He hasn't known how famous he has no idea, right?
And guys, a good friend of mine.
So, one day, a couple weeks later,
there's a fight going on.
It's Anthony Joshua against Ruiz, right?
And Stallone calls and he goes,
any chance your friend guy in town,
you have one and one come over and watch the fight,
and I'm gonna do again, yeah dude, you're rocky.
Yeah. So, I said, yeah yeah actually we're going out dinner tonight.
We're having a dinner, like a craze-low dinner
is me guy Mike McCarthy and Strayan
and this girl Ava Knight who's fighting for us, right?
So I said, yeah he's coming over tonight.
He goes, well here's a deal.
Any chance you could bring him
because my daughters really don't care about Rocky or Rambo.
But they love Darners, drivers and dies.
Any chance you could bring them.
I said, let me find out.
So I call up guys that tell me you love me.
He said, why do I love you?
And I said, man, you know, it's the low ones.
I don't know if you want to come watch a box of matches out.
And his daughter's like, man, they're huge triple D-fats.
Yeah.
He goes, let me call my wife first and see if I can do it
because I'm supposed to go home tonight.
He calls his wife, Lori.
Lori says, let me get this straight.
Glazer's asking you to go to the loans house to watch a box of match and you're asking me if you get like I do it like
she goes you're fucking idiot if you come on so he calls back he goes all right tell us the
loan and I know it just went fast in this or hell that's the idea of he said I tell us lie I'm in
and I'm gonna make it starters my sous chefs so let's go find out who'm in and I'm gonna make it, Starters my sous chefs. So, find out who's coming and I'm gonna bring,
I'm gonna have the food network like low-me-up,
I'm gonna cook and I'm gonna be incredible.
So I said, great, I cost alone, I said,
telling me a lot of me, he said, well, I love you.
I said, now he's guy coming,
he's gonna bring all his food and he's gonna make
your daughters as sous chefs and he goes,
really, he didn't have to do that.
I'm just gonna get cold cuts. Dude, I said, bro, you're not getting fucking my cut.
That's so right.
I'm gonna get a towel.
Cold cuts, right?
Have we got old school fucking jerseys here?
There we go.
Cold cuts.
I haven't heard cold cuts since I grew up in Jersey, right?
Cold cuts.
Cold cuts.
So he goes, nah, I said bro, we're not doing
fucking cold cuts.
He's like, tell me what the guest list is.
He goes, all right, who you bringing?
I say, I'm gonna bring Guy and Strahan.
And Strahan's taking me, he's my baby sister,
and he's taking me fucking everywhere.
Yeah.
Since he's become a, you take me to the TV.
Yeah.
So I got to, I got to repay, he takes me
like the family fair Oscars party, and this is not,
I got to repay him.
So I say, so I'm bringing Strahan and Guy.
I said, who you bringing he goes okay so
guest list is you straight hand guy me Pacino Schwarzenegger Sugar Ray letter I
got to fuck outta here he goes what and to my friends don't forget David Blaine came
and he says that does magic magic and do a magic and kitchen wait we broke the fuck did I still can't do this how Karen got into this book?
I don't know you have to get over to nobody
Nobody said
His daughter's leaving but she knows
Because his daughter
His daughters are comedy fans so they they were we they were hanging out after the show
and they came up to me and they were like,
you were really funny on the podcast.
Yes, they did.
But just before that, I didn't know that.
They were just really nice.
And they said, you love my dad and I go,
you know, he's, you know,
so that's just, you're like,
I'm fucking, yeah, I do.
I love your dad.
But I get to that party and I walk in the kitchen.
Now I'd been to Stallone's house two times
before that for fights and stuff.
So this was my third time.
And so I get there and I walk in and Guy Fieri
stood in there and he was the nice because he knew me
whatever he was like, you know, blah, blah.
And then he goes, before he even says it
and he goes, you gotta try this, try this.
He puts a piece of meat in my mouth.
Yeah, we're truffle.
Oh dude, he went really.
So what he is, guy, it's not just like for show.
He's a great guy, down-to-earth guy.
He's incredible.
I've got a bunch of plays with him.
Great guy.
It's like a traveling party.
What you see is what you get.
Yeah, authentic.
By the way, by the way, did you guys have a contest
who's back the worst?
It was the loan over me. The loan, the loan, the loan, the loan, the studio. I'm like, bro.
But by the way, that day he was
who were there and he goes, hey, you think it'd be okay if I post this on social media? I'm like
Yeah, dude, you're rocky. Yeah, dude, you want to switch a tag?
We broke the internet. was your Saturday Saturday everybody in the NFL is calling like
What the fuck is going on? What are you doing like that's the day usually?
I was sitting I was I'm standing in a circle and it's Pacino. Yeah, Schwarzenegger

Oh, yes, Frank's alone with his brother is there and Joe Karnat now now here's a good the best part
Bill Burr walks by me as I'm listening to these guys. He's got a sick artist mountain. He goes hey
You've been here an hour already get over it
I'm not over
That was a great day. Oh the best part was this Jay as so see help franken and and
Joe Karnahan director
And there's there's a source there. So I'm there. I'm sitting with right next to the Leah and
and
When the fights on sugar Ray Leonard the great sugar ray Leonard is right here and
Grilla in hand are criticizing anything Josh was boxing
Oh, and I was like, please don't do this don't do this in the air shot
It should raise you know, it's sure. He's doing give a color. Oh, yeah, he's doing he was so commentary
And he was great. He was yeah, everybody was he gave me a lot to tell them to no, he didn't but he gave me a boxing lesson
You have been more annoyed than anybody.
And it's on video.
It's on video where he was showing me how to go to the body.
Because I said, you know, whenever I go this way, I get punched in the face.
I don't know how to dig to the liver.
And he says, give me a lesson.
And Stallone says to my girlfriend, what are you doing?
Get this on video tape.
It's him, I'm getting a lesson.
He's awesome.
Slides are fucking best. The best. middle. As I'm getting a lesson. He's all, slides and fucking best, the best.
He's coming to train with us for a while,
and he was just, he was in strands here one day,
and he was just like, you're selling your maturity
unbreakable.
So you're doing, he gets just heck like a bunch of fuck sticks.
Oh my God, absolutely.
Yes, no doubt, right?
He was coming in and train.
He's great, great gym.
Yeah, wow.
This strand train, I'd love to see what he can do.
Yep, Michael trains constantly. Yeah, no, you're shit. Does he train? I'm saying it's great. Yeah, great gym. Wow. This train train, I'd love to see what he can do. Yep, Michael trains constantly.
Yeah, no, you're shit.
Does he try to?
I'm saying it's, it's not.
No, not in fighting.
Oh, no.
No, his body's stupid.
No, he's really not.
Yeah, he's addicted.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, if I was pelting him,
and then we'll also like, in his career,
he was like 272 and then, fuck, I think it was your 10
or something, he's like, all right, if I want longevity,
I gotta lose a bunch of weight and that we don't need some shirt
And he
He went down to like two forty eight
In between like two forty. That's how big he is. Yeah, that's trim friend two forty from two 72
But he's like on his side in my career. That's like you got into 160 like at his size is pretty standard
Yeah, I'd be a single little break from town with our boy Jay
Glazer cuz like every episode lately. Can we let's get nuts? Let's get nuts. I get a lot of mental health
I'm nuts. I'm a little nuts too, but I think you might be talking about
Macadamia. Oh, I love me. It's my favorite nut. Well, it is it is my fair not in fact a couple nut boys
I'm literally eating the chocolate dipped
it is my favorite nut. In fact, a couple of nut boys.
I'm literally eating the chocolate dipped macadamia nuts.
I mean, that's all we snack on here.
It's still here.
Well, they're the best they are.
They are the most they have omega sevens and macadamias
are linked to collagen producing and reducing inflammation,
which are key parts of longevity.
And world record epigenetic age-reducer Brian Johnson
includes macadamia's in his daily blueprint diet.
You would think a bag of them macadamia next,
Kasia, two, three million dollars.
They're the most expensive.
Why the hell?
How does the house of macadamia make it so-
This is a good question.
Friendly.
They are the most expensive nut.
That's a fact.
Always have been, always been a crazy delicacy.
Not for the rich.
Best nut, they're the nuts for the rich.
Not anymore, by the way, House of Mag nameia is working with 96 South African farmers

E, well, it's from the Nambia sea.
No, you know, it's all from Narnia.

But he also, the life that he's in now,
being on those Good Morning America
where the hell show he's on, he's so big.
So him cutting down 240 seems like,
when you're in that business, you wanna get slimmer.
Yeah, absolutely.
I'm with him.
It's a longevity thing. Yeah, absolutely. And it's good. I'm with them. It's a longevity thing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I've gone the other way.
Yeah.
And then with you, you were talking about it on Saturdays,
usually you can get the scoops or that.
It's all week long, but Saturdays, when I like big time,
I feel in every team that I haven't called yet.
And it's all day, all night, doesn't stop.
It's ruined every relationship I've ever had besides the current one day all night doesn't stop. What's ruined every relationship
I've ever had besides the current one.
It just doesn't stop.
And how hectic was the draft free that just went on.
Is that a hectic?
No, that I look.
So here's the thing with draft.
I'm the only reporter who doesn't do a mock draft.
Could I'm not gonna lie to the fans?
I hate mock drafts.
Well, the first roller student,
because no one sets their board until the week of.
So when people were telling you three weeks out,
what a team was doing, they're like,
they have no clue.
The team had even no, they don't have their boards out.
Right?
They didn't, they haven't finished their visits, all that.
So, and things change, like there was a time,
I don't ever forget, Calibur's called me on something,
they're gonna draft Sean Merriman,
they were set to draft him, man,
they've done, you know, 365 days of work leading up to this,
and the morning of they called, said, yeah, we think we're changing our minds.
What do you know?
And they said, yeah, I think we're going to shift off him and go to the Marcus where.
I said, what happened?
He said, yeah, just some conversations we had last night, last night, last night.
And they shifted off Mariam in the morning of and went to the Marcus where and, where
did you start?
Is this Florida J?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Back. So, man, people don't really know the craziness of my story.
I was the first minute by minute breaking news guy in the country
when that internet thing came out, which I think is going to take off.
