Get out of my son, you see. I already destroyed him. Welcome back to the Exorcist Files, a biblical bilocation into the Bohemian Beyond. I'm your co-host, Ryan Bethay, and today we end your long-held suspense by bringing you part two of the eye of the holder. Where we last left off, Father Wyatt was exercising a young man named Justin, who had fallen in with a local gang, and who, in the ensuing aftermath, found himself to be a victim of possession, a demon identifying himself as Leviathan came forward. Father Wyatt got to work, attacking the afflicting spirit with the church's prayers. While Father Wyatt has his team assembled for the session, unbeknownst to him, Gary, his dear friend and recently recruited holder, has a dark

secret he's been hiding, and much to the puzzlement of everyone in the room, the demon's ire seems to be far more targeted at Gary than Justin. As always, listener discretion is advised. This episode has some very intense moments. Now let's bring back the one priest who always holds our attention, the one and the only, Father Martins. It is often the case that a victim has multiple demons at once. This should come as no surprise. The infamous Garracine Demosene Demosch, the account of whom is mentioned in all three synoptic gospels, identifies himself as legion because he is one of many inside the victim. So the question is how to face off against multiple demons. The first thing I do is ask God to cut off their communication with one another. If they cannot

communicate with one another, then they cannot help each other, nor can they coordinate together against my attack. I myself have no power to do that, nor does any exorcist, but God sure does. So I beg that he does that very thing, because if you can disrupt an enemy army's communication, then you prevent them from mobilizing at full strength as a team. As a best practice, an exorcist never takes on a pack of demons at once, though the demons would like nothing more than if he did. Of course, Jesus is the exception. In the account of the garrisoned demoniac, who was possessed by Legion,

Jesus took on legion and cast them all out at once. Of course, when you are God himself, that's your ability and prerogative. The rest of us are different. After Leviathan emerged, Father Wyatt began the process of identifying any other demons inside Justin. Leviathan, how many demons are in there with you? More than you can count, asshole. In the name of Jesus, answer me, how many? Sent him too is just like your pitiful followers.

In the name of Jesus, tell me the other one's name now. I want his name now. Not till you give me the name of his new guy. He's got some muscle on him. Oh, what a grip. Hold me, holder. Leviathan claimed there was one other possessing demon, whom he identified as abandonment.

Demons are well organized and operate in a hierarchy. They have leaders and follow a command structure that parallels that of the angels in heaven. When encountering multiple demons, the immediate question is, who do you go after first? The demons will certainly have their preferred order of possessors, one they have tailored for their success.

They will always have the main possessor, for example, squarely in the center, so that to get at him, you have to go through the others. In addition, they may have other foot soldiers, demons who are not possessors, because they have no rights to possess, but who are connected with the demons who do. These can be summoned and employed to length strength to the possessors. They will be present in the room. A foot soldier demon may pretend to be one of the critical ones, whose presence holds the victim in bondage,

while he is simply a kind of mercenary. You battle him thinking you are gaining ground, but when he is beaten, another peon is presented to you, only for you to do the same again. The upshot being that you waste your time and energy and gain no ground over the main possessor and cause no damage to him. Obviously, it is in the exorcist's best interest

not to let the demons choose the order in which I exercise them. So how does an exorcist choose? Myself, I leave the decision up to God and let him pick the demon. It's impossible for God to be deceived, and so I ask him to bring forth a demon he desires we deal with first. Abandonment, what rights do you have over Justin? Mind your own fucking business. It's a family.

In the name of Jesus, tell me your rights. His father left. So we're his father now. He hates his earthly father, and we have plans for our dearest son. You are not his father, and he is not your son. Lord God of heaven, you who created Justin in love, I thank you for your goodness in love. I ask you to be present to us now, especially to Justin's heart. Justin, I speak to you now.

I need you to sever the ties to this demon by forgiving your earthly father. His father lies with us. It's in his vein. That dirt shit. He was left so filled with drugs that even the worms and the grave don't eat him. He just said so a moment ago

as we massaged him with our own. Silence, demon. St. Joseph, foster father of the Lord. Pray for us. Be present to us. now. We'll not speak that name. We ask for your intercession against this vile filth.

That, ruined it! Rewind it all! Make him stompenter! Justin, I speak to you now. You must forgive your father. He was sick. The drugs destroyed his mind. He didn't mean to leave you.

