On today's episode of the Fumbarooski podcast, an action-packed episode for you today with Christmas right around the corner.
We're going to get into a lot, including our Ruski game of the week, where the Bears got the win against the Packers, Patriots, 11-point comeback victory against the Ravens.
Steelers went on a controversial OPI penalty.
We're getting to some Christmas themes as well.
Nadia, nice contracts, which ones were good, which ones were good, which ones were.
but bad and then we'll get into week 17 game picks along with a recap of Monday night football
in the week 16 top three bottom three it's a long one it's a long one this is the
fulmariski podcast it may not have always showed it in the stat sheet but you can see him making
throws when he needs to make the throws back to back games where he has three touchdowns
so one's got to get that six or seven spot he's an elite wide receiver as a rookie truly a lose
loose scenario for both sides
Welcome to the Fulmariski podcast by Power 88 Dean Radio in Secret Weapon Consulting.
We got C.J. Medeiro, I'm Chris Costich, and we got Adam right in the back in the control room.
No Justin Tucker today.
So convenient that he's not feeling good right after the Ravens lost to the Patriots.
We'll get to that later on.
So obviously, since we're doing Week 17 game picks today, no episode on Friday.
to re, unfortunately, to recap the Christmas games.
But since it's a long one today, feel free to split up the episode and listen on Friday as if we did post on Friday.
Let's get into the Ruski game of the week, though.
Bears edge out the Packers in a comeback thriller, 22 to 16.
Boy, this kind of was basically like the first time around, right?
Bears felt like they were dead in the water for most of this game.
The offense was bad, say the least.
But once again, Caleb Williams, when it mattered the most, got it done in the second half.
Two touchdown passes, including the game winner in overtime.
And another gritty wild win for Bears and another game where they have.
If you look at this team from last year, they have no business winning the game, and they wouldn't win the game.
This year, completely different, and you could look at so many games where it's been that type of story.
And on top of that, bears get their revenge against Packers from earlier this year.
Along with that, along with the Lions losing, Bears have clinched a playoff spot, and they're looking prime.
very prime right now to take the NFC North,
especially as mentioned, with the loss from the Lions.
So right now they're second in the NFC at this moment.
Packers are 9 and 5,
so essentially a one and a half game deference over the Packers.
So bears looking more and more like they're going to be crowned NFC North champs.
yeah it definitely felt like between the packers and the bears you know bike is already eliminated
lions hopes are hanging on by a frayed thread so it felt like with either of those teams
whoever won that game was probably going to win the nFC north and well it looks like the
Bears are gonna. Also, they clinched a playoff spot as well. So, hey, hats off to them for doing it.
Hats off to the comeback win. Caleb Williams is starting to transition from the quarterback
you win with, which I think he is right now, but he's, like I say, he's starting to transition
to the quarterback that you can win because of. And that's really been a fun evolution to watch.
got good pocket mobility, good spatial awareness.
He's got some really solid armed talent.
The completion percentage has got to be better, and the slow starts these having the games,
that can, you can get away with that in the regular season.
Playoffs, you're going to have to clean it up.
And especially since that slow start, one of the reasons you're able to get out of the
hole is because Jordan Love got hurt for the Packers.
And you were going up against Michael Parsons, and you were not going against Michael Parsons,
and Josh Jacobs was banged up the entire game.
And, but you can't really use that to take away from the Bears victory.
I mean, don't get me wrong, losing Jordan Love, that's, it's something you have to mention.
But here's the thing.
I see a lot of Packers fans like, oh, we win if we have Jordan Love.
Do you want to hear my comeback to that?
Well, well, crap.
I didn't realize Jordan Love played defense.
That defensive choke job from the Packers, Michael Parsons are not, because Michael Parsons, he isn't playing that secondary.
He wasn't giving up those touchdowns if he was in.
That is diabolical.
And don't get me wrong.
I think Green Bay is going to be in the playoffs.
They have a 92% shot to make it.
So they're functionally in.
They're 95 and 1.
But, oh, my God.
what are you doing over there cheeseheads seriously you should have won that game
jordan love or not you should have won and you didn't and what's really getting disturbing now
and this is really important is that how healthy are you going to be for the playoffs because
the playoffs is not about winning the games themselves it's about winning the war of attrition
And the War of Atrition is something, especially these past few years, the Packers have really struggled with.
You know, Michael Parsons is done for the year.
Who knows if Jeff Jacobs returns to form?
Because these past few games, like, that's not like last week, everything before that, it's like he's been running in quicksand because he's obviously banged up.
And with Jordan Love, that's a concussion.
So maybe he misses a week, maybe he doesn't.
I mean, he'll be back, but sometimes it lingers.
So the Packers are just getting really banged up at, like, the worst possible time.
And I wouldn't be worried about this if they had already clinched.
They could kind of coast to the playoffs, but no such luck.
They still have to play hard.
Yeah.
And you can tell the Micah Parsons injury really hampered the defense in terms of the battle of the trenches.
Caleb Williams didn't get sacked once.
Packers only got to Caleb Williams four times in terms of QB hit.
It was really just the secondary that was doing a pretty fine job up until down the stretch, really.
Packerside, yeah, Jordan Love concussion.
But Malik Willis has shown that he has been a fine backup quarterback.
And even on Saturday night, wasn't that bad himself, 9 for 11, under 21 yards with a passing touchdown.
He ran the ball for 44 yards.
Packers as a whole had
192 rushing yards
Real quick back to the Michael Parsons thing
Bears also had
We're averaging 5.8 yards on the ground per carry
So yeah
This is for the Packers
Pretty terrible timing for all of this to happen
Last week you lose Michael Parsons for the year
Lord knows how long you're going to lose
Jordan Love
So you
You really got to hope that Matt Lafleur goes deep into his bag to get it done in these next two weeks.
That's for sure.
Anything else you want to touch on from this game?
No, not really.
All right.
We'll step aside for a quick break.
When we come back, we'll get into the Sunday night football game, the Patriots, 11-point comeback win against the Ravens.
This is the Fumbblersky podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the stat sheet,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws.
Back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
Welcome back to the Fulburyski podcast.
Time to get into Sunday night football.
The Patriots get the win over the Ravens.
Down by 11 in the fourth quarter.
and Drake May showed up.
What a bounce back victory for the Patriots.
Lost of the bills last week.
Pretty disappointing fashion.
Come back this week.
And boy, I mean, first half was,
that was a weird, weird, weird, weird first half, to say the least.
Drake May had a bad red zone turnover.
You also had a bad fumble in the two-minute drill.
It was a weird first half.
The third quarter wasn't one to make you feel much better as a Patriots fan.
And the Ravens were humming on all cylinders.
This was one of those games that Derek Henry could not be stopped.
He really could not be stopped.
It was like watching Prime Derek Henry.
That's basically what it was, 128 yards.
on the ground for him.
But Drake May ended up with 380 passing yards, two touchdowns,
including the touchdown to cut the lead down to three initially to spark the comeback,
which was the deep ball to Kyle Williams.
Stefan Diggs had himself a really good performance.
Nine catches 138 yards.
And that was a performance that as a Pat's fan, you're thinking,
And all right, there he is.
There he is again.
We have Stefan Diggs and we're actually utilizing him.
That was beautiful.
Like last few weeks, he's been seeing less than 50% of the offensive snap.
So it's like, what's going on here?
And of course, people are like, oh, they're trying to rid of them,
have him not get his contract incentives.
I've also seen, oh, he's also like a 30-year-old receiver coming
off a torn ACL so they're probably trying to literally save his legs for postseason there's a lot
of different theories on what could be happening either way he got the snaps and he showed up
in a big prime time stage uh and that obviously that goes for drakeman as well he was phenomenal
in the fourth quarter he the way he's just so calm
cool and collected in the pocket is so unbelievable.
As a second year quarterback, as a second year quarterback, he just stands in there, takes
hits, makes throws on a dot, on a freaking line.
It's unreal.
It's absolutely unreal what he can do.
Still have him clinch to play, or they have clinched the playoff spot now with this win.
CJ, I mean, obviously, you've been very nervous, Nelly, about the past for, I won't say the entire season, I'll say the majority of the win streak at the, or the, uh, what was the win streak, uh, including coming into this week. You didn't even have the Patriots, uh, winning, but, uh, reverse jinks are, all right. No, no, literally. I am I talking about it. And Adam has a saying, thou shalt not claim reverse jings until said reverse jinks is completed. And,
I'm claiming reverse jinks.
All right.
So how are you feeling?
I mean, I would assume you still have your doubts,
and I'm going to say why.
It's because, well, the injuries are starting to pile up again.
Trevion and Henderson went down with a concussion or head injury.
Also had just injuries to the defense,
still dealing with injuries to the defense.
So how are you feeling?
The only reason I have doubts right now is solely because of the injuries.
Mike Rabel learned and grew from that Bill's game.
This is where we've seen teams in the past and I've brought up the dreaded 2021 season,
but it goes beyond that.
You look at 2019 and 2015, they're humming, they get punched in the mouth, and then they cratered.
Belichick and Brady teams did that.
So I'm like, oh, no, it's happening again, like the meme of Peter Griffin in the straitjacket.
Like, oh, my God, it's happening again.
But no, they went and they learned.
The second half, this time they were second half warriors.
You know, they went out there.
And you know how sometimes you see a play in any game, be it football or anything else.
And you're just like, oh, oh, boy, it's changing.
It's happening.
That's what I saw while on that long touch.
down pass to Kyle Williams.
And I know the Ravens fans are probably going to say, I've seen Lollum's like, oh, you only
one because we didn't have Lamar.
It's like, yeah, because Lamar plays defense.
Furthermore, Ravens, don't you lecture me on injuries when in that game, they lost Trayvion
Henderson, they were already down Will Campbell and Milton Williams, Marcus Jones, Harold
Landry, and Carlton Davis were playing injured.
They didn't have Robert Spillane also.
Barmore was playing injured.