There's something to it.
Wow.
But my first, it's actually crazy. My first,
took me 11 years, my first 11 years of my career,
I was making 9,450 bucks a year.
Live in New York City, and how'd you survive?
Well, that would talk about strand.
He's the first guy I met at Giants practice I became friends with, and I didn't have enough
money, I was living in New York City, and I didn't have enough money to go take a subway,
to a bus, to Giants stadium, and back each day.
So he drove me back in in New York City.
He didn't even live in the city.
Every single day for seven years.
What a great guy.
Incredible.
I own like 20th grand in Lincoln, Tunnel Fair.
What a great guy.
Yeah.
And that, but the other thing is like,
I walked in that giant locker room day one.
And I was like, man, I don't have the one and I was like man I don't have the same experience everybody else around the same
Education is everybody else. I don't have any of this stuff, but man. How could I be different?
So if these guys work
Nine and five I'm not gonna work them by a little on my or I'll work them by a lot
I will be the last motherfucker standing here every single fucking day. I'll be the last fucking dude standing here
Because also I had a way for stray hand and drive me home
Yeah, but I get no choice
They work no no working dad as a reporter. I sit there
Man and just build and but the other thing I was trying to do is I'm like how could I be different than all the other guys
I fell way back then everybody used their pen as a weapon. I was like well
I'm gonna start relationships with people and I actually got
Crushed for it for a while that I wasn't objective because I was start
relationships. Is that your bias? Yeah and I had more in common with players and coaches and I did
those other newspaper papers orders. Of course. Right? So you love the athletes, you love the
process. But also I was training back then I was like oh you know so over time though man I was
rejected more than a human being.
You'd ever meet in your entire fucking life.
It was fucking horrible.
And people think that overnight success happens overnight.
It happens over 11 years, especially in our fell.
Especially in the NFL.
In anything, it is fucking.
Any job you want, any dream you have,
it's not gonna take overnight, that's full of shit.
So, man, I just kept going, kept, kept rejected,
kept trying to get every job I possibly could and just kept getting rejected and rejected.
But I cut, you know, my name kept growing more and more as, man, you could trust this guy.
This guy's most trusted guy in the, all these locker rooms, you could really trust him.
These players and coaches. And finally, man, 11 years in, I get this call from, I've been
rejected by every agent until finally this guy, Morghaz, friends,
like, all right, I took every free job you could.
I was on New York One TV for,
to an hour show every week for 450 bucks a year.
Damn, fucking year.
And you were writing, right?
And I was writing, and I was following,
I got a gig for the New York Post for 250 bucks, a story.
So that was the nine grand.
And then, and I couldn't go get other jobs
because I had to work everybody. So it's like early on I was like boxing them bouncing them bartending and try to stand up
comedy. It's an all-ish anything I could but eventually I had to put all my time into this. So literally like man
I'd be the first one there and then I'd be there till seven o'clock and night or whatever and everybody else left the
just to interviewing guys to the air and start. So guys leave, they leave the locker room,
man I just didn't talk to them. Yeah, it was the key to Jay because he's a relationship guy.
Yeah, they can trust him. Yeah, I know he's not going to out them like they might give him private information.
Yeah, there's always a, there's always an app or a real thing right between reporters and athletes.
And now it's all relationships. It's the only way it happens. It's all relationship.
But also it's so cut through what he does. Like that don't feel like the breaking news to be athletes. And now it's all relationships. It's the only way it happens. It's all relationships.
But also it's so cut through what he does.
Like they don't feel like the breaking news.
Like Jay breaks law news because guys like him.
Then there's the guys on the business side,
like Adam Schaefer and those other guys.
Yeah.
He's good, Adam's good.
But it's super cool.
Yeah, it's between the guys that break the news.
Bro, it is.
So the guys, the business guys don't like you,
but the athletes too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, no, we're all good now because again
I was man. I've been doing now since 99. Yeah is when I got
93 how'd you get into sports where you just like you play football high school or something?
I wrestle in high school and then I
Where'd you go? I got an internship
Where is Jersey girl Jersey sure good wrestling and Jersey. Yeah great. Great. I don't like to
I just like say outside New York City. Yeah. Just say Jersey.
Maybe just a shore. Real, real sports Brian Cumble did this feature on me one year is, hey
this guy's, and this is when the insider business really blew up, right? And was like, hey
this guy's crazy, good as job because he's crazy. And they call my high school principal
or whatever. And they said, hey, we get some high school yearbook photos
of Jake laser and wrestling photos.
And the guy said, who?
Said Jake laser and they said, who?
And they said, you know, you have a guy who's on national TV
who went to your high school.
And they said, yeah, we know Mike's earned Tino the situation.
Had no fucking idea who I was,
but knew the situation.
He was like, that is fantastic.
I never ever knew. That's amazing. That's amazing. That is fantastic. I never have to go back.
That's amazing.
So, wow.
So, people don't realize the backstory of it.
And then, you know, when the internet thing came out,
when I realized, man, we don't have to wait
for the back page anymore, I got to get CBS SportsLine.com.
And it was me versus got named Len Paskerask early and John Clayton Chris Mortensen for like
Minipi Minipi breaking news and that that kind of really you know
That was ever that changed everything and then I kept picking fights with ESPN back then and
And it just became this huge thing which it is now and over time you were on the side of the truth though
You were always telling the truth. You're trying to get to that. Yeah, I was different.
Do you know what I'm saying?
I was different.
I was different too and I was always
fucking with them and trying to pick fights.
And you also weren't like click baity,
you weren't screwed.
No, it was there like, it was never like,
like a lot of the just special back there
were like snake you about it.
Well, they do a story like, you know,
whatever a guy has some altercation outside of the field.
Right, right.
But I think it's changed.
I think everybody's relationship base now.
Back then it wasn't.
And when I say I got killed, they used to write
shit about me and Strayon, like making fun of us.
They used to write it.
They used to call you a gay and thought,
oh man, it was fucking, no, they would not that,
but it would just say that.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
What do you got to bring the kids to play?
They're gonna play.
Because we get that.
You ain't said your voice got straight home. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,'t, we don't, we don't, your voice went high. All right, I wrote the piece. I wrote the piece.
I wrote the piece.
You know what I mean?
You just, you know,
you just, you just, you just,

Yeah, one day my agent calls and says hey, I was on a driver range with Tiki barber and
So you know where you at I said him Tiki. He said all right. He said
You can finally exhale again. I got 11 years out full-time job
And he I said what's up? He said we finally got you a full-time job. I said
full-time job. And he said, what's up? He said, we finally got your full-time job. I said,
thank you, my best friend, God almighty in heaven. Thank you, God. And I said, with who? He said, CBS sports. They just got the NFL back. I said, I'll take it. He said, don't you want how much it's
for? I said, I don't give a fuck because I validate any sort of mess. Yeah. But when I walked in that
giant locker room, day one, I said, I'll be fucking different to everybody else And I'll be the last dude at standing it validated me for what I set out to do
Correct and it was for the grand and I was fucking huge
Yeah, I still kind of get a little choke up. That was my moment. How the fuck did you survive 11 years with no body?
Did a lot of private hands
It was grand a guy who always as he was an all pro as crazy was.
I think he played 11 years.
I think about how long that is.
Well, also people don't remember, first four,
he wasn't the guy.
He wasn't the guy.
He was in the movement's position.
And this is like, Brandon knows I've trained football players
for years and martial arts.
And a lot of it was from him
It's like I think it was Deacon Jones and how he long had to talk with him and said hey you don't play football
You fight and that game starts and you fucking caged or locks you better make that guy across from you
beg to get off that fuel and at click with Michael and he went out the next year got 15 sacks never look back
Is that right? Yeah, he just he's just said oh okay to fight he turned into a fight
So did
he always have show business or something on his mind? Because Tiki Barber did, but it
didn't quite, you know, that didn't work. He should be the blueprint for all athletes.
Like what he's doing is higher level than any other states ever done. And here's the other
thing people don't know about him. Like we're both trying to work on our craft. Him too.
He and I would do appearances at like, we would do like
synagogues and long island just to work on public speaking. What? For zero dollars. Yeah,
people don't know that. Or when I was doing New York one TV, he'd come in and be a guest
at Minnatter. I hosted a show. Practicing. Practicing. Practicing.
Oh, it was a four colon necessary roughness. It was a few different radio stations for like But it wasn't get paid it was like WR
W ABC but you got a free meal from it
It was a three hour show and I have a different giant and jet coming each week and host the show with me and
Michael's like the guest three fourth is done just to work it but three hour shows without getting paid
So people don't see that's like how much you work. Yeah, how much time he put in, and we both put in,
that it's that work that you put in it
when no one's watching.
No one knows.
It's really so good at it.
Yeah, it's so good.
But even back then, he was like, literally
we're in front of a place.
Well, he was playing.
We're sitting on where everybody's like a cough away
from a heart attack, and he's just fucking murdering it
in there, and he'd have to be a practice next day.
Yeah, yeah.
And this was like his second year we started doing this.
So it was 94.
Damn.
Old school.
Yeah, yeah.
Fuck.
Yeah, he liked it.
He's incredible.
That's incredible.
What a pie.
Because we, the giants and jets,
were you, off to your, probably a jetmoor of giants fan?
I grew up being a giant fan,
but then that went out the door when you start covering them.
You're not fan anybody.
Fan everybody really.
Yeah, yeah.
We're not surprised we knew it was coming, but Aaron Rodgers on the Jets, big deal.
Yeah, huge, huge.
Oh, absolutely.
With that deep fan.
Because here's the thing people don't understand about the Jets.
They're not just competing with the Jets.
No.
competing with the Yankees.
Oh, fuck this.
Everybody in New York is competing with the Yankees. Oh, fuck this. Everybody in New York is competing with the Yankees.
And they don't realize that.
It's not just that Giants and Jets,
it's the Nix, but it's the Yankees.
So to get a guy like Aaron there
makes them extremely relevant in that town.
But also when you get a pissed off Aaron Rogers.
Trouble.
Yeah, it's trouble.
Yeah, so it's that he does.
And they've got a great job putting together
the rest of that roster of hell.
Yeah.
It's gonna be a really good job. And drafting, soft-hearted, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I told him when he comes back to that, yeah.
