the age of 13 by a family friend. Little did Jen and her mom know that this simple moment

would be an experience that set her on a path towards being a professional psychic and an agent of demonic whispers. I was introduced to the occult through my first tarot card reading at age 13. We do not throw mom under the bus. I always say that in all the interviews that I do. Mom at this point was a hairdresser and a woman that worked at the beauty supply store. She was a tarot card reader. And she did parties and group readings. So my mom organized with her clients, her hairdresser clients, a party.

And at this point, mom was working from home. So the people were going to come to the house and sit at the manicure table with the tarot card reader one by one. And mom let myself and my sister each have a reading. And I will never forget that. I was so intrigued by the entire experience. How did these cards know things? How did this woman know things that nobody told her? It was shocking to me.

It made me want more. And that truly was when I came into agreement with the practice of divination. Because after that, I just wanted more and more of it. My first psychic experience is something I called a psychic attack. And that was actually when I was 12. So this was all leading up to that tarot card reading. So I had two of these psychic attacks, both through dreams. and I am a firm believer of demons manipulating dreams.

I believe that we're very vulnerable in those sleep stages and in the middle of the night. You see a lot of spiritual warfare happening there, but I digress. I was 12 and I had this dream and it was about my dad and it was about him smoking and, you know, nothing profound. Just this gloomy atmosphere and he was smoking a cigarette. And my dad had quit smoking a long time before that. Fast forward some months go by and my great grandfather died. And we were in the funeral procession and something was holding up the line. And some of us get out of the car just to go and talk. And I go with my dad and my uncle and we're talking and it was very, very gloomy. It was just this heavy atmosphere, very similar to that dream that I

had. And my dad said, boy, do I wish I had a cigarette? And he's talking about smoking. I'm like, what? Why would you even be talking about smoking? You don't smoke anymore. And that triggered this flashback of that dream to me. And again, like I said, not profound, but it fits. Femons don't know the future, but they know the past. And there are certain things that they're watching. They see great-grandpas, very old and sick and whatever. Not difficult at all to kind of present this atmosphere to me, though I didn't know it was a death. But the smoking bit, the demon certainly knew that he smoked and that that would provoke maybe him wanting a cigarette. And there was another dream like that, again, nothing profound, but something ended up happening that brought me

back to the dream. After I went through that tarot card reading and I started seeking out more divination. Eventually, Jen started to experience the demonic for herself. Although at the time, she might not have characterized it that way, Jen provided an interesting. example of how the demonic realm would manifest to her. I was getting an ultrasound and the technician who was doing the ultrasound. I said to her, I'm a medium and there's something coming through for you. Is it okay to share it with you? Isn't it interesting how you have to get the permission and to come into that agreement with

the demons? And she, of course, said yes. Whenever I got these readings, I would say 9.999 times out of 10, everybody wanted to hear what I was going to report. I would see lights, like little twinkling lights around somebody's head, and that usually was the main indication that I was about to be receiving some information. You know, Satan masquerades as an angel of light, this fake light, just giving me a cue, hey, we're here. We're about to feed you some information. And the report was that this woman's brother died in a boating accident and he was on the boat with two other guys and detailed.

were given about his description, the event, so on and so forth. Now, I'm just laying there getting an ultrasound. I don't know this woman from anything. There was no tattoo, nothing written across her forehead. This is so necessary to give this accurate information. The demons have to give accurate information. And they can do that with anything that's in the past, anything that has already happened, even fits up to two minutes ago.

They've seen it. They can report it with 100% accuracy. She started crying. because this was this big connection now with her brother, who she was so sad over losing. She was blown away. She was completely blown away. You're just laying on this table.

You come in and you're telling me about my brother and I miss him. And this must be a sign. That must be him. She became a client after that. Sparkling light, intrusive thoughts and vision were common signals that the spirits wanted to speak with her. Now, perhaps very unbrand for our old adversary. Jen was convinced that during this time in her life,

she thought these spirits were benevolent guides or lost loved ones just reaching out to help people. Well, they're not just whispering into your ear. They're giving you information in all different ways. So what I call downloading, when you think about something and you can kind of hear your own voice in your head when you're thinking something, right? So this would be like right away, you know, names, mom is here, so-and-so, like downloaded information as if it's your thoughts, but they're not.