They missed Morgan Moses for a good chunk of that game as well.
Rookie defensive tackle Joshua Farmer hurt.
Your third string defensive tackle, Kyris Tonga, is also hurt.
And just had insult to injury, Pop Douglas also got banged up as well.
So Ravens fans, if you're going to look at me and say, oh, but injuries, shut up.
Just shut up.
Hours greatly outnumbered yours.
And if you pull the quarterback excuse, I'd say,
well, you tried to injure Drake May, but you didn't.
I mean, we saw that.
Blitzer literally had him around the leg.
Like, he's still upright, plays over,
and he's, like, twisting at his ankle,
which I'd hope a Lowy Gilman will get fine for that,
because that's technically roughing the passer
when the quarterback stills the ball and you hit him below the knees in the pocket.
But I digress, wins a win.
Suck it, rat birds.
But, yeah, also, Chris, I don't want to be weird, but I'm seeing it right now.
And a friend of the show, Doug Meyer, was telling me that it's actually pretty glorious.
So, I don't know.
No, it is, it is, it is.
But two things can be true at once.
Yeah.
So what I will tell you is that was a gritty, hard-fought win.
And this is the type of win that they need.
And I think even Chris Collinsworth, who I've mentioned before, I don't particularly
care for said that they this is not a win that happens if you don't lose to the bills instead of
using that bills game as an excuse to turtle they use that as a building block they learned they
evolved and they grew they showed mental toughness they went down to baltimore it was ugly for a bit
then they roared back that was killer instinct that was the clutch gene and am i concerned about
the injuries. Yeah, I am very concerned about the injuries, but I'm not concerned about the mental
toughness. I'm just not because that's because, you know, like I said, when we've seen seasons like
2021, 2019, 2015, you start to say, oh God, I've seen this movie before. But no, no, we have
not. So hats off to them. We also have to look at this from the Ravens perspective. I wanted to
get to that in a second as well. I just wanted to get through the Patriots first and then get
into the ravens. That's my stance on the paths.
The last thing I'll say about the Patriots is that, you know, this
this is a Mike Brable coach team and you can never count out a Mike Grebel coach
team, especially when you look at those Titans teams.
The Ravens. Lost Lamar for half of this game.
And, well, I think the big story that you really look at in this one,
never mind that you blew an 11-point lead.
Because the real story here is that,
Derek Henry
scores his second touchdown of the game
and he's not seen for the final two drives
that the Ravens have the ball for
and the last drive of the game of course
Zay Flowers having the ball punched out
with under two minutes to go
which effectively sealed the game for them
but Derek Henry not in the game
especially the drive after the Patriots score
get the two-point conversion and make it a three-point game
and the quote that John Harbaugh uses for this, pulling it up right now.
I don't like that drive at all, head coach John Harbaugh said.
Looking back, would I rather have had Derek starting the drive?
Yes.
But Derek was kind of ready for Keating to start that drive.
And then he was planning on coming in next.
So they were working that rotation.
How about you just get the ball to the hot hands?
And, you know, you have Derek fucking Henry.
who's been running all over the Pat's defense all night long,
averaging seven yards a carry, by the way.
You have Derek Henry in for that drive,
and maybe we're thinking of the Patriots.
Like, they already had to go 89 yards to score that game-winning touchdown.
But maybe we're talking about that 89 yards with a lot less time.
on the clock at least or maybe even the Ravens putting the game away because they ended up
giving the Patriots what five minutes to work with all in all this is another game where
John Harbaugh and the Ravens blow a fourth quarter lead a two score fourth quarter lead and this
is the response at John Harrow yeah but there's one phrase that I want to focus on in particular
when he said that looking back would i have would i rather have derrick henry starting the drive yes well it's
not like you're the head coach or anything oh i he's like ooh snap i sure wish i could have
derrick henry starting the game my brother in christ did you forget you're the head coach
did you forget you control that and if he's going to dictate to me that oh it was something that
Derek Henry and Keaton Mitchell worked out that's where you as the head coach have to step in
and say no no no no Derek Henry you're averaging almost seven yards of carry get your ass in
the game it's that simple you as head coach are going to do that like why no that's not an
answer. And now we are seeing a vast majority of Ravens fans saying, all right, that's it,
fling him into the Chesapeake. It's over. And you may remember a few weeks ago, when the
NFC North was really tight, I said either Mike Tomlin or John Harbaugh is going to miss the
playoffs and whoever misses the playoffs should get fired. Well, I think we found our guy. After this
season, how he continues to stick with overmatched and unprepared defensive coordinator,
Zach Orr, how his game plan does not evolve.
And after this debacle where you blew yet another two-score lead in the fourth quarter
to a very injured Patriots team, even though you had Tyler Huntley, who, by the way,
is it bad?
He's one of the better backups in the league.
So if you're going to sit here and dictate to me that you should,
keep your job, Mr. Harbaugh, I would say, plain simple, you have a truth deficit.
There is no world where he should keep his job. I'm sorry. There's just not. He has to go.
And I don't think he's a bad coach. I just think a change of scenery would benefit all parties.
And you know what's bad is how did you hear anything Brable said after the game, be it last night or this
morning? When are you talking about how, you know, how they learn from the Bill's game, how they need to be more
aggressive on defense and force more turnovers. The term speed skaters was used to describe
the Baltimore players on offense because how they hold the ball, how they're running like this.
Ball is not close to their body. They're moving like that. And how he literally told his
defenders and how he, if Ravel said this, how you need to take advantage of that. And it
happened twice. So I don't know. Like I just.
think, and I know there are some old
Head Ravens fans, they're going to say,
oh, yeah, but he has a Super Bowl.
Look, Super Bowls are neat,
but they also have a shelf life.
Maybe not historically,
but I think I was in
fifth grade when he won his Super Bowl.
Now look at me. I have a beard.
So, yeah, Harbaugh,
it's time to go. You're getting
the axe, I'm afraid.
This is the 18th
blown lead that John Harbaugh has
had.
18 how many were like in the last two years because this is really starting to become a problem um i'm not sure
i imagine like quite a bit i mean because never mind that there's there's also been games where
they've blown the lead but still come out as the winner like not completely blown it but it's what
but like games where if they gave the other team one extra possession then they were losing
the game. Yeah.
Yeah. Ravens, their fate is no longer in their own hands.
Steelers at 9 and 6.
Going to have to hope for some losses out of them.
So the Ravens season is, well, more than likely over at this rate, not making the
playoffs because they can't get a wild card birth.
They can't clinch a wild card spot.
The only way in is to win the AFC North.
All right. Let's move on to our next topic.
The Jaguars staying hot against the Broncos, getting the road upset.
That's next.
This is the Full Moorovski podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the staff sheet,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws.
Back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
Welcome back to the Funward Whiskey podcast.
Time to talk about probably one of the other big games.
Well, it was the other big game in the week.
The Jaguars, staying red hot, getting the win against the Broncos, 34 to 20.
Upset win against Denver.
For the Jaguars, I mean, this is kind of something that I've really been hammering down,
especially about this offense.
and I think when you especially take into account of who's at quarterback, Trevor Lawrence,
well, we're starting to finally, he's finally playing like the number one pick he's supposed to be.
Finally playing like it.
And he showed it with, I mean, the stat line shows it itself, 279 yards, three touchdowns.
It's almost like he saw the orange and white and knew what he had.
to do and get it done.
Him and Travis Aetian, of course.
Or Travis Aetan, Trevor Atean.
My apologies.
Yeah.
In terms of the, well, we'll stay on the Jaguar side.
How do you see the AFC South going at this rate?
Do you see the Jaguars holding on to this division lead and securing the three spot at this rate?
honestly i i do because i know the texans are 10 and 5 and they're right on your heels
but i can see the jaggs winning out and also cry me if i'm wrong but don't the jags
have tiebreaker uh the like the like if they were to tie because i'm reasonably sure they do but even
if they don't, I still think the Jags are going to do it. Don't give me wrong. I know the Texans are
hot, but it's all a matter of comparison. The Houston Texans had a slug fest, just absolute slog
victory over the Raiders. It was like 23, 21. Meanwhile, the Jaguars marched right into mile
high and turn the Broncos into glue by two scores.
So, yeah, I'm rolling with the Jags.
Yeah.
And now in terms of the number one seat for the AFC, it's come to be a little bit more
wide open now.
The Broncos' chances of getting the one seed going into this week were 78%.
They're now at 42%.
Patriots were at 7%.
Now they're at 40.
The Jaguars were at 1%.
But now they're at 10%.
It doesn't really change much for the Jaguars.
But for the Broncos and the Patriots does kind of change things now.
Because when you look at the Broncos' upcoming schedule,
they still have to play the Chargers one more time.
And next week, well, Christmas Day, they got the Chiefs.
We'll talk about that later on.
But there's a chance that by a time,
week 18 come by 11 o'clock Sunday night
Broncos won't be the one seat anymore
but
that also kind of depends on how the AFC West
ends up shaking out for them if they're able
to get the job done against the Chargers
because as it
as it looks right now
if the Chargers and the Broncos were to have
the same record
say your attack on
one more loss and one more wins
the Chargers. Chargers have the tiebreaker.
They're 5 and 0 in the division, 8 and 2 in the conference.
Broncos, all their losses have come within the conference.
They're 7 and 3, and they're 3 in one in the division.
So the Chargers are a lot closer to taking over the top spot in that division than you would think.