He chose heroin. There's a special place in hell for that sick. Like him. He's in that place now, screaming. Grimy. Justin, sweetly.

Justin, your father loved you, and your heavenly father loves you. Why did he leave me? Why did he leave me? He left him and I alone. I'm so sorry about that, Justin. To be free, you must have mercy on your father. You must forgive him.

He was a broken man. Open your heart to forgive him. Say it with me. I forgive my earthly father. Oh, no. I can't. Justin, you must. Demon be silent.

I command you to bring forth Justin and then to remain quiet and still. At that moment, Father Wyatt felt a nudge to invite Justin's mother to play a more active role. She had been watching the entire ordeal and, to her credit, remained rock solid, continuing in prayer. As she watched her son toss and turn, she spoke to him,

like a mother would speak to a toddler who was hurting from sickness or an injury. She came over, put her arms around him, and spoke to him as only a mother can. Son, your father loved you. He was a sick man, but he loved you. He didn't mean to leave us. Don't believe those lies. Jesus loves you. I love you.

Your dad loves you. You're my son. And your son of the king. Jesus, bring my son. Please bring my son. Help him to let it all go, God. Help him.

Oh, God. Justin. I speak only to Justin now, and I command that no demon interferes. Good and holy St. Joseph, you who raised the son of God in your home, hold this demon in every demon at bay and do not allow him to interfere.

Justin, Justin, repeat after me. I forgive my father. I... I... I forget my father. And he's my thinking son. I won't let him.

He'll soon be suckling between my legs and hell like a proper son does. Silence, demon. He forgave his father. Do you have any more rights keeping you in place? I have more rights, Smig rights at your nickname.

In the name of Jesus, be silent. In the name of Jesus Christ, the God, man. In the savior of the world, he who was raised by the Holy Family and Nazareth, answer me truthfully without any taint of lying. Do you have any more rights? Yes. How many?

And what are they? In forever and I will never be undone. It is impossible to undo. Tell me now what it is. It is Christ himself who orders you. Piece of shit. Father who abandoned him for the needle. He's now one of our prized wars in hell.

We stick him with fresh needle. And he gets sticked with other things too. We stick him deeply. Three relationships were wounded at the fall. Adam and Eve's relationship with God, Adam and Eve's relationship with one another. But the one almost always forgotten is Adam's relationship with himself

and Eve's relationship with herself. In other words, after the fall, it became possible for me to hate myself. The human psyche is peculiar. It will blame itself for the most absurd things, things over which it has no control and therefore no fault. Justin's father suffered from drug addiction, and he tragically died of an overdose.

For some strange reason, Justin believed he was somehow responsible, or at least deserved the outcome of a dead father. However, Justin came to believe that lie, it is a wound that necessitated healing for his liberation. Father Wyatt knew this and went to work. But Justin Your father was a sick man He merits pity I've prayed for his soul every day since his passing And he needs you right now

He needs you to have mercy on him And to fight this demon and get free He wants his son to be free The demon wants you to believe that there's no hope for your father or for you But we serve the Lord of Heaven Who has a happy ending for all who hope in him So, make just a kicker of that for you. Orsula.

Lord Jesus Christ punished the demon severely for his belligerence. Send your foster father to silence him. Great St. Joseph, beat this demon with your staff and injure him so severely that he will comply with your every command. Let him see the radiance of your face. So that he can see what a loving heart. father looks like. Justin. Justin, repeat after me. I forgive myself. Having a father who was addicted. Father. For having a father whose addiction killed him.

Eating love of a father. Before we can come to a place of healing, we often have to confront our inner poverty, the poverty of our inaccurate self-image. This is part of the tragic fate of humans. We easily believe lies about ourselves,

and although they keep us in emptiness and pain, we guard and protect them, believing they're all we have. We believe they are the truth. To be free, Justin had to confront the poverty of his self-image, which had been overgrown with lies. Father Wyatt knew how to get him there. I forgive myself for being too weak, too small, too powerless to be able to stop my father's death. Come on, Justin.

I forgive myself for needing him. Abandonment. Do you have any more rights? No. Then live up to your name and abandon us. In the name of Jesus, I mind you and cast you out now. The moment a demon is expelled is often a good time for a 10-minute break.

