Remember the blackberry, blackberry phones.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Yeah. A lot of people still use them, but it wasn't long before Steve Jobs and Apple thought they could outperform them with their new phone with their own phone. Time out the iPhone, do you sure? In a all new season of business wars. All right. You'll hear about how Blackberries and iPhones battled for their shares of emerging mobile phone market.
Starting point is 00:03:10 So what is business wars? Is that a podcast? It's podcast, dude. It's podcasts on business wars. It's iPhone versus Blackberry. What, once iPhones came along with the Blackberry, it was like a piece of rusty machinery. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Listen to business wars, iPhone versus Blackberry podcasts on Apple podcasts, Amazon music, or you can listen ad-free by joining Wondry Plus in the Wondry app. Well, we got Heber and Mars, the buttery bros. Jullian butter bros. The buttery homies. You know where we met. Where?
Starting point is 00:03:37 It's butter bros or buttery bros. Buttery, buttery, buttery, buttery. Yes, buttery, buttery. Because they are buttery. Yeah. Because by the way, the color of butter. Yeah, yeah. They look like it. The first thing I said when I looked at them as I went well grass fed butter that's
Starting point is 00:03:48 the first thing yeah there's skin couldn't be more buttery yeah and I think you said that as well yep buttery voices they've got clear eyes and and full hearts full hearts and as a, I have to say this as a CrossFit Dillatant Dabler Admire from afar, I've seen, I didn't realize this until this morning, I've seen all your documentaries on fitness. But I told you when I came back from the Tough Mudder, because I met them at the Tough Mudder, because I did that with Mark and the, like, organized with Tough Mudder was like,
Starting point is 00:04:22 hey, do you mind running with the buttery bros? And I was like, what? And they were like, do you, and I was like, are they really in good shape? She said, oh yeah. And I was like, I'll probably light in the back. Like, no, I'm gonna do she. So you guys come back to me, not fuck.
Starting point is 00:04:36 And then you were Jason too, who's fucking red, Phil. So this can be a nightmare. When you show up, it's those three. But then we were all like it's weird The tough mother's great because you're like a team. Yeah, it was like Experience yeah trying to set a time to beat her Show me them on the thing I thought to be honest that you were just you were like Instagram influencers with nice
Starting point is 00:05:02 Told you know I came on like they're bees. Well, they're legit filmmakers. Yeah. Again, I've seen literally all your work except for your latest one. I know all that Matt Frazier and all the people that I've admired, all these CrossFit athletes. I'm honored. But even on the YouTube, the buttery bros YouTube,
Starting point is 00:05:22 like I said in close to my team, like, bro, we got a separate game. Oh, dude, thank you. Thank you. Keep coming by tires, little bit of a game. We have a good time, man. Where did the name buttery bros come from? So for a while, we worked at four crossfit headquarters,
Starting point is 00:05:35 as filmmakers and producers there, and we'd be shooting stuff around the sport. And anytime we'd be shooting something and it was well composed and well shot and smooth, and sometimes it's slow motion, we'd be like, hey, come check out the shot, it's buttery. Oh.
Starting point is 00:05:48 And so then when we were starting our own thing, it was like we shoot all butter all the time. So that's the official name of our company is all butter. And then for our YouTube, specifically, it was buttery bros, because. Got that mix of bros, yeah. And you got that sort of Mormon slash Germanic discipline. Yeah, he's the Mormon, you know, straight teeth
Starting point is 00:06:06 and crooked smiles. Yeah, you wouldn't think it, you're the missionary haircut right now. Yeah, I know, I got a petal symbol. I'm here frowned upon in the more, I don't know too much about Mormons. I have Mormons in my family. My mom keeps trying to tell me that I need to cut it. And I'm like, I've seen pictures of Jesus.
Starting point is 00:06:20 I'm like, this is how his design works. I would kill for hair like that. Me too, man. I would fight you. Hey, I would kill for you. I've been trying to tell me to get a wig for every. Dude, I'm so depressed. I was watching me do those burpees and the light was on my head. I couldn't look more both. You could tell me that. I thought you knew. I don't know. You could be a little you could tell me that I didn't I thought you knew I don't know I think you know you have a like a red like yeah, I got a little fucking strawberry Russian I got a politician. Yeah, I'm not happy with my head dude. Moose in the clear
Starting point is 00:06:53 I thought you knew what's going on. Wait, it doesn't cover when you're 54 you know that next year It's not better. You guys can still be like next year. I'm gonna put on five pads of my song a little stronger for me You just try not to shit your pants. I'm trying to shit. Yeah. I woke up this morning. This morning, this morning, my my 32 year old fiance said you look like you're made of wood your feet are you wearing clogs imaginary clogs because I I had to warm my fucking feet up And I would have went and when it gets worse from here girl only gets worse from here And then I said really and I turned around she went You're a lot younger from the waist down. Yeah
Starting point is 00:07:31 I'm I'm glad you to the workout today because we did a workout with these guys I didn't want to embarrass myself. I know you you would have been fine. We to be honest We could have used you. Yeah, we could have used you because the way we did it Yeah, is they did our meathead stuff first. The first half was our meat. So like strong strong speaking of which he can bench the house. Some weight, man. For plates, man. Well, don't get into that. He's band, man. He's got that gorilla strong. He's a silver back and the rest of us are monkeys. We understand that right? Yeah. He's on a different level. Yeah. Well, we threw we threw our fruit at him.
Starting point is 00:08:05 And sometimes it's on time. It makes fun of me. Sometimes our poo. We're in the branches. We're in the branches. We're in the branches, actually. And he's a groundweller. Yeah, but they got us.
Starting point is 00:08:13 They got us. I mean, they didn't. Fine on the bad. But then the last half was the more dynamic cardio crossfit. Now, Chappelle is a little bit of a crossfit. So we did. So we did, we broke up. So you got to see how it's supposed to look. It was the thick boys, with the buttery bros.
Starting point is 00:08:28 Okay. Three on three. And the mark was there? Mark was there. Okay. With a big mark. Very curious, Mark has a fucked up back. So Mark was not 100% his burpees.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Wow, they're me. But the thing is, is so you would sprint down on a sled, sprint back, and then you gotta do 10 burpees. And the other person can't start to that person's done Oh, that's a nightmare and we were all right on the sprints, but then the the burpees burpees The break you should should I lost this the race. Well, she'll hell. Yeah, she'll hell. I hate to point fingers He was he was a little toasty after too You know, I think unique I think comic think strong, I think backflip,
Starting point is 00:09:07 but I don't think endurance. Yeah. Now, some of you guys should know about Chappelle. He's a world champion cheerleader. That's what he said. I'm a skinny world champion cheerleader. Wow. So on state like our fans know so, and he's my feature, so when he goes on the road with
Starting point is 00:09:20 us, he'll get Donnie, he'll crush it and the crowd will go back flip, back flip, and his big ass will do it back. You can back flip back flip and his big ass do back Holy shit. Oh here you go. Is there right here? Yeah, he's wrong. There's a bunch here. That's your fellow Wow, is that Wesley's night? Any more questions? Yeah, man. Yeah, I did not know he's a bad ass dude Whoa, he's in San Jose tonight you folks go see him San Jose San Jose improvs headline his own show tonight I would love for him that is amazing. I would have loved to have seen this. Oh, yeah, he'll do that right now So I don't know if we'll do that now his cardio's not he likes the skateboard now
Starting point is 00:09:56 Yeah, he's a free man the fuck I mean come on Wow, that's so impressive. I'm a being. Like the body awareness to do that is so impressive. Oh, and then this, this is very good, it's dangerous. It's about us. Wow. Yeah, about us. Oh, look at that. Shredded, shred city. Yeah, he was there, man. But, you know, these days, you know.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Look, father time gets to us all. Father time in food. And food. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and I'm not going to be the same after my burpees. We walk in, you know, introduce ourselves and you're like, Hey, what do you know about burpees? You feel like guilt because you missed the workout. You want to flex a little on them? I just I walked in and I saw them and I went I got excited about CrossFit and I and I was excited about because I was such a fan of their work And I you know sometimes you if you're thinking about CrossFit
Starting point is 00:10:51 I went for a walk this morning, so I just had some energy. I got a little secret I and I want to talk to you about this. You don't drink coffee. No, do you know what magic mind is now? Have you ever known me to take anything ever anything in all time? Just do it. Yeah, besides steroids But you ever know me to take anything, ever, anything in all time? Just steroids. Yeah, besides steroids, but have you ever known me to take, besides a lot of juice, but I've never, I don't take any supplements. I just don't. I don't believe in them. I said that I don't believe in them. I just, I just never felt any.
Starting point is 00:11:13 You don't think you need them. Right. So there's a guy who made all the money in the world. He's this huge angel investor and he had a hard thing so he couldn't drink coffee anymore. And I love coffee. So he comes up with this thing called magic mind, which is quarter set mushrooms, lions, mane, and different things.
Starting point is 00:11:30 It's think alpha brain, but... The four-sigmatic? It's not four-sigmatic. Have you had four-sigmatic? I have. I've tried these. This fucking... You're here, though. You're here, though.
Starting point is 00:11:41 I don't wanna talk about it. It makes me sad. Jesus Christ. He's sad. It makes me sad. He see me out the gate. Yeah, let's go I'm see if he can take this 50 and his pace kept up the whole time You know to get pace right and the jump that's the impressive you guys were so awesome because you were like cheering The on yeah, and the other thing is like as you're coming down you're slowing yourself So you get that eccentric load on the way down where I just drop and put my chest
Starting point is 00:12:05 I just like gravity I'm doing a lot of work down here you got some push-ups you didn't eat you don't want to win watch that and you have no interest in the weeks hey hey man hey it's not even a conversation with you
Starting point is 00:12:20 hey don't say wink to me it makes me mad I'm not getting a wig I will get another hair transplant if I have to But if you could if you don't mind first of all, I didn't know I was working with that and you've never told me that and then you let me I assume you let me in that lighting you let me get film like that. You're not a friend. I got to be honest with you You're not a friend and you quietly enjoy this shit. You look good man. I'm just gonna enjoy the game. Now I get bummed out when you're really swimming on that dome. Look at that. Fuck you all.
Starting point is 00:12:48 Fuck everybody. That's the truth. Look at that. I'm supportive. You did 50 out of the gate. You were going to have to pay. The only person I trust in is fucking right now. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:55 I don't trust people. I don't trust fucking people. He really looks at you. I don't know. I still don't trust you. You're still laughing and you're still like, I'm gonna hide. Hide with a pig.