Yeah.
the charters definitely have a path you know they're like you know they're only like a game back i mean
they beat denver and this gets really interesting not just the afc west but literally the entire
aFC as a whole so the chargers got to realize they could literally just unleash pure unadulterated
chaos in that entire uh that that entire conference and you know what i say why not
just just why not you know let's have some fun with this this season's drunk enough already
hell consider this if you will it's week 16 going on week 17 and only two afcc teams
Denver and new england have punched their ticket to the postseason so you know literally
just why not at this point yeah 100 percent
not? Why not? And as far as the game itself goes, this was something that I think a lot
of people were kind of waiting for. You know, the Denver Broncos pulling out a lot of ugly
victories. Well, this time didn't happen. Even though they outgained the Jaguars, almost a hundred
yards, the problem was once they got into plus territory, right? Once they got over the 50,
they forgot how to offense. They went five of 14 off.
third down had six penalties for 60 yards or 61 yards excuse me they lost the turnover battle
jaggs in turn of the ball once denver had two and the jaggs beat them in time possession with
over 33 minutes so they also only got into the red zone twice and went one for two
so like i said this was so this is usually how their games go except this time the luck just ran out
Like, I don't think they're frauds.
I don't think they're bums.
I think they're obviously still a force to be reckoned with
as long as they have that defense, but they're not immortal.
Yeah, and, you know, they said this about the Patriots winning streak as well.
Like, the winning streaks are bound to come to an end,
and it was bound to come to an end for the Broncos at one point or another.
And here it is.
And I agree with you.
I don't think I'm worried about the Broncos that much either.
I am worried about bone necks if he keeps throwing hospital paths.
but that's that.
Let's get right into this next game.
Steelers beating the lines on a controversial offensive pass interference call.
And, well, would you call this an upset win?
Yeah, leaning towards it.
Yeah.
But at the same time, we've kind of seen the Steelers start to turn this.
this weird little corner where Aaron Rogers reverts back to Prime A-Rod.
And he makes some freaking plays.
And that's what he did on Sunday.
Geez, now my computer's geeking out all of a sudden.
Steelers getting the win, 29, 24, and because of the Lions lost,
never mind the fact that we mentioned the Bears clenching a playoff spot,
but the 49ers now also clenching.
a playoff spot with that. So now there's only one
playoff spot remaining, which is
held by the Green Bay Packers
at 9 and 5 and 1, the Lions
and the Buccaneers
and the next two teams out.
But
it's, at this point, if you're looking at the
NFC South,
the only way in
is winning the division. That is the only way.
And the Lions at
8 and 7, Packers at 9 and 5, and
their destiny really now hampers on the fact that they need the Packers to lose out.
It's a similar situation to the Ravens where they now need the Steelers to lose out and their fate is no longer in their hands.
Yeah, pretty much.
And you've heard me this season used the term functionally eliminated.
and yeah, that's really what they are.
But the Steelers, I don't see them losing out,
and I don't see the Ravens winning out to boot.
So this essentially giffraps the Steelers, the division.
But enough of that.
Can we please dive into the call?
Yes.
So Monarch, St. Brown gets called for offense
pass interference, and this is the final play of the game.
and Montere St. Brown, he pushes off, catches the ball at the goal line, doesn't cross the goal line.
He stopped at the one, and then I think it was branched and someone else.
I can't think of who the other player was, shoved him back, and as St. Brown goes down,
he flips the ball to, ends up flipping the ball to Jared Gough, who dives into the end zone for a touchdown because they didn't blow the whistle.
really this should not have been a touchdown this should have been forward progress stopped at the one yard line
but either way the way they called it on the field was a kick in the nuts because they're like
calling the field is a touchdown but there's offensive pass interference and so touchdown
doesn't actually count and because the game can end on an offensive penalty the game is over
So the way they explained it was silly.
I think they got the call.
They got the call wrong in terms of the touchdown.
They didn't get the call.
They got the call right in terms of the OPI.
Well, yeah, a lot of, if you go to any social media page the Lions have,
It's crawling with fans screaming Detroit versus Rass.
Detroit versus everybody.
Oh, poor me.
We've been robbed again.
But this is nothing new for Lions fans.
I'm not going to lie.
They've had some bad luck.
And is this a gut punch?
Yes.
Could we all perhaps be acting like this if it happened to our team?
More likely than not.
But that was the correct call.
Like, I'm sorry.
Well, the thing with the touchdown is, I know they're upset a touchdown got taken off the board,
but one thing that I would really love to stress is that there's a sincere argument to be made that it wasn't even a touchdown.
If I were the ref, Amunrah St. Brown got stood up at the goal line.
Did he not?
He did.
And that happened for like a solid second and a half, long enough to say forward progress died right there.
so too did the play.
And yet, you know, he lateral it back to Jared Goff.
And there's something to be said for that, you know, you play to the whistle.
And that's the truth.
You know, Goff, you know, they flip it back to him and he dives for the TD.
By offensive pass interference.
And now when you...
That was the second time that Detroit had been called for golf.
Exactly.
And the other one got rid of a touchdown on it for Isaac to Slough.
so that's just the problem it was just self-destruction that that's really what it is that this was self-imposed defeat
and one of the things that angers me the most is that when you tried to use logic on these lions fans
they go back to all reliable erm actually it was a phantom call it was a no it should have been a
it shouldn't have been called
is now what they're saying
that Ramsey
you know
the Steelers' safety flopped
or not flopped but he definitely sold it
here's my stance on that
what is past interference
look selling it or not I'm not going to lie
he did kind of sell it
but Chris
you played the game
so you know what to look for
so A this is the
one. Did St. Brown hinder Ramsey's ability to get to the ball? Because defense is right to the ball, too. Yes, he did. And when it comes to interference, there's two things. One, did he have a fistful of Jersey or two, was there a clear push, like a clear extended arm? There was the latter. He extended his arm and hindered Ramsey from getting to the ball. Did he sell it? Yes.
but that does not change the fact that it was textbook pass interference.
Lions, I'm sorry your head coach has a weird fetish for going for it on fourth down that has cost you many games this season.
I'm sorry that your coaching tree was rated this offseason and you're down both your coordinators and multiple position coaches.
I'm sorry that this year has not gone how you want it, but this is on you.
Most of this is on you.
yeah um and i i've also seen the argument too that the reps were getting like there were too many
times that the refs had to get involved especially for the final two minutes of a game you don't want
that no one wants that but when it's textbook shit like that especially like and the steelers
had some calls go against them that led the lions that helped the lions get down the field
especially on fourth down at midfield caldugger gets called for pass interference
hitting JMO before he got the ball.
So it's not like Detroit themselves
were shooting themselves in the foot down the stretch.
Pittsburgh was doing equal of a job in doing that.
But, yeah, we can talk about the extraneous circumstances
in terms of the Lions probably next week
when they actually do get eliminated from playoff contention.
You know, going to NFC conference championship, year one of being really fucking good.
And then last year, being one and done and now just not making playoffs in general.
We can talk.
Let's talk about that next week.
But anything else we want to touch on, though?
No, not really.
I said my piece.
That was the correct call.
I mean, everything that happened, especially with that being the final play of the game, is in the rulebook.
all right we'll step aside for a break got done with our most of our week 16 action since we'll still do top three bond three and recap a Monday night at the end of the show but we're going to get away from all the game stuff we're going to get into more of our Christmas stuff and the main thing we like to do at this time of the year is the naughty and nice segment good contracts bad contracts that's after this this is the homeless podcast
Welcome back to the former risky podcast.
Time to get into our naughty and nice Christmas segment.
Good and bad contracts.
So we'll just do a couple of each on each side.
How do you want to go first?
You want me to go first?
How do you want to do this?
Yeah, I'll go first.
So as the one who brought this segment to the show,
I would like to say every time around the holiday season,
what we do is we look back at the previous free agency
and we see like the biggest contracts that were doled out.
We just want to see if these guys have,
lived up to it basically have they been naughty or have they been nice you know nice being living up
to it naughty means you have it so chris and i are each going to give someone who's been very
naughty and someone who's been a good boy this year so without further ado thank you chris i'll
kick it off my nice player is seahawks quarterback sam darnald and i think it's pretty well
deserved. So for those who don't know, this offseason, Sam Darnold received a three-year,
$100.5 million deal. And he has turned this across 15 games into 3,703 yards, 24 touchdowns,
13 picks, which isn't like super ideal, but a 67.2% completion percentage. And most importantly,
12 points or I mean 12 wins and three losses and not just that mind you it gets even better
they have clinched a playoff berth and as we speak right now are the one seed and most recently
he led an insane comeback to dethrone the L.A. Rams as division leaders they have a real legitimate shot
to win the division if that's not nice i don't know what is now as for naughty i think that's like
the pinnacle of nice contracts right there okay you yeah i mean that that's nice yeah he's getting
everything he wants for christmas and more so chris who's your nice lister uh mine is going to be
Milton Williams he was the yet behind Sam Donald he was the had the second highest
contracts this season in terms of a V his total was a hundred four million but
26 million per year and granted he's missed a few games but I think when you really look at
what's been going on in New England you could honestly pick a lot of the free agency
signings that New England has had and called a nice contract but um
In terms of Williams, he was the biggest – he's been the biggest factor in turn – one of the biggest factors, if not the biggest factor for the Patriots defense, especially in the run game.
And you can kind of see it right now, especially with Milton Williams having missed some games this year and how effective he is on that defensive line, absolute animal, and an amazing pickup coming in from a Philly's defense, freaking poached him.
Yeah, that's, I think when you have yourself contract signing or free agency signing that's up there as highest contracts or largest contracts in a certain free agency period, you really hope that it goes well and it's been going well so far.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
It just sucks that he's hurt right now.
I'm in control, but he has single-handedly won them a game, remember?
Yeah.
He called game against Miami Dolphins.
He's been an insane run defender.
Like, the run defense has completely collapsed without him to show just how integral he is to this team.
Definitely worth every penny of that over $100 million deal.
100%.
I'll go against my naughty contracts.
for this year.
And I'm looking at Chris Godwin.
Got three years, 66 Mill,
after during the off season,
was originally hit with a franchise tag.
But then they gave,
the Bucks gave him the deal.
He was still working on coming back
from his torn ACL,
but so far in year one of this three-year contract,
it's been anything but good.
considering that Chris Godwin has been dealing with injuries for the majority of this season,
if not all of it.
And he's been able to play in seven games, but in seven games, he has 25 catches for 244 yards
in one touchdown this year.