Because remember, a part of you has already agreed to step to the side and let these entities come in. I would see spirit guides. That's through meditation, through entering into divination, of course. But then there would be times I would see. Mom's standing here. She has red hair and green eyes. I could see the demon or I would smell something. And I've heard a lot of people say that they believed their deceased loved ones were their spirit guides.

It's different for different people. For me, it was more looking into it. so I would do these guided meditations looking into who my spirit guide was. And then, of course, there's the answer. There he is standing there. I would actually have a vision of him. And I even believed that he was my daughter's spirit guide too, because one time I was trying to heal her and I saw him standing behind her.

So I believed, you know, here's this wonderful entity. Here's my guy, you know, helping me to heal my daughter. It's no surprise that faux grandma revealed themselves. as what they really are, they seem benevolent helping to support their cause. Here I am to help you. If they show up right away as the evil that they are, you're not going to believe that there's anything good about them or that they can guide you or help you or any of that.

It's a baby God theology, if you think about it, you're becoming your own God and you think that you can control, I wouldn't necessarily just say the universe, but the spiritual realm. You think you can control demons. you think that you can protect yourself. Amen. Father Martin's here. For Jen, these encounters were very real and often very powerful experiences. She would also be the first to admit that there are

many charlatans and fakes out there. I wanted to get her take on how real this was for most people. You're tapping into the supernatural. You're tapping into these entities. And at the time, I believed everything was energy. Everything was energy, frequency, vibration. Well, it's, of course, demonic because it's never coming from God. But I was a real psychic medium. I received information about people that I never could have known. What would I say to people that think that this is just a con scam or charlatans or hucksters?

Yeah, there are charlatans. There are hucksters. But that's another very crafty deception of the evil one. Because if he can make you think it's nonsense. you're desensitized to it now that maybe he's not real, maybe hell isn't real, and he's gotcha. So understand that we've been seeing this since biblical times. God is clear about this in the Word of God. And I tell you, when you go back in and you see the demonic possession, you see witchcraft, you see astrology.

This is what people were doing. And God warns us, it's an abomination to him. You can't protect yourself against demons. They don't want to be your friends at all. They hate man and they God. you can't manipulate demons. They are powerful and the only person that they bow down to or take any directives from is Jesus Christ, not us. Jen has seen demons manifest in a number of different ways.

During her time in the cult, the demonic revealed itself to her through several different mechanisms, deceptions and attacks. I have seen them manifest as black figures, gray shadowy figures, but also familiar spirits, I mean, because that's what demons are, right? They're familiar. They've been around for ages. But what I mean is demons that masquerade as human beings. So I've seen them looking like people. I've seen them looking like animals, demonic manifestations of animals that are very creepy looking. Are they wanting to scare you right now? are they wanting to entice you right now? Are they wanting you to think that you're talking to a dead person? Even in the dreams, they come as your dead grandmother or your dead, so that you would believe that you can communicate with the dead when the Bible is clear that the dead and the living do not communicate. The dead do not communicate with the living. The devil just wants you to start believing that

to get you away from the truth, which is Jesus Christ. Jen believes that the devil and his demons are constantly working. to attack the lives of humanity. Yet as we know, God has already won, and the forces of light have defeated the forces of darkness. Prior to her conversion, Jen says that she encountered all kinds of people, mostly normal people seeking the supernatural, as well as the demonic working through people you would never expect. They're not omniscient. How would they know, especially when you think about children such as I was when I started getting demonically oppressed and attacked. I was a child, And you think about even babies or like two-year-olds walking around giving information.

How would these demons know that? So I opt for it could strike anyone. And my belief and opinion is that a door is open somehow. For me, in my home, we were talking about paranormal activity. We were talking about the Ouija board. And I had my first tarot card reading at the age of 13. Door open. Here we go.