Starting point is 00:13:03 I got to hide with a pig. I got to hide with a pig. I'm gonna hide with a pig. I'm gonna hide with a pig. I'm gonna hide with a I'm gonna hide, hide with a pig. Did I get bummed out when I came up? I turned 55 in January. You got quite a bit. I went quiet. How long went, how in in Dyson? I'm about to die soon. You're not in three.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Yeah, but that's what we ended up. So why is there a 50 per person? Yeah, and your mom, your mom's in good, you know, your mom's born. And I still have time to get on testosterone and other shit, which we haven't done yet. I've been putting it off. A.B., I know this is a little touchy subject for you.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Yeah. But two out of three men will experience some form of hair loss by the time the 35th. Yeah, well that'd be me, buddy. That'd be me. And we saw what I looked like under those lights. And I'm, dude, you could have saved it. Bolder by the day.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Dude, you could have saved it. Cause what do I do? Get a hair transplant? Prevention is key, but for you, it's too late. But for you other people, I don't look like Brian. My friends at Keeps, they offer a simple, simple, straight way to keep your hair. You have low cost treatment star just $10 per month.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Keep offers generic versions, all right? Keeps has more five star reviews than any of its competitors. Prevention is key, don't be like Brian. And by the way, the treatment can take four to six months to see results. And you will see results when you take Keeps. But just think about me on fucking test dude i've been fine with your do like told him i'd roll your skull big t-r-t don't be a wig though it makes me mad i don't like when you say
Starting point is 00:15:36 winger to be a semester alone no i'm not mad because he's a lot older dude i'm still young anybody who knows about hair transplant give give me a call. I need the best. It's in the... You gotta get a little help for that. You gotta get a little help for that. Okay, so you're a Mormon. Yeah. Get back to this.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Yeah, let's get back to this. I want to know if you're allowed to do this. So you can't take stimulants. So the... What's the rules? The rules are like, it's kind of vague and it's an older scripture that came out in the 1830s, right? So it's not like specific and the so the general idea behind the scripture in my opinion So I'm interpreting that right so take that as you would is to not have any addictions to have complete control over your body
Starting point is 00:16:16 Your temple. Yes, and so if you're reliant on coffee or tea or or Like I drink rain. I drink an energy drink and like if I'm addicted to that that to me is a problem so it's not necessarily like they don't want you to drink coffee they don't want you to have any to drink alcohol because they want you to be in full control of your body and your body needs to be able to perform at a high level. But if you want what's what's opposite of warming because that's what I do. I do nicotine.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Before I saw you guys, I did eight shots of a espresso. Okay. I did. I've already had whiskey today. You name it, dude. With the opposite. Am I going to hell? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:54 I want to see what you think of magic mind. I want to know. I use force and mad. I'm just obsessed with magic. I'm obsessed with it because the only thing I've ever done that actually replaces coffee. So it's like a pill? No, no, bring it up.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Bring it up. It's fucking Macha. So it's just like green tea, but then it's got lion's mane. It's got quarter-step mushrooms, which I got into when I was doing it when I had it from on it that the shit like gives you more endurance. Whenever the fuck it is I just drink. Oh, it's a drink. Macha adaptogens, Neutropics. Yeah, like green tea is like a trigger for I think a lot of more. Do this shit? His is a green tea kind of a gray area. I think I think just teas are Yeah, so could you do could you do these are okay, but green tees are like kind of a no Are you really yeah, I do like no like adaptions like that decrease stress and stuff like that
Starting point is 00:17:37 And that's that's what I'm saying is like they haven't like come out with a list of like you can take this this this this Like the general idea is like hey, we're gonna give you the general idea of what you want to achieve and let you kind of govern yourself right I mean that's like this is like it's a bottle of this fucking big yeah I'm curious and so for me like I'm like hey I might take some things or drink some things that might not be on that list if they wrote it out yeah but I take care of the other 95% of what's healthy about how much I'm eating or what I'm eating where a lot of people That would probably say like hey, you shouldn't be drinking that within my back. I don't think this is this isn't a
Starting point is 00:18:10 Stimulant like having because the guy who invented it has a heart thing. Yeah, so he that's why he did it And he did it the what I like about him is he didn't do it for money He has all the money in the world. He did it for himself. It's a stack. He was doing for years Oh, wow And I'm yeah, so and doctor said, you can take this because he was drinking like seven cups of coffee. He's like one of those guys who made $500 million for the same by the time he was 29.
Starting point is 00:18:31 And the doctor was like, so he goes, he did all this insane research and found out something that doesn't, and so the reason I like it is it doesn't, it doesn't give you that caffeine high. Yeah. It just gives you that fucking, it's the only thing I've ever done where I'm like,
Starting point is 00:18:44 it's just like a green chip. It's that fucking big, but it's like, what about sugar? Is that frown and powdered Mormon? Well, that's where I would say like, no, that's not a list where I would, I would kind of argue that, hey, I think there's an overconsumption of that and people are addicted to that. Yeah, that's what I know. And they're not, they don't draw attention to that, but they'll draw attention to green tea where there might be some benefit from that. So, so in my opinion, like, I don't worry so much about, I don't even tell anyone what to do or not to do, but my suggestion would be, hey, take care of what you're actually consuming on, like for food and nutrition.
Starting point is 00:19:15 But like with your, because you have two kids, about five and seven. Five and seven. With sugar, do you limit sugar for them? Sort of. I mean, at this point, I'm just trying to get them to eat. Yeah, it's like, hey, cheesecakes, tender, chicken this point. I'm just trying to get him to eat Yeah, it's like hey He's getting tenor Tender Yeah, well so you eat on your phone. Yeah, and you guys deal with the fittest athletes in the world So their nutrition is gotta be crazy on point, right? It's crazy how different they all are really like some athletes are very Diled in they know what macros are eating their concerned about where they're coming from and then others like
Starting point is 00:19:42 They know what macros they're eating. They're concerned about where they're coming from. And then others, they just trust Matt, the five-time world champion. What about in Pia? Bring up Matt Frazier. I don't know the CrossFit world. Yeah, I don't know. I can ring up Brooke Webb.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Under the head, like, million dollars. Name one crossfit. So we work with all these guys really closely for a really long time. And Matt, his incredible wife, Sammy, cooks for him. And I don't think he pays attention at all to what's... He he eating he just trust that she's provided enough caloric intake for her because they're burning so many calories and they just needed like get it back in. Yeah he does what's his nationality? I think he's Canadian. Yeah I think he was one of the guys.
Starting point is 00:20:18 How tall is he? He's like 5'8". Oh wow 5'7 right there. 5'7 more 95 and he's a beast. He's free count like the amount of work. It's solid and almost everything. He almost doesn't have any weaknesses. You gotta watch their, you gotta watch their docs. It's so impressive is the fact that they can give him any type of test and he's winning. Running sprinting. He's good at swimming.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Anything. Yeah, and he would take his weaknesses and make him a strength. So like one year he goes out and takes like Out of 40 people he takes 36 and a sprint. Jesus Christ next year second place in the sprint It's so insane and I think that he's just smarter than the rest of the competition Because a lot of a lot of super athletes will like hit workouts and then you get to the end of the workout And you'd be like what were you trying to accomplish there?
Starting point is 00:21:02 What was the intent and they were like? I don't know just to like do the workout and you'd be like, what were you trying to accomplish there? What was the intent? And they'd be like, I don't know, just to do the workout and get it done. And he's like, no, that's not the right way to think about this. You got to be like going into every workout. There has to be an intention and you got to know exactly what you're trying to get out of it. And he's the best at that. And I think that he's now training a bunch of athletes
Starting point is 00:21:18 how they do the entire- It does it a full time. So he's actually retired. He retired in the 20. And how old is he? 31. Yeah. It's so much bubble when you see what they do Like he didn't break if he didn't retire. He could have won for the next four or five years
Starting point is 00:21:31 He just yeah, so now who's the guy who replaces the guy that beat him and not beat him But he took third in 2020 and then won this last 2021 year Justin Madera's he's got a beautiful mullet Incredible mulls body. I need I need I need to talk about Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeahullet. Yeah, he's got a mullet. I need, I need, I need to talk about, thea. Yeah, I'm gonna talk about thea. Yeah, I'm gonna talk about thea. It's the town of the female. Yeah, she's so, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:49 That means he has a mullet. Oh, this guy's fantastic. Yeah, right. It looks like he's straight out of an, like, he's actually a movie. He's, uh, I think he's like 22. And he, he's just kind of popped on the scene in the last two years.
Starting point is 00:22:01 That looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he looks like, he years. Now he looks like, he looks like Theo and Michael Chailer had a baby. Yeah. By the way, are these guys, the champions mostly, under six feet? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:13 I don't think there's ever been a six feet. Like Rich Fronning is about five eight, right? Yeah, five eight five nine, I think it's a little taller, five nine. There's not like big guys. There are like Brent Fikowski's like six foot plus, like I would say, six one, maybe six two. And ways what?
Starting point is 00:22:25 Rare. Like two, two, three. He's kind of an outlier. They're outliers. There's like no six four, two, 50s. No, just because I mean, I think like, you might have a chance. The like five, eight, 185, the 200 range is like,
Starting point is 00:22:38 because there's a lot of gymnastics. Homeboy's pretty sure. So yeah, this guy was very specific about his nutrients and macros and stuff. So they're all over the map. All of them do different things. Yeah, most of them are, I would say a lot of them are just worried about how much they're consuming because they just need calories because they're burning so much.
Starting point is 00:22:55 And then some will take time and be like, hey, I really need organic raw food. You can lock it in. So the paleo thing, not so much. That was more than early days. And I think that that's kind of developed more to like a ketogenic diet. More ketone now. So meaning fats and proteins and very little carbs.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Well, no, I mean, I think like the competitors themselves are doing higher carbs because they need to. But as far as like general crossfitters, I think it's a little bit more. Yeah, I would say that because I mean, when you're training for health and longevity That's very different than training for sport and these guys are training for sport And so like I think their diet needs to be very different than what I would prescribe to like my dad
Starting point is 00:23:34 So do you have a do you have a Dietary philosophy? I have been doing macros for like a lot of time So I track like how many like how much protein carbs and fat I'm eating every day. How do you do that? I just use an app and a lot of times I'm on the road. My fitness pal can track macros. Yeah, most people I know who are in really good shape.