Yeah, well, I've been to Jets games, I've been to Giants games, and those stadiums.
Yeah, totally different.
I was about to ask you, it's the strange thing, but there is such a difference between Giants
fans and Jets fans because Giants fans of one, they're not as angry.
That's a chance, haven't you?
They're a fight. Jets fans, you see fights, you see a of one, they're not as angry. That's what fans have. And you see fights, you see fights, you see fights,
you see a dozen fights, they always suck.
They've only shit, they've never seen that.
So they're having one, they've only seen things
since name of, yeah.
They haven't had a good quarterback in, how long?
How long?
Well, Champ has been in this great,
but he kept getting, well, he'd be great for two games.
You might be only going to call them great.
Right, he's good.
Yeah, sorry.
Yeah.
But Aaron Rodgers going there, dude, so excited. How long has he been how long's even playing out what's what you're as Ian Aaron? Yeah
18 is that
18 years ago before yeah
Oh five
Oh five to 20 oh five. Yeah, he's played that long. Yeah, I had no idea. Yeah, five to twenty. Oh five, yeah. He's played that long.
Yeah, I had no idea.
Yeah, at that level.
Remember, he sat the first like 17 years.
So this would be two, three years.
He did, because he get your Brett VAR was the guy that
that that himself.
I was around for all that.
And people don't remember that there were fans, boy,
catting, pickingeting showing up with signs
wanting bread far of a not Aaron Rodgers.
And the fact he was able to deal with that.
I mean, mental health wise, before we've ever talked
about mental health, to be able to deal with
all these people just hating them, shitting on them
as a young kid, and he's a kid back then, 25 years old.
And then you have a fan base showing up with signs,
picking and hating you, not wanting you in,
and for him to go out and just slice up the league
the way he did, that makes him against her.
That makes him, in gangster.
It's in gangster.
He's a man, holy shit.
And that's what, you know,
they're kind of looking at Jordan Love.
I'm like, nobody's gonna be able to do what Aaron had done.
He's unique.
He's a whole family, he's one of the best to ever did it.
And this kid could be great,
but what Aaron did,
and people just don't give Aaron enough credit
for being able to stand up to that
the kind of haptism that's hard, man.
That's more than that's drowning.
You're getting your head stuck in there for a while
and like you're in the 20s.
Yeah, it's crazy.
And you're like,
you talk about like the mental aspect of the game in your book you talk about on breakable
with a mental site. I feel like it's become more of a narrative now, such with players. Yeah. Yeah, big time. You know, and listen, I wrote my book
because
like we talk mental health mental health. These days in the book is how I turn my depression anxiety and a motivation and you can't do
And I did use it like I wake up, it's an everyday thing.
And I think a lot of people in the fight world,
I wish you a lot of us in this business and football
were fucked up going in, right?
But we never talked about it.
So I just, I built up this crazy character of the glaze
and having fun on TV and being crazy
and fighting in football is a bad job on her,
but no one knew how much pain I was in.
Every day in my life, I wake up and I wake up
and something call the gray and it's liver,
every fucking day I wake up, I think the sky's fallen.
I'm fucking crazy and I roommate in my head
or telling me really bad things, like everybody hates me
and everything's against me, it's hard for me to get out of bed,
but it's been like this my entire life.
I don't know any other way to exist and it's normal
So you you've always been this way always since I little kid on and man and the anxiety I've had anxiety attacks every time
I've been on TV from 2005 on I've never not and I don't understand why it happened first one was an empty-rater stadium
And I felt like it's up having a heart attack and it was weird for me because I'm I'm great in chaos. I
Suckin calm which is why it caused a lot of chaos a lot of times
So I don't really know why it happened there because it's chaos so it's usually good
But then it became habitual and I just didn't know what was going on like my hands are shaking my eyes are guarding back and forth
I'm kind of hyperventilating and I'm as I'm on camera
I'm dealing with this and I call it wrestling with my abuser
Because I'm kind of almost like negotiating with it wrestling with your abuser. Wow. She's leaving a fucking loan
Don't choke me out here. Yeah, not right now. Not right now. Not right now. Don't get home
Wait, do we get home? So you're talking to the you're talking sort of to the other side voices. Yeah, and
But the depression part like man, I wish I could have talked about this a long time ago and
So I'll give you an example like with strand
One night about a year and a half ago before I came out with this book
But like right before I started posting about like mental health
Check up each day just to show everybody like again. I'm trying to give it words
Like we all talk mental health, but who the fuck's giving it words? Who's describing it?
So we can start having this conversation. Yeah, the past, when I'd have like, called the
beast getting out of the box and have a bad fucking night, or just pops and
faking in and trink and go out and usually getting some trouble and you know
and and this night for one night, I was going out to dinner with Strayon and I
said, man, I can't go out tonight. So while I said, Beast got out of the box,
and I just need a chill instead of dealing,
I used to,
and he said,
well, shit, you wanna talk about it?
I said, no, not right now,
really beat up,
because also when I have bad depression spell
or anxiety spell,
I feel it,
like in the left side of my gut,
my joints start aching like crazy.
Damn, this is behind my rib cage,. You were born with this, Jerry.
Yeah, I think it was childhood trauma.
Yeah, I think it's everything.
It's all our remember, so I don't really know the answer to that,
but it's my earliest childhood memory.
And it becomes physical.
It becomes physical, yeah, it's fucking exhausting.
And he's shaking his head, right?
You get it.
And when I was younger, that my parents took me to many,
they almost took my gallbladder out because
really had such a pain every day
was after my brother passed.
Wow.
See that?
And right before surgery, they were like,
eh, maybe not.
Wait, let's hold off.
I was at the hospital.
He was at the hospital.
Look how cool it is that he can talk about it now,
which we wouldn't have done last 400,
so long that he used to be 400 pounds.
Fuck really?
That was 400.
Good for you, dude.
Proud of you, man.
But it's like, he wouldn't feel comfortable talking about that a 400. Good for you dude, proud of you man. Yeah.
But it's like, he went, felt comfortable talking about that a year ago.
No, we were made fun of.
Right, he went to this.
I had jokes right now.
Yeah, he went to go.
Can I talk to the chamber right now?
Yeah, but I was like, you know what it's like.
It was funny, Jay, when you talk this way, because I always, I see you, I've known
you for a riverley, I see you as a bigger than a life guy who's always fucking like, at it, you're a man.
When you're a man, you're a man.
But when you talk this way, it's impossible not to love
you a little bit.
Oh, I appreciate it.
But you know what I mean?
Because when somebody's vulnerable like this,
but it's really true, when somebody's vulnerable like this,
when you're this, because you're helping people,
like I'm watching you and I just have such a deep life.
Anybody that knows Jay knows he's like this.
You said when Tom was called,
Tom the booker who was jamming, I love Jay.
Is that great?
I feel like you guys went get along.
I've never known Jay forever.
I know, Jay.
You always got a way.
I always bring him in to train my football players.
You were like, fuck you making me do?
No, you're just going to wrestle these 19 football players.
I'm like, do this for.
Yeah, I'm like, play man. I'm like, Brad, I'm fucking five seven in Jewish. You fucking do this. I don't have a difference. You know?
Yeah.
But so the story was straight.
I'm like, he's like, you want to talk about it.
It's not tonight.
He's just going to go to bed.
I could sleep this one off.
And he said, you want me to come over at least?
I said, nope.
And he goes, why have you never told me?
I said, I don't make the rules up for this shit, dude.
I just know with you, I felt ashamed.
But he goes, yeah, but you took away my,
I'm like, I'm not going to do this. I'm not going to do this. I'm not going to do this. I'm not going over at least I said, no, and he goes, why have you never told me? I said, I don't make the rules up of this shit dude.
I just know with you, I felt ashamed.
But he goes, yeah, but you took away my ability
to be your best friend for 35 years.
I could have been in all those years.
That's why I wrote this book.
But question, Jay, so he's just talking
to the straight hand struggle from any of this?
He, he understands it.
He gets it.
But he does, he, no, no, I'll let him talk about that.
Yeah.
But there's certain things now we connect on.
And he, and because now I'm kind of,
I'm doing a lot of inspirational talking on it.
How to get us through the shit.
How do you do it?
And when I talk to him about it, he's like,
Oh shit man, that resonates with that.
I get, like I really, with the most,
is the rock wrote my forward.
And he was like, do you gonna be a voice
for all of us in a great?
I can't talk about it.
And now he's starting to talk about it.
So he, like, and he didn't just like throw it away, he like really got deep in my shit
and interview me over.
And this and that, he's like, I want this to make a difference for all of us.
You're gonna be one of the leads.
I want to start talking about the rock.
The rock sometimes.
I don't know him.
I don't know.
But he's always always going going going going
Like his schedule so crazy when I see him laugh. I don't see his eyes laughing. So for me
I always think that there's something going on because the depression there is something in there and he's talking about it now
Yeah, I'm proud of it because that's what we need to do and then because I don't think listen, I don't think we're I'm in the minority
No, right? I think we're, I'm in the minority. No.
Right?
I think we're the majority.
Not what we talk about.
We talk about it.
A lot of times what drives you.
And it's such a successful people.
You're all, you can't be successful.
Not how it's so crazy.
You gotta be a misfit.
Right.
You never met a comic.
You never met a comic, Jay.
Right.
It worth their salt.
Who is normal and who had a less than chaotic upbringing.
Right, right.
Exactly. I mean, am I wrong?
But think about it, if more guys are open and talking about it,
I always think of my favorite player growing up
who I modeled myself a junior sale.
Right, right.
He's might've been CT, but I think that he talked about it
before he had a lot of depression before,
even before that.
He'd have a lot of depression, a lot of pressure on him
from his dad, like a lot, childhood trauma,
a lot of that is on junior sale.
Where if it was now, maybe you talk about it, maybe you know,
maybe you can save some people.
And where I'm trying to do with people,
I just talked to the last year, I talked to the Viking
and the sea hawks about this.
And I said, mental health is so reactive.
It's, and we're not proud of it enough.
Because you know, you break your arm, we sign your cast, right?
I came in here right away and I showed you guys my,
my MRI on my back, I'm like, look, fucked up my back is I miss my health for real five
I'm all fucking proud of this shit, right? We on to this our mental health. We hide it, right?