He's averaging 9.8 yards per catch, 34.9 yards per game.
As long as catch so far is only 31.
He's a 29-year-old receiver, and you wonder, and especially when you look at Tampa themselves and all the injuries they've been dealing with, especially with Mike Edens as well.
Mika Bucca was dealing with some injury trouble as well.
Do you wonder if Tampa ended up prematurely bringing him back, but regardless of that,
three years and one of them's already wasted
that's that's basically it right there
yep
so
I do agree by the way Chris
I remember as Pat's fans we were sniffing around
Igbuka and as soon as they
as soon as he got back
with the box we're like oh great
we dodged a bullet
I meant yeah no no no Godwin sorry
wow wow wow no but i meant uh godwin you know we were sniffing around him this off season
and then when the bucks got them back we're just like oh of course you know but we dodged a bullet
or they dodged a bullet where we're not part of the team but you know they don't yeah and all the
other receiverity teams that were sniffing around them in some cases turning down bigger deals to
stay in Tampa oh boy that's huge so for my naughty lister
I'm going offensive line.
And I know it's not a sexy position, but it's something that needs to be said.
Dan Moore of the Tennessee Titans, he was originally a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He signed a four-year, $82 million deal.
Now, every Steelers fan I know, and every Steelers fan online, a lot of sports talking heads,
saw that contract and just said, wait, what?
because Dan Moore was abysmal in Pittsburgh,
one of the worst offensive linemen in the entire league, right?
And surprise, surprise, he's terrible.
So like I said, four years, 82 million.
That's a lot of money.
Four, drum roll, please.
A man with six penalties, that's not like terrible, terrible, but it's not ideal.
and eight sacks allowed.
You know, he is single-handedly getting Cam Ward killed,
and this is supposed to be your franchise left tackle?
No.
My answer is no.
And it gets worse.
And I know offensive line is more vibes-based,
but he's just a turnstile.
He's either allowing Cam Ward to be hit,
or he's allowing someone to just get up in his face.
And this is a contract there to Playdevil's advocate.
Obviously, you're going to take the money if you get offered that.
But the Titans have to know better.
He was awful in Pittsburgh, and you paid him like a franchise left tackle, which he is not.
Now, consider this.
There are 64 starting tackles in the NFL on the left and the right side.
Out of possible 64, he's 60th in terms of an overall PFF grade.
Well, technically 60th out of 82, but among 64 starters, is what I mean.
Does that make sense?
And he's 61st in run block grade, and he's also 61st in past block grade.
He's horrible.
It's not even worth a cent of that money, and shame on the Titans for paying him that.
This is, once again, this is more a Titans thing than a Dan Moore thing.
Look, from nothing comes nothing.
and he was never good.
Yeah.
That's still very naughty behavior.
You're just a lot richer now.
You're not even getting cold, buddy.
You know what?
You're getting a visit from three spirits or something like that
because his play on the field's been awful.
When you also couple that in with the fact that
when you also couple that in with the fact that the Titans
have one of the worst offensive lines,
if not the worst offensive line in the league.
Yeah, that's a huge catalyst as well.
Yes.
All right.
That is our naughty and nice Christmas segment for our good and bad contracts.
We'll step aside for a quick break.
When we come back, we'll get into the week 17 game picks.
This is the Fulmaru's podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the stat sheet,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws.
Back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as the rest of.
rookie, truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
Welcome back to the FulmoRisky podcast.
Get into our week 17 game picks.
If you want to step off of this episode now and resume on Friday or skip ahead to
our week 16, top three, bottom three on our Monday night football recap, go ahead and save
this for Friday.
but this is our recap or
this is our game picks
and you could probably also skip ahead
out of Christmas Day
but this is our
these are our Christmas Day picks
how about that?
We're going to let's just start with the actual Christmas
day stuff
and then we'll
get into the
rest of week 17
or unless you want to start with Rooskey game of the week.
A game of the week.
All right, yeah, let's start with
game of the week instead. I like that since we always do that.
Ruski game of the week for us this week, Texans, Chargers at 4.30 on Saturday.
That game will be played on the NFL network. Chargers are two and a half point favorites at home.
Over under is 39 and a half. Chargers, even though, you know, they're dealing with all these
injuries, they're still getting wins. Somehow, some way. They're on a four-game winning
streak.
They beat the brakes off of the Cowboys last week.
Yeah.
Who do you give the edge to this week or for this game?
Oh, my God.
This is, I don't know.
The Texans have a ferocious defense, easily the best defense in the league.
but the Chargers are also just one of the grittiest teams that I've seen in a while.
Call me crazy, but I'm tilting towards the Chargers on this one.
I'm got to tilt on Chargers as well.
And look, I know Herbert just lit up that really bad Cowboys of Defense,
but for me, it's not about the Texans defense.
It's about the offense.
You may know that they just won a game against the loss.
Vegas Raiders. To me, they didn't beat the Raiders. They escaped the Raiders.
That was a down-to-the-wire game, and it should not have been. I'm sorry, I love CJ Stroud.
And Nico Collins and all them, but like I said, they just still haven't been able to recapture
the magic of Strouds Rook a year, and they haven't been able to figure it out. I don't know why this is,
but it just is. I'm tilting towards the Chargers. I'm expecting a door.
dog fight. I'm expecting a low-scoring slug-best, a slobner-knocker, to use a Chris word.
But regardless, I think the Chargers are slightly more capable on offense, even against
that Texan's defense. So give me the Chargers, probably like if I had a guess something
to the tune of 13 to 10. I could see this being a low-scoring one, especially when you
a couple of the fact that the Texans have number one
or top defense in the league caliber.
And honestly,
I know I just said I'm kind of leaning chargers.
I'm feeling the Texans.
I think I'm feeling the Texans also going to win.
I think this is going to be low scoring no matter what.
And I think the defense can be able to,
the Texans defense could be able to make a few more plays
to get the win.
because, I mean, we also just got done
talk about how bad the Chargers
O-line has been.
Yeah, you can look at the Raiders
giving Texans some hell this past week,
but I'm still feeling the Texans
to get themselves out of that
and be able to get the win this week.
Anything else who want to touch off from this game?
No, not really.
All right. Let's get into the rest of the week's 17 picks,
starting out with Christmas Day.
We'll start with Commanders, Cowboys.
Boy, these, it's unfortunate what's happened through this entire week
to get us to where these Christmas games are going to kind of suck.
Commanders Cowboys, I mean, that could be a good game,
but this could also just be the Cowboys running a muck on the Commander's defense this week.
I got the Cowboys.
getting it done on Christmas
it's like
manager's defense sucks
they got to win against the Giants
but it's the Giants
would they even
would they even play with me
they played Philly and lost
and that's right
uh yeah
season from hell for Washington
Cowboys
they're out of the playoffs
but
they'll probably get the win
CJ
Yeah
Give me Dallas
I just think the commanders
Or crow up into a ball
Got their fingers in their ears
And saying, I want the season to be over
Yeah
It's
I think both teams are at that point now
Especially with this game meaning
Nothing anymore
Detroit, Minnesota
At 430
By the way,
Cowboys favored by
six and a half for that game over under's 50 and a half.
For Vikings, Detroit,
Vikings are six point underdogs against the Lions over under's 44.5.
If I know anything about Dan Campbell and the Lions,
they know how to bounce back and get a win,
especially with their backs against the wall,
season on the line.
I don't really see a way that the Lions lose this game,
but also have to talk about the fact that
Minnesota has been playing that bad either.
They've now won three straight games,
a bit of a weird one against the Giants most recently.
But they shut out the commanders.
They put up 30 against the Cowboys.
Of course, just mentioned the Giants.
So, you know, the, and they also held Jackson Dart to 33 yards of passing in this game as well.
Jackson Dart also only had, we'll talk more.
I'll save the Jackson Dart slander for later.
but Vikings did a fantastic job to hold down the Giants offense this week.
So this could be, this could get interesting, but I could see the lions really running away on this.
But they cannot, they just can't come out the way they did against Pittsburgh and not show up until the fourth quarter again.
Yeah.
I think
we're at a stage
where Detroit knows they're out
and they just want to cause as much
misery and suffering as possible
as long as they'd be taking the Vikings
with them, they're just seeing red
and I think
that they're just going to
just completely annihilate
anything they see now. Too little
too late, but it's the thought that counts, I suppose.
Yeah.
The nightcap for Christmas,
Chiefs Broncos.
in this game also doesn't really have much bearing besides
Chiefs having a chance to muck up the Broncos Christmas Day now
and make the AFC comp, the entirety of the AFC and the AFC West
a little bit more interesting for Week 18.
Chiefs now down to the third quarterback since Gardner-Menschu,
Tours ACL as well, Broncos.
They're 12.5 point favorites on the road over under 36.5.
This is just, this will not be a fun game to,
watched it when the broncos originally beat the chiefs earlier this year this game was lining up
to be uh the christmas miracle for everyone and the broncos eliminating the chiefs from playoff
contention but now they've been eliminated for two weeks so give me the broncos uh i'm going
denver too look gardiner minchu is a serviceable backup right but now you don't even have
have him.
Yeah.
Who's it going to be?
Like Bailey Zappi or someone like that?
Uh, I don't know.
I'm not easy to still there.
Chris Alaticoon.
Oh my God.
North Dakota state legend Chris Alatico?
Correct.
Or was he from South Dakota State?
Yeah.
It's, I do want to say that the, that Minchu tearing his ACL isn't official at, like,
we're recording this on Monday.
It's not official.
but the reports after the game that there were fears that it was going to happen.
So there's a chance that while we're recording this here on Monday, December 22nd at 203 Eastern standard time,
that something's going to change or maybe something changes in between us recording now
and recording our Monday night football recap.
But expect Chris Alatakoon to be the starter, if any such case.
Yeah. I don't know. The chief's just in a weird spot. And regardless, I just, I don't know, I feel they've kind of given up. Like, you've seen McDuffie was pulled, Rushie Rice was pulled, Juania Morris. Like, they're just slowly withdrawing all these guys.