Starting point is 00:23:55 Yeah, when I was track macros, really. It's by far the best. And it's easy, it's easy to stay. And so you say fats, proteins and carbs. Yeah, and so if I go to a tripotle, like all of that's built into the app, and I can just say, hey, I got this breeder with just chicken and the side of this,
Starting point is 00:24:09 and it's gonna be off a little bit, just because I don't know how much chicken they're actually putting in, but when I'm home, like I will weigh chicken, I'll weigh fruity pebbles at night to make sure I get 45 grams of fruity pebbles. So that when I'm home, I'm really on it, and then when I'm on the road,
Starting point is 00:24:22 I just kinda like, I get what I can get most of the time, like I just forget to eat. Let me when I'm on the road, I just kinda like, I get what I can get. Most of the time, I just forget to eat. Let me just, where you just saw in the CrossFit? Like, where's this? The passion for CrossFit, you know what I'm saying? I think it's great, don't worry, I like your direct question. But like, we're, I think it was just kind of,
Starting point is 00:24:38 someone more balls deep in CrossFit. Well, it's funny, it's not something like, I played football and when we got out of college and stuff, it was just kinda like on the rise. And I was like, I'm not going to train the way I was training when I was playing football and stuff. And this training program kind of came out and it was interesting and it was kind of like that was the sport, was the training.
Starting point is 00:24:59 And I kind of just like I met Hebert in the early days and we started doing media for CrossFit. And then we ended up getting a job Then moving out there and we kind of just like wrapped our whole lives around it. The CrossFit headquarters Okay, CrossFit headquarters so that that would I don't know if they're necessarily based in Santa Cruz anymore But that's what we lived for about 10 years and then doing my research So you had the CrossFit headquarters and then the owner of what is it an owner of CrossFit at the time Yeah, at the time there's an owner of CrossFit He was like, hey, we're all set on media. We're good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:28 We're the media. Yeah, 2018. Yeah, what's his name? Um, Greg Glassman. Yeah, Greg Glassman. How many of you know, that's Holyo's a kid, didn't he? Yeah. Yeah. So if you ever see Greg Glassman who invented CrossFit, I think essentially he's got, he's got a bit of a disability, you know, and can you invent CrossFit though? What? What? I think it's just a day. It's weird to say now, because it's so prevalent, but I want to say like in the 90s and 2000s and even the 70s, like, he was going to do it.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Well, he had polio though, so he had disability. Yeah, but he would be coaching the athlete and he would be kicked out of gyms for the style of training they were doing. Yeah, but the meat and potatoes are CrossFit, that's been around for hundreds of years. So how can he claim? Well, all he did is put in an order and then develop like a collection. No, I think the philosophy though,
Starting point is 00:26:13 was that he said you can get a workout in three minutes, four minutes, 15 minutes. That's been around for years. That'll take for years. Well, I think the combination of Olympic lifting and things like circuit training together. So I think the intensity, I think the combination of Olympic lifting and things like circuit training together. So I think the intensity, I think he was the first. I think that they were kind of like the first one to they claim to to have defined what fitness is because like when
Starting point is 00:26:35 you would ask somebody what is fitness in the past, they would be like the act of being fit or x, y and z. The actual definition of the. I do think he did. He was kind of revolution. So he they defined it as a constantly very functional movement at high intensity. So that's kind of like the whole philosophy of CrossFit. I mean, you're an athlete, so maybe you were doing that stuff without realizing it, but I think for everyone. But everyone, he happened for most of us, like who weren't.
Starting point is 00:27:00 He just organized his own. Yeah, I would say he, like I had been doing burpees. I had been doing like, so like I told you before, like I would go swim, I would go box, I would go home and lift weights, and I was kind of doing CrossFit, but it wasn't organized in a way that like, I could do it all in one space, one time, four times.
Starting point is 00:27:16 And so he developed like, hey, we're gonna, we're gonna train like this, we're gonna put everybody's time on a whiteboard so they're competing against the community and that competition drives people to do better. But it was also where we're executives and regular people like myself would, where I was the first time I saw somebody say,
Starting point is 00:27:31 well, you're gonna climb a rope and run a quarter mile, climb a rope, run a quarter mile. And I was like, that sounds fucking impossible. I wanna do that. Or you're gonna do Fran. I was like, what the fuck is that? You're gonna do thrusters and pull-ups. Like I personally, as somebody, in wrestling we did something like that, the fuck is that? You're gonna do thrusters and pull-ups? Like I personally, in wrestling, we did something like that,
Starting point is 00:27:47 but not to that degree. I think it was like for people who didn't know this, it was just a new concept. Because think about every trainer in the world in LA, you would sign a for an hour. You'd go for it, they charge you for an hour. All of a sudden, this thing called the Wad of the Day, the workout of the day, was talking about about some of the workouts were four minutes, but you'd be done with it and
Starting point is 00:28:09 you'd be like, holy fuck and shit. I'm sure from the next three days. Yeah, I mean, the first thing I did for Fran, I thought there was something wrong with my fucking... I went to... There's a CrossFit gym called Amt in Seattle, here at Goether. Never been. It's a great fucking gym. And I joker boy over here, I go there and I go, I want to do CrossFit. And I don't, again, I was a little dabbler. And there are these 26 year olds and we were doing wall balls
Starting point is 00:28:36 and we were doing pull ups for time and then some of, and rows or something. I'm like, I guess I'll jump in because I'm in shape. Well, I took all the skin off my hands. I took all the skin. I looked down and I didn't have skin. I couldn't hold the mic, Baba. I had to wrap my, I had to bandage my hands
Starting point is 00:28:55 and I looked like a boxer. I think there's a video of it. I looked like the biggest asshole in the world. And oh, did I mention that I pulled my arms? That I, oh you had a dumb. I said to dumb, I go, I have to go to the doctor because I can't straighten my arms. Yeah, I pull them, because they swelled up.
Starting point is 00:29:10 I don't know if you've ever done it, but I look like the machine. I fucking destroyed myself, but it was the first time I learned. And that's when, like, Rado, my Alice, like, you heard of my Alice's? That's where you, that's where you, that's basically where you work out so much and with such high intensity that your muscles turned to liquid shit. Yeah, and your kidneys can't do anything with it.
Starting point is 00:29:31 So you go to the dog, you can dog. So in the early days across, they almost were, it was almost like a PSA of don't get rabdo by doing this, because you could, but they was almost like a badge of honor if you could do these workouts, not get rabdo, but it was kind of the first extreme fitness that just like destroyed people.
Starting point is 00:29:50 And then you guys have a background in film? Yeah, so I grew up like making videos. Like I was, I was, so my older brother was really into it. He's like 12 years older than me. And he would be making like skits for the high school assemblies. And at the time it was the 80s. So he did a movie, he did a skit called Back to the Future and he went back to the Future to find out how he got so cool as a senior in high school. And then I was cast as his younger version of himself.
Starting point is 00:30:15 So I'm like, do you have that hair? That's funny. You know, some locks. And so yeah, from that experience being in front of the camera, I fell in love with the process and like would edit from VHS tape to VHS tape and like, the second grade, and then made like, skate movies through junior high, and then just kept it up and started making
Starting point is 00:30:33 like, short films in high school. So then, when I realized my senior year of high school that I could do this as a job, then I put my mind towards, okay, I wanna try and go to school for this and get educated as a filmmaker. And you had to do too? Yeah, so like, I want to try and go to school for this and get educated as a filmmaker. You too. Yeah, so I was just kind of always drawn to video cameras and stuff, and I remember my parents
Starting point is 00:30:51 had the giant VHS, put a VHS. Oh, it's cool, yeah. Yeah, and I was always like, I want to play with that thing. It was just something that drew my attention. And then middle school, I signed up for a journalism class and they had those like original Mac computers that were like giant, but yeah, clear. But I had like video editing software on there and that was the first time that I like blew my mind
Starting point is 00:31:13 to be like, I can like manipulate all this and control everything and make a story. And that's when I was like, that's, if I can figure out a way to do this because it didn't feel like a job it felt like something that I could be creative and have you guys been to Iceland? Yeah, tell me why people from Iceland are that strong and that good. Yeah, I mean some in the water It's got to be like I think it's the just the Viking blood
Starting point is 00:31:37 They're good at crossfit. Oh, yeah So they're also like they have a different body type don't they are they super thick naturally to just am I wrong? I would say they're thicker and also like Thor the strong man guy like the mountain from the game of throne Yeah, like he's out of Iceland. It's land of the dry. Did you guys meet him at the tough mother? Yeah, yeah left But we got yeah, he's there. Yeah, he's super nice Dude, I mean some of the women some of the Icelandic yeah, so look up like any Thorestotter or Catherine Verdesotter. Yeah, because not the crossfit.
Starting point is 00:32:07 But does the Icelandic Crossfitters beat the Americans? So the women for a long time, like, anyone in 2011 and 12, and then she's been in the sports in 2009 and is still continuing to be on the podium. That's Sarah. Yes, Sarah. But Annie is specifically, and then her friend, Catherine, went on in 115 and 16. Hey, yeah, that's it. And has been on the podium. That's Sarah. The Annie is specifically, and then her friend, Katrin, went on in 115 and 16, and has been on the podium
Starting point is 00:32:28 a few times. She's crazy. So they've had someone from Iceland on the podium, basically, or in contention since 2009. Oh, look at our fucking abs. Look at that. She got the turtle fill. And like, I remember her as a rookie coming out in 2009,
Starting point is 00:32:40 not knowing how to do half the movements and still being just insanely fit and she she had those You know like a younger version of that ab What's crazy? She just she had a kid last year and she did and everybody was like Wondering if she was gonna make a comeback and then she ended up taking third Which is after having a kid? Yeah, it was like I think everybody kind of like she's not necessarily wrote her off But thought that she was well Brooke Wells, Brooke Wells, what used to be, from what I remember, please, is really beautiful, sexy, CrossFit gal,
Starting point is 00:33:12 but now she's a big-time competitor. Is that new? She's always been a competitor. Oh, she has. So, like, she came on the scene in her rookie year at like a lower-level tier competition and set the world record at her very first event that she competed at. Okay. Is she a tall woman? No, she's like five, five, ten, maybe five, nine again. lower-level tier competition and set the world record at our very first event that you competed at.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Is she a tall woman? No, she's like 5'10, maybe 5'9 again. That's pretty tall. And actually CrossFit has the prettiest athlete. Yeah, I agree. They're very pretty. Yeah, those are sports. I think for me, like why I love it is A, it creates beautiful people.