And that's how that permission is. given and that's how these readings start and the information. My clientele, they were your everyday people, your guy and gal next door, just like I was. I was almost laugh because I was shopping at the gap. First of all, there was no pointy black hat, there was no coven, there was no hippie look to myself. I was business cash. I was in my home, your regular Joe Schmoe from next door, and they would come in and relax, but no, don't tell me anything. Tell me nothing. Because I sat there, I'm going to tell you. I don't want you to tell me a thing. All you're going to say is yes or no if you understand what I'm talking about or not. And then they would always add a little something, but I was going to be doing

the talking, well, I should say those demons were, but a very friendly atmosphere. I would cry with these people at the end of this. I mean, this is amazing. They've connected with her to see spouse that they have not moved out of grief. They haven't moved out of the grief. And they believe this is healing of 60 minutes. I'm crying with these people. And then when I went on to leave my own divination group, I mean, we would go out to the diner afterwards. I'm teaching these people the law of attraction and chakra balancing, past life regression. And then we're getting together. They were a big part of my life. But not the people that you think that you see in the movies that you see on TV. Not that those people aren't really doing it too, because they are. Witchcraft is very sinister,

of course, and sometimes looks the part. But what people need to know is that you don't have to look the part to be playing the part, to really be doing it, a diviner, a medium. I mean, you look at Teresa with the hair and the nails, and I love Teresa. I'm praying for her. I know Teresa. Years ago, we weren't very close, but we read each other. But people like us, you know, just your Long Islander, you've got to be afraid. You're serving the same devil. You're talking to the demons just as the person who looks the part. I wanted to get a little more clarity about the everyday objects that have been co-opted by the occult. What makes tarot cards and Ouija boards intrinsically demonic? Probably everything you're about to bring up would be in the jar of tools of

divination, which is a created thing that you're going to to get hidden knowledge from, to get supernatural information from outside, of course, the will and boundaries of our God. Tarot cards were actually created as a game called Tarotchi in Italy and supposed to be played as a card game, right? And it was not until it got into the hands of an occultist, I believe in France, that the whole thing changed, right? But here's what you need to know about tarot cards. They are cardboard with paintings on it. They know nothing about you. They know nothing about anything, but the demonic forces that you're invoking by stepping into divination, they know a lot. So tarot cards come with a little pamphlet in there. Giving explanations or

descriptions of the cards and certain layouts on how to read them. So like past, present future. Different layouts for different questions. How you shuffle them and how you decide to have somebody pick the cards is up to the reader. And remember, that booklet, it's not as though that booklet was written by somebody with a literature degree or something, just writing something. This is channeled information. The information about the cards has already been channeled by demons. So that's in the little booklet. And then the reader is already subject to demonic information as it is because they're practicing divination. So again, however they decide to do it, people do it differently. And that's the way a tarot card reading goes. Usually information

about people in your life. There are descriptive cards, you know, what these particular people look like. Predictions, job predictions, love life predictions, the usual questions that people come in with. I just did a YouTube live about Ouija boards yesterday. It's a conversation that constantly has to be had because they're around and they're not going anywhere. Weji boards are tools of divination that welcome in demons. It is not a game as much as Hasbro promotes it as some. It amazes me that you have to be, what, 17 to get a driver's license, but you can be eight to contact demons.

You will give these demons permission into your life by using the Ouija board. I also wondered about crystals. We got a lot of questions on the show regarding crystals and other objects like that. Jen's answer was, of course, unsurprising. They are frequently used in the New Age and witchcraft. And when you think about witchcraft, you're probably picturing this witch in the black hat and the thing or whatever. No, many witches believe that they are good witches, that they are nature witches, and they wear crystals to draw something, to attract something to themselves. They don't wear it to gain some sort of health benefit.

I actually had made for myself rose quartz in the shape of a heart as a pendant. And I used it as a pendulum as well. And I wore that to attract love, not some sort of romantic love, just any love, love me, love me, you know, friends and this, that, whatever. I believed that it was like an energy. So if this crystal is putting this out, then this is what it's going to, you know, bring towards me, which is do this in very evil ways as well when they want to control something. So you see, it goes back to control.

Witchcraft is about control. This is all about controlling reality, circumstances, and even people. So it comes back to control. Crystals are no more than pretty racks. God created crystals. They're beautiful. Hey, you want to have some of its decor? No problem. But that's not what's going on in the occult. crystals are being used for reasons that are against God. They're being used for things that are against God completely. And of course, you can't curate a discussion around the occult without getting into horoscopes and astrology. listeners know where Father Martin stands on this, and it should come as no surprise that the ancient practice of trying to divine information from the stars also finds its way into Jen's former world of the occult. Yeah, well, you'll have people that only do astrology and may only practice numerology, so they will do astrology charts. They'll do numerology charts, whereas general psychic

will have this overlap of these tools of divination. Maybe they don't dive into it 100%. So, for instance, myself as a psychic medium, I got lots of information about people's zodiac signs and numbers, what year they were in and information like that, because it just overlaps. All of these new age practices overlap. These are tools of divination. So astrology and numerology is when you're looking at created things, the stars, the moon, the planets, where they were when you were born, numbers. let's try to extract hidden meanings from something that is meaningless.