So I said but you guys are the only time we talk about mental health is when the sky is falling
We go to see a therapist. It's too late, but you guys don't just work on
Ketchum balls when you have the drops you don't just bench press when you feel you're getting weak,
you're constantly doing it.
So we got to start doing this reactively.
The problem is, it's probably not enough therapists
out there for us yet.
Got people who don't trust them enough yet,
which they need to, which are our coaches.
So in the meantime, I want to get us to lean into each other
and be our teammates, be our therapist.
And I said, think how much closer
this will make you guys.
If you all realize you're all in this shit together, you all got it, and you can lean into each other and be our teammates, be our therapist. I said, think how much closer so make you guys. If you all realize you're all in this shit together,
you all got it and you can lean in
to each other on this.
We're for guys.
We still gonna do it.
We're not doing it.
We don't do it.
We know each other.
We're as close as it gets,
but I don't think you could do this.
If you do this shit.
We've a couple times, but for the most part,
we don't fucking, we're doing work.
It's like, no matter what we're going.
It's a great, strained, I've been best friends
since 93. Our relationship has never stronger since we've been talking about this.
What can somebody do when they wake up?
So here, okay, so when I wake up and I'm having a fucking horrible day, like I'm just in my bed, damn, they're crying like man, just it's a hopeless,
like I said, heavy, dark, gray feeling.
like I said, heavy, dark, gray feeling.
On those days, I will call four friends of mine and it's the Shreys and the rocks and people.
And then two other people and tell them,
because the more I don't feel like I'm fighting
alone walking this walk with someone,
it helps out a little bit.
And then I'll call four other people.
You tell them, you tell them.
I'll tell them, I'm struggling today.
Man, they're gonna lie.
I don't know, I'm just struggling today. But even like one month. But I'm telling you, it's helped me. So when I'm upset, it's probably helps me. And I'm having one.
I'll tell Kurt Manifrey and how we long.
I'll go fuck him, have him one.
And it just to be able to say it, is, it takes the pressure off me a lot.
You know, it's not a lot.
Because you don't have to be, I don't know, I'm bringing your shadow in the room.
Yeah, I don't have to walk this walk alone.
I got this power in numbers.
I got a fucking thing.
I'm going to have to walk alone.
I'm going to have to walk alone.
I'm going to have to walk alone. I'm going to have to walk alone. I'm going to have to walk alone. I you don't have to be, I don't have to walk this walk alone.
Bring your shadow in the room.
Yeah, I don't have to walk this walk alone.
I got this power in numbers.
I got a fucking fight team with me, right?
But then I'll call four other dudes
and not tell them what's going on with me
and just check up on them.
Cause one of the things I try to use
to get through this is the P of service.
And by me checking up one of my boys,
that's me being a service.
And it really fucking helps me get through.
And you're, he's nodding us again over here.
All right, and just being a service helps me so much.
Whether it's charity work or just something simple like this,
just telling somebody else,
and then I'll immediately no matter what,
get myself some kind of workout.
Like if you can take workout and put in pill form,
it'd be the greatest thing to do.
You'd say to yourself, is there a way you talk to yourself
like when you wake up and stuff?
They God bless your fiancee.
Oh my God, so she, she, she,
you're shit on the, shit.
Absolutely.
No doubt, no, she's like, yes.
But here's the other thing too, I'm in, on 53.
This is the first time I've found love.
I've had been married and,
well you were in the way you were in the way
Probably I was I pushed everybody away a sabotage because I felt I wasn't worthy of it
So they can't possibly love me like this
So I'm gonna fuck it up before anything. This girl Rosie Tennyson is the
Is the first one and like the other two weeks ago. I had a little meltdown and she was like hey, hey, hey
I'm not going anywhere like I'm getting joke. They've talking about like, hey, hey, hey, I'm not going anywhere.
Like, I'm getting choked up talking about him.
I'm not gonna try.
I'm like, I'm not going anywhere and I get choked up
because she's like, I'm not going anywhere,
no matter what you can do, I'm here.
I am here, no matter what.
And that's the first time someone's really
got me and done that for me.
But my point is I'm 53.
So it's never too late to find him.
It's fucking huge, man. That's yeah, that's that's like that's like
What was your childhood like though Jay your parents?
Yes, yeah, just now stop. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I was gonna add those man. He's gonna fucking cast talk talk
It's great to be with my parents took me to the therapist when I was like four like I'm the fucked up one. Yeah
I'm like
It's just chaos.
It's just chaos.
The attacks, what he is, it's just chaos.
Just businessmen went to New York every day
and it was just chaos.
And I don't think they would look at it that way,
but I don't know how I look at it.
And you know, but it was,
but it was also, it's a chemical thing.
And I've also been on, here's the other thing.
I've been on over 30 meds and none have worked.
And like, listen, if there's anybody who should be a weed guy,
it's me, but fucking weed, I suck weed.
Me too.
Oh man, I fucking wish I was ready to.
Right?
I'm the founder.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm a part of a devil.
Shit, I can't breathe, I have to pee to my neck.
I've got the anxiety.
Oh, fuck yeah, I know it's terrible.
What about mushrooms?
If you try something, yeah.
I've actually done that with therapist.
And that has been a game changer for me. I've done some some deep like eight-hour sessions with them that got me to really see some
things. Why I'm so fucked up. I like saying I'm fucked up, but I'm good with my fucked upness. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. I've made it work for you. Yeah. But that's the other thing too. It's sad if you're coming here like asking us for
money. Yeah. Then this podcast isn't cool. Right. I know it's cool because you're sick here like asking us for money Yeah, then this podcast isn't cool right
I know it's cool cuz you're successful
Put on a sour maclocklin song
Like rap is it?
I need to broach 10,000
You guys mind if I back by Tuesday
You guys mind if I just give like go fun me up a real quick
Cuz I don't know right now we're like
God damn it Jay
Oh Jay so close
And then I know this bastard
He's not in here
He's not in his back he doesn't have depression
This is all the way.
It's exactly the root.
He's got a gambling problem.
I need to borrow the whole, the title of book I say, how I've turned my depression anxiety
and a motivation, and you can too, because, and then what this does also, it gets you to
feel so in love.
So I didn't really feel like I could feel love from the inside out.
So it forced me, it motivated me to go do all this great shit and to go
11 years without getting a full-time paycheck.
I was so damn motivated to go do great things to get some love from the outside in and hope
that one day they meet in the middle and I could live a peaceful existence.
And I'm still working progress.
I'm not there yet.
I'm getting there.
You had the right direction.
I'm heading to the right direction.
But I think you need those demons,
especially in the whatever bitch you're in with,
the inner team, stand up, whatever it is sports,
you need those demons, it's a rocket fuel.
It's a new challenge, right?
It's rocket fuel.
But at one point, we gotta take those monsters
and we gotta put them in a box,
because we deserve to be happy.
And I've had some spells that happen this now, since I've had some spells of happiness now.
Since I've opened up, talked about this,
I do a podcast now every week where I get to talk about this
with people I had Lindsey Vaughan on this week
and get to bond with her about it.
And you know, like,
She's been pretty open about her mental health.
Yeah.
But like comedians, I have a spade on in a couple weeks,
I have Freddie Prince Jr. on this week.
He's great.
I love Freddie's friend. Oh shit. He's telling Richard prior stories. So that's great with Prince Jr. on this week. He's got a lot of friends. I love Freddie's.
Oh shit.
He's telling Richard prior stories.
So that's why he was talking to his dad.
Yeah, definitely.
And I was just saying, yeah, his dad told me.
He's a great guy in his own too.
He's just, he is phenomenal.
But he's one of the best.
He allows me to now talk and get deep with people I never would.
And that's what I need.
I need like this.
And that's what made my career.
I had these deep relationships with people,
with these football players and fighters for all those years
Yeah, and now it's with everybody else and it's just a deeper. It's a deeper existence
Which is cool. We realize there's a community out there who love you and support and you guys can talk about it
I know that you're out of level two
Yeah, you can relate on that. Yeah, how'd you get into it like a Emma man having a gym and so I had a couple fights early early early. You did fight. Yeah, couple fights in O
three and think and then
Back in the early days when you're like you shit. Yeah, no, no, no back then it was just style versus style
I didn't know what a jujitsu. I got my ass choked out of my first fight
Could I have wrestling background box and bird had no jujitsu and then I was like what fuck of my first fight because I had wrestling background in Boxingburg, I had no jiu-jitsu, and then I was like, well fuck, I better go learn this shit.
I don't know what the hell a guillotine is,
and went to Hanzo's and trained on your Hanzo for a while
and did some tournaments,
and then my first day at Fox, I came in,
I was really busted up.
It was the other bonus thing.
What year's were you in Hanzo's?
Oh, three, two, six, I think.
Okay, so I was there 97, 98.
Okay, yeah, so, and I was just learning it,
how not to get choked out so I could ground them pound.
And my first day of Fox, I kinda come in there as O4,
and by then I'd gone out to,
well, I forget when I went out one point
at Arizona and joined,
I was on a combat sport.
So like me, Ryan Bader, Aaron Simpson,
CBD Allway, Jamie Varner, a whole bunch of us.
Real wrestling.
And it was great.
And all wrestling.
Yeah.
Eventually, Carlos Conda, Talice Leitez,
was Kane there then too?
No, Kane had gone to, he was wrestling it.
He was wrestling it.
I was on a state, but he went right up to San Jose.
And then, so I come in a fox my first day
and like my eye shut, my fucking ribs are bustin'
and my foot is broke and this and that
and David Hill, the chairman of Fox,
like fuck happened to you and kind of tell him my eye shut
and he's like, oh, I don't know what this thing is
you're talkin' about, but you will never fucking do it again.
Jason, you can't have that.
Well, I'm clearly not on TV for my looks
and I realize I am on TV for my life. You are. I'm not on TV for my looks, but I realize I am on TV for my life.
You are.
But as you know, like you can't stop it.
You can't have a broken nose.
But you can't stop.
Like it's kind of institutionalized.
I felt different.
I felt special.
Those bonds I had, you know, and my training partners
ended up being the Brandy Gatores and the Chuckel Dells
and, you know, the Chelsunners, guys like this.