Starting point is 00:33:40 They are gorgeous people. Right, and by the way, in CrossFit, the rule is after your first set, you have to take your shirt off. You take a photo, look at it on the internet. This is a cotton restriction. Cotton allergy, for sure. Cotton allergy.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Gotta always lose your clothes. I don't, let me ask you this, you probably can't answer this, but is everybody fucking everybody? Because they couldn't be better looking. It's like these men and women that look like, like a god was like, this is what you're supposed to look like. What's like the Olympics like in where the village
Starting point is 00:34:10 is the average, just like the best athletes in the world. And they have to provide thousands of con. Yeah, and they go to them all elite athletes just. They fuck. Comp. Yeah. I mean, if they're not fucking, what a waste of a workout. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:24 What a waste of a body. What the fuck are we doing here? You want to get across the finish line or do you want to have great sex? You're always like around each other. Yeah, I'm sure that like, you know, in specific gyms or whatever that there's a lot of Do they have it only fans because I'll pay a lot of money just to be a fly Not not any actual like competitor. I mean some gonna be frowned upon. Not any actual competitor. I mean, some of those women, and by the way, men, I mean, I'm a straight man, but I have to say that, you know, I get a little confused looking at that.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Yeah, like Dan Bailey is like one of the poster childs of the men. I'm just gonna bring him up. He's not as competitive as it is. Dan Bailey, Dan Bailey. Hold on, let's see this only fancy thing. She's, I don't just cross it. No.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I think she might, I'm not here. She doesn't, she might have a CrossFit membership. Yeah, she definitely does kettlebell swings. I'm a fan of that. That, that's, what, who does CrossFit? Who does CrossFit? That's the quick one that picks you back. That's just to work on your flexibility
Starting point is 00:35:19 or lower back flexibility. Yeah. Dan Bailey? Dan Bailey, yeah. Yeah, so this guy, he's a big, he's not a football kicker. Yeah, so this guy, he's a big, he's not a football kicker. Yeah, so he's one of our really good buddies,
Starting point is 00:35:28 but he's just, so handsome. He's built like a god. Yeah, he's an attractive man being. Well, yeah, he's, yeah. Yeah, he almost looks like a body builder. Yeah, he's a lot of good. He's a lot of good guys. Well, that's a body builder, and that's all natural.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Now, here's the thing that, yeah, here's my thing. Yeah, I'm glad you wanted to go to the, I'm not going there, I'm not saying. I'm not saying that's a body builder and that's all natural. Now here's the thing. Yeah, here's my thing. Yeah, I'm glad you wanted to go to the... I'm not going there, I'm not saying. I'm not saying that's a... But I would assume just like in all professional sports, enhancing performance drugs is part of the game for some. Sure. Because like in any sport, like NFL, NBA, UFC,
Starting point is 00:36:01 it's just, you know, guys are some are some aren't. I think some bodies are like, oh, let me ask you this without putting in a weird spot. Do they, how, how strict the testing? They test and and once here, no, like the, so the top elite athletes get put into a pool and they're tested fairly regularly, like randomly, like you saw, randomly throughout the, I think you saw it does the testing. So like, they tested within within but they do get like I want to say a 24-hour window notice and there are people that are very specific about like hey the testing protocol is not great but I think for a young
Starting point is 00:36:34 sport that's up and coming like the test is pretty great it's pretty decent for yeah and they tested all the like preliminary competitions and then they test throughout the entire competition of the CrossFit game I don't know why they they give a fuck. I heard that. I like just released the house. Yeah, I grew up. It's like baseball. I don't give a fuck. Yeah. I don't see the biggest freaks at the balls for the kids. So I think I want to agree but I think as a company CrossFit like they're the sport is supposed to be the tip of the Spear of what the company is about and it's a health and wellness company not a It's supposed to be the tip of the spear of what the company is about. And it's a health and wellness company, not a support company.
Starting point is 00:37:09 And so like to promote better health and longevity, that would probably be the wrong idea. I think anytime you have the extremes of anything in, you know, you're going to have the athletes who are competing at the highest level. Yeah. Is a different animal than the, the people that are, yeah, that people are doing as a, you know, to get, if you want to get in really great shape and you don't have a whole lot of time
Starting point is 00:37:27 and you want to learn how to eat well and be in a community, your box is probably a great place to be. And I would say that's probably, like yesterday, like what is it you liked about it? First, like I liked how the people look doing it. It was the community aspect. It's like community is the best part.
Starting point is 00:37:41 It's really, the communal stuff for you again. You guys also, like you're having such a blast. It looks like the most positive fucking place. It does just fun. With the best looking people who are healthy as fuck. And it's literally like a global family, because we travel all over the place, and wherever we go, there's these gyms,
Starting point is 00:37:55 and they're super welcoming, and they bring you in, and it's like you're part of the group. You're part of the family. I feel like, in Craigman, if I'm wrong, CrossFit, was like the hottest thing like five years ago. Sure. Taylor off a little bit.
Starting point is 00:38:10 And homeboy fired the entire media. Well, yeah, so in the 18, he kind of took a turn where, so I won't speak to what his thoughts were, but he, they let go of the entire media department. They changed a lot of the sport. And then a year later, he went on and made some remarks on Twitter that were dramatically taken, like, he sent some racist stuff during COVID, right after George Floyd. And so the community really like stood up against him and he had it eventually like I felt like he felt like the community had turned his back on.
Starting point is 00:38:40 So he stood down. He sold the company because he's like, I don't want to deal with this anymore. So he's no to deal with this anymore. So, he's no longer in charge of it. They've now rebuilt their media team and rebuilt the company, but I think that definitely hurt, unfortunately, across its image for a while. For a while, I would say, people thought it was canceled for a while. Yeah, in 2020, it almost thought it was going to die. Everybody was going to boycott it and it was going die. You thought that everybody was gonna boycott it and it was gonna go away. And then-
Starting point is 00:39:06 I think anyone who said anything in after that, the five months after that, you could say anything- I disagree. It would be taken out of context. I disagree. This one you can't take out of context. Scroll up, Chin.
Starting point is 00:39:17 Scroll up. I like where your head that be, but not here. So he goes, we're not mourning for George Floyd. I don't think me or any of my staff are scrolled down. Can you tell me why I should mourn for him other than that? That it's the what the white thing to do on that. Give me another reason. Yes. Many of us, Jim owner, who had questioned why the brand hadn't posted a statement. That's all he said. I mean, there's something that was that was one of a few things. He had a rough. Double down. Yeah, he had a rough week. And I had a rough week and i would say like
Starting point is 00:39:45 like if you're watching that that's actually a part of a zoom call that he had with a bunch of people that someone recorded and then leaked to the press on while but he yeah i mean he said some things that were i don't know their racist but i i think that he it's it's it's a very political but like no one has a person knowing him like i've worked with him and seen who he worked with I don't think he's racist but like I think he made some really dumb remarks that that pushed people along and unfortunately it affected not just the company but
Starting point is 00:40:15 thousands of Jim on his around you know and so then that's when it was like yeah all the jims are wanting to like take CrossFit off their name because like, how can I support this company if this is their views on Black Lives Matter and everything that was happening during that time? Yeah, it's, so they've got a new CEO, Eric Rosa, who's done a phenomenal job of helping rebuild the company and they have some, you know, the one thing I would say about CrossFit is much, I'm a huge admirer
Starting point is 00:40:41 and as I said, I love it. But injury is a thing. Like my joke about CrossFit a lot of times, I'll see a lot of guys like, yeah, I'm getting huge admirer as I said, I love it. But injury is a thing. Like my joke about CrossFit a lot of times, I'll see a lot of guys like, yeah, I'm getting back into it, but I pulled this, or it is so intense that if you're not fucking careful about it,
Starting point is 00:40:54 because the problem is, if you're doing deadlifts for time, everybody I know is competitive. Like, we all start doing shit. I'm gonna, look at me, I'm 54 years old and doing 50 burpees because you guys are fucking cheering me off, right? I got lost in your eyes.
Starting point is 00:41:09 If the bottom line is, you know, as guys or as gals who are competitive, you're gonna fucking, and you're competing with somebody next to you, it's pretty easy to fuck yourself up. So I would say the problem isn't the programming, the problem is ego, right? Yeah, 100%. So like what you're doing in the gym should be like,
Starting point is 00:41:25 if I got hurt and I wanted to rehab my body, I'm probably gonna be doing the same movements, but much lighter. And so where it becomes a problem is when you have to be competitive and you have to beat people. And my, as I've gotten older in training that way, I've actually come to enjoy like, oh, I don't need to do this as written.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Like I'll scale away back and I don't care if I'm gonna lose this, if it means that I'm gonna be better in five minutes. We just did a workout in Big Bear, where Mars and went all out and he beat me. Messed my back up. Blue's black back up. Yeah, it was back up. He blew my back up.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Damn, so he's all walking like a question mark a week, and I was fine. I was like, okay, I'm glad I didn't. But, you know, I was definitely damaged the you won, you know, but I was definitely damaged because of the time we were there. So fucked up. Yeah. When will we learn?
Starting point is 00:42:09 Because you don't learn as you get older either. Yeah, it gets worse. Yeah, and it's just, yeah, you get more prone that day. But the thing that's cool is that it's like scalable from the best in the world. They can program some crazy workout that I wouldn't even do,
Starting point is 00:42:22 but then I could be like, okay, well, I can lower the weight or I can do a movement that's similar to what they're doing to kind of solicit the same response. So it's cool that like my grandma could do a version of a workout that the best in the world could do. Yeah. And that's what's cool about it. There's this like commonality. It's to be like, I know I understand what they're doing. And like it's it's really cool because like I I don't get that in a lot of other sports. CrossFit still have a deal with ESPN, where they advertise on ESPN?
Starting point is 00:42:52 They had the CrossFit games on ESPN for a while. That was one of my first jobs working for them. It was helping create a pilot for that. Then I want to say that deal ended in 16 or 17 months. They're not with CBS. CBS Sports is what they do for. For lately, yeah. And I think the What I love about it also is that, like if you want a great community, that's the other thing. If you want to be in great shape,
Starting point is 00:43:25 if you want your body to look like an athlete's body, like it's close to it, you know, that I don't think it was anything better than that. They look better than most of them. They really, they really, they really, by I think the best bodies, but the best thing that I've even noticed was, I'll fuck man.
Starting point is 00:43:38 Like the movie 300, they all, they're doing, they were all doing like CrossFit style training to look that way. And that's kind of what, I'm gonna blew up. That's when it really hit me. It's been like how do we look like them? Yeah, that's exactly all were doing crossfit. They were all doing like crossfit style training to look that way. And that's kind of what. I'm gonna blew up. That's when it really hit. It's been like how do we look like them? Yeah, that's exactly how I found it.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Really? That's not the 300 movie. You look like a lecturer from the other day. Yeah, that's not. He looks like he looks like like a fast-benefit. Oh. Oh shit. Come on in.