They have no meaning. Saturn doesn't know whether you're quirky or not. Okay? Where the sun was when you were born at that very minute has no idea about what's going to happen to you this year. So you're going to God's creation instead of God for information about your life and specifically really about the future. A lot of people go to these tools of divination for future knowledge. And those horoscopes are like good for a month, some of those magazines. And let me tell you something, with the zodiac signs, we all can relate to something that they say, oh, you're this,

you're creative or you're whatever. Those demons have a lie ready to go for that difference in how their lives go. It'll be because somebody chose to do something differently. That really was the way it was supposed to go, but they did something different. The horoscopes just drive me nuts completely. In previous episodes, in particular, Father shared the importance of receiving revelation from God in many of his exorcisms. He or a member of his team will sometimes, during or prior to an exorcism, receive an impression which they believe is a word from God.

These words are usually encouragements or insights that ultimately work to help bring about the liberation of the victim. I found it interesting that divination and psychic words, while being demonic and or origin can on the surface seem to be similar. Jen was at times giving very accurate information, but there is a huge difference, not just the source, one being from God, but also demons are not predicting the future, and these demonic counterfeits are not building up a deeper relationship with God. No, I don't even tend to go down that road, honestly.

Prophecy is declaring the Word of God, right? So we have the Word of God, which is the Bible, of course. And the thing is, I'm glad you brought up because psychics are not prophets gone wild. That's what I say. I was not a prophet gone wild. I didn't have any spiritual gift, obviously, without the Holy Spirit. So psychics are not just transitioning into prophets or anything like that. My spiritual gifts are evangelism and teaching and things of that nature.

However, you talk about the sensitivity. So psychic attacks, I have had psychic attacks. And that I have had about a handful of time since I've been saved, which is where I've actually gotten information psychically about somebody. And it's horrible. But the thing is that I know what to do when that happens, maybe a fast. Of course, praying. I'm in my word every day. I'm in church every Sunday. So of course, they have no victory. I think Satan is the tempter trying to tempt me back, why would that be tempting to go back to demons when you know what demons are? But I think they are trying to do that, giving you this information or trying to get me back into servitude to them,

which will never happen. Many Christians seem to be drawn to the occult because they already have a framework and a belief in the supernatural. Many have heard of fringe practitioners calling themselves Christian tarot card readers or Christian diviners. Jen reiterates that sin is tempting and alluring, and you want to flee from it. There's a reason we are admonish to stand firm and to resist the devil. One, because Satan is very tempting. He's the master of deception. He's an illusionist.

It's all smoke and mirrors. And if the Christian doesn't know, if the Christian hasn't read the Bible fully or heard about divination in the church, they may be tempted to this instant gratification, This idea of hidden knowledge, they might confuse it with something that is Christian. The enemy loves to mix the new age with Christianity, which of course you cannot. But he likes to make you think that you can. The Christian becomes very vulnerable when they suffer when they're in pain, when they're grieving. And if Satan could package his dirty work, his darkness, in something that looks

godly, healing, helpful. The Christian is certainly going to be tempted. Yet, we know that God gives us an exit out of that. So it's extremely important for the true Christian to read the Bible every day and to know and to be educated about divination and the attempts of Satan and his booby traps. In closing, we asked Jen to give us her encouragement, having escaped from her past life and bondage to the occult. Like so many who have found freedom, her zeal for God, is matched only by her gratitude that she escaped. Unsurprisingly, Jen reminds us to go to God with everything and not to settle for a counterfeit. To stay far away from it, no matter how the music industry promotes it, glamorizes it, no matter how Netflix

presents it to you, whether you see the dark parts of it that are blatantly dark or people like me or these crystal shops, metaphysical shops, spiritual centers, stay away. stay away from people that call themselves Christian psychics, Christian witches. This is very common, especially on TikTok. Social media is a breeding ground for the occult. My friends, please stay away because no matter how Satan's going to make it look, that's what I keep driving home. He is the master illusionist, smoke and mirrors.

However, he's going to make it look, it's still the same thing. It's demonic.