Yeah. And also, they might be moving to Kansas, apparently.
Really?
Yeah. You should check Adam sent us something in the chat.
Also, NBCSports.com, the state of Kansas, has a special announcement about the Chiefs.
The Chiefs in Kansas, or the Chiefs apparently want a new Dome Stadium,
and the state of Kansas might be willing to give it to them in the way the state of Missouri.
Come on.
Yeah, Dome Stadium, I'm not going to lie, that's some weak stuff, but we have to get on.
And did you see the other message, by the way?
That's also very important.
So, you know, let's just keep trucking.
Let's keep on trucking.
Yeah, that'll be a sad day if that actually happens.
Ravens Packers, 8 o'clock on Saturday night.
We talked about the other Saturday game.
Ah, well, Ravens have to win this game to keep their season alive.
I mean, they lose.
they're out. They lose their out.
Because the Steelers can clinch the AFC North with a win or a Ravens
loss. So this is the season right here. But is Lamar even going to play? That's basically
the question. Other than that, I feel the Packers are going to get a bounce back win
here. Do you're in love or not, Malik Willis is a very serviceful quarterback
a very solid quarterback when he's come in for an injured Jordan Love in the last year or two.
And I think he can do enough to get a win against the Ravens team that isn't great on defense.
I told Tuck, I didn't like his secondary.
I really didn't like his defense.
And I mean, shit, we saw Drake May throw for 380, which, I mean, I'm not trying to compare Malik Willis in Drake May, of course.
but there's that yeah i'm going with the packers here this could very well be a backup bowl
but even still like the packers just have more to play for and they're going to want
to punch your ticket to the postseason meanwhile the ravens i just think that's a team
in disarray and more likely than not their head coach is staring down at firing yeah
that too that indeed uh next game on the list honestly let's take a quick break and then we'll
get into the uh rest of the week 17 slate since not a lot sunday doesn't have too many games
and yeah this is the fulberski podcast it may not have always showed it in the stat sheet
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws back to back games where he has
three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
All right.
Week 17, Slate, early afternoon.
Let's get into it.
Bengals, Cardinals, Bengals are seven-point favorites at home over under's
53 and a half.
Give me the Bengals because their offense lights it up.
That's all it is.
Shout out Chase Brown, 32.
agency points for me this week.
Oh, yeah.
This could go either way.
I'm expecting a shootout because either team is that defensively inclined.
But I think this is going to be one of those games where this is back and forth,
but the bangles are always just going to be one step ahead.
So give me the bangles.
We haven't talked about Tankathon like at all this year.
So I guess this would be not a bad time to start talking about it too.
criminals have lost seven in a row and they're at three and twelve where it stands now they would have the fifth overall pick bengals right now would have the ninth overall pick um so see how that plays out um we'll talk about more as we go on but yeah
i can see bangles by a billion honestly yeah true just you never know what jacobi percent you're going to get you know yeah 100 percent uh
Brown, Steelers, Browns are four and a half point underdogs at home against the Steelers over under's 34 and a half.
Steelers are hot right now.
More Tankathon real quick.
Cleveland currently has the third overall pick.
They've lost four in a row, but I mean, Chardar Sanders hasn't been bad either.
They almost beat the bills last week.
And, man, the reporters just, I don't know if you've seen, have you seen his post-game press conferences recently?
No, not as of late.
The reporters are just trying to, like, give, like, throw him alley-ups to get a sound bite,
and Shadur is just having none of it.
He's, whatever's going on, Dion trained him pretty fucking good for the media once he got to the league.
That's for sure.
Yeah, that tracks.
Seems like something Deion would do, and rightfully so.
100%.
For this game, though, I got Steelers win, and they win the NFC North.
They're hot.
give me Petsburg this week
but I could see this being a tight one.
I got the Steelers personally.
I don't see it being the most competitive game in the world,
but I also think Miles Garrett's going to want a beast
and Aaron Rogers isn't exactly mobile.
Yeah.
He's not exactly mobile.
but we've been seeing, I could see some Miles Garrett action.
Also, if he gets a sack this week, then he gets the record officially.
He's a 22 right now.
Perfect.
And also, if he gets a sack this week and breaks the record, then it doesn't get an asterisk
because he did it in 16 games.
Bingo. Good point.
Would you have for this game again?
Steelers.
Yeah.
Titan Saints, Titans are two and a half point underdogs against the Saints this week at home over under's 39 and a half.
It also has some tank-thong stuff tagged to it.
Titans currently hold the six spot or six overall pick at three and twelve,
which didn't really help with the fact that they got the win last week against the Jets.
What was I?
The Saints.
They're currently in the eight spot, eighth overall pick at 5 and 10, which, I mean, if you're, it, it's weird because if you're like Saints fans, you're like happy but not happy at the same time because, you know, the Saints, they're supposed to be shit and you want to lose games.
But at the same time, you're also, you're also seeing progress.
Yeah, Tyler Shuck has actually been solid.
He's not a world beater.
He's kind of a game manager, but he's been, like, decent.
He's been good.
26, I hope he'd be decent, but.
Yeah.
But yeah.
So, hey, maybe they don't go QB.
Maybe they give him another year or two.
Who knows?
Yeah, I'd like to see that.
I'd like, um, I, give me the Shuckster, getting it down against the Titans, though.
I'm also going with Shuck and the Saints.
Yeah.
It's also a working goal, too, got Shuck versus Ward, and I got Shuck.
True, true. Good point. Cults, Jaguars. Colts are seven-point underdog at home against the Jags.
46.5 is the over-under. Well, we don't know what's going to happen with the 49ers Colts game yet because it hasn't happened at the time of this recording.
but the Jaguars have been hotter than a nut sack
literally ever since the blown lead we talk about all the time
like ever since the blown lead against the Texans
they've been rolling ever like since they went to overtime
against the Raiders they've been they put up 25 plus ever since
this offense is humming everything's about it is humming
Colts, I mean, all you got to do now is just stack the box.
You just got to stack the box against the Colts and have Rivers try to be you in the air.
But who knows?
Because maybe we'll eat our words later tonight when the 49ers did the same thing and Rivers gashes them.
Who knows?
No, every play you hand to Jonathan Taylor.
Yeah, well, yeah, you need them.
you need it but i'm i'm going with the jags like rivers are not like this season's
essentially over and let's be honest let's just say the colts pull out a surprise win that i think
their odds jump to a whopping 11% once again i use the term functionally eliminated or not
in teams like the cults are why yeah uh there's we mentioned already the afc still wide open
and there's only two teams that have clinched the playoffs spot,
and that's the Broncos and the Patriots.
So anything can happen here.
We mentioned the Ravens being functionally eliminated.
Colts are kind of in that spot as well, in a sense.
But if they can get a win against the Niners today, then...
They go a long way, but they still don't control their destiny,
which is why, you know, they're where they are.
Yeah, and if they lose, their two games back from the Texans.
So, yeah, functionally eliminated.
If they lose this game, if they were to lose to the Jaguars for week 17,
they would be officially eliminated from playoff contention.
All right.
Next game on the list, Miami and Tampa, a little bit of a Florida battle.
Dolphins are five and a half point underdogs at home over unders 46 and a half.
How do we feel about Quinn yours?
How do we feel about Quinn yours?
I don't.
Tampa wins in the Florida ball.
I like it.
I was going to go Tampa as well because it's just,
that's just the NFC South for you.
And I mean,
that's literally it.
And even the AFC South too,
maybe not this year,
but historically.
AFC South,
if you don't like football,
you don't like those.
divisions. I mean, if you don't like ugly football, you don't like those divisions.
Yeah. Miami's current, Miami also currently holds the 10th seed in the 26 NFL drafts at 6 and 9.
We talked about it too. I mean, if the, we mentioned the bangles, we picked the bangles. So if they win and Miami loses, then Miami takes the nine spot, New Orleans. If they win,
kind of is going to be interesting to see how the strength of schedule plays out for that
ranking, but Miami would have a, um, they would have a better strike the schedule, obviously,
because of their divisional opponents and whatnot. Yeah. So it, there's a lot that could happen
with that. You're right. Still going Tampa. Yeah. Top six, I think, would also be the same
based off of our picks
this week. I would imagine
so far.
Patriots Jets.
Patriots are going to go
with Brady Cook this game. Injuries
are not. This
Pats, I think, are going to go
to East Rutherford, New Jersey,
handle their business.
Because once again, the Jets
are just a team. It's also in total disarray.
There have been some whispers that Aaron
Glenn might not be entirely safe.
And, you know, honestly, like I said, I don't trust Brady Cook to win a game.
Not against Drake May, who just threw for 380 yards.
Yeah.
Facts.
We're the Jets and Tankathon, I guess.
That's the only other thing we can talk about before we move on.
Fourth, three and 12, lost three in a row.
The only reason why they're so low, or I get not low, but,
The reason why they're not higher or lower is because of their strength of schedule.
They have a higher strength of schedule than the Browns and lower than the Cardinals and Titans.
I sense Fernando Mendoza or Dante Moore in their future.
I as well.
I as well.
Carolina, Seattle.
I'm sorry?
I said probably Dante Moore, from being honest.
Okay.
Yeah.
Seattle
I don't know though
I don't know
I know they beat the Rams
I know but
I feel like that's something they were
taken for granted Seattle
is in the driver's seat
and usually when you're in the driver's seat
foot on the gas
give me Seattle
go into the East Coast
Sam Darnold JSN
that dual threat
that dual headed monster running back
underrated tight on AJ Barner
get it done
but CJ
The Panthers are underdogs at home.
Suckage.
Oh, my God.
There's seven and a half point underdogs at home.
Are you can't just pick the Seahawks like that?
We just can't.
We just can't.
I'm picking the Seahawks, but I don't feel comfortable doing it.
The only thing I can say.
I did.
Now I don't.
Thanks.