Starting point is 00:43:59 That's the same body. And by the way, fast-benefit is working with a fucking cannon. That's the best. That's the best. I'm gonna put the lights on. He's got it. He's got it on him. And by the way fast-benters working with a fucking cannon He's got a duck egg on him a duck egg It makes you don't Yes, I watched the behind the scenes on how they trained for it and I was like man I want to train like that and then I noticed that where they were training was a high school nearby So the gym that the trainer is a guy named Mark Twight, who lives in Salt Lake City and had a gym there.
Starting point is 00:44:29 And so I started kind of looking into that, that's how the training and the my buddy said, Hey, I'm going to this CrossFit gym. You should come and I looked at it and I said, that looks like how they trained for 300. I will be there tomorrow and fell in love with it the first time. Yeah, 300 had like a huge influence on CrossFit. Yeah, everyone's like, Oh influence on CrossFit. Yeah. Everyone's like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:44:46 By the way, great movie. Not good. Great movie. Game changer. Yeah. Remember when we started to lift your shield? Yeah. You know, that was this thing, it's like,
Starting point is 00:44:55 lift your shield, bro. Because it was our, it was our, it was our group. It can't lift your shield. It can't lift your shield. You know, the peanut butter falcon, like guy who wanted to be like part of them, he's like, lift your shield.
Starting point is 00:45:04 He's like, he's like, he can't get the fuck out of here. Yeah, get the fuck out of here. That's kind of a great metaphor for life I mean yeah Yeah, yeah, it's a great. It's a great thing man. I'm glad it's so has it so cross been still gone strong even after COVID because you guys did this The next documentary did is it has it been released yet? Yeah released in July Resurgence. Yeah, yeah, because I'm, yeah, that's available where. You can get on iTunes, Amazon, and you can get on YouTube, or even buy a rent movie, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:29 The top athletes, I feel like, would be successful at anything they did, because they're so intense. So like Matt, he, he, yeah, they're all freak athletes. Matt was like, he was on the road to becoming an Olympic weightlifter and go to the Olympics and that. Oh.
Starting point is 00:45:42 He ended up breaking his back weightlifting and then found CrossFit after that. And Tia talked to me about Tia for a second. So Tia took second in 15 and 16 and in 16 she left the CrossFit Games to catch a flight down to Brazil to be at the Olympics as a weightlifter has gone on to do incredible things at in the so some of the new zealot or australian weightlifting uh... events and then now is uh... training to be on the and the bobsled team for australia for the winter lipics coming up
Starting point is 00:46:15 so yeah she's one that passed five years in a row and basically once she won the first one it was like nobody else is even coming close now amazing She's amazing. Really? It's literally like her. She's like the type of woods. Yeah, it's her and everybody else trying to get on second place.
Starting point is 00:46:31 She figured it out. She figured it out. She figured it out. Because to your point, people like that know how to train better than... That's what I wanted to think about, say Hudo, because he was a gold medalist in the Olympics. That dude just knew how to train where he didn't get injured where he was just it Olympic athletes. Yeah, just see yeah, it's guys figured out They just figure it out. This is a different way of doing it. Look at Jack. Yeah, Jack She's our husband is her trainer, right?
Starting point is 00:46:55 Yeah, that's I don't know how that works. Yeah, that's crazy. It's crazy Well, he's no slouch either. He's kind of a stud, but you cannot come like in the ass. You cannot come like in the ass to get. Yeah, absolutely. And I would try. I would try. You know, I understand I get tried, I'd be a baton, you know, you know, on the fucking, you know, whatever that is.
Starting point is 00:47:16 And I'm willing to be a baton, okay? A baton. Cause I'm secure in my masculinity. And she's still computer, she retires. Yeah, she's, yeah, and I don't, I mean, if she wants to just win for the next five years, you probably could and she just dominated. Yeah, like not even close. That kind of training year round, right? You're just constantly training. No, I think that's
Starting point is 00:47:33 where Matt and Tia really differentiated them. So that's the top season. They took an off season. Like they like Matt would rebuild. Yeah, they would take from like from August until really he would start training again in like almost February And and he would take that time and he would know like When one competitor or a friend Pat Valner saw him as a face time and was like Not only are you the best at getting fit. You're also the best at getting fat because you've somehow put on a ton of weight In between like August and and September like he took a really strong offseason and that's one thing that a lot of athletes weren't able to do is like That's more of a professional style. Right exactly like a lot of CrossFit athletes would finish the CrossFit games and not do as well
Starting point is 00:48:14 They wanted and like 10 days later they're back in the gym crush and salt and like that's crazy I want that's very interesting though because I must give their bodies time to rebuild and all the micro tears Yeah, so if the best is doing that, you'd think the other athletes would figure it out. But yeah, I think. Yeah, but also I think like the guys that are like winning it every year and like getting, they're doing it year round.
Starting point is 00:48:33 Well, I think they're like, they're winning and they're getting paid versus like the rest of the field. If you don't win, you're not making as much money. So you're like, oh, there's local competition that I can go to next week and make some money. So you feel like you're like always, you're like, oh, there's a local competition that I can go to next week and make some money. So you feel like you're always on like. And she's the top, she's the tiger woods or the females, she making good money.
Starting point is 00:48:52 She making good money. I'm sure. What's pretty good money we think? Do you have the top? Well, like to win, I think you get 330,000 to win the whole thing. But it's like if you win the soup ball across. Yeah. So it's not like other professional sports, but between that and a lot of endorsements.
Starting point is 00:49:07 endorsements, yeah, you probably have seminars. And she does her own programming, and I think that's where she's really crushing it, because... Like now that these top athletes, like even Fraser, he does a program called Hardwork Pays Off, HWPO, and like he was kind of nervous to retire, because he's like, I'm gonna like, drop down a ton if I retire. And now that he's retire because he's like, I'm gonna like drop down a ton if I retire. And now that he's retired and he's doing this programming, he's probably the never.
Starting point is 00:49:30 Hey, now he's, he's pro-growing. I would be like, oh, I should have to hear what they know about diet, what they know about rest. Pay for the program, buddy. Yeah, that's what they're doing. He's WPO. Yeah, because your body will change. Dude, you think?
Starting point is 00:49:43 You're about to fall. Why'd you say that? That enthusiasm. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on.
Starting point is 00:49:51 I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on.
Starting point is 00:49:59 I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can't make it up on. I can off there, I go, I've been eating oysters, it ups your testosterone. They're like, that's awesome dude. Shoot testosterone in your ass. That's the way you get it.
Starting point is 00:50:08 It's not gonna matter. Every one of my, every actor I know, that if there's any shit going on in CrossFit or professional sports, I promise you Hollywood is way worse. But why wouldn't you? Well, if they called me right now, I told you you have to play Batman in six months.
Starting point is 00:50:24 I do it. I'm like, send me all the steroids hey, dude you have played Batman in six months. I do it. I'd like Just a jack Batman I'll eat You know what dude, you know what I'm glad you said that yeah Natural voice I've been I keep it high so I don't Bad man like warm my back up. I got to warm my feet up. Yeah, Michael Keaton was a weird Batman.
Starting point is 00:50:50 He's all tiny. Losing his hair. I like to back your Keaton. I like what you said. He's the original Batman. Actually, Ben Affleck, a little bit break out. Yeah, you know, you didn't.
Starting point is 00:50:58 What else you got? You know, you didn't. Then around. Come on. I actually kind of know him. No, you don't. Actually, you know what I'm right now. I got one better for you all right now You were there. We were at we went we were at that place on Montana and
Starting point is 00:51:11 Chris Henshi who is Brook Shield husband. He's a he's a writer and I know him he goes Brian I go what's up? Oh, yeah, I would never say I've met him in no I don't long talk with him I was there with you And it was pretty quick and that's like yeah cool. You went like this what very cool No, because then we have we had a time share in And we skewed together and we did I was there when you met him We did cross-fitting. I was there and he was literally quick conversation he's like thank you very much, yeah. I got the double dip. Excuse me, but if you remember, I really did the neighborhood
Starting point is 00:51:47 and I saw him other times and we spoke, okay, about stand up and other things. Now, because he used to be a comment. He used to be, he started as a comment. So that's what we had in the comments. You guys are gonna come there and prom the night. That's where my Keaton started. Oh wow, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:00 Oh yeah, are you doing the improv? Yeah, yeah, Theo, Chris and I. Oh no, shit, I'm doing laugh factory tonight Yeah, down on Long Beach. Okay. Yeah All right far away. Yeah, I'll say let's do some current events. What do you guys? Alright events maybe back in early 2000s remember the blackberry blackberry phones. Yeah blackberries revolutionized How we communicate dude? I had one a lot of people still use them But it wasn't long before Steve Jobs and Apple
Starting point is 00:52:26 thought they could outperform them with their new phone. With their own phone. Tell them how the iPhone did. Yeah, sure. In an all new season of business wars, all right, you'll hear about how Blackberries and iPhones battled for their shares of emerging mobile phone market.
Starting point is 00:52:39 So this business wars, is that a podcast? It's podcast, dude. It's a podcast on business wars. It's iPhone versus Blackberry. You hear how Blackberry, the phone favored by presidents, Wall Street and top government officials. It went out of style. Dude, spurred Apple to push the envelope
Starting point is 00:52:53 by developing technology that we're talking about the iPhone. Well, once iPhones came along with the Blackberry, it was like a piece of rusty machinery that I would put in my, I have one, I think in my old desk that I've never looked at. Yeah, the big antennas, they were cool, man. Listen to business wars, iPhone versus Blackberry podcasts on Apple podcasts, Amazon music,
Starting point is 00:53:13 or you can listen at free by joining Wondry Plus in the Wondry app. Here's the thing about it, Edible's dude. Dude, I stay away from Edibles, could you take, you never know. You get too high. Dude, in the next day I know. No, no, you can overdose on THC and what happens is

They're natural, it's a cannabis plant, but diet smoke extracts their Delta eight from hemp. Okay, that I guess there's a big difference. Now, they call it a loophole maybe,
Starting point is 00:54:14 but it's a secret recipe. You get, it's a smooth, stable, and most importantly, it's a lethal pie. You're not gonna freak out, man. It's nice. Diet smoke is legal in most states. It's non-prescription. Just check Diet Smokes website to see if they ship to their

HC gummies are not for use or sale to people under 21. Please use responsibly. Karen. A van. So yes, or do you send us this article and it's so weird. So yes or do you send us this article and it's so weird? Apparently there is backlash for this K-pop band called purple kiss because in one of their
Starting point is 00:55:36 promotional photos one of the girls is seen wearing like this army jacket outfit and there's a Nazi symbol on it and I guess swastik. Yeah, that's their exact glow. Yeah, it's, but I guess that's what he did. But you see us did it too. So these cream like huge pop bands, they do this, and then they get all this like heat, and they're like my bat, but they just want it for the attention. Because what's funny about what you said one time, and you didn't mean it, and you love fashion, and you said something to the effect,
Starting point is 00:56:00 you were like the Nazis were terrible, but their uniforms were kind of lit. They're uniforms of lit. And, and, and, and, that their uniforms were kind of lit. The uniforms were lit. And that's fashion in his video. I don't think that's right. The Usual Boss made them like, and that's the fashion's pretty legit. I mean, yeah, terrible people,
Starting point is 00:56:14 but legit outfit. Yeah, go ahead and cover it. So they do this on purpose. They do, yeah, because it gets attraction. And then they just, and you guys talk about it now? The PR team's like, oh, sorry, we didn't mean to do that. We didn't realize that.
