We are posting this Flop House Movie Minute a little early in order to help you win big at your Oscar party by picking the best picture winner by the only scientific means available. Antigrams. It has been proven that the title with the awesomest anagram always wins, which was confirmed by last year's win by no country for old men, aka, Fry Monocled Nun Route. So let's apply the anagram system to this year's crop of nominees. First off is milk. The only anagram for milk is milk, and that's barely an

The best anagram for the reader is Earth-Dear, which has a certain poetic, images, William Carlos Williams' quality, but lacks snap. We can safely bet against the reader. Frost Nixon is slightly more promising. Its letters rearrange into Snort No Fix, which is clearly an anti-cocaine statement. While the Academy typically rewards message films, usually they like messages that bludge you in the most overt way possible, rather than one subtly hidden in the letters of the movie's title. Thus we can eliminate Frost
Starting point is 00:01:30 Nixon. Now we get down to the real contenders. Slumdog Millionaire provides us with a veritable cornucopia of riches. A million sumo girdle. A limo oil mud slinger. A modeling oil is rum, just to name three. The last of which has the advantage of being a complete sentence, albeit an enigmatic one. Slumdog millionaire may be a contender. However, the curious case of Benjamin Button reigned supreme in the Anagram Wars, yielding a fusion barbecue can join the mutt. Not only is it a complete sentence, but the image is vivid, a nuclear powered cookout resulting in a hideous, simeis twin canine.