The only thing I can say is,
to comfortably pick the Seahawks is
Sam Donald Revenge game
because he was playing in Carolina.
That's the only thing I can give right now.
That's the only thing.
Sam,
revenge game, let's go.
That's all I need to hear.
Give me the Seahawks.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
There we go.
We got caught.
And if we're just going to go with the NFC South
is a shit show script,
Panthers should lose this game
to set up a
final matchup between the Panthers.
who's in the box for the title.
Yeah.
All right.
Week 17 late afternoon.
This game is
the tank-a-thon game.
The toilet bowl.
It's the Giants and the Raiders.
Loser of this game,
loser of this game holds the number one pick.
Both teams at 2 and 13.
Raiders are one and a half point favorites against the Giants at home.
I mean, flip a coin.
Literally, like, this is literally who wants it less,
because there's a far greater prize, the first overall pick.
This is, as YouTube or Yerning Tree would put it, a tanked bowl.
Your season has fallen.
Billions must tank.
give me the Giants
winning
winning the game
but losing the tank bowl
just because
they simply just had more talent
but the Raiders
they took the Texas down to the wall
I don't know
I don't know either
I don't know
you know just
just give me the Giants
Jackson darts a funny little creature
I guess
yeah
I'm very concerned
about the giant
I mean, never mind throughout this season.
But, I mean, Jackson Darden, 33 passing yards this past week.
Dude, that was in Vegas.
Dude, I'm telling you, like, you were down by only three points throughout most of the game.
And you pass the ball, like, not even 10 times or, like, well, like 13 times, I think.
13 times, yeah.
Yeah, so not even 15 times.
well 13 times total not even 15 like I said they only threw the ball down by three for the vast majority of the game i'm sorry like the league has to step in that is capital v biggest that that screams tom fuckery if i've ever heard it and i yeah like i think the only thing you can really think of is like they're trying to protect jackson dart by just not having the ball on his hands at this point because he only he only
He only threw the ball four times in the first half.
He only had two passing yards.
Two passing yards in the first half.
They threw it four times.
Like, Giants are also.
The defense is still pretty good.
You know what?
I know.
You know what?
I'm going to go with the Raiders.
I'm going to go with the Raiders because Giants also haven't won a single game.
I mean, I'm going with the Giants.
I mean, I guess we all have to disagree on this one.
But who will?
But remember, if you win the game, you lose the tank bowl.
So is it really worth?
it. I ask these fan bases.
And if you're the Giants, and if you think
darts your QB of the future,
then
then you can just flip the first overall
pick to a QB needy team.
Yeah, that too.
That too.
There's a lot of things you can do with
the normal one pick right now, and
this game is
going to mean a lot.
True.
The only
other game, the 4 o'clock slate,
Buffalo and Philly.
Whoa.
Bills, two and a half point favorites at home against the Eagles.
43.5 is the over under.
The bills are a janky team.
They had a really impressive comeback against the Patriots,
but they had to be down first.
You know, they really had to suffer for a bit.
They almost lost to the Cleveland Browns.
And every so often, they just drop the ball for teams like Miami and Atlanta.
Conversely, that this is big, the Eagles and their whack-ass offensive coordinator, Kevin Petullo, just what even is that?
No, seriously, what even is that?
Like, why?
It's just every time you think they find a rhythm on offense, they say, ha-ha, no, I have fooled you again.
And then they give you a double bird and proceed to do nothing.
yeah this is two very good but very flawed teams going head to head and you know what i kind of
like philly with an upset here yeah they already had their t-shirt and hack game they've won
they've clenched the nfc east at this point they're just playing for a playoff or for playoff
positioning in that top four or really top three because nfc south wherever comes out of that
is going to be a four spot uh so this is a huge game for them bills
Of course, they want to win this game to keep their AFCs division hopes alive.
And I mean, shit, for all we know, they could end up in the number one seed at the end by the time 11 o'clock week 18 on Sunday comes around.
But I am going to pick the bills this week.
Bills at home, I don't know.
The only thing I can really think of is the last time these two teams played, it was shootout.
in Philly.
Philly got the winning
overtime and I'm thinking
that the bills are going to be
thinking about that game
and especially Josh Allen and Sam
we should have had that game
and we're not going to let that happen again.
So I like the bills this week
because Philly is also in
an extremely weird spot
but I feel more weird about Philly
than I do about Buffalo.
And the bills are also 6 and 1 at home this year.
And their
their one home loss
was against the New England
and Patriots.
True.
I just, I feel like
this could, this is a lot
closer than a lot
of people would think, which is why I'm
tilting towards Philly on this one.
I have a very weird feeling.
Yeah.
Sunday night
football, the Bears
and the Niners. Both teams
close to the playoff spot
with the loss to,
with the
lines
losing.
49ers playing the Colts tonight
so still awaiting the result of that
but I mean
I feel like if we can chalk it up to a Niners win
we pick the Niners for our game picks back on Friday
so let's say they're 11 and 4
which by the way
if the Niners win
they would take the five spot over the Rams
in the in the playoff picture because they have a better division record better division record
better conference record these are two teams that oh sorry continue no you can go i was going to say
these are two teams that have something like real to play for you know these are two teams that you know
these are two teams that you know the bears want the division and the niner still have a path to
or at least they can leapfrog the Rams.
I know the bears have home field advantage,
but they're going to have to deal with Christian McCaffrey
and just...
This game's in California.
Well, you said versus bears.
I don't know right.
Oh, wait, if that's the case,
home field advantage, that's going to be huge.
Niners are two-down-favorites at home.
But, yeah, no, I'm actually going with the Niners here.
Because originally I was, oh, me the Bears have.
that but now dealing with christian macabre's going to be something else the niders are one of those
teams where no matter how hard you hit them they just don't go down they're injured and they fight
and they've they're just probably one of the toughest teams that have clinched the playoffs i like
the winning but i think it's going to be an ugly one i'm going to go with the bears because
i think the fact that they can add the the the fact that because this is a team
t-shirt and hack game for them. If they win this game, they win the division.
Because the Packers are 9 and 5 and 1, and because of that tie,
say Bears win this week, 12 and 4, Packers win, they're 10, 5, and 1.
There's no shot that the Packers can win because, well, obviously, the Bears,
damn more wins. That's basically it. So if the Bears win, they win the division.
And I think Ben Johnson's going to get the boys going on this.
And Caleb Williams has shown that he can play on prime time.
Brock Purdy has had some weird performances on primetime.
Very weird performances.
So part of me is like, part of me is like in the Bears this week.
And I'm going to go that way.
Fair enough.
Monday night football, Rams, Falcons.
not much really to say for this game.
Rams are eight and a half point favorites over under's 49 and a half.
This is another game where like before the season,
this was probably going to be somewhat of a highly touted Monday Night Football
matchup late season.
This is probably another matchup that probably could have gotten flexed.
But, you know, the Rams are really good.
Matt Stafford, MVP season.
Keep it on prime time.
Why not?
Just mentioned, Rams could be in the sixth spot heading into this game
and seeing that the Seahawks are going to be playing the Panthers.
Well, chances are they're probably going to have to wait another week
to try to reclaim that top spot.
Yeah, yeah.
You know what, I think I'm with you here.
you're going ramps
we lose
CJ
we must have lost CJ
oh
he's back he's here
he seems alive
yeah
can you hear me
seems like he
yeah I can hear you
my laptop's just freezing
all right
um
I'm on like 10%
all right i got the rams
i'm going with the rams that is all
all right rams and rams that's that's really it
because falcons are not looking great
of course with all the injuries
kirk cousin's done enough but
it's the rams and they're world beaters this year
stafford may just win the MVP
if you can hear me
I'm going with the Rams.
Yeah, I could hear you.
We got that, CJ.
All right.
That is our week 17 game picks.
Real quick on the MVP race,
since we have,
we were just talking about the Rams.
Stafford currently leads the MVP race
minus 2.15 to Drake Mace plus 180
in terms of the MVP odds,
according to Draft Kings.
Josh Allen's at plus 2,500.
Trevor Lawrence plus 3,500 after a great performance against the Broncos.
Justin Herbert's fifth at plus 8,000.
And Caleb Williams 6th, plus 10,000 with Sam Darnold.
All right.
That is our week 17 game picks.
We're going to step aside for a break.
And when we come back, we'll give a recap of Monday night football,
along with Week 16, top three, bottom three.
This is the Pulmariska podcast.
All right, Monday night football is now over.
49ers beat the Colts 48 to 27,
and they move to the fifth seed.
in the NFC.
The Bills, Jaguars, and Texans now have clinched a playoff spot.
Well, let's, who do you want to talk about first?
Let's talk Niners.
There's more to unpack with the Colts, I think.
Yes.
The 49ers, I mean, they are a wagon.
They're a wagon.
And with this win, they are now fifth in the NFC.
with them having a better divisional and conference record
as something that we were saying earlier on in this episode
and they're knocking on the door of potentially being the one seat as well
so anything could happen in these next two weeks
Niners last two games they take on the Bears and the Seahawks
and well that week 18 game against the Seahawks
there's a chance that's for the division right there
there's a chance
question is can they get the job done well
doesn't
they've shown no signs of slowing down
I mean yeah you're probably a little concerned
they gave up 27 to Phillip Rivers and the Colts
but I mean
put a 48 on the road on primetime
can't get much better than that
CJ, your thoughts?
Well, Chris, here's the way I look at it for the Niners.
The NFC, now granted, there are now five teams that have punched their ticket to the postseason,
but a lot is still up in the air, especially in this division.
You have now leapfrog the L.A. Rams where, side note,
How'd you like to be a Rams fan in less than a week?
You go from number one to number six.
Ouch.
Wild.
Yeah, I know.
But hey, this season's just been just wacky.
So that's just the type of stuff you've come to expect.
And, you know, you're 11 and 4.
And you are right on the Seahawks tail.