Starting point is 00:56:24 But they do the Nazi symbol, and then they put US Air Force on top of it. Yeah, I'm like, so this is like, it's so straight. Why is there that picture? Is that Photoshop that Nazi symbol? No, no, that's real. No, it's on the actual outfit. So like they changed one patch? That's how they fix it.
Starting point is 00:56:41 I think that's the Luftwaffe. Oh, they apologize on the right. That's the Luftwaffe. That's the Luftw it. They bombed a lot of innocent people with that. It's crazy, man. But you think about this purple kiss, man. You ever heard of them? Never. Have you? You guys are no, but I remember when we worked there at K-pop, you know, I saw this happen before with other artists with other groups. They do like a great. Yes, very controversial stuff and they go, didn't know it you know and apologize and then everyone they know they're doing me see their music But they know what they're doing, but then they come up because of it. Yeah, they get more popular obviously more like we're talking about right now
Starting point is 00:57:15 Yeah, purple kids would never make it internationally I'm sure they have nothing to do with it's just their producers and people you know in the company Yeah, put this on exactly. I was that show I was prison show. Yeah, I mean yeah, I did an episode of season of it and We had the Aryan brotherhood and the actors played at Aryans and they all would get these semi-permanent tattoos. They had to get tattoos that you know Represent that and but they last for a long time so they would be walking around with swastikas. Oh, we're on sleeves though, you know. Yeah, so one of the actors sweet guy, sweet guy, he's on the subway in New York and he told me that he was holding on the thing and his sleeve was here and yeah, just just giant swastik
Starting point is 00:57:56 and this black dude looked at me as you got a lot of nerve coming on this fucking train with that shit, bro. Yeah, and he was this fear point. Dude, this is fake. I'm an actor. I'm on a show called Oz and the guy I've never heard of the show. He just fine, but. Oh, I think. Yeah, but he's got to walk around just covered in tat swastikas. And you like it. You'll be wearing all the clothes for a long time.
Starting point is 00:58:15 Yeah. Yeah. Because you can't explain that away. It's kind of hard. I'm an actor. Yeah. What else you got, Jim? So we talked about Dave Chappelle's former high school a while back and they actually released a statement recently
Starting point is 00:58:27 that they're still going to go forward and name the theater that Dave Chappelle had gotten a lot of funding for after the comedian. Regardless of how the school is like, there's like seven kids upset. Yeah, fuck off. That's social media in a nutshell. Correct.
Starting point is 00:58:41 It's like a parent. Apparently Dave Chappelle also went back to his hometown to speak to some of the parents who had donated who now after his special wanted to take their funding back they he sat down with them and had a conversation about his special to try to ease their minds to so it's kind of going out of his way to make people feel better and have a conversation but besides you guys on social media in the cross-bite community, who's the social media kind of disagree with the beast?
Starting point is 00:59:10 Is there any like outliers for, is there anyone who's like polarizing and grass fit? It's a pretty welcoming and loving community. I don't know, there's anyone out there like really. There's no one that gets like a lot of hate or anything. Mm. No, I mean, it wouldn't be tough to hate. Yeah, it would. I think, yeah, it wouldn't be tough to hate. Yeah, it would.
Starting point is 00:59:25 I think you're so muscular, you suck. The only thing would be someone that tested positive for something in the past that's, like we have a guy that tested positive, he served as four year ban and now he's on his way back. Four years is a long fucking time. He's on his way back to compete. And I'm like, I'm kind of excited to see how he does.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Four fucking years to ban somebody for taking the easy, you're taking something, that's bullshit. I'm sorry, how about six months? Well, I mean, I'm kind of, everyone's gonna do it. Yeah, I mean, six months isn't even a season. Yeah, six months now. All right, a year. A year's a long time.
Starting point is 00:59:55 I would say two years. For a fucking year, you're mean. Listen, I think they should fucking open up the floodgates on the main, and they'll fuck them up. But I mean, first of all, I hate when people are like judgemental. If there's anybody in the community is like, like shout out, like four years, the only knock you like that guy I'm sure you post
Starting point is 01:00:13 on people like all the only reason you're going to finish first is because you took. Yeah, I mean, take all this stuff. You'll never get you want to even qualify for the games. Yeah. What is your got to. This is another update in the Jesse Smollett situations. It turns out that the two brothers made a statement to police officers saying that he actually staged like a like a test run before the actual incident. So he had gotten both of the trainers in the car. They drove around and he would break down about like, hey, this is where this is
Starting point is 01:00:45 gonna happen and then I'm gonna leave from here, you guys leave from here. He's so dumb. Did he not think I was gonna get caught? He's so dumb. Two brothers actually said the reason why and Jesse did it based off of what they were told is he wasn't happy with how the show Empire were kind of
Starting point is 01:01:03 handling the hate mail that he would get. And so to counteract that, he made the fake like Maga letter with the drawing of him. And then he was right now like teach them lessons. He's an idiot. He sucks. I don't know why this is going to trial. I know. I know.
Starting point is 01:01:19 I hate both. You suck if I was the judge. You get out of here. You suck. Yeah, don't get out of here. Don't get out of here. Get out of here. Get out of here. You suck. You get out of here. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck.
Starting point is 01:01:27 You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck.
Starting point is 01:01:35 You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck.
Starting point is 01:01:43 You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck. There was a safari group of I believe like college students going out and a elephant went after them in a sex crazed Trying to hump them. Yeah, I think I was saving you they were trying to say it was like pent up sexual energy Is this it with an elephant or just like a that's so scary? Oh my gosh with an elephant or just like a... Dude, that's so scary. That's so fucking scary. Man, that is... I think playing music, I think.
Starting point is 01:02:11 It's a music all-friendly. I know, that's like... That's terrible. It's probably playing on the Jeep. Oh my God. See, but this is what I want if I pay for so far. It turned a day, you want a little game too. I don't know, but I want some shit.
Starting point is 01:02:24 It'll turn the Jeep over and then Yeah, there you go. There you go. Yeah, it's not good. Now lady runs not in crop. She's not Yeah, you're not in shape. Yeah, she runs a seven flat foot. She's just easy to catch. Damn. Oh man, that truck got it. The music so weird. So terrible thing. Yeah, you know what? You cannot bring around out of this. You know what? You don't want to have in that cheap with you thing. Yeah. You know what, you cannot bring around elephants. You know what, you don't want to have in that cheap with you? A dog. You know what they do? You got a rot-wilder in there or something,
Starting point is 01:02:52 and they go, oh, your eyes are in the funnier head, you're a predator. Oh cool, very cool, watch this. They'll reach in and grab that dog with their trunk and throw that fucking thing. Really? Stop it with that, yeah, I'll kill you, dog. It's like a real problem, like elephants.
Starting point is 01:03:04 Elephants are the biggest assholes in the animal kingdom. When anybody who's been on Safari knows that they are, we were in a Jeep like that. With my date. It was made with Michael Keaton. Yeah. That's good. Michael Keaton is here to bat you.
Starting point is 01:03:18 I forgot that Michael was there. Yeah, because we did, we went out and we got to Safari. Well, we're good friends. Yep. And then you almost died on, Elphan. Well, we had done a crossfit thing and I did my friend in one minute and thirty seconds and I Fade back and I'd be like, you know, were close and they were trumpeting at us. They're aggressive. They were aggressive in the area.
Starting point is 01:03:48 If I pay for that, I want some shit. I'm scared, though. Yeah, because that's cheap man saving you. I mean, I'll jump out. The grabby, bro. The elephant? Yeah, grabby. I'd like to pay for that.
Starting point is 01:03:59 And they get mad at you. And they're like, the guy thinks he's, you're 250 really? But that's what I want on those adventures. adventures like I want to see a lion destroy a dare I'm some shit man when elephants get a hold you though. It's a bad situation If you ever seen don't watch those videos, but don't know you should step on them. I should Yeah, they mash it up to butter. They make they make Brennan jam out you that'd be cool. Yeah, I suppose Yeah, well, let's get you all right LeBron James has COVID is gonna do some games
Starting point is 01:04:28 Very good for him. Is he my age? You're no, I'm just saying When he was 18 years of the same hair how old is he now? Damn late late 30s. Yeah, 37 36 36 okay I thought was a some deep lines secret Cuomo got suspended it's ridiculous my thing is with that it's brother brother he was like this isn't journalism it's like who wouldn't help it's brother I'm like it but all he was doing is like trying to give his brother heads up and he did what you're supposed to use like his
Starting point is 01:05:02 resources to make sure his brother's not completely fucked. Yeah, it's tough. It's bullshit, man. Like, I don't know. I think I like their relationship. And definitely. Who had a bigger fall off than then? Remember when the pandemic started? You know what I'm saying? And together, we all loved it. Like, yeah, dude, he want to fucking Emmy for his way handled the goddamn COVID. I like Chris. I mean, I think I think I like both I mean I'm not crazy about CNN's politics a lot of times or they're taken things but yeah I think as far as brother I get I do the same shit with the suspended over that yeah and and and worth it anyway you you you you you help your brother what would you do for your bro
Starting point is 01:05:41 what would your bro do for you yeah my brother hide a body yeah yeah I do it for you and I are I would do it for you. What I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I can't get the fuck out of here I Spend them over that of course because you know, I think to though part of it is that his ratings are Bingo. That's what they said super. They were super high. No, it was taking in the last few months Yes, yes, allegations and that it's easier for them to get rid of them that way instead Super they were super high no was taking the last few months or Yes, yes, it's easier for them to get rid of them that way instead. Let's see has a huge contract I didn't know that yeah, it's ratings are in the tank now Trump's gone CNN ratings it this gets more views than seen it Yeah, wow, but he was he was for a while he was doing pretty good, but Tucker Carlson destroys me. He knows has the biggest late show He was doing pretty good, but Tucker Carlson destroys me. He knows has the biggest late show
Starting point is 01:06:29 Lauren. No, no, no, I'm talking like tonight like Jim Kimmel Jimmy Fallon Colbert The dude that he is a tonight show on Fox. Bill Mar. No, nope, not Bill Mar. The guy who has the tonight show on Fox That starts with a G. I forget what it is, but he has the highest ratings. Wow. Kind of conservative. Yes. Colbert. Yeah, they don't have like Trump. But then they still they're still doing it. Colbert, bum me out about the cow written house shit. Like it's like, oh, he he bum me out. Yeah. I'm like, come on. I used to think he was he's fucking hilarious. I don't know. It's just weird.