But it's those bonds that you have.
And this is really where I started talking mental health.
After we beat the fuck out of each other,
we sent a cage and that's when we opened up to each other.
That's the best time.
Right?
And that's when you're most vulnerable.
And like, no one's questioning our manhood.
You start talking about it.
But I couldn't stop.
So I'm like, oh, I can't stop.
I love it.
I love the bonds there of these fight teams. I better learn how to do something else.
I started learning how to coach. I learned how to do something brandy. I had a coach and I realized back then, I'm like,
okay, if I can coach the fighter, I'm telling the fighter grind, the fighter violence through these football players,
but then take the sport IQ from football and give it to fighters, then it's a fucking right trade-off.
Because no one's watching film back then. There's nothing, you know what I mean? Because I was
Randy, but man, I would sit there at Strayon all night long and he would film, film, film,
film, film, and hours and hours. I'm like, what are you fucking watching? He's like, look, look,
right here. Look at John Runyon's foot. How it's out, you know, three inches turned to the right
on run plays when they're gonna bootleg out here. And I'm like, fuck are you looking at? how it's out, you know, three inches turned to the right on run plays
when they're gonna bootleg out here and I'm like, fuck are you looking at?
He's like, look, look at the Lester Holmes, the guards, Elbow has a slight twitch on second
and tails.
Dude, I'm believable.
So I'd learn that from them and taught it to fighters and then have the wrestling fighter
mentality to football players and then just kind And then just kind of change things around.
So we would work on hand violence and leverage.
And again, we did a billion hours of pummeling
with these guys to teach them leverage.
And like I said, Brandon come in and help him out
for a little bit.
And he's like, fuck you, Glacier.
Right?
Is there a monster?
Yeah, I always wondered like the level of athleticism
in the F obviously is just so stupid.
But it's the violence too.
It's like, you can, you know, the guys that really get it, the Andrew Wittworth and the
Lane Johnson, some of these guys, they fucking play forever because they get it because they
make it a fight and they just make it, you know, the re-luses make it violent.
Every fucking play.
Real violence from the island.
Totally different level, right?
There's like, you can go on forever.
But I don't really know, but I've heard him talk.
Like, what it takes to be in that fight on a football field
where the integrate is 100%.
You're always something's always wrong
and you're in a real fight.
But it's not worse than fighting.
Fighting, you can go in a game and come out of a game
and like, okay, I'm exhausted.
Fight, every time you go to fight, you're gonna come out. Something's gonna Yeah, I'm like okay, I'm exhausted fight every time you're gonna fight
You're gonna come out something's gonna be different about your body forever 100% forever
Is the best MMA fighter that Amy's ever seen playing in the NFL right now in other words that athleticism Yeah, but that's what makes John so but it's more than just athleticism
I feel like John if you put through a combine would do awful correct
That's just just IQ the way he's doing it.
But he's athletic for the sport.
Correct.
But that's why he's not going to run a great fool.
No, when they say athlete, it's dead.
Most things that they don't, and that's why I try and tell these football players, most
of these guys are signing up for sport.
They ain't signing up for a fight.
Right.
So if you make it a fight, most of these guys across me, they're gonna tap out.
And that's where our guys too,
don't put your hands on your hips.
Don't show your tire.
If you watch Andrew Whitworth,
he would go and everybody goes in a huddle, right?
Andrew, if you go back and watch film now,
he would only dip his right ear into the huddle.
Cause he'd look at everybody else
and see who the fuck has their hands on their hips.
Who's huffing and puffing and they'll turn back around.
Hey, let's go with that guy.
Let's go with that guy.
Watch Aaron Dallin for the ramps.
Yep.
It is a fucking fight.
Yeah.
Really?
And he's dominating too.
Oh, it's terrible.
He meets guys.
I think it's terrible.
So he's doing it with the helmet.
He's like six feet, 280 pounds.
Yeah, yeah.
But he is. He makes it, every single play,
he makes it a fight,
and he doesn't give a fuck about getting the quarterback.
He just wants absolute mass destruction
of anybody in front of him.
Every play.
So, like, I'm just in there practice and funny,
because like last year, they decided they have to like
tell him, like, hey, we're gonna give you a rest
as a veteran rest, but it's not really a veteran rest.
They're taking him out for a couple couple plays so they can have a real practice
Because when he's in there, yeah, you're not a real practice and then all of the DBs think they're way better than they are
Everybody else thinks are better. He fucks practice up that much. He's that dominant. Yes. So you have to have a real practice when he's not in
It's not real when he's in there. I guess he's that's true
I guess his first guys came on like you've seen anything like really? He's guys like him and Dominic and Sue and those guys
as well. Do you see that? Dominic and Julie is there's not. Yeah. He's different than
everybody. Really? Yeah. Yeah. I've been here. Well, you know, well done. He's an
outlaw. He's a father's daughter, which is named the Hall of Fame linebacker for the Falcons, not for the Baltimore.
Oh, Ray Lewis.
Ray Lewis.
Same thing.
I mean, Omar wrestler, right?
And I wrestled him back.
He just, oh, he was a wrestler.
Yeah, he was a wrestler too, but he also has that.
He has that every single play he goes back over and he would, it would be a new fight for
him.
It's every single play.
But also John Gray, like his mentality.
Yeah, absolutely. Of course Our stellar. Yeah, absolutely.
Of course, so, no, dude, I got to cover Lawrence one year.
I was gonna say because he's a giant.
Yeah, that was great.
It was awesome.
It was just, that my fuckers different.
He was the only guy I've ever been around my life, where if you, with Martians came down
and there was just 10,000 of us in the room, they would look over and go, okay, that fuckers different. Yeah. He was just different. Did you see his comments when they're like,
hey, your sack records and be broken and he goes, what? He was a dozen count. You see him
at opportunities they have today. He goes, I want you to look up how many sacks I had.
You're right. How many opportunities I had compared to how many the kids have.
I don't understand. That's a passing league. Yeah. Now, yeah.
They check everybody out 30 times more games. At least. And they a passing league. Yeah. Now, yeah, and they throw everybody out. 30 times more games.
At least.
And they protect you also.
So it's like the rules are different.
Yeah.
So it's my remember one time, Dick Vermeel telling me, said,
man, there was a game we're playing against Lawrence.
And we had four schemes just specifically to stop him.
Yeah.
Maybe the first one, be the the second one beat the third one,
beat the fourth one, four sacks, he's like,
I don't really know what else to do.
Yeah, well they had him blast you.
I think they had him blast you.
He's like a double team, triple team of chip.
Well, that's a slid, everything got in.
I think the quarterback for the Jats or wherever
was miked.
Yeah, and so on and so on.
You know, he got something better than that.
Yeah, so he's got to stop.
Yeah, and he would jump over the hat back,
the hat back, try to just predict.
He's like, I remember when he goes,
who's gonna, they get their talk in the quarterback
or someone says, who's blocking Taylor?
Yeah.
And he goes, the half back, and you hear the quarterback go,
no, he's not.
That's what I, he jumped over.
No, no, no, no.
And he didn't really try and he didn't work out.
No, God bless them.
No.
He's just, but he had no else as I can really do. Bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo- 245 and just all my I didn't appearance with him. Yeah, he blew out that hit but how he longs like that the freakiest most freakiest guy
I've ever been around I was around him when he was playing dude how he has a story how he was one of my
best friends
And and how he's also like and I write this in the books I
Part of the thing I do for my own
Depression shit is play jokes a lot because I like to laugh so laughing we're talking about comedians
Laughter I would say the gray hates laughter. So I'm always trying to laugh and fuck around
But how are you like everybody's afraid of so I would like he's like my muse like I play so many jokes on him
It's like I put one time I put a bumper sticker on his car like this fucking big
I love porn and he just drove around
Beverly Hills just fucking how we long right and then that's fine he's
trying to help Beverly Hills and he finally comes back in and people he goes
people are honking at me and they give me a thumbs up he goes just think
as I'm how we long like nobody will put a bumper sticker on how we long
this car like this right and then I got him again I can't say it because
not politically correct enough oh I got him again, I can't say it because not politically correct enough. Oh, I got him again. And he calls me. He drives his car in the Beverly Wilshire.
And it's a really fucking ronchy bumper stickers, really bad. And this black tie event is getting
out. And also, and they come over and they're like taking pictures of his car and the door
man over there, a boy droves like, Mr. Long, any chance you were Mr. Glazers today? He goes,
you know what? Oh, fuck. And he looks over, he's like, Mr. Long, any chance you were Mr. Glazers today? He goes, you know what, oh fuck,
and he looks over and there's this bumper sticker
and he calls me out, he goes,
do you leave another bumper sticker on my car?
I said, mom, who is this?
Do it!
He fucking, I drive him crazy.
I were like, he's scared.
One year I found out, one time I found out,
like our assistant, like what his flight info was,
and he was flying commercial.
So I waited to know exactly when he was in his seat.
And you know those like really bad,
like anyway, if somebody else, that shit,
where if you turn on, it's like a bad poem,
someone's like screaming and you can't stop it.
Yeah, so I fucking send him that.
And he's sitting there like first class, it's like,
ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah,
and he's trying to turn his fucking phone off.
And he's sitting next to an old lady up there
and he's like, what happens if that's the last thing
like the plane goes down,
that's the last thing that someone said,
I said, not my problem bro.
No, my problem.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Why are people afraid of him?
Because he's usually kind of serious.
And how we long?
Yeah, what you see is what you get.
He's a bad motherfucker.
Absolutely.
His kids are bad, I see.
His kids are bad, but they also can't,
like we can't believe you do that shit to the data.
I'm like, we can beat me up.
Every hear him talk about his dad, like how are we long?
I think he beat his own data.
That, we won't get into his data.
Oh, really?
Is that how it's bad?
He told a story.
He told a story.
I'll let him tell.
But there was one time I was training Kyle,
and kind of long, and our old spot,
the spot you came and trained at, right?
And so we're kind of going over hand violence with Kyle. So most of these linemen, they're used to kind of trained at, right? And so we're kind of like going over hand violence
with Kyle.
So mostly, line men, they're used to kind of open-handing, right?