And, and, and you play them.
that path to the one seed is a very real thing and for the NFC in general right because of this
and because of the Bears winning and the Packers record and the Lions losing just like for
the rest of the way right the Lions odds have dropped to 7 percent so once again what's
term i use functionally eliminated well yeah so they no longer control their own destiny which is like
the one spot you never want to be in the only thing up for grabs is the seventh seed and the nfc north
at least in the nfc panthers right now hold that spot but you still have one more date with the buccaneers
so there you have it
and
and so yeah basically
but the Packers have a 93% chance to win
no Chris
no
oh Chris
all right
we've already gone off the rails today
yeah we've got off the rails
so for those of you don't know
we just got a text from Tuck saying
he wants to join the tail end of the show
But you know what?
I was going to say no, but you know what?
It's Christmas.
Tis the season to be jolly.
And we're going to be very jolly indeed, especially because the bats won.
Yes.
Oh, yes.
We could shed on them a little bit.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
So there's that.
So that's how it is in the NFC.
Niners have a very real path to the one seat, especially since I got to play the Seahawks.
So the only thing left, like I said, is the seventh seed and the NFC sell.
Bucks are still favored to win, though.
5743 so it's not certain
is that a game against
Seahawks at home or on the road
I couldn't tell you
okay
I guess I'll check for myself
no no I'm looking at it like right now
they're home they're home next
oh Cyanas they're home okay but still
that's a red hot Seahawks team
that you're going to be hosting over in Santa Clara
so hey once again you never know
yeah it's been a weird
season so let's talk colts now yeah colts i mean i think that joe i think Troy
Aitman said it best uh at the end of the game and it's the fact that being where you are right
now in this season um if you're the Colts you're you were on the outside looking in coming into
this game granted like you're still technically uh two games out from the final
wild card spot with the Texans but like
they're they're also fundamentally
eliminated oh look who's here
yeah yeah
oh Justin Tucker
the Colts are officially eliminated they're going
yeah
howdy yeah you're right you're right yeah the Colts are out
and uh well you know functionally
eliminated like we like to say
yeah who
the Colts
yeah no they're actually eliminated
No, I'm looking at the
playoff picture right now. Their odds are at
3%. I could have sworn
someone said tonight that if they
lost, the
bills clinch, the Chargers clench.
Yeah, the bills,
the Bills, Charters, and Jags clinch.
But with all due
respect, like, they have a better
record than the Ravens, so
why wouldn't they be? They can't get in.
There's already seven teams. Who's the odd
one out?
Only five teams have clinched
right now.
Houston still hasn't clinched.
They're not getting in over Houston.
Oh, no, no, they're not.
I totally agree with you, like, a hundred and ten percent, but, like, I'm just
saying, like, this is the current reality of the math.
So right now, the teams are just saying statistically.
Yeah, statistically eliminated, like, or as I say, functionally, like, because the Colts,
you don't control your own fate, but imagine that.
Around, like, just before the halfway point of the season, they were seven and one,
sitting pretty is the one seed in the AFC.
And since them, since they were seven and one, they have gone one and six.
Huh?
One in five, right?
One and six.
They're eight and seven now.
I need to stop listening to broadcast them.
I need to stop listening.
Especially a Joe Buck one.
Yes, you do.
So here's the problem.
The thing with the Colts is that, look, sure I have my reservations about Danny Durbs.
Sure, I said if you stop Jonathan Taylor, you stop the Colts.
But this isn't really their fault.
Were they flawed?
Yes, but is it really their fault?
Literally, everything that could go wrong did.
Danny Durbs is having a career year, and in one leg, he fractures his fibula, and in the
other, he tears his Achilles.
So who the hell even knows if he'll be back in time for next season?
Late season injuries are one thing.
Achilles tears on top of that, that's a whole different animal.
then you trade for sauce Gardner
and now you don't have a first round pick BTW
and now he's not playing
he had to trot out old man Philip Rivers
and the one thing I do agree with on the broadcast
Chris said it off cam
Troy Aikman just said
well you essentially
you're still alive but 3%
you don't control your own destiny
you practically have nothing left to play for
why put Philip Rivers through more agony
just like start Riley Leonard
just see what you got there
and so
Actually, it's not even that it's agony.
Like, Philip Rivers was bawling today.
If it wasn't to that,
yeah, that's true.
Like, but, oh, man, like, you can't be committing elder abuse like that.
Yeah.
If he plays like that, I'll be committing elderly abuse every time.
If he plays like that.
235, two touchdowns and interception, 277 passing yards.
You know, low key, the interception was, like, half not his fault.
Tyler Warren telegraphed it.
He peaked in the backfield too soon.
Still, still.
If you, if 44-year-old Philip Rivers is driving the whole thing
and your defense isn't showing up for any of the game
except that one play where they miraculously get an interception,
you're not going to win that game.
The 49ers are too good.
Even though Philip Rivers was dicing up that defense,
which bakes the question,
Like, it makes me think about how good, like, older NFL quarterbacks actually were.
Like, how smart they actually had to be considered.
Yeah.
And the differences between them and now and the things they're allowed to get away with versus what today's NFL.
You can't.
You can't and can't.
Well, you're right.
One thing I will tell you, though, is, well, we're saying who diced up what.
Brock Purdy had five touchdowns in this game.
Yes.
career high.
Huh?
New career high.
Yeah, right.
25 of 34,
295 yards,
five touchdowns and a pick
that that was a tipped ball.
But regardless,
like,
you ought to doff your cap to him as well.
That guy is,
you know,
he just walked right into Lucas Oil Field
and started slinging it.
So from the AFC,
since we were talking about the bigger picture,
right?
Colts,
you're practically your season was on life support you're practically dead all you got to do now is
pull the plug uh the only other team that's on the bubble is the ravens they're on please please let
let it go let let us know no i'm just talking about the bigger picture bro god no i'm talking like we
should be gone now i want oh oh i think you're going after me i'm like dude i'm just calling it
the way it is uh so the steelers like i said the only thing left is like the afc north as far as people
from that division of self to quench.
Probably going to be the Steelers, 901% chance.
And then for the seventh seed, Ravens at 9%, Colts at 3.
You want to know who's got the best odds?
Houston Texans at 7 at a 97% shot.
Oh, my God.
So, yeah, it's probably, they're probably going to be the last two teams in.
So in both conferences, AFC and NFC, there's two stragglers that probably are going to have to go.
At least with the NFC, you don't know.
if it's going to be the Bucks or the Panthers.
So you never know.
That at least is going to be interesting.
The AFC, you already know.
Now that we actually have Tuck on the episode now.
All right.
Can I please hear your anti-Harbaugh rant, pretty please?
I can't do this anymore.
Let's get into it.
I was going to say, I was going to say if we had anything else to talk about at the end.
But since we're already here, let's get to it.
I can't do this.
anymore. This shit hurts. Just when I thought the Ravens couldn't hurt me any more than they
expletably had this season. First off, that Mark Andrews play, I almost had a damn heart attack.
You know which one I'm talking about. Because when I saw that lateral there. Yes, that lateral.
I almost said in the butt, I said Jesus Christ were trying to lose. I, oh, and I'm, and I don't say
that. And I was like, please, just
go into half. We can't
move the ball right now. Just
take the knee.
So we take the knee because Lamar Jackson's
out and we had Tyler Huntley. Okay.
We get the, uh, the
New England gets the ball at half. They move the ball
down the field and they
settle for a field goal or they
punt. So I can't. Yeah.
Yeah. We get the ball. We're moving
it, but we settle short for
uh, we try to kick a 50-something yard
field goal we miss we kick a uh the Patriots try to punt the ball I specifically text my
girlfriend uh you bum when that uh when that kick were missed yes but I think it he wasn't
going to be off it was just more so he didn't have the leg it's like damn it's the problem
loop has only missed three field goals and they've all been from beyond 50 yes and then I'm looking
at the game I'm thinking oh god here we go again and then
we score a touchdown with
say flowers and then
oh no they can't stop
we get to fourth down they decide to punt
oh no it's a fake they don't get it
because we stopped the guy from I
lost my shit on that fake
I was like thank
fuck how does
New England fumble this hard
we get the ball back we score a touchdown
we are deliberately
winning this game it is the
fourth quarter we are dominating
Derek Henry is
killing the New England Patriots. It is 1230 left in the game. This should be in the bag.
What happens the next 12 minutes and 30 seconds? Derek Henry, who ran for 18 rushes,
128 yards and two touchdowns, doesn't touch the fucking feel the remainder of the game.
I've seen inadequacies, I've seen ineptitude, I've never seen this level of stupidity in my life.
This is, oh, I don't understand how we pay the man, the amount of money we pay, and then we
deliberately not have him in when the money counts.
I don't know whose fault that is.
It's John Harbaugh's decision at the end of the day, so it's inexplicably on him.
I don't care what he says on Monday morning press conferences because he said something today.
about had in hindsight i really thought i should have had him had derrick him in the game but
we were going through a rotation or something that's him i don't care he's got to go he's got to go
because if you know derrick himry is bawling but you're still reliant on a rotation at that point
in time you got to go i'm sorry fuck the rotation derrick himry is bawling he's giving you
seven yards per carry and you're telling me nah don't want to use them in the fourth late in the
fourth where we need to move the ball everybody knows you're going to run the ball on first down the
new england knows you're going to run the ball why don't you have your 30 million dollar running back
in the back field i do not understand how we somehow go up big in the fourth and then inexplicably
unacceptably lose the game this isn't the first time this has happened this season this isn't
the second time this has happened.
This has happened several times this season,
and it's happened several times over the years.
There was the stat that came up last night
during Sunday night football work.
The Ravens have given up like six or seven,
double-digit leads in the fourth quarter.
I can't even laugh at that joke because I'm so quick.
I'm sorry, I wasn't going to do the motion,
but as soon as he said that, I'm like,
I was waiting for Chris to do it.