Starting point is 01:07:03 I just want to say I'm impressed. I am with how many tabs you have open right now. I know, that's way of a strong Mac. We don't fuck around, bro. We're the CrossFit of Taps. What a crossFit of Taps, bro. I know, they're ton. What else you got, Jim? Look at all of them.
Starting point is 01:07:18 Wow, I'm impressed. And that you have a lot of them. Jim is a legend. Now thanks, dude. So Jack Dorsey stepped down from CEO. What do you step down from Twitter? I like you. This shit is super toxic and we're not a weird road.
Starting point is 01:07:31 And I'm gonna back out before this thing gets, where we all get sued. He thinks that founders should always not stay forever because they don't have one sort of like, you know, view, they want to open it up to Rodney. I think that's Costa Rica and he just spends his time surfing now. I mean, he's super rich, of course.
Starting point is 01:07:43 And he's just like, plus there's like a lot of Twitter's known as like, this real hateful place now. And he always, his whole thing was like, I don't even get politics, it's always freedom of speech, we're not gonna limit anybody, and then Trump, like, you're out of here. It's like, well, he's the president of the United States.
Starting point is 01:07:59 No, we don't have a voice. I think they just announced today that they're gonna, they will delete posts and pictures and stuff if you, if you like, don't want your photo on tweeted, like, they will go and delete it, right? Oh, wow. I didn't see that. Yeah, they're going to go into the game, start bleeding. Yeah, it's really hard though, because they have about a,
Starting point is 01:08:14 I think they have like 10,000 or even less people that do that. And there are something like, like Facebook took down, do you remember this? Facebook took down a quarter billion pages in a year. That's how crazy these bots and AIR, like all these troll farms and all these fake Twitter accounts. So it's, and all these attacks, it's really hard for them to get to it.
Starting point is 01:08:37 Really hard, but yeah. So I guess the silencing of people's can get worse with this new guy. That's what they're saying. Is that what they're saying that's what they're saying yeah i thought it was i thought you're saying if somebody's making fun of you you can get no i think it's just all one thing we're right to what we what political
Starting point is 01:08:55 co-med up so maybe i can just hear how a pair of support for this is is a reaction to the fact that so many of these troll farms from other countries are wreaking havoc. So it really is a problem. The Facebook pages, Rogan was posting about this on his podcast. Three quarters of the most popular African-American pages on Facebook are controlled by Eastern European troll farms, Russian troll forms. Wow. I think it's 15 of the 19 top Christian Facebook pages are troll forms. So these are not even American. What they're doing and you'll see like, you'll see black people
Starting point is 01:09:36 calling for white genocide. That's not black people. That's that's China or Russia. Well, this is China. Russia's playing, they said Americans always look at the next day and Russian China in 20 years from now. And the way to make America implode is by making pinnets against each other. Yeah, just to be right out of the way. That's the other thing, there's this whole move to, so who do you want to radicalize? People with no violence who own guns. So you want to radicalize that quadrillion and radicalize that. Yeah, so so then you're that's why those those algorithms push you in an extreme
Starting point is 01:10:09 harsh. So there's money in polarizing. Yeah, that's not money and taking people together. Yeah, and they scared. And the other thing that they were saying was that like a magic trick, social media, these engineers understand your brain better than you do. Meaning, it's like all these companies, it's called a race down the brainstem because they know that your brain reacts to a narcissistic thing. You get addicted to how many likes you have. You get addicted to being able to scroll.
Starting point is 01:10:37 You have, and so now China, if you're a TikTok user and you're under 14, you're off, there is no TikTok for you after 10 o'clock. Yeah, there's a little. At night, if you're scrolling, they make you wait, I think almost a minute between every five, between every five, and then you can only have 40 minutes of like bullshit and the rest on TikTok,
Starting point is 01:10:57 you have to do science experiments, patriotism, or one other thing. So yeah, so China was like, this is a major problem for our kids. They're getting, it's bad for their brains. They're getting addicted. They're not paying attention to their studies or their families or their community. And they're like, and China's China goes,
Starting point is 01:11:17 hey, no more. For us, it's like it's a whole different problem. Brores and we pro-touch. Yeah, yeah. It's a real problem though, because there's so much money in making, That's a whole different process. Oh, yeah. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:27 It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. Oh, yeah. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process.
Starting point is 01:11:35 It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process.
Starting point is 01:11:43 It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a whole different process. It's a billion people that fast. So the dissemination of information has never been faster and it can be very, very dangerous. And if you take that, troll farms and AI, so you don't even know if the arguments, there's a fake argument on Reddit that got traction,
Starting point is 01:11:56 this is nothing we're talking about, a fake argument on Reddit. And it was all AI, it was fucking... She's a pro bot, she's a pro. We're the infancy stage of it too, like, it's gonna be bad. It's gonna- Jesus Christ. She was a pro. And we're the infancy stage of it too. Like, it's gonna be bad. It's gonna be bad. I think 10 years from now.
Starting point is 01:12:09 Thinking robots can recreate now? Very much so. Well remember when Mark Zuckerberg, when Facebook had the two robots talking, the LM talking after an hour, they're trying to figure out how to take over everything. Like, oh shit, and they pulled the plug. They're robots with an hour talking each other. Yeah, right. How do we get rid of humans and they're like oh, this isn't good
Starting point is 01:12:29 Yeah, that's pull the plug and then this yeah, this is supposed to the other day. This is insanity. Yeah Robots they can reproduce Zena box I mean, I've seen terminator and all the same well Yeah, come on talk to me to these these theoretical mathematicians at Elon Musk and stuff, they were talking about how, we're already in this. This has already happened. And what we're doing as smart machines is just making, we're recreating reality,
Starting point is 01:12:56 and we're gonna make smarter versions. So the reality all of us know, it's very possible we are in simulations. It's very possible we are already in advanced holograms. So what is matter? Matter has, matter's not really what you think it is. It's just the electromagnetic field
Starting point is 01:13:11 between things that creates. And I would say this only rich people say when a simulation, like if you go to McDonald's guys, like, yeah, it was simulation. I gotta pay my bill for the surprise. Yeah, you know, it's only the super elite, like we're in a simulation like, nah bitch, you're so rich out of touch
Starting point is 01:13:25 Yeah, but it is weird that we're doing this stuff and creating Robots that are more more human-like. Yeah, it's not good and creating it's fucking where's it go? The pros and cons like pros You're not to you know cook our own food and stuff and they help us out around the house cons They take over yeah to grow on food and stuff and to help us out around the house. Cons, they take over. Cons, you get rid of you. Cons, you get the secret.
Starting point is 01:13:46 Cons, secret out, bruh. I mean, that's like jumping out of plane. Pros, pros, I get hair like that. Drowning rush, no, adrenaline rush. Simulant hair like heber. Cons, died. Yeah, you know? Cons, figured out.
Starting point is 01:13:59 Cons, you mess with machines and you're no more. I guess these people are the smartest in the world. I guess. What's the upside, man? We're all right. We don't need robots. Why do we need robots? The verbal revelation.
Starting point is 01:14:09 The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation.
Starting point is 01:14:17 The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. The verbal revelation. Like even checking your own shit out at Ralph's they get the check out Yeah, this is can pay to do it. Yeah, he's gonna be used to be a little bit do that leaves us more time to to do what It's gonna get close to your target. Yeah, it's good. It's good to do better crossfit Yeah My frantime down You told me you had a sub five frantime for. For four. Three. Now what's the pros do?
Starting point is 01:14:45 Six, I think. I mean, the fastest world is like sub two. But like for the general population of sub-five fran, that's impressive. It's on her, though. That's pretty rare. But it's pretty rare. Yeah, I would say that's very respectable.
Starting point is 01:14:58 It's a respectful time. Hey. Hey. Yeah, I think you got it. I was 45. I was 45. But I don't think he got it. How about that? I don't think that I have to prove that again now. I would love to see it. I was 45. I was 45. But I don't think he got it. How about that?
Starting point is 01:15:05 I don't think I can prove that again now. I would love to see it. I think I could do right now. I think I just did a friend It took me a while. It took me seven minutes and And I was dying so but if I really but I can't I'm older if I try to start working at it It'll be but I don't think I could do I think I could do so five. I I can get I can get a sub if I if I yeah, I think if you trained for you I think I can do that I might Might try it. I could I could maybe do a sub five If you guys were watching and you had cameras on yeah, we were human-high men and I got Julian's eyes
Starting point is 01:15:41 Don't challenge me because I'm gonna fuck myself up I feel like you you're always kind of like, I'll afford it. I am afford it. Yeah, we can do this. I don't like your skeptical hippo. Yeah, that I did. When I heard how tough it is, I turned it.
Starting point is 01:15:54 No, but I did, I did three minutes and did six seconds. Did Michael Keaton record it? Yeah, he's like, Michael Keaton was spotting my hips. Yeah. But, yeah, I think I did, I did that, but I worked at it. I obsessed over it a little bit. I'm told you went Fran, when it was Fran time, my heart would start beating. Yeah, you know, you're about to step into the lion's den for sure.
Starting point is 01:16:14 Yeah, I mean, uh, oh, somebody was there. I climbed a rope. I did a rope thing. Well, remember, there's something under a minute. How many times can you do under a minute? I remember, I got really good climbing. A rope thing. Yeah, I got obsessed with that. There's some I did 40 keeping pull-ups without stopping once. Oh, that's a number. That's really good. I'm on my way to the birthday That's good. Is that good? Yeah, what do you what do you guys do? You fuckers? I haven't done a max at a pull-ups in a long time, but I think at the time it was like 63. God damn That's a lot. I'm really light like that's like that's not really like that's a lot of pull-ups in a long time, but I think at the time it was like 63. God damn, that's a lot. But I'm really light, like that's like, that's not really like, that's a lot of pull-ups.