So I'm like, instead of smashing guys' forms,
open hand, let's hammer fist, right?
Teach like a hammer fist that fighters use on your form.
So it's same thing as like a little leg kick,
attack those nerves over and over and over and over
and over and over and you know, I don't care how tough you are,
eventually you're gonna get that grip, right?
So we're going over with Kyle and how he like buddy kept buttoning and kept buttoning and I'm like how you're
like fucking honey boo booz mom just sit over there and let me fucking work with Kyle you can bring
him here and he kept buttoning I said how we let me show you we're doing and I'll send I go
I fuck oh shit and I crack how he's a crack his form was I'm a fist and he goes
Why the fuck would you do that while and he goes and he gets like
His car key and he puts it in here in between his knuckle and fucking tries to punch me in the eye
You know with his car key like
Is fucking how we love it like I caused pain and he was gonna fuck me up.
You know what?
I put his car key right in the middle of his fucking
his two fingers and try to fucking tag me in the face with it.
Yeah.
So how is, how is no joke, no, no joke, no joke.
No, he's like, he's another guy who's, I worked, I did a thing.
I didn't work with him, but he was, when I was doing that TV,
we were in New Orleans and he was helping us do some
bits and stuff.
And I remember just being in the same trailer,
he was cheating, he was putting on his mic on.
He was rock on.
Well, I just couldn't believe how big he was,
like his jaw, like he just looks like,
like a cartoon character.
Same here.
And his hand, I shook his hand, he had this,
I think a Rolex on, you know, you just feel like for your guy,
Bill, like me, you just feel like such a bitch.
What were you, how, were you, how did you play calls well villain over oh wow small time school too tiny
Yeah, yeah, but he was too and he's actually too 80. Yeah, he's just he's told now like he's still the same size
Yeah, and why do you stop being he was being a movie star for a while he was starring. Yeah once he had
Kids starting. Yeah, he's like he, yep, broken hour and firestorm,
fresh. We give him a lot of shit over those. Um, but he just want to spend time with
the family. Yeah. He's like, that's it. I'm gonna like he on sad.
He's the best dad. So, you know, I, I adopted my son and I learned how to be
a dad from him. Like I literally, I kind of don't know if fuck I was doing.
And then like, you learn from howie
Yeah, like he's such a great guy. You're a doctor. You sent how old a man was to let's go on a Sammy
Yeah, I think you met him right yeah, I met him
Yeah, yeah, and he you just cited adopted the I was with the mom and then we split up
I want to be with him and so I dumped him after we got after we split up and he's just he's my dude
That's cool. It was awesome. That's amazing.
But I know what the fuck I was doing.
So I literally like, like, like,
turn on like how we really.
To both of us kids playing the NFL.
To them, two of the three.
To them, yeah.
Yeah, and the other one were,
to the next, yeah, Calzist.
Just, uh,
do you play same position?
No, you're often lineman.
Pro, he's the meanest, nasty,
it's fucking,
boy, boy, boy, boy.
Dude, you will ever be around around like that's who you want.
That's critical.
I recorded it.
Kyle.
Yeah.
The only one that didn't play that, I felt was the Howard.
How we see, look at, look, look, go down to Kyle.
Does he not look like a cast off from taking?
Look at the size that I'm up for.
Any of the boxes in this stomach.
He is the strongest dude who's ever put his hands on me in my entire life.
Oh, yeah.
And I've trained
Oh, man, we've trained
Fuck, I don't know thousand athletes over the course all these years. Yeah, he's been slim. He ain't slim like that and
He is now, but man, he's a slimmer now. Yeah, he's a mean fucking
It's exactly who you want protecting your quarterback. Yes. Jesus. So he played like four games and was 20th pick of the draft.
He was also the number one pitching prospect in America.
Left hand and pitching prospect went down a Florida state for full ride and left there
in a playing football.
But we have a again, so you see the size of fucking guy.
So there's a, there's a there's a same pad these
day week he comes out and he would stay with me when he was gonna train and he
would be my son's manny stay with me it'd be sammy's manny and it was great I
train and it was fucking fantastic he's my little brother and so he's flying
back out and he's gonna stay with me for a while I said I'm with this bar over in
west hollown we always hung out called rock a little while. I said, oh, I'm at this bar over in West Hollywood. We always hung out, call Rock and Rollies.
And I said, come eat us Rollies
and just drop your shit off at the house, come eat us there.
It goes great.
So I said, Sammy's there.
Go mess with Sammy for a little bit, come eat us.
So I said, I'm sitting at the bar
and Kyle calls me and he goes, you moved.
I was like, fuck did I not tell you?
He goes to my old house, kicks the door in,
and he's like, Sammy, where are you, motherfucker?
And it's like these two old people there,
and they're like, no, no, your friend
no live here anymore.
Like, he's like, so you know,
Sasquatch comes kicking in the door.
Oh my God, he's like, he's too Korean.
Come on, Jay. He's like, I was answer man. He's too Korean. Come on Jay.
He's like, it's like an old European couple.
But he's like, they had like the old phone
with the wire with the cord.
And they're like, we're gonna call police now.
And he's like, I don't know what accent I'm trying to do,
but yeah, that was.
What does his third son do?
Works for the Reddors.
Okay, great dude.
Great dude.
He's got an amazing job with Omen.
Him and Diane, they're incredible. Like I said, I learned from them. He's an amazing job with home him and Diane they're incredible like it's high learn from them
So it's that whole thing the whole
Yeah, yeah, demands excellence
How he see yeah, I just want a couple suit bowls. That's it. Yeah, that's right
That's kind of crazy. Yeah, I know chances think about the chances that just getting into well if your dad's how he long
Come to that genetic so you look at the NFL
Just getting into. Well, if your dad's how he long came to that genetics, or you look at the NFL, it's
like, yeah, it's just a great separation, yeah.
It is genetic.
Do you still train a lot of guys getting ready for like, pro days and stuff?
No, no, and I stop with the combine guys.
You were doing that for a little bit, yeah.
It was doing it for a while, yeah, and I kind of like, I think guys, it's just changed.
How so.
Back then, like now, listen, being famous,
ain't the same as being great.
And a lot of them think it's the same thing.
And everybody's famous now, because of social media.
But they haven't done anything.
They haven't done shit.
They don't really have the desire to do it,
because they're famous and rich.
Not good.
We're back in the day, the only way you got famous and rich
if you made probals. So it was different work as a family I like that and I want to sound like the old grouchy guy
But I won't show my body on the line and I do all this shit
I'm pummel with these guys I do hand fighting. I box with these guys. We fucking do combo for combo spar and shit like that
And I'm like over time. I'm like man
If they're not gonna try and be the Lane Johnson's in the and Andrew with some guys like that
I don't fucking I don't think I want to put my butt and Couture was doing it for me with me for a while
and Randy had a heart attack in the gym so that was a who you know where that's really no.
Do you hear about that one? Yeah I've heard yeah yeah no you have full one heart attack in the gym
and uh is he okay now? And so Grong's in the gym working out, and we're doing MMA and chest,
and he started feeling that during the workout,
he finishes the workout, and all of a sudden,
he's something's wrong, he gets home,
and he's like, fuck, something's wrong,
he runs to Cedar Sinai,
because he didn't wanna do a parking, okay?
That's where he can tour, right?
That's where he can tour.
Yeah, it's like the anti-Uber ad right here, right?
Yeah, yeah.
So he runs to fuck his heater sound.
I get the call.
He has a full widow maker hard to that.
And you know, that is fully like when you have a compromise in your air.
Well, full blockage.
Yeah, full blockage.
So he has like 15 minutes to live is what they told us.
So Gronk is like, man, I see what you're talking about like with this MMA program
you have here. Like if I can get someone like Randy has behind his ribcage
and put in me, I'll be unbreakable.
I said, well, hold that thought
because when he has behind his ribcage
it's about to fucking get in.
You know what I'm saying?
Let's see how it ends.
I come fucking racing down to Cedar Sinai.
I had a bad both my lungs aspirated during a procedure
before I opened them breakable.
And I woke up at Cedar Sinai and ran he was at my gurney.
And I was there, I fucking woke up there,
he's at my gurney, I'm like, well,
if I'm dead I ain't in heaven,
because if I was his fucking ass wouldn't be here.
So, I'm like, I gotta be there for him.
So I come, fucking busting through, post-op, and boom,
I'm not waiting for them to tell me I can get in there.
And I come breaking through and he's like,
he's fully awake, they put a stent in,
he's like, all right, I'm good to go.
I said, this is like 15 minutes out.
I said, we need me to go to go, I go,
she I'm ready to leave.
I said, let's not leave, let's see what's going on here.
And he goes, I'm good.
I said, fuck, that's not, first of all, I'm glad you're alive.
Because if you died, we'd have to change the name of the gym to breakable.
It's not a brand.
Yeah, it's a bad brand, right?
So, because, no, I'm good to go.
I said, fuck, dude, let's just hold on here.
And meanwhile, the doctors have told us, like a billion times,
he's fighting days or over, he's training days or over,
I go, hey, don't fucking tell him that.
Like, don't take away his hope, right?
Just shut the fuck, and so I still, again, after the doctors,
just, no one fucking come here and tell him again
that he almost died and all this shit just, you know,
so a little bit later, he starts sweating,
kind of loses color.
I'm like, hey, you all right there dude?
And he goes, I don't know, something's going on.
So we bring the doctors in.
I'm like, don't tell him.
They don't die and all this shit.
First thing they said, and they said they said and they said what's your
what's your pain level at right now and he goes yes about a two and I go you can't ask this
fucking guy who's pain level right so he goes they go what was your I said you can't ask this guy
with his pain level he's different than the rest y'all and they said what was his pain level, he's different than the rest of y'all. And they say, what was your pain level at the height of the heart attack?
He goes, I was a little worse, I'd say I was about a four.
So I go, wait, I said, Randy broke his arm against Caprogansaga, right?
I said, what was your pain level like that?
And he goes, didn't fucking hurt, it was a broken arm, it was just pressure.
So he knocked that's what you're dealing with.
Yeah, that's what you're dealing with.
So, a four to him is a four,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, here? He goes, come on, let's go. I said, dude, we're not doing this.
Like, let's, you're three weeks out of a heart attack.