Some of the team members went to the restroom while others sat and sipped water. Justin still had tears running down his cheeks and was being consoled by his mother. Despite the victory over abandonment, Deacon Charlie couldn't shake the feeling something was off. He approached Father Wyatt, disconcerted by the barbs the demon, was directing at Gary. A deacon, it never gets old, does it? That's an understatement. Father, could I, could I say the way the demon keeps taunting Gary is nagging at me? Yeah, that's probably because he's the new guy. You remember your first time, how the demon kept reminding you and your wife how poorly you were. It was so rude.

Made me lose 25 pounds, though. But seriously, something seems off with Gary himself. Yeah, I picked up on that, too. I asked him, but he said he's just tired. Okay. He may have trouble going on at home or at work, I don't know. True. The devil could be trying to use that to unhinge him.

Yeah, that would be the devil's way. Have Gary and the victim ever met? Not that I can think of. I mean, I can't imagine where. It's so strange. The way the demon taunts him, there's this strange familiarity. You might be on to something. I'll talk to him. Okay. It can't be too careful. Father Wyatt approached Gary and did a check-in with him. This exorcism was much more intense than the two in which Gary had previously. previously participated, and father wanted to see how he was holding up. Well, what do you think, Gary?

I'm not going to lie. This is wild. Hey, how are you feeling? Old Scratch has been picking on you. Oh, I'm good, father. It's just words. Gary, he's got his eyes on you. You're the new guy. It's just a little demonic hazing. What do you mean by that? It's a battle in there, man. And if you're not up for it for any reason, just let me know. We got one demon out, and we can postpone it. And we can postpone it. in the session? No, no, no, no, no, I'm fine.

Look, it's just some issues with Jenny. We can talk, but, Father, right now, I'm just excited to see this kid get free. Okay. Well, let's get this thing done. After you, Father. Amen. It can be a ploy to weaken the team.

Are you someone with a particular feature? Are you someone concerned with a particular feature of your appearance? You bet demons will go after that. Are you insecure about an area of your life? a close friend of Father Martens who has worked in Exorcism Ministry for years, serving as a holder from the time he was 16. tragically, Dave recently lost his wife who succumbed to cancer at only 40 years old, leaving behind five young children. Dave shared that following his wife Amber's death, each time he participated in an exorcism to get under his skin, the demons claim to have killed his wife. Can you imagine, these foul fiends are monsters. They will say anything. Exorcism is not for the faint of heart. Having now removed abandonment, Father Wyatt to call forth Leviathan.

Justin, you're doing great. We're going after the remaining demon, okay? Leviathan, I order you to come forward. After a demon has manifested in an exorcism, summoning him again is much easier than it was to initially flush him out. If a demon has flushed out, it means that a lot of his machinations and designs

have already been bulldozed out of the way. The membrane that gave him cover, so to speak, has been torn open. Are you the last one? The friend is gone, isn't he? East on my friend. I command him. I am his general superior. He'll get his.

All traitors get theirs. Do you still possess rights over Justin? Yes. What are they? Shit face! What are they? Sifter. up in your tongue of your ship-filled ass.

He made a promise. He's mine. Everyone, join me in prayer. Lord, we ask you to come to our aid. Weaken this demons' hold. Punish him for his defiance and belligerence. Lord God, send your angels and saints to combat him and force him to comply.

You're right, demon. Tell me your rights. Now he's finally being for tears. Right, mother! Eyes is healing up now, Mom. You should have cut this heartless book of Sonny Horst to shreds while he was still in your womb. Then you would have got him up the table and the fucker would have slid out of you in bits and pieces in a flow of lightless. Demon in the name of Jesus, please, silence.

The demon revealed the deed. of the initiation and how Justin and other members had cut themselves and sworn a blood oath to the leader. While the initiates probably viewed their actions as a mere outward sign of loyalty, they had no idea they were actually bonding themselves to a demonic entity. Demon, did all of your rights come from the blood oath? Mother is insane. In the name of Jesus, are all of your rights bound up with the blood oath? Sorry.

Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, kid. Sorry, good for nothing for our mother. Sorry, worm-filled running corpse, father. You'll all be with me soon. Everyone, we'll together. Echacrucum dominie. Father Wyatt took a crucifix, faced it towards the demon, and started chanting.

Ech Ech Ech Echichichem, domini. Ech Echichichem domini. Echichichichum domini. Ech cruci and dominion. Echek cruci and dominion. Echekchum domi. Echon cruz and dominie. Echon cruz and dominie.