Starting point is 01:16:48 40 is, I was just, you know. Yeah, mind you, these are keeping pull-ups, it's not like a strict thing. Yeah, I was a very different person. I was a kid, but. I was doing some, I was doing butterfly. But you're allowed to keep in CrossFit, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:04 But you know CrossFit, that's keeping ones are a little annoying to me. Like I was doing, I was, I was springing back and bringing it up, but these guys get it real. It's like, it's like, it's really a weird, bring up Kipping Pullups, cause some of these things are like, cause you've done, I would say like butterfly.
Starting point is 01:17:22 He's done, you know what I've seen him do, I beat you, but I've seen him do, when we were at Tim Teebo, you did 33 pullups, 32 pullups, what's that? Should I stop him? Yeah, not keeping, straight up. Yeah. That's a lot. Yeah, he's going to do it.
Starting point is 01:17:36 He's going to do it. That's right. We want to see, we want to see like, then like, can, pee then it. Just search Chris Speeler, 100 pullups. Chris, Just search Chris Speeler 100 pull ups. Chris Bueller. Chris Speeler. Chris.
Starting point is 01:17:50 It's not the kind of pull ups I, yeah, right there. There was some CrossFit kid at a zoo culture and he was filming himself. He did a 3000 push ups. That third one down. Speeler was a wrestler. Speeler, Speeler, yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:01 I think I high level were a wrestler. Yeah, so his goal in this video back in whatever, the 2000 isn't the crowd. He was trying to do a hundred straight. He's a salt like, yeah, don't, he's a person. It's not really a pull up bubble. It doesn't count in any faster where I come from. I agree.
Starting point is 01:18:17 It's not, I don't, his chin isn't above the bar. No, I think his chin's above the bar. His chin's there, at least the bad end. We call that swinging. Yeah, we call that monkey bar swinging. But I would say like, okay, it's chins above the bar at least the bad end. We call that swinging. Yeah, we're like we call that monkey bar swinging But I would say like okay, it's not easy to pull up like this But I'm also really freaking good at strict pull ups. Yeah, yeah, I bet he could have I would encourage someone to do this if they couldn't do Really good strict pull ups. Yeah, I mean by the way by the way, I don't see his chin going above
Starting point is 01:18:42 I got a problem. It's It's getting there kind of. It's a mind-gets a low camera angle. So you'd have to have like a GoPro up on the bar and I'm looking at it. I'm looking at it. I'm kind of a bean on this. That's what you do. It's a bit of a buzz.
Starting point is 01:18:55 It's feelin' we gotta get a little higher, right Chris? He's in Salt Lake, right? He's in Park City. Yeah, Park City, that's right. Good dude. Salt Lake. Yeah, I'm sure. Good dude, terrible pullup form.
Starting point is 01:19:04 But what else you got yet? It's a lot of pull ups. I Did 40 that were not like that. I did 40 right? I was if you're doing a sea kit pull up, which is like you you come down you swing through you come up 40 at that is really hard. That's what I did. I did I did some they were they were way better than that I promise you they were way better than that I would I only count those as pull ups. Huh? No, that's not pull ups either the fuck what I was like we'll put the like whatever video on YouTube
Starting point is 01:19:31 or whatever and people see the pull ups and they're like not a single pull up was done that yeah Yeah, everybody said I probably wrote that comment. Yeah Everybody said to dick. I'll post a shooting thing and every fucking cop maybe seal. Yeah, you're fucking hand heavy But hey, I don't care. I'm not in combat. You fuck don't correct my fucking shooting you slap in the trigger Yeah, if you are very aware, I'm not a fucking tough guy. That's Murdered and I do it on purpose. Yeah, bring it. Yeah Do you guys all fans of the rock obviously? Yeah, he looks older. I mean we're going. Okay, so he posted that the red notice movie with him and Ryan Reynolds
Starting point is 01:20:12 Is the most watch move all time on Netflix? Which has like three hundred and twenty eight million hour views viewing hours. Yeah, that's great Hey, do you know how many people watch Squid Game? That's why I brought this up. 1.6 billion. Yeah, so, okay. So this article was from like a half a month ago, right? So it's 1.65 billion hours streamed in the first four weeks. And Rhett notices a month basically the same time. But then Brian, you mentioned a while ago, you said like a million seconds is like 11 days, a billion seconds is like 32 years. So that shows you how much of a difference. Is that your show? All games is more than 10 hours.
Starting point is 01:20:47 International, right? Because those are the, you know, Korean Asian watches. But I mean, Asian watches, Netflix too. But there's also a lot more content. And I'm squeaky. I'm sure, yeah. I've gone down the rabbit hole at True Story.
Starting point is 01:20:58 It's such a good, the Kevin Hart show. It's so good. What episode are you on? I'm about to start the third one. Okay, so you got a little ways to go. It's good though, yeah. Take some turn, do what you're good though Yeah, it makes me it fucks me up because I like him so much It's so well done But also being the most watched movie on
Starting point is 01:21:15 Netflix and another major movie on Netflix go Original Netflix movie oh bird bird box at bird box bird box bird box That's the only one I think of the heart of they come Gershamsworth that was the other big one like Extraction yeah, they're all excited. Yeah, that was good. Yeah, it was a good action movie I didn't see apples. There's a have to be a neff this is on That's what you know has been rid of that's an original you're just saying that there's not have to be a nephilis on that's what you know has been a rid of that's an original you're just saying that there's not a lot of time I'm doing wrong 328 millions fucking insane I think I started to ramp up how much they have
Starting point is 01:21:51 there's a Leonardo DiCaprio Jennifer Lawrence movie coming out soon Adam again I mean got three powerful people there's a yeah yeah yeah did anyone watch it though because I didn't want to I'm not gonna lie it was probably one of the worst movies. I imagine it would be kind of bad red notice. I have no desire Yeah, no just not my cup of tea. It was fun. I watched all you saw was fun. It was um, what's it about? You know, you run Reynolds cracks me up, but it's the same. I've seen them. I've seen them do that What's the rock doing being people up? He's just like a guy who's a he's a cop. He's a he specializes in art theft. Ryan Riles is an art theft and he's just always like, damn it. I got to fucking now I'm gonna run and catch this helicopter in midair again.
Starting point is 01:22:33 And he fucking soon, soon bullets and Ryan Riles is like, good to see you. You look fantastic. And Joe Joe. Yeah. Yeah. They put a lot of. I'm also castle. I'm all said. I'm out. I'm all you really selling it Yeah, but yeah, it's damn wall Crab on a pine tree. I've never seen that again So this is just dr. Oz Bitting to be a US Senate or be in the US Senate hard pass of any hard to be a US Senate or be in the US Senate. Hard path. In Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 01:23:04 Hard path. He's a conservative guy. That one hit hard. Let's see here. Hey, Jen. Yeah. I could feel Brennan's poor battery. I know.
Starting point is 01:23:18 Hit me in the face. Hit me in the face after you hit the face. Yeah. You know, you guys know yourself. Dr. Oz is running for the, I'm more, I'm more, if you know what, Dr. Oz died, I don't have the same, I know. There's no one, he's like,
Starting point is 01:23:31 Maurice, do we get the doctor's house? No, just shut you down. I know, I can feel it. If I start getting sentimental, I'm like, yeah, you know, for the first time, I actually felt gay. Wow. This, I don't, okay.
Starting point is 01:23:43 Is it that great though? Cause it's, so it's an hour, I think it's four hour flight. No, it's an hour flight, roughly, it's a thousand dollars. And then you take a private flight up, it's a Cessna, and you can have sex in the back of it. But where's it land? Did they provide the controls? It's in Vegas, it's just Vegas to Vegas.
Starting point is 01:23:58 Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, yeah, it goes in the air, you guys have sex and then you just have to go to the front. You can find the women or is it, I get it. They don't provide the women. They don't have a bunch of people just Locking on a plane or you have the whole plane yourself Hopefully yourself except for the pilot so the pilot has a curtain that divides you guys
Starting point is 01:24:12 But he has noise canceling headphones on Just a curtain because a small plane That's the show the pilot my hey bro if you want to look back to him pretty weird I paid a thousand dollars. You,000. You're welcome. You're welcome. And they're my heckin' music. Yeah. We're going to Flavor Town.
Starting point is 01:24:30 There was a service in, I know in Wall Street, that they were, there was a van that would pick guys up after work and there was a girl in there. And you'd have sex in the van. What, you were trying to park it? Oh, that's a porno. No, that's a porno. Thank you, my friend. Yeah, well they had that in the back.. No, that's a that's a porno. Thank you. Well, they had
Starting point is 01:24:50 The thing in New York for a while. Yeah, it's a big thing on you pull Well, there you go. Where they're like a hot girl in the taxi. I don't have any money I don't know what I'm gonna do and he's like He's but he's British just with a heavy British dick. He's like you don't have any money I'm gonna pull over. We can figure some way to pay this. Yeah, come on in. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 01:25:09 This little thing, yeah. He gets back, I'm like, no, that's the most room I've ever seen a taxi. It's not a room. It's not a room. It's not very realistic. Yeah, I used to think it's real. It's fucking the air.
Starting point is 01:25:19 All right. Yes, so watch out my turgid. I'm gonna spend the disbelief there. What does it get you? I'm bored with that duck fuck. Okay, so this is kind of anti-climactic, but sorta kind of cool at the end. So a newborn giraffe gets attacked by a lion.
Starting point is 01:25:32 Play the video for you. And it's miraculously survives, right? Well, they have to walk right away, obviously, because fucking everything's from the kiln. Oh, shit. See you'll see it here. That's delicious. Okay.
Starting point is 01:25:43 How fucked up is nature? Nature. I know, so a fault, there he goes. Oh, shit! It killed him, too? Nope, we'll see you see it here. How fucked up is nature nature. I know so a fault there he goes. Oh shit It killed not you. No, we'll see you watch here Let me fast forward so he hasn't there Wait that baby draft survives this so leaves him alone there. It's playing Pasha watch watch Drags it again all the way over here Look at my cars like land rovers out there. Yeah, more mom and drafts like what do you guys watch it? So it's right there just laying down. Why is the mom kicking the fucking snout? I know it's tough
Starting point is 01:26:10 That's a lion. So there she's trying to be a shroom away. So it's sitting there. Then he gets up Okay, though. I think he's playing awesome. Yeah, so it gets back up. That's a baptism by fire, ain't it? Wow He's so fucked up. I don't think up. So what happens afterwards? Is he walks into the lake or the pond? That's not good. And then? It's not how he had crockin' out.
Starting point is 01:26:33 He drowns. He drowns. That's how it dies. He was able to survive the line attack. No, he was there. And then it just peacefully drowns himself. No. I know.
Starting point is 01:26:43 That was a plot. That's something that's like a climax. It's a climax, it's a climax. That's the best way to end this podcast that was a plot.