He goes, let's go.
Let's gear up.
I said, bro, he goes, only thing is I'm on blood thinners,
but that's not your problem, that's my problem.
So I was like, bro, he goes, I would do it for you.
You was like, all right, you're right.
Oh, fuck.
He's just slowly moving.
So we went in. Randy's a thing. We went in, bro. He's just slowly moving. So we went in.
Oh, Randy's a thing.
We went in, bro.
The fucking round ended.
He didn't stop.
Second round ended.
We didn't stop.
They're around it.
He didn't stop.
He just kept going and going.
And he just, the style that we coached from him,
it's just relentless.
It's just on you, on you.
You don't like the pressure is a weapon. And. It's just it was a fucking one of worst sessions ever
How are you and you would break people? Oh absolutely. That's old handsome breakable
And it just doesn't stop doesn't stop so we finally finish up like four or five rounds
Takes his gloves off those amount of fucking grounds as they fuck those doctors
Walks out of cage and proceeds to coach for another five hours. It's Randy Catollar.
Yeah, he's different.
So it's like your general doctor assumption,
and you're like,
just for business purposes.
Oh man, night.
And if you was about to go and hate it,
you say you're at 25 or something.
It's not a man.
And they hold him out.
Randy was like 104.
Yeah, 16.
He's, he's worth 49.
49.
59.
Legend, right? Yep, there you go. Some sound of a bitch. Oh
June 22nd
What's the date? Okay, you asked for you turn 60 soon now shit, all right. Yeah, he's different man
He is he is a different guy just a legend, but he's the best man to him thing. He is
One of the best friends I ever had man. He's still a little dude. He's still involved with not not really right like his son's not really fighting
Anymore and bell. Yeah, but his son he I think his son took over extreme guitar right
It's kind of retired up to Flagstaff is doing the acting thing
Yeah, he's great. Yeah, it was awesome dude that Ed
Wait, he's the best man. Terry Cruz. That's that's enough
Well, then it was me him and Chuck too, so we would work out together.
Don't say that when he had to draw his pictures
on the screen though, right?
Terry Cruz played football.
He did.
I know.
For Washington.
Well, once the greatest, I'm gonna find
about time Terry Cruz had a cappuccino with the charges.
I thought he played it for a long time.
No, he was at like an all-pro, no.
No, no, no.
No, no, Randy is Randy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Randy's fucking different., no, no, Randy is Randy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Randy's fucking different.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Who I'm in with with everybody.
So there was one time too, where the gym and it's the loans
like, hey, I'm gonna, what, I gotta kill Randy off
and expendables.
I said, you can't do that.
He's a, what do you mean?
I said, yeah, that's our guy.
You can't do that.
He goes, you're fucking told me.
Because I fucking trained with you.
You shit ass, Jim. I can't kill off one of my people I go exactly he goes
I cut in arm off I say as long as he's alive yeah it's great tell me okay
they just did another expendable fucking friend of the year right there
yeah damn right dude
you're a friend of your friend of the fuck
you're a man you paint mortgage that's a deal she's pretty awesome you can't kill him all
like it who said Jake laser oh shit you got him to change your youth and prevent yeah
uh that a john annic shirt it is nice more shithaiming yeah we had john on the shop show today
john ack was on the other podcast he's the man he's the man he went to brine stands wedding oh
night he's really close to br Stan. Stan's a great guy.
I just found this week.
I did, I am see,
hire heroes of Anton and Lannifred.
How is he doing Bryan Stan?
Crushing.
Incredible.
Yeah.
That dude's customer.
That dude, I don't know who he was in the previous life.
He could replace Dana.
Like if Dana, where is anybody?
If Dana were to leave the UFC,
he's the guy for the job.
Really?
What's he do now though?
Or the commissioner or the president or. I'd vote for him for president. He, he, he, he, or should be the job. Really. Yeah, what's he do now though or the commissioner or the president or
Like I vote for him for president. He he
The governor of California. Yeah, he went out as masters
Um, he was we're broadcasting the UFC together at Fox. Yeah, crushing business. I don't know
Who he was in a previous life, but I think he was like Jonas Salk and like God has blessed him with his life coming forward. It's like he's incredible
He is incredible great silver star human being got silver star from President Bush
Went on WC light every way champ of the world and he was great at commentating to and he's
Sporting play football anapolis. Yeah incredible. Yeah, like he's done everything. Stod Yeah, it makes me feel nice is It's a great dad too. Incredible dad. Yeah, great dad.
Just got remarried in Malibu and that's where I saw him.
Oh shit, I know.
And then I moved to Malibu as a result.
They moved out there.
Yeah, yeah, I was living in Arizona.
Moved out here with my girl.
Love it.
Five dollars.
Yeah, it's great out there brother.
Oh, fantastic.
I'm out there all the time.
Oh yeah?
All the time.
Was my kid.
Where are you hanging out?
In Malibu.
Yeah.
Yeah, I love it out there.
All right, Jim, what do you got? Yeah, shut the Brian Stan.
Definitely.
So first of all, a friend of the show,
Jelly Roll, he'll be performing on American Idol.
I don't think, so Jelly Roll,
he did that performance at Laney Wilson,
which was a great big idiot.
Yeah, he did his huge song,
he's number one song in which he was saved me.
But you don't realize how big time
Jelly Roll is now, because American Idol, people make fun of song, his H1 save me. But you don't realize how big time jelly roll is now,
because American Idol people make fun of it,
I watch it every episode.
But for him to be the feature on the finale of American Idol,
it's usually like Katy Perry, Shakira, JLo.
It's fucking our boy Jelly Roll.
I know, dude.
You know, a tattoo's on his face,
it makes us get drunk with him.
He's on American Idol. It's insane sweet heart of it
I take him last night. I'm like bro American Idol you go you watch it. Oh do I?
That's what I was like what to make sure you knew but yeah, obviously yeah, I mean they were texting last night
Nuts up insane dude. So and did you watch it at the CMAs with that Laney Wilson? Yeah, I saw the clip. God. It's good
She's freaking killing it right on to Laney Wilson. She wanted it saw the clip. God, it's good. Yeah. She's freaking killing it right now too, Laney Wilson.
She wanted every word.
She had a great quote, she goes,
for all you dreamers out there,
you gotta be a doer.
She was everyone has dreams,
the difference is I grind it.
I'm a doer.
Not only am I a dreamer, I'm a doer.
So I had the dreams by putting the work
to get to my dreams.
That's awesome.
You're gonna tell you the dream,
but you gotta do it.
Yeah, take action.
It was a great message.
Yep.
I'm like a lot of you, I saw a couple episodes recently.
Yeah, remember that girl was saying the,
the Whitney Houston song?
Oh, nuts.
Oh my God, it was unbelievable.
Nuts, yeah.
It's crazy.
I like the big Hawaiian dude.
Yeah, everyone loves it.
Yeah, I don't know if he's gonna win
because he sings the song.
From what I've heard, Hawaiian song every time. All he does is the Hawaiians, I'm like, every week. Yeah, everyone loves him. Yeah, I don't know if he's gonna win because he sings a song. From what I've heard, Hawaiian song, every time.
All he does is the Hawaiians.
I'm like, every week, don't breath.
That's the same guy.
That's the same.
That's the only thing.
No matter what it is, it's like pop culture week now.
He's singing, you know, the Hawaiian shit.
He's only in Hawaiian.
Is that guitar or ukulele?
It's gotta be ukulele.
I think he's gonna go out.
But he's so big.
Yeah, look like he's like a ukulele.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But it might be a guitar. Yeah. He's a mate, he's the one I showed you with his video looks like a deal. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but it might be a guitar.
Yeah.
He's a mate.
He's the one I showed you with his video is Dad dying.
Yeah.
Oh, jeesh.
Yeah, his dad passed away, so he stopped singing that his mom
submitted his video.
No, really?
To the adult now.
Yeah, I missed all that.
Oh, wow.
That's so much better.
I think that's a guitar.
It looks like a mix.
It looks like a guitar.
But you know, it's a huge.
He's huge.
He has to be 400 pounds.
Ah, yeah.
Six strings. Right? For me, that's an oversized guitar. Yeah. Yeah, to be 400 pounds. Six strings.
For me, that's an oversized guitar.
Yeah, yeah.
I can think of it as a pancreas.
That's like when I was surfing because I'm so big, you know, like, my board's huge.
You know, your paddle board?
I'm like, no, that's my surfboard.
What do you got to do?
So speaking of music, this is not that new, but so Ed Sheeran, remember who's thinking out loud songs
sound a lot like Marvin Gaye.
And the Marvin Gaye family was suing him.
Yep, here's what's interesting.
He goes, did you think?
No, I didn't think so.
What, the beat is almost identical,
but Ed Sheeran's case was so smart, so good.
Because it's like a chord progression, a chord pattern.
But he showed examples of that.
So many other songs, using the same chord progression.
That's how a lot of music uses the same,
I didn't steal from a lot of people
use these same progressions.
What's interesting before the trial,
he goes, if I'm found guilty in this,
I quit.
He's like, I'm out.
Cause it takes the inspiration away.
And I was critical about this too,
cause I thought it sounds so hard.
Yeah, you're right.
But, no, no, but I was just like,
you know, you played it for the time of your year.
Yeah, but I mean, yeah, anyways, he won. So that's beautiful, that's great. He was a judge on American Idol, you hate it. No, no, but I was just like you played it for the memory. Yeah, but I mean yeah
Anyways, he wants so that's beautiful. That's great. He's a judge on American Idol. He's great. Yeah, great
A lot of shit
He got off social media people are so mean
Yeah, cuz they just looks for whatever reason
What about mental health right? That's something you need to study and that that's where I tell people to like if like you don't have to have my level
depression anxiety And that's where I tell people to like if like you don't have to have my level to press an anxiety
For you to be going through gray because first of all Instagram makes us all think our lives suck We compare ourselves to everybody else's filtered filtered
Fraction of one second fifty seconds other day
You know like man liquid. He like yeah, how come my meal doesn't work like that look like that
How come I don't have that car? Why am I not at that part? It feels so fucking ripped out.
Yeah, promo, right?
Right.
Or, if we feel like losers, like, man, look how great
these people are doing.