Echre cruci and dominie. Echum dominie. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Chanting is bullshit. The one on that cross, never you all. Lord Jesus Christ, the demon denies the very event that ruined him. event that ruined him. On the cross, you promised the good thief that that very day he would be with you in paradise. You asked your father to forgive your crucifiers because they did not know what they

were doing. And you cried out, it is finished, declaring that nothing was unfinished. And three days later, you spoke your greatest word when you rose and left the tomb empty, devoid of a body, devoid of death. Your loudest word was your trampling of death. And yet this belligerent sower of lies, this gutter dweller who resides in eternal darkness, claims that you, the Almighty God, never left the tomb? Lord, send now the angel that announced your rising to shut this demon in his own tomb, and let him feel it acutely. Shut up, you, peace, blessed.

Send poor holy angel to shut up this disobedient one, who has become a stain in history, a shame to himself and to no one else. Send your holy angels to shut him in his own tomb, where he hears nothing but these words of condemnation as a just justice for his defiance and belittance. Eat your word. I care it soon. Demon?

You will allow Justin to speak. Justin, I know you can hear me. Do you renounce the blood oath you made during your gang initiation? Yes, I am. I mean, yes, I do. Really, sorry for it. I wish I had never did it. It's too late.

It's too late. It's not too late. He made the oath of baptism before that one. That made him a child of God and entitled him to God's mercy whenever he desires it. And he just did. You're doomed, Leviathan. In the mighty name of Jesus, I cast you out of him and ordered you never to return.

At that moment, Gary seemed to faint, rolling over on his left side. Leviathan took the arm that Gary was holding, with lightning speed and in one fluid motion, punched each of the other two holders. Then he stood up, head-butted Father Wyatt in the face, and slapped Tammy so hard that she fell backwards off her chair. Everyone was in shock that a demon this severely weakened and it was all but defeated seemed to gain strength from nowhere causing a violent outburst.

By this time, Gary was on his feet and charged Leviathan who quickly picked up the muscular man and threw him eight feet in the direction from which he came. Gary tried to get up quickly, which he did, but was heavily favoring his hip and couldn't be. walk. No one was expecting this level of violence, especially this late into the session, when so many demonic rights had already been revoked. After being punched, Father Wyatt could not trust his balance and drop to one knee. From a kneeling position, he commanded. In the name of Jesus, get back in that chair and sit still. The two other holders took hold of

Justin's body and pushed him back into the large oak chair. Pobbling, Gary tried to take his place back at the left arm, gripping at the bicep, just before the elbow. It's a good squeam. Touching, Gary. Not your wife. She's so lonely. Maybe I should give her a little touch.

Gary, adore him. Oh, priest, Gary's been a bad boy. Bad, bad boy, he's hot stuff, real hot stuff. Another, lippian, deacon, hit him with Holy Wark. You, you'll pay for putting this red that sticking stone on me. It bards! Stop! Everyone.

Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace again. Leviathan was still manifesting with tremendous power. It baffled Father Wyatt. Justin repented of the oath he had taken. He had forgiven his father, and he forgave himself for the false guilt he was carrying. All this should have nullified Leviathan's power, but he was stronger than ever, stronger than at any point he was earlier.

And he seemed to be getting stronger. This meant one thing. Some other right had to be. present. Father Wyatt moved in for the checkmate and isolated. It didn't go according to plan. Leviathan, do you have any rights over Justin? You have any more rights? Very well. In the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit, I ordered you to depart from this child of God now. Are you okay? Mom? Justice, he's free father. He is free. Thank you, Jesus. Is it over?

I feel lighter and better That's because you are, Justin Praise God, Halloween What's happening? Gary! Are you okay? Wow! Much better here.

Roomier in here. What? Gary! Can't wait your fuck all my honey! And just like that, the game changed. Father Wyatt had a massive problem. One possession gave way to a much stronger possession. He didn't want to believe it, but he knew what had happened.

The demon had jumped into his holder. Tammy, Justin, out now. Deacon, help me. Get him down. So wrong, the prince. I have a new smart. So much better in here. Hot stuff. Heart stuff. In Jesus name, I command you, be still. No, I command you, sit guzzler. Oh, this is nice. I have a much tighter. Oh! Secure him! Leviathan! Is that you? Who else would it be? Face! And so the holder now became the held.