I was laughing so hard when the Pat's sideline was like,
not obviously not doing the six seven they're doing the juggling motion on that de hop catch yeah
and i was like oh my god i'm so i'm so furious i i just want this season to finally be over with
but i we had this game in the bag and yet coaching once again fucked us over in the end i don't
understand how john harvall can say say with the straight face during the press conference
I have zero worries about my job.
You better be fucking worried.
If Steve Boshaddy doesn't fire this man at the end of the season, I'm going to lose it.
How the hell can he sit here with a straight face and say, I'm not worried about my job?
And then in the same thing, breath, say, oh, maybe we should have put Derek Henry in the game leading the fourth.
You fucking think?
I don't understand how that just slips your mind as the head fucking coach.
But again, I digress.
We are seven and eight.
We somehow went out and the Steelers lose out and we make the playoffs, I'm going to be mad
because that means we have to keep John Harbaugh for another season.
I can't do it anymore.
I can't.
I literally cannot deal with this anymore.
I don't care if we have to get another coach that sucks.
I don't care what happens.
I can't deal with this level of this anymore.
We need something new.
I want to keep Todd Munkin, but I think he has.
has to go. I don't want him to go, but I think if to John Harbaugh goes, he has to go too.
Zach Or, with all due respect, you can fuck off too. I'm sick and tired of the beginning of
the season. We get obliterated by, with 40 points by offenses that score 40 points against us.
I'm sick and tired of that. And our offense has to magically bail us out. And more often than not,
they failed this year. I'm sick and tired of that. I'm sick and tired of the inconsistencies on defense.
I just, I'm done with the season.
I hope our season is killed on Sunday.
I just want it to be over with.
If we somehow miraculously make the playoffs,
I'm going to be so conflicted.
I'm going to be so angry and yet so happy.
I don't know how to feel.
I wish this season is over so I can just move on and hope we can somehow get an
offensive alignment in the draft or a pass rusher.
I don't care about the rest of the season.
This team has miraculously figured out in new ways to hurt me
and yet still come back with old and original ways to hurt.
I want this season to be done.
I just want to move on.
This season is a waste.
I'm so sick and tired of the same old, same old Ravens shit.
I just want to move on from this.
And notice how it doesn't say happy Ravens fan.
There's nothing happy about the shit going on over.
on this side i fucking hate life right now this is fucking ridiculous john harbone needs to go and i
really wish you have to say that i would hate life too if my head coach had 18 blown double-digit
fourth quarter leads yeah uh the problem here talk is dare i say uh you're underselling it can can i say that
can say that because i i know the the quote you're talking about with harbaw where he's like oh looking back
right yes well the problem is the full quote is and i said this earlier in the show when you weren't here
looking back would i rather have had derrick starting the drive yes but derrick was kind of ready
for keaton to start that drive to which i say and i says to chris i'll say it to you well it's
not like i don't know you're the head coach or anything
Because the way he's talking about, it's like, oh, I would have.
Like, it's like he's saying, oh, I wanted that.
But Derek was ready for Keaton to start.
It's like, who the hell's in charge?
Like, dude, I'm actually, like, as a Pat's fan who beat you guys, I am mad for you.
Like, I was bracing myself.
I was waiting.
It's like, oh, when's Henry coming back in?
Then I didn't.
Then I saw Zay Flowers fumble that ball.
And I'm like, well, I'll take it.
I didn't want to rip my job just saying like that's how it was.
But the thing for Harbaugh is, and Tuck, as you know right now,
I'm in a, I'm close-ish to Baltimore.
I'm in the great state of Delaware right now.
And if I go on Baltimore sports radio, all I hear about is they want John Harbaugh,
Baltimore, went into a cannon and launched into the Chesape.
because that is the most, I've seen malpractice before in the NFL.
I've seen people give up 20 to three leads in the Super Bowl.
I've never seen this repeated amount of stupidity in one person.
I respect John Harbaugh for all he's done for us,
but it comes a point in time where enough is enough
and a new leader needs to come in.
I need him expeditiously.
Yeah, no, I hear you.
And remember how I said last season about how I was going back and forth
with some Ravens fans online and they said,
you can't talk trash about Harbaugh, he has a ring.
And I said on the show and I mused openly
how I thought that ring was the exception
and not the rule.
I think that takes been vindicated now, no.
That is the exception.
I said this earlier.
That ring that you got happened when I was in fifth grade
and you two were in sixth grade.
And look, historically it's cool,
but rings have a shelf life.
How do you have a two-time MVP and arguably, no, not arguably, I'm just going to say, the best quarterback, your franchise has ever had, and you have not won anything with them.
You've only made, and ever since, they lost the Super Bowl, or he won the Super Bowl, he has only made it back to the AFC championship game once, and you lost.
So he has to go.
And, Tuck, you know that I was even crazy about Hardball when you first met me, when I first joined the show.
show. I'd always thought he was overrated. And now I'm just glad the broader public's finally
understanding the stuff that I had known for a few years. And honestly, I'm rooting for you guys
to fire him because even though I'm a Pats fan, I like Lamar Jackson. I, Derek Henry is one of
my favorite non-Pats players. I like Marlon Humphrey. I like Zay Flowers. Marlon Humphrey's had a
bad season. Okay. I mean, I'm just saying, like, as a player, and in the grand calculus, I like him.
Well, and hopefully got away with P.I.
Yeah, he totally did.
The most agreed with P.I.
Look, I want to be mad about him getting away of P.I.
And I am, but there's two ways to look at it.
One, that was the ultimate ball don't lie moment, was it not?
Yeah.
Two, my dad mentioned this.
It was something I was thinking, but he verbalized it.
It's kind of low-key a blessing in disguise because New England probably would have scored
like way too fast and given the Ravens.
Oh, yeah, 100%.
So do with that what you will.
But overall, like,
Tuck, I think we're all in agreement.
Harbaugh has to go.
And I already have a thumbnail pre-made
just in case for this off-season.
All right.
My final thing when we wrap this.
I remember.
I remember when you guys said,
when we went up by 11 and you guys like,
oh my God, the roof is falling in.
It's horrible.
No, that was C.
what did i what did i say in the group chat let drake make cook because i knew if the game was
still close to right on friday too no i said that i said that he quoted me oh and uh yeah
quoted me you want to oh it was only cj said that no only cj said let drake may cook you
ginger lummox i've been saying let drake cook he said let drake make cook because he he believes
if they finally let drink may off the leaves the team would be better
better for it. And I said that, what happened? Yeah, 300 yards. What are you going to say to that,
haters? Here's a 300 yard game. Yeah, how about 380 and over 400 total yards?
If they let Drake May cook, we would lose that game because if we have a double-digit lead and
they cut it down to three, we would lose that game because I have no faith in this coaching team
in this coaching to keep us in that game. All right. I think that's,
That's a good spot to end on right there.
And I have a goal where we're going to get this done in under two hours.
All right.
Let's get into our week 16, top three, bottom three.
This was a hell of a week of football.
I'm going to say that right now real quick before we get going.
Hell of a week of football.
They did it again.
Infestment on hell.
Emphasis on hell.
Oh, for you.
Top three.
Uh, Seahawks down 14 and the fourth, come back and beat the Rams at home and take the number one seed.
Sam Darnold was amazing for the fourth.
Sam Darnel ended up being amazing for the final eight minutes of this game.
And I needed him to be.
I had to stop myself for a second there.
Um, but yeah, I mean, massive, massive win.
Uh, especially considering the circumstances where we are in the season.
Jaguars, standing the winning streak, taking down the number one team in the AFC and putting up 30 on the road in Denver against one of the best defenses in the league.
Impressive stuff.
Chicago Bears, again, the monkey off their back, beating the Packers in a wild overtime finish.
One of those finishes that it's going to go down as game of the year.
there's been a lot of like it feels like every week we're like wow that was the game of the year
and especially like Seahawks game too that was a game the year like game bears i mean down
of their last breath kick the field goal onside kick touchdown to a guy who who had that touchdown
was jade's second career reception or maybe he had two regular season catches going into that i forget
Either way, on-draft of pre-agent, make up a play, and then DJ more at the end.
Bottom three.
The Ravens.
Blue an 11-point lead to the Patriots and lost on at home on Sunday night football.
Sorry, Chuck.
Sorry, Chuck.
It is what it is.
It's more of just where you've put yourself at this point and making it that.
It's essentially out of reach, and you need the Steelers to have, like, the wildest collapse you've ever seen in your life.
Not the wildest.
I mean, look at the Colts.
True.
True.
I'm just saying from how the Steelers look right now is what I mean.
But if they somehow lose to Cleveland, I'd be ridiculous.
Rams, on the other side of the Seahawks comeback when blowing the, did I say 14?
point lead. I meant
16 point lead against
Seahawks blew it
on Thursday night football
on the road. Losing the one
seat and not only losing the one seed
but being dropped
all the way down to the sixth seed because of
the 49ers win. Talk
about an all-time kicking the nuts.
Along with that, your wide receiver has gone off
the fucking rails.
The Lions
losing to the Steelers and yeah they put up 24 but this offense was dead
dead dead dead all game long up until the last eight minutes of this game
when Jared got decided he was done throwing the ball to dirt every other throw
but at the end of the day like they they even scored the game winning touchdown
and got called back for PI got called for PI on the final two plays
of the game and they lost after the Steelers had gifted them two penalties of their own to get
them into that spot credit that they almost pulled off the comeback but when you now take
into this loss kind of basically the same thing as the Ravens Lions their destiny is no longer
in their hands and chances are they will be eliminated next week thoughts thoughts that we can
in a minute.
Rams unfortunate situation for them.
Ravens, you know how I feel about it.
Lions, you had the opportunity to win this game and you guys throw it away.
You had 60 minutes to win this game and you chose not to do anything with it.
Nothing more.
CJ?
Well, Ravens, we've done it to death.
That penalty was legit.
You shy yourself in the foot, Womp, Wamp, Wamp.
And Rams, well, like I said earlier, going from one to six, man.
What a punch in the nuts that is.
Yikes.
All right.