It's not real.
Or on like Twitter, like, like, we got our ass kicked
into playground, we're on up.
That's suck for like a month.
But now we see it a thousand times a second on Twitter
every day.
And like, the human condition's not meant for that.
So yeah, it's like, no, the studies on that
are gonna be, no.
Yeah, it's man.
Like, suicide's up for a reason. Mental health is the worst it's like, the studies on that are gonna be, no, it's man. Like two sides up for a reason, mental health
is the worst it's ever been.
I think it's a straight compute contributor
to social media.
And the more that comes out, listen,
I'm a confident dude, I don't suffer from depression.
Sure, I go through spells and stuff,
I don't have a clinical depression.
That gives me, I was a tool.
I'm out.
I post and goes.
I'm Twitter, I might comment back here and there. there other than that I post and goes. It's terrible
I don't like anybody else's shit. I have people calling me like what do you mean?
Like I'm trying to stuff know that I'm like what do you up to me? He's like oh, dude
I just played the beacon. I sold out like how do I know that yeah?
Social media. I'm like I'm not on I don't look at it like you do
I'm like I call him like tell me tell me what you're doing. Like don't make, don't assume I know cause it's social media.
And just cause we're successful,
don't mean our feelings don't fucking hurt.
Yeah.
And my wallet is not an antidepressant.
That's right.
Yeah, exactly.
Because you're quote unquote celebrity
that you're fair game and you don't feel anything.
I'm more emotional and most,
which got me more sensitive.
Right, absolutely.
Yeah.
No, it's fucking terrible, man.
Also, you're life life I think to be
Successful at anything your life is a lot of times less than glamorous so people can see what life is really like on a movie set
I like the amount of hurry up and wait and shit
I'm just sitting there eating like you're there are 16 hour days all day and you're on some roof somewhere eating from play
But even your job like like they see you you know break this big new story and then I feel like massive
new story.
They just see that.
Like you have no idea.
He was up all night.
Yeah.
Certainly.
Yeah.
Conceal and con.
No one's filming that.
No.
You want to do this when you don't have something.
Yeah.
Well, that's the end.
The only stuff with the highs and lows you go through.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, man.
Movie stars.
They live that. You know, you got to fucking fucking everybody, they're doing parties all the time.
I go, do you ever been around real actors
who are working, talk to people who have to wake up
at five in the morning every day.
It's just all work.
It's a nice, it's fucking all work.
And even getting there, the rejection,
you'll have to go through.
Over and over and over and over.
Over and over.
You know, show any people don't know that.
I got seven years.
Seven years, yeah. In 25 years. Seven years. They were good. That's a thousand years of showin' it. You don't know that. I got seven years. I got seven years. Seven years, yeah.
In 25 years.
Seven years.
They were good sets.
That's a lot of fuckin' rejection.
But for real.
That's acting.
That's that good, yes, that's what it was.
I got, I swear to God somebody said,
I was doin' this thing, I said,
can you tell us about success?
I was doin' the Goldbergs,
I was doin' the School of Art.
And they said, can you tell us,
like how do you become successful?
I said, successful?
So I'm 50, I was 53, it's time I go,
all right, here's what you do.
You sit in traffic for your 20s and 30s,
and even a lot of your 40s here in the word no,
and then you'll get seven yeses,
and just hold on.
That's all you're doing.
That's all.
We'll talk to Michael's,
no one was falling his career the first four years.
Right, right.
I would love to see Michael there.
So that's the story. That's the great experience too.
Yeah, and you saw it firsthand. And then it was all of a sudden, boom, he gets, you know,
15 sacks and gets a contract in San Tv. And he and I used to go to the same fucking places
every single night for, for those five years, the first five years. And all of a sudden,
all those people who were sitting there, we're all
coming to our table, offering them jeans company, after jeans company, record label, record label.
Somebody offered them ostrich farm to invest in, strawberry picking field. Everybody has the
next Napster back then, her the next Myspace and this and that. And I'd be the no guy. I'd
sit there and go, Hey man, it's look like our office too. You've been sitting there for
four years having said, shit, and sudden you see him get paid on TV.
Now you're trying to get his money, you gotta go.
And we'd have this good cop bad cop thing.
And then I had the same thing with Chuck and Randy made it.
You know, no, then before they made it all
something same thing happened.
Or the recharge or all those people.
And no, everybody's trying to get a good friend
running your table.
Yeah, you tell you.
You're gonna be the same.
You're gonna be the same.
Damn right.
They all tell you, I tell everybody, don't invest shit.
Just use your name and get mail money.
And everybody out of the same,
email money, what do you mean?
Like let them send you money in a mail
for using your name and like this.
But if you don't, they don't, you can't lose it.
So everybody have the same thing they say, listen,
we're gonna give you two percent of this,
but if you give us 500,000, we'll give you 10%.
Imagine if you had 10% of Facebook instead of two percent,
and I'd be like, go with two percent, bro.
Yeah.
Yeah, it will.
No risk, yeah.
And that's where guys get in trouble.
They, in his funnig his athletes,
want to be businessmen and businessmen want to be athletes.
So they don't want to kind of get their athletes around them.
So it was a really good experience for me to have in that.
Yeah, that's cool.
I was able to kind of live up myself.
So I'm never in the same thing really.
Yeah.
Well, the first question I asked those guys would be,
how much of your money do you have in this?
Yes, I see.
Yeah.
Right.
How much can I see that?
Right, right, right.
500 grand.
Do you have 500?
Drive your own.
Your money.
You fucking asshole.
Well, you should get to.
All right, this is pretty scary.
MLB.
Have you seen this picture getting hit in the head with a 19.
Fine drive?
Yeah, 19.7 mile per hour.
Do we want to see it?
Yeah, I'd love to see it.
Oh, good God.
Play real quick.
Bam.
Oh!
It was so terrifying.
I'm trying to get the brown and it's DJ broke.
I'll try not right away.
He was able to walk off the field,
but he did suffer a fracture.
That's another hit him on the fracture.
Fracture skull, like a small fracture in the skull, and obviously a concussion.
Damn.
But not a few non-part of it.
You can say that.
He looked alright though.
Yeah, he was able to walk off.
Wow.
Working so much of those terrible Rockies, Joseph.
He's walking off there.
But I mean, you know, who knows how much damage it's going to be.
Yeah. Later on, so I mean, you know, who knows how much damage is gonna be later on so
Jesus I hate that and they put them on the injured list for like 15 days, which I thought was kind of small
short, but I don't know you probably all right all right
Should we do this one?
Let's do this one
Okay, so Brian I remember you mentioned this last week, I think, about a hotel manager who's
stuck into someone's room and sucked their toes, like at 5 a.m.
Another dude, too.
I don't know why that's weird, but do they drugable?
It's so weird.
You don't know why?
No, apparently I'm kidding.
Apparently, I just came in, robbed him and then sucked.
What's so weird is that he's sucking, I'm assuming he gets toes.
And then I'll show you.
I'm sort of not there with these toes.
That's the guy that sucked his the suck it all he looks like a
Tossucker
Amongst other things yeah, yeah, so the guy now suffering from the guy that got got his toes sucked is suffering from PTSD and
Soon this guy
That would be terrible
Game and yeah, so Terri. Close toes. Also sucking. Clearly. Clearly gay man.
Yeah.
So this, you totally, I'll leave you a Brian.
Yeah, fans kept on sending this in and saying, I'm sorry Brian.
Well, is that spray, because when you know, is when you know what you look like in real
life, people are saying it looks like Brian for some reason.
Great.
A little bit.
Great.
Wait, they spray paint his eyebrows in beard?
Yeah.
Sure, I've worn that. I've done that. All right.
If you've made him one, Cheeto Vera sent in. I love Cheeto Cheeto. Cheeto said
there's hope for Brian. Yeah. I love that motherfucker. Look. Cheeto star. Yes,
that they're all like, there you go, bro. Bad here. Dude. Guys, here's
tear. What? Look at him. Look at him. He's great. I want to play the
music, but I can't be. I think you either got to do that or lead lead Jay. He just decided
Look at this guy great body
He owns the Patriots
Oh that dude.
Oh, God.
Um, I don't know what else.
Oh, this okay.
So a lot of people tell us in this as well.
They thought Brian would like this girl.
Well, I'm into her.
So she gets that.
What, seven figures?
Someone that's in her face, she's so pretty.
That she's a little too jacked.
Really, Brian?
Oh, please. I thought I'm much from that. So I went to her Instagram. She's too pretty, that she's a little too jacked. Really bad? Oh, please.
I thought I'd watch her.
So I went to her Instagram.
She's too much testosterone.
They call it the Kendall General steroids.
When it is flood, disalva, Galaghan,
but the Zura Instagram.
Yeah, I'm not into the steroid thing.
I like a muscular woman, but now that's I'm a fan of,
but that's too big in the arms and.
She's just, yeah, dude. Yeah, I know she is. but that's too big in the arms and she's just yeah, dude
Yeah, I know she is I've seen her you do
Yeah, she's Brazilian is she Brazilian believes. Oh, yeah
Yeah, there's that name's not very Brazilian. Yeah, but she is though
But oh yeah people thought you might see she's just counts all day well. I'm gay so I
Okay, so this is the yeah, how about this dumbass?
NBA dumb boy, so this is the second time he had a
Instagram live or whatever and showing a gun and now he could potentially be suspended
I got a friend too. That's my that's why I hold
Your friend like his friend to her and put this on Instagram. Why if he's even carried gun around the polish should be no
Social media like you found in the car note. Why, if he's even carried gun around, the policy should be no social media.
Now, you found him in the car,
why would his friend post this?
But after you got suspended,
why would you ever hold that up in a car?
And he went through all the protocols
and all the suspensions.
So he's losing tons of money because he's an all-pro.
They didn't vote him all-pro because of this
outside the field.
It's not.
Yeah.
So now he's gonna be suspended.
Who knows how long?
Yeah.
You got a major sister.
Bill Burr has an old,
he's controversial joke about this.
Where is he suspended?
He's been already.
You ever hear Bill Burr's joke about this?
Like the paraphrasing and he'd be like,
a lot of these black athletes need a white friend.
So you can be like,
hey dude, you know you got a gun slide