Large, black belt, strong and muscular Gary was now the new playground for Leviathan, who rolled his body around the floor like the strands of a mopped. God help us. How did I not see this? Leviathan, how did you get into Gary? Your perverted helper has a little slut on the side. Oh, he likes to make her.

scream and moan loves to go there and make her his own, his very own. He was there yesterday. He still smells like her down there. Come have a sniff while it's fresh. In the name of Jesus be silent. Come here, please. In the name of Jesus be still, demon. Down a holder and dealing with a man of great natural strength. And now preacher natural strength to boot. Father Wyatt and the other holders struggled to keep Gary on the ground, who raged against them. Father Wyatt took one end of his priestly stole and placed it on Leviathan. Lord, send your angels. Jesus gave us strength. Bind this demon now. Take your tampon off me. I already said. His heart let me in. Spread her legs and in we went over and over again.

What rights demon be specific? The two became one. The two became one. He is one with me. Left his wife for a whore. But more, he mocked and refused to God forgiveness. He learned and said he was clean. He wasn't clean.

He was me. When he came here, I was already inside him. One can only imagine what Father Wyatt had going through his mind. Not only was his friend possessed, but Fring him was going to be much harder than Fring Justin. Justin knew what he was doing was wrong, but he never knew demons were at stake. Gary knew that very thing. Father Wyatt did not know the catastrophic effect of bringing Gary to the exorcism. At the end of the day, however, there is no way to know the state of someone's heart.

And although Father Wyatt knew that, that Gary alone subjected himself to the danger of being part of the session that day, he was distraught for having invited Gary. After taking a moment to compose himself, he started barking orders towards Leviathan again. When he did so, however, all hell broke loose. Jesus, help Gary now. Gary, I'm talking to you. renounce the affair Leviathan I command you to let Gary speak

my hands will do the speaking he you robed one Leviathan broke his arms and with lightning speed gouged the two holders he went straight to Father Wyatt

and hen budded him a second time sending him falling backwards. Now, Gary was on the loose. All that remained was the intercessory team who stood in horror at what was transpiring. Guess God doesn't answer all prayers, does he? My home, new digs. My home.

Stronger than before. Look at you fucking idiots. to a God who never listens. Leviathan strolled out of the chapel laughing to himself. And just as he did, the rod of St. Joseph on the statue broke in three pieces, falling to the floor. Well, I know that wasn't the ending you thought it was going to be. This extraordinary case brought up many questions for me, the first of which was, just how rare is this? We've heard of demons jumping into priests in the movie.

you the exorcist, Father Carus invites a demon into him to try and rescue the young girl. But that's about the extent of which I've heard of it. For Father, he hasn't really seen this dynamic that often. I have only heard of a demon jumping into another person two other times. It is extraordinarily rare for this to happen, and it should be. Everyone in the room is trained and prepared for an encounter with the devil, and everyone is exhorted to receive the sacrament of confession beforehand. But a priest exorcist is not omniscient. And he doesn't know if someone has been to confession or not.

By repeating the exhortation, Father Wyatt had done the best he could. Naturally, as I Monday morning exercised this case, I did find myself wondering, why does the exorcist not eliminate any doubt about confession by insisting that everyone on his team go directly to him for confession before the exorcism? Confessing one's sins has the highest. level of confidentiality there is in the Catholic Church. Everything told in confession is held under what the church calls the seal of confession, meaning that it can never be divulged for any reason whatsoever.

In this way, the one confessing can be confident that the contents of his confession will never be revealed. Nevertheless, the church never mandates that one must go to a particular priest for confession. Yes, in confession you are confessing to Christ himself, and the priest is merely a vehicle such that any priest will do. But from the perspective of the penitent, not all priests are the same. Because of a relationship they may have with the priest, they may be embarrassed to divulge certain things to him. The church understands this, and while every priest's absolution is the same as the next, she never forces a penitent to divulge his sins to any particular priest.

Gary's case points out an interesting dynamic. While the request for him to assist with the exorcism came unexpectedly, he had ample time to go to confession. The simple truth is that Gary had formed a relationship with the devil long before he got into the room. He was in mortal sin. the demon merely capitalized on it at a time when it was maximally beneficial to him. You cannot go into battle against the devil if you are not on God's side. There are only two sides, the devils and gods. If you're not on God's side, then guess whose side you're on. That enabled the demon to switch into another possession.

To say that a demon jumps is a bit of a misnomer. To our human perception, the demon appeared to jump out of Justin and into Gary. Physical creatures travel from one place to another. Demons existing outside of time and space do not travel at all, because they don't have to. All of physical reality is equally available to them. The mistake we often make is to think of demons, or angels for that matter, as things existing inside. the physical universe. They are not. Think of them as existing in a realm beyond and outside physical reality, but having access to all that reality simultaneously. This is why, for example,

the same demon can possess multiple people at once. Furthermore, when we perceive them as moving into a different person. They're not actually moving, but merely exercising their rights over the other person at that moment. For our well-versed scriptural listeners, they at this very moment are probably crying out, what about Daniel chapter 10? Well played. In the book of Daniel chapter 10, there's a very interesting passage that discusses how the angel Gabriel was delayed by 21 days by the prince of Persia, which seems to indicate that the angel is in fact traveling and was some of the angel. somehow prevented from arriving to their destination. The rest of Scripture, though, seems to show them just showing up instantly.

So, what's going on here? First, we need to remember that this is one verse in the context of many other examples. We would do well not to try and build an entire theology off it. Secondly, there are multiple possibilities. Perhaps when angels come into the temporal realm, they at times take on some constraints of our world. Or perhaps this delay was simply spiritual and referring to God's sovereign timing of answering Daniel's prayer at the exact right of the right of, time and refers to some spiritual battle that was happening outside of time. We just don't know. There's some very interesting metaphysical questions that we can't solve because unlike angels,

we do live inside of time. And time, well, it's a real tough thing. Now when it comes to the targeting that Gary was experiencing, it's worth noting that many of the exorcists we have interviewed on the show will talk about demons attempting to intimidate and retaliate against people in the room. For some, like Father Barton, the attempted intimidation following after the exorcism with him was finding flies in his chalice during the Eucharist, or the phone ringing at random times with no one there. Given that, it doesn't seem that strange that if someone is in a state of mortal sin and in relationship to evil, that targeting and retaliation could take on an exponential severity, especially in the room. What happened was tragic. Gary obviously should never

have accepted the invitation to assist with the exorcism in his compromised state. Like so many of us, he underestimated the severity of his sin. Humans downplay, rationalize, and justify their sins. But it took the death of the Son of God to bring about the forgiveness of every one of them. Gary gave in to two pervasive and extremely insidious lies. First, he reasoned that since he fell badly about having sin, sinned and had planned on confessing that he had already dealt with his sin. While God honors a contrite heart, there is an enormous difference between contrition and actual repentance. Repentance

literally means to turn and go the other direction. Gary decided to follow the path to repentance, but he did not actually embark on the journey. The second lie is the minimizing of his sin. Gary reasoned that because he was just serving as a holder and not actually conducting the exorcism, having sin on his soul didn't matter as much as it would for the priest. In believing that lie, Gary became the escape hatch for the demon. Leviathan was able to go into the exorcism with an ace up his sleeve. Father Wyatt knew Gary, trusted him, and, to be fair, asked him if he was good to go several times. There is only so much vetting an exorcist can do.

And given the relationship the two men had, one can understand, from a human perspective, how Gary would have felt ashamed to tell his spiritual mentor about his enormous moral lapse. The failure was Gary's, pure and simple. Now there's a very big question here. Why wouldn't the demons stay hidden and just walk out with Gary? Wouldn't that be the smart plan?

Like Kevin Spacey's character in the usual suspects, why wouldn't a demonic entity just live to fight another day? I mean, why would he manifest at all? Well, as father shared in the season opener, just like the classic Motown song by the four tops, this demoniac sugar pie honey bunch couldn't help themselves. On the one hand, the smart move would appear to be to keep quiet about being inside Gary, walk out with him, and keep causing mischief while flying under everyone's radar. On the other hand, when was this demon going to find a more perfect stage to demonstrate his power, shame the life out of someone, and hurt the members of an exorcism team severely?

Demons want to show off, and so the demon jumps into Gary and lets the whole world know that there's a party going on inside him. Well, that was fun, right? To all the Gary's out there, we're really sorry. Your friends may have an eyebrow raised at you at the next barbara. We hope you enjoyed this fascinating, albeit probably disturbing case. And because this episode is far from Hallmark Channel approved, we do want to leave listeners on an optimistic note.

What happened here was tragic and rare, and it is simply a reminder of how serious spiritual warfare is, and one does not go into battle if they're not ready to fight. There are two morals of this story. One, if you need to get right with God, don't put it off. And two, you may want to think twice before listening to Donna Summer's smash disco hit. Hot stuff.
